He looked at my shirt and said, “You look amazing in that color…” and throughout the session and kept going, “Wow, that is your color.” And “I wish you could see what I see….how you’re lovable…and desirable.”
By the following session I was breaking down and telling him I was so attached I was obsessed and it was too much. I thought I needed to quit because it was too much. He tried to normalize my feelings but I was saying I wanted to quit. Then he got a bit more distant.
Following that I did return about once a month (only that a month due to cost reasons). My attachment lessened and I told him so. It wasn’t as obsessive. However, I am still attached. The issue is that he doesn’t seem to care much at all anymore. He is still willing to do therapy with me, but tends to make a lot of scheduling errors, is 5 minutes late for every session, and didn’t even tell me about the recent rate increase. I just got the bill and it was suddenly more! I emailed him about it and he said he’d refund me the extra amount for that session and that going forward it would be the new amount. I then sent him the longest email I ever have (2 paragraphs) telling him that his little errors made me feel like more of an afterthought than an actual client anymore. I worded it respectfully but made my feelings known. He had no response to any of this. He just emailed me back letting me know he cancelled our next session (which I requested).
This has all led to a realization. When things got messy, he was able to wash his hands of me and professionally distance himself, while I am still stuck with the pain of the attachment. I can’t just suddenly not care about him anymore. However, he seems more than capable of moving on with things and pretending like he never had a hand in any of this….my attachment, my erotic transference (I never spoke to him explicitly about the erotic transference but fairly sure he suspected).
He seems so distanced and professional now that I really question if all the above even meant anything. Was I adding meaning to actions that had no meaning? It makes me feel kind of pathetic and insane.

40F - ADHD currently taking Ritalin 10mg 2 x day, Magnesium-L Threonate and N-acetyl-cysteine. Had hip labrum replacement in July last year. Have had COVID twice in April 2022 and March 2023.
For the last 1 1/2-2 years the right side of my neck swells and it stays that way for days, weeks or even months at a time. It has gradually become longer and more frequent. At this point it always feels slightly more swollen than the other side and my jaw is less defined on that side. When it's really bad, the edge of my face will also swell, including my earlobe and even up to my temple and I get pain around the bottom of my jaw that goes up behind my ear and into my head. About a year ago I started gagging easily (especially when brushing my teeth) and choking on nothing as it feels like my throat is full and anything can set off my gag reflex. I have previously been prone to ear infections but I haven't had one for years. My mother has Graves Disease and I think there's other thyroid disorder in the family I'm just not sure what. Normal appearing lymph nodules. There is a TIRADS-4 nodule on the right isthmus and the other nodules are TIRADS-2. I had a biopsy in Feb with the following results: Thyroid: Right lobe. Mid zone. Size in mm: 9.2x8.4. Echogenicity: Heterogenous. Margins: Ill-defined (Border of nodule difficult to distinguish from thyroid parenchyma in areas) . Composition: Solid (0 - <5 % cystic). Echogenic foci: Punctate (Dot-like foci with no posterior acoustic shadowing \[<1 mm\] ? Calcium, ? Hyperreflective colloid crystals) and macrocalcifications (> 1mm +/- posterior acoustic shadowing). Shape: Wider than tall. Doppler: no vascularity identified. Number of needle passes: 1. 2. Thyroid: Isthmus. Left of midline. Size in mm: 32.3x13.4 . Echogenicity: Heterogenous. Margins: Smooth (Uninterrupted. Well-defined. Curvilinear edge). Composition: Predominantly solid (Soft tissue =/> 50% of the nodule). Echogenic foci: Punctate (Dot-like foci with no posterior acoustic shadowing [<1 mm\] ? Calcium, ? Hyperreflective colloid crystals) and macrocalcifications (> 1mm +/- posterior acoustic shadowing). Shape: Wider than tall. Doppler: Vascularity is mainly lesional. Degree of vascularity: mild. Number of needle passes: 1. Remainder of thyroid: No abnormality. FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION CYTOLOGY. Both nodules were identified and confirmed by matching with the previous images. This nodule felt focally gritty to the needle when traversed in multiple directions in a systematic fashion. The smears contain abundant thin and clumped colloid and multiple follicular epithelial fragments. The cellularity of the follicular tissue is within normal limits and a mixed pattern with a predominance of macro follicles an absence of architectural monotony is identified. There is no significant cytological atypia or architectural disarray. The microcalcification did not yield any calcific material or psammoma bodies and nuclear features of papillary carcinoma are not present. There is no lymphoplasmacytic reaction and the appearances are those of a follicular lesion with a benign pattern. The solid areas of this complex nodule were sampled in multiple directions in a systematic fashion. The smears contain abundant thin and watery colloid and multiple follicular epithelial fragments. Clumps of compact colloid are also present. The cellularity of the follicular tissue is within normal limits and a macrofollicular pattern is readily seen and there is no architectural monotony or cytological atypia. No calcific material or psammoma bodies have been aspirated and nuclear features of papillary carcinoma are not present. I had blood tests done in August 2022: TSH 1.5 mIU/L FT4 19 pmol/L FT3 5.9 pmol/L Anti-Thyroglobulin Abs (aTGI) < 1.3 IU/mL Anti-Thyroidal Peroxidase Abs 33 IU/mL My GP doesn't think I need to see a thyroid specialist but also said he didn't know how close an eye we should be keeping on the nodules. He suggested seeing an ENT specialist next as he thinks the neck swelling and the nodules could be unrelated. I just wanted to get some other opinions as I am worried, it really just doesn't feel right at all. Any advice on what it might be, what to do next or how closely the nodules should be monitored would be really helpful. I’m watching a 1 year old shepherd who is still very much a puppy. For the most part she’s been great, but outside time has been a struggle. When I take her out, she wants to eat absolutely everything. Twigs, leaves, rocks, you name it. And if you know puppies, you know they are FAST. Today she got a hold of a leaf and it was hanging out of her mouth, and when I tried to grab it from her she snapped at my hand. She didn’t break the skin, but it definitely hurt.

I am having my second child in 9 days 😬😬😬 we THINK we have his name, but we aren't 100% committed. My fiancé and I named our 3.5 year old daughter Violet, and wanted another classic name that felt similar. We are having a boy, and my backup/safe/probable name is Theodore Matthew, but I'm so worried that Theodore is too popular. In my state, SSA says that name came in at #5 last year. I don't want my son to be just one in a sea of them. We have also liked the name Alexander, but aren't that connected with the name as much and don't know a middle name for it.
I will say I don't know if I can change the name now because my daughter does say baby Theo will be here in x# of days. And we've been counting down for the last week. My heart melts seeing how excited she is for baby brother and hearing her say that name is making it grow on me.

I'm trying to locate a series I read a few years ago. Probably 5-6 books. Contemporary romance. Fairly quick reads.
The series follows a set of friends, each book focusing on a couple. At least two of the guys are in law enforcement. There's a thread in the series of a female psychic who helps the law enforcement guys (only by phone), intriguing one in particular. The series culminates in their story. Specific things I remember:

• One book features a FMC who has a wooden sailing ship, some grand boat she inherited.
• One book features a TSL male character who almost marries a conniving, lying woman claiming she is pregnant, ignoring and disbelieving his wonderful soul mate who actually is pregnant. Almost sure his name in Chance. (There's a possibility I've mixed up the series on this one.)
• There's a ranch and a private jet
• One of the FMC's owns a restaurant
• In the final story - which I remember best - all the couples but the psychic are mated up, some have kids, one is pregnant. The psychic fully joins the story-line, having bought the property adjacent to one couple who own a ranch. At that point the MMC (detective/FBI agent?) has a girlfriend to whom he's ready to propose. She's a nice person - but they are not really suited. There's a cataclysmic scene where the psychic joins them all at the restaurant, averting a disaster and saving one of the children from being accidentally shot. [I think she's been waiting 5 years for this event so as not to change things and endanger the child.] The psychic also exposes that the girlfriend's destiny is to stop living to make her dad happy (become a sweet little married woman) and instead pursue a career as a veterinarian. The psychic herself is injured in the altercation. This is the turning point that begins her story with the detective.

Until the final book, the psychic element is a minor part in the storylines.

That search may be especially meaningful on Justitia, which may have formed closer to our planet and then migrated out to its current position in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, scientists say.
The rest of the mission manifest includes flybys of the asteroids Westerwald, Chimaera, Rockox; 2000 VA28, 1998 RC76 and 1999 SG6, all meant to represent "Different classes of asteroid with varied compositional types," UAE Space Agency officials said in the same statement.
Four science instruments have been announced to probe the geology, composition and structure of the asteroids: a high-resolution camera, a thermal infrared camera, a mid-wavelength spectrometer and an infrared spectrometer.

Mouhamed Gueye a week ago announced he was keeping his name in the NBA draft and officially start his professional career after generating further intrigue in his talents at the combine, but he still seems to be languishing late second in most draft mocks if he's in the top 58 at all.
He measured at what would be around 6'11.5-7'0 in shoes with a 7'3 wingspan. He skipped athletic testing and drills but did showcase for teams and displayed his abilities with the ball in his hands and his fluidity/athleticism at his size.
For me, his all-around game is more theoretical of what he could potentially become vs what he actually is now. But the theoretical is absolutely worth investing in. It is hard to find a guy around 7'0 who moves the way he does. He's very light on his feet. He dunks everything he can and is a transition threat. His shot form is pretty clean. He's a great offensive rebounder; 3.4 a game, uses his athleticism/energy well on the boards. He's stronger than he looks. He has solid footwork in the post. His ballhandling skills are raw yet he flashes some impressive counters and advanced moves. He slides well defensively---he's a bit raw as a defender but tools are there and he's locked guards up on switches.
If a team wants to make an upside play in the second round in this draft you could do worse than Mouhamed Gueye for sure, with potentially a bountiful reward. What do you all think?

During my teenage years, I fell into the alt-right pipeline and became deeply involved in the right-wing influencer sphere. My journey began with watching "SJW cringe clips," but it quickly progressed to following figures like Crowder and a now-banned neo-Nazi named James Allsup. I also briefly frequented subreddits like cringeanarchy and kotakuinaction, which were known for their alt-right and misogynistic content.
Although I was only 15 at the time and more interested in mocking "SJWs" than being a genuine neo-Nazi, I still feel immense guilt and fear about my past actions. I made a few posts on those subreddits, thinking that the clear Nazi dog whistles were ironic jokes, and was genuinely shocked to find out that some of the posters were serious about their views.
Though I had a massive change of mind around the time I turned 16-17, (Unsurprising being I was still a teen kid with a non-function prefrontal cortex) to this day years and years later I still feel incredible guilt and fear about people finding out about my past. If you were to find my old username, which in my infinite wisdom as a 15 year old I used for other sites, you could find a few posts, (Or at least titles of posts) from my old account. It causes me extreme anxiety years later. (I won’t state my exact age but for reference this was over 6-7 years ago.)
Around the same time, on a note that may at first seem unrelated, a classmate introduced me to Hentai porn, which exists in a legal gray area because all the content is drawn. Content that contains clearly implied to be underage characters (It even has an entire sick subgenre) and characters in abuse situations are incredibly easy to stumble upon. While I never actively sought out this content, I def saw it while browsing for more "normal" porn. Before highschool I had watched porn literaly like twice and was caught by a parent. I really had no conception of what was normal and healthy. Similar to my run in with alt-right politics I ended up quitting all porn before leaving highschool, around 17 or 18.
Now, years and years later, I still feel anxious about people finding out about my past. I see a counselor to deal with my guilt and fear, and they tell me to view my actions as a result of unfortunate exposure rather than solely my fault. However, I struggle to forgive myself, as there is no one to apologize to, because I ultimately only hurt myself. Although I have the start of a successful career, I can't shake off the fear of people finding my old racist and homophobic Reddit account or somehow discovering what NSFW content I saw. Even if extremely improbable, I have nights where I can hardly sleep. My friends have assured me that my experience was not unique, and plenty of people have run-ins with extreme political content and NSFW content in highschool, but this really brings me no comfort.
Has anyone experienced something similar? How did you find closure?
