My wife and I both have top of the line (for the 2010 era) DH MTBs ready to receive some power. Full suspension (room for batteries), hydraulic disc brakes, fox shocks, all those goodies.
We've ridden rental radbikes that were capped at 750W and they left a lot to be desired in terms of power. I'll have to be able to cap my builds there via the controller to keep it legal where required in my state.
That said, I plan to mainly ride on property where this cap is not a concern. When riding there, I want near dirt bike acceleration and top speed up to about 30-35mph. I don't want to go much faster than that on a bike, but I do want to be able to lift the front tire with the throttle starting out, maybe break traction at low speeds, stuff like that. Looking for a thrilling ride here, at lower speeds.
Here's the rub: I'm a big guy, 6'8 230lb. I'll need some serious power to get this done. The cyc gen 3 looks to have the oomph, but here's my main question:

• I realize this will be a lot of stress on the drivetrain. Aside from shift sensors, what upgrades should I be considering for keeping the drivetrain reliable? Open to replacing the whole drivetrain if needed for the build, but I do want to retain the ability to pedal.

Secondarily, I'm open to any other motor / drivetrain suggestions. I'm heavily leaning on mid drive over hub drive due to sprung weight vs unsprung, plus using gearing with a mid drive to maximize performance.
I've been googling but I'm having a hard time finding much beyond sites selling kits / motors. I want to do more research. Any builds you can point me to that sound like they might fit my list of requirements? I'd appreciate it!

Hi all. I'm quite the beginner when it comes to Mac knowledge and I would love suggestions on a new Mac I'm looking to purchase as an upgrade.
For context, the setup is a Pro Tools Ultimate rig, recording and mixing mostly commercial work in 5.1 and Stereo. A 3 monitor setup is required (1080p only) along with a Geffen HDMI splitter that would be splitting one of the monitors onto 4 TVs (1080p only).
Apologize if these are newbie questions, but is a Mac Mini M2 enough or is the Mini M2 Pro enough? I see the M2 can only natively support up to 2 monitors, but does adding a thunderbolt dock (such as the CalDigit T4) allow me to add a 3rd monitor or is that too much and would require the M2 Pro? Would either version of the Minis require an external graphics card GPU setup?
I would also assume the 24gb RAM is enough in the Mac Minis for this kind of Pro Tools setup or is the Mac Mini just out of the question? Generally our sessions can run 100-200 tracks with music, voice, and sound effects, and multiple videos in the session.

Hi everyone, I am interested in getting some used enterprise SAS drives. One example is Samsung PM1633/MZ-ILS9600. I've never used SAS drives before, but would I just need HBA card like LSI SAS 9211-8i and then SFF-8087 to SAS cable? Also, how is firmware updated on these types of drives? On this particular drive, there was some firmware issue after the drives have been online for a certain number of hours, but from a thread (https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/samsung-ssd-pm1643-3-8tb-sas-12gb-s-mz-ilt3t8a-2-5-289-98.32725/page-9) it sounds like some firmware is encrypted and there is no way to update? I doubt I will have to upgrade disk firmware often, but are they like this for all enterprise drives? Thanks.

I am trying to print small maps one the front side of a card 4.25 x 5.5 inch with the table on the back. For space efficiency, they will be printed on 8.25x11 legal card stock and will be manually cut. A duplexing printer will be required to print these front and back. I want to export to PDF these sheets of paper.
For the front to line up with the back, the front would have a sequence of 1,2,3,4 and the back would have 2,1,4,3 so that the fronts and backs would line up. Does qgis support this?

I wanted to share my recent experience regarding difficulties I encountered while attempting to use my Chase debit card with Apple Pay at an ATM.
Whenever I use my Chase debit card via Apple Pay to access my checking account from any Chase ATM, I get this message: “Card is deactivated. You’ve already activated the replacement card we sent you. Please try again using your new card.” I proceeded to use my physical card to access the ATM and it worked perfectly fine.
Just to clarify, I’ve never made any request to get a new debit card issued. The account is only a couple weeks old.
I am curious to know if others have experienced similar issues with using their Chase debit card through Apple Pay at ATMs and if any potential workarounds or solutions exist.
