I was fired in 2020 due to being late during work from home. I was caught twice being late and fired with only one verbal warning. That’s the reason, but also my boss and I were not getting along as she felt threatened by me, her director wanted to groom me for management, and they didn’t have any better options, although I was by far the youngest and newest in the department.
The department director who had been with the company for 45 years was fired a few months before I was due to something about an argument with an employee.
The official reason on paperwork was “termination due to elimination of job role” which makes me look like a low performer which I was not. I was in a toxic department with a very toxic micromanaging gossipy manager and had just graduated college in March 2020 and had been looking for a new role for months and struggling badly with mental health and it was the pandemic.
I was out of work for one month, let go in December and started a new role in February.
So what do I say on applications? Like I said the official reason on paperwork was that my role was eliminated (it wasn’t), the reason they said was because I was late twice (I don’t think my manger told them I only had one verbal warning which was “don’t be late”, and others were late all the time), and the real reason was my boss didn’t like me.

Hello! To whom ever is reading this post, it’s very nice to meet you. A little bit about me:
Career:
I recently got out of military on the active duty side after serving 10 years, during that time I was a Canine Handler, so I’m a very big dog lover (I also like cats too haha), but now currently in the Military Reserves as well a marketing head representative for Verizon Wireless.
Things I Like To Do:
I enjoy road-trips, the outdoors, hiking, cooking, music (all genres), drawing, working out, and movies (especially horror). Lastly I don’t mind being a home body and enjoying the day with someone either doing an activity together, curled up on the couch binge watching a show, or hell even cleaning the house together while we dance listening to music.
Goals:
Working on plans to go to school full time for a degree in architecture or criminal justice. Also getting into business with my buddy to be a dog trainer.

Someone who can hold a conversation and doesn’t talk for just one or two days then just ghosts you (not trying to be rude but being blunt because there is a lot of people both men and women that do this on Reddit, if you are too busy to where you can’t send a few texts daily, or at least have the courtesy to communicate what’s going and that we will chat later that day and actually keep your word. I would type out the whole background and story for context but I know it is too long and y’all don’t want to read that lol
I am in Ontario, Canada and work in a media based job as a production coordinator. The role is newly created and I have been in this role for almost a year.
About 6 months in, I had to take a mental health week as recommended by my therapist because of how unreasonable, pushy, nit picky, and horrible my manager was being. HR had to get involved as I had to send them my therapists note to be able to take my mental health week and my manager was talked to and I thought things were going to get better.
Fast forward to now, I just had my Q3 review this past week. My manager has gaslit me into thinking I have poor communication skills, while making excuses for my team members who actually don’t tell me anything and leave me off important emails and meetings pertaining to projects I am a coordinator on, but she also is telling me I ask to many questions and has fostered an environment in which I am so fearful of making a mistake, reaching out for help, or asking a question.
She submitted her feedback for my review without me actually seeing it first and what she told me for our review meeting was not even what was actually written out on my review that got submitted to HR.
She wrote blatant lies about me, saying I have poor work ethic, cause misunderstandings, delay projects, over communicate and waste peoples time but also I don’t communicate enough, I have not memorized product knowledge, the work I produce is bad, I can’t be trusted to get projects done, etc etc etc.
This is not at all what was told to me in the meeting and it’s not true at all. I have not received any positive feedback in my time in this role and I feel like I have done an excellent job mastering it and I have never had a project be delayed, I follow up with every single person I work with, I ensure information is delivered in a timely manner and I ask questions when it is something I haven’t done before and I am afraid to make a mistake because of the way my manager is.
I did disclose my ADHD and anxiety before my mental health leave and expressed the kind of communication I require and how asking questions and having peers look over things when I do something new the first few times is essential to my learning style. She is now using this against me and making me look horrible when I talked to colleagues outside of my department who were asked to submit feedback for me and it was all positive and nowhere near what the “feedback from my peers” was on the review submitted.
I like the job, the work, the company, the pay, the benefits but my manager is so clearly trying to fire me because she got in trouble from HR. Now she has submitted a formal review full of lies and misinformation to build a case to fire me with cause and I don’t know what to do. The job market is rough as it is and I have been working so hard and suffering with my mental health so much this last year because of my managers actions and she is only making things worse.
What can I do? Do I have any way to fight the lies? I feel she is discriminating against me for my mental health and she even used language in my feedback saying that I “get inside of my own head and assume things like my manager is mad at me when she is not” weaponizing a conversation about my mental health that I had with her after I came back from my break.
Help? I don’t want to have to quit but I can’t work with her she is making me so miserable.

So I have a LTD company and I am the director. My wife is a shareholder and gets a salary from me. I owe my Mum £1000 per month but because she already has a £40k job it wouldn't be tax efficient. Can I pay a salary to my wife's mum (who is unemployed) and she can then pay that to my Mum via standing order. Is this legal? thanks in advance :)

Hey guys, I want to get into reviewing pads as I have been collecting and using them for years now. I received this pad from Gamesense to help with feedback and I am allowed to make a review on it! This will not affect my opinions, and I would have been perfectly ok with purchasing the pad up front or afterwords to make this review :)

I want to get straight into the meat of this pad so specs and details will be at the end ->

The Sonar: aka the balance glass pad. In the age of speed, where aimers crave light weight, less friction, more speed and raw aim, this pad comes as a breath of fresh air.
While this statement may come across as a little controversial, I think it is excellent that Gamesense is bringing something different to the market than another speed pad. Do not let this fool you into thinking this a slow pad however, as it is still made of glass, and provides that low initial/static friction that glass pads are synonymous with.
What is does bring, is control in the form of dynamic friction and stopping power. Comparing this pad to Skypad 2.0 and 3.0 is has quite a different surface. Not necessarily to the feel, as by hand it is closer to the Skypad 3.0 surface.
But in terms of its feeling through the mouse is where this pad sets itself apart. Where the Skypad can feel like my mouse is floating and gliding, I feel locked in on this surface. As if my mouse is ON the surface, not merely gliding over it.
This gives an initial feeling of almost roughness through the mouse skates, similar to a an almost Hien like feedback. This is a feeling that lessons over time and I feel as though the pad does have a small break in period, of a few days or a week.
Once past this, the micro corrections inherit the glass pad property of being in your control, light and low friction. The beauty of this pad comes into its sweeps, tracking and flicks. It stops on a dime, which seems as though it contradicts its low initial friction, but in practice does not.
I find it most prevalent on a 75 degree or more flick, where I quickly swipe my mouse and lock into the target, something in which I struggle with on the Skypad due to its incredibly fast and smooth nature. In this way, during fast movements, the Sonar acts as a sort of controlled pad, which not inheriting the muddy or inconsistent nature of a plush cloth pad.
This means on every motion I get the same, unchanging experience. Flick-stop, flick-stop, switch-switch-switch.
Lets talk about tracking. I have been playing less tracking heavy games of late (CS and Valorant), but just to test this aspect of the pad I have done some tracking sessions in Kovaak's. While my previous comments have indicated that the strong suit of this pad is its controlled stopping power, that does not mean it is bad at tracking by any means.
Most tracking consists of smooth, slower motion, prioritizing accuracy instead of speedy target acquisition. Here once again the pad excels. With the exception of a truly speed based cloth pad(Artisan Raiden for example) the tracking offered by this pad is well inline with fast hybrid offerings.
I would not say it is "as good" at tracking as a Skypad, IF you have immaculate mouse control or crave a friction-less experience. I think for everyone but the speediest of demons, this pad offers a level of tracking far beyond their own capabilities, and will not be a hard ceiling to their mouse control skill.

Final overall thoughts regarding the pad:
Things I like
I like the design of both this pad and the regular black version. I think it offers something unique and eye pleasing, which I think is important in a pad. I prefer a simple design, with well thought out colors, and I think both variants of this pad accomplish that goal. The collectors edition Minwah of Pearl some might consider garish, but I find to be quite enjoyable as it reminds me of a blanket you might find on the spare bed of your grandmothers house.
I like the control this pad offers in static and flicking type aiming. It gives me a sense of control over my mouse, while not hand holding as much as a control cloth pad.
Also the size of this pad feels great, while being 500x400 the vertical space is sufficient, somehow it feels like there is so much space horizontally, even for the low sense players. With the rounded edges it also feels very comfortable on the arm and does not cause any discomfort.

Things I don't like
The design implementation: while I do like the actual design, the way it is implemented on the glass leaves a close up feels a little blurry, and some of the characters having a sort of cloudy outline. I believe this is the case with ALL glass pad designs, as the print must shine through the surface, and it is more of a minor nitpick.
Initial Feeling: my first impressions of this pad I thought my mouse skates would start deteriorating like going over a cheese grater. It felt extremely abrasive on the mouse skates for a few day until breaking in. I believe this feeling is due to the bead blast surface, and what is in fact what gives the pad its control.
I have gotten used to it, but it did leave me a little wary at first that my skates would quickly degrade(which is common with glass pads)
My last gripe is consistent across all glass pads I have used and that is it feels terrible once I start to sweat. I live in a pretty humid environment, and my AC doesn't run full blast all the time. So during extended session as I start to warm up and build a little sweat, I just stick to this pad. However, I have experienced this with all glass pads so I won't count it against it.

Overall I enjoyed my experience with this pad. It is the most enjoyable glass pad I have used yet, especially since I don't hone my mouse control as some users, and prefer a little control in my life, even with my cloth pads. This pad fit well into my repertoire, and did not hold me back even after switching to it immediately. After the break in period, the pad does speed up a little, losing some of that "grating" feel.
All in all I would recommend this pad for any game, it offers something for all scenarios, and really lets the user decide what level of control they have over it. If you are a cloth pad user and have been looking to move to a hard surface, I would recommend this pad over Skypad, unless you are sure your mouse control would not hold you back for a significant amount of time.
My own personal opinion is that glass pads are diminishing returns, and most gamers would benefit more from coaching or vod review if they are looking to up their game, but this pad is more inline with purchasing a pad to fit your need, especially if you hate cleaning or wearing out your cloth pad.

The whole "first there's sour, then there's sweet" marketing campaign is a total rip-off of "respect the pouch." What's weirder is that ever since Sour Patch Kids started that up I've rarely even come across any Capri-Sun commercials. It's like they don't even air in the US anymore and you have to hunt for Capri-Sun in stores. I never see SPK using the same advertising technique as CS get brought up. And I never hear it get mentioned that Capri-Sun went from a beloved children's beverage to at the back of the shelf, totally decreasing in popularity, while Sour Patch Kids continues to soar and dominate - either. Does anyone else see this? It's brutal. Painful.

Mom has been in assisted living for 10 years and on Medicaid - the market where her home is has picked up and now it’s possible we could rent out the house to cover private pay - that rent plus her SS.
We could now get her in a nicer facility. Maybe.
So what about this scenario…

• Take mom off medicaid
• Move her close to home (only remaining family) on west coast from east coast
• Sell remaining interest in to me (I’m already on deed)
• I then operate the home as a long term rental
• Get her in new private ALF and hope to gosh she does not need memory care in next five years incase we need to reapply.

Does medicare care what happens when you are no longer on medicare?
What if someone comes off medicare and wins the lottery? Will medicare come after for prior provided services. Or does that only happen at probate time at death?
I know the question of fiduciary responsibility and related risk will come up here, rest assured I’ve been the sole person responsible for maintaining her eligibility, her home, clothing, meds shortfall bills and for her for over a decade - that’s not going to change. Looking to get out of the medicaid system, into private pay, better living situation and closer to her only remaining family.
