Recognize this clothing line?
I’ve had this blouse for a long time but know nothing about it’s background. It was given to me by my mother who loves a good garage sale and loves to purchase thrift clothing.
This blouse looks like it’s made from quality material & it seems vintage. However, I’m not sure how valuable this blouse really is. What makes it complicated is I cannot find anything online about this clothing line.
Can someone help me please?

2023.05.29 22:37 Pegasus_Susan Advice needed: Moving to another state- how to move inventory??

Hi everyone! I will be moving from Missouri to Texas for a new job at the end of the summer. I have been reselling part time for about two years, and have approx. 1000 clothing items in my inventory. I intend to continue reselling after I move. I've already begun to offer promos/discounts on all items to reduce the amount of inventory I take with me. Has anyone with a reselling business moved cross-country and has any advice? At the least- I'm guessing i'll need to pause sales for at least 2 weeks and switch my mailing address. TIA

2023.05.29 21:33 DanTay19 The ridiculous weapons removal list thing for DW

So after dw6 we started seeing what I would say went over the top on ridiculous weapons, so i’m going to say the ones from dw8e that I would remove forever.
Not including DW9 because the weapons in that game were all fair cos most were blooddy cloness
Weapons to remove forever: Stele, Siege Spear, revolving crossbow, arm cannon, arm blade, brush, woven cloth.
Gun based weapons, not era appropriate at all or even close and just feel weird. Then the other ones I just deem too shite/ridiculous, like a woven cloth really? The paintbrush is surprisingly quite fun maybe could work on a different character but the idea of it in general is just silly.
Other weapons that other people may deem ridiculous that I’m choosing to defend. The following weapons I consider to be in a magic category, the fans and staffs have long been a weapon in these games, so these weapons could make sense too: Flying Swords, art of war scroll (fits well with chen gong), talisman cards, horsehair whip (although fuck it off for sima yi, give him them claws from 6) Xun Yus wand.
Weapons I’m undecided on: the bench (it’s actually kinda cool martial arts style weapon, does not suit liu shan one bit) Orb & Scepter (I don’t mind the weapon suits Guo Jia well, but it’s a bit silly, maybe fit into magic category)
And thats it really in a game with this many characters I feel like a lot of the unique weapons deserve a place even though they are unrealistic or a bit whacky, but they are some that are just so out of place or shite.

2023.05.29 20:53 PNW_Baker Good luck finding maternity clothes

It was a little tense in my house this morning so I took myself out to see if I could take advantage of some memorial day sales and get myself some maternity clothes. Good friggen luck. I went to the mall and all of the stores, Macy's - old navy - jc penny, it's all online now.
Even the discount stores like Ross or Marshalls don't have anything. The best I could find was one small rack at Kohl's.
I'm so discouraged and uncomfortable. I know I can get a bag off Facebook or something but I want to try this stuff on first.
I'm gonna go get a pretzel and try not to cry.

2023.05.29 19:11 kvrsten New to Depop! 💗

Hello, so I’ve been trying to find ways to make a little extra income and I’ve wanted to try selling vintage clothes and stuff to try to start up a lil shop 💗 I was wondering if any of you who’ve been with depop for awhile or are very successful could give me some pointers and tips? How simple do they make the shipping? How do you advertise your shop, or can your shop do well by just being on depop? Also how do you make a profit lol? I used poshmark or depop before (can’t remember which one I was young) and I would price items at like 5/10 dollars but it would always say I’d make less that that when coming down to an actual sale lol

2023.05.29 18:21 MonsieurKennedy (Co-)Parents to be

Hi all! This is my first post here and it's largely prompted by a wish to seek advice from people who are truly objective regarding my situation compared to family and friends of myself and the mother to be of my child. Some background - I am from the UK and currently live in northern England. Last Autumn I spent a few months in France teaching English. Two days before returning to the UK I had a date, we hooked up and two weeks later (and back in the UK) E contacted me to tell me she was pregnant and very likely to go through with the pregnancy. I have never wanted or planned to have children (though enjoy looking after other peoples' when I've had the opportunity), but made sure to put no pressure on E re her decision. She gave me the opportunity to be involved or not and I couldn't really imagine having a child out there and having no involvement. We're now nearing the 3rd trimester and we have been in contact most days and visited each other a couple of times. For various reasons, a couple of planned visits have been cancelled, which means we haven't seen each other since February, which has caused strain between us at times and feels quite surreal. We agreed on attempting a romantic relationship, not just co-parenting, even though I think most people we both know have advised this raises the stakes a bit and potential problems if that side of things go wrong. Our relationship has been quite up and down - sometimes it feels really great, healthy and nice, others utterly toxic and highly emotionally reactive. My feeling is, I don't know how healthy it is to maintain the romantic side of things given how we can both behave towards one another when we're at our most fearful, immature and weak, especially for the sake of the child. However, when I broached this with E recently, she was quite surprised and told me she's not willing to give up on the romantic side of things. This is in response to me telling her I can't handle the ups and downs between us, her very regular criticisms and unnecessary mean comments and my feeling I have to walk on egg shells all the time to avoid big emotional reactions. As I've alluded to, my behaviour also isn't perfect, but I can't remember making negative comments about her personality traits (even if I've wanted to during arguments etc) as I feel this is a bit of a read line and just leads to undermining the other person and making them feel smaller, insecure and even a little bullied. I've also had friends (mostly women, plus a couple who are therapists) and relatives suggest I'm quite probably being gas-lit and a bit bullied at times, but also that this is probably in part due to fear on both sides and not a great deal of trust given we've only known each other for 6 months and are embarking on a (hopefully!) decades long journey together. Anyway, I often struggle to bring up important issues surrounding how we will parent when things are calm and good between us because I want to keep the peace. The problem with this is that I'll then sometimes let worries and frustrations out when we argue, in a crappy way, because there's a feeling of 'what difference will it make?' when things are already bad. There are a couple of things I want to get people's thoughts on, so I can gauge how reasonable they are... Firstly, something I've felt a bit down about is that E made the decision, with no discussion, that the child will spend 'her first few years' growing up in France. For many reasons, I think this probably makes sense. What upset me a bit was the fact this has never been discussed properly, but presented to me as a fait accompli. Maybe it's silly of me, but I would even just preferred a bit of lip service paid to me, if E had made up her mind, but had a discussion around it, so I could ask some questions and also suggest some alternatives (and how long baby /child will spend in the UK if fully time based in FR). Secondly, early on in the pregnancy my thinking was to move to France after the birth. E owns a flat, her family and friends are there, so as a new mum, it does make sense she's there and if baby is there, it would be good if I am. However, in the last few months, given how intense and extreme we can blow up, I feel the two of us in a one bedroom flat could be a toxic environment for the baby (and ourselves). My mum, brother, closest friends all feel I shouldn't move there, which would involve giving up my job, family, general life etc here, to possibly move to France, then things maybe go wrong and I'm coming back again, but to nothing. Obviously it could work well, but it's a big risk. Leading on from this - Part of the reason I've never planned to have kids is I've never been very comfortable financially and it would be a major struggle for me on this front. E isn't rich, but she owns her place and has inheritance from her mother passing away and has said she can take care of herself and the child by herself if necessary. She has a good career as a teacher, so I kind of put forward the idea of us trying out my being a stay at home father, so she can continue with her career whilst I do the daily work of raising the baby (which our society should regard as work which deserves monetary support, but that's another issue). During one argument a few weeks ago E was incredibly spiteful and told me I was out buying clothes and not spending a cent on my daughter. Other than this being quite an unpleasant thing to say, it was in reaction to my sending her a picture in some new work clothes I bought for cheap in a sale as I didn't really have many (and have to wear to be able to work and earn money!) and months before the baby is even born. She has made comments like this which I feel are quite extreme, like using my anxiety against me during arguments and telling me I should do something about it as if I don't, it will impact our daughter. She's saying this as someone who has had suicide attempts in the past and is being treated for depression, both things I would never dream of throwing in her face during an argument to infer it's a risk to the baby... E seems to be of the opinion I should move to France and that I could easily get a job working in a bar or cafe. To me this seems kind of bizarre as I've never done that kind of work, currently work in a law firm and my French is sort of intermediate level. It seems pretty blase and a matter of just kind of throwing out things I could do and I'm fairly sure if I don't go along with this stuff, it will be read as not being bothered or taking responsibility, but I see it as wildly irresponsible to give up my job here, to just turn up there with not much savings in the hope I might get a badly paid, exhausting job, whilst trying to raise a child (having been raised by a single mum working several jobs at once at some points, I know this isn't great for anyone). My current thinking is that for the sake of my mental health, well-being and given the advice I've received from people who care about me, I should stay in the UK, maintain my job (and income) to help financially and we have an agreement for regular visits. I did mention this weeks ago and E immediately went to what, looking back, feels a bit like emotional blackmail by saying if I didn't move there, we couldn't have a relationship as she didn't want a long distance one. Paranoid me wonders if she wants a relationship now as she's worried about me abandoning ship if I meet someone else etc (especially at a time when she's less likely or wishing to whilst heavily pregnant), but non-paranoid me knows she does genuinely want one. Living in the city I currently live in, doing the job I'm doing has lead to my having the best mental health I've experienced in years (discounting the anxiety caused by the baby stuff). I'm really nervous about just throwing that away, even though I'm aware it's always possible to try moving to France and coming back if it doesn't work. Anyway, I appreciate this is long, but at times I'm feeling that my life is now kind of running on someone else's timeline and to their preferred life wishes and kind of fantasy existence. Another aspect to all this is that as a queer (bi) guy, who has my issues with the nuclear family and is interested in alternative ways of raising kids (more communally, less in the spirit of biological mum and dad sort of 'owning' the child), it can feel a bit frustrating as I think E is thinking more traditionally on this stuff. That's of course completely fair, no one way is right or wrong, I'm just concerned about the differences in approach. This post is largely born of a feeling of being 'unheard' and being aware of an inability (probably of both sides) to discuss big things like this calmly and rationally, without quickly descending into rows. I also want to give the caveat that I'm aware this is only one side of the story. E is a good person and there are lots of wonderful things about her, but like me, she's impatient and emotionally reactive (and has suffered some pretty major trauma from a couple of horrible life events). She's been going through her pregnancy with the support of friends and family, but without a close partner, which is pretty amazing, but also saddens and frustrates me that I've not been there to do basic things for and with her. If you have any thoughts or advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Please be nice! :)

Help understanding depop refunds.
Hi everyone, I’m pretty new to depop and am a casual seller of my own preloved clothes.
The other day I received an offer for a pair of shoes, and messaged the buyer before she paid letting her know they ran small (I also noted this in the item description.)
Literally 10 minutes after she purchased them via depop payments she asked for a refund because they’re not the size she needs. Ok whatever.
I go to refund her but see that depop is asking for my card info and tell her I’ll message her tomorrow when I can sit down and sort it out.
Today I add my card and go to issue the refund but I am confused about the fees and refund amounts.
The shoes were $30, she paid $39.05 after shipping and fees.
I was going to receive $25.26 from this sale.
When I go to issue her a refund depop says I’ll be paying her $39.05, and depop will refund me $13.79 for the various fees.
I guess I’m not understanding where the other $25ish dollars are going.
I’ve attached screenshots for clarity, thanks in advance.

2023.05.29 17:54 1N_Nothing I Hear Some of Y'all Are Hurting Financially - My Tips!

BLUF: This is long and just personal perspective. I understand a lot of you will disagree with some of the points, if you're able to read through the novel below. Feel free to provide tips/advice that you've learned over the years in the comments.
Yesterday there was a popular post on this subreddit where the OP asked how people were doing financially. I spent about an hour on that post just reading through people's comments, a lot of which were rather bleak in outlook. That post, and comments, are what drove me to make this post. I'll be upfront with this, I personally do not call myself "financially savvy," nor do I possess any financial planning qualifications. All I have to my name is some years of experience where I flip-flopped between fucking things up religiously and doing ok, followed by a few (5 or so) years (up until now) of doing things "right" in my mind's eye.
So, here's the deal. I've been a broke-ass E-3, E-4, E-5, and E-6. I've been a broke-ass single-income family with a wife and a kid. I've been a broke-ass single parent, going through a divorce. Mixed in with those "broke-ass" periods were other periods where I was financially stable and had very little financial stress. I'll get into the "Why" of that below. Around 5 years ago is when I decided to get my shit together financially; I did that as an E-6 and have thrived since. I'll be the first to acknowledge I have been fortunate in my career in the AF and am fully aware that promoting to E-7 and then going to OTS has contributed GREATLY to my financial security. But the paycheck alone is not a magical end-all-be-all to financial security; after all, I've met broke O-5's who are broke simply because they can't control their spending.
Enough with that, on to the advice:
  1. Address your relationship with your money. Your relationship with money is one of the single-most important relationships you will have during your lifetime (spouses/children/family aside). If you are indifferent towards your money, your results are likely to be disastrous. You are the architect of your financial success, own it and don't be indifferent. Also, they're right, stop buying Starbucks. It's not the Starbucks that is killing you, it's what the Starbucks represents. Impulsiveness. Impulsive nature is a financial wrecking ball. Truth be told, my own struggles and the struggles of many I've observed/helped have heavily been tied to impulsivity.
  2. Do some research on your financial behavior. Go back the last 6 months and add up ALL your expenditures by category; do this periodically even if you are financially stable, it's great homework. Put a dollar amount on how much you have spent on: groceries, eating out, car payments, car insurance, gas, cellphone, subscriptions, etc. I think you get the point. Do this so you can see exactly what you have been doing; this may be painful as you gain a new perspective on what you do. You'll already start to see some of the fat you can trim and, importantly, you will be able to get a baseline for the next tip. The budget.
  3. Build a budget and be disciplined. Earlier I mentioned how I personally had periods of being broke and financially stable periods, all at the same income level. The budget was the single-most critical factor in determining whether I would be broke or financially stable. I CANNOT possibly overstate the importance of developing your budget and following it in a disciplined manner. To develop your budget, use the data you acquired in the previous tip; with that data, you already know what areas you can or can't reduce spending in. Finally, your mentality towards your budget is probably harmful and needs to be addressed. People often view their budget as a financial prison, an automatic "No" to the things they'd like to do. But it's actually the absolute opposite. Your budget is the thing that provides you the ability to say "yes" responsibly to the things you want. I'll expand on how it's a "yes" later.
  4. Save for retirement first. After you have developed your budget, you'll have an idea of what you can spare for your retirement. Don't talk yourself out of it. Just set it and forget, you'll rarely find yourself in need of the money or realize it's even gone. The "save for retirement first" mentality and the budget are the two things that have turned my personal financial outlook around. For you BRS folks, shoot for 5% minimum to max the match. Never in your life will you get a 100% return on your investment, except for when you get that match. Even if you're in the old system, figure out a percentage you can do without and just contribute. I know right around now, some of you are probably in your own heads already screaming "I can't contribute if I don't have money," and I hear you. I do. Just realize, at this point, these things all have to work in tandem for you to be successful. Understanding how you spend feeds into reducing your expenditures and developing your budget, which in turn controls your impulsiveness and frees up money for contributions to retirement.
  5. Project your money. Projecting your money into your budget is what gives your budget the ability to tell you "yes" to things you want to do. Once your budget is developed, start funding the categories with the money in your bank account. There are some software options that make this incredibly easy. Personally, I started using YNAB a while ago and I love it. I've also used a calendar, a notebook, and the envelope system. Just find a method that works for you. Once you project your money and you know you have $100 sitting in your clothes category, you won't feel the same anxiety when you're considering purchasing something, because your budget is already telling you to go for it.
  6. Kill your debt. Place an emphasis on eliminating all of the debt in your life, aside from a mortgage. Life's far better when you don't have the stress of paying someone else on your mind. Free up the money you are spending on debt to do other things. No car payment means you have $500 extra a month to invest or enjoy.
Other pieces of advice:
  1. Credit cards. Stay the fuck away from them unless you are disciplined financially. Personally, I have an impulsive personality which is difficult for me to control, I don't have credit cards for this reason alone. If you are a disciplined person, I totally understand why you may choose to have a credit card.
  2. Transportation. Absolutely stay away from car related debt. From what I have observed, a car payment is a close second to impulsive nature when it comes to financial stress. Now, I'm not saying you can't have a decent reliable car, or a fun car if that's your hobby. Just stay away from debt and make your purchases in cash. Another relevant point here is to be reasonable in what car you need, or if you need a car at all. If you're an airman in the dorms, you can probably get away with no car in a lot of locations. While in the dorms, save for a car and make that purchase when you need one. If you are a family with only one person working, a single car will likely suffice. For a lot of folks, motorcycles are far cheaper to operate and an absolute blast. Public transportation is available in a lot of areas as well. As a MSgt, I drove a $1,200 Corolla with 200K+ miles on it as my commuter, drove it cross country a few times as well. I did this for a few years, and excluding gas, the cost of owning/operating that car was like $90 a month or something when I did the math. Super cheap!
  3. Vacations. They can be had for cheap. But like cars, be reasonable with what you can afford. Hawaii sounds fucking awesome, but it's not affordable for every person, especially at low-income levels. Look for things you can do more local and affordable, that are still enjoyable. The whole "a base is what you make of it" line of thinking somewhat feeds into this. I'm not saying Minot sucks cause you let it suck, Minot does suck. But, look for the things that you can do that don't drive up travel and lodging costs, that are still enjoyable for a vacation.
  4. For families with children, learn to shop for clothing cheap. I have 4 kids and our clothes, for the most part, come from places like Goodwill, Savers, Ross, etc. or they are purchased when clothes are on sale at places. When kids outgrow clothes, I donate them to the Airman's Attic.
  5. Groceries, get your shit under control. I don't know what else to say. I live in a HCOL area. I feed a family of 5 on less than $200 a week. And we eat pretty well. We don't have steak every night, but we do have steak. Learning to cook for yourself is a great thing. You'll always have high-quality food on tap. My wife and I's approach is that we cook dinner every night and have the leftovers for lunch. We tend to do 90% of our shopping on the outer ring of the grocery store, so think produce, dairy, meats, etc. We minimize our purchases of refined boxed foods.
  6. Hobbies. The hobbies you indulge should be determined by your financial state. If your broke as shit, don't go buy a GT-R because you're a car guy. Find a way to enjoy your hobbies in a way that is affordable or explore a lower cost hobby. Myself as an example, I'm a huge car guy. I do have a fun car at this point in life and one I am restoring, but they absolutely take a backseat when compared to other priorities like saving for retirement and putting food on the table. But to indulge in my car hobby, I volunteer at a local racetrack in my free time so I can be around what I love. It's been an awesome experience and costs no more than the gas to get to the track. Hiking and camping are incredible hobbies that are low cost and improve your mental and physical health. Anytime we can double up benefits, it's a good move.
  7. If you are low income, absolutely search out the benefits that are available you. WIC was available when I was an E-3 with a wife and kid. Don't be too proud to accept some of these resources. They're here for you, use them!
  8. Second job. Get one if necessary and if you can handle it. They suck, and you'll get burned out. But even if you can get one long enough to pull yourself out of debt, do it.
I think I'm done. I know that's a lot and it's not all inclusive, they're just major things I've noticed in others and myself over the years. Sorry if anything is disjointed in my ramblings.
