2023.06.09 17:17 BeneficialEgg6421 Given a job then terminated before first day

So, my bf and I got mega screwed over recently and it's been very stressful because of it.
At this point in time, rent due in Aprol was not paid, and was considered "late" on May due rent. He had changed his availability at his old job, and his hours were cut because he wasn't needed so much during his new available hours. So, money got tight.
This was before I moved in with him. I was out of work from my job for 6 weeks, due to a concussion I received on the job, but wasn't eligible for workers comp because my Dr note said I could return to work the same day with heavy restrictions. (I.e. those restrictions being everything the job was). This was in March/early April) so I had no income during those 6 weeks.
Anyway, early May I moved in with my bf, having finished my college semester and dropped out for personal reasons. One week of working McD later, were hunting for jobs. My friend ended up helping me get a job at a local smoothie place, but I don't get many hours, especially because I'm in training.
My bf was also hired for a job, 13/hr, with us, our living situation, and how much everything costs for us, with the hours he was going to work, was going to be big for us, and help us get caught up on bills.
Couple hours before he was going to start working, he got a message saying he didn't have the job anymore because payroll was too high.
So, that was a massive slap in the face, and he's been trying to find a new job since. He's had one interview already, has another one later today, for other jobs.
I've been doing my best to cover internet and electric, scraping all my money together best I can. The only reason we are actually going to end up having electric paid this month is because we got overcharged a previous month, and the credit covers our full cost this month, which felt like a miracle.
It really sucks with this whole situation because we live in an "at will" state, so it's really frustrating because there is nothing we can do about this
Idk, just wanted to get some frustrations out at the place that screwed us over big time. Also, if anyone has any advice, then please share

2023.06.09 17:15 Cardigan_B [Advice] Can a parent sign a lease for an apartment I live-in?

I am a recent college graduate planning to move in with my partner. I am currently in the process of building my resume before applying to law school while my partner is completing a graduate architecture program. At present, my work involves two part-time positions: one as a paid legal assistant and another at a non-profit legal organization that aligns directly with my future career plans. However, despite these engagements, neither my partner nor I earn enough income to afford an apartment.
During college, my mom was paying my rent at my current residence. I was included in the lease as a resident/occupant, but I did not personally pay any rent. My mother acted as the guarantor, effectively footing the bill in its entirety.
My parents anticipate that I will continue to gain work experience, through internships or similar opportunities, throughout the summer and expect me to secure a full-time job by November. I think this is more than reasonable and have no issues with this arrangement. At that point, my partner and I should be able to take on the responsibility of paying the rent ourselves.
My current lease ends July 31st. All the necessary documents from my mother are ready for the apartment applications.
What remains unclear to me is what additional documents my partner and I need to provide for the lease application, beyond our IDs and prior rental history if my mother is the one paying. I’m not sure if this makes her the guarantor or if she is leasing the apartment and we are subletters? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

2023.06.09 17:14 bikingfencer Galatians, chapter 5 - vices and virtues

Galatians   Chapter Five (https://esv.literalword.com/?q=Galatians+5)

-1. The Anointed frees [שחרר, SheeHRayR] us unto freedom [חרות, HayROoTh], therefore stand, and do not submit [תכנעו, TheeKhahN`Oo] again [שוב, ShOoB] to yoke [לעל, Le'oL] the slavery.
“The expression for freedom [επ ελευθερια - ep eleutheria] (in slightly different Greek form) appears in the certificates of sacral manumission which were given to slaves who purchased their freedom. The slave would deposit the money in the temple of his god for the priest to transfer to his master “for freedom.” He then became the slave of his god, free from his human master.” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X pp. 545-546)
“Among the Jews, the Messiah’s reign was to be a reign of liberty, and hence the Targum [ancient Jewish commentary] on Lamen. [Lamentations] ii. 22. says, “Liberty shall be publicly proclaimed to the people of the house of Israel, על יד משיחא âl yad Mashicha, by the hand of the Messiah, such as was granted to them by Moses and Aaron, at the time of the Passover.” (Clarke, 1831, vol. II p. 393)
...
-5. And we, in spirit upon foundation [of] belief, waiting [מיחלים, MeYahHahLeeYM] to hope [for] fruit, the our righteousness [δικαιοσυνης - dikaiosunes, justification, righteousness].
“The language is so compact that Paul’s meaning has to be inferred from 3:14; 5:22-23; and Rom. [Romans] 8:23-26.” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X pp. 548-549)
“The full measure of human righteousness is still a thing of the eschatological future (cf. [compare with] Rom 5:19).” (Joseph A. Fitzmyer, 1990, TNJBC p. 789)
“That they could not have the Holy Spirit, without faith, was a doctrine also of the Jews; hence it is said, Mechilta, fol. [folio] 52. ‘That faith was of great consequence, with which the Israelites believed in Him, who, with one word, created the universe; and because the Israelites believed in God, the Holy Spirit dwelt in them; so that being filled with God, they sung praises to him.’” (Clarke, 1831, vol. II pp. 393-394)
-6. That yes, in Anointed YayShOo'ah ["Savior", Jesus] there is no thought [חשיבות, HahSheeYBOoTh], not to circumcision [למילה, LahMeeYLaH] and not to foreskin [לערלה, Lah`ahRLaH], rather to belief, the laborer in way [of] love.
“No passage in Paul’s letters is of greater importance for integral understanding of his religion and the relation of his faith to his ethics. The mutuality of faith, hope, and love – a theme repeated with many variations – runs through everything he has written and forms the substance of his theology. … Paul’s religion is distorted whenever his ethics and his ‘good works’ are made to appear as an incidental by-product of his faith rather than as one of its essential ingredients.” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X pp. 550-551)
“This humble, holy, operative, obedient LOVE, is the grand touchstone of all human creeds, and confessions of faith. Faith, without this, has neither soul nor operation: in the language of the apostle James, it is dead, and can perform no function of the spiritual life, no more than a dead man can perform the duties of animal or civil life.” (Clarke, 1831, vol. II p. 394)
...
-12. Would that [מי יתן, MeeY YeeThayN] and be cut [ויכרתו, VeYeeKahRThOo] the misleaders [המתעים, HahMahTh`eeYM] [of] you!
“‘I wish that those who are upsetting you would even emasculate themselves!’ This is what Paul said and meant. … for a similar outburst see Phil. [Philippians] 3:2-3, where the advocates of circumcision are ‘dogs,’ and by a play on words – περιτομη [peritome’], κατατομην [katatmen] - ‘circumcision’ becomes ‘mutilation.’ Paul may have been thinking of the mad spectacle of the Cybele-Attis cult, whose priests in frenzied devotion used to emasculate themselves as a sacrifice to their deity. … The shock of Paul’s statement to the Judaizers can be measured in the light of the prohibition in Deut. [Deuteronomy] 23:1. To a devout Jew his blunt language would be as sacrilegious as a Christian would find the wish of a disbeliever in sacraments that all advocates of baptism would drown themselves. Never happy after making such denunciations (II Cor. [Corinthians]1:23-2:11; Phil. 3:18-19), Paul quickly changes his tone…” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X pp. 554-555)
-13. My brethren, to freedom you have been called,
only that not be, the freedom, means [אמצעי, ’ehMTsah`eeY] in hands of the flesh,
rather that minister, [each] man [את, ’ehTh (indicator of direct object; no English equivalent)] his neighbor in love.
“To be freed from the ceremonial law, is the Gospel liberty; to pretend freedom from the moral law, is antinomianism.” (Clarke, 1831, vol. II p. 395)
-14. See, all the Instruction included [כלולה, KLOoLaH] in saying [במאמר, BeMah’ahMahR] one – “and love to your neighbor like you.”
“The quotation is from Lev. [Leviticus] 19:18; cf. Rom. 13:8-10 [and Matt. [Matthew] 7:11 (Joseph A. Fitzmyer, 1990, TNJBC p. 789)]. The tense of the verb ‘fulfilled’ is perfect; thus Paul says that the whole law is fulfilled, in the sense of ‘has been fulfilled’ whenever one man loves another as himself…. Paul the Christian loved his neighbor not because a commandment disobeyed would bring punishment, or fulfilled would merit reward, but because it was his new nature to do to.
But who was Paul’s neighbor? He was, first of all, ‘the one who was near,’ the fellow member of the society of Christ who needed help to bear life’s burdens (6:2). Then, with continuously lengthening radius, Paul drew a series of concentric circles to embrace all men (6:10; I Thess. [Thessalonians] 5:15; I Cor. 9:22). Even his enemies were included, for Christ received sinners, and personal vengeance was no fruit of the Spirit (6:1; Rom. 12:20; 15:1-3). … He bore the burden of his neighbor’s sins, and although he sometimes had to threaten them, he was never without hope for their repentance (I Cor. 4; II Cor. 12:19-13:10; II Thess. 3:14-15). He could hurl anathemas, and his friends did not always find him easy to get on with … but the love of Christ would never permit him to contract the circle of his neighbors (Rom. 9:1-3; 10:1; II Cor. 7:5-16; 1:23-2:11). (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X p. 557)
...
…………………………………………
Fruit of the Spirit and usurpations of [ומעללי, OoMah`ahLahLaY] the flesh
[verses 16 to end of chapter]
-16. Say I to you, walk in way the spirit and do not fill [את, ’ehTh] desires [תאוות, Thah`ahVOTh] [of] the flesh,
-17. for the flesh desires [מתאוה, MeeTh’ahVeH] to what that is in opposition [שבנגוד, ShehBeNeeGOoD] to spirit, and the spirit is opposed [מתנגדת, MeeThNeGehDehTh] to the flesh. [The] two [of] them oppose to this to this, and to that [ולכן, OoLeKhayN] you are not able to do [את, ’ehTh] what that is in your want.
“This is Paul’s way of stating the Jewish doctrine of the ‘two impulses’ which are at war within the heart of man. The rabbis declared that God created Adam with two inclinations, one good, the other evil, and required him to choose which to obey. He was free to follow his good impulse, but he chose the evil, and so did all his descendants. Consequently every man became the Adam of his own soul. Some maintained that the evil impulse awakened at the age of nine, others at twelve. Study with practice of the Torah was the sovereign remedy to wear it away …” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X pp. 561)

-19. Deeds of the flesh are revealed [גלויים, GLOoYeeYM], and these are they:
adultery [נאוף, Nee’OoPh] and fornication, impurity [טמאה, TooM’aH], licentiousness [זמה, ZeeMaH], 20. slavery of idols, magic [כשוף KeeShOoPh in my Hebrew New Testamenti ; the Greek here is “φαρμακεια pharmakeia - the use of drugs of any kind, whether wholesome or poisonous...” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X p. 562] hatred, contention [מדון, MahDON], stinginess [צרות עין, TsahROoTh 'ahYeeN, “squint eyed”, Ζηλος Zelos jealousy], anger [כעס, Kah'ahÇ], strife [מריבה, MeReeYBaH], divisions [מחלקות, MahHLahQOTh], factions [כתות, KeeThOTh], 21. envy, drunkenness, profligacy [הוללות,HOLeLOoTh], and as similar.
Say I to what that I already said: doers of deeds like these will not inherit [את, ’ehTh] kingdom of the Gods.
“Πορνεια [Porneia] ... fornication ... means ‘prostitution’, but includes sexual vice and unfaithfulness to the marriage vow. The task of the church in creating a conscience on this matter was made doubly difficult by the practice of prostitution in the name of religion. Long before Paul, the prophets had denounced the fertility cults and made prostitution a synonym for idolatry.
Φαρμακεια [pharmakeia] ... Since witches and sorcerers used drugs, the word came to designate witchcraft, enchantment, sorcery, and magic. The law of Moses prescribed the death penalty for it, and the prophets denounced the Egyptians, Babylonians and Canaanites for practicing it; but this did not prevent the Jews from producing some famous practitioners (Acts 13:6-12; 19:1-20). Next to state-worship, magic was the most dangerous competitor of true religion... claiming to specialize in the impossible, it prostituted faith to superstition, and divorced religion from ethics. ... In Paul’s spiritual arithmetic, faith plus miracles minus love amounted exactly to zero....
Ερις [Eris] is ... strife ... The spirit of Eris is perfectly described in the words of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland – ‘ambition, distraction, uglification, and derision.’
The fact that he expected the near return of Christ to end this present age must not be permitted to obscure the equally important fact that he regarded his own life and witness for Christ as an essential element in hastening that event.” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X pp. 561-565)
-22. In opposition to [לעמת, Le`ooMahTh] this, fruit of spirit:
he is love, happiness, peace, patience, [ארך רוח, ’oRehKh Roo-ahH, “length [of] spirit”] generosity, good heart, faithfulness, 23. modesty [עננה, `ahNahNaH], restraint [רסון, ReeÇOoN] [of] self– upon such [מדות, MeeDOTh] as these there is no instruction further [חלה, HahLaH, sic ["so in cite"] for חלאה, HahL’aH!].
“Since love is a personal relation it is not a matter of law, and cannot be commanded; and since it is God’s own love growing as his ‘fruit’ in the hearts of men, no one can claim it as a merit for self-salvation. ...
... in every age ... men have found it hard to see how God could have anything in common with humanity, and Christians have been tempted to make a distinction in kind between God’s love and man’s love. Paul’s authority has been claimed for this dualistic view. Αγαπη [agape’] is set against ερος [eros]. God’s love is said to be αγαπη reaching down to save man by his grace, and ερος man’s self-love aspiring upward to save himself. Paul’s αγαπη is associated with justification by faith, the Greek ερος with salvation by works.... Jerusalem and the Christian faith are made to oppose Athens and human reason, and the conclusion is drawn from the history of Christianity that ερος, man’s self love, has always been a source of corruption of αγαπη, love inspired by God’s grace.
This interpretation of Christian love is intended as a defense of the doctrine of justification by faith and as a means of securing scriptural support for a dualistic philosophy which aims to protect the transcendence of God against humanism. But to draw such sweeping conclusions from a word study of two Greek nouns, without adequate consideration of other related Greek words and ideas, is to oversimplify. The LXX [The Septuagint, the ancient Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible] is full of evidence that this distinction between αγαπη and ερος cannot be maintained on the basis of lexicography. The Greek O.T. [Old Testament] uses both the noun αγαπη and the verb αγαπαω [agapao] to express not only God’s love for men, but man’s love for God and for his fellow man. Although there is no certain evidence that the noun αγαπη was used by nonbiblical writers prior to Christianity, the argument from silence may be invalidated by future discoveries, and it would be precarious to conclude that αγαπη was a specifically Christian word.
One-sided emphasis on God’s love as ‘unmotivated’ by anything in his creatures tempts men to regard him in the light of an egotistical philanthropist who expects gratitude and praise but neither needs nor desires the mutuality that is inherent in the very nature of love... Without a faith that dares humbly to believe that God needs man’s love ... the Christian’s conception of his high calling to be a kingdom builder is liable to reduce itself to blind obedience to commands given arbitrarily for man’s good while awaiting God’s eschatological fiat. Such a misconception is bound to give aid and comfort to the inclination of human nature – ‘the flesh’ – to divorce religion from ethics.
Grave moral consequences result from such a view of Christian love. It is associated with a doctrine of predestination that makes God’s choice of the objects of his salvation utterly arbitrary.” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X pp. 565-566)
“The peace which was the fruit of the Spirit ... could be trusted to keep men's hearts and minds (Phil. 4:7), so that they need have not anxiety about anything. This explains the sublime recklessness of the Christian peacemakers. Being colaborers with God (Rom. 8:28), they were aggressors for peace. They aimed to live at peace with all men (Rom. 12:18), but fear of making enemies did not turn them from their task of producing soundness, wholeness, and harmony in a world of chaos. Their reasonable service was to ... substitute the righteousness and peace and joy of his [God's] kingdom (Rom. 14:17) for the low aims of 'the flesh,' thereby creating the conditions for peace. Their ideal was to live so that quarrels could never get started.
Christian peace was therefore neither the calm of inactivity nor the mere passive enjoyment of freedom from strife. It was not the imperturbability of the Epicurean, or the apathy of the Stoic, or the contemplation of the mystic. The man who possessed it was not exempt from storm and shipwreck, but by faith he knew that he would arrive in port (Acts 27:21-25), and that all was well for him and his fellow men of faith ... And so, where all else was panic, he played the man.” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X pp. 567)
“... just as God’s patience was not to be presumed upon, so the Christian’s patience was not a spiritless good nature that would put up with things which it could not escape, or would not prevent. It was patience with a purpose, as in Paul’s pleas to Philemon, which contrasts so sharply with the Stoic motive for self control... Those who bore this fruit ‘turned the world upside down’ (Acts 17:6), and the enemy did not know how to deal with such unheard of patience and persistence.” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X pp. 568)
“Negatively defined, gentleness is everything that the ‘insolent, haughty, boastful’ men of Rom. 1:30 are not. It is the opposite of υβρις [hubris], the worst of sins in the eyes of the Greeks – deliberate, arrogant defiance of the gods by overstepping the limits set for human beings. In the O.T. such men are called ‘sons of Belial,’ the turbulent, highhanded wicked, who rage against God, kill, rob and enslave the righteous ‘meek’ and take possession of the earth for themselves. The psalms are full of moans and complaints against this rich and powerful majority, who used religion as a means of gain and kept their consciences in flexible subservience to the exigencies of power.” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X pp. 569)
“’Εγκρατεια [Egkrateia] is temperance (KJV [King James Version]), self-control (RSV [Revised Standard Version]) ....
The Stoics had helped to prepare the soil out of which this fruit of the Spirit was to grow. They insisted that the sovereign reason could and should control the passions. They believed in a law of nature to which they must conform, and they endeavored to maintain their inner freedom under all circumstances. But their motive was very different from Paul’s, the one being devoted to the glory of the God of grace, the other to the preservation of the sovereign self-will. When the Stoic collided with things beyond his control, his inner independence turned into apathy, practicing the motto ‘When we can’t do what we want, we want to do what we can.’ He took orders from his commander in chief, an impersonal God who had the power of life or death; but he did it in such a way as to make it clear to God and men that he, the Stoic, was after all the captain of his soul. He controlled his anger because he found it a nuisance to be under the power of any passion and in his sight meekness was contemptible weakness...
Paul exalted humility: ‘It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me’ (2:20). ... His self-discipline was the result of his spiritual experiences, rather than an undertaking to induce them; and his self-control was sane compared with the ascetic excesses of later Christian groups such as the ‘Encratites,’ who forbade marriage and followed fantastic dietary rules.” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X pp. 569-570)
“Unrepentant sinners have no appetite for the fruit of the Spirit, and when its production and distribution require changes in the political and economic status quo, men ... pass laws against it ... Especially in time of war these traits of Christian character have been forbidden fruit, though given for the healing of the nations. Occasionally the world, exhausted with fighting, and sick of its cynical Epicureanism, has professed a desire for the fruits of the Spirit, but on its own terms without the cross required to produce them.” (Stamm, 1953, TIB X p. 570)
... 26. Do not, please [נא, Nah’] be panters of [שואפי, ShO’ahPhaY] honor vain [שוא, ShahVe’], the provokers [המתגרים, HahMeeThGahReeYM] and enviers [ומקנאים, OoMQahN’eeYM] a man in his neighbor.
“The right stood in terror of the iconoclasm of the left, and the radicals labeled all other men reactionaries ... Both sides professed to love liberty and defend it, but neither was willing to grant it to the other.” (Stamm, 1953, TIB vol. X p. 572)   END NOTE

2023.06.09 17:13 thejubilee Bugs that aren't crickets

Hi! We recently got a new bearded dragon friend. My son does most of the feeding and has been having trouble with crickets (and having a lot of them die as well). We've tried black fly larvae and some other sort of worm-like animal I can't remember the name of, but they seem really small compared to even the small crickets we got originally.
I want to make sure our friend gets all his nutrition, but I am really not sure what the best options we can try for protein. There are so many online resources but they don't always agree and rarely include concerns like price etc.
Is there a type of bug we should consider purchasing for our friend that is fairly inexpensive for the amount he gets to eat, other than crickets? Ideally something slightly hardier too?

Our league dues are $50. As you can see the upside is huge, and the opportunities to make money and win are numerous. We have a great group of active owners who love to chat and trade. We utilize Discord to have a league-wide chat along with division specific chats.
In our league we have new owners join through a dispersal draft. We start with a lottery to order new owners, then you will have the opportunity to join a division and draft from the pool of available players. All players and picks owned by owners that left will be included in the dispersal. Any team listed as Open on the home page will be part of the dispersal draft. The asset list linked above shows you which players and picks will be available in the dispersal drafts for each division.
We will ask that new owners pay for this year and next year to ensure you are serious about participating. Most owners pay a year in advance anyways because our rules require it in order to trade future picks. While we don't know how many open spots we'll have yet if you express interest now you'll certainly get a spot.
If you are interested or you have any questions that you'd like answered before joining feel free to reach out to me via DM or just replying in this thread.

2023.06.09 17:09 neograds AITA? A developer wants to be paid his normal rate for interviewing candidates to join the team.

Hi guys. I hired a freelance full stack dev to complete an app. It became clear that more help is needed. I let him know that I have X interviews setup. He repeatedly asked to join the interviews/let him conduct the interviews so that he could make sure we're not bringing on devs who are inexperienced. He asked multiple times. I said ok. We've interviewed candidates this week.
I got frustrated with him at some points because within 15min of simple coding snippet problems, you can tell if a candidate understands basics or not, so you can end the interview or continue. I repeatedly noticed him wanting to continue interviews when candidates would get easy questions wrong. I told him hey, let's move on to the next person if you feel like they don't know basic things. He would say no no let's just continue for the rest of the interview and see how they do. Obviously, none of those candidates were ones that he wanted to move forward yet we wasted 1 hour on each candidate.
End of the week comes and he's demanding (very rudely) to be sent a sum of money for conducting the interviews when we never discussed that at all. Here's what I sent him. AITA? For more context, last week he tried to bring on a friend of his to join the project. The friend wanted to get paid hourly instead of fixed rate. I gave the friend a very simple 1h task. He did not follow instructions and did not complete it for 3 days (obviously thinking he was going to milk the hourly arrangement). I fired the friend and let this guy know. Now, I feel the friend has tried to put a bug in his ear.
Here's what I sent:
Nirav, you can relax your tone. We never spoke about you getting paid for the interviews. I was under the impression you asked to do it because you wanted to vet the candidates that would be joining, understanding that you want to be with this long term and have a say in who might join long term. You know that I have a very strict budget to get this completed. I wish you were clear that you were expecting X for the interviews. If I had known that, I would've asked for the questions from you and just done all the interviews myself. Given that the expectations were not communicated, what now do you want to be paid for the interviews?

2023.06.09 17:09 TypicalDesk6573 Best Vets for Reactive Dogs

Hi Astoria Pet Owners,
My pup is reactive and gets very stressed at our vet (Animal Clinic of Long Island City). While we appreciate that they always get us in during emergencies, the small office, animals roaming around, and general chaos make our visits always stressful. Plus, it's been a challenge to find a vet who will work with us on making the experience easier for our dog (getting a muzzle on, how we can best prepare her, etc).
Do any of you with reactive dogs have a neighborhood vet you recommend?

2023.06.09 17:08 Altruistic_Sea1245 Sick Time

Hi everyone, I got offered a full time nanny position. I haven’t given the family an answer yet. Overall the job is really great, the only problem is they only offer one paid sick day. They both work in the medical field and that’s why they don’t offer more. I tried to talk to MB about this and she said you only call off if your on your death bed. I think it’s very unreasonable to only offer one sick day because we’re all human and we all get sick throughout the year. And from the sounds of it she wants someone who’s a robot who will never call off and always be there for them. Other than this the job is really great, I even talked with there current nanny and she had nothing bad to say about the job or the family.
Would the sick time be a deal breaker for anyone? Has anyone else experienced something like this and If so how did you make it work?

2023.06.09 17:08 brsch123w Jaw Titan Crack Theory

Jaw Titan Crack Theory
The Jaw Titan will be very important in Falco delivering his last message for Eren and showing Mikasa memories which will cause the divergence.
I believe the Jaw Titan has a discrete memory transfer ability that we’ve actually seen twice already.
First happens when Historia is reading Ymir’s note and once she touches it in a certain way she receives Ymir’s memories. This could be dismissed easily if it weren’t for one more instance.
When Reiner is holding Eren down in the battle of shiganshina, Reiner attempts to help a hurt Porco and grabs him, once he touches Porco he see’s Porco’s memories.
Now in both of these instances Reiner and Historia obviously did not eat Porco or Ymir so there is no other obvious way they would get another person’s memories so I believe that the Jaw Titan could have an ability around memory transfer that hasn’t been discussed yet.
This makes massive sense for AOE and Falco as a popular theory now is 138 divergence, right before Mikasa goes for the kill she receives memories causing a different decision.
And what is Mikasa doing right before she goes for the kill? She is riding on Falco’s Jaw Titan, and of course Falco received anime only memories from Eren.
It is set up perfectly for Falco to use this ability and Falco give Mikasa the memories causing the divergence.
With the theme of Falco being the messenger plus the “Shock” visuals and lyrics it’s just set up too good but yeah what do y’all think.

P2 Virtual Selling Accelerator – How to become a Virtual Selling Master in Just 5 Days! P2 Virtual Selling Accelerator Overview Virtual selling is no longer optional—it’s an absolute necessity. And even if circumstances change, you’ve seen how the ability to sell and close deals virtually can give you the income, lifestyle and retirement you’ve always dreamed of. But as we all know, selling virtually is not the same as selling face to face for a host of reasons. Often the prospects you sell virtually haven’t seen you present for 90 minutes at a seminar. They definitely aren’t in the confined quiet of your office…and they are most likely being distracted by whatever is going on at home. Plus you don’t have the rapport of being face to face, or the non-verbal communication so important in selling. That’s why—in just a few days—Ethan and I are hosting a 5-day crash course called Presuppostional Playbook (P2) Virtual Selling ACCLERATOR. Normally, we’d push out the launch of a new program 30-60 days, but for obvious reasons, THIS CANNOT WAIT. If you’re willing to give us 90 minutes for 5 straight days, we’ll give you everything you need to master ALL aspects of the virtual selling process, from that first appointment to getting paid. And yes, this even includes technical training and lead generation. Whether you’ve never made a sale virtually and are terrified by the idea… or you currently sell virtually but want to take your sales to the next level, the P2 Virtual Selling Accelerator gives you the scripts, steps, questions and even presentations we’ve used to sell virtually for the past 10 years…and it accellerates your results because you’ll get it all in just 5 days!

2023.06.09 17:05 kill4kandy How do I get a passport for my son? We have no contact information for his father.

My son's father and I divorced 14 years ago. My son is now 15 and we need to get him a passport for a trip we are taking next year.
I haven't heard a word from his dad in 14 years. He hasn't paid child support, totally different issue, so I don't even know of an employer that I could start with to try and contact him.
Any advice is much appreciated.

2023.06.09 17:04 ColmJF Cur isteach

Tá chuid is mó de mo ghaeilge caillte so tà brón orm bearla a úsáid! But I'm curious about something my parents and grandparents use. Grew up in Kerry and part of my family are from west Cork but we often say "don't put the cur isteach on me/us". For example if there was a football or rugby game on and someone said we are definitely going to win, someone would say don't put the cur isteach on us. As in don't jinx or curse us.
I was wondering is this common or are my family just weird. I tried googling it but all I get is don't disturb, but the way they've always used it it feels more like you are going to jinx things or cause bad luck

2023.06.09 17:04 Apprehensive_Term70 Legality of various items in Greenland

Hey guys, a few months ago I posted a thread about looking at job opportunities and living in Greenland and today I accepted an absolute dream job, starting in August, on the most beautiful island in the world. Honestly, I'm as surprised as you probably are that it worked out that well, but I guess I got lucky. Anyway, the company I'll be working for provides a pretty decent relocation package of a single paid for 5ft container that'll work out ok since I won't be bringing furniture to the provided accommodations. But this begs the question, I'm a pretty avid archer and I have a compound bow. Is this legal and could I just throw it in the container or would it count as a weapon and need a license/special transport? In which case I'll probably leave it, honestly, but It'd be nice to keep up with it. I'm also trying to quit smoking and so I've switched to that most wondrous of Swedish exports: snus. I know the last time we came a few people brought snus for personal use, but I don't know if that was just overlooked or not. I was thinking of throwing at least a dozen or two boxes in there to help me survive in a stressy environment before I quit all the way. We all know quitting when you're not ready just ain't happening. Legal to import for personal use?
Oh, and any tips for stuff that's hard or expensive to get in Greenland I may want to have a supply of in general?

The Copywriter’s 6-Figure Income Sprint

My Proven “Turn Key” Business Model to Earn a Consistent – Per Month, Every Month, With Fewer Clients, Making a Deeper Impact, and Taking Back Your Life
📷
Are you ready to transform your freelance copywriting job into a sustainable, scalable, and wildly profitable 6-figure business in as fast as 60 days like Chris?
Not only did this work for Chris, I discovered this model as I grew to per month of income in less than 24 months…
While having STRICT client boundaries, NOT working weekends, NOT working evenings, and vacationing multiple times per year…
AND delivered the best (record breaking) results for my clients.
I’m going to show you exactly how I did it.
Join me as I guide you step-by-step through an ultra-personal video-course experience to…
  • STOP providing strategy and consulting for free
  • STOP being an order taker
  • STOP selling “words on a page”
  • STOP bidding projects
  • STOP the never-ending cycle of prospecting for the next client
  • STOP the feast-famine cycle (best month followed by worst)
  • STOP letting clients control your life and walk all over you
And most importantly…
  • START getting paid (a lot) for strategy and consulting
  • START being an advisor to clients who respect you
  • START providing comprehensive strategy (first) and copywriting
  • START earning – per client (even small biz’s)
  • START developing deeper relationships with your clients
  • START earning consistent, predictable, reliable income every single month
  • START taking care of YOU, set boundaries, and build your business around your life
You’ll be guided through my easy-to-follow, 6-step process to learn the theory behind the pivots you’ll be making for your own businesses.
Then we’ll shift our focus to execution.
Each module has a “business assignment,” so you’ll experience wins damn-near every day you’re in there building your business.
It will all come together, one puzzle piece at a time.
You’re going to experience a massive transformation – both personally and professionally as you reposition and repackage your existing services into a high-ticket, retainer model business that will empower you to earn… or even PER MONTH with only a handful of clients that you actually LOVE working with.
But it ain’t all about the money, honey.
This is about building your LIFE first.
Because burnout happens when you are trying to fit in everything that’s truly important “when there’s time.”
(This is the miserable cycle of “fitting my life in around my business” — been there?)
What’s important for you to have more time for?
For me, it’s time with my wife, our 2 dogs, friends, mountain biking, fitness, cooking, travel, and unplugging in nature. ← All things I didn’t have time for when I was non-stop prospecting and reacting to client demands…
Listen, The Copywriter’s 6-Figure Income Sprint is no-fluff, jam-packed with value, and has literally everything you need to implement this “turn key” business plan and create your new lifestyle business earning serious money in as fast as 60 days if you apply these steps as you learn.

2023.06.09 17:02 Apprehensive-Day1600 Salary but get paid hourly?? PA

Hi, I’m an assistant manager at a fast food restaurant. When I was asked to be the assistant manager I was told they’d give me 45K yearly salary based on 45 hours a week. We get paid weekly. But my paychecks are not a fixed rate. I get paid for the hours I worked. So if I work 35 I only get paid for 35 hours not the full 45. If I work over 45 hours I get paid the same rate no over time. It doesn’t make sense to me and not sure if it even legal. I feel like it is a way for the owner to get out of paying overtime? And google doesn’t give me straight forward answers. Clearly I am not getting the 45K I was promised. anytime I ask why their salary is set up this way they give me the run around and don’t really explain. I would appreciate any help and answers. Thanks!

2023.06.09 17:02 wintersvnn my boyfriend (23M) and i (23F) are in very different places literally and figuratively.. and idk what to do and where this is going

before the pandemic started and before we graduated college, me of the things that always popped into my head was how we would be in the future. like many of us in a relationship do. we think about the future. but back then, when we both lived in the city for university, it was different because we were both at each other’s reach and had big dreams as we were still studying.
come the pandemic and graduation, it seems that life kept drifting us apart. since he lived in Cebu, he came back to live with his parents, where at the beginning of the pandemic, he said was bad for his mental health as he wasnt used to the province life anymore after being in the city for university. he felt like he couldnt grow there, he felt trapped. so naturally, his mental state caused a bit of problems in our relationship at the time but it was nothing we couldnt get past.
then graduation came. he came to the city with his family, and stayed for a bit longer so we could spend more time together before he moves for work. he had to relocate for work, at a place further than he already was as his first job required him to move to a new country. it was only a little time difference, but the culture shock and homesickness got to him so he went back to his parents house shortly after.
as for me, i continued working in Makati where i also had my internship and started building the career i’ve always wanted.
he on the other hand, after resting for a bit, found a new online job that he really loved and excelled at. he finally had a job that could also be his creative outlet and it paid really well.
and though it may seem that we both are doing well now, it just worries me and makes me sad that we’re in very different places literally and figuratively.
so of course, we tried talking about moving in together in the next couple of years. the only problem is, none of us would budge.
despite him having a job that is completely remote, he doesnt want to leave his parents’ home. me on the other hand, im not ready to leave the corporate ladder i want to climb. i have so much more to achieve and do and there was nothing waiting for me where he was living, yet there is seemingly a lot more in store for him in the city.
at this point, i really dont know what to do. we know we want to build a future together, but is that possible when no one wants to compromise?

2023.06.09 16:58 Visible-Artist-985 Do I have to sign an amended tenancy agreement if I’ve already paid all my rent and moved out?

(England)
Essentially, someone on the letting company’s side forgot to sign my tenancy agreement, my tenancy is up next month and I have already moved out yet both me and my guarantor have been bombarded with messages telling me we need to sign this amended tenancy agreement for the period of 2022-23 due to an error of a missing signature on their end. I’ve paid all my rent, I no longer reside in the property- do I have to sign this amended tenancy agreement when the agreement is literally due to end in a few weeks? It just seems a bit strange to me it took them over a whole year to discover this.
