Took Step 1 today and it felt like pulling teeth.

I did all of amboss and 60% of UWorld. Friend told me it was “virtually impossible” for me to fail, but I guessed on a solid 60% of my questions today.
Anyone else feel terrible about their step attempt and it worked out? Should I just keep studying in case I need to go for another attempt?
Also, my advice to anyone taking step in the future, don’t let practice questions make you feel comfortable. Just venting, need a drink now.

In 2013 I moved to NYC with big dreams of making it somehow, someway, in something. I knew nobody, had no connections, my English was good but not great and I had never before started a company of any kind.
Company 1: in 2014 I launched Beyond Neutral it was an organic cold pressed alkaline forming line of fresh juices (when juicing was a real trend). Our problems were: 1. Saturated market 2. Short shelf life 3. Some were high in sugar 4. Needed refrigeration 5. Pricey
Company 2: In 2015 we pivoted to Shotco. A line of organic shots. Meant to be taken at diftimes of day like a vitamin. These shots solved many of our previous problems but they created one big one. At the time it wa only us and maybe 2 other companies, we were going to need to do a lot of consumer education. We raised a 6 figure seed round but ultimately after 2+ years we shut down the company.
Company 3: 4 Months before Covid hit I had this idea to eliminate single use cups in coffee shops. The idea was a cup that would connect to an app, you would pre order your coffee, and the barista could scan and make your desired cup. I raised a small pre seed of 50k, found a manufacturer in China but right then Covid hit and we hit a wall. Our biggest issue was that coffee shops would not under any circumstance accept cups from outside and China was a big issue as well. Bye Bye coffee business.
Company 4: This was more of a little side project, Lettair was a way to write someone a lettair online and we would create and mail the actual thing on your behalf. Bad idea, bad execution, i shut it down pretty quickly.
Company 5: 2021: Wilder a marketplace for booking outdoor guides. This was crazy, I managed to get a decent amount of hype with people who wanted to join the company, people who wanted to invest and I was able to create a waitlist of a few hundred ppl before we even launched. however within a few months (as we were building) my cofounder left unexpectedly (family issues was the official story) and after that everything kinda dissolved fairly quickly with a couple of months. The momentum, the hype, the inertia, all gone.
Company 6: 2023, I reconnected with a childhood friend who I hadn’t talked to in a longtime. We had a long conversation and at the end decided to both make a list of potential idea we would like to work on. Which is how The Woof was born. While its still early we are both really into it, enjoying what we are dong, enjoying working together and solving problems and learning how we grow & scale. So far we are happy with our progress and hope we can hit our end year goal.
Conclusion: While I still do not have that fairytale ending (yet) I never let my failures dissuade me from trying again, learning my lessons and improving. Dont listen to all the overnight success stories you see on social media they are either lies or outliers. Most of the entrepreneurs I know and have chatted to have taken the long hard road. If you fail 3 times, you get up 4 times. Dont let the fact that it didn’t go your way today, stop you from trying tomorrow, that's it.

I have a long checklist in my notes app that I use as a daily to-do list. Occasionally, there are some random formatting bugs. The “Iener al:” actually says “General:” in the heading format, and the next line’s “Book” does not have the “B” bolder. Another issue is that sometimes the checklist’s bubble will disappear for a specific line, but it’s not actually gone. The line is formatted as if there is a bubble, but it’s just invisible. If I try to add a bubble to that line, the formatting returns to a default line, and if I then add a bubble again, the line above it actually loses its bubble!

I am not a tech wizard by any means, but I feel as if this sounds like a cache issue. Could this possibly be it? How can I resolve this issue from happening again in the future? Should I just create a new note and delete this one? Thanks

Hello everyone I was wondering if it was okay to cancel this drop in booking because of events that happened that are making me uncomfortable. It’s a long story so bare with me.
I got this crazy request of $949 a week to drop in 3 times a day for two dogs. The owner said it may be a 3 week thing and I had nothing going on so I took the booking. The meet and greet was very brief because the dog owner wasn’t there and he was in the hospital so his assistant was the one who booked me. She had me meet his girlfriend who was at the house instead. She showed me the dogs and everything went smooth, she told me he was in the hospital and needed help with the dogs.
Fast forward to Monday I sent her a picture of the dogs to update how they’re doing and she calls me and tells me since I’m at the house I can bring the owner a few things to him at the hospital. Then they just suddenly started giving me instructions on what to bring him because his assistant was in California and not able to come back down to bring them to him.
I was bombarded with so many instructions about what I should bring him like his check books and laptop. The next day I spent 40 minutes driving to the hospital he was in and brought him his things. He let me know he would pay me the next day when I bring him another list of things.
I was confused because I thought I was just going to get him a few things only for today. But he was so sick in bed so I felt really sad for him. I went back to his house to get the rest of the stuff for the next day.
Fast forward to the next day he called me again asking for even MORE things. He asked me to buy him two Taco Bell chicken burritos, 6 pack of mini diet sodas too. I obliged since I thought I would be getting paid for that. For everything in fact. It took me 40 minutes to drive to the hospital and to drive another 40 minutes back home. He let me know that he’d pay me for everything I brought him. Also he didn’t even eat the other burrito I bought him and only drank one soda out of the 6 I purchased for him that he asked for. I still haven’t received any sort of compensation for the things that I brought him and the time it took. He didn’t even look sick anymore he looked so much better than how I saw him. When I arrived he spent like 5 minutes talking with the nurse flirting while I was just standing there with all his things. I had my sister help me because he asked for so much. He asked me for all the paper work on his desk that I had to haul inside in an empty Amazon box, 3 check books, his wallet, a bag of all his clothes, the food I brought him, and a pillow he keeps for his back.
The assistant also asked me to take pictures of really important legal documents and send them to her.. Now being asked all of these things and not getting paid for any of it I was extremely uncomfortable.. even before I was uncomfortable.. I’m only 18 years old being asked to bring some man 40 minutes away important documents, food, laptops, etc when I’m only supposed to be taking care of his dogs.
Since I didn’t get paid for the things I did for them, I decided to cancel the entire bookings because he told me he would need me again in a few days. I also really just don’t feel comfortable continuing to work with them. What do you guys think? Should I do anything else?
Since I’m canceling I’m also afraid they’ll leave me a bad review that I didn’t want to keep working with them for the 3 weeks she needed that she told me about.

My sis got her hair done today. Looks great! She got a double process they bleached her, then put color in and blew her out. No foils were used. When she came home she said she paid much more than I always pay so I called back to get breakdown of the price because I'm assuming they overcharged her. This was the break down of the price

When I called to question they were so confusing, not making sense. The stylist got on the phone and said she needed to use 5 tubes of color which is why she was charged $85 for color. 5 tubes?..... my sisters hair is above her shoulders. But also, since when do salons charge per tube of color? So I think they ripped her off.
The stylist did a great job and she was tipped adequately but it's not about that. I understand if this was high end salon or even if they raised their prices recently but then just say that. The breakdown still doesn't make sense.

Hi all, just went to check my TRS and was a bit disappointed with what I found.
My plan is to quit the NHS in 2026 and start withdrawing my my pension 12 years earlier than SPA (incurring 55.4% actuarial reduction). Let's assume SPA is 68.
Inputting my figures into the early retirement calculator, I'm getting my a retirement pension of £2659.56. If I were to retire at SPA, it sets my pension at £4345.68.
Whoa. I'm assuming they mean £4345.68 at current value? Even then, it's still pretty terrible considering what I've put in. Assuming I get 15 years of that, that's just 15x£4345.68=£65185.2 in current terms. I know it gets uplifted by CPI, but I don't think it's relevant to my calculations. It does mean £4345.68 in current terms and NOT when I'm 68 right? That would make zero sense to me.

If you assume inflation is gonna be 3% per year on average, £65185 is gonna be £194592.60. That's assuming ETFs beat inflation by just 3% in the long term, pretty damn conservative.
Am I wrong? Please tell me I am. I get that it's inflation resistant/uncorrelated to the stock market but is that all the 2015 NHS pension is? That's kinda deflating tbh.

I (39M) had to leave the country for a work trip and literally not 5 hours into checking into the hotel, wife (39F) calls, roughly 6 AM here, and splits on me. She's devaluing me and dumping all these accusations on me and how I've given her this trauma. No idea I had this coming and unfortunately couldn't set the record function on phone.
Basically she goes off on how I supposedly mistreat her our whole relationship and she wonders why I haven't left them yet. Claiming I never initiated any phone calls to her while on work trips in the past, which isn't true. I try to defend and explain how that isn't true but she isn't hearing any of it. Says I mistreated her while she stayed home alone with no-one to talk to. She goes on about how ever since my stepmother came over one day and asked her if she was schizophrenic that I've been treating her differently and keeping our daughter (4F) away from her, not true as she's the one avoiding us. How I've slept on the couch and created drama, which she made me do ironically when she would split heavy on me and start call me every name in the book in front of our daughter.
She continues to claim I was on dating sites and talking to someone on the playstation too. That one is always funny to me as I never talked to anyone on playstation and she has access to the history on it. She's also the one who hopped on dating sites after our relationship to try and date women, when she wanted to open up the relationship because she had so much love to give and crap. Only thing I did do was not delete my old dating app when we started dating. After she made it an issue one night, I immediately deleted it and never looked back at any sites. But she vehemently claims I've been on several since. Just can't win this argument at all.
She claims she remembers all our conversations perfectly and knows I'll just deny or say I forgot. Well, I do forget conversations, I know my memory is crappy in the regard but I also know she forgets things I tell her constantly. She brings up past conversations where she read too much into them and holds them against me. One was where she suspected and asked me if I was gay and if I'd ever turn gay in the future. I had told her no, I was not gay but I can't claim to know about the future. I explained to her that asking me if I'll turn gay in the future is like asking me if there'll be a tornado or not next year, I have no way of knowing so I won't say yes or no to such a question. Well, she moves on seeing she can't argue with me on that one again.
Another situation she brings up is about how she suspected something happened to our child in child care one time and brought it up to my attention. She claims I just told her our kid is ok and then turned back to play a game. I don't recall this interaction at all but she uses it to justify how I don't listen to her or how I'm supposedly ignoring the well being of our child. Mind you, I've been the one handling our child's healthcare, school, therapy, meals, mornings, bedtime, and playing with her. Shoot, I checked our indoor security camera the day after this call, which she made me install in the house due to some paranoia about people following her home, and she's upstairs watching tv or something while our daughters been downstairs all day watching cartoons. Her grandmother offered to take her to the zoo or someplace today but my wife is choosing to ignore it.
She goes on and tells me about how she thinks I'm a conniving liar and even my family is out to get her. This upsets me and I tell her I don't like being treated like I'm some bastard or something. This triggers her and she responds that I shouldn't put words in her mouth and called me a narcissist. Try to tell her that is not what I said and that I feel like I'm being treated one, but no winning that one either.
Well, she gets upset about my trying to respond to her many claims and says that's not the point at all. It's about how I've made her felt during the whole relationship and I need to stop responding to individual claims and respond to the whole point. That confused me as I'm thinking I should respond to each claim and show how it's false instead of admitting to it and saying I'm sorry to claims I never did. As if she wants me to admit fault to things I never did just because of how she feels. She talks about how her physical health has been hurting due to all the things she held onto, the trauma and supposed abuse. How she won't be some stupid person who'll kill herself for some man. She has her daughter to live for and take care of, funny because I'm the one taking care of both of them. But the suicide remark does trigger a concern, even if she doesn't claim she will the thought itself has me wondering about her mental health while she watches our child alone.
Eventually she tells me to get off the phone because she's driving as she's telling me all this and she missed her turn because of the call. So I hang up after telling our daughter goodbye, as she's in the car with her mother during all this too. I really dislike how she tends to have these splits and go off on me in front of our daughter. All I can do after this is journal the interaction and prepare to get a few more consultations after I get home in a few weeks. I wonder if the this episode is due to her being responsible for taking care of our kid while I'm gone now and she's not handling how attention seeking our kid can be. This'll be another interaction to go over with my therapist too when I get back.
