I (23f) my husband (25m) , my husband &I have been together for six years and recently gotten married , in December (2022) we hit a rough patch and separated, but worked things out and gotten back together , we did single things during our separation like making a tinder etc. My husband told his mom about our separation and how I was partying and how he was also having fun on tinder. We ended up working it out and getting back together and made up (being very active in the bedroom) The ending of January/ going into February I found out I was pregnant with our first baby. We are / were very excited and nervous about this new chapter In our lives. However , his mom was secretly talking to his biological dad and step mom about what we had recently went through and how I was toxic and I cheated on him. Side note: my husband’s biological dad is a deadbeat , so they weren’t even close to begin with and it was none of his business about what I was doing when we separated My husband received a long text message from his dad of him saying he needed to leave me and how the baby wasn’t his and how toxic and mentally Ill I was/ am and he wasn’t going to be called grandpa or have his daughters be called auntie or how he doesn’t want anything to do with our unborn child. My husband stopped talked to his father and his mother over this because we knew she had something to do with this especially because she was the only one who knew about our separation. I'm 20F, girls harassing me are 17-18F ish. This is going to sound incredibly stupid and high school drama-esque to everyone reading this, but that's exactly why I'm asking for advice - don't want to feed into the drama. This one girl, let's call her A, has been harassing me for a few months about my boyfriend of around 4 ish years. Passive aggressive comments and DMS on my Instagram account, etc. Seems to think my boyfriend is in love with her. Continually sends screenshots (some of them edited) to me telling me he's told her he loves her, he 'likes her and not me', etc. Yes, I've discussed this all with my boyfriend and we've decided not to block her or take any actions - he doesn't contact her anymore, but I stay civil with her if she messages me. Yes, I know it's all bait but she's also been diagnosed with some mental illness and genuinely believes she's meant to be together with him. She's been known to be erratic in the past and we don't want to risk anything.
I've been in a really bad mood lately and I just got mad. A had sent me a voice recording of my boyfriend telling her he 'loved her' (an edited clip.) along with a screenshot of another man with the same first name as my boyfriend asking her out. I told her that she needed to act her age, she needs to stop attempting to make me jealous, and I'm only still talking to her because she's funny to laugh at. I know, not the nicest thing to say but in the moment I was angry. I blocked her and my boyfriend did the same. A's friends start coming after me and texting some pretty outrageous things, and I tell them all the same thing - I regret what I said, but I'd prefer if she doesn't contact either of us anymore.
One girl in particular - T - was frustrated I didn't want to argue with her and somehow got ahold of both me and my boyfriend's address AND his parent's address, phone numbers, emails, and full names. I know most of these things come up in a Google search but I'm still scared nonetheless, because I've checked, and I know for a fact my address is nowhere online. I told her to stop, and I didn't want to argue with a bunch of high schoolers 2-3 years younger than me, and she told me to stop bringing age into this. I've blocked this girl but she keeps making new accounts - the 'block all new accounts this user may create' isn't working. Reported her for harassment to Instagram but I doubt they'll do anything. I've got bigger problems in life than to deal with high school girl drama again, what should I do?

I can't tell if I'm overreacting to this all and blowing things out of proportion, but I lost a lot of sleep over this last night.
Background (it's long, sorry) :
I am very, very recently pregnant: 6 weeks today. While my husband and I were trying, it happened almost instantaneously so he and I are still a bit shocked over my being pregnant so quickly. He and I are really happy about it, but cautiously so: I'm older, I have fibroids, and the risk of miscarriage is already about 1 in 5 pregnancies without any other factors. We are not 'scared' of miscarriage as we know it's common and personally see it as a way that biology helps ensure healthy bodies by 'checking' for viability before the full, full swing of development gets going. (I know not everyone feels this way, and it can be incredibly painful - if you've ever had a miscarriage, I send you big hugs and wishes for another, viable pregnancy.) So, while we're excited, I'm not thinking about my pregnancy 'as a baby' just yet, and are instead being excited and happy and curious to see 'if this one sticks around or we try again.' I hope that framing makes sense.
I am close with my mom and with my family, but as with everyone I'm sure, have complicated relationships with my family members. We are also both expats, and I live a 13 hour flight, 8hr timezone difference, away from my family. My mom is a 'mom's' mom, if you get me, and always wanted to be a mom, took to it like water and loves it - in many ways, this was wonderful growing up, and also means she LOVES babies and would be very excited about me being pregnant. With this partly in mind, my husband and I decided to wait to tell our parents. We wanted to get past the initial early higher risk weeks, so that when we told family we could be more straightforwardly excited with them without any of the cautious framings of 'this is a pregnancy, not a baby yet' that in particular, is a nuance I don't think my mom can grasp. Also, a few days after we got the positive test (and normalised to the shock), my little sister announced that she and her partner were going to get court-house married a week later (they are nomads in a sense, and have talked about getting married for a while, but now is a ripe time due to immigration reasons) and the last thing I wanted to do was in any way steal focus from this very exciting news of hers, in which the family attention and spotlight absolutely deserves to be shining on her. My younger brother and I didn't attend, but us siblings had fun convos and chats and picture sharing.
SITUATON:
So, on to the actual issue. My good friend, Fiona, who is a family friend (she was our neighbour when I was 13, she was 27, and my mom was in her early 40s), has come to visit me for a week, with her 8 year old son. She lives in a country different from mine and my mom's but my mom is also an expat, and annually goes back to visit her natal home, about 2-3 hrs drive from Fiona's home. She'll sometimes go to see Fiona while she's back visiting. As Fiona is between my mom and I in age we both have close relationships with her, and she's been a bit like an older sister to me over the years.
I debated telling Fiona that I'm pregnant because it's still so early and because I haven't told my mom yet, but decided to because a week seemed like a long time to 'hide' this from a house guest and because I'm close with Fiona, know she would be excited for me, and because I wanted the experience of telling someone like family 'in person' to get that experience of a real hug after the news. I also knew she'd understand the nuance of 'pregnancy' vs 'baby', and thought I knew that she's respect how private and careful I like to be about things.
I told her I was pregnant her first morning, saying 'but it's a secret!' and stopped her before she turned to tell her son (her son doesn't speak English so didn't understand when I told her) by saying 'Don't tell him!' Over the next couple days, we talked about pregnancy etc a lot (she has A LOT to share) and in those conversations I again made it clear that she especially cannot, please, tell my mom that I told her first/ I love my mom dearly and we also have a pattern in which I look after her feelings a lot in our family bc she can her feelings hurt easily if she feels she's excluded from stuff, or 'preferred' over others, and when something goes wrong in the family in this regard, I can often get guilt-tripped about it for a long time. She had a strained relationship with her mom, and in some ways growing up, I mothered her. Is this entirely healthy? No, of course not - I recognise this and work on it in therapy, but it is what it is, and you can't change all your dynamics in life, just manage them as best you can, and one way I was going to that, was manage the flow of information for this situation. I talked about all this, not for the first time, so Fiona knows.
Then yesterday, I was on a hike with my husband, Fiona and her son, and asked my husband to surreptitiously to take a 'pre-bump' photo of me with the beautiful backdrop. Her son then asked, slyly, 'What are you doing?' I immediately answered, in his language, 'Oh I love this view, and I want to get really fit so want a before and after photo', but then Fiona chimes in 'She wants to take pictures so she can see how the baby is growing over time' and then must have seen the shocked look on my face and says to me 'Oh I told him the news this morning.' I then immediately turned to the kid and said 'Ok, now that you know, you have to promise me that you understand that this is a secret, and know one can ever know that you know! Ok?' (probably a dumb thing to tell a kid that you want to keep a secret, but it was a instant reaction to the shock and fear I had). Fiona then goes, 'Don't worry! He won't say anything - and plus your mom won't come to visit me - she hardly ever does even when I ask her to!' (There is a some minor beef there I think that I didn't entirely know about).
I feel really shocked by this, because I thought I was really clear about not telling her son when I first told her. Though I didn't mention this boundary again in direct terms, I expressed my anxiety about my mom finding out she knew first (my mom is coming to visit her natal home again in a few months for a couple months). My worry is that my mom is going to go visit Fiona, or Fiona and her son will go to visit my mom, and they will talk about my pregnancy (at that point the news will be 'out') and then her son with chime in with 'Oh I knew about that, I found out when I was visiting X(me)' - he's really taken with this trip so I think it'll loom large on his memory for a while. Also, this kid, like many 8 year olds, is a total chatterbox and has fun disobeying his mother and other adults. I'm not judging here - I volunteer with kids his age - but he is not reliable to follow directions, imho.
My god, this turned into a long post. But I lost sleep over this last night - both feeling upset and kind of pissed off that she told her son, background worry that my mom will find out and all the crap I'll likely have to deal with afterwards, annoyance at myself for having taken the risk to tell her in the first place (ultimately, it's my fault for creating a situation in which this could happen, as the buck stops with me).
Do I tell my friend that her doing this upset me and has triggered my anxiety? If I do say something, when do I do it? I know she's be so looking forward to this trip for a long time - she's been working so hard on a particular project for a while and has been effectively a single parent for many years bc her husband works for weeks away throughout the year. She's also always been very sweet to me over the years and was genuinely so happy and touched that I told her. I don't want to ruin, or sour, this important trip for her - first time she's travelled in 4 years, or put strain on our lovely friendship. She could have just been really excited and that's why she told her son? But while she said 'oh your mom won't visit me!' kind of resentfully, I feel that this absolutely a possibility, so my anxiety doesn't feel unfounded.
Or do I just let this go, and learn from my mistake? And work on not building up resentment, and managing my anxiety as my mom's trip back home gets nearer?
I'm in two minds because I'm not sure what would usefully come from me saying anything, besides 'getting it off my chest', or asking her to 'not talk about my pregnancy with her husband at home so that the knowledge get's reinforced in her kid's head'. That feels almost controlling though, and maybe I need to learn that I just can't control this news once it's out?

I’ll try and make this somewhat short and easy to understand. So I started hanging out with my lovely group of friends about 2 years ago now, I needed a new group of friends. Anyways, I didn’t think much on the 1 boy in our group until it just randomly hit me one day and I was like “him, I want that one”. So I started snap chatting him and we had some good conversations(this was before new years) I asked him if he was going to the New Year’s party our friends were throwing, unfortunately he was visiting family a couple hours away. I said “well I’ll miss you” and he said “at least someone misses me” so then I was like okay I got this I’ll ask for his number. And because he’s a funny guy he was joking around but did take my number and I got a random text about my credit card. I ignored it and a few days go by and I ask him why he hasn’t texted me and he told me that text was from him. I couldn’t believe it. I felt so stupid after that.
As we texted I’d ask him how his day was and he’d always ask me how mine was. It was very nice.
Then January of this year rolls around. He has parties at his house on the weekends. A bunch of my friends have already been to his house and I haven’t so I finally decided to go and have fun. I noticed he didn’t have many things in his house so I took note and bought him a few things. (I was a sucker for him, what can I say) and he gave me a huge hug and said thank you(and he still has these items to this day!) so now I’m like okay this is fine, I’ll ask him to hangout, meanwhile I’m flipping my shit while doing this because it stresses me out doing this kinda stuff. But I asked him and assumed the worst. And BOOM he said yes and I could t believe it once again.
So I went to his house and we hung out for awhile, we watched The Interview but we didn’t get to finish it unfortunately. But we made good conversation the entire time we were together. And then he goes “I’ll have to finish the movie later and pretend you’re next to me” (Mind you text messages have been exchanged throughout, which also lead me to believe this is a good sign)
So after that I think I may have rushed it and asked him if he wanted to go out sometime and he kinda politely said no. I was crushed. It was a bad time for me.
We talked over text and had to see each other in person after that because we’re in the same friend group. I felt a bit awkward and I think he did too, even though he told me nothing would change what we have.
So after hanging out as a group things felt great again. He always smiles at me and we always seem to end up next to each other at the parties. We laugh and joke around. God it’s so good to have that back. But I didn’t get my hopes up because I didn’t want to get hurt again so I was cautious. But if he did something I wouldn’t stop him, I’d do it back.
So then May. We had a party and we were all outside. The weekend was a bit rainy so some of the chairs got wet. He was sitting down in one of them but on his work coat. I was standing next to him and he gets up and goes “you can take my spot” and I said “no it’s okay” and he goes “sit down.” And so I did and he comes back with more of his work clothes and puts them in the chair next to me so he won’t get wet.
Which now brings us to recent events. June. It was one of my best friends birthdays and both him and I were drinking. Not too much but a good amount to make you feel good. We were on his back deck and he grabs both my hands and starts dancing to the music coming from his speaker. I am flabbergasted. And of course I dance with him. Then every so often he’d back up close to the stairs and I’d grab him because I didn’t want him to fall. Then he picked out a really specific slower country song and was singing it to me. And the entire time we’re dancing he was smiling at me. (Also after each song ended he’d hug me tight. Like so thing I couldn’t breathe) I told him how impressed I was with his dance skills. Then he tells me he loves to dance and never has anyone to dance with. So then I said well we’re dance partners for life now.
And then we went out for a walk with couple other friends. Him and I walked together of course. And as we’re walking he links his arm through mine so he can keep me balanced. And we just talked the entire time on the walk.
Lastly. I had to go home after the walk because it looked like the rest of them were getting sleepy. Not even 5 minutes after I get home I get a message from one of my best friends and he goes “he’s sad you left” again FLABBERGASTED. So I told my best friend a lil hint that I really liked him and how I couldn’t believe it.
So IN CONCLUSION. What does this mean and what do I do now?

Then yesterday, I was on a hike with my husband, Fiona and her son, and asked my husband to surreptitiously to take a 'pre-bump' photo of me with the beautiful backdrop. Her son then asked, slyly, 'What are you doing?' I immediately answered, in his language, 'Oh I love this view, and I want to get really fit so want a before and after photo', but then Fiona chimes in 'She wants to take pictures so she can see how the baby is growing over time' and then must have seen the shocked look on my face and says to me 'Oh I told him the news this morning.' I then immediately turned to the kid and said 'Ok, now that you know, you have to promise me that you understand that this is a secret, and know one can ever know that you know! Ok?' (probably a dumb thing to tell a kid that you want to keep a secret, but it was a instant reaction to the shock and fear I had). Fiona then goes, 'Don't worry! He won't say anything - and plus your mom won't come to visit me - she hardly ever does even when I ask her to!' (There is a some minor beef there I think that I didn't entirely know about).
I feel really shocked by this, because I thought I was really clear about not telling her son when I first told her. Though I didn't mention this boundary again in direct terms, I expressed my anxiety about my mom finding out she knew first (my mom is coming to visit her natal home again in a few months for a couple months). My worry is that my mom is going to go visit Fiona, or Fiona and her son will go to visit my mom, and they will talk about my pregnancy (at that point the news will be 'out') and then her son with chime in with 'Oh I knew about that, I found out when I was visiting X(me)' - he's really taken with this trip so I think it'll loom large on his memory for a while. Also, this kid, like many 8 year olds, is a total chatterbox and has fun disobeying his mother and other adults. I'm not judging here - I volunteer with kids his age - but he is not reliable to follow directions, imho.
My god, this turned into a long post. But I lost sleep over this last night - both feeling upset and kind of pissed off that she told her son, background worry that my mom will find out and all the crap I'll likely have to deal with afterwards, annoyance at myself for having taken the risk to tell her in the first place (ultimately, it's my fault for creating a situation in which this could happen, as the buck stops with me).
Do I tell my friend that her doing this upset me and has triggered my anxiety? If I do say something, when do I do it? I know she's be so looking forward to this trip for a long time - she's been working so hard on a particular project for a while and has been effectively a single parent for many years bc her husband works for weeks away throughout the year. She's also always been very sweet to me over the years and was genuinely so happy and touched that I told her. I don't want to ruin, or sour, this important trip for her - first time she's travelled in 4 years, or put strain on our lovely friendship. She could have just been really excited and that's why she told her son? But while she said 'oh your mom won't visit me!' kind of resentfully, I feel that this absolutely a possibility, so my anxiety doesn't feel unfounded.
Or do I just let this go, and learn from my mistake? And work on not building up resentment, and managing my anxiety as my mom's trip back home gets nearer?
I'm in two minds because I'm not sure what would usefully come from me saying anything, besides 'getting it off my chest', or asking her to 'not talk about my pregnancy with her husband at home so that the knowledge get's reinforced in her kid's head'. That feels almost controlling though, and maybe I need to learn that I just can't control this news once it's out?

The little skiff drifted lazily along the asteroid belt. In a backwater system, free from prying eyes, the crew had ample time and space to test their newest toy. The ursdain in the pilot’s seat adjusted a couple controls before settling back in his chair. His avian co-pilot was observing the rest of the crew on the security feed.
“What is he doing?”
The ursdain leaned over, “Practicing?”
The avian’s half lidded stare was the only response.
In the cargo bay were the skiff’s other three occupants. A rather burly male human with brown skin and a mostly shaved head was yanking his tomahawk back out of the wooden board he had hung up on the wall. He walked back a few paces before turning and hurling it back at the target.
“Do you have to do that right now?” asked the exacerbated vulptan.
“Nope.” He responded while lining up his next throw.
“Just let him. If he doesn’t keep busy, he’ll keep trying to add ‘modifications.” The red-headed human female interjected while elbow deep in their prototype.
“You’re just jealous of my brilliance.”
“Sure. We’ll call it that.”
Meanwhile as the ursdain began to ponder his next meal a red blip flashed on his display followed by a sharp claxon. He slammed the red alert, “Thakt, we got company!”
The avian was already attempting to jam the enemy sensors, but they’d been made. “They’re on their way! Pirates looking to board!” She keyed the intercom, “Prepare for boarders!”
As soon as the lights went red the man in the jury-rigged shop ran to the new machine. “This thing ready?”
“The targeting computer hasn’t been installed and there’s still the issue of-“
“Can it move!?”
“Yes, but-“
“Strap me in!” He snached up the helmet and mask then climbed in the suit. The women began closing and sealing panels as he donned the helmet, flipped down the visor, and sealed the mask to his face.
“Gonzo! Listen to me. You don’t have a lot of time in that thing, so you gotta be in and out. Alright?”
“Lil, this is what I’m good at. Let me work.” She rolled her eyes as she closed the front up.
He opened then closed his mechanical fingers and rolled his shoulders. The suit seemed to be responding well. He stood to its full height and slammed the dome helmet down over his head. The other two already snatched a couple weapons and ran for the bridge to secure it. He stalked over to the armory bench to pick up some toys and party favors when the com cracked to life in his ear.
“Gonzo? You receiving?”
“Loud and clear.”
“Our only shot at getting out of here is you disabling their engines and breaking whatever they use to mate with us.”
He giggled slightly as he strapped the weapon harness over his mid-section. “Copy. Break shit. Can do.”
The ship shuddered and jolted. “They’re broadcasting for surrender.”
“Sure, I’ll accept their surrender.”
“Funny. They’re about to breach the stern airlock. Get ready.”
Gonzo drew a breath and put his game face on. Their MO is to breach loud and fast. A little shock and awe. He planted a couple surprises by the hatch then took cover around the bulkhead.
“They’re about to breach.” He popped a couple smoke grenades and tossed them down the corridor. Then an idea struck him, and he popped a couple more and thrust them in his harness for a bit of Blackbeard flair. He readied his weapon and checked the other two. All he could do was wait.
A few seconds later the hatch blasted in and two canids rushed into the haze. Gonzo didn’t know how armored they were, but he figured being covered in burning napalm was a bad thing. He leaned the nozzle around the corner and lit up the entrance. The blinding light pierced the smoke and judging from the screams, they weren’t ready for assaulting a weapons manufacturing ship. Now came the fun part of the suit. While the auto-aim and friend/foe feature weren’t installed, it did have a suite of sensors such as sonar, lidar, and infrared.
Gonzo could see the outlines of the thrashing pirates and held his fire. A couple more pirates entered the hall to drag their comrades out. That’s when he hit the clacker. The anti-personnel mines went off, filling the confined space with hundreds of ball-bearings in an instant.
“Hey! We gotta clean all that up when you’re done you know!”
“Relax. I’m advancing now. Give me a map.”
Sure enough, a holo layout of the pirate ship sprung to life in the corner of his vision, complete with the highlighted sections of engineering and security. He advanced through the smoke onto the pirate ship. As he emerged through the smoke, more billowing off him like a demon fresh from Hell, he saw more pirates readying to storm his little craft. They were lightly armored. Shame. With another squeeze and lazy turn, he coated the would-be intruders.
Realizing they bit off more than they could chew, the lights on the pirate vessel began flashing red, and a call to repel boarders went out. Gonzo hustled down the passages headed toward engineering. He rounded the corner and dove back behind the corner as the ursdain with a gatling laser opened up from the other end of the hall. He wasn’t sure the flamethrower would make it to the other side, so he swapped to his baby. He tossed his last smoke grenade around the corner and counted to ten.
When he felt the passage was good and obscured, he held his replica China Lake around the corner and fired. Fwoomp…BOOM! Something wet and red hit the wall beside Gonzo. I think I got ‘em. He pumped another round into the chamber and continued.
He found Engineering easily enough and stormed inside. It was a large room dominated by…Well, the engine he supposed. Gonzo wasn’t an engineer, but he was a 2300. He was about to jog up to the biggest most important looking bit when his legs were taken out from under him. He was quickly bound up in ssypno coils and could hear the suit groaning under the pressure.
“There’ll be no more of that. Now let’s get you out of that can.”
Gonzo struggled to no avail, but he’d be damned before he gave up. He took a breath and forced his arms out away from his body. The suit groaned and struggled to give him the breathing room he needed. When he thought he had the space to work with, his hand shot to his knife strapped to his belt. He drew it and twisted his hand just as the coils snapped shut around him. The pirate stabbed herself in the soft scales of her underbelly just as Gonzo drew his arm around his torso slicing long and deep.
She shrieked as he carved, and quickly tried to slither away, but he snatched a piece of her armor and rode her, continuing to stab and slash at the joints in her suit. She tried to curl in on herself and grab the man with her upper arms. He wrestled with her for a while before he drew his offhand behind her opposing arm then using her own death grip on his main hand bent her arm around his. Her elbow snapped and she shrieked. With brief freedom of movement, Gonzo drew his knife up and plunged it into her sub armored neck. Her tail thrashed and writhed before the life seeped from her.
Gasping and sweating profusely, he drew himself up and stumbled to the drive core. Or what he thought was the drive core. He wasn’t an astrophysicist, but he was sure this thing didn’t like heavy explosives. He quickly rigged up an IED around the biggest glowiest part and set it to go off on his clacker.
He jogged from engineering to security but was stopped in the passages by a couple canids ambushing him. One opened fire with a laser-rifle, striking him in the upper torso, but the armor kept his chest from being cauterized. The blast streaked off the chest piece leaving a red-hot mark. It burned.
“Keep out of fire, Gonzo! I was trying to tell you that the heat-sinks aren’t finished yet!”
There may not have been a new hole in him, but it burned like Hell. He closed the distance to his attackers, too close to use his rifle, and they met him with claw and teeth drawn. The first canid threw themselves at him, knocking him down, and clamping their jaws around where his neck would be. He heard a hiss as something gave way on his shoulder. He fought and rolled to buck them off, but they held fast.
Gonzo decided it was time to draw his sidearm and clamped his hand down on the head of the assaulting canid to keep them in place. The other one tried to claw at his legs, but only found solid titanium alloy. He reached down to his holster and drew the comically oversized revolver, now appropriately sized in the power-armor’s fist. He thrust the barrel under the canid’s chin and fired. Their friends’ helmet rocketing off their head gave Gonzo the brief shock needed to roll the first pirate off him, raise his pistol, and fire point blank at his second attacker. As their head snapped back, he hauled himself back onto his feet and limped into security.
He needed to find a way to release his ship but drew short at the two canids and taurian blocking the consoles. The two canids threw themselves at Gonzo, biting and clawing for all they were worth. The heat in the suit was becoming unbearable. It was starting to sear bits of exposed flesh. Gonzo regretted jumping in in a tank top.
One canid clamped their jaws on his neck while the other went for his legs trying to drop him to the deck. Something snapped to his left and he lost all control of his left arm. It was just a hundred pounds of dead weight. He fell back swinging his pistol around trying to pistol-whip his attackers.
“That’s enough! Just give up and we’ll sell you somewhere nice.” The taurian called out.
Gonzo bucked his hips and fired at the canid by his legs but missed. Repeating what he did before he point-blank lobotomized the canid by his shoulder. With a roll, he popped himself back up readying his next shot when the second canid fell on him. He held his ground as they slashed and leapt to bite.
He caught them in the air and slammed them into the bulkhead beside him. It was nice to be eye level with them for once. He used this to his advantage by slamming his titanium fist into their face and gut repeatedly, feeling each subtle bone crack and snap. The taurian grabbed him under the arms and hurled him to the other side of the room as the last canid slumped down the wall.
The pirate drew some kind of bladed weapon. Big mistake. Gonzo drew his tomahawk, and sprinted forward with his head down. Using all the power in the suit he had, he slammed into her stomach and drove her forward into the wall.
She recovered her breath quickly and began raining blows down on his back and shoulders. The strain was beginning to get to him. Sweat was streaming down his body, stinging his eyes. The suit burned. He bent his knees then shot upright, driving his helmet into her chin. She rocked back in shock and Gonzo took a couple steps back. His left arm was dead. He could only grasp with the fingers. The pirate rubbed her chin.
“Oh, you’ll pay for that.”
Gonzo quickly tossed his tomahawk up and grabbed it by the end, before hurling it at his enemy. It buried in her shoulder, and she screamed. He sprinted at her full tilt with his head down shoulder out and pinned her to the wall. She kept fighting and pushed him back. Gonzo used his hips to swing his dead arm around to the pirate and clamped down with his hand. His hand locked in place as the taurian began to try and ineffectually push him away. Panting, he decided to give her a bit of backward-knee syndrome. He hauled back and put his and his suits’ full weight into a stomp kick right on her knee.
It folded back and she shrieked. Now at chest height he began slamming his fist into her helmet until it warped and broke. He stopped when he saw the stream of blood pour out the bottom.
He tried to make his way to the console, but realized his hand was stuck gripping the dead-weight of the corpse. He planted one boot on its back and pulled for all he was worth. With a fresh souvenir of taurian hide trapped in his grasp, he quickly worked the security console and disengaged the clams holding his ship in place. Once freed, he pulled out his clacker and slammed it. The whole ship rocked and shuddered. Catching his que he limp-jogged back to his ship. The remaining pirates were too busy with damage control as the ship quickly began filling with vacuum. Gonzo found his airlock with minimal resistance and threw himself in it.
“Blast!” he cried as he clutched the safety bar inside the lock. Grokna punched the skiff for all it was worth headed for the nearest jump point.
When the airlock cycled Gonzo limped back into the scorched cargo hold with hydro leaking down his left side. Lil and Korsk sprinted in to check on the man as he clumsily clutched at the emergency releases. The dome helmet fired clean off the top while the chest piece fired out revealing the sweat drenched and burned pilot. The suit dropped to its knees as Gonzo flopped out ripping his mask and helmet off. He gulped at the fresh air and luxuriated in the coolness of the metal floor when he gasped, “I…I have…Some notes…Need…Better cooling…”

So it was an accidental pregnancy with a friends with benefits type situation. Once I found out i was pregnant I let him know. At first he was surprised (obviously) but for one we hadn’t used contraceptive except for the Plan B afterwards.
Any who.. after trying to get him to come to a couple of appointments and bailing out on them all. I even went to my first sonogram by myself because he didn’t want anyone else to be there. (I really wanted to take my 12 year old)
3 months into my pregnancy he asked for a DNA once baby boy was born. I agreed that it was his right if he had any doubts. And after that he totally bailed. Text maybe like once a month asking how I’m feeling, never offering any sort of support financial or emotionally, just always talking about how this was stressing him out and he was ready for the child to be born so he could finally know. Really all about him and his feelings.
At point I wasn’t really relaying anything to him I was paying all my bills and going to the appointments monitoring my sugars (I have Type 2 diabetes) and making sure I was being healthy for myself and having a smooth pregnancy.
Then he got mad I wasn’t answering him fast enough. Left a idk why you’re ignoring me voicemail. I messaged him back and told him I didn’t see any point in updating him if he was doing nothing and that I had it handled and I just wanted peace for my pregnancy since I was doing it all myself. (I was getting tired of him saying “the child” and when we argued it was “my child” when it was convenient to him) We did have some what of a heart to heart in person convo, I asked him to at least be friend and he agreed said he would be more proactive. And it just went back to before. So I stopped pushing it.
I did keep him updated like when they told me I had to be induced on June 8th. That was May 1st. Didn’t hear from him till June 1st. Saying he was patiently waiting for him to be born and how the child was changing a lot of peoples lives and didn’t even know it. (Which pissed me off, I really don’t know why, maybe because I’m wholeheartedly prepared for my baby boy and so are all the people who have been supporting me during my pregnancy) and he would be in the waiting room. I said oh well I thought you would visit us once I got home from the hospital because you haven’t really been involved and I only wanted people at the hospital who have been supporting me.
He said “I can see where you feel the way you feel. I disagree but ok. I'll still be there in the waiting room. I respectfully want to see the child the day hes born. If you don't let me well What can.i really do. It'll be your decision.”
I didn’t respond. I can’t stop him from coming to the hospital or seeing him in the window of the nursery if he’s not taken to the NICU since I’m being induced.
I’m not putting him on the birth certificate since he has to sign a Acknowledgment of Paternity at the hospital which I know he won’t. Baby Boy is taking my last name which I already told him. And if he does do the DNA test which is going to be on his dime and he’ll be setting it up, I’m not helping at all. He did ask for me to hold off on doing the birth certificate but i explained to him that i would not because I’m getting Maternity Leave and i need to put him on my employer’s insurance. I will be willing to add him to the birth certificate later but I’m not changing baby boys last name.

Hi as the title suggests, I briefly dated this person some years ago and their family has a business that does a few million in turnover annually. They messaged me out of the blue this weekend and I'm not even sure where to begin to make sure they're worthwhile to pursue as a client. Granted I don't have any experience with taking on new clients in general let alone a funny situation like this. What would y'all do? Would you consider this a no go? What would you even ask? So the other day we got into an argument because originally we had planned go over theirs for 5pm. So it was around 11.30am and got a call off my now ex saying they were coming to get me and I wasn't ready. I had stayed at my parents' house all week sol hadn't done any washing besides uniform. So had my stuff in the wash and they were Over waiting for me. In total this was for a span of around 2 hours. said wasn't ready and that I'd be a bit after she called and I thought she understood to wait. Next know her and her mother is on their way to get me and they were rushing me when couldn't be any faster. I got in the car and she was giving me a funny look in the rearview mirror so looked back thinking she was going to say something. As mentioned it took me around 2 hours to get ready and when eventually met them, they were acting annoyed. We went to a local park where her mother dropped us off while she stayed in the car.
My ex, me and her brother left the car and came back alone to talk to her and she started shouting at me for some stuff I've never done besides one incident which we had resolved after. She mentioned getting her husband involved then there would be kick off. then went back to the park and went to talk to my ex and we agreed that I don't go with them and stay at their house. They left me standed ages from home and was pissed.
I messaged my ex and said "thanks for leaving me stranded and wasting my day off".
To keep this short just say there was an argument on the phone where her mother said apparently she didn't threaten to get her husband on me and some other BS. hung up, she then texted my mother to which my mother stuck up for me and hers tried to play the victim as she does and tried to say was making up a fake story. Is there any coming back from this? Is there any way I can make it up to her? I didn't want us to end so soon.

I (20sF) recently went through some traumatic events over the past few years that led to me having to cut out everyone from my past. It was a very difficult decision but the constant fear I was living in was not worth it and I realized that the people I thought were friends didn’t care about me that much at all.
Since cutting them all out, I have been left alone. The loneliness really gets to me sometimes and life really seems bleak and hopeless, like I only just barely exist, just enough for people to realize I’m there but not enough to care if I was gone. My coworkers are all men who are each a part of one of the groups they all split up in, i however don’t fit into any of them. Don’t get me wrong, I get along with them all fairly well, but I think they all treat me different because I am a woman, and due to the fact that I got a coworker fired for sexual harassment and some of them seem to think I overreacted. I do understand, jokes are common and our workplace is very relaxed, so I get that they think he was kidding, but I was the only one who heard what he was saying to me and how he said it. I am good at reading people and he was not joking, and he was also way more explicit than I have ever been with any of my coworkers.
All in all, I understand that I’m not going to become friends with any of them. I can’t blame them for being cautious and staying away, but it still sucks to hear about all of them making plans and hanging out, going drinking, having parties, and I’m never invited. I want to make friends so badly but I have such bad anxiety about going places alone, and I also have not had a good track record with new relationships of any sort in the past couple of years. Last year I had one really good friend who I thought would stick around forever, I met him at my old job and we hung out all the time, but then he turned cold all of a sudden and started ignoring me. I’m ashamed to admit it but I went crazy and had a breakdown that resulted in me sending him some very dark messages about my state of mind and resulted in him saying he needed a break. That break never ended, and I went into a very dark place due to the loneliness and the fact that I have literally no one in my life to go to to talk. I just want relationships. I want human interaction. I want to wake up to messages about something crazy that happened or TikTok’s that they think are funny. I’m so tired of the constant emptiness in my life but anxiety makes it so hard to go out and meet new people, and impossible to actually go up to someone and start talking. I’ve also become increasingly scared of asking people for their information to keep talking because I feel like I probably got the wrong message and they’re not actually as interested as I am, and that I’m becoming way to clingy again. How do I make friends if I’m constantly terrified of doing anything to make it happen?

Hello everyone! My boyfriend is returning from a bachelorette trip tomorrow where he was the only guy amongst the group of 8 people. I will be going to pick him up at the airport with a bouquet of flowers (this a thing in our relationship) and maybe print out a card with some funny message on it on the lines of how brave he is for surviving the bachelorette (pure fun, no judgements here please) We both love The Office and Michael Scott so I was thinking maybe I can use a reference. I (m34) am single, asexual, and child free. I love my life. I have no plans to change it at any point in the future. But I come from a large family, and am frequently getting invited to weddings, birthday parties, gender reveals, graduations, retirements. It gets to be a lot, and over the last few years I have gotten tired of giving gifts, especially when there are no more "major life events" where I would get them.
So I sent out an announcement card with my picture on the front, and text saying "exciting news". Inside I explained that I will not be getting married or having kids, and included a link to an Amazon registry for gifts people could get me.
I tried to make the card funny, pointing out that in the big scheme of things I was saving them money by not having a wedding. But this has not gone over well, family members are furious and offended. I thought it would be taken as a joke and maybe I would get some new camping gear out of it. So far that is not the case.
