I just called to cancel my internet service with Xfinity and ended up being more confused than ever by the time the call ended! I’m so interested in Verizon’s new home internet offer of $35 per month for for the next two to three years for comparable speeds. That price and special is SOOO appealing!!! Xfinity has done nothing except increase my bill every year since I joined them a few years back. I’ve been able to make it work up until now but the cost of EVERYTHING has gone up this year!
I get an agent on the phone and she convinces me that is probably a better solution she can offer me by staying with Xfinity, so I give her a chance. I stayed on the phone for nearly half an hour with the Xfinity agent just now and am left incredulous about her “better solutions”. My only options: I can pay the same price I do now to increase my speed to a gig, pay the same price as I do now to stay at the same speed, or cut my speed to half of what it is now and reduce my bill by only $10. What. In. The. World. None of those are equivalent to a better solution. I can either pay the same to stay where I am at, or pay the same to increase my speed-which will inevitably lead to an increase in payment next year, or reduce a half of my speed for only a $10 reduction (scary option since I work from home and have a tech savvy house and struggled with that speed in the past). I’d be calling Verizon for more info if my brain wasn’t fried after that conversation! 😣

My wife had to come here for work this week so I tagged along. Staying near Alton and Dade drinking and watching the traffic go by. I'm from Ohio and we have bad drivers there too but damn. Went to Mexico a couple years ago and they drive better.
Why does everyone honk .375 seconds after the light turns green?
Noticed a lot of people just force their way in when merging.

Went to Flanigans in Coconut Grove a couple nights ago. I had the Texas Burger, wife had a seafood dish. Great food. Great vibe. Great service. No 20% mandatory service fee tacked on which was nice but we ended up tipping about 33% due to the service. Waitress was from the same town as my wife. Small world. Flanigan's also reminds me of Roosters back in Ohio a bit. Same kind of vibe and it's only an Ohio thing.

I’m 28F and disabled. I have several mental health diagnoses and believe I have also been struggling with undiagnosed ADHD my entire life. I was told about a practice that caters to queer neurodivergent folk by a friend who had only heard of them. She had no experience with them herself. I requested an appointment in December of 2022, but due to the incompetence of their scheduling office, I was unable to get in until late January of this year. I was told the first time that I had not scheduled my appointment through a third-party website, and it was canceled as a result. I did not find out until the day of. So I scheduled again using the third-party website. This appointment was also canceled, because I was apparently I was supposed to schedule through the practice’s website, which is what I had done in the first place. I also did not learn this until the day of the appointment. By this point it was mid-January and due to the stress of this and not receiving the care I needed, my performance at work began to suffer and I was constantly on edge, which affected my personal relationships. I wrote a one star review on Google before even being seen because of this. Eventually I managed to get in, but it was apparent from the get-go that the nurse practitioner running the place was not happy about my review, as it had brought their overall rating on Google down by a significant amount. New reviews praising the practice appeared shortly after, and I believe they were written by employees. The woman who always answered the phone at the front desk urged me repeatedly to delete my review. My own psychiatrist brought it up multiple times and I informed her that I would update or delete the review once I felt I had received a quality of care that justified doing so. This never happened, but I still caved to the pressure and deleted my review after getting my diagnosis. The practice’s online portal was near impossible to use and made it very difficult to get in contact with my provider. Days would elapse before getting a response and I frequently couldn’t even see them in the messaging system, which led to me having to call the office again and again. Furthermore the scheduling office would close at 2pm, despite the practice itself staying open until 8pm. I would have to schedule my appointments after 2 due to work. If I was having issues accessing the telehealth video chat, I couldn’t get in contact with anyone to troubleshoot and would miss my appointment as a result.
By March, I had finally gotten my diagnosis of ADHD. My psychiatrist told me that because the practice was run by a nurse practitioner, they couldn’t prescribe me controlled substances such as adderall or vyvanse. I believed them, and decided to seek treatment elsewhere. Interestingly, when I spoke with my physician about the situation, she said that they should have been able to to prescribe me stimulants. This confused me, but having had enough of this practice’s bull, I went ahead and put myself on a waitlist for treatment at OSU. They wouldn’t be able to get me in until July, so for now, my ADHD is completely untreated. I called my former practice and requested they fax my records to OSU. This was three months ago. My records have not been sent over and I have repeatedly called them requesting they do so. The last time I called them and spoke to the receptionist, she used a completely different name. She has a distinctive voice, so I know it was the same woman. Today I called again before 2pm, and was sent to voicemail. I am beginning to believe they are avoiding me and/or no longer have my records, meaning I have endured 7 months of their utter incompetence for my diagnosis to mean absolutely nothing because I can’t prove that it even happened to a new provider. I was paying ~$140 per session and I’m back where I started. My quality of life continues to suffer. I’ll definitely be writing another very thorough review and continue to call them, but I’m scared that I’ll have to wait months upon months again to get another assessment from a different provider, who I am still waiting to get in with. Is this grounds for a medical malpractice case?

TLDR: My niece is so naive/immature/lacking is basic social skills, and will get eaten alive (by others and her own inner thoughts and feelings) as a missionary. She just received her call. How can I help her prepare so that this doesn't royally mess her up for the rest of her life without it seeming like I am trying to talk her out of going or badmouthing the church-- I want to respect her being an adult and making decisions and not create a backfire effect, while helping protect her.
Complete Story: I (M35) and my wife and kids are the only portion of my incredibly large family that are out of the church. We have been out for a few years. Everyone in my family is 100% in (i.e. stake presidencies, high councils, bishoprics, relief society presidents, young women's leaders, temple workers, weekly temple patrons, every man and most women went on missions, etc...). Prior to leaving, we had just moved houses into a new ward and were subsequently released from our last callings (mine in stake leadership, and my wife from her 4th straight primary presidency).
When we left, and in congruence with being incredibly honest and open people, we decided to pull the bandaid of immediately and tell everyone "we wanted you to know that we will no longer be attending church. It was incredibly hard to come to this decision, as you all know that we have dedicated our entire lives to the church and adhering to the teachings of the gospel. We love and respect each and every one of you, and we will not push this conversation further on you any further than you desire. We genuinely only want to be a part of the family. Please feel free to ask us questions when you are ready."
It has been multiple years, and not a single person (grandparents, parents, siblings, spouses, nieces and nephews, aunts/uncles, cousins, etc...) has ever attempted to talk to us to even ask "why?"
I have gone out of my way (to much personal pain) to ask them how their callings are going, ask when they have girls camp, how their ministering families and ward members were getting by during the pandemic, etc..., and overall trying to talk about the church in non-confrontational ways that show them I care about things that are important to them that I don't agree with and can talk about the church still without it becoming any sort of fight. But they have never said a thing to me about leaving. Never a single question. I honestly feel less valuable than ever in their eyes, not just because I left the church (which brings a whole world of personal insecurities about how they view me), but because if eternal families are so important, why am I not worth even asking the most basic question of why I just committed the ultimate sin.
Personal whiny diatribe aside-- the only person in my family that has mentioned the church to us is my 19 year old niece when she let us know that her mission call arrived a few weeks ago and she was opening it on Zoom that evening. My whole family logged in and watched and supported her (with warm and caring smiles) the entire time.
My issue boils down to this: she is incredibly awkward. I am not being sarcastic when I tell you she has never been on a date, hasn't texted a boy (parents still haven't given her a real cell phone, only one of those old FreedomPop ones that use Wi-Fi for calls to pre-entered numbers like her parents), and really struggled to have friends growing up. She is a sweet kid and I love her to death. Her one semester at college was a struggle. She would not go to any ward activities because they stressed her out because she was afraid to miss out on her studies (not super intelligent but a hard worker), and then she had the hardest time with her roommates because she wants to go to bed at 8:00 every night and they are all teenaged girls living in a dorm at college. It wasn't a good experience for her even though it was at the "holier" BYU up in the frozen northern potato lands and was always supposed to be her dream.
So she struggles with making connections, cannot handle seemingly normal stresses, is a near scrupulosity-level obedient kid, needs a lot of alone time to focus and breathe, and has never been out on her own in any way really to spread her wings and fly. Her entire life has been looking forward to her mission where she thinks that she will finally show her worth that she felt she lacked comparatively to those she grew up with during all of their formative years. Now she is heading to a quickly drying-up area in Europe for her mission.
Help me! How can I talk to her? How can I actually prep her to soften the imact for the brick wall of hurt that is quickly approaching? My whole family is in the perpetual hype-cycle of "look at the amazing missionary you will be because you are so spiritual and unworldly compared to your heathen peers." I don't care about helping her out of the church-- in fact I think at this point that would cause more damage than anything possible could for her until she has a chance to grow and develop a good deal. I served as AP and then Zone leader both for over 18 months of my mission, and she reminds me of these two sets of sisters missionaries that struggled the most of everyone in my mission that I had to field calls from sometimes up to 3 times daily just to keep them afloat.
I literally have no one to turn to for guidance on this, and I love this kid so much.

Currently making my FNAF Timeline but I haven't been using a lot of years or times of events mainly because we don't know certain times and also because everything after UCN complicates the timeline, a lot, and a lot of that is because of the FF books. But I think I figured out the earliest possible time everything occurs and the correct order of when everything from UCN onwards happens.
In The Man in Room 1280, we know he wasn't there for longer than 10 years as Heracles Hospital only existed the last 10 years but we know he was there more than 1 year after FFPS. This means TMIR1280 can be anywhere from 2025 to 2033. After this story, the agony of Andrew infects tons of animatronics and toys. This includes Fetch, Ella, Plushtrap Chaser, and Foxy from Steo Closer. This means all 4 of those stories must be AFTER The Man In Room 1280 but when? Also, this story is in Fall.
Well, Fetch is our key here. Greg is 14 in this story and has never heard of Freddy's and he's been in this town since 1st grade with the Freddy's there already closed down. This means, at the very least, the place has been closed for 7 years. This isn't some old pizzeria though, it's one that opened after TMIR1280 as Fetch is there infected by Andrew meaning this story, at earliest, happens in 2032, and that's assuming these Freddy's locations lasted less than a year. The Ultimate Guide claims Fetch has in Freddy's for at least 10 years, so, I'm gonna say Freddy's was opened for 3 years after TMIR1280 and stayed shut the next 7 when Greg arrived. That would place Fetch, at earliest, in 2035 and, at most, in 2043. This story also takes place from November to January.
But it gets funner. In Fetch, we meet Jake McNally who some think is Jake from The Real Jake who becomes apart of the Stitchwraith. If this is true then Jake was 4 in Fetch and he's 9 in The Real Jake meaning 5 years have passed making the story take place in 2040 at the earliest and 2048 at the latest. This story is in Summer
Then there's the epilogues where Larson meets with Margie, the woman looking after Jake. Margie has been here for just over 3 years, in The Real Jake, Margoe was there for 3 years implying that the epilogues seem to take place the same year that The Real Jake ends. Meaning the Stitchwraith Stingers begin in 2040 at the earliest and 2048 at the latest. This means that the majority if the Stitchline must occur over the course of 2025 to 2040 or 2033-2048, meaning 15 years.
The rest of the stories are a little more ambiguous with time. The ball put has 30 years of Eleanor's victims within it and the earliest possible date of the Epilogues in 2040 meaning the earliest year Eleanor started her murders was 2010. The latest is 2048 meaning she would've started her murders in 2018, either way, Eleanor existed prior to FNAF 3 which makes sense as stories as Blackbird is revealed to be connected to Eleanor which is a story where the main characters remember Freddy's existed, not a new version of Freddy's like in Fetch, but the older version, likely 1993. Sam and Nole were kids when they went to Freddy's, now they're in college, so significant time has passed, a 17 year gap isn't impossible, so Bkackbird could be in 2010. Blackbird is also in Spring.
According the Graphic Novel, Into the Pit is in 2020.
To Be Beautiful takes place a week before the events of the first Stitchwarith Stinger, so 2040-2048. This story is also confirmed to happen in Winter.
Count the Ways is likely after the chain closes as Funtime Freddy in that story likely comes from the Circus Baby's in Dance with Me that is likely after Fazbear Entertainment started up meaning anywhere between 2025-2028 at the earliest is when Dance with Me happens, at the latest it's 2033-2036. This story is in Fall. Count the Ways must have Funtime Freddy in the scrapyard for ages, meaning the story probably happens around the time of Fetch where teens would remember Freddy's or Baby's. So, 2035 to 2040 or 2043 to 2048. This story happens in late December.
Stinger #2 seems to happen very soon after Out of Stock as I doubt the Plushtrap Chaser would just be sitting there destroyed for years until the epilogues meaning 2040-2048. The story is stated to be in late October.
1:35 AM has Phineas Taggart looking for Ella's energy telling us he already started his agony experiments and by the time of Stinger #3 he has Ella, so it has to be before that. Story is in Spring.
Step Closer's time period relative to the epilogues is unconfirmed but seeing how Freddy's is open at this time and by Fetch it's closed, it seems to be before Fetch, likely in the same time period as Dance with Me. Happens in August or September because of Homecoming.
Hide-And-Seek is the same as Step Closer, it's unclear the timeline but we know Freddy's is open, so likely in the same time period as Step Closer and Dance with Me. Story in Spring.
So, here's how the Timeline might be assuming the earliest years are correct.
Spring 2010: Blackbird
Summer 2020: Into the Pit
Fall 2025: The Man In Room 1280
August/Septmeber 2026: Step Closer
Fall 2026: Dance with Me
Spring 2027: Hide-and-Seek
November 2035-January 2036: Fetch
December 2036: Count the Ways

October 2040: Out of Stock (I'm assuming that the beginning of Stinger 2 is a flashback since of it isn't, that would imply that Larson waited months to talk to Margie after saying he'd take the case)

2041: The Rest of The Stingers Happen After
So, that's it huh? Most of the stories happen after FFPS and 15 years after TMIR1280 is when stuff from Help Wanted onwards happens. Well, there's still one problem.
Help Wanted heavily implies that this FE's first attempt to rebrand after FFPS, they hire a rogue indie dev to exclusively make games on the events that were "claimed" to happen up to 2023 and those are the only events they're trying to hide. This can't be after the Frights stories as by the end of the story it seems most people have forgotten about the stuff that happened back in the 80s as all that happened over half a century ago.
So, if Help Wanted is what started up the new FE then TMIR1280 must be after that as we see people working in the distribution center meaning it's operational. So, ignoring the Frights, when is the earliest that Help Wanted could happen?
Well, assuming that the company started right after FFPS burned to the ground and assuming Steve releases the FNAF games at the same rate Scott did which is likely as the third game gets finished after Velntine's day just like FNAF 3 in real life, that would mean the 3 indie games are finished by March of 2025, a decade after Scott finished his trilogy. Now, let's say that soon after they have the VR company start production of the game after that and that the game Help Wanted happens when the game released IRL then it would be May of 2026 when that happens. Then, directly after that FE starts back up which is when TMIR1280 takes place, a couple months later in Fall of 2026. This would place the ending of the Stitchline in 2042 at the earliest, essentially moving all the years I said earlier up by one.
Okay, so it's after Help Wanted and 15 years later is when the Stitchline ends and Tales begins, perfect. However, one of Special Delivery's unreleased emails tell us that in AR, Vanessa is 23. You have to at least 18 to be a beta tester, so, at the latest, AR has to be in 2031 which would place it 5 years before Fetch. Now, time does pass between AR and a Security Breach as we know the CDs are at least a year before the game starts as implied by GGY. However, over a decade and a half passing between them (as Security Breach can only happen in 2035, 2046, 2057, etc as shown by the calendars) is nuts, especially as that would make Vanessa 37 which I find unlikely.
This is simply impossible, the other option is that Security Breach happens during Frights which wouldn't make much sense with how few people seem familiar with Freddy's, you'd think someone would mention the Pizzaplex. It's also important to point out that Scott said Frights would fill in the blanks of the past while the games would go to the future. Basically, all the games after UCN need to be AFTER Frights.
This isn't THAT big of a problem considering that some people including Larson remembers Freddy's and the murders, so it's possible that Steve has heard of them as well.
So, going back to the original years I suggested, the minimum years, the Help Wanted story probably happens in 2042-2043 with Help Wanted the game taking place in May of 2044. Assuming Curse of Dreadbear is canon and that the DLC releases the same time both IRL and in continuity like seems to be the case with FNAF 1-3 then that happens in October of 2044. If we're still taking things literally then December of 2044 is when FE starts building the Pizzaplex as seen in the Christmas Update. This means that Security Breach, at the earliest, is in 2052 meaning 2047 is the latest the place opens.
This would mean Submechaphobia, Cleithrophobia, Under Cinstruction, HAPPS, and Pressure likely all happen in 2047. GGY happens less than 4 years into the Pizzaplex's lifespan meaning it takes place in 2050 or 2051 meaning that Vanessa likely didn't get hired as a guard until 2051. Assuming she was only 18 in VR, she would be 23 in 2049 which would be when AR takes place meaning in Security Breach she'd be 26 which is reasonable. AR being in 2049 makes the start of the therapy tapes in 2050 or 2051 and I think a year or 2 is enough time for Vanessa to get closer with Luis and Luis to switch from IT to Marketing Department.
During that from when Vanessa was hired to when Security Breach takes place would likely be when Bobbiedots happens, where the STAFF meeting resulting in the death of employees happens, and the replacement of the employees with STAFF Bots.
So, that's what I think, majority of the Frights take place from 2025 to 2041 with the all three indie games being made by Spring of 2043, Help Wanted happening in Spring of 2044, the Pizzaplex starts construction in December of that year, The Epilogues happen in 2046, The Pizzaplex opens in 2047, Several Talea Stories Happen In 2047, AR happens in 2049, GGY happens in 2050 or 2051, Vanessa becomes Security in 2051, and Security Breach happens in 2052.

College student applying for texas SNAP, and got denied.
Hi yall! So I got an email saying if I apply for SNAP by June 9th, I could get SNAP benefits under the temporary exemptions. My EFC =$0 and all that. I am also eligible for work study but at the moment I am not working.
I decided to apply and I got denied because I was going to school for 30+ hrs as to why I could not work.(never said that and tbh nearly impossible).I asked if I could send paperwork or proof and she let me know that she could see everything since she had my social so paperwork was not needed.
I ended up calling again to ask to appeal the case and they let me know to just apply again but will be denied AGAIN because i don’t have a child, expecting a child, disabled or employed.
Any advice on what I can do would be grateful.

I don’t really know if I’m being dramatic or not so I thought I would ask here. I never thought this situation was abuse because I was abused as a child and this was no where near as bad as that.
Basically I (21f) was in a relationship with my now ex (22m) for around 2 years. overall it was a pretty rocky relationship, especially towards the end as he was always breaking up with me and getting back together right when I had accepted it.
He tried convincing me I had a personality disorder and called my actions crazy a lot.
Once he put his hand around my throat and said ‘i could kill you right now and you would let me’
He cheated on me more times than I could count and would brag about it to me, then get angry with me for crying and would tell me I was dramatic.
He also sexted people when I was sitting next to him but tried telling me he was just being nice, even though I read the messages and he was telling this girl he wanted to help her masturbate.
He always said that the relationship was ending because of me, I didn’t listen enough, I didn’t fuck him enough, I liked him too much, I didn’t like him enough etc etc
The worst thing is probably how he would often try to force me to have sex with him even when I didn’t want to. Like he would be drunk and ask me to fuck him and when I said no he would grab my hand to try and force me. And sometimes he said that if I didn’t fuck him he would go find someone who would so I felt like I had to.
When I told my therapist about some of this she said that it was abuse, but I just feel so dramatic saying that bcs I was abused as a kid and this doesn’t feel as bad, and I know he loves me he just has mental health issues. I just wanted to ask here because i needed advice.

Are there any dental clinics that you know of who charge 5k per tooth for impacted wisdom tooth removals? I need to have 4 of them removed amd I don't have the money to shell out for that. So for starters I've been in IT for about 11 years holding all sorts of positions. Started in help desk, became a systems engineer and now I'm a level 2 system admin in a hospital.
Recently I completed a cyber security bootcamp and got my "cyber security professional" certification. Obviously I know that may not be enough to get a security job. So I'm lining up for sec+ in the next couple of months and I'm wondering about a few things.
I've always been wanting to get into this field. I started studying in college for it about 12-13 years ago, but never finished as I got a full-time job doing help desk at a tech company. So currently I hold no degree, have a load of IT experience and as of today my salary sits at about 83k.
Is it unreasonable for me to think with all that and sec+ under my belt that a company would take me in at let's say a SOC analyst type role or some sort of Cyber security engineering position somewhere near my salary? Or should I add on another certification? I understand I may to have to take a reduction but at some point too much is too much of a reduction.
I should note that I live in NJ so obviously salaries will be a bit higher here if I stay local. NYC commuting is out of the question unless it's remote, I'll never keep my sanity going through that traffic daily.

I have struggled for most of my life with chronic depression and anxiety, and recently diagnosed with BPD and OCPD.
I’ve tried many antidepressants, mood stabilizers, anxiolytics, and others over the years.
At the age of around 21, I settled for 75 mg of Zoloft for nearly 10 years.
Last year was the first year that I tried introducing some new antidepressants with no success.
The trial and error last year led to me, ending my six year relationship, in a very destructive way, and then a woman who has like a sister to me, passed away, and a tragic car accident.
The last six months have been absolute chaos, and I almost took my own life several times.
Long story short, I got back on Zoloft about eight weeks ago, and last Thursday took my first dose of 25 mg of Pristiq.
I’ve had a lot of bad luck with medication, which is why I’ve been so resistant and overly obsessed on researching side effects, long-term risk and literally talking myself out of every option before even trying.
This has been one week on Pristiq and I’m doing my best to just give it time and let go, knowing that I will never truly know if it works for me unless I try.
The first few days I had increased anxiety for sure, and I’m starting to notice a little bit of an appetite increase.
I’m still taking 75 mg of Zoloft as well, mainly because every time I get off Zoloft things get a lot worse.
I just want to document my journey and get some encouragement from others.
The main side effects of concern, our sexual side effects, weight gain, anxiety and agitation increase.
I’m staying optimistic and I’m not sure, but I am possibly seeing some slight relief.

So I have a grandmother who doesn't seem to like her life at the moment. She is in her late 80s and has a narcissist of a daughter, my mother, and a lazy-arse son, my uncle.
Both of us have never gotten on with my mother, the other day she called her up screaming about a new job for me that I wasn't interested in because I have an interview about a new music course I'm doing at a university coming up in about a month. I've also considered blocking her number on my grandmothers phone but she calls the home phone anyway and she won't have that disconnected because some guy that she's known for 30 or so years doesn't want to call her over her mobile phone.
My uncle on the other hand, while not as lazy as some of my family members might make him out to be, because he still will do chores if he needs to, he still is somewhat lazy, calling me up to come al the way downstairs to turn his TV off or something else. He is just too goddamn lazy to get his lazy-arse up out of bed and turn it off himself. He also drinks sometimes. It's nowhere near as bad as it used to be, he only has like 2 drinks per day now, but that's still enough to drive him silly. I'm very used to it, but my grandmother is just about sick to death of it.
All of this takes a toll on my grandmothers mental health, every time something bad like this happens, like an argument in the family, for example, she carries on about how shit her life is and how lonely she is. I've tried suggesting to her to talk to a counsellor, but she thinks she doesn't need to. She claims that she doesn't have any friends when she does have a few, but it's always the same old bullshit excuses of, 'oh, she only comes around to watch the football.' or, 'oh, they are only my bowling friends.' or, 'oh, he only calls up over the phone. You know, that such type of bullshit.
A few weeks ago, I called on a service called Lifeline, which is a counselling/therapy service. I reached a counsellor and shoved the phone into her hand, similar to what my uncle did with me when he called on a counsellor for me. They talked for over an hour, but the phone call conversation never had an effect on her, because just 2 days later, she was back at it again carrying on about how shit her life is and how fucking lonely she is. She thinks that I can't help her. I am her grandson. I desperately want to help her because I care about her, but if she is just going to reject my advice, and continue carrying on, then I've got nothing left to say to her. I'm already sick of her carrying on. I really desperately want to help her, but if she's just gonna reject my advice, then I can't help her. I don't know how to help her. Maybe it's that I just don't understand what the feeling of loneliness feels like. My uncle is moving out soon for a house to rent, and I'm thinking about moving in with him. I want to help her, but I can't anymore, and I am sick, almost to death of her carrying on.
So, am I the arsehole for ignoring my grandmother?.

Jesus and the Samaritan Woman
4 When Jesus knew that the Pharisees heard He was making and baptizing more disciples than John 2 (though Jesus Himself was not baptizing, but His disciples were), 3 He left Judea and went again to Galilee. 4 He had to travel through Samaria, 5 so He came to a town of Samaria called Sychar near the property that Jacob had given his son Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, worn out from His journey, sat down at the well. 7 A woman of Samaria came to draw water.
“Give Me a drink,” Jesus said to her, 8 for His disciples had gone into town to buy food.
9 “How is it that You, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” she asked Him. For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God, and who is saying to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would ask Him, and He would give you living water.”

25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will explain everything to us.”
26 “I am He,” Jesus told her, “the One speaking to you.”
The Ripened Harvest
27 Just then His disciples arrived, and they were amazed that He was talking with a woman. Yet no one said, “What do You want?” or “Why are You talking with her?”
28 Then the woman left her water jar, went into town, and told the men, 29 “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could this be the Messiah?” 30 They left the town and made their way to Him.
31 In the meantime the disciples kept urging Him, “Rabbi, eat something.”
32 But He said, “I have food to eat that you don’t know about.”
33 The disciples said to one another, “Could someone have brought Him something to eat?”
34 “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work,” Jesus told them. 35 “Don’t you say, ‘There are still four more months, then comes the harvest’? The Savior of the World
39 Now many Samaritans from that town believed in Him because of what the woman said when she testified, “He told me everything I ever did.” 40 Therefore, when the Samaritans came to Him, they asked Him to stay with them, and He stayed there two days. 41 Many more believed because of what He said. 42 And they told the woman, “We no longer believe because of what you said, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this really is the Savior of the world.”
A Galilean Welcome
43 After two days He left there for Galilee. 44 Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country. 45 When they entered Galilee, the Galileans welcomed Him because they had seen everything He did in Jerusalem during the festival. For they also had gone to the festival.

This is a long passage and there is alot to digest here. One big point that I don't think I caught onto before was verse 6. It really shows his full humanity which is immediately transitioned into his deity in the following verses. Additionally, what I found interesting was that the Samaritan woman leaves and she immediately goes to tell the men in the town what happened. She didn't go to the women to gossip and share, she immediately went to the decision makers of the time and even more so amazing was they believed her as shown in verse 42. The believed her and their belief was affirmed after meeting Jesus. In Luke 24:11 Mary was reporting the resurrection and the disciples did not believe them. This passage shows great faith not only in the Samaritan woman but in the Samaritan men as well and the willingness to follow Him.

Q2: How do you interpret verses 22 and 23? Is Jesus condemning the Samaritan practices and forgiving at the same time?
Q3: What does it mean to worship in Spirt and Truth?
Q4: Do you find yourself to be a sower or a reaper?
Q5: This one is mostly rhetorical and only provide a response if you feel led to it. The Samaritans were essentially shunned by the Jewish people and would intentionally take the long way to avoid Samaria, yet Jesus stayed with them two days. How are we spending time with those that society or even Christianity typically shuns?

Remember that little #menaretrash temper tantrum some women threw online a little while back where they just shit on and generalized men? And when they were call out on it they cried about male fragility and all that nonsense? And then a bunch of other women tried defending that shit saying the typical "It's not the same" bullshit response. Then, when some men started using #womenaretrash, OH HO, did hey not like that. Hypocrisy.
Oh, and never insinuate that a women could be bad at sex. "all women are awesome at sex!" is a comment I've heard quite a few times, both online and irl. Sorry, ladies, but there are just as many of you who suck in bed as there are men :( No, your presence is not nearly enough, no you do not "bring the table". I mean, Christ, You see all this shit about how men have to do better, well I say so do women. Some of them seem to be under the impression that they're all poor innocent oppressed victims (No one in the first world is oppressed, btw), and it's pathetic.
Clearly I could have presented this in a much longer, detailed format, with the post listing other than two gripes, but I honestly decided to type this up on a whim, plus these are the only two things that currently come to mind. Feel free to comment "incel" this and "misogyny" that for me making a general criticism of women, but, it's not going to change the point.

I always considered myself terrible at taking care of plants, but Iove of they look inside the house. I love nature and animals, but I'm very uncomfortable with some type of insects and things like rot and mold. This makes me sad because this often gets in the way of me being able to enjoy myself in some outdoor setting. Like, we have a nice and private outdoor space that I was SO excited for but almost never use because I feel uncomfortable seating on our outdoor furniture. I bought a very simple reclining chair because I thought I'd feel more comfortable with its simple design: just a metal frame and a see-through mesh, so no cushions or thick wood frame with cracks and nooks for crawlers to hide in. But the second time I went to use it, I saw a small spider crawling on the back, and now I haven't gone back out there and it's been weeks. It's not that I'm terrified, but I just... don't feel like dealing with it?
Anyway, few months ago, I got very excited at the idea of adding green plants to my house and I bought * hundreds * of dollars of indoor plants. And of course, I went against my better judgement and choose plants based on how they looked instead of how easy or hard they are to care for. I'm not super consistent with watering, but I downloaded a few apps to help me stay on top of it, and I've done much better than expected.
Except, that it's not good enough. I have overwater some plants and basically killed some others by placing them in spots that were too dark. I should have trusted my apps about insufficient light, but for some reason I couldn't believe that my new place still doesn't have amazing perfect light for plants because I went from a dark appartement to what * I * feel is a light-filled house with huge windows. The plants disagree.
The very first plant I ordered was pretty much dead on arrival. Either due to transportation conditions or due to spending an unknown number of hours right outside of my front door because I missed the delivery notification. I got store credit for the damaged plant and used it to order another plant (which was probably the beginning of the end). But I didn't feel right throwing away the almost-dead plant, so I stubbornly tried to save it. It is still alive, surprisingly, but it developed a gnat infestation that spread to the other plants in the house.
Then, a couple of days ago, just as I thought I had finally squashed the gnat infestation after MONTHS of efforts, I discovered that at least some of my plants are now infested with tiny red ants. Fine. I ordered new products to take care of that amd didn't let myself get too discouraged. Until today.
I have been using a tool to measure th amount of light in different spots in my house, and finally accepted that the window I was using for some of my plans did not have the appropriate light exposure for them. So I moved them to a different window next to what I thought what a plant that had been doing pretty well the whole time. Still, that plant had some yellow leaves that I decided to clean-up. I went to work at it, and by the time I just had a few dead leaves left to cut at the top of the plant, I was feeling pretty accomplished and proud of myself. That's when I discovered the thin webs. And the tiny mites crawling all over.
I just can't take it. That's my limit. I scrubbed my arms with soap like a crazy person, but I still feel like I have tiny mites crawling all over me. This is hitting at my contamination phobia (probably not a medical level phobia), and I know I cannot do what needs to be done to save the plant(s). I need to carry them outside and spay them with water, possibly repot them. I'm already low-key afraid of soil, but I just can't take the idea of hundreds of tiny little insects coming out of everywhere.
My husband asked if he should take over the plant care, but I don't even know anymore.
