I've only been playing Apex since season 10 and it's been my primary game since leaving warzone after the Caldera update. I remember playing a few games of Apex when it first released and found CoD Blackout battle royale to be more satisfying. That being said Apex for me has become the most authentic and fulfilling battle royale. I have not experienced nearly all of the ups and downs in the ranked seasons prior to season 10 so I can't share the multitude of frustrations that someone who's played ranked since season 1. To me since season 10 every new season has felt fresh and energizing. New cosmetics, 2 new maps, KC and WE map changes, new legends, new weapons. For me that checks every box of what I like to see in seasonal updates.
However a consistent phrase\statement I've heard nearing the release of each of the last 3 seasons is "This new season better save Apex". I think currently the community has hit a new level of irritability where if any aspect of the game is imperfect then the current state of the game is a disaster. I don't agree with this irritability at every level but i get sucked into it nonetheless. I try to create a personal opinion of the state of the game through the variety of skill levels/time commitment that I've observed in the playerbase.
- Pro players/top level streamer: these are the opinions I listen to the most. I believe they understand the in\outs of the game better than I ever will. They log more hours and have grinded on every weapon, legend, and map more than I probably could in a lifetime. They are the subject matter experts even if the they're annoying to listen to when at their most frustrated.
- The casual playerbase: If I'm being honest I don't value these opinions as much because I prefer ranked as my top mode but I also play a lot of casual\non BR game modes (arenas before sunset and the mixtape modes but I do this mostly for warmups). I'm cognizant of the fact that there are many players who just prefer casual play and that's fine as well.
- Then there's my personal opinion: this is the one that I value the most because it shapes my attitude of how I approach the game on a daily basis. I prefer the ranked mode and It's what drives me to play the game more and achieve higher ranks each split.
- Finally there's the opinion\statements of the developers: Sadly this is who the majority of the playerbase hears the least of and wants to hear the most of. We want to know if the things we're experiencing are as intended and implemented incorrectly or unintended and have a fix coming. On top of that it feels like there have been numerous empty promises and teases of great additions that have fallen to the wayside in favor of moneymaking content.
One of my biggest worries since leaving warzone for Apex is that publishers would just try to replicate Activision and Epic Games success by cashing in on pure cosmetic content with minimal/mundane changes\fixes to the core gameplay that the players want addressed. In the past I believe there's been a disconnect between many popular games developers/publishers and their respective gaming communities. Over time I think most people have learned that it's not about a lack of care from developers in regards to the health of the game but the fact that the gaming industry is a business and deadlines and quotas must be met. With that being said I don't think I've been a part of a more aware and caring community like Apex has from top to bottom who all want the same thing, which is progressing the health of the game in conjunction with new content.
I'm not the biggest fan of Nickmercs but I believe he put it perfectly in his tweet the other day that was like "Apex is broken @PlayApex what’s goin’ on over there at HQ, and do you need help? I can bring a screwdriver." Even though it's a bit of a jab at the developers if that's not proof that your playerbase wants to help make this game better then I don't know what is. Whether you resort to ranting on reddit like me, posting on social media, or filling out the surveys about the game this community obviously wants more communication from Respawn and for Apex to succeed.

I'm sure some apex pro, will inevitably talk about this or me, whatever I just wanted to express a general annoyance that a lot of people I know have had lately.
Apex is broken.....we all know this, we make statements, we complain, we post on reddit, to Twitter, we @ devs and anyone on the team who will listen, to try and push for some serious change this game needs. I understand pros do this for a living and the other half of pros play this game because they love it and their passion shows through when they get frustrated at basic functions of the game not working. However, at some point we need to acknowledge in the Apex scene apart of the reason Apex is losing viewership is because people are getting tired of hearing a streamer complain endlessly about a legend after every time they lose a fight. People are getting tired of hearing the endless complaints of 3rd party "brain dead" as if you didn't just execute the exact same move to another team before this fight.
The lack of content is killing this game, legends being unbalanced is killing this game, ranked going unchecked is killing this game, cheaters are killing this game, devs turning a blind eye is killing this game, and pros who go live and complain for hours on end are killing this game's viewership.
I'm not referring to all pros, because there are plenty that I watch who have nothing, but passion and even when the game pisses them off they go again or simply get off because it's too frustrating to watch the game you love crumble before your eyes.
Hal, Wigg, Apryze, Wattson, Hambino, PVP (the king of valid complaints who comes up with possible solutions), Greek, Fun, Deeds, Nickmercs, Sweet, Verhulst and many more, thank you for playing this game. Thank you for valid critiques. Thank you for showing your passion. Thank you for asking for change without complaining for hours on end. Most of all thank you guys for simply putting a smile on thousands of viewers faces, teaching them how to play, and making a wholesome community that people can just be themselves in. Even on the worst days if RP gain or loss, you all continue to ask for this game to be better in the best way you can.
To all the casual and pro players, keep your head up, this game will be better, I believe in this community and I believe in the devs.

For months I had to read the WORST opinions on here about NICKMERCS and the Tripods. People saying they didn't deserve to be in pro league. Even coach puddlekitten making 3 hour vod reviews to say that Nick is a bronze player by counting his blinks. But despite all that, I tried to make very intelligent comments around the subreddit, educating people that the Tripods were at LEAST top 20 NA already.

Well now Tripods are at a very respectable 17th out of 30 after playing 2 pro league matches (Above Nrg, clown9, furia and sen), I would like to give the community an opportunity to APOLOGIZE and convert from haters to fans.

Biggest Asset is 3 controller players= 10x the testosterone and MACHO aura

Going into Pro League, we already knew Tripods could fight. There are many Lej and Zipp videos showing Nick blowing ImpeccableHal's back out in ranked. But they were not an experienced team, so their macro was an unknown. However, after working with VZD GDolphn, their rotates and ability to call zones have become as strong as Nick's Traps, to the point where they are getting a disproportionate amount of points from placement. For example, in week 1 they got 10th place with only 12 kills, meaning they only averaged 2 kills per game.

Now, I think the next step they will need to do, is to start unleashing their masculine power, aim assist and teamfighting into their playstyle and start looking for KP. They are frequently getting into endgame scenarios, but they are playing as passive as mouse and key players, so that they are allowing a lot of teams to play near them on their side of zone, which makes endgames very difficult. If they start utilizing their firepower and start clearing teams playing near them, they have a very realistic chance to jump up the leaderboard and start becoming contenders for LAN.

NICKMERCS is my favorite 5'8 streamer. Even though he is very late to apex, he has more PASSION in one finger than the entire sentinels gambling discord have combined. After ALGS, when most players were crying into their pillows or taking a rest after a good day... Nick was back in the arena, playing ranked with his team trying to get better. ALGS was not enough to satisfy his bloodlust. He just wants more. He already has THOUSANDS of hours of apex despite starting behind, if SZN_Keni plays at his current pace, he will need until 2089 to catch up to NICKMERCS playtime.

Nick could have taken the easy route, he could've been carried to pred. But he refused to play with any current predator (in apex or IRL) and only played with his friends or with other nonpreds until he got there. When he was passionately playing off stream, he met Deeds and continued playing with him until now they are top 17 in NA,

Deeds is a young phenom. Its insane to me, that when Nick met him, he was just a random solo queue masters player. But at this point people need to start putting respect on his name as an elite fragger. Even though he's like 13 or something and might need to use a booster seat on LAN, he is absolutely FRYING people in pro league. Similar to Nick, he doesn't have much competitive experience, but he is a humble grinder who plays with PASSION and focus. I believe in a few months, with more competitive experience, he will consistently be top 10 in kills in pro league lobbies.

LSF's goal has been to strike a balance between funny & interesting clips and news & drama. When drama hits LSF it usually takes up front page entirely. As a compromise for those that only come to LSF for funny and interesting clips and don't care much about drama, and to avoid drowning out other-topic clips, we've decided to create these megathreads. The main threads will stay up, however the rest will be removed and moved here to give visibility to different content on LSF.

How does this megathread work?

This megathread will be manually, and periodically updated with new information. If you have something new that you'd like to add to the megathread that is related, either modmail us or reply in the comments with any new relevant information.
