2023.05.30 01:16 Boring_Barber5172 Jeff Gordon Statistical and Historical Deep Dive. Impact goes beyond championships. My case for Gordon as the undisputed GOAT of NASCAR.
Legacy and Impact on the Sport “Watershed moment” is what Larry McReynolds used to describe Jeff Gordon’s first career win in the 1994 Coke 600. A 22 year old racer from California with an open wheel background was something unheard of in NASCAR at the time. That same 22 year old winning one of the sport’s biggest races was even more preposterous. The win would not only begin to propel Gordon into NASCAR superstardom, turning him into a household name who transcended the sport like no other, becoming a bonafide A List celebrity in the process, but fundamentally altered the landscape of the sport. What Jeff Gordon did for the sport can not be understated. What Babe Ruth did for Baseball, what Michael Jordan did for Basketball, what Tiger Woods did for Golf, Jeff Gordon did for NASCAR. The quick success of the young, clean cut, personable driver from California helped grow the sport from its regionally dominated southern roots into a nationally and internationally well known sport, so much so it became the 2nd most watched sport behind only football. Gordon provided audiences with a different type of driver to cheer for. Not cut from the same cloth as the typical driver, Gordon brought in an entirely new audience which sparked a culture rivalry between the new (Gordon) and old (Earnhardt) on track and off. With this new audience and rivalry, media attention, viewership, and sponsorship all grew as new tracks not only entered the sport, but thrived. The success of Gordon was the beginning of the youth movement in the sport as owner’s radically changed their perspective from veteran southern drivers to young guns from across the nation. It opened the door for the Gillette Young Guns in the 00s, West Coast drivers like Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, and the Busch Brothers, to dirt drivers like Larson, Stenhouse, and Bell, and guys who grew up Gordon fans getting their shot at a young age like Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin. Where the sport is today and who is in the sport today is due to Jeff Gordon.
Ownership Success Jeff Gordon convinced Rick Hendrick and Lowe’s to take a shot on Jimmie Johnson, another young kid from California who drove anything with an engine to great success. Bringing in Chad Knaus, an old Rainbow Warrior on the 24, Gordon helped form one of the the most dominant DriveCrew Chief pairings of all time, going on to be 7x Champions winning 83 races. Gordon’s ownership success did not end here. Taking on an even bigger role for Hendrick Motorsports, he revitalized the organization that was slumping after he departed. He assisted with HMS Track Attack Program, which only furthered the organizations dominance on road courses. Gordon also recruited Kyle Larson to the former 48 team, winning 10 races and the championship in 2021. Named Vice Chairman in 2022, Gordon is set to replace Rick Hendrick and guide the organization in the future.
Hard Statistics Summary: Jeff Gordon has all the volume stats, racing his way to the Modern Era leader in Wins, Top 5s, Top 10s, 2nd Place Finishes, Podiums, Poles, (ranks Top 5 All Time in each category) and scoring the most points in a year 7 times. He places Top 5 in the Modern Era for Laps Led, Lead Lap Finishes Win%, Top 5%, Top 10%. Gordon is also the All Time Leader in consecutive starts. His success extended to Darlington, Martinsville, Pocono, and Sonoma. The pattern shows. Tracks that are tough to drive, driver’s tracks, Gordon dominated. He is seen riddled throughout track history books. Another underrated stat is Gordon’s Lead Lap Finishes, which he owns the record at many tracks, proving his consistency and longevity. The Greatest Seasons - 1997 and 1998 1997 Gordon went from champion to all time great at the young age of 25. 10 wins, 22 Top 5s, 23 Top 10s in 32 races, winning the championship.
He won the Daytona 500, Coke 600, Southern 500, which led him to being the second and final winner of the Winston Million. He won another million by winning the All-Star race. He also won at Rockingham, Bristol, Martinsville, Pocono, Auto Club,, Watkins Glen, and Loudon.
Gordon did even better in 1998. In 33 races, he set a modern era record of 13 wins, with 26 Top 5s, 28 Top 10s, and a 5.7 average finish.
Gordon would win the Coke 600, Southern 500 (No Bull 5 Winner, 1 Million Bonus), the first ever night race at Daytona in the Pepsi 400, Brickyard 400 (No Bull 5 Winner, 1 Million Bonus), both road courses, swept Rockingham, along with wins at Bristol, Pocono, Michigan, New Hampshire, and the finale at Atlanta.
In the final 20 races, Gordon’s worst finish was 7th, posting 10 wins and 19 Top 5s. He had 8 consecutive Top 3 finishes, during that stretch he won 4 straight. After a disappointing 5th, he went on to post 5 consecutive Top 2 finishes. He ended the season winning 3 out of the final 4 races.
His 1997 and 1998 combined seasons led to 2 championships and 23 wins, 48 Top 5s, 51 Top 10s in 65 races. It included 6 Crown Jewel Wins (1x Daytona 500, 2x Coke 600, 2x Southern 500, 1x Brickyard 400) and 4 million in bonus winnings.
Conclusion Nobody was better than Jeff Gordon in my eyes. He was the most influential driver the sport will likely ever have and was the sports greatest driver. He grew the sport to new heights and opened the door for hundreds of drivers. He has the modern era records for nearly every major stat from Wins to Poles to Top 5s and Top 10s. He won the biggest races multiple times over. He won championships. He is a successful owner.
Jeff Gordon is the undisputed GOAT of NASCAR.

2023.05.30 01:15 Creepy-Corner6896 Working Cobra Concept (Movie Star)
Cobra a tower lost to time but what if it was given new life in btd6? How would you make a purely fighting tower whos main usage was taken by
Ben a working tower. By modelling him off movies of course! When you do that you can even make a melee ranged hybrid tower! the following is my concept for a
Cobra Rerelease, please let me know if you like it or what you would want to see changed.
New Tower (kind of) Cobra (melee/range mixed): Starts by Punching Balloons with brass knuckles popping thru blues. Support Tower $450
Top Path (melee) Boxing Legend (Rocky)
- Fisticufs ($260): Melee Punches now pop lead, ice balloons and deal one more
damage
- Boxing Gloves ($500): Melee Punches now pop a small group of balloons (5) and deals one more damage
- Shifty ($1200): Allows Cobra to teleport to anywhere on the map to melee
- Tag Team ($3000): Allows you to merge two Melee Cobras together making them deal double damage each but attack 30% Slower (can only be done once)
- World Champ ($12000) Cobra does double damage to Moabs and does 5 more damage and attacks 60% Faster
Middle Path (Eco) Ultimate Robber (Die Hard)
- Ski Mask ($300) Allows Cobra to see Camo +10% Attack Range
- Thiefvery ($550) Gains towers in radius sell value per round (1% of sell value) up to $100
- Vault Looting ($1200) Gains 2% of Bank’s in radius cash up to 5 banks and $500 per round
- Intel Tracker ($4500) On use gives towers in radius 50% more attack speed 50% more damage and Camo, Lead Detection, also doubles the limit of Valut Looting and triples the limit of Thiefvery to a max of 1K and 300 relatively
- Master Plan ($50000) Sends a Monkey Blimp that has 100 Hp and moves through the track acting as a fake end point for balloons (basically a wall of 100Hp) all normal balloons only deal 1Hp Moabs/Bfbs 2Hp Zomg 3Hp DDT 5Hp and BAD 100 Hp (only pops the blimps balloons are destroyed and you get money according to what they would have been worth) Takes 30s to get to end of track if multiple lanes sends smaller ones with split health equal to the lanes filled 90s to recharge
Bottom Path: Master Assassin (John Wick)
- Sidearm ($300) gives Cobra a ranged attack with the melee that does 1 Damage per shot but pierces 3 balloons
- Dual Wield ($500) Removes the Melee option for Cobra and instead gives it two shots that deal 3 damage per shot with 3 pierce
- Helping Hand ($750) Gives the Cobra a dog companion that sit on the track and bites the balloons causing them to be stunned for a very short time only attack really fast
- Shotgun ($3200) Gives the Cobra a Shotgun to replace one of the pistols giving a spread shot that deals 6 Damage to Balloons and 10 to Moabs while pushing both back when hit with the shotgun
- The Reaper ($60000) Gives the Cobra a Crazy Shotgun that kills Rainbows in one hit and Ceramics in two and will instantly pop a Moab or Bfb however it removes the dog and instead shoots extremely fast with a wide range every 10 shots it requires 5s to reload
Paragon Concept: The Unkillable ($320K) The Cobra now has a whole squad of Cobra Minions (5 minions) 2 Minions have a slightly reduced power Reaper Shotgun shot, one Minion has a Tophat and monocle generating 5K cash a round, 2 other Minions are Tag Team Monkeys with belts that say champ doing the same as two World Champs would and the main Cobra (the unkillable) would show you what Moabs would be on the next round and slow any balloon or moab on the screen by 30%
Some issues I could already see is that some paths are weaker and way to expensive but like I said its only a concept and if you have any way to fix these issues let me know!

2023.05.30 01:04 Ok-Victory-2395 Red heathen in the science lab
So I destroyed the Rainbow Totem too early where the red heathen was occupying. And now he went to the science lab and my villager (who is an adept scientist) keeps running away. And I can’t convert the purple one.
I would distract the red and yellow heathens with bees and army villager would keep saying it’s improving but I don’t see any progress in the info bar.
How can I level up my villager while the red one is there?

| Bought this at a yard sale nearly a year ago on the dot! Happy to find it all complete. Pomegranate continues to be one of my favourite brands, and this one did not disappoint. 2023.05.30 00:55 addict75 Worked on 2 submissions, boosted both, and both rejected: Am I doing something wrong about this one ?
| Hi guys. I am pretty new to the wayfarer community, I did like 600 reviews last week and did the best I can regarding the Wayspots criteria. I am currently « Great » and on my 600 reviews got 210 validated wayspots and 8 rejections (not sure if the stats are important but I’m giving those here just in case) Me & my wife worked on 4 new wayspot propositions , and did enough review to get them boosted, and followed what I did read here (my wife waited 10 days+ to boost her submissions, while mine were 2 month old when I boosted them). I’m not going to go over all 4 of them but only this one, just to know if I’m doing something poorly. I will translate the titles an description right there: Name: Rainbow Floral Garden Description: This is a rainbow floral garden created maintenaned by the neighborhood residents. Details: There is a vaste grass field and a soccier field close to this colored little garden. It’s interesting to know that there is a community garden right here. It got rejected for: - Natural Feature
- Private residence or Farm
I don’t understand how is this a natural feature… It is ? If so, I think that there should not be any park as wayspot ? Also the private residence or Farm point : It’s open to everyone and there is 3 entrance to this floral community garden. I’m not really sure what I should do here: Is this a bad wayspot ? I feel like it’s a suitable spot for culture & meeting people. What should I do ? Resubmit instead of appeal ? (I already have another wayspot on appeal.) Is it not enough to be a wayspot ? Should I enhance something ? Thanks for your help and sorry for the long text, I want to give as much context as possible. submitted by addict75 to NianticWayfarer [link] [comments] |
2023.05.30 00:53 DaughterWifeMum Big projects
| I started teaching myself to crochet last fall from YouTube videos. It's going well, and I enjoy it. However, I lose interest in bigger projects. I've been working on a long scarf for the hubsnerd since early on in my crochet journey. I've been working on a poncho to go with a bucket hat for a couple of months... and the bucket hat took ages too. However, anytime I start a project for my nearly 2 and a half year old, I work at that bugger until it's done. I made her 2 plushies, a hood, and now I'm working on a rainbow blanket. She won't wear the hood, and since the blanket is not made of a square of plain cotton material (she hoards receiving blankets) I doubt she'll care about the one I'm making either. But whenever I sit to crochet, I'm working on her blanket. It'll be done in reasonable time, unlike that stupid poncho or scarf, both of which I started because I wanted to make them. It doesn't matter who I am making something for. If it takes more than a day or two, I will lose interest. Unless it's for my kid... who doesn't give one flying rat's behind if I make her things or not. Am I the only one like this? WHY am I like this?? Pics of the hood included, and this is the link to the tutorial. submitted by DaughterWifeMum to crochet [link] [comments] |

2023.05.30 00:49 Glum_Editor_7028 Heating Problems For Brazillian Rainbow Boa
| I had just bought this awesome pre-made bioactive enclosure off someone on facebook (checked to make sure no mites or any of that) plan to put a juvenile brazillian rainbow boa at the end of july. My only problem now is figuring out how to heat this thing there are 2 bulb fixtures at the top for a heating bulb possibly but heard these were dangerous and can cause burns to your snake there is no cage cutout at the top so i can put it above the tank and the custom built walls are made of 1 1/2 inch cork so i wouldnt know if side heating would be good and the drainage and substrate layer are about 10inches thick which would totally disregard any under belly heating does anyone have any ideas? submitted by Glum_Editor_7028 to snakes [link] [comments] |
2023.05.30 00:44 Asdrodon Does the protagonist in Soulhome change?
I just started reading Soulhome, and find myself not really into the whole not believing in kindness, manipulative grouch schtick. It's not that I want him to be all sunshine and rainbows or anything, I'm just not into the entirely grim outlook that's happening so far.
So, essentially, does that meaningfully change?

2023.05.30 00:39 DeeeBussy Thermal Runaway Printer Halted
Sooo its beeen a trouble, stock everything, printer was fine printing and after few prints it would go to thermal runaway error. Id have to try to send the same print 3-4 times to get ot to work well.
Doing some research and reading it possibly to be a hot end issue with a fan or whatever, I bought sprite hot end and installed it. Now it starts printing snd sgoes to that error mode again no matter how many times i start over or continue the print.
Changes out the entire heated bed thinking it was a bed issue but still the same, not using heated bed, its set to 0
I dont know where else to look for the problem, is it the board issue? :X

2023.05.30 00:31 jessicaleidoscope Nolita 19/Nolita 15 as Dempsey Carryall insert?
Hey all! Just joined the group. :)
I just purchased the newest rainbow Pride edition of the Dempsey Carryall bag with the matching phone wallet. I have been using two separate wristlets in my previous Dempsey Carryall bag (Disney Villians) to organize my smaller items I carry daily. I've been looking at the possibility of getting a Nolita 15 or Nolita 19 to replace my two wristlets I currently use.
My question is, would that be weird to use a small handbag/wristlet combo inside of another bag? If not, any suggestions on a Nolita 15/19 that would look cute with the Rainbow Dempsey Carryall?

| Been wanting to try this one a while but I just couldn't get myself to pay $45 an 1/8. So I sank the $60 for a popcorn quarter on a whim. It's incredible stuff, even for being just popcorn. I picked it up after someone has suggested it was similar to Durban Poison and they were absolutely right. The smell is such a rainbow of fruity and sweet smells. It's absolutely undeniably pleasant. It tastes just as smooth and fruity as it smells. I can't seem to make myself cough from it. Definitely 💯 try it submitted by aharaabot to armmj [link] [comments] |
