My review for The Quintessential Quintuplets
2023.06.11 00:11 DavidAltAccount My review for The Quintessential Quintuplets
So I just finished the show and I get this sub might he a bit dead but I need to talk about it.
I wanna start by saying I don't usually watch many animes outside the shounen/action genre. After all I've always preferred that sort of show. However this one caught my eye since it released since I saw alot of fan art for it so after doing some research it sounded quite intresting. And now here we are however many years later and I've just finished it š
Background aside this show really took my by suprise. I assumed it would be a run if the mill romance show where the characters all fall in love with the MC for dumb reasons because it common in harem type shows but this blew all expectations out of the water. First to say the characters are all amazing. Whilst I have my own teir list for the girls and my preferred order for favourites I dont dislike any of them and they all intrest me greatly and Fuutaro himself has more of a personality than most romance MC's.
I mainly want to talk about the ending here however and I'm not dissappointed at all. To put the negative first I would've preferred he end up with Miku or Nino since I love them two the most. However, whoever he had ended up with I would've been happy since the show made me care for these characters so much that all I wanted was for them all to be happy. And whilst it took me by suprise that Yotsuba was the one he chose in the end seeing how they always were in the show it makes alot of sense. My prediction was Itski since the way she's marketed as I always assumed she was the main sibling yet the more the show went on the smaller amount of screen time she got which confused me. I guess it goes to show that I shouldn't try to figure out the ending before seeing the journey.
This show constantly had me laughing, smiling, nearly in tears, sad and happy all at the same time occasionally. It really touched my heart and made me realise that maybe I should give more of these type of shows a chance. I was always on the edge of my seat after every new mystery. Who would've thought a show about tutoring five girls would have so many twists.
The most simple way to put it is in the short amount of episodes there is I have grown to love this show. Its definitely entered my top ten that's for sure. I love the characters and I just want to give each of them a hug (especially Miku and Nino) and the ending was about as perfect as I could've wanted. Showing the five all grown up pursuing their dreams was an amazing way to close out the show. I'm sorry if this review makes little sense sometimes but I'm writing this all straight after finishing it so I'm still very fresh and wanted to get all my thoughts out there since I don't have many people to talk to about my love for anime especially shows like this with. I can't say how much this show took me by suprise and amazed me almost every episode was better than the last. I love all of the quintuplets aswell as fuutaro obviously I guess in short I'm glad I watched this show. Its been such a fantastic journey start to end.
(p.s) I'm also so glad I managed to go into it spoiler free š

2023.06.10 23:36 ImWeirdoAndThatsOK Can dental bonding "veneers" be removed safely? Are they always an esthetic procedure or are sometimes a necessity?
Hi, I got dental bondings in my two front teeth because I had notorious cavities in the back of those teeth (photo) and they were a little bit cropped. My dentist told me that I needed dental bonding because the cavities could get worse and that I already had some damage in my dentin (although I didn't have any pain or discomfort drinking hot/cold beverages). But he added bonding all around my 2 teeth (like bonding veneers I guess?) After the procedure I consultes another dentist, who in fact is my aunt, and she told me that it was a good idea to get my "veneers" because adding bonding only to the areas were my cavities were would have the bonding falling off my teeth over and over again. However, I don't like my fake teeth... I also have noticed a little change in my speech when pronouncing the "s" sound. Is it possible to get it removed without damaging my teeth to a point where I'd feel a lot of pain or discomfort? I think the procedure was minimal invasive, because it didn't require anesthesia and the bonding was injected to a dental impression or something like that. The dentist added an acid for like 10 seconds and a guy from Dentistry told me that the acid doesn't damage the enamel, but that the enamel can be damaged during the removal process if the dentist is not careful. The dentist who added the bonding told me that they can be removed, but that I'd need to keep bonding in the areas where the cavities were because they can appear again. Any second opinion? How common and safe is the removal procedure? I'd like to hear your advice Thank you :) submitted by ImWeirdoAndThatsOK to askdentists [link] [comments]
2023.06.10 23:31 spasticspetsnaz Holding on by my fingernails all my life (TW SA)
Sorry in advance for the length of this post, but I can't let it all just keep festering inside. Apologies for any typos.
Life has been hell lately and it's left me dwelling on something I really need to get off my chest.
When I was 12 I began being raped by a "friends" father. I won't go into all the details, but he first used coke, then eventually meth to keep me coming back. Make me willing to degrade and humiliate me in ways I can't allow myself to recall. When they surface I drink until I'm comatose.
The rape, torture and humiliation ended when I turned 14. By that time his wife had left him, taking his son along with her. To this day I don't know if I'll hug him if I see him or beat him to death.
In any case, that made him spiral, he'd always been a "functional" addict. Good at feigning normalcy while a monster his behind the mask. That mask wasn't on when I was with him. He nearly killed me strangling me with a silk scarf multiple times. Stuck needles in my feet. Between my fingers, sodomized me with objects when he was too high to rape me himself. Every session ended with him giving me something to keep me high till the next time. Like clockwork, when I ran out, I went over and he was literally expecting me.
This time was a bit different. He told me to come over the very next night. (I usually went over between 10 and midnight and snuck back in at 3 or 4. I always came in through the back patio door, but it was usually closed, unlocked, but closed. Tonight it was wide open. He didn't like me speaking unless told to, so I silently went through the house. It didn't take long to find him in the bathroom, dead. He'd overdosed. I didn't even touch his body. I just left.
I left in tears, sobbing. Because he'd fucked up my perception of love and intimacy that I genuinely thought he was my lover. Not my rapist, not my sadist.
I was saved, I was finally safe. I was also heartbroken and suicidal. When I got home, I tried to cut off my own penis with a pair of scissors but only ended up with a slice and a lot of blood. Then the detoxing started. After 2 years of stimulants and forcibly going cold turkey with only a basic understanding of what was happening to me. I was a wreck. I'd leave the house all day and just hide away from people crying in drainage ditches or off trail at a nearby park.
This all happened at the beginning of summer, by the time school started again, I was able to stay stable with the help of copious amounts of weed and Robitussin.
But it was my secret, my burden. My parents never knew, my friends never new. And I quieted the trauma by immersing myself in things that interested me. Easier to not think about yourself when your mind is focused on history, or physics, or world religions. It worked for far longer than it should have. But there was a darkness I was keeping at bay. I craved the feeling of being used, being hurt, being humiliated, being raped with no ability to fight back.
I liked women, and men, but I never pursued relationships because I could never trust myself enough to be who I wanted to be around others. Some of those friends I wanted to become lovers I pushed away and burned the bridges I had between them, all because I hated who I was, who I still am to this day.
Eventually I got sober before the drinking killed me. I opened up to my family about what happened, got therapy, got medicated. I even found kink communities I can enjoy myself at from time to time.
But in spite of all this positive progress, I still feel trapped. Destined to a life where the best I can hope for is being kinda okay most days.
Be comfortable being a deviant and damaged goods. And most of the time that's okay with me.
Now I'm not so sure. A dear member of my family nearly died and will be in the ICU for months in total before and after receiving a heart transplant. During the transplant she had a stroke and can now barely speak. It's killing my father taking care of her but he's too stoic to be vulnerable.
Then last week I got a massive amount of dental work done, 13 teeth pulled and 2 bridges. Less than a week later my backpack was stolen with the bridges inside. $3000 worth of dental work gone in an instant and it feels insignificant compared with everything else in my life.
Everything is fucked up and the world's on fire, and at times like this, all I can think of is the last time everything was fucked up and my world was on fire. I feel like I'm hanging on by my fingernails and I just want to let go. Grab a handle of vodka and jump in front of a train.
But I have a family that loves me in spite of all these scars, inside and out. I have nieces and nephews I want to watch grow up and have a normal happy life. One where there's not a monster of self destruction lurking deep inside. People I can guide away from my own mistakes, protect from the monsters that left me black inside.
But it's so hard right now. I never thought I'd say this, but I want to go back to just being depressed. Feeling nothing but emptiness is so much better than this.
So for now I just try to keep moving, day by day, hoping it gets better. I wish I was doing it for myself, but it's for all the others in my life. My mom, my father, my stepfather, all the kids in my life who I can be a positive influence on. I genuinely don't care about my own life, but I care about hurting them. But I just don't know how long that will be enough to keep me going.
Anyway, if you've read this far, thank you and I'm sorry. I'm not looking for advice. I just needed to put all this shit into words. Something about doing so helps.
To end this, all I can say is hold onto the ones you love. Sometimes they're the only ones keeping you from falling into that void. You matter to them, even when you don't matter to yourself.
That's all, Im off, I need a cigarette.

2023.06.10 23:23 LIS1050010 An A-Z of incredible uses for everyday things
Did you know you can kill weeds with vodka? Remove stains on clothes with aspirin? Make jewellery gleam with tomato ketchup? Here are 40 surprising tips to save you time and money
and for ... aluminium cans To create a simple Chinese lantern, mark two lines around a clean empty can, about 2.5cm from the top and bottom. With a sharp craft knife, make vertical cuts about 1.5cm apart between the lines. Make a cut across the bottom of two adjacent strips to make an opening for a candle. Gently press down on the can to make the strips bend in the middle. Insert a tea-light through the opening, then tuck the cut ends of the opening strips inside the can. Finally attach a hanging loop. You can spray-paint the can before cutting it if you like.
and for ... apples If you've been heavy-handed with the salt shaker when cooking a soup or stew, simply drop a few apple (or potato) wedges into the pan. After cooking for another 10 minutes or so, remove the wedges, which will have absorbed the excess salt.
and for ... aspirin Before giving up hope of removing a stubborn perspiration stain from a shirt, try this. Crush two aspirins and mix the powder in 100ml warm water. Soak the stained part of the garment in the solution for two to three hours.
B is for ... bread You can remove most dirty or greasy fingerprints from painted walls by rubbing the area with a slice of white bread. Bread does a good job of cleaning nonwashable wallpaper as well. First cut off the crusts to minimise the chance of scratching the paper.
and for ... baby oil Buff up a dull-looking stainless steel sink by rubbing it down with a few drops of baby oil on a soft clean cloth. Rub dry with a towel and repeat if necessary. This is also a terrific way to remove stains on the chrome trim of kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures.
and for ... bicarbonate of soda Even the smelliest shoe or trainer is no match for the power of bicarbonate of soda. Liberally sprinkle powder in the offending loafer or laceup and let it sit overnight. Discard the powder in the morning. (Be careful with leather shoes as repeated applications can dry them out.)
C is for ... crayons Crayons make an excellent filler for small gouges or holes in resilient flooring. Select a colour that closely matches the floor. Melt the crayon in the microwave on medium power over a piece of greaseproof paper, until you have a pliant glob of colour. With a plastic or putty knife, fill the hole. You can use a softened crayon to cover even quite deep scratches on wooden furniture.
and for ... carpet remnants Place a series of carpet offcuts upside down and cover them with bark mulch or straw for a weed-free garden path. Use smaller scraps as mulch around your vegetable garden.
and for ... coffee grounds They're full of nutrients that acid-loving plants crave. Save them to fertilise rose bushes, azaleas, rhododendrons, evergreens and camellias. It's better to use grounds from a drip coffeemaker than the boiled grounds from a percolator as the drip grounds are richer in nitrogen.
and for ... compact discs Use them as garden/driveway reflectors. Drill small holes into a CD and screw it ito a gatepost or stake. Install several of them to mark out a night-time path to your front door.
and for ... correction fluid Dab small nicks on household appliances with correction fluid. Once it dries, cover your repair with clear nail polish for protection.
D is for ... dental floss Secure a button permanently with dental floss - it's much stronger than thread. Make hardwearing repairs to outdoor items. Because dental floss is resilient but fine, it is an ideal replacement for thread when you are repairing an umbrella, tent or rucksack.
E is for ... emery board If a favourite pair of suede shoes have become stained and tired, an emery board can revive them. Rub the stain lightly with the emery board, and then hold the shoe over the steam from a kettle to remove the stain. This technique will work for suede clothing too.
F is for ... fabric softener End clinging dust on the TV. To eliminate the static that attracts dust, dampen a duster with a little fabric softener straight from the bottle.
and for ... freezers Place candles in the freezer for at least two hours before burning. They will last longer.
G is for ... golfing equipment If a screw won't grip because its hole has become too large, dip the tip of a golf tee in wood glue and tap the tee into the hole. Cut the tee flush with a craft knife. When the glue dries, you can drill a new pilot hole in the same spot.
H is for ... hairspray To keep a child's priceless work of art at its very best before you put it on the pinboard or fridge door, preserve it with hairspray to help it last longer. This works especially well on unstable chalk or pastel pictures as it stops them from getting smudged so easily.
I is for ... ice cube trays Here's what to do with a half-drunk bottle of red or white wine. Freeze the wine into cubes that can be used later in pasta sauces, casseroles or stews.
and for ... ice cubes If you're putting sealant around the bath, run an ice cube over it to get a nice even bead - it will never stick.
J is for ... jars If you've taken a break from gardening, help your gloves dry out by pulling each one over the bottom of an empty jar. Stand the jar upside down on a radiator or hot-air vent. Warm air will fill the jar and dry damp clothing in an instant.
K is for ... ketchup Keeps silver jewellery sparkling. Soak it in a small bowl of ketchup for a few minutes. If it has a tooled or detailed surface, use an old toothbrush to work ketchup into the crevices. To avoid damaging the silver, don't leave the ketchup on longer than necessary. Rinse and dry.
L is for ... lemons Get rid of tough stains on marble. Cut a lemon in half, dip the exposed flesh in some table salt and rub it vigorously on the stain. You will be amazed how well it works.
and for ... ladders A straight ladder or front part of a stepladder makes a shallow planter with ready-made sections that look appealing filled with annuals, herbs or salad greens. After a couple of years of contact with soil, a wooden ladder will decompose.
M is for ... milk cartons Keep drinks cold at a barbecue or party with ice blocks made from empty milk cartons. Rinse them, fill them with water and put them in the freezer. Peel away the container when you're ready to put them in the punch bowl. If you intend to use them as cooler blocks, leave the container in place.
N is for ... nail varnish Preserve the important information on labels with a coat of clear varnish. Keep a shirt in good shape by putting a drop of clear varnish on the thread in the buttons. It prevents fraying and loss of buttons.
and for ... newspaper Slow-ripen tomatoes that are still on the vine in autumn. Wrap each one in a couple of sheets of newspaper and then store them in airtight containers inside a dark cabinet or cupboard at room temperature. Check each one every three or four days; they will eventually ripen to perfection.
O is for ... olive oil Make your own furniture polish. Combine two parts olive oil with one part lemon juice or white vinegar in a clean recycled spray bottle, shake it up and squirt it on. Leave the mixture on for a minute or two, then wipe off with a clean cloth or paper towel. If you're in a hurry, apply olive oil straight from the bottle on to a paper towel. Wipe off any oil that remains with another towel.
and for ... oatmeal Add luxury to a regular bath. All you need is 200g oatmeal and your favourite scented oil. Grind the oatmeal in a blender, put it in a cheesecloth bag, add a few drops of scent and suspend the bag under the running water as you fill your bathtub.
and for ... oven cleaner To remove paint or varnish from wooden or metal furniture, try oven cleaner. It costs less than commercial strippers and is easier to apply (if you spray it). After applying, scrub off the old paint with a wire brush. Neutralise the stripped surface with vinegar, then wash it off with water. Allow to dry. Warning: never use oven cleaner on antique or expensive furnishings - it may darken wood or discolour metal.
P is for ... plastic bottles Create a drip irrigator for plants. Cut a large hole in the bottom of a bottle, then drill two to five tiny (1.5mm) holes in or around the cap. Bury the closed bottles upside down about three-quarters submerged beneath the soil near the plants you need to water, and fill with water through the hole on top. Refill as needed.
R is for ... rubber flip-flops Slip a rubber flip-flop on to your hand and rub carpets and rugs in the direction of the pile. Any pet hair will form into balls that can then be vacuumed up. This works well on upholstery, too, including car seats.
S is for ... sand Fill a large bucket with builder's sand and pour in about a litre of clean motor oil. Plunge spades, hoes, rakes and other tools into the sand a few times to clean and lubricate them. To prevent rust, you can leave the tool blades in the sand for storage.
and for ... salt Watermarks from damp glasses or bottles left on a wooden surface are unattractive. Make them disappear by mixing one teaspoon of salt with a few drops of water to form a paste. Gently rub the paste on to the ring with a soft cloth or sponge until the spot is gone. Restore the lustre with furniture polish.
T is for ... tennis balls Give yourself a relaxing and therapeutic back massage: fill a long tube-shaped sock with a few tennis balls, tie the end and stretch the massager around your back as you would a towel after a shower.
and for ... tights To find lost small objects, cut the leg off an old pair of tights, making sure the toe is intact and pull it over the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner hose. Secure with a rubber band. Turn on the vacuum and you will soon find your valuable attached to your homemade filter.
U is for ... umbrellas Make an instant trellis. Remove the fabric from an old umbrella and insert the handle into the ground to support climbing vines such as clematis. The umbrella's shape, covered with flowers, will look terrific in the garden.
V is for ... vodka For a quick and easy weedkiller, mix 30ml vodka, a few drops of washing-up liquid and 400ml water in a spray bottle. Apply at midday on a sunny day to weeds growing in direct sunlight because alcohol breaks down the waxy cuticle covering on leaves, leaving them susceptible to dehydration. It won't work in shady spots.
is for ... WD40 For fast relief from a bee or wasp sting, spray WD-40 directly on the bite. It will soothe the pain at once.
Y is for ... yoghurt Put 200ml plain active-culture yoghurt into a blender, along with a handful of moss and about 200ml water. Blend for about 30 seconds. Use a paintbrush to spread the mixture wherever you want moss to grow - between the cracks of a stone path, on the sides of flowerpots - as long as the spot is cool and shady. Keep misting the moss with water until it is established.
Z is for . . . zips Ever lost your car keys in the sand at the seaside? Stitch a small zipped pocket to one corner of the underside of your beach towel, just big enough for keys, sunglasses and maybe a few coins.
And if you're feeling really bold ... Four bizarre problem-solving suggestions
Ā· If you want to post a fragile item to a friend, wrap the item in disposable nappies before sealing the package. You can be sure your gift will arrive in one piece.
Ā· To get chewing gum out of hair, apply some peanut butter to the matted gum and hair and rub the gum until it comes out. Your child's hair may smell like peanut butter until you wash it, but it is a better solution than having to cut the gum out.
Ā· Wash lettuce in a washing machine. If you are expecting lots of people for lunch, place one pillowcase inside another. Fill the inside case with lettuce leaves. Close with string or a rubber band and throw in the washing machine. Now run the rinse and spin cycle.
Ā· Get the comfort of a salon treatment when giving yourself a home pedicure. Just place marshmallows between your toes to separate them before you apply nail polish.

2023.06.10 22:51 sphill0604 My evaluation of my pet insurance-return on investment
Hi everyone, I wanted to post this to help some people decide whether to get pet insurance or not. I recently evaluated the cost of the insurance vs what they paid. This is my experience with 2 smallish dogs. I got my pet insurance when they were 7 and now they are 14. In those years I figure the premiums I have paid for each averaged $75/mo. This insurance was cheaper in the beginning but has increased as they have aged. I got $500 deductible with 90% coverage. So the total I have paid for each dog about $6300, for the 7 yrs coverage. For Dog A, I had 12 claims totaling $6906. And the amount approved and paid for him was $976. For Dog B, I had 11 claims totaling $4946, and the amount approved and paid was $954.00 So for Dog A- $6300 insurance premiums + $6906 expenses = $13,206 total expense, with a payment rate of roughly 7% ($976.). But for the pet insurance company the profit on me is roughly 85% And for Dog B-$6300 insurance premiums + $4946 expenses= $11,246 total expense, with a payment rate of roughly 8% ($954.). And for the pet insurance company the profit on me is another 85% here
My policy does not cover preventatives, annual exams, or dental work. In addition the $500. deductible is per diagnosis, so if I go in with doggy diarrhea, the $500 must be met before anything is even eligible for coverage. A limp, $500. deductibleā¦.etc. This means you must file paperwork knowing you will not get paid, but in case it happens again. If the diarrhea is for an issue down the line, it wonāt even apply to that diagnosis., if the limp turns out to be a slight ACL tear, thatās when another diagnosis requires another $500 deductible. If like my dogs, they have several issues, the deductibles certainly add up., and you must keep track of all that to get payment when deductibles are met.
I bought the insurance, like many others, thinking if something really bad happens they will be covered. But the truth isā¦it is a false sense of security., and a VERY expensive one. You have to fight to get your invested money back. Of those claims I mentioned, I had to appeal denied claims decisions many times, sometimes I won and sometimes I did not.
I will keep these policies in place for my 2 Senior Dogs, but my next dogs, no. Instead, I will set aside the premium amount in a separate savings account, and use as needed. I know some canāt budget that way, but I can, and will. I just wanted those that are interested, to know, that this IS NOT a cheaper alternative. In fact, I understand now why so many companies are getting into the pet care insurance business.
Of course this is only my experience, some may have a different view. I just thought I would share

2023.06.10 22:37 kennynailtech What's the harm in combining nail products?
Nail technicians use the most technologically advanced products. Nail professionals work in a unique and diversified industry, and they frequently accidentally endanger themselves and their clients. They frequently work nail supply store near me with the most technologically advanced beauty products. Many nail coatings are made from high-tech materials that are used to make everything from bone cements to dental implants, contact lenses, and bulletproof glass. Nail technicians often work with finger and toe nails that have become infected or injured. When dealing with medical issues of the hands and feet, some clients want their Nail Professional to diagnose, treat, or prescribe a remedy for their illness, which is inappropriate and should be avoided. When you combine this with the fact that many Nail Professionals like to "experiment" and try new things, it's easy to see how difficulties might arise, especially when manufacturer's instructions are ignored and nail products are used in ways they weren't meant to be used. 1. What's the harm in combining nail polishes? This could cause severe issues for clients, Nail Professionals, and salons without a thorough understanding of chemistry or medicine. Here are a couple such instances. Many items are designed to be used as a "system" in very particular ways to ensure safe use and accomplish the desired end result. Monomer liquids are made to work with certain powders. Using the improper powder or the inappropriate bubble bath nail polish liquid-to-powder ratio (too moist) can cause skin irritation, allergies, or even "onycholysis," a condition in which the nail plate separates from the nail bed. When the wrong nail light is used to cure a UV gel, all of these problems can arise. Improper use of salon disinfectants can result in infections, which can lead to injury or a lawsuit, jeopardizing a Salon Professional's or salon's livelihood. 2. What's the point? When products are mixed incorrectly or utilized best gel nail polish contrary to directions/instructions, unforeseen repercussions may occur, causing harm to clients and/or Nail Professionals. Contrary to popular belief, Nail Professionals should NOT use professional goods in any way they see fit. Instead, always carefully follow the manufacturer's directions and pay attention to all cautions. If a Nail Professional disagrees with, wishes to change, or does not understand the instructions, they should consult with the product maker before proceeding. yournailsupplier 3. Experimenting with different nail products! I like the inquisitive, interested attitude of Nail Professionals who like to "experiment" with their products and recognize that it is their inventiveness and imagination that inspires them to do so! These are wonderful characteristics that, if properly channeled, may benefit anyone. However, when "experimenting" entails disobeying the manufacturer's instructions or warnings, this is inappropriate and should be avoided. Those who obtain a deeper understanding in these areas are far less likely to overuse nail products or experience any of the problems mentioned above. Avoid concentrating simply on how to apply these cosmetics skillfully; that is only half the picture! The days nail nippers when product application and removal were all that mattered are long gone. Nail professionals must grasp how their professional products function and why they do so. submitted by kennynailtech to u/kennynailtech [link] [comments]
2023.06.10 22:17 Someseed Are these a good option for Syrians?
2023.06.10 21:25 TheFakeSlimShady123 I think you people need to desperately understand what a psyop is and to realize that rather ironically our government uses the possibility of alien life as a distraction from real issues.
Now I love this sub I absolutely do.
But you people can definitely be fooled easily.
My stance is that I believe the government certainly knows more than they let on and there is some cover up but it's not as far reaching as you may expect. I mean with how much Edward Snowden level shit is being leaked seemingly monthly now yet no matter what the alien documents showing President Nixon secretly met with greys in the Oval Office of the White House don't appear in any leaks at all? It's because it never happened.
I love the idea of alien life and I'm fascinated by the future. But realistically in the world today what matters more? The discovery of alien life or the freedom of the Palestinian people?
Chances are if you believe the former is more important you're either a horrible person or wildly out of touch.
But the key part is our government has already decided that the latter is more important to us and so is trying to stop it. If our governments were afraid of aliens we'd know. They truthfully probably don't care even if they know the truth. But what they are afraid of is the people who they've made it clear they oppose.
Which brings me to the main topic: aliens are currently just being used as a means of covering up other far worse stuff. For us aliens are a distracting jangling key chain put in front of our face like a baby while the government attempts to hide truly heinous acts.
Thank back: remember how a couple months ago after the Chinese balloon incident UFOs were supposedly invading the US and Canada with multiple sightings and being attacked by fighter jets. Did anything noteworthy come about with that? No. Because it was just a distraction. While aliens were supposedly invading our skies the US government was trying to cover up one of the worst environmental disasters in history withing East Palestine, Ohio.
But even more damming is at this time evidence was starting to be released showing that Ukraine was behind the Nord Stream pipeline which the Pentagon knew about along with several NATO states besides Germany buy still let it happen hoping that this would finally push Germany to support Ukraine against Russia because apparently Russia would for some reason blow up it's own pipeline.
With all this talk of police bodycams in Las Vegas currently I have to ask: will anyone be talking about this in two months? Although the bodycam is certainly damming and points to something, overall if aliens really were in LV and the police actually met them we would definitely know because the entire situation would go down like something in the 2008 movie Cloverfield. Lots of people running around going "OHMYGOD" and blurred camera footage.
If it's true the FBI really did seize the bodycams I believe it was only just to spark talk around the video even if in reality those officers and their bodycams probably saw Jack shit.

2023.06.10 21:11 Cellar_Door_789 Isolated and trapped living in my parentās house.
TW: s ideation
People can change. So when my older brother showed up at my place five years ago seemingly ready to listen to me and hear my side for the first time I was open to him. And for the last five years I grew close to him. Eventually he became the number one person I relied on.
A year and a half ago I had a health crisis, and in my delusional state thought I could forgive my parents. I was released into their care. Iām disabled, live at their place and depend on them. For the most part they are on good behavior (I think they worry about me finding away to leave and go NC again.)
During the time post hospitalization Iāve lost regular contact with my friends and am now across the world from where I use to live and canāt see them in person.
Any extended family I have will tell my parents what I said to them, so I canāt rely on them.
I thought āat least I have my brother.ā But a few months ago he started treating me the exact way he did before. Not only am I actively being hurt by him, but now Iāve lost the one person I thought I had in the world.
Iām struggling so bad Iāve been plotting to end my life. Iāve tried reaching out to crisis help hotlines, but they havenāt helped. And due many family events I had to attend this month, I havenāt seen my therapist for a month.
In a week I will be going on a family vacation where my parents, siblings, their partners and I will all coup up in a hotel penthouse. It will be close quarters, and Iāve considered backing out going, but Iām loosing my mind being stuck in my parents house all the time. I canāt drive, there is no public transport here and I have no one to socialize with. If I donāt give myself this chance to go away and go to the beach, I think I will kill myself while alone in their house, so I have to go.
But Iām so distressed that my older brother will pick a fight with me, and my whole family will turn on me like they use too.
I know I canāt completely trust the rest of my family, so I keep them at a safe distance emotionally. For this vaccination I was planning to play games with them, go in the hot tub/beach and talk but guard what I share with them. I was excited about it. I donāt want to give up on it. My plan is, and itās worked on my mother so far as well, is to act like nothing is wrong, like I am ok with him. To pretend. And if he offends me to not react. Iāll have my own room, I can ātake napsā but really give myself space if I need. Iām just worried despite my best efforts, that I will react and trigger a scene. I need someway to work on not reacting.
My life feels so broken. I sleep every night in the very room I was traumatized in growing up. I depend on care by the people who caused me to be so ill. Iām not well enough to get out on my own again. Itās all so twisted.
Iām working everyday on my recovery, but my progress is so dam slow. And to be honest, during the time I was NC I struggled, I was ill, poor and almost homeless. My parents take care of me financially and will continue. Itās in my best interest to stay in contact, because of my health I canāt make it on my own. I donāt know what my future looks like, maybe I will end my life, but otherwise I hope to eventually better my situation. For now, Iām desperate for some feedback.

Context: I have bad teeth due to depression/ADHD/injury/infection. Iāve had horrible dental experiences and have been belittled. Iāve whined about it on here and other places. Older sister has consistently said I didnāt deserve to get them fixed cause Iām lazy. She has never apologized.
Spite is a wonderful motivator.
I found a dentist that will work with me. Once I put in $500 down (none saved right now cause Iām caring for my nieces AND paying all the bills), my job will give me the days off for my appointments and this nightmare will be over.
I have not told her. And I wonāt. Because I have helped her for YEARS and I know for a fact she will not do the same for me. My twin sister knows, though, and sheās going with me as support.
I deserve to get my teeth fixed. I deserve to smile. And I will smile in her face when I am done.

2023.06.10 20:30 SwissCheese4Collagen The Nosrtrils McBeardsley Power Hour:
Happy Fri-Yay, Snarkers! OfNostrils has a piping hot slice of her new life as a mother of three served up for us today on the Tube. No word on if she actually believes that she has three kids now, but in true OfNostrils fashion, the literal first thing you see of Actually Gunner this week is him in the sink-tub. He made it a whopping three weeks before getting his bath time filmed. In this bath guys, le sigh. Actually Gunner is laying against a fuzzy pillow, yawning as the kitchen sink faucet runs onto his side. He is covered by a washcloth up to the armpit, but unless this is OfNostrilsā version of How to Bathe a Newborn we really donāt need to see this. Someone needs to tell her she can actually bond with her child without filming it for the world. Anyways letās get to this weekās vlogisode. Giddy-Up is still not a fan of the name Gunner. Austina yells \"hi friends\" outside to the birds. She must be entering her Disney princess phase. We open with Actually Gunner laying on Nostrilsā lap as Giddy-Up flits around to kiss the baby. Austina yells hi friend out the window, as Giddy-Up says he calls Actually Gunner āstrangerā. OfNostrils asks Nostrils to fill us in on where Actually Gunner has to go tomorrow. Nostrils tells us they have to go to the dentist, to laser Actually Gunnerās lip tie, but OfNostrils has to remind him that itās the ālaserā at the dentist. Austina asks for a new food of some sort, itās unclear what it is and of course OfNostrils pays more attention to the baby and not the two-year-old quickly telling her she can just eat that one. Welcome to The Big Show kid, the sister mom life is wearing on her already. Giddy-Up tries to relate, OfNostrils is in update mode, not film the children incessantly mode. OfNostrils tells us that Actually Gunner is five days old, which means this is from a couple weeks ago, as Giddy-Up says heās five also. OfNostrils is quick to tell him that five years is Not the same as five days. Things are tough all over for Giddy-Up and Austina. OfNostrils simpers for the camera and tells us that itās been so great adjusting, the kids are gentle and they love him, before turning serious about the dentist and the lip tie, and probable tongue tie. I wonder why she didnāt just ask for Godās help with it? Either way the doctor actually couldnāt tell whether he had an actual tongue tie and so now they have to go to the dentist. They are excited that he gained 5 ounces in two days after losing the 5 ounces he lost in the three days after birth. I mean, if memory serves me Baby Swiss lost almost a pound and was back to her birth weight seven days old so Iām not sure why this is such a big deal. Oh, because the doctor told her that it would take two weeks but that sheās doing great nursing. She says āIām like āahā so encouragingā. I really want to know why sheās acting like this is her first baby ever. Did she not nurse the other two? Did Perm the Dairy Queen not let her know OfNostrils can tap into super lactation DNA to become a new Dairy Queen? Itās like when queen bees split a hive. Apparently though, our fledgling Dairy Queen OfNostrils suspects that the discomfort is the result of a tongue tie. The appointment will be early in the morning she will ālet us know how it goesā, I donāt know how Iām supposed to feel suspense over something that 1) I donāt really care about and 2) that has already happened and will be resolved within 10 minutes. I feel like the way she does these videos is she just films every day and then post the highlights every Friday, which is what leads to this weird half-live half-serial format where she asks us to interact with something that has already happened. A.G. is gaining despite his tongue and lip ties. Austina isn't missing a thing and gets up early to see her brother. The kids had literally rolled out of bed. I swear she woke everyone up to say bye to A.G. The next morning, Actually Gunner lays on his parentsā bed as Austina perches nearby. OfNostrils asks Austina āwho is thisā and Austina climbs up on the bed and says āGunner Jamesā which the captions turn into āelected jeansā. Nostrils stays home with the two older kids, who run out of the house and back into it in various states of undress, as OfNostrils is on her own with Actually Gunner for his early-morning dentist appointment. Weāve gotten rid of the drone and we get what I hope is dash cam footage instead of drone footage, although if snhe held the phone to the dashboard as she drove along a country road I wouldnāt be surprised either. Ofostrils sacrifices getting coffee because ādidnāt have timeā, have they ever made a right choice like this before? Skip the coffee, keep the dental appointment for the six day old? āBubbaā has a thick lip tie on the top, and a tongue tie. They go take Actually Gunner back for the procedure really quick, and it should be a 2 to 4 week healing time. He also shouldnāt have a speech impediment as he gets older and they will see how it goes. Actually Gunner does excellent during this procedure and is sleeping, while also being possessed by Nostrils McBeardsley himself. Seriously we think Austina looks like her father, this kid looks like heās gonna grow a beard worthy of a Civil War drummer in about week. Actually Gunner is able to eat well and OfNostrils is glad that the procedure worked. Sheās thankful, heās happy, sheās happy, and now she has to keep up on doing what the doctor told him to do. I hope for Actually Gunnerās sake sheās much better about this than she was about those iron pills she was supposed to be taking for the majority of her pregnancy. I guess her coffee maker is broken? At least it's a quick fix for the kid's sake. He's sleeping and OfNostrils is happy āSeveralā days later, she is at the two week mark. I donāt know if she canāt subtract 5 from 14, or if she didnāt even try to figure it out. In however many days it is Giddy-Up has become of building builder, by stacking his blocks. Oh, and OfNostrils took the last week off for our sakes, so we could catch up on her ābirth videosā that she stretched out and padded with old footage āand what his name isā. Pfft. Like she hadnāt been telling us everything the entirety of the time on different platforms. She goes on to say that she liked taking the break which, we all know she didnāt really take a break from vlogging, she just posted a day later one week. She was still sticking the camera in the kidsā faces, all three of them. She posted on two Fridays out of three, so she was editing and filming the entire time. Also, Nostrils has been super busy at work so OfNostrils has already had all three kids home all day by herself. She repeats adjusting has gone super well, due to her easy recovery and also due to Actually Gunnerās calmness. Nostrils holds Actually Gunner as OfNostrils films. She asks him who he thinks Actually Gunner looks like, and Nostrils says that Actually Gunner looks a little bit like Giddy-Up but ultimately that heās really got his own look. No he doesnāt, he looks exactly like Nostrils McBeardsley. Both parents estimate Actually Gunner is roughly 10 pounds. Boy, Iām surprised they donāt actually just get out the fish scale and put it on the back of the onesie to check. Nostrils The Next Generation hop around as Actually Gunner lays on pillows on the couch. OfNostrils has 2 U pillows put together and a coffee table pushed next to the couch. She can afford a Doona but not a bassinet for the living room? OfNostrils asks Giddy-Up and Austina if they want to set up the pool outside. Giddy-Up wants to add soap, OfNostrils bursts his bubble and says no. Giddy-Up has lost a couple more teeth, and runs off as OfNostrils calls herself āmomā when she says sheās going to help them set up both pools. May 31 for anyone keeping track of the timeline in this vlogisode \"How has the transition been\" she asks. How many times is she going to ask them this? Giddy-Up is taking no chances No privacy for the soon-to-be-napping Giddy-Up puts on a full-size innertube to go down a plastic childās slide into a pool maybe 6 inches deep. Both pools are wading pools, and OfNostrils warns Austina to not put dirt in the pool. Austina wasnāt planning on it, she was putting it into a skillet and making mud pie thank you very much. Now we cut to nap time, and Austina asks for a stuffed animal. Once she them settled, they sharply cut to āa few days laterā OfNostrils asks Actually Gunner if he wants a bath? She proceeds to turn the water on to give Actually Gunner a bath, and he yawns through it so I guess heās okay with it. Next up is a clumsy cut to Austina and Giddy-Up in the back seat dancing in their car seats. Donāt show Perm and Spermā¦or Jana. OfNostrils films from the front seat as they take the kids to the park. The trip to the park is long enough that Actually Gunner needs to be fed while Nostrils stops to ārun inside and pick upā a truck part. The truck part gets driven past on a forklift so Iām not sure if theyāre going to haul it somewhere else before the park or just take it with them everywhere. It looks like a bumper for what itās worth. These waterfall showerheads are getting ridiculous, also Car Seat Dance Party I couldn't get a clear shot of it, but when Nostrils put Austina down he kind of flung her into Giddy-Up at the end of the slide Nostrils forgot the mic was hot. At least I hope so, otherwise he's gotten too comfy on camera. Once they are at the park, Actually Gunner hangs out in the stroller while Giddy-Up and Austina run around. OfNostrils follows Giddy-Up into a boat type tunnel thing, as Austina runs behind her. Nostrils squeaks down the slide with Austina on his lap and Giddy-Up next to him, then tells Giddy-Up āno, we arenātā when Giddy-Up wants to go in a boat. Cut to Austina in a toddler swing and Giddy-Up in what I think is a swing for kids with physical disabilities. Anyways, Austina is chattering away and says āitās nice to be hereā. Next up is a big double slide, that splits and Giddy-Up slides down to cheers from his mother. Austina is also all the way up at the top but OfNostrils tells Nostrils that āsheās trying to walk upā, either way no one went up to help the 2 year old onto the slide. The stepping rocks up to the slide are almost as big as she is, so maybe their next angle is Austina the Explorer and she teaches Bible verses instead of Spanish vocabulary words when she gets to the top of the slide. Yaāll saw it here first, but so help me if they actually do something like that. Austina finally appears to slide down, and is pulling herself by the sides of the slide. OfNostrils tells her to āpick your legs up, put them up in the skyā, when ālean back a bitā is a much easier way to convey that message. Nostrils tells the world that that slide gave him the ultimate wedgie. That wasnāt the slide that did that pal, thatās your karma for naming the baby Gunner fucking James. Nostrils tells Austina that she is good at climbing. She already knows this and the next shot shows her skittering out of the slide at top speed before running over to the stroller for some hugs after her zippy trip down the metal. She sticks her lower lip out as Nostrils takes his turn shoving the camera in her face, who says this isnāt an equal marriage? Nostrils asks if it was scary and Austina clearly tells him no, but that she laid on her back. Her shirt probably rode up some and she got a bit of a friction scrape. We zoom in on Actually Gunnerās sleeping self as Giddy-Up asks to go to another Slide Park one day because he liked it. Next is a cut to the car where Nostrils holds Actually Gunner up to the AC vents because itās hot. Actually Gunner is just along for the ride as his peach fuzz blows in the frosty air. OfNostrils asks Giddy-Up what his favorite slide was and he stutters through a couple as he tries to remember all of them. Austina drinks her water and looks out the window as OfNostrils swings the camera back to the front to show of her iced iced baby, who is probably cooled off enough to go back into the car seat and go home. She wasn't scared of the slide, she said so. Random shot of sleeping two week old, 5 year old asks to go find all the slide parks. unedited because his face says he's not loving it Austina declined to comment, not that she was asked. Thatās all from the McBeardsleyās this week, and I am pushing The !s tomorrow (Saturday night). Kath!s Kometitive Nature must win above all, but she missed the Fri-Yay cut-off time. Better luck next week, Kath! As for the rest of you lovely folks, Iāll catch yāall later! submitted by SwissCheese4Collagen to SnarkyRecapsBySwiss [link] [comments]
2023.06.10 20:23 CoolbreezeFromSteam Filling replaced, new one has no point of contact between teeth until just before the gums. Do they have to redo the whole filling??
I think the dental assistant who did my filling is incompetent, because she either didn't care or didn't see a problem with floss not being able to actually get to the gums, so I went back in and she drilled a little off each side until it fit, but the floss basically drops into the space between the teeth and only stops at a point right before the gums. When I get it past that, there's no room to move the floss, and there's greater resistance to me pulling it back out.
Also, I felt like I noticed when I pressed into the space before, it felt like something was getting pushed into my gums that wasn't the floss. Could some of the adhesive or filling material have not hardened all the way and be mobile?
Please tell me this is just something that can be fixed without redoing the entire filling again, because they told me the new filling is now close to the root. I'm not even sure how good my new dentist is, because I think he hit a nerve or the muscle in my cheek and it was very uncomfortable the rest of the day, and sore up to today, although it's been 3 days now.
One more thing: my new dentist said shadows on the xray, decay, sometimes doesn't advance if dental hygiene is properly done, and he even referenced himself saying he has spots on his x-ray that haven't moved in years. I believe he has over 10 years of experience and only wants to redo 3 of my old fillings, but another dentist that left their practice, who is relatively new to dentistry, wanted to do 8-9 fillings/replacements. This stood out to me, as I considered why the more practiced doctor was more conservative and minimal while the newer one was more liberal. This is a a community health center and not a private practice.

2023.06.10 19:34 Shaywave08 How do I get my dog to stop barking at me?
He's a 17mo old standard poodle. I've had him just shy of two weeks. He was rehomed to us by a friend of my kid. So my kid knows this dog and already had a bond with him. (He was loved and well taken care of in his piror home).
A few examples:
I'm on the phone and my kid is watching TV. Dog comes up to me and sits next to me and starts barking at me. Son notices and calls dog to him and dog keeps barking at me. My kid grabs a ball and calls for dog, dog continues barking at me. My kid throws the ball across the room and says dogs name and finally he stops barking at me and engages in playtime with my kid.
This morning I drive to the park (about 5 minutes) and I take dog for a 40 minute walk. Back in car for 5 minute ride back home. Once back home I throw the ball around with him when he lets me grab it, he loves to grab it first most of the time, so i grab it when i can and we continue this for about 10 minutes. Then I decide to drink my coffee and watch the news. I grab his yak stick (he has shown on and off interest in this) and hand it to him. He takes it, puts it down and walks over to me, sits right next to me, stares in my face, and barks. So I think, oh I haven't filled his food bowl. I go and do that and then I'm standing at the fridge getting water to pour into his water bowl and he comes up to me and starts barking at me. I ignore and pour his water. I go sit back down and he's right there barking at me. I go and get one of his frozen treat toys (similar to the kong but shaped different). It's filled with PB, greek yogurt, and pumpkin. He takes it and goes to work on it for about 20 minutes and then he's right back next to me barking. I try petting him and talking to him, rubbing him down, telling him he's a good boy, etc. When I do this he will scoot back to where I can't reach him and continue to bark. After that he will get close to me again while barking and put his paw on my lap. So I get up, walk into the kitchen and start unloading my dishwasher. He wanders off for a minute, and then lays down by front door. I finish the dishwasher and then go back to sit down in living room and he follows me and starts barking at me. He brings me his stuffed squeaky toy. We play tug of war with it for a bit and then I throw it, he retrieves it a few times and then the last time i throw it he just looks at it, then looks at me and starts barking at me again. I think maybe he wants to go out back so I open the door, he wonders around the deck for a few seconds and then comes back in. Barks at me again. I get up and give him his dental chewy. He takes it and works on that for about 15 minutes. He comes up to me after and barks at me. I get up and start moving around, doing busy work so he goes and lays next to the door and starts napping. Continues to nap for about an hour until my kid comes down and he jumps up out of his sleep. This whole process of him barking at me and me trying to drink my coffee and watch the news was about 1.5 hours. I know poodles need a lot of enrichment and exercise, but it seems like if he's not actively engaging in some activity he's barking at me. Don't dogs ever just chill and hang out? He's a great dog and we all love him, but his barking at me is starting to stress me out.
On school mornings I get up in the monring and I give him lots of hellos, petting, talking to him, etc. We go out back immediately so he can potty. Sometimes I have to use the bathroom real quick before I take him out back, he sits at the bathroom door and barks at me. We go out back and I'll throw the ball around to him, he'll go potty. This is usually 20 minutes. Often he'll come up to me and bark, which I guess means he wants to come back in. So we do. Then he will follow me to my kids room to wake him up for school. As I'm waking my kid, dog is looking at me and barking. We come back downstairs. I have about 20 minutes before my kid is ready to leave for school. I always take dog with me for the car ride and then we immediately take a walk before we come back in the house. I sit down at my computer and the dog is immediately barking at me. I try petting him and talking to him, he backs up so i cant reach him and continues barking at me. I try to ignore, he keeps barking. I get up and move around and he follows me around. I try to sit again to check some emails and he's back barking at me and putting his paw on me. So the entire 20 minutes before we leave to take kid to school he's barking at me and I'm trying to distrat him somehow. This is not what I imagined life with a dog to be like.
It's not a deep scary bark but it's high-pitched. And his eyes are very human like and he just stares at me and barks and sometimes does a low growl (not the scary sounding growl when he sees someone outside). But still, it's unnerving and stressing me out to have my dog barking at me every day. My kids are great at taking him outside and playing with him, taking him for car rides, etc. He's in and out of the house several times a day (we have a fenced in backyard). But he still barks at me if he's not sleeping or doing somehing with someone. I'm a first time dog owner so I'm really not sure how to handle this. He'll ignore everyone else in the household and come and bark at me. He also follows me around like a shadow. Every move I make he is right by my side. I don't mind that, but I'd really like to nip this barking at me thing. Has anyone btdt? What has worked for you?
He has toys, balls, stuffed animals, tug of war toys, puzzle feeder (that he can do in minutes), a snuffle mat, kong, etc. This morning I gave him his yak stick (which he did not chew on), his frozen treat, and his dental chew, all before 11am, just to get him to stop barking at me.
Please, someone help!

2023.06.10 19:03 NWO333 Stains on molars - could this be a cavity?
Hello, I would like to ask about these stained grooves/cavities? My dentist and dental hygienist said they are not cavities, but it sometimes is sensitive to cold/sugar, and I do not want to risk anything...I already have 2 of my upper molars filled, and one lower molar (near pulp, I was warned that it might need a root canal in the future...). The thing is, it started the same. I went for regular check up, nothing, 6 months later, oh you got a big ass cavity :D Might need a root canal later...xD Well, I want to avoid this if I can, as I am 21yo, non-smoker, otherwise healthy person, and I would like to mantain my teeth till my death... I would be ok with the dentist drilling it preventatively, I don“t believe these claims that composite filling last 5-7 years. I have 2 composite fillings on my upper molar and premolar, that was done approx 9 years ago, and according to my dentist, it still looks as new, not a single problem. Assuming the fact that my dental care kind of sucked, and it still lasted, honestly, I don“t really care if I have to pay for filling replacements at my 40s... I just want to avoid root cannals... What is your opinion? Are these cavities or am I just a really paranoid fool? Do you think it“s a good idea to have them filled, just to be certain? I have read stories where dentist said that these are just some developemental grooves, all good, and then the molar crumbled...Thanks in advance:) https://preview.redd.it/4fppwhmd285b1.jpg?width=1017&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba054e2f4926d92a0d51609987fe1c1ec374728b https://preview.redd.it/et5fcu3e285b1.jpg?width=1879&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c75b2cc67b8f0b770a9900da71c06939a09fd8b2 submitted by NWO333 to askdentists [link] [comments]
2023.06.10 18:38 SPONSORE dental veneers
If you've ever wondered if there was a way to make it easier on yourself to take care of your mouth, then you need to keep reading. There are many tips and tricks available, from selecting the right toothpaste to choosing the right dentist. Keep reading to find out more about making your job easier.
ŲŖŲØŁŁŲ¶ Ų§ŁŲ§Ų³ŁŲ§Ł Flossing is just as important as brushing your teeth. If you do not floss after every meal, bacteria will build up between your teeth and damage them. Take a few minutes to floss after you eat, and you will notice a difference. Your teeth will look whiter after a few months of flossing on a regular basis.
ŲŖŲ±ŁŁŲØŲ§ŲŖ Ų§ŁŲ²Ų±ŁŁŁ If you are having a hard time brushing your teeth efficiently, you should consider getting an electric toothbrush. These devices are very efficient and will allow you to clean your teeth thoroughly without having to brush vigorously. This is your best option if you have arthritis or if your children do not brush their teeth properly.
https://www.dr-fadi.com/ To help whiten your teeth brush using baking soda. Baking soda is known for its disinfecting and cleaning properties. To use simply sprinkle a small amount of baking soda in your hand and dip your wet toothbrush into the baking soda. Then, gentle brush your teeth for at least two minutes.
You can efficiently prevent tooth decay by using a mouth wash that contains fluoride. You should check the labels of the products you buy and look for fluoride. Do not take a fluoride supplement if you decide to use some mouth wash or toothpaste that is already enriched in fluoride.
If
dental veneers are only going to brush twice a day, do it when you are first getting up and when you finally go to bed. Early morning brushing gets rid of morning breath and deals with anything that settled in during your sleep. Brushing at bedtime helps your plaque-fighting saliva out, since it is going to dry up overnight.
It's important to brush your teeth at least twice a day. The first time should be after breakfast to get rid of all the gunk on your teeth from your meal and from sleeping overnight. The second time is before bed, ensuring that you clean off dinner detritus and daily build-up.
Considering getting your tongue pierced? Think over this again. Mouth piercings are breeding grounds for bacteria, and no amount of dental hygiene can completely negate this fact. Additionally, an oral piercing can wear down tooth enamel, leaving the area vulnerable to infection. If you don't get this checked out, getting rid of parts of your tongue may be your only option. This should make you think twice.
To keep your teeth healthy and free of cavities you should avoid drinking flavored fruit juices. Fruit juices contain tons of cavity-causing sugars. In fact, although fruit juices sound as if they are good for you, in reality, they have just as much sugar as soda pop. Drink water instead.
Nutrition is important to dental health. To help ensure that you are getting the necessary nutrients eat a well-balanced diet based on the USDA's food pyramid. Your diet should consist of low-fat dairy products. This will help ensure that you are getting the necessary amounts of calcium. Calcium is one of the primary building blocks of healthy teeth.
Brush your tongue. Your tongue needs attention just like your teeth and gums do. Use your toothbrush and brush your tongue just like you brush your teeth. Not only is this good for your dental health, but it can help with any bad breath you may be experiencing, too.
If you suspect something is wrong with your teeth, take care of it immediately. Dental problems can be major ones. Some can even be life threatening. Be sure to take your dental health seriously. Don't avoid the dentist. If something is clearly wrong, make an appointment as soon as you are able.
Now that you've read this article, you're more equipped to handle decision making when it comes to the cleanliness of your mouth. You can make your dentist's job much easier and your life much better by taking a few more steps to make sure that your mouth is well taken care of from now on. You can do it!

2023.06.10 18:20 Big_idea_005 Monroe County John & Jane Doe (1975)
This is a case I'd come across on NamUs a while back before it was added to Doe Network in April last year and it hasn't gotten a lot of attention.
On March 15, 1975, the badly beaten and dismembered bodies of a man and a woman were found in the bushes 400 feet from Loop Road, officially County Road 94, 5 miles south of the Tamiami Trail in the Big Cypress Swamp of Monroe County, Florida. Both had been fatally beaten with a blunt object, cut in half, placed into 4 green garbage bags, and then the garbage bags were put into 4 unmarked canvas duffel bags. Their hands were missing, likely to prevent fingerprinting. The man was bound with a cord, and the woman was handcuffed (they were cheap Japanese-made handcuffs), both then being murdered "execution style". Both had been dead for 4 weeks by the time of discovery.
The man was white, 40-50 years old, 5'10" (estimated), 145-150 lbs. (145 lbs. estimated per NamUs), with reddish brown hair and possibly a beard. His eye color could not be determined. The woman was also white, 30-40 years old, 5'4" (estimated), 120-130 lbs. (125 lbs. estimated per NamUs), with light brown or blond hair. Her eye color was also undetermined. Neither had any distinguishing marks or features; the man was edentulous with healed-over gums, and the woman's teeth showed a lack of care in later years although she had extensive dental work done prior.
The man was wearing a white "Catalina" size M knit shirt and size 32 khaki or green L.L. Bean shorts with another label (store label per Doe Network) "Yodel Britches". The woman was wearing a white "Dunofold, Inc." v-neck athletic shirt with a red, white, and blue ribbed collar, a small black and gold eagle embossed on the left front, and a store label for Stan Smith in Mohawk, NY, size medium baggy white muslin calf-length pants, and red knee-high socks. Neither had any underwear or shoes.
The status of their DNA is unknown, and their fingerprints are not available due to their hands having been removed.
Investigators believe the couple were originally from the Northeast based on their clothes and possibly hippies due to their lack of underwear. The clothes definitely seem definitely northeastern to me but the lack of underwear alone doesn't point me towards them having been hippies.
As with many cases found in the Everglades and Big Cypress, there's a good chance they were killed in the urban areas along the East Coast (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, etc.) and then driven inland to hide their bodies although the West Coast (Naples, Fort Myers, etc.) shouldn't be ruled out either. (This isn't explicitly stated anywhere I've seen, but based on similar cases this is likely what I think happened.) Loop Road itself goes through the southern end of Big Cypress National Preserve and, to my understanding, doesn't see a lot of traffic apart from park visitors and hikers going to the Florida Trail, the southern end of which is directly on the road. Loop Road is also unpaved and some areas can get difficult to drive through with weather.
There are no exclusions for the man, but 2 for the woman:
Pamela Nater (1966) and
Brenda Lefler (1974).
Any ideas or theories on who they were, why they were killed, or who could've done it? Leave a comment if so.

A DEFECT IN NEUROLOGY, NOT A DEFECT OF HUMANITY ADHD: A National Crisis
2023
To Larrakia Country I write to you from the lands and home of Larrakia, in the Northern Territory, which I am grateful to call my home too. Their elders, leaders and children are the owners and protectors of this land and its stories and songs. I am grateful for their hospitality and grace, considering the intolerance and violence that they continue to endure. I dedicate my work and myself to support their stewardship, in whatever role I am asked.
To my sons You are incredible people already. This is one of the biggest things I think I will ever do to make the world you are growing up in a better place than the one I was born into. We have already endured so much together, yet you go from strength to strength. The Blue Witchās days are numbered.
To E, A, J, M, Ki, N, P, B, Ke, and all the Spirited Children Some might think I paint a bleak picture in this document. You all know this isnāt even the half of it. You deserve the life you want to lead, anything less is a failure, and should be unacceptable to all.
To Dad, Star, Cat, Moh. It is a comfort to know you are somewhere better, when we are left here.
A DEFECT IN NEUROLOGY, NOT A DEFECT IN HUMANITY ADHD: A National Crisis
Abstract ADHD is the biggest and easiest dealt with human challenge of our time. It is a debilitating impairment, that is lifelong and brings no inherent benefits or superpowers. It has likely been a part of hominid neurology for 300,000 years, and in that time it has been systematically rejected by genetic evolution as an enormous set of risks to the survival of the human race. It brings earlier death, more disease, isolation, hopelessness. Making the people who live with it even more remarkable. I have seen neglect, abuse, cruelty and ignorance that would make Dickens blanch. ADHD is routinely rejected, shunned and left in-addressed by Psychiatrists, Paediatricians, Nurses, Teachers, Judges, Police, leaving families in ruins, good and vibrant people be turned to husks, and children as young as 7 turn to suicide.
Not understanding it, not treating it costs our economy $20.5baud a year, if not more.
The need for a national effort to tackle the challenges is paramount to the future success of all Australians.
Self and Evidenced Truths.
- People with ADHD deserve recognition as living beings with rights, dignity, and aspirations despite our impairments.
- Fundamental to those rights, dignity and aspirations being observed we deserve guaranteed access to our medications, support, workplace arrangements and other accommodations across our lifespan.
- ADHD is a current and emerging Australian national crisis that demands immediate response in kind.
- ADHD is a chronic neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorder that impairs many aspects of living, at all points of the lifespan (Faraone et al., 2015).
- People diagnosed with ADHD face higher risks of other neurodevelopmental disorders, of suffering child abuse, experience school exclusions and engagement, discrimination, financial predation, other mental health problems, physical disorders, substance use, accidental injuries, chronic health problems and premature death, including suicide attempts and completions. Children are twice as likely to die by age 10, adults are 5 times more likely to be dead by age 25 (Barkley et al., 2022).
- Stimulant medications should be used as soon as possible and practicable following a diagnosis. Several Stimulant medications are safe and effective for treating ADHD and for preventing many adverse outcomes. Non-Stimulant and Non-medication treatments are less effective. (StorebĆø et al., 2015).
- ADHD costs Australia $20.4 billion per year in lost productivity, wellbeing, and public services (Deloitte Access Economics, 2019).
- There is a need for more awareness, education, and training explaining what ADHD is, as many people with ADHD remain undiagnosed and untreated due to ignorance, bias, or incompetence (Faraone et al., 2019).
- Australiaās attitude towards ADHD costly, uncoordinated, and unfair. This harms people with ADHD in multiple ways, such as limiting their ability to manage their symptoms, increasing their financial burden, and reducing their social support (Australian Clinical Practice Guidelines for ADHD Working Group, 2022).
As a Matter of Urgency
- The Commonwealth Government must fund a co-designed national awareness campaign for ADHD, highlighting its medical nature, the importance of early and persistent intervention and its impacts across the lifespan, and all aspects of modern life as a matter of priority. a. With particular focus on key peak bodies; Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency and its members, the Australian Council of Unions and its Members, Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority Curriculum, Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Australian Finance Industry Association, Law Council of Australia, Police Federation of Australia, Universities Australia, and Australian Council for Private Education and Training.
- The Commonwealth Government must expand the professions that can screen, assess and diagnose ADHD to include Teachers, General Practitioners, Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, Midwives and Remote Area Nurses, as well as expand telehealth options for remote areas.
- The Commonwealth Government must establish a national framework for ADHD assessment and support that clarifies roles and responsibilities of different agencies and ensures seamless transitions across life stages and reduce costs for government.
- The Commonwealth Government should mandate that bachelors, postgraduate degrees, and Community Service certificates and diplomas in health sciences, enrolled and registered nursing, education, community health, criminal and industrial law and allied health fields include compulsory modules in ADHD, co-designed with people with ADHD.
- The Commonwealth Government must delist methylphenidate, amphetamines, and their various formulations as Schedule 8 drugs and relist them as Schedule 4, they must also expand Medicare and PBS coverage for ADHD medication to include all people with a diagnosis of ADHD. This would reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with ADHD medication use as well as simplify the prescription and dispensing process for people with ADHD and their prescribers.
- The Commonwealth Government must fund presentation sensitive research on ADHD and its comorbidities, as well as presentation responsive training for anyone who cares for, educates, works with, or employs people with ADHD.
- The Commonwealth Government must direct new training and mentoring programs for practitioners, staff and community and health service delivery areas, focusing on Peri-Natal Services, Daycare and Primary School staff. Rationales Personal Experience My personal experience is as a father of a child with ADHD and as a sufferer of undiagnosed ADHD myself. My professional experience with government, hospitals, mental health, drug and alcohol case management, and the elderly, has led me to being an Advocate.
I suffered countless unnecessary medical, emotional, economic hardships and injustices throughout my life because of my undiagnosed ADHD. As a child I experienced routine ridicule, shame, and punishments. I was regularly abused and excluded by teachers, both immediate and extended family, peers, and random members of the public, verbally and physically. For symptoms, colloquially and incorrectly referred to as behaviours, of my Combined Presentation of ADHD. Combined Presentation of ADHD means that I have both inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive symptoms. Symptoms are the observable signs of ADHD, such as difficulty paying attention, being easily distracted, fidgeting, talking excessively, not saying much, daydreaming, working memory issues, etc. Symptoms that informed my personality and identity, that I was targeted for, abused for.
As I grew up, contrary to popular belief that ADHD symptoms get better as people age, the effects of my undiagnosed ADHD quickly got worse. The lack of access to university due to needing to work to support myself and look after my ailing father put me in unskilled retail positions, which became administrative positions before accidentally falling into Community Services. Through those careers, the constant workplace bullying and harassment prior to my diagnosis, needing to leave positions that were constantly either short contract or put up for recruitment where my skills, knowledge and wisdom meant nothing has left me with a colourful and varied career. The experience is nice but puts me at a significant disadvantage as I get older. My undiagnosed ADHD made it possible for me to perform well in different jobs. But as I juggled time management, organisation, communication, and self-regulation I would be burnt out as I self-medicated with work, and I would become expendable. Less time in positions, less experience, less expertise, less money, less able to provide for my family, less able to take part in society.
Despite my experience with health systems and supporting disabilities, my son who is 5, is facing similar barriers already and he is aware of himself. Being unable to access practical support for his disability, medication has been rationed as though we should be grateful to be receiving any assistance at all. We are 6 months post the last review, and the practitioner we saw last, hopefully mistakenly, provided us with incorrect information. Both his school and education department in the Northern Territory refused to allow therapists into the school to do observations without onerous and impractical limitations, not least of which was opposing observations in classes which effectively means no inclusive practices. It has come to the point where, to conserve his and my own mental well-being we will have to close his plan out. This shows how the education system continues to fail to accommodate the needs of children with ADHD and violates their right to inclusive education, and not much has changed in 30 years.
The emotional and physical toll of everyday life with ADHD and past traumas makes life an ongoing struggle. My Combined Presentation ADHD, physically, is managed, but even that is tenuous. My health is up in the air, as getting regular reviews with a psychiatrist is impossible, despite the medication I am on being perfectly safe and the prognosis of my condition is unremarkable while on medication. Regular reviews with a psychiatrist are essential for monitoring my medication dosage, side effects, and effectiveness, as well as for addressing any other mental health issues that I endure. Youāll need to start another Inquiry before I talk about those though.
ADHD has meant more serious consequences, and harder to rectify situations: homelessness joblessness, discrimination, isolation. I am still standing but am never safe from them. These are some of the ways that ADHD, diagnosed and undiagnosed, has impacted my life. Due to the lack of recognition, respect, dignity that I deserve as a person, disability or not. I received my Diagnosis less than 3 years ago and already I have experienced the best stability and success I have ever had. In this 3 years I have been homeless, unemployed, suffering severe trauma and depression. All dealt with alone.
My NDIS application is now 18 months into its appeal. I wonder if it will survive longer than the AAT?
ADHD assessments and diagnosis: Children and adults with ADHD often face various gaps and barriers in accessing appropriate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for their condition. These include lack of awareness and recognition of ADHD among health professionals and the public; stigma and discrimination associated with ADHD; variability in diagnostic practices and criteria; limited availability and accessibility of specialist services; high out-of-pocket costs for diagnosis and treatment; lack of coordination and integration of care across different sectors; insufficient monitoring and evaluation of treatment outcomes; and lack of evidence-based guidelines and quality standards for ADHD care. These gaps and barriers contribute to the underdiagnoses and under treatment of ADHD in Australia and limit the potential benefits of early intervention and quality care.
ADHD management: Qualified and experienced practitioners who can assess and diagnose ADHD in children and adults are in short supply, especially in rural and remote areas. This leads to long waiting times, inflated costs, and inconsistent quality of assessments, and cascading health outcomes. People with the Inattentive presentation of ADHD, which is predominantly girls and women, face significant gender bias in ADHD assessments, support services and research. This leads to under recognition, misdiagnosis and inadequate treatment and supports of both inattentive presentation ADHD and female-specific issues related to ADHD. Different sectors and levels of government fail to coordinate and integrate their support services for people with ADHD. This creates gaps, overlaps and confusion in accessing education, health, disability, and social services. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) staff, and feeder service staff incorrectly prevent and discourage people with ADHD as a primary disability from making access requests. This flows to review mechanisms, including the Australian Administrative Tribunal. This excludes and isolates many people with ADHD from accessing not just NDIS support, but any support at all. Many people with ADHD cannot afford or access ADHD medication, especially those who are not eligible for Medicare or PBS subsidies. This limits their treatment options and affects their quality of life.
The impact of ADHD on individuals, families, and society: Children and adults with ADHD have a significantly reduced life expectancy and are more likely to die prematurely from various causes, such as accidents, suicide, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and substance abuse. The reduction in life expectancy ranges from 9 to 13 years for people with ADHD compared to those without ADHD. The risk of premature death is higher for those with more severe ADHD symptoms, comorbid disorders, and untreated ADHD. In Australia, this means that (statistically) about 1,900 deaths per year would be attributable to ADHD, but further study would be necessary to investigate. Children and adults with ADHD are more likely to suffer from various chronic physical and mental health conditions, such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, asthma, allergies, sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, substance use disorders, and antisocial behavior. These conditions can impair the quality of life and functioning of people with ADHD and increase their health care costs and utilization. In Australia, the annual health system cost of ADHD is estimated to be $546 million. Children and adults with ADHD face various economic challenges and disadvantages, such as lower educational attainment, lower income, higher unemployment, higher poverty, lower productivity, higher criminality, higher health care expenses, and higher social service costs. The annual cost of ADHD to the Australian society is estimated to be $20.4 billion, which comprises $12.8 billion in financial costs and $7.6 billion in wellbeing costs.
Awareness of ADHD: ADHD is not a result of poor parenting, low intelligence, or moral weakness. ADHD is a lifelong condition that can persist from childhood to adulthood and affect various aspects of life. The importance of recognising ADHD as a genetic, neurological medical condition, requiring medication as a first line of successful management, and not a behavioural issue, cannot be overstated. Health professionals, educators, employers and the public lack awareness and understanding of ADHD, which causes stigma, discrimination and underdiagnoses of ADHD. Research funding for ADHD in Australia is inadequate, which hampers the development of evidence-based practice guidelines, interventions, and policies for people with ADHD. This also limits the opportunities for innovation and collaboration in addressing the challenges posed by ADHD. Children with ADHD typically receive a disproportionate percentage of school based harassment, both from peers, and education staff. Routinely EAPs are formulated in opposition to recommendations made by specialist practitioners, and children are severely punished for not meeting the often odious or impossible goals. Detentions, responsibilities, suspensions, supervision and expulsions are common place. In the classroom, ignorant and unqualified teachers harass students and parents to stop behaviours they, from no basis, deem developmentally inappropriate. Time off to be with the excluded children is often supported by employers, higher education facilities, until they decide that enough is enough. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that has a strong genetic basis. ADHD is associated with structural and functional differences in the brain, especially in the regions involved in attention, executive function, emotion regulation and reward processing. ADHD is also influenced by environmental factors that can affect gene expression and brain development. The name ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is inadequate and misleading for several reasons. First, it implies that the core symptoms of the disorder are only attention deficit and hyperactivity, while ignoring the causal and key features such as impulsivity, emotional dysregulation, and executive dysfunction. Second, it suggests that attention deficit and hyperactivity are always present and equally severe in all cases of ADHD, while ignoring the heterogeneity and variability of the disorder across individuals, subtypes, and contexts. Third, it conveys a negative and stigmatising view of the disorder as a deficit or a problem, while ignoring the strengths and potential of people with ADHD.
Conclusion The writing is on the wall, whether you read it or not is irrelevant to its truth; improve the outcomes for people with ADHD and the entire nation will benefit, go on ignoring its magnitude and we will continue the cycle again, until the next generation finally addresses it. Addressing it represents net savings for the Commonwealth Government, and the states and territories. I think we could find other ways to spend $7 billion dollars than on badly managing ADHD in Australia.
I am happy to answer more questions or speak to any of the points raised herein.

2023.06.10 16:22 skooterpoop Dihada, Binder of Wills Potential Updates for Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth
Introduction
As promised,
here is a spreadsheet of all of my previous posts, as well as what cards I suggested in each. If this is your first time reading one of these posts, know that I attempt to rate them somewhere from B- to S+, leaving out any card that I didnāt feel was strong enough to earn at least that much. Also, while there are many potential ways to build Dihada, I try to rate them specifically on my own themes as explained in the original post. That being said, please leave suggestions if Iāve left anything out!
Lastly, sorry for this being such a lengthy post. In my defense, ālegendaryā was a theme in this set, so I think it was to be expected. Without further ado, here are the potential updates weāre getting, first from the main set, and followed by the commander deck additions.
Main Set
[[The Battle of Bywater]]: Was this made for us??? For only three mana we get a board wipe for powerful enemies? And then weāre rewarded for surviving it with our indestructible creatures? Definitely a board wipe we can include. S+ Rating.
[[Boromir, Warden of the Tower]]: One does not simply make a Dihada list without Boromir. Having Vigilance is always useful for a deck with a planeswalker commander, and there are definitely times where your opponents might have to worry about his first ability, but Iām looking more at his second ability. For a deck relying on board wipes to gain advantage, Boromir can help swing that advantage way harder. In fact, thatās why I love Odric, Lunarch Marshal, Agrus Kos, Eternal Soldier, and Avacynās Memorial (or Avacyn herself). Push that advantage. S Rating.
[[Dawn of a New Age]]: This card seems really cool and can net a ton of value for fairly little resources/risk. Sadly not legendary. A+ Rating.
[[Flowering of the White Tree]]: Iām not sure how this card exists, since itās a straight buff to pretty much every anthem. I guess it being legendary is supposed to be a downside but letās be real this is absurd value in a commander deck and is probably going to be a staple in most white commander decks, but especially all Dihada decks since we can grab this from -3. S Rating.
[[Frodo, Sauronās Bane]]: I largely view 1 drops as unnecessary in Dihada decks, but this is clearly an exception. Three mana for a 2/3 lifelink isnāt great, but considering that the upgrade is instant speed makes it a bit better. Letās be honest, though, this card is only being considered for the kill condition he has. This card is definitely cool in a deck that has enough ring temptation, but thatās likely not my deck and I donāt see it happening. B- Rating.
[[Gandalf the White]]: I have to admit, even as someone who isnāt a fan of LotR, I think I would find it difficult not wanting to play him if I were to obtain him. But is he good? I think so. I donāt think he really benefits from being in my deck too much, and is similar to how I felt about Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines. However, the Flash aspect is very interesting, and can change how a game plays. By using Dihadaās +2 on him, you are able to avoid enemy board wipes, since Gandalf will survive them and then you can flash out legendaries before your turn. I donāt know if thatās truly worth the slot, but he at least earns strong consideration for a sideboard, if you have one. B rating.
[[Rosie Cotton of South Lane]]: My deck doesnāt focus heavily on token creatures, but it does contain a decent amount of treasure tokens, specifically with our commander. Back in the
Phyrexia: All Will Be One post I mentioned the play Iād most prefer with Mondrak being to +2 to defender her followed by a turn five Mondrak into a -3 from Dihada. I never specified what creature Iād want to defend Dihada for this play because I didnāt think it mattered much. Suddenly Rosie Cotton enters the picture and we have a potential 12/12 indestructible Mondrak. But even without Mondrak, she works very well with our commander. S- Rating.
[[Samwise the Stouthearted]]: Not a reanimation card, but not too far off. Yes, putting a card into your hand as opposed to the battlefield is much worse and not really our focus, but I like it because itās legendary and because it says āpermanent card,ā meaning it can return most of the things we play. Thereās even a world in which we let Dihada die and use Samwise to return her to our hand as to avoid commander tax. Getting him from a -3 means the table will know about him and be weary about losing value to you, which is solid deterring. B+ Rating.
[[Tale of Tinuviel]]: This does a lot of things the deck likes, but I donāt think the card is good enough to take the slot of a better reanimation card, such as Invasion of Tolvada. Besides, the reanimation cards we really want are either legendary or can be cast from the graveyard like Unburial Rites so we can dump it with Dihada without worry. B- Rating.
[[War of the Last Alliance]]: WotC seem to have realized that theyāve printed a lot of legendary legendary-support, and while this is great for us, perhaps itās also good to print a lot of non-legendary legendary-support, and this is a prime example. TWO tutors? Iād run it even without that last chapter, but I canāt complain. The fact that you can search up both Olivia and Junji and get your reanimation loop going just by playing this card is wonderful. Or you can search for Magda so you can instead search for an artifact like Avacynās Memorial. Thereās even a world in which you search up Aurelia, the Warleader to play on the turn of that last chapter and kill two people with overwhelming damage. Despite not being legendary, this gets an easy S- rating from me.
[[Isildurās Fateful Strike]]: Legendary instants and sorceries can be difficult to cast, but probably not for a legendary-themed deck like Dihada. I like to play a few destruction effects but I usually like to have options as opposed to creatures only. That being said, you can grab this from a -3, so itās hard to complain. The hand limiting effect isnāt bad if itās done pretty early I suppose, or to counter a large hand (remember that itās an instant). My biggest problem with this card is actually the flavor. It looks like youāre limiting their āhandā to āfourā because youāre cutting off the ring finger, but the art (and movie) clearly show multiple fingers getting sliced off. Weird. Anyway, S- Rating.
[[Lobelia Sackville-Baggins]]: The best thing about playing Dihada is having access to way more cards than anyone else. This card helps this advantage by letting you play more of those cards. Save her for a rainy day and suddenly youāve got a bunch of treasure, which at the very least can be used for commander tax. Not bad. B+ Rating.
[[Nasty End]]: Again, Dihadaās -3 is usually powerful enough that this is unnecessary, so I wouldnāt put this in my own deck. That being said, there are plenty of non-legendary cards worth drawing, too, so itās nice that we arenāt forced to discard them. I would probably save this for if my own creature was about to be destroyed anyway to squeeze that extra bit of value from it. B- Rating.
[[One Ring to Rule Them All]]: Self-milling isnāt exactly a bad thing for us, but destroying all nonlegendary creatures is really why we want to play this card. That being said, there are other legendary-themed decks, not to mention that Commanders are all legendary, so I donāt like this effect over general destruction. Itās why I donāt play Urzaās Ruinous Blast, too, and at least that card is grabbable by -3. B Rating.
[[Sauron, the Necromancer]]: I am not a fan of exiling the cards Iām attempting to loop back onto the battlefield, so I canāt say I want to play this card, but I canāt ignore it either. If youāve got enough Ring temptation in the deck, then keeping the token is nice, but the risk seems unnecessary to me. B- Rating.
[[Witch-king of Angmar]]: This thingās play pattern seems sick in Dihada. The first and most obvious thing is that it has Flying, which is always welcome, and 5 power to make that keyword a serious threat. The second ability is pretty great for us, too, since it deters people from attacking us (always useful in multiplayer), and should someone actually attack you, not only does it hurt them but it benefits us by increasing our Ring temptations. Lastly, the cherry on top, it can become indestructible! Any legendary card with indestructible capabilities is sure to grab my attention since it can survive my board wipes without requiring a +2 from Dihada, but this also allows it to survive most targeted removal, which people will want to use in order to remove his deterring from the situation. And is it costly to make him indestructible? Not when you have Dihada as a planeswalker and plenty of value cards in the deck. In fact, discarding a card can sometimes benefit us with our reanimation theme. TLDR Literally everything about this card is good for us. S+ Rating.
[[Eomer, Marshal of Rohan]]: Additional combat phase potential on a solid statline card. With Sauron, the Lidless Eye, and Gandalf, White Rider, this set has a decent amount of support for aggression, especially for any Token variants. A+ Rating.
[[Gloin, Dwarf Emissary]]: I put this in a similar category as Mahadi, Emporium Master, and Gadrak, the Crown-Scourge. Theyāre three drops that can get you treasure, and this is good for us, although I would say that Gloin has much slower potential than the others. So why play him? Heās a Dwarf, and if youāre running Magda, there are definitely going to be games where Gloin gets going. And the goad ability isnāt terrible. B Rating.
[[Rising of the Day]]: As Iāve been saying, I hope to test my Haste cards soon. To reiterate, haste is a great option to follow up board wipes to keep aggression going. The fact that this both gives haste and buffs attackers makes it a pretty solid option for the Token variant. I really wish this were legendary itself, though. B Rating.
[[Spiteful Banditry]]: Not much to say about this. Red Meathook Massacre is obviously very strong, even with its advantages. For instance, the damage wonāt kill our indestructible creatures while Meathook could, and treasure has synergy with a lot of the cards in our deck. But Meathook is legendary, which probably makes it better, but why the hell am I choosing one in the first place? Sure itās a tight deck but surely it has room for both. S Rating.
[[There and Back Again]]: This is not a legendary card, and I donāt think I would call this legendary-support, either. But I look at those 14 treasures and think about all the things I could cast after a Dihada -3, or even being able to pay for more commander tax. The problem is fitting it into the deck. B- Rating.
[[The Balrog, Durinās Bane]]: A huge threat in any deck, itās a 7/5 haste that will be difficult for many decks to block, and even if they do, thatās okay. But none of this is particularly Dihada-related, so why play him? The cost reduction works with treasure tokens, my dudes. S- Rating.
[[Eowyn, Fearless Knight]]: This card hurts my brain. It has midrange stats, a control effect, and aggro potential, so it could probably be put into most decks I imagine, and ours is no exception. In most cases, hitting a commander is the best option, but there are definitely exceptions to avoid, but this in no way devalues the card. S Rating.
[[King of the Oathbreakers]]: Iām not playing many spirits so this is another card Iām not playing, but not necessarily bad in Dihada decks. There are some good legendary spirits, most importantly Agrus Kos, Eternal Soldier for the spreading of Dihadaās +2, but donāt sleep on Hofri Ghostforge as support for this kind of strategy if you choose to include it. Weirdly, he activates even if targeted by your own spells. Iāmā¦not sure how thatās relevant, but go wild. B- Rating.
[[Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff]]: With the treasure we get from Dihada and friends, casting two spells a turn even with a potentially expensive curve can be quite doable. For us, Lotho replaces one of the treasures we might be spending to do so, And donāt forget we usually have large hands from -3s so you donāt have to worry about having the resources. And if he doesnāt get any value from your opponents, thatās mostly a good thing, too. He almost feels like a worse Smothering Tithe, but that isnāt meant as an insult. A Rating.
[[Merry, Esquire of Rohan]]: Obviously he works wonderfully in an aggro deck with equipment and such, but itās the draw thatās most enticing. It wonāt be incredibly difficult to trigger it, and it might not even be difficult to keep him alive. In a multiplayer game, there will probably be someone tapped out or lacking creatures, so you can send Merry that way. But, of course, thereās always Dihadaās sweet protection, too. Iāve said that card draw isnāt needed in a Dihada deck, but it doesnāt hurt, either, especially when itās on a legendary permanent. A+ Rating.
[[Shadowfax, Lord of Horses]]: While the horse lord effect is cool, thankfully that haste ability
does apply to itself, and thatās all I really care about. There are plenty of cards in the deck that this can cheat into play, including all three Olivias (though you miss Crimson Brideās timing). For Shadrix Silverquill, missing the timing could be considered a good thing at times. And while you would miss Crimson Bride or Aurelia, the Warleaderās timings, you could +2 Dihada during the second main phase if youāre worried. A+ Rating.
[[Anduril, Flame of the West]]: Thereās so much equipment-themed legendary cards in this set that an equipment Dihada just got far more viable, but this is solid in a non-equipment themed deck, too. With board wipes being a primary strategy to make way for our indestructible creatures, an equipment that creates more flying attackers is powerful to say the least. It will likely make your average game end quicker. S Rating.
[[Horn of Gondor]]: Even without humans in the deck, this card has exponential growth build in. Itās like a Krenko, Mob Boss, except it doesnāt have the weakness of being a creature. Also, we actually do have plenty of awesome human options in the deck already. At worst, itās three mana for a chump blocker each turn. B Rating.
[[Horn of the Mark]]: With haste cards, this card becomes way more viable. Thereās a lot of card draw in this set, but this is one of my favorites. The idea of grabbing a creature from the top
five every turn sounds like a dream, and for only a two mana investment and attacking with two creatures. If you lack legendary land, then you probably wonāt benefit from this as much as other card draws, since this canāt get you land and Dihada wonāt be getting you as much land. S Rating.
[[Mithril Coat]]: We keep getting more indestructible options and Iām not complaining. Every one we add makes our board wipes a bit stronger. Donāt sleep on the fact that this is indestructible, too! There will definitely be times when we need to destroy artifacts and enchantments with Cleansing Nova, and this protects itself. Plus, most cards canāt remove it. S Rating.
[[The One Ring]]: As I keep saying, card draw often feels unnecessary, but with a lifelink commander itās hard to resist the temptation The One Ring has to offer. Perhaps itās difficult to resist the temptation even without life gain. Protection from everything until your next turn sounds unreal, and I think the best way to abuse that is to use it to kill someone. To clarify, I donāt mean that this gives your creatures protection (it doesnāt), but that you can safely all in someone without worrying about getting killed while tapped out. That sounds fantastic to me. S+ Rating.
[[Palantir of Orthanc]]: With our reanimation cards, self-milling isnāt a big deal. The longer the game goes on, the more worried we might get about milling ourselves out, but this is commander! We have a 99 card deck. I think weāre good. Also, the longer the game goes on, the more likely it is that a player wonāt want to risk losing a ton of life. S Rating.
[[Phial of Galadriel]]: I know people read this card and instantly focus on the first two abilities, but thatās not my concern. This is a legendary mana rock, and its mana value may seem less desirable than others, itās something we can grab from Dihada and absolutely worth a slot, in my opinion. I doubt the first two effects will occur much in my version, but it may help others. I dream of the day I have less than five life and can pull off a lifelink Heartless Hidetsugu trigger to gain an enormous amount of life. S- Rating.
[[Barad-dur]]: COLORED LEGENDARY LAND! And it can build an army as a mana sink! S+ Rating.
[[Great Hall of the Citadel]]: Not a legendary land but a pretty good land for us to be playing with all the legendary spells we have. S- Rating.
[[The Grey Havens]]: PSEUDO-COLORED LEGENDARY LAND, and itās uncommon!! Early in the game it may only tap for colorless, but the scry can help us to look for colored land. Plus, after a -3 or two, weāll have the colors we need. S+ Rating.
[[Minas Tirith]]: COLORED LEGENDARY LAND! And it comes with card draw! S+ Rating.
[[Mines of Moria]]: COLORED LEGENDARY LAND! And it can turn milled cards (like land) into treasures! S+ Rating.
[[Mount Doom]]: MULTICOLORED LEGENDARY LAND! I could be mistaken, but to my knowledge this is the first legendary dual land in the game. Iād have included it simply based on that. But on top of that it comes with a ping for
each opponent and even a board wipe? Pure insanity. S+ Rating.
Starter Kit
[[Gandalf, White Rider]]: Another Gandalf! This one is probably more suited for your deck. Having Vigilance is always useful for a deck with a planeswalker commander. He can help get you a bunch of power by casting the many spells youāll have access to with Dihadaās -3, youāll get to scry to make sure you hit what you want to hit, and then he doesnāt even die! And while returning fifth from the top may seem like a lot, as long as you can -3, youāll only have to wait one turn to see him again, making all of his benefits consistent. S Rating.
[[Gollum, Scheming Guide]]: Gollumās play pattern is that he doesnāt seem to die in combat. Either the opponent guesses correctly and Gollum is protected by being removed from combat, or they guess wrong and Gollum is protected by being unblockable. I suppose the downside is that you may be revealing the top card of your deck for free with no other actions. But the upside is potentially drawing a card every turn. Is it worth it? Gameplay-wise, maybe. Fun-wise, definitely. B Rating.
[[Witch-king, Bringer of Ruin]]: While nowhere near as good as the other Witch-king, there is definitely some synergy in the deck because usually players donāt have many creatures after repeated board wipes. Having this out forces players to either hold back their bigger cards for safety, or to play multiple, likely smaller, creatures. Itās a good position to be. A- Rating.
[[Fires of Mount Doom]]: Weirdly the best thing about this card, to me, is the equipment destruction. Besides that, I donāt see the two damage to a creature or the two damage to players as particularly useful, and the card advantage you can gain from it is surely less than Dihada. If you happen to have one I guess itās a good budget option, but I canāt see myself pushing a card out of the deck to make way for this. B- Rating.
[[Sauron, the Lidless Eye]]: This is not a card that I will be putting in my deck, but Iāve seen comments from people who play a Token variant of Dihada that would benefit from this card. My version of the deck doesnāt go wide with all of the board wipes I include. If you find that you often go wide, Sauron is a decent card for you. It can also be good if you use an Aristocrat version that can sacrifice the creature you controlled, but remember that you only control it for the single turn. As for my personal assessment, B- rating, but like I said his stock goes up in the right deck.
Commander Decks
[[Gwaihir, Greatest of the Eagles]]: THE EAGLES ARE COMING!! Seriously, though, this card is absolutely nuts for us. I have no idea why this isnāt six or seven mana. A 5/5 flying that can give other creatures flying and makes more fliers that also give other creatures flying seems like a lot for only five mana, and itās mostly colorless mana to boot. I suppose having to gain three life every turn is supposed to be a major weakness? But clearly itās not for us. I have no problem whatsoever +2ing this every turn. S+ Rating.
[[The Gaffer]]: So much card draw in this entire set Iām kind of sick of it. This would be a lot better with three power, since Dihada could make him trigger himself. Just to reiterate, card draw becomes more important the less legendary land you have, since -3 wonāt net you as many land and treasure is only one time use, so you need other ways of ensuring you get more land. A Rating.
[[Gollum, Obsessed Stalker]]: An interesting addition that can help you deal a ton of damage, either over time or in the right situation, due to Dihadaās lifelink. Obviously my favorite would be Heartless Hidetsugu, a combo which I believe instantly kills everyone in the majority of situations, and the only times it wouldnāt are due to Heartless Hidetsuguās ārounded downā clause. So the fact that this is a cheap creature we can play that can secure us a lot of damage over time or result in an instant kill combo makes it versatile and threatening. If youāre not playing Heartless Hidetsugu (why, tho?) or a lifelink variant of the deck, its rating would lower, but S- Rating for me.
[[Gimli of the Glittering Caves]]: This card looks really strong on paper as something that can deal a ton of damage, make a ton of treasures, even gain a ton of life with +2. That being said, I donāt play too many ways to give evasion, meaning that heāll likely be blocked on repeat. Our version of āevasionā comes from board wiping after a +2, and I donāt know if itās worth it to do that too often. That being said, the additions of Gwaihir and The Black Gate give us more evasion options! A Rating.
[[Lobelia, Defender of Bag End]]: āWithout paying its mana costā has me excited about this card. It isnāt like itās difficult for us to get artifacts to sacrifice with -3. And even once we run out of cards to cast we can use extra treasures to ping for two and gain two. And since it says āplay a cardā instead of cast, we can even trade treasure for land if thatās what we exiled, and thatās pretty cool. Plus I love having knowledge of the cards my opponents donāt have access to while they donāt. Thereās even a world in which this is removed immediately, only to be reanimated and surprise everyone with those cards, so the fun factor is on point, too. S- Rating.
[[Too Greedily, Too Deep]]: I like my reanimation decks to be playable from the graveyard in case we discard them, but I canāt say the same for board wipes since there arenāt many options that fit. So even though this is a reanimation card that doesnāt have flashback, it doubles as a board wipe and, I think, is acceptable to go in. S- Rating.
[[Wake the Dragon]]: This seems like a budget card to me, but I have a soft spot for Flashback cards since we donāt mind discarding them from the -3. B- Rating.
[[Crown of Gondor]]: Iām always a fan of introducing The Monarch into the game. As Iāve said, I love deterring effects, and while The Monarch makes people want to attack us temporarily, it quickly becomes a deterring effect. B+ Rating.
[[The Black Gate]]: LEGENDARY LAND!! And evasion is a rare addition for us!
Box Toppers
[[Morgul-Knife]]: AKA Shadowspear. We donāt include a ton of trample and this could make a big difference. Plus everything else it has to offer. S Rating.
[[Isengard, Sarumanās Fortress]]: AKA Boseiju, Who Shelters All. Being able to make your board wipes, destruction, and reanimation effects uncounterable is always cool, but coming into play tapped, only adding colorless, and needing to pay life is a serious trade off. A+ Rating.
[[The Dead Marshes]]: AKA Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth. Obviously a great card. Expensive. S+ Rating.
[[Glittering Caves of Aglarond]]: AKA Gemstone Caverns. In a multiplayer game, chances are you're not the starting player, making this likely to go off if in your starting hand. Losing a card from your hand may not feel great, but accelerating your plays is probably worth it. Not to mention Dihada is going to refill your hand. S+ Rating.
[[Osgiliath, Fallen Capital]]: AKA Kor Haven. Again, tapping for colorless is tough in a three color deck, but being able to defend against a creature every turn is cool for the turns that you -3 instead of +2.Remember that you can protect Dihada this way. S+ Rating.
[[Helmās Deep]]: AKA Shinka, the Bloodsoaked Keep. Colored legendary land and can give our creatures first strike. S+ Rating.
Conclusion
