I have been watching the episodes of the current season the last weeks and get disappointed more and more. I have watched every season before and even liked the one that gets the most hate (season 5). Since I have seen nearly no hate or bad reviews from others I will provide my thoughts, maybe you can change my mind.

-very bad dialogues -> most of the time the dialogues don't feel like what they should feel like, Morgan and Grace just seems flat without any love, generally i don't feel like it's the characters talking, sometimes they seem to have interest in things just to generate plot or give background info (f.e. moe interrogating Morgan about the names written on the wall in the houseboat, keep in mind for her this is a random house they just found and Morgan could maybe literally know nothing about, yet she keeps asking him about the names, therefore learning about his son and wife)
-characters behaving like they would never -> we have learned so far that Morgan has apparently betrayed his whole group just in order to safe Moe, most of the group seems to have joined PADRE but noone we have met so far enjoyed it, this reminds me of the situation with Virginia but this one is just written poorly, especially Dwight keeps mentioning how it reminds him of the saviours but nope they keep following
-biggest category that I cannot say enough about: THE NONSENSE THAT KEEPS HAPPENING -> Moe and Madison using construction hammers like they are as heavy as sticks, they keep picking them up and using them like they weigh nothing, clearly a prop so it is easier to handle
The cure to the virus has been found yet hardly mentioned, in one moment they want to kill each other and then they safe each other, Madison needing oxygen all the time yet sometimes running distances without even coughing, Morgan being at the location the whole show started although he is seen running away from there for months, Moe being 8 years old yet talking like a grown up and remembering scenes from when she was a few months old clearly and understands them, Dwights son overpowering Shrike with a chair although he should be weak because of radiation.

I could say alot more to all categories but I think I have made my point. I will keep watching the show because I want to know what will happen but from what I have seen it is no pleasure and I keep looking at the clock to know when it will end. I love the show but this season is putting it to the test.

So I am trying a different type of encounter then I usually run.
I have 5 players in a maze dungeon that they they have to get through to get to the bbeg of arc 1. In this dungeon the player 5 players have to find 4 gems and place them in the right order at the end of the maze. While they are in the maze there are 4 lightning golems that are chasing them.
Now comes the trick with the Golems....you can't destroy them. They regenerate after 1d4 turns. You can damage them to add a turn to the regeneration though. I made it like an old school horror movie with how Jason would just walk after the teens and could take damage and come back like nothing.

Through session 1 they have 2 gems and they are pretty hurt. The golems hit hard but their AC is only 9 with 93hp.

His House is a Netflix original film written and directed by Remi Weeks. It is about two Sudanese refugees, a husband and wife, who are fleeing conflict in their homeland and seek asylum in England.

I think this is one of my favorite horror movies...I was going to qualify this as "of the last X years," but I think it's just one of my favorites, period.

One of the reasons why I love horror, I think more than almost any other kind of story telling, is because you can write horror stories about anything. General audiences hear "horror" and they think "blood and guts" or "monsters" and so on, but the horror genre encompasses so much more than that. You can write horror stories in space or in the future or the past, they can be grounded in cold, gritty reality, or they can be magical realism, or they can be entirely fantastic. It's all on the table.

His House is a painfully human story about two people living with the ghosts of their past. Living with guilt - survivors guilt, guilt over things they did - coping with the horrors they witnessed, the tragedies...coping with coming to a new land and a new way of life. I was glad to watch a movie about characters who I wasn't entirely familiar with - I haven't seen many horror movies about immigrants or refugees, and I haven't seen very many movies about Africans at all. I love experiencing new people and their points of view of the world, and most of all, I love hearing their stories.

Everyone's acting in the film was just brilliant. And the ending was beautiful and cathartic and pitch perfect. Not an action, not a frame out of place.

I'm gushing, I'm sorry. I just loved His House. It was at turns scary and beautiful, depressing, and uplifting. It does what I think the best horror stories do: tell a story about people who the writers care about. I think some of the things you miss in a horror movie that just feels so-so is you get the sense that the writer or director didn't like the characters, or doesn't like people. Not so, not so, in His House. And that's what I think I liked most of all. What a great movie.

So my relationship has been going thru things in the last 3 weeks. And on my arrival home after shenanigans at a fest and partner on tour.

9. We can discuss any topic you find interesting because even if I know nothing about it, I love to learn.
   
10. I’ve been told by a few sources that I have a nice voice. 10a. I don’t necessarily believe them but your mileage may vary. 10b. But if you do wind up believing it yourself, I can read to you and stuff?
    
11. You like books? Let’s talk about books all day long, I was just reading the ASOIF series again but some of my other favorites are the Invincible comics and East of Eden.
    
12. I will be your biggest fan and give you lots of support.
    
13. I can make us tea whenever you want. Got a cupboard full of the stuff. Personal favorites include Oolong, Lapsang Souchong, and Darjeeling.
    
14. My schedule is almost completely flexible. Wanna watch a movie at 2am? Let’s do it. Wanna play a game for 8 hours straight? Sure.
    
15. Got tech problems? There’s like an 87% chance that I can at least somewhat help.
    
16. I’m running out of reasons but gosh darn it, I never let that stop me before. So. I’m persistent? Is that a plus?

me and this person met through a shared club at school. even though theyre two years older than me we got around to talking and hanging out a lot. i was attracted to them both psychically and a little romantically but then they told me they were aromantic, so i put aside my feelings. they were however not asexual and eventually we started doing stuff. our relationship has grown since then and it's basically a friends with benefits situation.
i am not the only one they do this stuff with though and they have made that very clear. im jealous even though i don't really have a right to be. i cant help but still feel a little romanticly towards them. we do everything a romantic couple does like cuddling, kissing, holding hands etc. never in public though. we hang out together and i think only like 75% of the time we end up doing stuff but the other 25% when we hang out we just cuddle and watch movies and eat food like a normal couple would. agin, another problem is that they do this stuff with their best friend too (who i think is also aro but i'm not sure)
i don't know what to do about my feelings. on one hand, i enjoy our relationship and even if we end up not doing stuff in the future i still want to keep our friendship but i feel like it would be awkward. on the other hand, i hate the idea of them being with other people sexually and my jealousy is getting the better of me.
also to mention they have a problem with their friends leaving them and i don't want to be one of those people who hurt them, but i also don't know if i can keep this friendship the way it is. it's making me feel depressed.
i've been hoping that since it's summer we won't see each other as often and i want us to drift apart naturally but that also feels mean to them.
TLDR: complicated fwb situation because they're aromantic and i have feelings for them.

I went out to watch Spiderman: Across the Universe with my fiance and asked for a closed caption device for the very first time but for the whole movie, it just stayed saying "Doremi Captiview ready" and I was way too anxious to go out and contact an amc worker for assistance so I ended up not being able to understand several scenes of the movies where I couldn't understand what someone was saying 😭😭😭 like...why would the device stay that way? Is there some machine or program in the theater room above the audience that's supposed to beam a signal to any Captiview devices but they didn't even turn that on or sumn??? 😭😭

I'm thinking about cancelling my 15 year old Netflix account because of the new single-household restriction. The only problem is that my parents use the account to watch Netflix's Nigerian movie collection. Does anyone know other convenient streaming services with strong Nigerian movie collections? Would like to avoid going back to Youtube or anything illegal if possible.

Hey everybody! There are a few different ways you can go about doing something like this and I tossed around a few ideas, but I settled on this. In lieu of an essay describing myself and what I’m looking for, I decided I’d write up a little list with the most compelling reasons I could think of as to why you might wanna date me. Hi, I recently got into Spiderman and I need help finding comics I can enjoy. Ive never read any comics at all, just watched the movies, and I feel a bit lost since theres so much content I dont know where to start searching haha. So I’ve been going down the rabbit hole after coming out of watching Across the Spider-Verse in theaters, and am so insanely excited for what Beyond could bring us. I’m dumping a lot out here around Miles G. Morales, and am curious what everyone else is thinking.

Knowing that this is supposed to be the final film in a trilogy, it makes constructing theories a bit easier, because you can’t really leave loose threads. In my mind, they have to reconcile Gwen & Miles relationship (prove that Gwen & Spider-Man can work out), we need to find out if Miles can save his dad, The Spot has to be defeated, Miles has to overcome Spider-Man 2099’s opposition to him saving his father, and Miles has to get back to his reality. I’m sure I’m missing some stuff, but that’s the gist of what I’m thinking about when making these predictions.
I’m also curious what Beyond will mean in the title. With Into we got the intro into the Spider-Verse with a little taste. Across essentially opened us up to all of what’s in the Spider-Verse. I’d imagine Beyond will show us something outside the known Spider-Verse (whether Master Weaver playing some kind of role, a cross into live action world for Miles, or something else that expands the Spider-Verse beyond what we already know).
So with that, the predictions!

Each movie thus far has opened with a scene designed to introduce us more to a character and give us more backstory on the multiverse, and then a closing scene that mirrors the opening but with some kind of growth. Into the Spider-Verse introduced us to Spider-Man and provided the guidelines for similarities (canon) between all of the Spider-people, and closed with Miles Morales introducing himself finally as Spider-Man with his own twist on the structure provided earlier. Across the Spider-Verse opened with Gwen struggling to fit in with her band and quitting (along with a lot of stuff about her father and the multiverse), and closed with her forming a new band and repairing the relationship with her father. Since we’ve already been introduced to a lot of the characters we have now, I think the intro to Beyond the Spider-Verse is most likely to feature one of two people: Spider-Man 2099 (maybe) or Miles G. Morales (most likely). And, I think that we’ll close with our Miles recapping and talking about how the Spider-Verse is back in balance.
Spider-Man 2099 got quite a bit of background in Across the Spider-Verse, but it did feel like there could be a lot more to his story, and the opening could certainly be used to set him up as the true antagonist that Miles has to overcome rather than The Spot (not in a villainous way – though... maybe – but rather in as an obstacle to saving his father and the Spider-Verse).
I think that the opening scene will feature Miles G. Morales’ backstory to how he became Prowler in part due to, or because of, his father’s death. I think the major conflict on Earth 42 will be against the Sinister Six as opposed to Prowler Miles. Across the Spider-Verse made a point to mention the villainous group and highlighted their influence on everyone's lives (the curfew going into effect). It would make sense that Miles G.’s father was likely killed by a member of the Sinister Six, and that Miles as Prowler would be working in the shadows to get back at them rather than with them. In Into the Spider-Verse, the movie ends with Miles telling the audience that anyone can wear the mask. I think that they’ll use Earth 42 as a way to show that you don’t have to be a Spider-Man, or have a Spider-Man, to be a hero. In a sense, that anyone can put on the “mask” and be a superhero for their community.
Obviously with that, I think that Prowler Miles is still a “good guy” on Earth 42. If tying someone to a boxing bag makes them villainous, then our Miles would be villainous just the same since he did the same thing to Spider-Man in his universe. I think the main difference between the two Miles will be how dark & hardened Miles G. is rather than good vs. evil. When Miles was first introduced to Spider-Man as another Spider-Man, his colors shifted from green & purple (the colors of Prowler) to red & blue (the colors of Spider-Man). With hindsight, I think this was clearly meant to show that our Miles was originally intended, at least in some way, to be Prowler in the 1610 universe. While 42’s Miles, as we know, was originally intended to be Spider-Man but became Prowler instead, I don’t think that would have shifted the side he’d be fighting on. I think that’s why you still see red & blue colors & lighting (the influence of Spider-Man) in Aaron’s apartment despite Miles G.’s shift to Prowler.
Don’t have much to go on here, but I also think that the heroes will learn something, I’m not sure what yet, about how canon events work, and why Gwen’s dad was saved with causing catastrophe while on Earth 42. That feels like the most likely conclusion to their time here with The Spot presented as such a big multiverse threat. They likely have to take something from their time on 42 to convince Miguel that Miles’ father can be saved and perhaps there are ways to change canon.
I would imagine we’ll see Gwen & Miles reconcile while on 42, and will likely also see some closure between our Miles and Aaron. For one of my more out-there predictions, I think this will set up one of the biggest moments in the movie, with Prowler Miles getting some closure by playing a part in saving our Miles’ father towards the end.
I also think there’s more to Miguel’s backstory, but more so think he’ll be tied to Master Weaver as opposed to an Inheritor or Morlun. Even before setting up the Spider Society, Miguel had the ability to travel dimensions, and in the comics, that ability comes from the Master Weaver so perhaps he got that technology from them. Being that the Master Weaver is more of a mantle rather than a person, I think we’re headed for their introduction in the third movie with someone taking up the mantle by the end, perhaps Miles, Gwen, or Miguel.

I’ve been on fluoxetine for years. When I was first put on meds, I had described to my doctor that I had obsessive thoughts and for years the meds helped with that, though doc just chalked it up to depression/anxiety.
My doc retired so I see another one in the office. I had an appointment today to discuss increasing my meds because I don’t feel as if I have good control over my obsessive thoughts anymore. He talked to me about triggers and compulsive behaviors. For example, I have NAFLD and have to stop eating a lot of foods and I have to exercise. I’m a compulsive over-eater, so restricting has thrown me in what I’m calling a compulsive loop: restrict, obsess, compulsively over eat, obsess, restrict, compulsively buy workout equipment that goes untouched….rinse and repeat.
Another example is with my writing. I have trouble focusing if conditions aren’t met. For example: sit down to write, can’t write, organize files, still can’t write, organize space around me, still can’t write, read books on how to be a better writer (despite having a degree in creative writing and English), buy better computer, still can’t write, organize files again, rearrange room, can’t write, move office to completely different room….rinse repeat.
It’s like the conditions I’m looking for in order to be successful in something are never met and I just keep searching and searching for that perfect setup or perfect plan.
Additionally (and I didn’t tell my doctor this) I like to outline/trace patterns in my mind. So, when I’m watching TV or sitting in a lobby, in my mind I’ll trace out the outline of a room (in a certain pattern) and count the number of lines. Sometimes I’ll do all walls, other times I’ll repeat the same wall. Or I’ll count…I like to count the little number lines on a digital clock, but in a certain pattern. I’m so used to doing these things that I do them while holding conversations easily and no one ever knows it’s even happening.
Anyway…sorry for the long post. My doc suggested counseling and I’m wondering if it would be wise to do so, so I can learn more about these behaviors since they don’t seem to be your typical “check door knobs or wash hands repeatedly” type compulsions you usually read about with OCD. I don’t want to be one of those persons who toss around OCD like it’s candy, but since my doc discussed it I’m wondering if it really is there.

Does anyone know whether there is an imax 3d somewhere in preferably Europe where they show old imax 3d documentaries ? I used to watch them with my mom in Germany as a kid and I wish I could go watch one again (for instance New York 3d). There is one in Sinsheim but they Switched to Laser imax and they show new movies apparently , then there is one in London and apparently they have laser imax and 70mm imax but the current movies they are showing don’t suggest that …does any know more about it?
