2023.01.01 20:31 preppytarg PSA: If you're seeing posts from the MarvelStudiosSpoilers subreddit in your home feed despite not being subscribed, you have Home Feed Recommendations enabled. You can turn it off.

It seems there's a feature of reddit that will show you recommended posts from subreddits you don't follow, based on your history. If you're subscribed to this sub, you might see posts from related subs, including /marvelstudiosspoilers. That's not cool, because that sub is a free-for-all, and doesn't censor itself to protect the spoiler-free folk who might stumble upon their posts.
Want that to stop?
Go to your User Settings. In Feed Settings, disable "Home Feed Recommendations."
Happy New year!

2022.10.10 22:56 RRabindran My scene made it into the extended cut! (and what to do now?)

Hey guys,
So this is my story.
Back in February 2021 I was scrolling through reddit, and I found myself on marvelstudiosspoilers. I found a post that was linked to an extras casting facebook page, and decided to sign up for it because I live near Atlanta (where the movie was being filmed). The movie turned out to be Spider-Man: No Way Home, and I was given a role as a background high school student. While I was there, they filmed a last minute scene and used me in it!
Fast forward to December 2021, I went to see No Way Home in theaters, but unfortunately my scene was cut. i actually posted on this subreddit asking for any sort of help, but unfortunately there was nothing I could do. I still ended up getting paid, and had all the memories, but it was real sad that my first ever acting experience was locked behind some servers owned by Sony.
Recently back in September, they re-released the movie with some deleted scenes and mine made it in! I'm super happy with how it turned out.
Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZB0w5l7mbE (I'm lab partner)
But now comes the difficult part. I don't exactly know what to do after this. I signed up for Actor's Access and Backstage, do I just apply to roles I'm interested in? No Way Home was essentially my first acting thing since my 4th grade Christmas play. Another issue is that I am currently in college majoring in computer science. I don't have as much time as I'd like to be flexible. I've gotten some good advice from some people (which was mainly just be confident and apply to stuff on backstage). This entire acting ordeal was pretty much just pure luck. But I genuinely would like to see if I can do it. Please let me know if you guys have any tips!

2022.09.26 09:48 Biryani-Man69 "Its not a political sub, please stay to the topic" r/marvelstudiosspoilers mods delete and lock comments accusing Letitia Wright of being an antivaxxer

Letitia Wright is a divisive figure among Marvel fans since she has been openly an antivaxxer. Fans are against her role expansion in Black Panther 2 because it does disservice to Chadwick Boseman who passed away due to a disease.
MarvelStudiosSpoilers is known for having collective meltdowns on many occasions. You should have seen the sub when Daredevil didn't make an appearance in She Hulk last week after being teased an episode before that, but that meltdown is nothing compared to what happened here.

2022.09.24 19:16 andthatwillbeit The spoiler culture here is getting worse and worse

I remember reading a post about the NWH spoilers (Toby and Andrew) that were simply everywhere. But that was understandable enough, with the popularity of those two actors and all the nostalgia. It wasn't that easy to hide.
But now I'm reading huge Black Panther plot spoilers in practically every bigger thread about the movie. That a certain character becomes Black Panther. It isn't even disguised as 'speculation', just stated as a fact. I know that it was leaked and that it's true.
At this point this place isn't even different from marvelstudiosspoilers because everyone wants to know everything and they just don't care. It didn't use to be like this, but now it's widely accepted to the point that people saying 'we won't know that until the movie comes out' are getting heavily downvoted, which is just hilarious. Imagine coming to an Endgame thread months before the movie came out and stating with all certainty that Stark dies, but everyone's aware of it anyway and you suffer no consequences for spoiling the stuff.

2022.05.03 14:41 r053tf19 Accountability Partners for pre-MoM

I vowed to myself months ago that I wouldn’t intentionally spoil MoM for myself because I’ve been looking forward to this movie, honestly, more than any other MCU movie/show.
I’m the type of person that tends to spoil shit for myself by getting too curious and seeking out spoilers. I had an idea that may help more people than just myself. Does anyone like the idea of coordinating an accountability partner to stop ourselves? I unsubbed from marvelstudiosspoilers as a head start.
Comment below to find a partner! Good luck my friends.

2022.03.30 08:45 Biryani-Man69 Multiple Sub drama as Marvel nerds outrage over Falcon and Winter Soldier censorship without getting the full context

Marvel fandom is an entitled one. The sub dedicated to Marvel movies have a lot of infighting and bikering and there have been instances where fans skipped over complete episodes to confirm if a certain character appeared or not (Mephisto, Kingpin, etc)
The recent drama started after viewers find out that Disney+ Edited Falcon and Winter Soldier to Censor Violence and Blood.
Now this doesn't seem to be the case as the top comment in marvelstudiosspoilers explain what may be happening.
But fact and logic doesn't go well with Reddit. People are outraging in MarvelStudiosSpoilers and MarvelStudios
Main threads

https://www.reddit.com/marvelstudios/comments/trtl6f/disney_has_edited_scenes_in_the_falcon_and_the/
https://www.reddit.com/marvelstudios/comments/trgx8t/disney_censorship/

Explanation
This could just be Disney+ messing around with their content to try & have a "family friendly" version, and a more mature version, depending on the parental limitations that were just introduced into the Disney+ app (after the Netflix shows were added)
Nerds Overreact
We're 100% not getting R rated Blade or a Daredevil revival with a dark tone.
Lol daredevil Reebot is gonna be pg-13, full of MCU cameos, and “did that just happened?
Daredevil is fucked god damn
Makes me worried for movies like Deadpool
Literally 1984

Enjoy this multiverse multisub drama. Something tells me this is just the beginning

Edit: It turns out The original version of 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' is coming back to Disney+. Edited version was published by mistake.
So yeah, Reddit jumped the gun

2022.02.04 18:29 JohnBeLucky Starting a separate subreddit for theories? This place is pretty cluttered.

The many posts that are theorizing about the hands seen in the posters are all in good fun, and are producing some interesting theories; but it’s a little out of control. Could the mods consider starting a daily thread for “theory making” where folks can discuss hands to their heart’s content, or alternatively even starting a separate subreddit for vetted leaks/news?
The mods at starwarsleaks and marvelstudiosspoilers do a great job steering a tight operation that allows minimal “theory making” and only approved news. I think it would be great if we considered following in this example. Just my 2 cents! I know others may disagree.
