Figured I would give it a try making a post on here. I am a college student and my hobbies are music, reading, anime/manga, and gaming. I live in the northeast of the U.S also known as the New England area and I am only looking for someone in the area to befriend and hang with. Not sure if this sub reddit is for dating or friends but my primary reason posting here is to make friends locally whom I may have the opportunity to meet some day. I'm not put off by the idea of dating, as I am bisexual and have been with a guy before. But dating to me comes with time if we really click as friends for a bit. ~

For the most part I'm pretty introverted but I'm not too shy. I just need time to recharge alone if I was hanging with someone for awhile. To give a little description of myself I'm pretty short for a 26yr ol male. I am like 5'2 last I checked? Skinny and I have long black hair that is naturally wavy/curly that goes down to my shoulders. My face is clean shaven but can't exactly say the same elsewhere, though it's not like I'm hairy either I don't think, but it's not like anyone notices since I'm covered up in a hoodie or long sleeve shirts n such. When I'm not busy with college assignments I often enjoy listening to music. When it comes to music I love taking turns sharing and listening with someone. It gives an opportunity for us to be introduced to something new. Lyrics in music often encompass a lot of thoughts and feeling I have trouble communicating. They often encompass and reveal a lot of how I kinda think, feel, and process many things in life. If u are similar to me in that regard, it may make for some interesting convos if u are a curious individual. Curious people are very comforting for me to talk to, so by all means if u are comfortable with it, say whatever u would like to say. I love going on about ideas and tangents with someone for a good bit. It leaves me feeling refreshed in gaining new perspectives and learning from someone.
With gaming there's not much to say. I really love fighting games and would ideally love someone who is just as into them to play with! For sure one of the easiest ways to connect with me but not the only. Guilty Gear is my favorite fg but with the release of Street Fighter 6 recently, I have been playing that game a lot! I enjoy attending locals often to hang with some friends and enter in some bracket tourneys. Outside of fighting games I love playing Yu-Gi-Oh or relaxing playing various games on my PS1 and PS2 emulators.
With anime I like a variety of generes and have watched many shows. Perhaps I can I send u my MAL or Anilist. But my favorite has to be Spice and Wolf (all time fav) and my current favorite anime/manga has to be Call of the Night. (current fav). ~

The Dangerous Alliance turned on Larry Zbyszko. Paul E. Dangerously told Zbyszko he was a disappointment for his lose at Wrestle War and Zbyszko slapped Dangerously. Zbyszko was then attacked by his team mates. Zbyszko will take on Steve Austin at The Clash. Windham and Rhodes continue to look strong as a tag Team heading into the event. Sid Vicious got a few TV wins over Cactus Jack. After their second encounter Vicious lifted Cactus up and showed him respect for a hard fought match. Cactus just stared at him and shouted "Bang! Bang!", then he walked away. Lex Luger was built well to take on Rick Rude and possibly win the WCW World Title. Luger defeated Arn Anderson and Kevin Nash on the build to the TV special. In a shocking turn of events Luger had a motorcycle accident.and nearly lost his arm. Luckily the arm was saved and he had a metal plate inserted into his forearm to hold the arm together. Luger will be out of action for around 6 months. Ricky Steamboat won a number one contenders battle Royal to get back in the title hunt and he will challenge Rude at the Clash. Clash of the Champions: Rude Awakening June 16th 1992 Caesar's Palace Las Vegas Nevada 14,321 in attendance 2,000 comps WCW World Television Champion Bret Hart made Greg Valentine submit to the Sharpshooter at 11 mins 23 secs. The Heavenly Bodies (Stan Lane & Tom Prichard) with Jim Cornette defeated Danny Davis & Scott Armstrong at 8 mins 22 secs when Lane pinned Davis after a Savate Kick. Vicious will meet Sting and Cactus Jack will meet Pillman at The Bash. After lose to Steve Austin at the Clash Larry Zbyszko came to the WCW Saturday Night set to announce his retirement. In a shock turn his mentor Bruno Sammartino interrupted him and told him he was not finished. The following week both men came out to the arena together and announced that Zbyszko was coming to get his former team mates one by one until he is standing in the ring with Ravishing Rick Rude. Intended Major: Aerospace Engineering
SAT: 1450 (retaking and aiming in the ballpark of 1500+... not too worried since my target/reach schools are test optional or test blind)
UW GPA and Rank: 65/611... I'll put my 2nd Sem GPA for each year since it best represents how much I was able to make of a given year:
9th - 2.8, 10th - 3.86,11 - 4.0
Hook: Without getting into the personal details, I experienced some devastating family issues when I was little that left my family super financially unstable until about 2 years ago and it resulted in me growing up without my dad and although I did well n middle school, I collapsed from academic exhaustion my freshman year. I then transferred to a different hs sophomore year where I got my bearings and set myself up for when I transferred to a new high school and started developing my passion for math. It got to the point where I finished my prerequisites for Calculus in the same summer and joined Calculus at the third high school I transferred to. I've never had much, but I'm still squeezing water from stone with every chance I get.
TLDR: comeback story where reaching for oppurtunities helped me discover improve and my interests(of which I left a lot out to keep this from paragraph from dragging on too long).

Extracurriculars:
Church Volunteering: 1000+ hours total between two churches. Most of it was in the church I grew up in and I started doing it in January 2020 after the last guy stepped down. To keep in accordance with COVID policies once the pandemic kicked up, I'd stay for 3 services all day every sunday before things tapered into 2 services a day and eventually into the regular 1 service. I'd also be volunteering at the Friday mini-services every week and prepping things for the main service. I was essentially the IT guy for my church, being the first responder for issues with the church's hardware (ie projector and computer) and software (the propresenter used to control the preacher's slides and lyrics during the first part of the service). I was also the "guy in the chair" responsible for actually controlling which slides/lyrics would be displayed during services. Aside from the main services, I was regularly setting up events for all sorts of events in the church like helping my mom decorate for the kids' church camps or setting up and taking down supplies for conferences taking place at my church. After I moved away from that area and to a new church, I was recommended by my original pastor to my new one and I'm performing the same role, albeit differently since I'm rotating with other people every Sunday, but I'm still responsible for training new people and I've pushed the new church to improve it's software to propresenter from their software that hasn't been updated in years and I'll also be responsible for training people in using it. I'm also going to be responsible for doing lyrics + slides control during bigger district services which include people from all over the county. This is the longest EC to explain since it's the one I've invested the most into by a light-year and what I've made the biggest impact with.

Hello lovely people! I'm wondering if there are any kind-humans out there planning to attend Bonnaroo on Saturday only, who would be interested in sharing a hotel room and a rental car? I'm excited to celebrate a friend's birthday at the festival and have already reserved a hotel room within walking distance to the venue. I'll also be renting a car at Nashville airport. However, I need to catch a flight on Sunday before 2pm, so I plan to hit the road by 10am to make it back to Nashville in time. I'm looking for one or two responsible and PLUR people to split the cost with. From ages 5 - 11 this “creature” visited me every night. It wore a long black robe with a hood covering its face. My dad would come lay down with me to help me fall asleep because I told him there was a monster visiting me. I would hear my dad get up to go back to bed with my mom and then the entity would appear by my door. I would then proceed to get up, close my eyes, and sprint to my parents room in sheer terror. I would do this every single night and sleep with my parents for six years when it suddenly just stopped coming.
Fast forward to the age of 25 (I’m 29 now) I was living alone in an apartment. I woke up around 5am. I looked at my bedroom door and saw the entity standing there. When I was a kid I only ever saw it as a very tall being with a robe on and hood concealing it’s face. It never approached me and I never saw it’s face at all.
This time was different. The creature removed its hood, and I saw the features I described earlier. I also “knew” it’s name, I can’t describe why or how. I was experiencing what some would define as sleep paralysis. The moment we made eye contact I was frozen. I tried with all my will to move but could only move my eyes. It approached me and opened its mouth which was full of razor sharp teeth. It then bit my neck and I wanted to scream from the real pain I felt but I couldn’t.

2023.06.10 22:34 furtive Trip summary: 4 nights in Vegas at MGM Grand
We did 4 nights in Vegas this week, Mon through Friday, staying at the MGM grand.
MGM Grand Hotel: nice hotel, well located not too far down the strip. We had a grand king room and it was clean and well appointed and while not brand new, didn’t look worn down or dated. it was a perfect fit for the budget, and the confidence of having a smoke free room was great. We didn’t eat on site except for a lazy buffet day/pool day. Crowd was all conference and low key from Mon-Wed, not too busy at all, then on Thursday the unwashed masses began to appear, and the nightlife also became much more vibrant.
MGM Buffet: I got a two for one voucher through the myVEGAS Slots app and about 9 days of play. The buffet vouchers always seemed to be sold out but about 48hrs before my departure I managed to get one. Buffet was fine, the food and selection was good, the look was a bit dated. New menu items started showing up around 11am. Probably not worth the price for two full adults, but with the 2 for 1 it was worth it, the wife was very happy and I saved $30+ because of the app.
MGM pool: Lovely, we spent two full days here. All pools and river were open except the Splash pool, which looked okay but was closed the whole time, probably because things weren’t crowded. No problem finding good free seating, much harder to find free seating with shade but we got lucky on the Tuesday and there was decent cloud coverage on the Thursday. All seating on lazy river island was reservation only. Way quieter on a Tue than on a Thu. Didn’t get a floatie, they were $25-30+tax depending on the size, but never felt we needed one. Bag check was low key.
Cheap eats: we did Shake Shack and In n Out burgers and both were great, with Shake Shake winning by the tiniest of margins. Oh, and Evel Pie for a quick slice away from the bustle of Freemont.
Expensive eats: we did Momofuku and enjoyed the menu, best item (hard to believe) was the brussel sprouts and cauliflower.
Cheap activities: We enjoyed the volcano at the Mirage more than the fountain at the Bellagio, maybe because we came in with zero expectation. Too bad it won’t be there for long, glad we saw it. Pinball Hall of Fame was also a great value, we split $20 between the two of us and were there for well over an hour. Conservatory at Bellagio was way too tacky for our tastes.
Other activities: Blue Man Group was great, make sure you buy tickets from the MGM site and not from the BMG/Ticketmaster site, saved about $40/seat that way. Cirque de Soleil O had the most impressive stage set I’ve ever seen, magical really. Omega Mart was fun, we had 11:20am booking but would recommenf you book for 10am and make sure you’re on some drugs first. Vegas Neon Sign museum was good but short and felt a bit like a graveyard, lots of potential but $20/head was a bit high. Freemont was Freemont, but driving from Freemont down the strip at night was great and felt like out of a movie.
Side note: We rented a car on the Wednesday and did Red Rock National Park, Area 15, In-N-Out Burger, Pinball Hall of Fame, Neon Sign Museum and Freemont all in a day, it was totally worth it and added to the Vegas/Desert experience. Our only regret was that we could have spent 4-8 hours hiking at Red Rock but had tight 11:20am reservations for Omega Mart so that part felt rushed (we’re from Canada, seeing cactus and sand in the wild is wild!)
Other tips: don’t buy booze in the hotels/casinos, way cheaper at CVS/Wallgreens, same for food/snacks whenever possible. Uber from airport was $6 cheaper than taxi.
Canadian Tip: ATMs are a scam here. Casinos/hotels charge $9.99 just in ATM fee, it was 1/3 of that at Walgreen/CVS. And that’s not the half of it. Get your cash once and be done with it, and watch out, they will offer to “exchange” your currency during the purchase path, decline because there is a huge markup, let your bank do it instead. For example, I took out $400 USD, ATM offered to do the exchange with total coming out to $607.88 CAD but by declining that and having it use the exchange from my bank I paid $561.24, saving me $47 in scam markup.

Obviously it's a bit dumb to be talking about what could've been when discussing a 7+ year old game but wouldn't it have been interesting having a quest line about trying to make a CPG 2.0. The minute man questline already has you reuniting settlements. Maybe it could have been about building alliances to destroy the institute, similar to Vegas' hoover dam fight.
