I'm from a lower middle class family (India) and have lived 20 years of my life with the learnings that I got from my parents and surroundings:

• don't shout back when someone bigger (financially mostly) than you is saying something to you (regardless what)
• to succeed in life, you've to be an engineer and get a job. You'll start with a low salary but things will be good after a few years.
• you're meant for a job, so just keep your head down and do exactly what your boss says
• never get close to the police, you'll always get in trouble.

And a lot more like this.
My parents and people around me must be saying all this because of their expereince for sure, but I don't believe in any of it. But it just got embedded in me with time.
So, I started doing exactly the opposite and things happened:

• One of my clients filed an FIR against me and I was called at the police station. Inspite of knowing the fact that there was no mistake of mine, I was shivering, crying and was numb because I feared them. But I went there, took my stand and that fear waived off. Not properly, but a lot.
• I dropped out twice from engineering and did everything and anything I needed to make sure I don't get into a 9-5 job. I'm not a graduate today but am making a lot more than the graduates out there.
• The 9-5 jobs that I did, I spoke there. Instead of listening to my boss, I put my input and worked WITH them and not FOR them.

But the fear of me being able to reply when someone shouts at me is still here.
An hour back, me and my girlfriend were walking our dogs. We take them for a walk on a government property wherein every other dog, pees and poops as well.
Today, some guy shouted from his house, "How the hell would you feel if I shit my dog in front of your house? Huh??? Stupid uncultured people!!!!"
Now, my girlfriend is bold. She is fierce and has a mindset that truly sets her apart. She doesn't take anyone's shit and is vocal about it.
I'm on the other hand, think like this: "What have I done wrong?", "They're bigger (financially) then me.", "I must have done something wrong", etc.
So, when this guy started shouting, my girlfriend gave him the reply he needed right then. Then, he started shouting even more. His daughter came out, supporting his father, saying, "What you're doing is illegal. Get the hell out."
My girlfriend got even bolder.
But I was feeling terrifed. I was thinking, "Only if I was muscular and could fight, I would've spoken. So, in case someone comes out to hit us, I'll take good care of it".
I gave a look to my girlfriend saying, "Let's leave from here"
And she said, "We're not wrong. Stay right here."
I thought, "there has to be something wrong that we did. Why would these people act like this otherwise."
In between of all that, another guy who was standing a few feets away from us and said, "Hey, Uncle! I'm a lawyer and as per the law, they're obliged to let their dogs do whatever they want on this property. On the other hand, you're not obliged to speak like that."
That's when I realized, "What am I afraid of?", "If I'm not wrong, why the hell am I so terrified?", "Why the f am I backing out?"
Then, I just stood there and stared at Uncle. Said nothing, did nothing but just stared and he went in.
That's one big step for me honestly, but I just feel like being more vocal in such moments.
I mean, it scares the hell out of me that if I had been there alone, I would've just said sorry and left.

Just thought I'd seek some other advice. I have a site that is approx 15 years old. The niche has gotten quite competitive over the past couple of years and we have somewhat dropped off to second page for some commercial terms though our informational content still ranks pretty well and we do still rank well for some commercial terms. i.e. Lawyer but not Lawyer [city modifier]
Due to the sites age the homepage was once optimised and ranked well for our commercial terms. With other sites, newer sites etc I tend to use inner pages for obvious reasons i.e. schema mark up, ability to delete pages etc
I did create content for an inner page and published it. Google has picked up on some terms and even though it is more detailed, more comprehensive, it hasn't really fought for a ranking against the homepage. I did hope that it would.
I have done this before. I have another site, in a completely different niche that the homepage never quite ranked on the first page of google and so I built and inner page and it competed, I somewhat de-optimized the homepage by removing some terms or prioritising similar words. Eventually, this page did rank first page, with no external links i might add, I believe this page ranked due to us being very reactive during covid and creating content specific to our niche which drove more than a years worth of traffic in a few weeks. We were the first in our niche to publish that content. This is really just for interests sake if you've read this far you are probably interested in SEO more than most (lol)
Anyway, back to the main site, I am considering completely de-optimising the root/homepage and sending a couple of links to the inner page and/or at very least linking internally with relevant anchors.
Any advice/stories/things that must be done or avoided appreciated.

I sit in darkness and wonder why I did, what I did.
I quite literally have lost everything 2 nights ago. Trust, reputation, family, friends, job, money, car, possibly my continuation with school and about everything I can name.
I’m crying myself to sleep everything, my whole future seems like it went down the drain.
I don’t know if I have a will or purpose in this life. I’m not a bad person, just made a life changing mistake. I’m not sure if I can afford a lawyer and what my next steps are as court is coming up in a few weeks.

I've just picked up a car from a Carmax in CA and planning on driving it back to GA. I had originally thought that Carmax would give me some sort of temporary tag or some sort but to my surprise, all I got was the One Trip Permit (not One Day Permit) that had all the information listed with the exception of "date of departure", which is blank. Now what freaks me out is that right below that there is a statement, on the permit itself, stating "any blank, illegible or altered date invalidates this permit."

To get the elephant out of the room, I've decided to pick up the car because my wife and I were planning on celebrating our 5th year anniversary in Vegas. We love road trips and the thought of picking up a car we had always wanted and driving back home was absolutely amazing. We're staying in Vegas from 6/4 - 6/8 (leaving in the morning)

After Vegas, we're going directly home and planning on reaching GA on 6/9 (going through AZ, NM, TX, OK, AR, MS, AL and finally GA)

My question is: will this One Trip Permit cover me all the way to GA? On the permit, it says destination is indeed GA (which has my address listed) or do I need to try to get a permit from EACH state I'm going to pass through (mainly NV since I'll be in Vegas several nights)?

Or does the permit cover me ONLY until I reach GA and then it's invalid?

The reason I'm asking is because that Carmax location was such a painful experience to go through. I wasn't aware of the One Day Permit and of course I've asked questions to which I've gotten inconsistent answers from them. Heck, some of them even said its a one day permit and I'm supposed to reach GA in 24 hours which is impossible.

Please help. I've asked many reps over the phone and they've assured me I can get a temp tag or some sort but when I got over there after flying in, this is what they gave me and I'm just paranoid at this point.

I originally didn't plan to play the game but started out just to prove someone wrong. I had made friends with this person on another game (Sky: children of the light) and they and one other person kept talking about Genshin and planned out weekly bosses like it was some big deal. I was curious so I asked them if they can't solo the bosses? do they always need help? (at the time they weren't very high AR, should have been around 50 ) and what I got after that was complete slander and paragraph upon paragraph of how skill issued I am.
They asked me to start the game and get to Azdaha and see if I don't need their help. So I took it personally and downloaded the game out of spite to prove them wrong and decided to never ask for them or anyone for help. I started my journey during the last week of Raiden's first banner. I had no clue what was going on for the first 2 weeks and the friends from earlier were only adding fuel to the fire they ignited by calling me noob and bad.
Now I can be very competitive so I started digging up the theory crafting community, learned about teams, reactions, rotations, dodging and even deeper stuff like gauges and icd and whatnot. I made it to liyue and completed Zl quest to unlock azdaha. It was my big day everything I learned up to that point was to be put to test. I knew for beginners at least azdaha fight was hard but I had already watched like 4 videos learning his patterns for EVERY ELEMENT and how to cancel cutscene animation on my end to precast my skills and burst. My team consisted of Hu Tao, Xq, Jean (from Hu tao banner) and Fischl (I know Hu Tao is a busted unit for single target but I planned out my pulls for her and they had enough time to plans theirs too at the time they mocked me, moreover I was around ar 45 too). I completed the challenge and had almost full health (thanks jean<3), I recorded the whole thing over and over (like 6 times at least) to get the least time clear.
I sent them the video of my clear leaving them flabbergasted because I was already faster than them when they first got me to download the game. But remember I said I a, spiteful so I didn't just stop there I aimed for abyss clear (36*) before them (which I did).
While I prepared for abyss I explored Inazuma and strangely enough I had taken a liking to the the game. The story was alright, exploration was fun, characters were likable. I fell in love with some like Yoimiya and Yae. When I first reached Watatsumi for the first time I realized how beautiful the game was, the attention to detail, the osts that set the theme of each region. I was taken aback by the thought that in my blind competitive race I missed out on some great moments that I couldn't experience again. At this point I had well built teams which could comfortably clear abyss with some tweaking. The people who got me into the game still couldn't do it which was a nice feeling of accomplishment but I felt a little empty on the inside. Just before the start of Sumeru they had stopped being regular before I knew they had stopped playing all together. The very people who got me playing this game has stopped themselves. This was well unfortunate but on the bright side I met a lot of new people who turned out to be my good friends. My pursuit of meta and fastest clears was over I started enjoying the game for the story and the characters, I started pulling the characters not because they were overpowered but because I loved them. As of today I am AR60 while they aren't. I wished they had accompanied me but it's fine i found new companions on the way.
