2023.06.10 20:31 kendalroy43 actor/writer in NYC looking to meet local filmmakers
what's up guys. I'm an actor / writer in my early 30s new to NYC and I'm looking to expand my network and meet local filmmakers.
I have reputable boutique theatrical representation in LA & NYC, which handles literary as well once I'm ready. Conservatory trained, union. I've done mostly regional theatre, student films, short films and low budget Indies, but I've had about 200 auditions for co-star & above for major tv/film via 78 major Casting Directors, with tons of repeats and many pins.
I've made a bunch of simple videos over the years to advance my acting, and during the pandemic a buddy and I made our first legit short film I'm somewhat proud of. I have my next short script, a psychological thriller, I'm shooting next month I'm very exciting about, and then I'm moving onto features. I'm halfway through my 1st feature script I'm very, very passionate about that I'm putting my loins into. I have some producing contacts as well but there's no point worrying about that until you have a handful of perfect scripts to get shit going. honestly, these days? that's the easy part. Having a unique, interesting, passionate idea and a perfect script, that's the hart part!
I'm inspired by:The Sopranos / Veep / Paul Thomas Anderson / Jody Hill / Danny McBride / Vice Principals / Requiem for a dream / anything Darren Aronofsky / the Leftovers / Bad Santa / Bridesmaids / Drive / The Departed / Buffy / Six Feet Under / Melancholia / Succession / Barry / Coen Brothers, etc.
My dream is to pull an Adam Sandler and just make movies with my friends every day and get paid to do so. Baby steps!
Writers, Directors, Cinematographers, lighting & sound gods, post production, anybody that wants to make high quality projects, and is also a cool person, hit me up!
I'm based in Astoria but anywhere in the city is cool.

2023.06.10 19:59 BtownLocal Tourist notes
| I was a tourist in Palm Springs from June 1st-June 8th and wanted to thank everyone on this sub whose posts I have been reading for the past few months in preparation for this trip. My wife and I stayed at an Air BnB at Plaza Villas, which was the perfect location for us. Just blocks from downtown and thanks to the unseasonably cool first week of June weather, we were able to do a lot of walking. Here's the rundown: The Sandwich Spot: We ate there twice. Great sandwiches, friendly staff, and the sourdough and Dutch crunch rolls are delicious. Wilma and Frieda's: We met a local friend there for breakfast. He had never had breakfast there and he enjoyed it. So did we! Good service and breakfast was great. Enjoyed the blackberry custard French toast. Otori: I had asked for sushi recommendations and this is where we ended up. The service and ambiance were fine, but the rolls we ordered all had a lot of sauce on top. Not a fan. Maybe we should have ordered different rollls? Will try somewhere else for sushi next time. Rick's Diner: We are breakfast people and loved Rick's. Great diner food. Super friendly staff. Big portions. And they open early which was nice. Michoacán Ice Cream: Found this little spot in Cat City and really enjoyed our paletas. Refreshing and fresh. Happy Nails: Went for pedicures. They were able to fit us in without an appointment. Nice people, comfortable and clean salon, reasonably priced. Customers of all ages, including some elderly men. It was a good experience. Bliss Chakra Spa: This is down in Palm Desert. We had a 90-minute couples massage. It was excellent. Very comfortable space and the two therapists were amazing. La Perlita: Initially we were going to meet a friend at La Tablita but they were closed so we went here. Had a very good lunch of shrimp tacos, rice, and beans. Loved it. In fact, our friend who had never been to La Perlita before said he preferred it over La Tablita. Agua Caliente Casino: Since we were staying right across the street, we popped in to play some slots. The staff is very friendly and we liked that it was smoke-free. (When we lived in CA 7 years ago, smoking was still allowed in the Indian casinos) My wife won 80.00 after just two spins and cashed out. Koffi: Just a couple blocks from where we were staying. Excellent coffee drinks and friendly staff. Nice space. We never go to Starbucks and are always happy to support local coffee shops. This place is so good. Billy Reed's: Nope. Our friend who has lived in PS for 30 years wanted us to go there to meet him for lunch and so we did. It reminded me of hospital food. We ordered the soup and half sandwich. It was passable but I would never eat there again. You could tell by the other people eating there that it is a PS institution and that people return over and over. Not my thing. Luna Sourdough Bakery: Drove up to visit a friend in 29 Palms and stopped in Yucca Valley on our way back down the hill. Really excellent sourdough. We also had a slice of the lemon tart. Fun place and full of locals. Joshua Tree Farmers Market: We happened to be in PS the week between the outdoor farmers market and the indoor farmers market so we visited the one in Joshua Tree. It was great. Terrific citrus, melons, berries, all the produce was so good. Huge reason we plan to flee the Midwest and return to California. Great produce year-round. Palm Springs Art Museum: Wow. This is a great art museum. The docents were very helpful. Wonderful art on display. Loved the sculpture gardens. Would definitely get a membership if/when we move to PS. Other pluses: Free parking everywhere. Four hours of free covered parking downtown. Plaza Villas has two very nice swimming pools and a spa. WIDE streets. Traffic signals that are well timed. Not a lot of potholes. Clean streets, we saw very little litter. No "hoards" of unhoused people as some Redditors have claimed. Never felt unsafe. Super walkable. The only downside: Great airport BUT needs a bit more space for people waiting to board flights. Thanks Palm Springs! We had a wonderful week. Looking forward to returning and maybe buying a home. Dale Chihuly exhibit at PS Art Museum. submitted by BtownLocal to palmsprings [link] [comments] |

2023.06.07 18:10 coloradogal1 Detailed 12-Day Luxe Itinerary & Review
Hi all -
Since this sub was so helpful while planning my trip, I wanted to share my detailed 12-day itinerary, pricing and reviews for a luxe Bali trip. I lived there for three months 15 years ago on a student budget, so wanted to go back and experience it a bit differently.
Driver: I worked with Kadek at Pemuteran Menjangan Bali Transport. His prices were higher than a lot of other drivers, but of the drivers I reached out to prior to departure he was most responsive, easy to work with and made a ton of itinerary suggestions. His costs included all entrance fees, hiking guides, fast boat arrangements, as well as some lunches. Even though he was the most expensive driver I talked to, not having to plan out logistics every day and just hop in the car made the premium guide costs absolutely worth it in my mind. You can find him on TripAdvisor with the business name above, or I’m happy to share his whatsapp in a DM.
I had zero interest in riding a motor bike there, and saw at least one accident and someone at the airport who very distinctly looked like he had been part of a motor bike accident. Ironically, when we got home to the US we overheard someone at breakfast also talking about their friend who was involved in a motor bike accident in Bali.
High Level Agenda: - Ubud - 6 nights
- Sanur - 1 night
- Nusa Penida - 2 nights
- Jimbaran - 2 nights
Details: Ubud Bisma Eight, $1,100 USD for 4 nights including airport transit
Hotel impressions: This was a perfect mid-range priced hotel, central to the city center so a great place to walk around from, and probably had our favorite breakfasts during our stay. The vibe was modern, great views from the rooms and infinity pool, wonderful service. Absolutely would stay again.
Day 1 - Arrival / transit day, landed at 7pm, checked in around 9pm
Day 2 - Ubud city center We planned this day just to wander around Ubud, lunch at Kafe, window shopping, bought some fruit at the art market. We intentionally avoided making plans this day, since we knew we’d want to acclimate and just enjoy walking around town.
Day 3 - East Bali Tour with Kadek - 900k IDR per person including lunch, admissions, snorkeling tour * Snorkeling in Padangbai - Great snorkeling at two different spots * Tirta Gangga - Spent about 30 minutes wandering around the gardens, sitting down, enjoying the scenery. * Tukad Cepung Waterfall - Be prepared for lots of stairs, very cool waterfalls, def a “stand in line to take your photo” kind of experience but overall there weren’t too many people there while we were so didn’t have to wait too long. * Gates of Heaven - We opted NOT to do this, since we weren’t very interested in standing in a long line just for a manufactured photo opportunity.
Day 4 - Mt Batur hike 1,050k IDR per person (cost also included hot springs, but we ended up skipping and just going back to Ubud to relax at the pool after the hike). Got socked in with clouds for sunrise, but honestly watching the clouds roll by was almost as enjoyable as a brilliant sunrise would have been. Hike is strenuous but doable, and you definitely want to hire a guide, since we heard at least one person getting harassed for not hiring a guide. Mixed feels on this, but overall it comes down to “respect the local customs and economy” for me. We were done and back to the hotel by 11 or so, and spent the afternoon relaxing by the pool and napping.
Day 5 - Sites in and around Ubud, 795k with Kadek covering all admissions * Goa Gajah - Really cool temple that’s worth checking out to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and old stone temple carvings. Since we did this first thing, we had the place to ourselves. Be sure to check out the caves tucked along the river. * Gunung Kawi Temple - If you only visit one temple, personally, I recommend this one. Lots of stairs but it is STUNNING and you just feel like you’re surrounded by nature and spirituality. Both this trip and when I lived there 15 years ago, it’s one of my favorite spots in all of Bali. * Tegalalang Rice Terrace - Cool to see, but definitely felt like too curated of an experience. Felt like an amusement park located in a rice terrace. * Checked into Mandapa around 2pm so we could enjoy the resort for the full afternoon
Mandapa Ritz Carlton - $1,700 USD for 2 nights
Hotel Impressions: Holy heck, if you have the ability to splurge, do not miss this resort. I have never felt so spoiled or relaxed in my life. The spa was incredible ($400 for 90 minutes couples massage), the free morning yoga overlooked the river, and the service was absolutely unparalleled. The team there would greet you by name, the attention to details with the room - it was absolute perfection and I don’t think I will ever enjoy a resort this much again. It’s a little more removed from city center, but the resort is so beautiful we didn’t really feel like leaving anyway.
Day 6 - Resort day. Yoga, breakfast, massages, pool day - After spending the previous several days doing day trips, we left this as a day to just spend time relaxing, and I’m so glad we did.
Day 7 - Transit from Ubud to Sanur, with shopping stops on the way (650k per person)
Mas (wood carving), Batuan Village (painting gallery), Celuk (gold and silver smith). We wanted to get to Sanur the day before our Nusa Penida trip so we didn’t have to worry about being in a rush to catch the fast boat to Nusa Penida, and I really wanted to do some shopping anyway so it worked out well.
Sanur Klumpu Resort for $158 - Really loved this small villa style resort. Funky architecture, a little less curated feeling than the other resorts we stayed at, and would make for a really great extended stay place close to Sanur beach.
Day 8 - Sanur beach and fast boat to Nusa Penida. Spent the morning walking the path along the beach, stopping for breakfast and coffee, and enjoying the vibes without having an itinerary. Caught one of the last boats to Nusa Penida so we could get there in time for the 3 pm check in at Maua Nusa Penida
Nusa Penida Maua Nusa Penida - $500 USD for 2 nights. 1,450k IDR for fast boat, nusa penida transit to / from port and beach tour day trips, again all arranged by Kadek.
Hotel Impressions - Newer hotel in Nusa Penida that’s a bit far away from any action, but the hotel was so nice to spend time in we didn’t mind just hanging out there in our private pool and eating at some of their restaurants. They had a special Indonesian Buffet which was actually some of the best food we had there as far as taste and quality went.
Day 9 - Nusa Penida Beach Tour Spent the morning touring Angel Billabong, Broken Beach, Angel Billagong and lounging at Crystal Bay. The sites were absolutely stunning, got some good photos but the iconic beach spots were SO crowded that I’m not sure it was worth it. Crystal Bay was great - very few people at the beach, so this was a nice way to spend a couple hours swimming and enjoying the scenery. Spent the afternoon relaxing at the hotel.
Jimbaran Bay / Uluwatu Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay, $2,400 USD for 2 nights
Hotel Impressions: We chose to end our visit to Bali here, closer to the airport. There’s a reason this is considered one of the best beach resorts in the world. The villas were older than Mandapa, but the gardens and views were just beautiful. We really enjoyed our time here relaxing, using their beach lounge facility, and wandering around the gardens. The food at Sundara was good - but not memorable. I’d probably stick to just cocktails and snacks there rather than doing a full higher end meal.
Day 10 - Morning transit from Nusa Penida to Four Seasons. The original plan had been to go to Uluwatu for the fire dance, but it was unfortunately sold out. This was a huge bummer since I’d really been looking forward to this part, but we went straight to the hotel and didn’t mind having the day to relax there.
Day 11 - Four seasons resort day Day 12 - Departure. Spent the morning and afternoon lounging around the resort. Four Seasons were very generous with a 3pm check out, but were happy to let us use the facilities, spa, pools, etc as long as we wanted to since our flight wasn’t until 10pm.
What I loved * Mandapa. We only did two nights and we very strongly considered canceling our Sanur night and staying an extra day. Will absolutely be back for a longer stay. * Sanur - we only had one morning to mosey along the beach, but next time I go back, I would add in three days here with no plans other than just wandering around. It was also great staying at less of a resort and more of a boutique villa that was a great home base. * Gunung Kawi - I explored this temple the first time I was in Bali, and knew I needed to come back.
What I wish I’d done differently * More time just wandering. We did a great job planning out day trips and balancing those with resort days to just relax and decompress, which was a great balance. However, I do wish we’d had more time to just… wander. We had a couple days or mornings like this, and they ended up being some of our favorite days. * Nusa Penida - Maybe I would have liked this more if we actually snorkeled or went diving. I loved the hotel we stayed at, and I suppose I’m glad I’ve been, but the beach tours were just so crowded and spread apart. It was a long day for just a few minutes at each spot. Next time we return, I’m skipping Nusa Penida and would probably stick to Nusa Lembongon or Sanur.

FAQs!
Myth 1
"It costs too much. Hospitals are going to close if we do this."
This just has not happened where ratios have been implemented. This is simply a scare tactic being used by hospitals to avoid the imposition of basic safety standards. How is saving money going to cause a hospital to close? Cost savings from length of stay to and readmissions alone are more than twice as much as the cost of hiring additional nurses to meet the ratios, and that doesn't even take into account cost savings due to reductions in burnout/nurse turnover, medical errors, hospital acquired infections, etc. Professor Linda Aiken, Ph.D., founding director of the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania and the foremost expert on nurse staffing and patient safety as it relates to nurse staffing in the world, estimates that length of stay reductions alone would save PA hospitals $93 million annually. Plus, additional savings would accrue to hospitals for achieving higher patient satisfaction, avoiding Medicare readmission penalties, and reducing nurse turnover, which currently costs PA hospitals many millions of dollars annually. No one wants to see hospitals succeed more than nurses. We know some hospitals are having a hard time financially and may need some help. They should get it. But that's not a reason to not put into place basic safety standards that are proven to work. This bill will make hospitals better, not worse.
Myth 2
"Do we even know how many nurses we would need to meet the ratios in the bill, and how much that would cost? It would be irresponsible for us to sign on to something Or mandate something when we have no idea of the cost." There have been analyses in the US and internationally of how many nurses would require, and how much it would cost, just not in PA. What those studies have shown is that the cost it savings far outstrip the upfront costs of hiring more staff. It's going to be different for every hospital. For those Who are meeting the standard already, it won't cost a dime. The farther away from the standard a hospital is, the more Work it will have to do to meetit and the more it will cost. But those are the places that pose the greatest risk to patients and need to do this most urgently.
"OK, but even if that's true, there's still going to be a HUGE upfront cost of hiring the staff. Where are we going to get that kind of money?"
For the hospitals with the worst staffing, that might be true. But the cost reductions come immediately once you have the staff in place (length of stay, readmissions). The savings aren't long-term, they're right away. Some hospitals may need help getting there, and the state must be willing to provide help where it's needed. But upfront costs that will be recouped can't be the reason we don't prioritize and enact basic safety regulations that actually SAVE money and patients lives.
Myth 3
"Rural hospitals are special/different and poor - they REALLY can't afford it - we can't do it/will not survive/are not like big city hospitals; we don't have the same level of care as an academic medical center like Penn." This is a basic safety standard for patient care. It's a problem that this doesn't already exist. When we implement a basic safety standard, we do it across the board, because it's just not acceptable to allow unsafe practices to occur, anywhere, especially in acute care hospitals. Patients in rural hospitals deserve the same protections, the same basic assurance of decent quality care as patients anywhere in the state. Are we really going to argue or accept that in to patients in rural parts of the state should be condemned to greater risks for death and other negative outcomes? Shouldn't we be standing up for patients in rural parts of the state and ensuring they get safe appropriate care?
The benefits of safe staffing - that it saves lives and saves money - is true for all hospitals. rural hospitals included. (See #1)
Myth 4.
"It can't be done/We can't do it/We won't be able to find the nurses."
It has/is being done. In California, Massachusetts, and internationally. And a number of PA hospitals already are doing it. The problem is the wide variation from hospital to hospital, region to region. Professor Linda Aiken and her Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania have been studying the outcomes of PA hospital nurse staffing since 1999. The Center has found that there is significant variation in nurse staffing adequacy across Pennsylvania's acute care hospitals with substantial adverse outcomes for the public. The Center's study of 114 PA hospitals found that nurse staffing on adult medical and surgical units averages 5.6 patients per nurse and varies among hospitals from 3 to 11 patients per nurse. This is a huge variation in a hospital resource that has been shown in hundreds of studies to be associated with a wide range of patient outcomes, including mortality, failure to rescue patients with complications, hospital acquired infections, patient satisfaction, length of stay, readmissions, and patient safety. In PA, the Center found: In-hospital mortality increased by 7% for each additional medical patient, and 8% for each surgical patient added to nurses' workloads 13% of adult medical patients and 9% of surgical patients were readmitted within 30 days of discharge. Readmissions increased by 2% for medical patients and 4% for surgical patients for each 1 patient increase in nurses' patient workloads.
The problem is not that we don't have enough nurses. We actually have plenty of licensed RNs in Pennsylvania- more than the national average and more than most other states. The national average is 9.19 RNs per 1,000 population; Pennsylvania has 11.48 RNs per 1,000 population. California, at 8.20 RNs per 1,000 population, successfully implemented ratios with a significantly lower nurse supply than Pennsylvania What Pennsylvania doesn't have - and hasn't for many years - is enough RNs willing to risk their licenses to work in the conditions at the bedside. Nurses are leaving faster than hospitals can hire them - it's a revolving door. Currently, there are approximately 233,000 Registered Nurses in Pennsylvania, yet only about 149,000 are employed. The problem is, nurses are leaving the bedside because of unsafe staffing.
Understaffing is the single biggest cause of nurse burnout. You are not going to get nurses back to the bedside unless you fix staffing. You can train and educate all the nurses you want, if more are leaving than coming in, you are not going to solve the problem.
Research shows that better staffed hospitals have greater success recruiting and retaining nurses. According to Dr. Aiken, there is much evidence that the current difficulties hospitals are experiencing recruiting and retaining nurses are due to chronic nurse understaffing and poor work environments that predated the pandemic.
Putting in place safeguards on the number of patients a nurse can have is actually the only thing that is going to stop nurses from leaving the bedside, and will in fact lure them back. Thats what happened in CA-- the number of nurses shot up after ratios went into effect. In the decade after the ratio law was signed, the number of actively licensed RNs in California grew by more than 110,000 RNs, tripling the average annual increase that was occurring prior to the law being passed. The state had been facing a nursing shortage, but after mandating safe staffing standards in 2004, the nursing shortage gradually but consistently improved as well, and California has enjoyed a nurse surplus since 2013.
Myth 5.
"Ratios are too rigid/one size fits all."
Ratios are minimum safety standards - so, yes, like all safety standards, they should be applied to all hospitals. That's the whole point of a safety standard. There's no reason for any hospital to be below these numbers. lf/whenever they are, bad things are going to happen. We know that. So how can we be ok with that?
Ratios are a minimum level of care, not a maximum. Ratios are not a prescribed number of patients a nurse HAS to have. It's an upper limit. They just can't have more than that. In certain circumstances, there may be good reasons (higher acuity = a sicker patient who needs more care) for a nurse to have fewer patients. Hospitals are free to decide that and adjust based on increased patient care needs.
Myth 6.
"We're OK with staffing committees or public reporting (let's let consumers make smart choices), but not ratios. Most states that have staffing laws do one or both of those; only two have ratios."
Committees and Public Reporting laws are proven not to work in the states that have them; ratios are the only mechanism that does. (See #7 below, Pennsylvania Assembly Joint State Government Commission report of 2015.) Hospitals and hospital associations have long argued for committees that have no authority in place of ratios, understandably, in order to avoid having an enforceable objective safety standard.
Myth 7.
"Ratios don't work."
They do - this is not a topic that is subject to real debate. The link between nurse staffing and improved patient outcomes has been proven by decades of research; and it has been proven in practice by the examples of where ratios have been implemented (California. Massachusetts, Queensland, Australia). This is not a new or untested idea. The data very clear:
1) Better nurse staffing leads to better outcomes (fewer deaths) and lower costs 2) Ratios are the only thing that leads to better nurse staffing
Dr. Linda Aiken's Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research has found that every 1 patient increase in hospital inpatient nurses' workloads is associated with a a 7% increase in failure to rescue patients experiencing complications, as well as a 23% increase in nurse burnout and a 15% increase in nurse job dissatisfaction, both of which are associated with expensive nurse turnover. If the Patient Safety Act passes, requiring nurses in in PA hospitals to care for no more than four adult medical and surgical patients (outside ICUs) each, the Center estimates: 1,155 hospital deaths would be prevented annually. 771 hospital admissions would be avoided annually. Length of stay would be reduced by 34,919 days annually.
Legislative approaches other than ratios, like staffing committees and transparency laws, don't work. (Alternative Approaches to Ensuring Adequate Nurse Staffing, Oct. 2021, Han, X., Pittman, P, Barnow B. Medical Care, 2021; 59(10):$463.) (See also Pennsylvania Assembly Joint State Government Commission report of 2015.)
Myth 8
"This is a government mandate (and that's bad). Health care is best left up to doctors and hospitals; they know what's best, not legislators. Plus, we have great hospitals in PA. We're doing just fine."
The word "mandate" has a negative connotation. What this really is is a 2 minimum safety standard, which exists as part of regulation in every industry, including hospitals. Is anyone going to seriously argue that hospitals shouldn't have minimum safety standards?
The fact that there is no safety standard for the number of patients a nurse can have is a a blind spot in our regulations. Why should this be an exception, when there is such clear research that:, a) there's wide variation in staffing among PA hospitals, and b) a wide variety of outcomes because of it, and c) proof that safe staffing works. Childcare has safety standards, nursing homes have them - why shouldn't hospitals, where the stakes are, MUCH higher? How does that make any sense?
We absolutely need it. In PA there is a wide variety of nurse staffing levels that has persisted for decades, which has led to a corresponding variety of patient outcomes. So hospitals clearly do not know what's best. If they did, we wouldn't be here. Some do, and some don't. Hence, the need for a standard for those who don't or won't follow basic standards voluntarily.
(See 2015 report of the Pennsyivania Joint State Government Commission: "..though Pennsylvania has no shortage of nurses, the nurse staffing levels across PA Hospitals are highly variable and [that variability] has persisted over the last 14 years." That variability, the report goes on to say, has a serious negative impact on patient care.)
True, legislators do not know what's best for health care. We freely admit that. That's why we have turned to the experts--the nurse organizations and the academic research, and the places that have actually done this - to arrive at the numbers (ratios) in this bill. Legislators didnt make up these numbers, true experts did.
Myth 9
"If this is such a great idea, why aren't more states doing it? Let's wait and see if more states do it. We don't want to be guinea pigs."
The research is clear. And the results are clear where it has been implemented.
The only reason it hasn't been done in more states (and PA) is because hospitals have dumped millions of dollars into campaigns against it and have fought tooth and nail to avoid this basic, common-sense safety regulation. Nurses are fundamentally patient advocates who live this every day. It's time we listened to the nurses, not the CEOS who are making millions of dollars.
Every day that goes by and we don't have this in place, more patients, more of our constituents are going to die.
The public wants them: In a recent national Harris Poll, 90% of the public favor minimum nurse staffing standards in hospitals
Myth 10
"Now is not the time. We're just coming out of the pandemic. This is not the time to ask hospitals to take on something like this. We can't find nurses, and we're paying an arm and a leg for agency. If you force us to get even more agency, we'll go under."
We hear you, and we have to make sure our hospitals are successful. We as a state have to do what's necessary to make that happen. But part of that is making sure there are basic safety standards in place, and that hospitals can meet them. If we can't do that, if our hospitals can't do that, we are failing the people of Pennsylvania.
We're not asking every hospital to be the University of Pennsylvania, we're just asking every hospital to meet a minimum standard of safety that we know is not being met here in PA and is going to save people's lives

2023.06.07 06:07 TheBoyisBackinTown Metro North Crossing plans new pickleball courts outside T-Shotz, new retail space - KCBJ
The space where Metro North Mall once stood continues to evolve and rebuild.
"Kansas City planning staff on Tuesday signed off on new pickleball courts outside Metro North Crossing's T-Shotz... (that company) would operate the courts."
"Elsewhere in Metro North Crossing, construction started in early May on an approximately 15,000-square-foot multitenant retail building, with completion scheduled in December... it could include a combination of five new restaurant and inline shop spaces."
"(It would be close to) the Woodstone at Metro North Crossing, a roughly $60 million multifamily complex (that) began leasing in August and has achieved 90% occupancy... the complex's 30,000 square feet of retail also has secured four tenants — Third Street Social, HOTWORX, Bloom Nails & Spa and HullHouse Coffee."
A second $40 million, 213-apartment phase in Metro North is also possible.

Important: before you send your codes please make sure your account is secure (if your password is twelve characters or less it's best to assume your account has already been compromised; your password should be eight randomly selected words, see 1 and 2). Scams where compromised accounts are used to leverage reputation to scam an unsuspecting user, used to steal codes during the middle of the trade, and steal unused gift cards the victim was saving for later are increasingly commonplace. If you have any concerns as to your account's security, please reset your password now and force logout of all sessions. Thanks
