I was wondering if anyone else received a part-time job offer at an international school and how they were able to fill their time and be able to make a living wage.
A little background: I just finished my student teaching internship here in the USA. I received my first job offer to go teach at a new international school in France. Everything seems great and the school said they would sponsor my visa and help get everything situated for me with the French government.
The only problem is that this is a part-time position (teaching about 3 hours per day) and I need to figure out some kind of additional part-time job to fill my time and be able to make a livable wage.
Has anyone been in this situation? What kind of jobs would you recommend a new teacher to do on the side? Thank you!

Reddit does not seem to care that we moderators are volunteers (not being paid) and purely moderate for the sole purpose of the love we have for our subreddits and the purposes that they serve to our communities. We are basically unpaid workers for this site and Reddit just seems that they want to make things harder for us, while they bank and profit off of us.
Hopefully a change will be made for the better sake of Reddit and our community.

What's going on?
A recent API policy change by Reddit (FREE API BECOMING PAID) will render most third-party apps that you most likely use such as Apollo, RIF, Narwhal, and others dead and useless. This will force users to use the inferior native Reddit app. Even if you don't use the app, the use of old reddit will be harmed as well. Not only will third-party applications be affected, moderation bots will most likely be affected as well.How will this affect our subreddit?
Our subreddit is a seasonal subreddit, highly dependent on different external sources for material, with moderate levels of traffic throughout a game hype season and high levels of traffic during a leak dump. With the API policy changes, the quality of the subreddit will most likely be put in jeopardy. The moderation team and I mostly use Apollo as our means of moderating the subreddit as it includes such crucial moderation tools such as AutoModerator configuration editing and mod log for removal explanations, which not even the native Reddit app includes. As you can tell, this will put more difficulty on the moderation team to mod. Alongside us moderators, we use third party moderation bots as well such as image repost detection bots which we highly rely on for the past 3 leak dumps and bots that can for the most part, act almost as a human moderator based on community patterns that really helps us out. With the API change, this will all be probably dead and degrade the subreddit's quality when the time comes again for another leak season and dump.Why is Reddit making this API policy change?
Probably money, but maybe they have their own internal reasons, who knows. For example, it will cost the creator of Apollo over $20 million per year to run the app with the new API policy change, PSA: Apollo will be shutting down on June 30.Reddit does not seem to care that we moderators are volunteers (not being paid) and purely moderate for the sole purpose of the love we have for our subreddits and the purposes that they serve to our communities. This is gonna be a long and probably confusing post, trying to get my thoughts on paper or write them out just seems impossible at this point
My ex gf(34) and I M(29) broke up just under 5 weeks ago. We were in a LDR for 8 months and I fell hard in love with her
She was married and I was single, I never pursued her because of this. Until one night we were hanging out on a discord call with friends and she messaged me telling me how attractive she thinks I am, I at first thought she was messing around and thought nothing of it until a few more messages, then she came on very hard sexually. So I decided to say fuck it and go along with it cause i always found her attractive and we vibed. (I regret it everyday, at the time I didn't care about her marriage and I know how shitty I am for it, karma has well and truly done what it needed to do to me) this continued for a couple weeks, it was highly sexual, the messages, voice notes, videos, pictures and calls. This goes on for a couple weeks and then she started to talk about how she was feeling towards me, she would call me her twin flame, say things like she's never connected with anyone the way she does me etc. I always rejected the talk of feelings because I didn't want to go there. I didn't want to catch feelings as this was purely sexual to me. Fast forward a couple more weeks and at this point we have been talking a fuck ton, about very personal things, our childhoods, our life, bonded over music, games and whatnot. She continued to push her feelings for me and I continued to keep my guard up because I didn't want to end up in this position I am now in. She told me she was going to divorce her husband, I never commented or gave advice on it because lt was not my place to do so. I did tell her to heal from her divorce, take time for herself and find herself again. She agreed and wanted to do so, so she could be fully available to me. I know at this point we had already cheated and destroyed another man but I atleast respected her for wanting to heal. She filed for divorce and we continued to talk but then the subject of love came up. I told her I will not go there until me and her are in person and know how it really feels, she agreed but then one week goes by and she tells me she is in love with me. I was falling for her and knew how I felt but wanted us to do so in person. We then became a couple... I know how fucked up it is, I really do.
She would tell me weird things like men always hitting on her, always trying to get with her, send me screenshot of guys non stop bothering her. I never asked for these things, so It made me feel weird but I never communicated it, which I know is my fault and something I've learnt. At this point we were dating and she would complain of this one guy non stop bothering her and she can't get rid of him. I told her just tell the dude you're with your bf and he will probably back off, I was not happy with her over this because it felt like she was hiding me. She apologised and we moved forward with it, then she started lying about being in other guys streams. I called her out on her lies and she would always proceed to call me jealous and insecure, the thing that hurt the most was after our blowup she would go back into that guys stream and give him money. Felt like a kick in the gut. Was there jealousy there? Yes? I sat with it for a while to understand why I was being jealous and all I could think about was the amount of times she would tell me about different men trying to get with her and the little lies she would come up with, i could never prove she was lying and i know it made me sounds crqzy and possesive but i know what i saw and i know what my gut was telling me. I'm normally not a jealous man. This would happen a few times and it hurt me but I bottled it up and it came out in the wrong way. That's on me... another example is when she mentioned this man messaging her just after her divorce, wanting to take her out etc. She would shit talk this guy to me, call him creepy and whatnot. One day we were laying down and I look over to her, I glanced at her phone and here is the same guy she is calling a creep messaging her. I was furious, instead of confronting her I gave the silent treatment, immature of me I know but I just didn't know how to deal with what my gut was telling me, I rejected it all and refused to believe that this person I'm in love with is lying to me and God knows what else.
She also told me about a time her best friends husband tried to kiss her. Again, I dont know why she told me this but hey ho. She also told me how they both cheated on one another many times. She brought me to that house, I remember the four of us chilling in their garage having a drink, laughs and a smoke. Her friend showed me photos of a lake they all go to in the summer. As we left to head back home my gf goes on to tell me how she isn't happy with her friend, she didn't like the way she leaned over me to show photos. Then went on to say how I am her friends type and all this bullshit. I told her to take that up with her friend and leave me the fuck out of this cause I did nothing nore even notice something like that. We had a massive argument over it. Wasn't the first time she got jealous over another woman. I dont mind jealousy, i think its a normal reaction to have but as long as it doesnt become unhealthy and controlling, the other ones were minor but questions were asked about certain women liking photos on my Instagram. One I went on a date with once and the other who I worked with. That's it, I was happy to say who these people were and what they meant to me. I had nothing to hide. Time goes on and she flew over to me (London) for my birthday. We argued that night too and she threatened to leave me, I told her if she ever threatens to do so again, I will leave her as I found it cruel to put that one someone. Writing this out I realise how toxic this all was. Which hits me hard because I felt like I was in love and we connected so well. I wish I communicated how I felt better, I wish I didn't do what I did and I wish I was given a fair chance to be in love. I am also at fault for this I'm fully aware.
Fast forward to few weeks ago we have a massive row again because I called her out on her lies, she called me a psycho and too possessive. I tried to explain its not that you are in another man's stream, it's the fact that you lie about it and I don't know why, she then goes on to tell me im only ever comfortable when she goes to a her other best friends house, i said yes because she seemed level headed and honest, the reason i felt uncomfortable with her going to her other friends house was because of them doing cocaine in there, which she had told me about but it was all made out to be like i was jealous because the husband tried to kiss her. It had fuck all to do with that, its drugs and she knew how i felt about drugs. But I was starting to feel like I may genuinely be highly jealous and insecure. I dont know if that's because she has made me feel that way or I am like that. I've worked hard these last 2 months to make sure that's not the case. Anyway she forgave me and we moved forward, until 3 weeks later she said this isn't working. I begged, I pleaded and I didn't understand why I was given this chance and then had it snatched from me when I was doing everything I can to work on myself
She went on to say she wants to heal because she had just gotten out of an 11 year relationship, and be by herself. I found it hard to believe considering that's what she should've done 8 months ago, like we said. Then she proceeds to tell me its because of the hurt I caused her that night a few weeks ago when we argued. I accused her of lying, which she was.i didn't verbally assault or call her names I just asked her to tell me what is going on. We were intoxicated and I just had enough of the little lies. I know that is for me to work on and put right, I will accept anything and everything I've done wrong these last 8 months. I realise I'm a shitty person and whatever came from this relationship I deserved. But I feel like I was never given a chance considering how we started. I know I never should've got with a person that was married. The trust was not there because of it but still i pushed how i felt aside and rejected my gut feelings. My heart tells me to let her go, remove her from my socials and really start to heal but I can't let go and it's killing me
I know I deserve to feel how her husband felt when she moved on straight away. I get that but I don't think I deserved the emotional abuse here, I think its emotional abuse. I'm just so confused and trying to figure it out so I can learn from this

I was always ahead of children my age - when I was 6, in kindergarten, I would be reading medical books instead of interacting with children and all adults (except for my parents) always praised me for my intelligence. Even in secondary school my physics teacher started rambling about how intelligent I am in the middle of the class because I got shy when she told me that my project was fantastic (it was absolutely embarrassing I wanted to disappear from the room), even though I had mediocre grades from this subject on that level (all B’s).
(Now, shortly: in my country, you get into highschool based on your points. Points = points from your final exams from secondary school added to your final grades from secondary school and eventual addictional activities/achievements. Classes in our highschools are strictly profiled: for example classes with extended biology-chemistry-maths or maths-physics-english etc.)
I got into the best class in my region. Actually, I was supposed to be in a different class, but you can always write a document to a headmaster, asking whether there is a room for a new student in a different class and they will most likely transfer you and that’s what I did.
Nonetheless, even if I didn’t get into this class, I would still be at the best school in my region. I’m in class with extended biology, chemistry and maths, with additional extended French (DELF course).
Being in here made me realize how insanely stupid I am. Dumb, empty and hopeless. Surrounded by all of these actually talented kids, being probably one of the worst students in the class.
(No I’m not failing anything. My grades are just mediocre. And mediocre is bad in my class, because the other kids have stunning performance)
Because I was smart. Intelligent, whatever. But not in general - I just was that compared to my other peers. And now when I’m faced with the best people from around my region, it opened my eyes.
It makes me feel so bad. Intelligence was the only good thing about me, ever. Because I’m ugly and not very social, and I would rather observe than be a part of something. Which is considered unattractive (in many meanings of that word) by an extremely big group of people.
And yeah, I befriended someone. We clicked so fast, because we’re so similar.

So, I just finished picking the Evo Devo's junk up out of the crater and was walking up the mountain to make the drop off when one of those green "So-an-So delivered repair materials to wherever" messages appeared. Two of them were randos I didn't recognize but one of them was... ME. Now, not only was I a long way from that structure, but I can also say for sure I have never repaired that particular one. In fact, I have barely even been in that area of the map in a while, and then just to deliver pizzas

I'm thinking of having my bachelor party at Lake of the Ozarks in August, but I'm going to have quite a few of my black friends with me, and we're all a little hesitant; I'm sure you all know the Ozarks has a bit of a reputation. We went on a float trip in Steelville, MO a few years ago, and some of my friends experienced inappropriate comments and behavior from other people on the river. It wasn't anything too crazy, but it was as if they'd never seen a person of color before. Obviously this experience has made my friends a little hesitant to travel somewhere rural that's very white and conservative.
As for plans in the Ozarks, we were planning to get a cottage/cabin/etc. for our group, hit some bars, and sail a little. Part of the alure is the social aspect, and I was thinking of staying around Horny Toad/Lazy Gator, or Osage Beach. But when you see places like Karen's Kozy Kottage, you start to second guess things. Here's an example of what I'm talking about, and this is pretty much the same stuff that happened in Steelville.
Edit: We're all from MO, we're not some hyper sensitive group of people. None of us have ever been tot he Ozarks, just doing my due diligence. It's my bachelor party, and I'd hate to take my friends somewhere they'll be uncomfortable. Basically it keeps itching the back of my head for years.
When i was younger, around 2010-2015, i had an ipod touch and i played various games. One of them sticked in my head because of the system that was good. But through my eyes as a child, it was good but not incredible. So i ended up forgetting about it. But nowadays, as i have this good interrest in idle games and incrementals, it sparks me and i had flashback about it. And i searched through and through and i am not able to found anything about it. Went through lists of all registered apple games early 2010-2015, nothing. Went through google image with keywords, I even used chatGPT, giving him description of what i remember but nothing really interesting came out. So i hope somebody here would have play it and give me a hint.
Here it is : It is a superhero game where you can customize a superhero from scratch, adding the name, and some elements to custom (clothes, wings, aura....) I remember that there was a lot of options as i never saw twice the same exact character. But a big part was locked to buy, or unlock from level up..... don't remember everything about that part, just that there was lots of options. There were a system of skills where you choose what kind of superhero you are. From my memory i remember that there was elemental options as i unlocked some wind, water and fire skills (i think i remember some dark and light skills too as they were some poison and healing ones). To unlocked them or level them up it was a system of quest with a timer. And sometimes it took days to level up or unlock a new skill (obviously there was money system to shorten the timer).
The missions system was made like a progression bar with sometime some fights during the progression. The fighting system is blurry in my mind. I don't remember if it was an active taping skills or totally auto. But on the screen you could see your character on the left and the enemy on the right with some HP and SP/Mana like bar.
The UI of the app is also blurry but i think it was globaly a blue color like twitter blue.
I think the full left window was the character management, then the quest, then the missions, then the arena where you could fight other players. I am not sure if there was a guild or clan like system. Nor if there were a chatting system. As i was young my english (which is not my main language) was not good so i was not really looking for this.
I really like the design of it. Even blurry, i have a nice feeling of nostalgia remembering about it.
During my research i didn't find anything close to it. And as i remember that there was a time i jailbreaked my ipod, i am not even sure if it was an official apple game or a Cydia game.... which doesnt help at all in the research.

So if anybody remember something anything about it, would be nice to not feel alone in the research of this game! And maybe see if they continued it or remastered it.

The UI of the app is also blurry but i think it was globaly a blue color like twitter blue.
I think the full left window was the character management, then the quest, then the missions, then the arena where you could fight other players. I am not sure if there was a guild or clan like system. Nor if there were a chatting system. As i was young my english (which is not my main language) was not good so i was not really looking for this.
I really like the design of it. Even blurry, i have a nice feeling of nostalgia remembering about it.
During my research i didn't find anything close to it. And as i remember that there was a time i jailbreaked my ipod, i am not even sure if it was an official apple game or a Cydia game.... which doesnt help at all in the research.
ChatGPT proposed me quite a lot of options but none was it. The only one which "might" be it, in the idea of the game, would be "City of Heroes: mobile" which went out more or less during this time. The "City of Heroes" official games on computer are very free in the customisation system which could be the same way of developpment as the app i played. But there is absolutely NO SCREENSHOT or any info about it all other the web. So i have no idea if this is it.
So if anybody remember something anything about it, would be nice to not feel alone in the research of this game! And maybe see if they continued it or remastered it.

I am observer, at the first I saw that my car (sedan) had a little dent in the midle of the corner of the trunk, I really wonder how or when it was made, because I have never crashed, and that part of the trunk is very high and separate of the back bumper so if someone would crashed me, in a parking lot for example, that part of the trunk would never been touched. I know, I know that some people would say that when they opened the trunk door it hit with something, but the thing is that the force when the trunk opens is not very hard, it is just the necesary to release the trunk but not open it all, and in the other hand, if fomeone opened it manually then how could it hit with sometehing if the person is standed just behind taking care of it?
After That i was one of my neighborgs had a liitle dent in almost the same part of his car... and after this, more and more cars have very similar trunk dents, so I started to take a picture of them to get register of that couriosity....and afterall, I'm still wondering why, when or how those trunk dents were made.
Here I will be posting all the pictures that I have about this and the new ones that I take. You can contribute to this community with photos, just blur the car plates for privacy.

Sé que algunos dirán que tal vez se golpeó cuando se abrió la cajuela pero, si se hubiera abierto desde adentro o desde el control remoto la apertura no es muy fuerte, apenas lo suficiente para que se abra la chapa y no sube con fuerza como para golpearse tan fuerte al grado de doblarse el metal y aboyarse. Por otro lado, si una persona la está abriendo manualmente, como y donde podría golpear si se supone que la persona que la abre está allí libre de obstáculos y cuidando que se abra bien?
Después vi que el auto de mi vecino tenía una abolladura similar en el mismo lugar, luego de eso vi mas y mas autos con abolladuras similares en el filo de la cajuela, todas con ese mismo golpe al centro y en la esquina donde se dobla la cajuela, así que comencé a tomar fotos de ello para ir registrando esta curiosidad. Aún hoy, después de todo, me sigo preguntando como, por qué o donde se han hecho estas abolladuras...

I'm living with the avengers, at the compound next to NY. My parents died when I was 10, Avengers rescued me and now I live with them. But who are my legal guardians now? I'm still a minor!
I don't know how it works in the USA, I'm french, that's why idk how to proceed. Should I say one of the avengers adopted me ? Fostered me ? Idk...I'd prefer not to have any of these, but it creates a legal vacuum and could cause problems.

Rennes - Around 40 standing stones thought to have been erected by prehistoric humans 7,000 years ago have been destroyed near a famed archaeological site in northwest France to make way for a DIY store, an angry local historian has revealed.
The stones in Carnac were between 50-100 centimetres high and stood close to the main highly protected areas of one of Europe's largest and most mysterious pre-historic tourist attractions.
He believes 39 standing stones - known as menhirs - have been lost, estimating their age to be around 7,000 years based on carbon dating conducted on stones nearby in 2010.
The land was granted a building permit from the local mayor's office in August last year and DIY chain Mr. Bricolage is currently building a new store there.
The stones are thought to have had a sacred and funereal function, although various theories exist.
"There weren't archaeological excavations in order to know if the stones were menhirs or not," he said.
