I live in the Southern United States, where wasp season is just beginning. The wasps we have are yellowjackets, the ones that will sting without rhyme or reason and can REMEMBER HUMAN FACES. The little fuckers are everywhere, and they’re building nests wherever they can. I loathe wasps and so I have made it my personal mission to make my house and backyard wasp free so I can have a hot girl summer by the pool.
I have destroyed a few nests in my backyard so far with that wasp and hornet killing spray you can buy at Home Depot. But wasps kept invading my space and making it impossible to enjoy my backyard before the temperature gets too hot. So I went on a little adventure to find out where they were coming from and discovered that a small nest has been started on my neighbor’s house. It’s big enough that I can see at least 4 of the little bastards sitting on top simultaneously, and it will only get bigger if left alone.
This obviously will not stand. But what’s the etiquette here? Can I spray the nest myself? I can’t imagine anyone would be mad about a wasp nest being removed from their home. However, that’s probably technically trespassing. Should I leave them a note informing them of the nest? Should I offer to kill it or should I put the burden on them to do so? Should I knock on the door? I’ve never met these neighbors before. There’s no way they’ll say no to removing the nest….right? I’m having a pool party next week so I really need it gone before then and I’m worried if I leave it up to the neighbors, it won’t be.
I just hate wasps, with the passion of ten thousand suns, and I want them gone immediately (if not sooner). What’s the neighborly way to go about this?

2023.06.08 21:04 abcMF Update on my GRX70QA
I switched out the lipstick alnico II pickup that I had previously installed for a very hot alnico v single coil (9.4k). I also added a kurt cobain tone sticker that 100% affects the tone and a full set of strings which is now missing the high e string (it snapped due to all the tuning and detuning ive been doing in order to work on the guitar). I've got a new graphtec nut coming because my default plastic nut is hanging on by a thread (I hope, usps said it was delivered but mail person never came to my house so im just hoping its delayed by a day) still rocking the GFTron Modern Lead in the neck and the GFS Fat PAT in the bridge. I really like that combination, I'm still working on getting the pickup heights where I want them, especially for the single coil, they seem way more finicky than the humbuckers. I've also got a pickup selector shield that says unholy 💀 holy, unholy being the bridge and holy being the neck coming in as well Anyways, that's it for now. If anyone has any other cool mod suggestions for me I'll listen it doesn't matter if they're redundant or not. I'm just having fun with it.

"Nyeh...we did it!!" Himiko exclaimed happily. She and Kokichi threw their arms around each other in a triumphant embrace. He swung her around before they both did a victory dance. Himiko did the Running Man while Kokichi did a little pop and lock dance.
"HOO-AH!!" they exclaimed as they chest bumped each other and finished with a fist bump.
"Who's bad?" Kokichi cheered.
"We're bad!" Himiko cheered back.
"We're bad! We're bad! Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh!" they cheered in unison. Then, they high fived each other with a loud SMACK! "Oowwww!" they moaned, shaking their hands in pain.
"Nyeh...now that Gundham's hamster is back, what do we do now?" Himiko asked.
"We have to sneak him back over to Gundham's room," Kokichi replied.
"Nyeeehh...a stealth mission!" Himiko said with a sneaky smile.
"Exactly, Himiko!" Kokichi said, stroking her cheek affectionately. "We'll sneak out tonight, climb in through Gundham's room window, and slip Maga-Z back into his cage."
"Great!" Himiko said. She reached for Maga-Z, who bit her with his tiny teeth. "OW!!" Himiko shrieked, jerking her arm back. "He bit me!!"
"Lemme see," Kokichi said, holding Himiko's hand to look at it. "It was only a tiny bite. You'll be okay, Monkey Buns." He kissed her finger. "Better?" he asked. Himiko blushed and batter her eyelashes at him.
"Yeah," she said bashfully. "Thanks."
"No problem," Kokichi replied with a wink.
"Nyeeeh...but tell that hamster not to bite me anymore!" Himiko pouted, glaring at Maga-Z. Kokichi turned to Maga-Z and showed him one of his scary faces.
"Bad hamster!" he said. "Don't bite Himiko anymore!" Maga-Z shrunk back in fear. Kokichi turned his face to normal. "Okie-dokie! All better!" he said, placing his hands behind his head.
"You take him with you," Himiko mumbled. "I was going to, but if he's going to bite me, I don't want him anymore." Kokichi held his hand out to the hamster.
"Come here," he commanded to the little rodent. Reluctantly, but obediently, Maga-Z climbed into Kokichi's hand. Kokichi then turned to Himiko. "C'mon, it's probably almost dinnertime. And we gotta get out of these lab coats and get back downstairs before Miu finds out we went through her stuff." Himiko nodded. Kokichi pulled the rooftop lever the opposite way, closing the rooftop. He then pushed a button that led them down back to Miu's lab. They removed the lab coats and everything else before heading back to the elevator that led to Miu's closet. They checked to see if the coast was clear before heading out. Before they did, Kokichi slipped Maga-Z into his pants pocket.
"Stay there," he quietly ordered. Maga-Z did as he was told and buried himself deep in Kokichi's pocket. "C'mon, let's go eat," Kokichi said to Himiko.
"Yeah...reviving a dead hamster sure builds up an appetite," Himiko said. Kokichi chuckled and held her hand as he led her downstairs.

Later that night, Kokichi texted Himiko while everyone else was asleep.
KOKICHI: Hey, babe! Ready for the stealth mission?
HIMIKO: I've been waiting all night!
KOKICHI: Haha, okay! Let's go outside to the backyard, 'kay?
HIMIKO: Got it!
Himiko silently climbed out of bed and tiptoed so as not to wake up Tenko, who was sound asleep across the room and snoring so loudly. Himiko snuck downstairs in the darkness. She sneaked past the living room, the kitchen, and finally entered the dining hall, where she ran into someone.
"Oof!" she exclaimed. She felt an arm wrap around her waist and a hand cover her mouth.
"Hey, you," came Kokichi's flirty voice in the darkness. She could hear him smiling. He removed his hand, and Himiko felt his lips touch hers. She kissed him back.
"Nyeh...I thought you said we were going to meet in the backyard," Himiko whispered.
"We are," Kokichi whispered back. "For a second, I thought I lost Maga-Z, but he's still in my pocket."
"That's good," Himiko replied.
"Yuppers! C'mon, let's go," Kokichi said, taking Himiko's hand. They exited through the back door, where they could now see each other, thanks to the back porch light. They smiled at each other. Himiko noticed that Kokichi had black clothing hanging on his shoulder.
"What's that?" she asked, pointing to them.
"They're our sneaky outfits," Kokichi explained, holding one outfit out to Himiko. "We're gonna be ninjas!"
"Ooo! Nothing is sneakier and stealthier than a ninja!" Himiko said.
"Riiight?!" Kokichi replied. He placed Maga-Z on the ground. The two put their ninja outfits on and looked at each other. Only their eyes were showing. "Wooow, you look very ninja-y, Himiko!"
"You do, too!" Himiko said. "Nyeh...you look even more mysterious than you usually do!" Judging by the sound of her voice, Kokichi could tell she was blushing.
"Aww, thanks, Monkey Buns!" he said, nuzzling his covered nose against hers. He then picked Maga-Z up, and put him in one of his pockets. "Let's go!" he whispered to Himiko, who nodded to him in response. They snuck over to 7th Island House, scoping out the area for Gundham and Fuyuhiko's bedroom window. As they searched, they heard giggling and soft moaning sounds.
"What is that?!" Himiko whispered in fear. "Is somebody doing what I think they're doing?!" Silently, Kokichi led Himiko further towards the back of the house. The noises got louder, and they could make out Miu's voice in the darkness.
"Ohh...Kazuichi!" she moaned. "You definitely know what you're doing! Mmm-hmhmhmmm! Ooo! That's my good spot right there!"
"Heh, heh, heeeeeh...you know, Hotstuff, I'm all outta milk," Kazuichi was saying. "Think you have any...milk jugs to spare?"
"I got 'em right here for ya, Kazzy-cakes!" Miu murmured. Himiko whimpered in fear, burying herself against Kokichi's chest. Kokichi wrapped his arms around her and pulled her back.
"God, those two are so annoying!" Kokichi muttered.
"Yeah...maybe we should have just let Miu grow into a bitter, lonely, old lady," Himiko agreed.
"Here...I got an idea," Kokichi whispered. He led Himiko back to the front of 7th Island House and hid her behind a bush. "You wait here, Monkey Buns. I'll be back."
"Okay...hurry," Himiko whispered with apprehension.
"I'll be right back," Kokichi reassured her again before dashing off. Himiko waited in silence for a few minutes, growing more concerned the longer Kokichi was gone. Finally, a few minutes later, Himiko saw his shadowy figure rushing back towards her. He lifted a finger to his lips as he hid with her behind the bush. Soon after, Miu and Kazuichi came rushing from behind the house in fear. They whispered something to each other before going their separate ways back to their respective houses. Himiko sighed with relief.
"Nyeh...what did you do?" she asked Kokichi.
"Nee-heehee...there were some bats in that tree above them, so I threw a rock at the bats, and they started flying away, which freaked Kazuichi and Miu out."
"Phew...that was lucky," Himiko said. Kokichi grabbed her hand and led her back towards 7th Island House.
"I think this one right here is Gundham and Yakety-Yak's window," Kokichi said. "Here, give me a boost." Himiko cupped her hands together. Kokichi stood on her hands and lifted the window.
"Be careful," Himiko whispered as he crawled through. Once inside, Kokichi could hear Gundham mumbling something in his sleep. Across the room, he could hear Fuyuhiko snoring softly. Gundham's mumblings became louder ramblings.
"YOU, THERE!!" he yelled. Kokichi froze dead in his tracks. Gundham went back to mumbling something else in his sleep, causing Kokichi to sigh quietly in relief. Using the moonlight, he squinted his eyes as he searched for the empty cage that belonged to Maga-Z. Finally, he found it, and placed Maga-Z inside, making extra sure to lock the cage door. He tiptoed on his way back to the window. On his way there, he stepped on a rubber ducky, which broke the silence with a tremendous SQUEAK! Kokichi paused, waiting for something to happen.
"WHO'S THERE?!" Gundham demanded, waking up and sitting straight up in his bed.
"Uhhh..." Kokichi mumbled.
"SHOW YOURSELF!!!" Gundham demanded, reaching for the lamp on his desk. Without thinking, Kokichi lifted the rubber ducky and threw it as hard as he could at Gundham's head, making a loud SQUEAK again, and knocking him unconscious.
"Gundham...did you say something?" Fuyuhiko mumbled sleepily in the darkness.
"Uhh...uh...silence, mortal!" Kokichi answered, imitating Gundham. "It was naught but a nightmare! You needn't worry! Now go back to sleep so I can continue my slumber filled with chaotic dreams and pandemonium-ah!"
"Whatever you say," Fuyuhiko replied, turning over in his bed, and going right back to sleep. Kokichi breathed a sigh of relief and climbed back out through the window, silently closing it on the way out.
"Nyeh...did you do it?" Himiko whispered.
"Sure did!" Kokichi whispered back. Himiko threw his arms around him.
"Aww, I'm so proud of you, Panta Bear!" she whispered. Kokichi smiled at her, and they snuck silently back to Casa V3. Little did they know, however, that Maga-Z was undergoing a monstrous change at that moment.

 | So I was just going about my day Monday and next thing I know I see a DA notification on my phone saying I was mentioned by DarkfromLight. Thinking it was just a comment I looked and was in utter shock to see they had drawn Carnavont! Like omg, they said they loved my character and fiction and not only was I floored, but I honestly couldn't believe it. I just sat there with the biggest smile on my face processing that I could do something someone liked that much. Never in a million years did I think I'd ever get fan art of any of my characters or stories I do. So I’ve been going down the rabbit hole after coming out of watching Across the Spider-Verse in theaters, and am so insanely excited for what Beyond could bring us. I’m dumping a lot out here around Miles G. Morales, and am curious what everyone else is thinking.
Knowing that this is supposed to be the final film in a trilogy, it makes constructing theories a bit easier, because you can’t really leave loose threads. In my mind, they have to reconcile Gwen & Miles relationship (prove that Gwen & Spider-Man can work out), we need to find out if Miles can save his dad, The Spot has to be defeated, Miles has to overcome Spider-Man 2099’s opposition to him saving his father, and Miles has to get back to his reality. I’m sure I’m missing some stuff, but that’s the gist of what I’m thinking about when making these predictions.
I’m also curious what Beyond will mean in the title. With Into we got the intro into the Spider-Verse with a little taste. Across essentially opened us up to all of what’s in the Spider-Verse. I’d imagine Beyond will show us something outside the known Spider-Verse (whether Master Weaver playing some kind of role, a cross into live action world for Miles, or something else that expands the Spider-Verse beyond what we already know).
So with that, the predictions!
Each movie thus far has opened with a scene designed to introduce us more to a character and give us more backstory on the multiverse, and then a closing scene that mirrors the opening but with some kind of growth. Into the Spider-Verse introduced us to Spider-Man and provided the guidelines for similarities (canon) between all of the Spider-people, and closed with Miles Morales introducing himself finally as Spider-Man with his own twist on the structure provided earlier. Across the Spider-Verse opened with Gwen struggling to fit in with her band and quitting (along with a lot of stuff about her father and the multiverse), and closed with her forming a new band and repairing the relationship with her father. Since we’ve already been introduced to a lot of the characters we have now, I think the intro to Beyond the Spider-Verse is most likely to feature one of two people: Spider-Man 2099 (maybe) or Miles G. Morales (most likely). And, I think that we’ll close with our Miles recapping and talking about how the Spider-Verse is back in balance.
Spider-Man 2099 got quite a bit of background in Across the Spider-Verse, but it did feel like there could be a lot more to his story, and the opening could certainly be used to set him up as the true antagonist that Miles has to overcome rather than The Spot (not in a villainous way – though... maybe – but rather in as an obstacle to saving his father and the Spider-Verse).
I think that the opening scene will feature Miles G. Morales’ backstory to how he became Prowler in part due to, or because of, his father’s death. I think the major conflict on Earth 42 will be against the Sinister Six as opposed to Prowler Miles. Across the Spider-Verse made a point to mention the villainous group and highlighted their influence on everyone's lives (the curfew going into effect). It would make sense that Miles G.’s father was likely killed by a member of the Sinister Six, and that Miles as Prowler would be working in the shadows to get back at them rather than with them. In Into the Spider-Verse, the movie ends with Miles telling the audience that anyone can wear the mask. I think that they’ll use Earth 42 as a way to show that you don’t have to be a Spider-Man, or have a Spider-Man, to be a hero. In a sense, that anyone can put on the “mask” and be a superhero for their community.
Obviously with that, I think that Prowler Miles is still a “good guy” on Earth 42. If tying someone to a boxing bag makes them villainous, then our Miles would be villainous just the same since he did the same thing to Spider-Man in his universe. I think the main difference between the two Miles will be how dark & hardened Miles G. is rather than good vs. evil. When Miles was first introduced to Spider-Man as another Spider-Man, his colors shifted from green & purple (the colors of Prowler) to red & blue (the colors of Spider-Man). With hindsight, I think this was clearly meant to show that our Miles was originally intended, at least in some way, to be Prowler in the 1610 universe. While 42’s Miles, as we know, was originally intended to be Spider-Man but became Prowler instead, I don’t think that would have shifted the side he’d be fighting on. I think that’s why you still see red & blue colors & lighting (the influence of Spider-Man) in Aaron’s apartment despite Miles G.’s shift to Prowler.
Don’t have much to go on here, but I also think that the heroes will learn something, I’m not sure what yet, about how canon events work, and why Gwen’s dad was saved with causing catastrophe while on Earth 42. That feels like the most likely conclusion to their time here with The Spot presented as such a big multiverse threat. They likely have to take something from their time on 42 to convince Miguel that Miles’ father can be saved and perhaps there are ways to change canon.
I would imagine we’ll see Gwen & Miles reconcile while on 42, and will likely also see some closure between our Miles and Aaron. For one of my more out-there predictions, I think this will set up one of the biggest moments in the movie, with Prowler Miles getting some closure by playing a part in saving our Miles’ father towards the end.
I also think there’s more to Miguel’s backstory, but more so think he’ll be tied to Master Weaver as opposed to an Inheritor or Morlun. Even before setting up the Spider Society, Miguel had the ability to travel dimensions, and in the comics, that ability comes from the Master Weaver so perhaps he got that technology from them. Being that the Master Weaver is more of a mantle rather than a person, I think we’re headed for their introduction in the third movie with someone taking up the mantle by the end, perhaps Miles, Gwen, or Miguel.

Hey y’all new employee here, how hot is too hot for the garden center to be open? It’s southern Georgia and it’s getting SOOOO hot. I was just wondering when hot is too hot and they shut it down. I had 2 fans blowing on me yesterday and ice water all day and still was miserable!! I had asked a manager and they said they have never shut down the garden center for it being too hot that they are aware of. Anyone else ever wonder these things?? Lol

The WYDOT website, the 511 mobile app, and Google Maps traffic views are all your friends the day before or morning of any road trip through an area. High cross winds, whiteout ground blizzards, and sheet ice are all the norm. If you and your vehicle are not prepared for that and potentially being stranded, we highly recommend finding alternate routes. Towns are few and far between for rest, lodging, food, and fuel. And no, it's neither safe nor legal to ignore posted road closures.

WY is the least populated state, and least densely populated state after Alaska, for a myriad of reasons. Rhode Island has quite a bit more residents. At time of writing, there are 4 towns with populations (barely) over 30k people, and Wyoming's population has overall shrunk in the last 5 years. It's a big empty. Jackson is very different than the rest of the state. Outside of a few of the largest towns, you will not have city amenities, and will need to road trip to them, or even out of state to a metro area, for certain things.
"I want to move across the country to go off the grid and be a self-sufficient homesteader in Wyoming...."
The land isn't very arable, the growing season is short, potable water isn't a given in many areas, and there's a reason Wyoming historically didn't have the grassroots homesteading / agriculture outside of ranching that other Western states had. We recommend you live here away from towns for a year before you try some "living off the land" adventure for your own safety and sanity.

Maybe you just decided you loved how your local barista made your cappuccino and you wanted to try it at home. Maybe your suspender-man-bun hipster barista friend gave you a shot “on the house” and from then on you were hooked. No matter what your own attraction to it is, espresso is intense, captivating, alluring, and an often mysterious phenomenon that keeps people coming back for more.
Do you have a question about how to use something new? Want to know how many grams of coffee you should use or how fine you should grind it? Not sure about temperature adjustments? It's fantastic seeing Callisto finally being loved the way it should. As someone who pre-ordered and was happy with the experience despite the performance flaws, it was painful watching SDD and Callisto get shit on by everyone who didn't actually play it, and now, reviews are going up, new players are coming in, it's great! Finally logging in to the subreddit and mostly seeing positive posts is one of the most heartening things.
That said, as a pre-order buyer, I also hot to experience the harder day 1 version, before all the changes to the gameplay that made it easier. Thay day 1 edition was the most fun and challenging version, and it's painful that as someone who loved that version, I can no longer play it without downpatching my game. Please, bring back that Day 1 edition in some capacity. I'm not even begging you to change all the campaign difficulties and eliminate the easier updates, just give those of us who actually did think the day 1 version's difficulty was the best version.
You can see it all over the sub, too. People saying the game is too easy, that all you have to do is waggle the stick and dodge, or that it's easier to kill yourself to end riot mode than to die to the enemies. Day 1 edition would give all players something new to try, and it would be a nice reward to those of us who were here at the start.
I dont know how hard this would be but if you do, please keep it exactly the same, including where enemies used to be placed, let enemies deal full damage from anywhere they hit you, allowing enemies to attack all at once instead of one at a time or at most a small group, have enemies actually attack from behind instead of repositioning you for you, including the harder dodge that can fail, slower reloads, having to swap weapon frames from small to large instead of it being automatic, and of course, the older version of the melee combat that felt heavier. Maybe do it like Resident Evil's professional mode, warn players this is the hardest experience, that dodging will take a bit of skill, and that enemies hlcan attack in groups. Just please, don't fully give up on that version of your game. Callisto was the most fun and unique survival horror experience in some time, and while it's still fun and unique, the day 1 version had a whole other feel to it that just isn't replicated by anything else, even the hard-core or riot modes.
