Good evening racers! It's the moment you've ALL been waiting for - the beginning of the Lesotho Grand Prix! We have 66 excited participants hoping to take the top prize and be crowned karting extraordinaire, but first, 60 of them will have to go through the first 3 of our cups - the Mushroom Cup, the Flower Cup and the Star Cup!! The 8 highest performing racers from each of the 3 tournaments will make it through to the grand finale - the Special Cup, where they'll be joined by the six automatic qualifiers.

i'm not here to tell people how they should or shouldn't use drugs/alcohol or to debate the efficacy of Alcoholics Anonymous, but we can of course have those discussions.
I am a person who struggled with abusing drugs/alcohol and has found success in complete abstinence with the support of a 12 step program and therapy. Among my favorite shows are South Park, Family Guy, and Bojack.
I appreciate Bojack's full depiction of addiction and their approach to recovery. Is this because it closely aligns with my own life's story/beliefs? Probably. Bojack has 6 seasons all basically dedicated to addiction and recovery. Family Guy and South Park are both gag shows that did only one episode, featuring characters that almost need to drink to keep up the plot. I'm not butthurt over their views on AA/sobriety, I laughed at most of South Park. I do think they are a little close minded and dangerous and that did disappoint me a bit.
In South Park S9E14 "Bloody Mary", Randy attends AA and (mockingly) moans that he has a disease that will kill him. Stan tells Randy that he doesn't need to avoid alcohol and that doing so is still allowing alcohol to control his life. Stan preaches moderation, his only advice on how to maintain said moderation being to use discipline.
In Famiy Guy's S9E10 "Friends of Peter G.", Peter gets caught drunk driving and is forced to attend AA. He then dies in a drunk driving accident and meets Death, who simply tells Peter that he has the will power to drink in moderation.
-Preemptive "defense comments" of AA: I am an atheist. I have not completed the 12 steps. IMO, AA meetings in my area are extremely welcoming and do not shove God down your throat. Everyone has their own experiences with recovery, and I would never tell someone what they are doing is wrong. If it works for you, I am thankful for it.
