2023.05.30 00:05 noximo [TOMT][ANIME][80s-90s] A young girl is in a mining town in the mountains. She waits for her mom (dad?) to arrive via train/mining cart and puts her head (ear) on the rail tracks to listen for the incoming train.
I remember a scene where she runs to a rail track because someone told her that her mom(dad?) is coming (or maybe it was the date of their arrival) so she runs to the station and puts her ear to the rails to listen for vibrations.
I think her parent hasn't arrived then. The whole scene is pretty sad/moody in my memories. I think the whole town where she lived was like that - like living on some frontier, cut off from the rest of the world. But those are my feelings, I don't remember if it was actually the case. Also, I have a feeling she was alone there (or maybe with an aunt or something like that?). I remember the feeling of loneliness.
I think it ran during the children's cartoons segment so it's should be something child-friendly, though as I said, it was kinda serious. Also, not many animes got broadcasted on our tv in my country so it should be fairly famous.

I was cheated on multiple times and I've never been in a healthy relationship, I was always on the receiving end of abuse. I've been terrified of it ever since. Me (22M) and my girlfriend (21F) have been dating for almost one year coming up pretty soon next month. It is the best relationship I have ever been in and she has said the same thing about our relationship countless times. I love her and she loves me and we have had such an amazing relationship so far. The problem is with her mother. Here is some context… after high school I didn’t go to college and instead had a few jobs here and there until I landed a really good one about a year ago with lots of room for growth and already have been promoted twice due to my work ethic. Basically my point is I make quite a decent amount of money for being my age.
Ok her mother hates me or the fact that I didn’t go to college like my girlfriend is right now. She constantly brings it up always in a “subtle” manner. Recently when I’m not around my girlfriend told me that her mom has been saying that me and my girlfriend don’t have the same interests or hobbies and we basically aren’t of the same “economic” stature. Now here is when the insulting of me comes in. I had/have a speech impediment and have for a long time. Especially when I was young I would stumble over my words sometimes and also I get excited about explaining some things I’m interested in and I’ll ramble a little trying to think straight and get the right words. I tried really hard and got over it (for the most part) it presents itself from time to time when I’m nervous… like when I’m talking to my girlfriends mother. And because of this this is another issue of me being of lower economic status and that I speak in an uneducated way.
So now you have a little context. I’m not going to go super into details unless you guys ask for them I don’t really post on Reddit at all and I know my girlfriend uses it so I’ll try not to use too many details.
It is because of this insulting of me and telling her daughter that her and I aren’t compatible that my girlfriend is slightly starting to believe it and doubt our relationship. And it’s not like I am a mean boyfriend in the slightest I shower her in compliments and gifts and always make an effort to show her she is loved. And my girlfriend has told me countless times that she wouldn’t know what to do without all the love and care I show her.
My thoughts are this: this is the most serious relationship either of us has had before in the sense of being a lifetime thing and because of this it causes stress. Her mother will bring up if she wants to marry me and if not not to bring me around the house so my girlfriends mother sees this as a serious relationship as well. I think her mother is panicked about this because although it is the first time me or my girlfriend have been in something this serious. It’s also the same way for her mom when it comes to having a daughter being in a relationship this serious so that may cause them both to maybe panic a little.

1st, Kudos to the dev for this app. Absolutely fantastic. I have scoured Reddit (and otherwise) for the best Reddit app, and I am unable to find a better one, despite its issues mentioned:
2nd, I need help regarding the fact that since the most recent update, the app has started some issues. Videos (sometimes) don't start playback. No error icon, etc. Just the play button comes on, and despite tapping it, nothing happens (same videos play on the official Reddit app, no problem). Seldom happened before, regular occurrence now.
Lastly, image and video resolution of infinity is much, much better than stock Reddit app. The issue is loading, especially GIFs. I can see that the gif is downloaded (via network speed overlay), and then about 5-10 secs later (sometimes less, sometimes as long as 90 secs) the gif starts playing. Same with images and videos, but the delay is much less noticeable for videos. How can I either decrease the resolution, or optimise the app or tweak the settings to resolve this issue?
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
Ps both these issues appear both on WiFi and mobile data. I'm also using private DNS and Vpn.

The counter-arguments are

Hi all. Long story short, I am divorced and have been single for a few years now, working on myself etc. Dated a bit but nothing serious. About 3 months ago, met an amazing woman who I instantly felt a connection with. Unfortunately after a few weeks, I found out she was married, yet she told me at this point they were about to separate and she is ready to move on. We started seeing each other after this point as I believed that we had something special. A few weeks ago, her 'husband' came over to hers to pick up some bits and they ended up sleeping together. She apologized and promised it wouldn't happen again so I let it go. She basically said that she wants us to continue seeing each other exclusively and wants to be with me long term, once the divorce is settled etc. Now this weekend, she went to a festival and most of her friends left quite early on. She stayed and started chatting to a group of people and hung out with them. She tells me today that one of the guys she met there is texting her with kisses on the end of the text, and would I "do that with girls I'm friends with"? First off, not keen that she gave this guy her number. Secondly not keen that she is actually texting him. Whilst I believe it could be plutonic, it's still playing on my mind a lot. I am very concerned here and feel like I could be chasing something bad, considering that our relationship started with texting too. So reddit, let me hear your thoughts.
