The Risks of Leaky Non-Sterilizing Vaccines: Safeguarding Our Future
2023.05.30 00:19 ART_AUTHORITY The Risks of Leaky Non-Sterilizing Vaccines: Safeguarding Our Future
| Introduction: In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic it is important to critically evaluate the potential risks associated with leaky non-sterilizing vaccines. This pamphlet aims to discuss the concerns surrounding vaccine-induced viral evolution, the prioritization of future generations, and the potential long-term consequences of widespread vaccination. - The Risk of Vaccine-Induced Viral Evolution: Leaky non-sterilizing vaccines, which may not prevent transmission entirely, raise concerns regarding the evolution of more virulent strains. By allowing infected individuals to pass on the virus, these vaccines potentially expose the virus to selective pressures, enabling it to mutate and become more dangerous. This risk should not be underestimated, as it may lead to the emergence of semi-manmade deadly super variants.
- Weighing the Benefits against the Risks: While the vaccines currently available against COVID-19 offer some level of protection, their efficacy varies. Considering the potential risks of viral evolution and the relatively modest efficacy of certain vaccines, it is crucial to carefully evaluate the balance between benefits and risks. Saving the lives of non-reproducing older individuals who have already lived their lives may seem less vital when weighed against the potential risks to future generations.
- Prioritizing Future Generations: As a society, we have an ethical responsibility to prioritize the welfare of future generations. While protecting vulnerable populations, including the elderly, is essential, it is important to consider the long-term implications of our actions. Allocating resources solely to safeguard older individuals, at the cost of potential harm to future generations, may impede progress and limit the prospects for the young.
- Long-Term Consequences of Booster Shots: The reliance on booster shots to combat emerging variants poses concerns for the future. Constantly adapting vaccines to address new strains may create a perpetual cycle of vaccinations, potentially leading to unforeseen consequences. There is a risk that booster shots, when administered without proper research and evaluation, could have unintended side effects and cause more harm than the current benign coronavirus itself.
Conclusion: While acknowledging the importance of safeguarding public health, we must carefully consider the potential risks associated with leaky non-sterilizing vaccines. The risk of vaccine-induced viral evolution into more virulent strains, the prioritization of future generations over older populations, and the potential long-term consequences of booster shots should be thoroughly evaluated. It is crucial to maintain a balanced approach to vaccination, weighing the benefits against the risks, to ensure the well-being of both current and future generations. submitted by ART_AUTHORITY to CoronavirusCirclejerk [link] [comments] |

2023.05.30 00:10 DifferentEqual6976 GEHA HDHP email
Does anyone know to to email a out-of-network claim to GEHA? I could do that in the past, but now with United Health being the provider, I cannot find any email address on the GEHA site. All I see is a postal address and I am not a fan of using the post as I have no record of it being received by GEHA for processing and do not want to go with the extra cost for tracking etc. I am a FED retiree.
No luck with Google either.

2023.05.30 00:07 yurrm0mm What are good jobs for people who work best alone?
My SO has a hard time holding a job. Currently is seeing a mental health professional for ADHD, but the doctor seems like a quack so that area still needs to be addressed.
Anyway, he enjoyed being a driver (non CDL) and doing deliveries as he does best without micromanagement and doesn’t have the best interpersonal skills. He’s certified in Fork Lift operation, but he seems to have trouble focusing in a warehouse setting. He was a picker for a while, but it got tough because he would rush thru and forget important pieces.
I’ve been brainstorming what he can search for that would meet his needs financially while also offering him the success that seems to only be possible while working on his own. I thought about maintenance jobs, overnight custodian work, courier services, but I’m wondering what other blue-collar (no degree, just a GED) solo positions are out there? Even if they require a short certification, it could be worth it for consistency and piece of mind. Thanks.
*edit: does to doesn’t, oops.

2023.05.29 23:50 EntrepreneurDry9155 Title: E-cigarette Vapor Induces Bladder Cancer Cells to Release Extracellular Vesicles That Promote Urothelial Cell Transformation
Hello fellow Redditors,
I wanted to share an article that I came across in the journal 'Nature':
E-cigarette Vapor Induces Bladder Cancer Cells to Release Extracellular Vesicles That Promote Urothelial Cell Transformation.
The article addresses a significant gap in our understanding of the role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in bladder cancer progression and how e-cigarette use might influence bladder cancer risk.
The central hypothesis of the study is that e-cigarette aerosols and cigarette smoke extract can trigger bladder cancer cells to release EVs, which can then drive the transformation of urothelial cells - a phenomenon known as field cancerization.
Here are the 6 key findings from the study:
- Exposure to e-cigarette aerosols and cigarette smoke extract induces bladder cancer cells to release EVs. These EVs appear to have the ability to promote urothelial cell transformation, potentially contributing to bladder cancer development.
- Protein cargo profiles of EVs from bladder cancer cells exposed to e-cigarette aerosols and cigarette smoke extract are remarkably similar. This suggests that other components of EVs, such as lipids or microRNAs, may contribute to genotoxicity and oxidative stress pathways.
- E-cigarette aerosols and cigarette smoke extract have a direct harmful effect on bladder cells, causing oxidative stress and DNA damage. This indicates that these substances could be damaging to bladder cells even before EVs come into play.
- Both e-cigarette aerosols and cigarette smoke extract can activate the KEAP1-NFE2L2 pathway, which plays a significant role in the cellular response to oxidative stress.
- E-cigarette aerosols and cigarette smoke extract can alter gene expression in bladder cells, specifically, those involved in cell cycle regulation, DNA repair, and apoptosis. These are all critical processes in preventing cancer development.
- In experiments involving mice, exposure to e-cigarette aerosols was found to induce bladder toxicity, suggesting that e-cigarette use could pose potential health risks.
This study provides significant insights into the potential risks associated with e-cigarette use. It's crucial that we continue to study and understand these impacts, especially as e-cigarette use becomes more prevalent.
Please read the full article for a more in-depth understanding. I'd love to hear your thoughts and start a discussion on this topic!

2023.05.29 23:42 hueller Mentally Unstable Wedding Guest
Hi guys. Here's a fun and nerve-wracking little story that is slowly developing re: my wedding this October.
So one of my relatives (34M) who lives 3+ hours away has been going through a battle with addiction and severe mental health since 2011 or earlier. Since then, he's been in and out of the lives of me and my other family members. At present, it seems he has delved into the online world of Andrew Tate and has now designated all women in our family as "man-haters".
My mom and I are independent, self-sufficient, strong women who are very outspoken. Our views aren't obnoxiously feminist but I know men are often intimidated by our attitudes. It has also been a goal of she and I to include this family member and help him to rehabilitate himself wherever possible. As of late, this hasn't been easy.
His mom and sister are much more meek in their demeanor and don't like to ruffle feathers. They have been walked all over by him for many years. Now that he has distanced himself, they feel much more free.
Our grandma is extremely deaf. She has poor conversational skills and often talks over whoever is in the middle of a story or sentence. He has interpreted this as sexist behaviour towards him.
This information all came to light after the invitations had been made. This relative is no longer speaking to the female members of our family. I passed the invitation along to his mom (my aunt) in the event that things are patched up in time for the wedding/RSVP date and I honestly didn't expect that to happen. She passed the invitation along to another relative, who passed it on to him.
Now I'm having mixed feelings. I'm a bit paranoid that things will go wrong or get violent if he is present. He now has the address of the church and venue, so if he wanted to disrupt the event, it is certainly within his capacity to do so. He does not have transportation to get here alone - he would need to carpool with his mom and dad.
I don't know how to proceed. I guess it's a "whatever will be, will be" situation. Sorry for the rant. Thanks for reading if you got this far.

2023.05.29 23:38 No_Business_3290 Idk if I’m (26F) the abuser or abused one in my marriage of 11 months to my husband (28M)
I’m married for 11 months to a person I chose. I was brought up in a family where my father was mostly away. My mother was very young when she conceived me, she was a teen. So you can realise the trauma i might have been through. To give an idea, after turning 15 I came to know my mother was raped by my father. So I’ve my own struggles coping with all these. I developed anxiety, co-dependency. My past relationships didn’t help either. A 7 yr relationship ended because of my ex’s addiction problem. So I really struggle with believing people, or their intentions with me.
However, a year ago I decided to marry a person I’ve known for over a decade. He was a friend and when things turned romantic I was head over heels for him. The transition was so smooth. There was no awkwardness. But the red flags I ignored was love bombing, him turning away just a few months after we got together. I also saw a controlling side of him. He can get very possessive and angry. He’s very rigid with what he believes in. If I’m being honest I didn’t take much time exploring our relationship. I had good faith in him as he has been an amazing friend, our chemistry was spot on. But he has this cycle where he will get angry at the smallest things i.e me being upset/distant. And I’ve believed for a long time I cause his anger. I’ve tried to mend my “ways” like limiting my alone time or not becoming silent and addressing the issues. But nothing seems to help. His pattern is always the same, he gets angry, he screams at me, he says very hurtful things, he blames me for his actions but then he APOLOGISES!! Admits he was wrong and promises to never do this again. But this cycle doesn’t stop.
To give an idea, A few days before we got married, he pointed out how my family wasn’t doing anything “special” for him, which really hurt me. As I had to sacrifice a lot, and had zero demands from him. I was very understanding about the whole situation and all I really wanted was to marry the love of my life, that was my only focus. And so the most expenses in my wedding was done by my family. I bought him expensive gifts with my own money, I also shared the hotel booking cost with him for our nuptial night. Even if you keep these financial responsibilities aside, our whole wedding was planned and executed to every details by me only. I had just gotten into a job but managed to do do it all in less than 3 weeks. And after we got married, my father paid every expense for me to be with him in a foreign country where he is pursuing his masters. I did all the research and paperwork, whatever was needed. And i did all of these HAPPILY for him. I didn’t expect an extravagant wedding or gifts from him. We didn’t even get to go on a honeymoon. And I was understanding about every single thing.
But during that argument, just two days before our wedding, he got a little handsy with me for the first time. Grabbing my face/neck, telling me how he is to blame for giving me so much “courage” to disrespect him. Simply ‘cause I told him he was small minded for even thinking like that. Because I was very hurt by it. It seemed like he was taking all of these for granted. And since we got married this has happened atleast 4 times. He has promised to see a therapist for this, because he too believed he needs it. But it’s been weeks and he doesn’t make effort. Tonight I brought it up and he told me how hard I am on him, How much I hurt him, How I’m not doing enough for him.
I’m not in a good headspace to write but if I summarise my abusiveness-
- I am toxic as in I become silent when I can’t emotionally cope with a situation.
- I give silent treatment that can be hurtful.
- If he uses sentences like “you’ll never change” “you are so hard on me” “nothing will make you happy” I get extremely triggered and my reactions can be ugly. I get very confrontational and I get really angry too.
- If we fight I always bring up previous issues (that still haven’t been resolved).
- I jump to conclusions very easily. I use sentences like: I will leave you if this continues. Or that I will go back to my parents. Or you’ve ruined my life.
- One time I during our fight I got scared that he might hit me, so I pushed him, hit him in the chest telling him to get away. But he hadn’t really hit me. And this made him cry uncontrollably. (But I’ve never repeated it and I will never again do this to a person I love so wholeheartedly.)
- Whenever he starts shouting I try to leave the room this causes him to hold me down.
I have really been trying to acknowledge and minimise my toxicity to make this work. But I hardly ever start a fight or even If do I don’t make things nasty. I always hope it will go as a normal conversation where I’ll be heard and understood. And if not I won’t be abused at-least. I’ve really tried to communicate things to him instead of going silent but it seems like that causes more argument.
30 mins ago I was uncontrollably sobbing and looking down from the terrace in a trance thinking of jumping off.. simply cause I am not being able to process. I know tomorrow morning I’ve to patch things up with him and accept his apologies and move on. And things will be good for another week too until it’s not. I’m going crazy trying to figure out where I’m wrong? It’s like no matter what I do or say can be turned against me. And all the pain and hard work I go through seems meaningless.
Note: I’m in a foreign country with him and I don’t have health insurance. So I can’t access therapy or seek professional help if I want to. I’m supporting myself with a small job since he’s a student. So don’t suggest psychiatrist or therapy for me. We also can’t go into couple counselling. Please share your valuable opinions/suggestions on what to do.
Tl;dr: Even though my husband has anger issues who gets angry for the smallest thing and sometimes gets a little handsy, I am still unsure if I’m playing any role to cause it. I don’t react loudly like him but I get distant. I give silent treatment. I try to wake up and leave mid-argument if he starts shouting. I bring up previous issues in fight that haven’t been resolved. I jump to conclusions and threaten to leave him when things turn ugly between us.

2023.05.29 23:21 Airport_In_Greenland [M4F] It's only taken 3 years for 80% of the Earth's population to be fully wiped out. For some reason, we survived the sickness. Now, with our small collection of fellow survivors, we have to figure out why didn't die and if humanity stands a chance.
The year is 2062, 3 years after a largely unknown sickness swept through the world. The sickness targeted people seemingly randomly, affecting the elderly and infirm as strongly as those who were considered in perfect health. Humans, animals, birds, reptiles, insects; nothing seemed safe from the sickness. It had wiped out entire countries in South America and Europe, leaving vast swaths of land a haunted and quiet place. The sickness started as a dry, whooping cough that gradually began to produce a dark red liquid. At this point, there was virtually no hope for the patient. The only mercy that could be shown to them was morphine as they experienced hellish fevers and delusions. Between the 2nd and 4th day, the nervous system quickly shut down, followed by all brain activity ceasing, leaving an empty husk in the place of what was once a living creature. The world governments had failed spectacularly in their efforts to address the illness, leading to hundreds of millions of deaths. By the time a coordinated effort was rallied against the sickness, countries such as Russia, Brazil, and Canada had all but collapsed. By the time a shred of hope had appeared, the list of decimated countries was far, *far* longer than those who held together, even if only by a thread. That hope came in the form of a small collection of people who, for reasons entirely unknown, had not succumbed to the nervous system damage and eventually recovered, surviving the sickness. These individuals had been gathered, forced into a nuclear silo quarantine and outfitted with as much medical and scientific technology as could be spared, and sealed inside against a possible re-contamination. There, we meet. Two survivors, changed forever by the sickness that had tried to kill us and succeeded with over 80% of humanity at this point. Together, with our small collection of fellow survivors, we are tasked with bringing humanity back from the brink. __________________________________ Hello there! My name is Zane and I'm looking for a literate partner to join me in an apocalyptic RP! Our character managed to survive a sickness that has killed virtually all of the people who have been inflicted by it. I would like for this to be a somewhat longterm RP and I'm not locked in on what the disease actually is. Maybe we figure it out as we go along, maybe we decide together beforehand and let our characters figure it out step by step. This is a bit more grim of an RP than I've done before, but I would still want there to be some room for romance! I generally write between 1-3 paragraphs and am looking for someone who is willing to meet me at that amount. Also, I generally prefer first person, but am just fine with third person if that's your preference and you prefer third! After all, one of the roles of the survivors is to help repopulate the world. My kinks are pretty general, my main limits are scat and rape. I RP over Discord, but feel free to shoot me a Reddit message (not chat). Also, I will be ignoring one-liner messages, just a fair warning. I look forward to writing with you!

2023.05.29 22:49 KWHITY21 Enquiry regarding our missing relative/family friend
summary of what’s happened:
family member cannot be located at his home address or anywhere else, we (relatives) have visited knocked, left notes, called and we have had no luck in contacting him.
It’s been since 25/05/23 since anyone last heard from him, his car is outside his house, curtains drawn.
On Thursday his ex wife (my nan) called the local police to request a welfare check, it’s this is very unlike him, she was told they would back.
On Saturday, I called as my nan is very distressed, to request an update, they advised they would call me back instead and provide one.
They didn’t call back, so I rang them today (29/05/23) and received the following information:
Unable to provide further context, however said person is in a safe location, they have not visited or been inside his property, but they know from a ‘reliable source’ he is safe and well, this organisation is apart of the UK government and they will return at some point and make contact with loved ones.
Have called local hospital, mental health rehab clinic and no one of his name has been admitted.
Called again today, operated wasn’t that cooperative however said the above is a scripted response to someone who does not want to be located.
Us as his family have no information, can anyone help us here to understand what these calls mean, he is vulnerable and 80 years old.

2023.05.29 22:42 k_trojan9 The apology you deserve.
Dear K,
Everyday I write a note/letter to you, just to delete it or crumble it up and throw it away. This however will be the last one I ever write. Maybe one day I will send it to you. Maybe on the day our divorce is final, when you deserve to read what you’ve always deserved from me.
I’ve forgiven you and I have come to terms with respecting your choice on wanting a divorce. I’ve accepted that my actions have consequences. I’ve accepted that I was an alcoholic. I’ve accepted that I do have problems with my mental health, that I should have addressed. I’ve accepted that I have anger issues. I’ve accepted my flaws and imperfections, and even though no one can be perfect, I should have learned to love myself.
I want you to know I am sorry for never being consistent with my word. I want you to know that I am sorry for letting you down. I want you to know that I am sorry for being emotionally unavailable for when you needed me. I want you to know that I am sorry for being emotionally immature and causing unnecessary emotional damage to you. I want you to know that I am sorry for only giving you the bare minimum. You were my person, and I was suppose to be yours. I tried so hard not to hurt you, yet I still hurt you in the worst possible way. I took you and your love for granted. My behavior throughout most of our time together was deplorable. When I think of all the hurtful things I have done to you or put you through, I feel sad for you. You did not deserve this from anyone, especially from someone who would repeatedly say how much they loved you. I am sorry if I ever put off things to the last minute that were important to you. I am sorry if you ever felt like you were an inconvenience on my life when I would complain about doing little errands around town. Instead of spending time together doing the little things, I chose to be irritated by this. K, you didn’t ruin our relationship, our family, or my life, that is solely on me.
You have endured many of the worst moments of my life and, sadly, you became the scapegoat for much of the emotional pain I was experiencing in the present and for the emotional pain I have carried throughout my life. Many of my choices came from my lack of self-confidence, self-worth, and self-esteem. It’s not your job to relieve me of these thoughts and make me happy. It’s my job to make myself happy. My disrespect and anger at the end of my day was my choice. Even if there were outside influences that became out of my control, drinking, I still made the choice to repeat the unhealthy and immature patterns of behavior. I had the choice to get help for my drinking/mental health, but I chose not to. I chose to get stuck in my self-isolation/avoidance which led me to become angry and frustrated. I started to become self-aware of these problems, but just didn’t have the tools or discipline to pull myself out. The only person I can control is myself. I am responsible for my feelings, insecurities, and actions.
I can only wonder where we would be today if I had made better choices. I’m thankful for the years we had together and all that we shared. I am truly sorry for all the things I have done to push you away. You did not deserve any of them. They were my choices and they were my responsibility. If I ever brought toxicity into your life, I apologize. Every day, I strive to mature and make amends for my mistakes, working towards becoming a better version of myself. I know you said you have forgiven me the day I signed the tax documents, but I want to directly ask you for your forgiveness. I hope one day you can forgive me for my behavior and actions that have caused you so much hurt. If there is anything I can do to right my wrongs, please know that this is all serious to me.
There is nothing that you could ever say or do that would ever make me love you any less. I hold no anger or hatred towards you, even if you gave me every reason under the sun, you don’t deserve that. In this vast sea of humanity, you’ve always stood out. I will always see that softness in your soul, the reason I feel in love with you, other than that smile and those rosie cheeks of yours. I hope that you finally have peace in your heart. I will always be here to love you from a distance, and I will continue to hope and pray each day that you finally find the happiness that you deserve.
Sincerely, K

2023.05.29 22:37 jackbillings The Importance of Universal Waste Systems in Environmental Sustainability
| In today's fast-paced world, environmental sustainability has become a pressing issue that demands our immediate attention. One aspect of sustainability that often goes unnoticed is the proper management of universal waste. Universal waste refers to various hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams, including batteries, electronic devices, fluorescent bulbs, and more. To address this challenge, organizations like Anaergia have emerged as leading platforms, promoting efficient waste management solutions. What is universal waste? Universal waste encompasses various types of waste generated by households, businesses, and industries. It includes common items such as batteries, electronic devices, certain types of lamps, mercury-containing equipment, and other potentially hazardous materials. Why is universal waste management important for environmental sustainability? Proper management of universal waste is crucial for environmental sustainability due to several reasons. First and foremost, these waste materials often contain hazardous substances that can harm human health and the environment if not handled correctly. By implementing efficient waste management systems, we can reduce the risk of contamination and protect our ecosystems. Additionally, recycling and recovering valuable materials from universal waste can conserve natural resources and minimize the need for raw material extraction. https://preview.redd.it/sp5w31f40u2b1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8e1e3590c00fb2237a5af87a219d5d8eb185639 How can universal waste systems contribute to a more sustainable future? Universal waste systems provide a comprehensive approach to waste management, including collection, transportation, treatment, and recycling. By adopting these systems, we can divert waste from landfills and incinerators, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the potential for soil and water pollution. Furthermore, recycling valuable components from these waste streams promotes circular economy principles, minimizing waste generation and conserving resources. 2023.05.29 22:25 waterman123 [S2 Finale] The ending of the adult timeline in the finale was goofy, poorly thought out, nonsensical and kind of insulted the audience's intelligence. It is a huge contrast to the still decent teen timeline.
I still enjoyed the flashback timeline, which isn't off the rails and has redeeming qualities, but the adult timeline is a smoking wreckage right now.
First thing is that I've seen many people say that the reason the finale got so much hate is that it didn't provide answers. I don't think that's the reason, that's fine, not all finales have to provide concrete answers to what's taking place.
No the reason it was terrible was because it did not respect the audience watching it. The episode handwaved a bunch of things that you cannot handwave away.
Walter is suddenly a hacker who can magically change and alter bank records, and also switch who is screwed by the bank records in a second? And the police officer mustache just accepts this?
And why would the body be in the trunk, why would he have shot it while in the trunk. There are forensics, this makes less than zero sense. And you can't handwave away it as TV because in the previous season they made a point to have the main cast carefully dismantle and remove Adam Martin's body. It mattered then, but now you can just shoot a guy in the trunk of a car?
Bodies don't bleed the same after being dead, when they do an autopsy they'll find the drugs and also that the death happened before he was shot. As every damn forensics episode ever has established. They spent time writing this plotline to have Walter handwave it away in a second. What was the point of even going through it?
And the police and emergency services are supposed to come in there, find a dead cop, a dead lady, the suspect in a murder investigation (cause they would obviously know that), her family, and a bunch of other people connected to a prior plane crash and just move on??? That's terrible writing.
Everyone there would be taken in at least for some questioning.
And Natalie's death wouldn't be questioned harder? And Lisa is just supposed to roll with all of this why?
Even how Nat died didn't make sense. It was goofy, Misty just ran in there without Lisa noticing, then Nat pushes her out of the way in the exact right way to allow for Misty to stab her with the needle, which also doesn't make sense because that's not even how needles work, you have to stab and then push. Why the hell did Misty keep pushing, she's a god damned health worker.
The finale just created a bunch of questions, and it makes no sense that everyone is just hanging about as the bodies are being removed. They sure wouldn't be allowed to.
It really just felt like the finale went off the rails and it is super disappointing. It just didn't feel like the finale was very thoughtfully written when it leaves so many questions, not about the main thrust of the show, but of the logistics of what took place.
And I am really skeptical that they'll address any or all of this, because it seems written to get them out of the corner they wrote themselves into with the Adam Martin/police plotline, which they never even needed to do.

2023.05.29 22:17 rachlp89 How do you know when it’s time to leave?
My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years and have a two year old. He’s a good father and our son loves him endlessly. He helps out around the house and often picks up my slack in that department. He has never raised his voice to me nor verbally or physically disrespected me. He tells me I’m beautiful even though I haven’t lost a single one of the 80pounds I gained during pregnancy thanks to PCOS and PPD.
But I’m just not happy with him anymore. I don’t want to be kissed by him, touched by him, and every I love you feels forced. I am the breadwinner and the only one out of us two who has had a consistent job since we started dating. I think that’s a big part of my disconnect. I’m the only one who is financially keeping us afloat and I’m so tired. I want to address my weight issues and health but can’t because I simply can’t afford it because my health insurance is shit and all my money goes towards taking care of the responsibilities which come with having a family. I was so close to being able to have an hour everyday where I could work out because he would have been able to pick our son up from daycare, but he got laid off and now the hours of the next job he’s going to get is going to require me to drop our son off and pick him up. None of the jobs he gets pays more than $16/hr btw.
I’m just emotionally checked out. But is leaving him worth ripping apart our family? It would devastate our son. I wouldn’t be in any better position if I left him. Plus he would probably be homeless so I’d have that on my conscious. I don’t know what to do.

2023.05.29 21:22 sshawnsamuell Fan Made Hunter Talent Trees PT1: Survival Hunter
| \ Disclaimer: This is a project I did for fun. I am not a Survival expert or a theorycraft wizard, so there may be some spell values that seem to undeoverpowered or spell interactions that would be too busted to someone smarter than I am. Also, I do zero PVP in game, so no consideration to PVP balance was made when working on this.) So patch after patch roll by and Survival Hunter continues to see basically no changes to their tree since Beta. Survival's tree has over a dozen points worth of nodes that purely increase the damage of one or more of your abilities. And on the flip side of that, there also is only a few talents that modify abilities in any meaningful way to change your gameplay for different encounters. Talent Trees should be a fun way to change how you play different content, but Survival just feels like the Devs gave you a "choose your own tuning" tree instead. Now with all of that said, I do think there are a few nice things in the tree. I love the idea of having two separate cooldowns designed for ST or AOE encounters. The problem is their power level and how many points are needed to have the cooldown actually function. As of 10.1, Coordinated Assault and Spearhead are only about a 0.1% difference between each other for pure ST, but they're both only about 1% better than simply not taking either. And that's only if you're spending the extra talent points on their modifier talents, Coordinated Kill and Deadly Duo. Without them, CA and SH are actually a DPS loss over not taking them and grabbing 8% WFB damage. I know not all cooldowns need to be as impactful as something like Unholy DK or Demo Warlock, but this seems like it should be addressed. So what did I do? I spent a ton of time looking through old abilities, legendary effects, conduits, and other things and ended up removing 15 talents(some abilities made baseline), modifying 13 talents (most being # of points per node), and adding 21 new talents to the tree! I also tried re-imagining Survivals Mastery to actually be a desirable stat. I also spent some time redesigning the Hunter Class tree, adding some defensive power, and raid utility, which you can look at more here So with that said, here's the tree! \The icons not attached to the tree are the Mastery and abilities added baseline.) I tried to make the Survival Tree look like a Spear Head. :) I made this with TobiasM95's Talent Tree Manager, which you can download HERE. Using TTM you can view the tree similarly to how you would in game or on Wowhead. Just take this Import String and load it up in TTM to easily view the talents or make builds with the tree. If you don't wish to do that, I also have a wall of text you can read through of all the talents. The list is sectioned off by row and list each Talent, with the talent type, number of points, and the description, from left to right. Baseline - Carve and Aspect of the Eagle made base line.
Mastery - Mastery: Scent of Blood: You and your pet's damage is increased by 4.0% for each of your unique bleed effect on the target.

Tier 5 - Sweeping Serration: When you Butchery an enemy affected by Lacerate, Lacerate spreads to 4 other target hit by Butchery. Lacerates spread to targets already effected by your Lacerate instead have it's duration increase by 4 seconds. This cannot extend Lacerate past its maximum duration.
- Sharp Edges: Critical damage dealt increased by 2% and the range of your melee attacks and abilities by 3 yds.
- Flanking Strike: You and your pet leap to the target and strike it as one, dealing a total of [(Attack power \ 2.24 * (1 + Versatility)) + ((223.5% of Attack power))] Physical damage. Generates 30 Focus for you and your pet.*
- Viper's Venom: Raptor Strike and Mongoose Bite have a 30% chance to apply Serpent Sting to your target.

Tier 6 - Fury of the Eagle: Furiously strikes all enemies in front of you, dealing [(39.4% of Attack power) \ 9] Physical damage over 4 sec. Critical strike chance increased by 50% against any target below 20% health. Deals reduced damage beyond 5 targets. Kill Command cooldown resets reduce the cooldown of Fury of the Eagle by 3.0 sec*
- Improvised Retreat: Using Disengage scatters Caltrops in the area beneath you for 10 sec. Enemies who step on Caltrops will take [Small] Bleed damage every 1 sec, and have 70% reduced movement speed for 6 sec. Cannot occur more than once every 30 sec.
- Choice:
- Cobra Call: Flanking Strike summons a Spitting Cobra that inflicts your target with a Crippling Poison, dealing [small] Nature damage for 10 sec and increase all damage taken from you and your pet by 20% for the duration.
- A Murder of Crows: Flanking Strike calls a Murder of Crows to attack the target and all nearby targets for [Medium] damage over 12 sec. Damage reduced over 8 targets.
- Flayer's Mark: Laceration flays the target, increasing Lacerate's periodic damage by 20% for 18 sec. This effect can only occur once every 30 sec. Each time Lacerate deals damage to a Flayed target, Kill Shot has a 15% chance to reset its cooldown, and be usable on any target, regardless of the target's health.
- Intense Focus: Blood Crazed causes your next Kill Command to deal 20% increased damage and generates 6 additional Focus.
Tier 7 - Ruthless Marauder: Fury of the Eagle now gains bonus critical strike chance against targets below 35/50% health, and Fury of the Eagle critical strikes increase the damage of your next Wildfire Bomb or Flanking Strike by 2.5/5%, stacking up to 10 times.

- Eagle's Fury: Mongoose Fury stacks now increase the damage of Fury of the Eagle by 10%
- Pack Persistence: Fury of the Eagle cooldown is reduced by 15 sec.
- Explosives Expert: Wildfire Bomb cooldown reduced by 2 sec.
