So, took a family trip to Omaha to celebrate my son’s 16th birthday. We had a lovely evening at the Twisted Fork restaurant in the Old Market area, enjoyed ice cream at Ted & Wally’s and rounded up the night playing games at the Hollywood Pinball & Arcade. When we arrived at our car that was parked in a garage nearby, we found that the 2 driver’s side windows had been smashed. Nothing was taken as there was nothing of value. After about 10 minutes of attempting to clean glass off the seats and being on hold with the police department, a security guard came up and said that he had witnessed it on his monitors and filed a report already. According to the video, a group of kids walked through the garage just 5 minutes after we parked and randomly bashed several other car windows also. So, we now have no choice but to go home early, missing the things the other 2 days we were planning to spend here, including a trip to the zoo. The money we would have spent on the trip will now go to repairs and then some. Tomorrow we look forward to finding a place to vacuum the glass out of the car and a 4 hour drive with 2 missing windows. Should be fun.

2023.06.10 05:02 sn4201 Stretch of Peterborough’s busiest street will be down to one lane each way

According to this, Lansdowne will be reduced to 2 lane traffic between Park and George from June 19 "until work is completed next spring"
"The work includes excavation, grading, installation of new storm sewers, sanitary sewers, and water main, as well as adding traffic signals at Aylmer Street."
Also, they'll be adding "street lights, concrete sidewalks, multi-use trails, traffic islands, tree plantings, pavement markings and signage."
While of course we all know Lansdowne is terrible, and obviously this is some fairly major work, I'm surprised they're estimating nearly a year of work and lane reductions for only 2 blocks?
Any time Lansdowne traffic flow is reduced, traffic gets fucked all over the city as people try to find ways around it... Creating safety hazards as people drive like idiots and clog up side streets trying to go around problem areas.
What a year we have to look forward to....

#Story 1 - Started in the year 1980 in S. Deering on 104th & Hoxie. Conservative Vice Lords had sets in Trumbull housing projects in that neighborhood. The Svls were at war the GDS and King Cobras. The Svls hung out with CVLs, but the CVLs only wanted African Americans in their gang. Ranked CVLs one day heard, and they opened a Latino Chapter on 104th and Hoxie, and they were known as Spanish Vice Lords.There were a few Svls, but they've made their name being a hardcore gang. Svls were hardcore foes to the GDS and King Cobras from the Trumbull housing projects. In the 80s a gang called the "Wonders" were begotten into existence. They came about and were begotten , after a Simon City Royals set faded out of the neighborhood. The Wonders begotten deeper, and the Latin Kings beget a war with them. The Wonders faded and hung out with Svls. In 1991, the Wonders were Svls, and were given a Chapter on 108th and Mackinaw. 108th and Mackinaw was the spawn of Wolfe Park Svls. Svls were still warring w/ GDS, King Cobras, and were hawking and peddling Loud weed, LSD, or cocaine in Wolfe Park. Svls refused to hawk/ peddle crack cocaine for cash, because they didn't want fiends doing crimes in the neighborhood. In the summer of 1994, the 108th Svls started warring w/ Latin Kings & Latin Dragons in the neighborhood.
There were a lot of shootings w/ the Svls , and the Svls made a name for shootingsStory #2 Spanish Vice Lords : The Latin Chapter of Vice Lords. Svls foes were Slag valley Boyz, GDS, and King Cobras. In 1966, black & Puerto Ricans kicked off an alliance. Svls were said to have spawned in East Garfield Park or Humboldt Park. In 1995, the Svls from Wolfe Park spawned a session for Lady Spanish Vice Lords. The women were brought into the gang the same way as the men. The women fixed their lives and moved on.#2010s- 2020s Through the late 2010s going into the 2020s, Saints of Back of the years wanted more sets. Saints always wanted both sides of 47th and Ashland. La Raza and Latin Souls (BGD Allies) were on 47th Racine- Justine , and Souls took over Paulina Saints from Marshfield to Hermitage 47th/ 50th. In the 40s to mid 50s , there was an Alcohol Mafia for early five points star gangs on 50th and Marshfield. After the Saints, there was the Muscadoodlers in 1964 at 49th and Loomis, the Demons at 49th and Racine (1965- 1969). Even back then money talked the loudest , and was heard by those who could be bought in the "justice" system. The Latin Souls moved from 55th and Halsted to the back of the yards in the 1980s. The Latin Souls brought extra special police, and even had shoot-outs w/ the police. Saints and Party Players had enough of the Latin Souls. The Latin Souls had aids in early 80s, and bought down Latinos, blacks, Africans, poor people, women, and police. Spanish Vice Lords took over Latin Souls block.
The Spanish Vice Lords went to the Vice Lords from 56th and Seeley about Latin Souls and BPSN. The Latin Souls were still on 50th/Paulina claiming Latin Stones from Moetown (not Almighty Latin Stones of 82nd/ Kingston/Eckersall Stadium). Their set is from 47th/50th- Ashland/Hermitage and from 50th/54th- Ashland/Hermitage. The Spanish Vice Lords opened in EdgewateUptown on Bryn MawFoster- Broadway/Winthrop. They have opened in little Village on 27th/30th- Troy/Kedzie. The Spanish Vice Lords also share Triple Bz on 79th and Escabnaba with Vice Lords. The Spanish Vice Lords are also in Fresno, California.

The Bike Curious Ride meets every Sunday, in the parking lot on the west side of Browning Hangar (between Airport Blvd and the Hangar), currently at 5:45pm with wheels down at 6:00pm!
Our start time is adjusted seasonally.
We visit parks, parking garages, bakeries, and convenient stores as we ride around appreciating art. We typically ride about 10-15 miles, not too many hills, but you never know.
Note that this ride is a no drop ride, meaning everyone sticks together, and no one gets left behind. All skill levels are welcome.
This Sunday, June 11th, our end stop is at The Kebab Shop (1201 Barbara Jordan Blvd #200, Austin, TX 78723).
WHAT YOU NEED: Lights, Locks, Water, Wheels, an ID, money for food and drinks, and your friends.
HOW: Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield the right of way and let cars pass as best we can. We don't block intersections. We are nice to both our fellow riders and the other traffic on the road. LISTEN TO the volunteers helping to lead the ride. They are some nice folks and have you best interest in mind. Just noticed some damage on my R1T that I *think* was there before I took delivery.
I picked up my R1T in Sacramento on Wednesday afternoon and drove it home to North Lake Tahoe right after. Left the service center about 4:30 - 4:45PM and was home by 6:30PM.
I made two quick stops, one for food, parked nose in, in a fairly empty parking lot. Grabbed some food to go. Made one quick stop at the Donner pass rest area to get rid of my fast food trash. Didn't go more than 20 feet from the the truck.
This afternoon I had the truck parked out front and the UPS guy came. Talked to him about it for a bit, and he noticed some damage to one of the lower lights on the passenger side. I hadn't noticed it before!
But then I looked at a photo I'd taken at ~7:45PM on Wednesday and you can tell it was there then. I hadn't even pulled into the garage yet, and I certainly don't back in.
Scuffs on both sides of the plastic on the rear bumper and the passenger side light has bits of it broken off.
It's like it backed into something, some damage in shipping, or maybe even kneel mode into something?
Kicking myself a little for not taking photos and / video from all around it before I drove away from the service center. So I can't prove it was like this before I left. But I can prove it was like this 3 hours later.
Not like I'm upset about this, but do at least want the light fixed. Those scuffs are whatever, gonna happen sooner or later anyway.
Anyone have a similar experience and know if it was easy or a pain to get it fixed?

New 22 Rc 390. Took it out today for about 2 hours. When I got home, shut down the engine to park in my garage, i noticed a squeaking noise in the rear. In neutral or in gear with clutch engaged it makes no difference. Sound persists. Any thoughts on what this could be? Makes me feel as if something is rubbing like pads stuck to the rotor or something. This definitely is a new sound as I’ve never heard it before.

Wanted to share a success with upgrading our Cathay Pacific flight from Economy to Business J on HKG-DPS within 4 days of departure, and hope others can gain from it.
6 Months Out
Booked CX LAX-HKG-DPS back in Dec 2022 (bonus being bookings made prior to Jan 2023 have no change fee, as the CX agent happily told me!), with LAX-HKG in PE and HKG-DPS in Economy. We booked using 55,000 Asia Miles each pax (CX's own website said it would only be 45,000 for the entire trip, but due to technical difficulties I had to book via CX call center and the booking agent could only come up with this. I suspect he somehow booked each leg separately and combined them into one reference #, as HKG-DPS in Y is only 10,000 Asia Miles, which is the exact difference from website to call center...).
1 Month Out
Bided our time until a month out, and got the itch to upgrade to J after seeing all the videos online as Cathay reopened their service and HKIA lounges. Using the v3 Unelevated Plugin was really, really helpful - it was able to run availability for the next 20 days, and gave me exact numbers of award seats available without having to pay extra for ExpertFlyer. Award availability however only went up to 1 J for our specific non-flexible date, and it only stayed for a few days before disappearing. Other days on Sunday/Tuesday often had 2 J or more.
1 Week Out
Based on what I saw via v3 Unelevated, looked like Cathay was still releasing award seats 3-4 days close-in. So got my hopes up! I would check a few times a day, and for the last 3 days I saw 1 J on our travel date.
48 Hours (OLCI)
Today was 48 hours before check in, and tried to check-in to snag our economy seats for HKG-DPS. On a whim, I ran another search and found 3 J seats open! This was strange, as the official CX calendar still listed the date as a beige seat icon (which means only 1 J seat open). I still called CX call center, and after 30-40 minutes of processing agent confirmed our booking with 2 J! Best part was: the cost for Economy Y was 10,000 Asia Miles, while the Business J was 25,000 Asia Miles if booking that leg separately on CX. I calculated that we were thus 30,000 AM short - but the agent said I only needed 20,000 AM, so the cost of our leg in J ended up only being 20,000 AM per person! I quickly transferred the points from my Venture X and paid the fees online (they refunded the original fees to my card).
End: LAX-HKG in PE, and upgraded HKG-DPS to J for only 10,000 Asia Miles more per pax (effective cost 20,000 AM points). Hard to tell when this close-in, but with one-way J cost of $2900 ends up being 14.5 cents/mile. Very happy about this J redemption for a 5 hour flight with CX HKIA lounge access!
Takeaway
1) CX still releases seats at 330 day and close in within 2 weeks of flight; this may be more common on intra-Asia than transpacific.
2) The v3 Unelevated plugin works great, and is a way to see F/J/PE/Y seat availability without having to pay extra for ExpertFlyer.
3) While Asia Miles is not necessarily commonly used, it works great when it comes to award availability on CX, and it allows for great flexibility when rebooking for different legs or classes (since you're using CX's own metal rather than a partner airline).
4) I had CSP with >400K points on it, but more and more I'm digging the Venture X for their partnership with Asia Miles since UR doesn't transfer to Asia Miles. The sign-on bonuses allowed me to book this and treat dad on J in CX from SGN-HKG-SFO a few months ago. Didn't see enough value to get AmEx Platinum or Citi, so the VX hit the spot for me.
P.S.
5) Per CX Lounge Admittance, it states that "If you are travelling in different cabin classes within a single ticketed journey (e.g. from Singapore to Hong Kong in Business Class, and a connecting flight to Paris in Premium Economy), we will honour the highest class of travel (Business Class) for lounge entitlement\ throughout your whole journey to make it a comfortable one. Please note that this only applies to flights operated by Cathay Pacific*." Based on this - I'm going to try and get into the LAX Oneworld lounge even though we're only flying PE on CX! (We don't have status on OW, and PP is non-existent now post-COVID after the dismal KAL Lounge exited). Will update!

This story happend a little less then a year ago, I've posted it before in another subreddit but I stumbled across that post again today and it made me smile again so I thought I might share it here as well.
I work for a fastfoodchain with a big shiny yellow M on the roof and back then I just got promoted to manager like 1 or 2 months before this little story happend. A few trashcans in the kitchen were broken and since I was the only manager present with a car another manager asked me if I maybe wanted to go to a store to buy some new ones. - it was a beautiful summer day say ofcourse I said yes to the oppertunity to go out for a bit. So hopped in my car to the shopping center parked my car, walked to the store and bought 2 new trashcans. Due to the great weather I didn't wear a jacket or anything, just my work clothing. So I walked pass this random store where they were doing some sort of constructions and two lady's were smoking infront of the store. So I walked pass them and all of the sudden I heard "wait! Do they have an Mcdonalds here!?" But the shopping center didn't have one, my work is like a 15 minute drive. So I smiled to the 2 woman and explained where my work was located and had a little chat with them. At the end of the conversation one of them said something like "to bad, I really would've liked some chicken nuggets right now." We said goodbye and I drove back to work to finish the last two hours of my shift.
On my way home I still thought about the two woman and suddenly I was like "let's get them their nuggets!" - hoping they were still there - but I didn't wanna drive back to work so I drove to another Mcdonald's bought two 20 nugget boxes and drove back to the shopping center. Walked back to the store where the two woman were before and REALLY hoped they were still there. And yes! They were. This time I saw them before they saw me so I walked into the store and shouted "suprise! Nuggies arrived!" They looked up a little surprised, then saw me... and then the bag full of nuggies and started to scream of exitement - I've never seen someone so happy for nuggies before - so I gave them the food and had another little chat with them. And after them saying thank you so much for another 10 times we said goodbye again and I went home with the biggest smile on my face.
And even though I never saw them ever again this story still gives me a big smile on my face everytime I think about it.
So remembee people; sometimes its just about the little things to make someone happy :D

This time I saw them before they saw me so I walked into the store and shouted "suprise! Nuggies arrived!" They looked up a little surprised, then saw me... and then the bag full of nuggies and started to scream of exitement - I've never seen someone so happy for nuggies before - so I gave them the food and had another little chat with them. And after them saying thank you so much for another 10 times we said goodbye again and I went home with the biggest smile on my face.
And even though I never saw them ever again this story still gives me a big smile on my face everytime I think about it.
So remembee people; sometimes its just about the little things to make someone happy :D

Đi bộ lên núi Seonginbong

I did ride the kiddie roller coasters as this is my home park, and Flying Ace Ariel Chase was my first roller coaster!
14 Great Pumpkin Coaster, very jittery and odd, doesn't look fun. I might've liked it when I was a kid, but I can't remember.
13 Flying Ace Ariel Chase, this ride was terrifying for me when I rode it 10 some odd years ago. Looking back it looks kinda rough and uncomfortable.
12 Woodstock Express, surprisingly smooth and kinda good airtime. I like this one.
11 Invertigo, impossible to avoid a headache on this bad boy. The anxiety going up the first lift is fun, but the cobra roll is seriously brutal if you don't prepare. Still this one's kind of fun and I wish I could justify putting it higher.
10 Adventure Express, dull layout but I like the theming on this one. I wish it did more but it's old Arrow so if it tried to do much more it would probably hurt.
9 Backlot Stunt Coaster, painful hard seats, so the helix seriously hurts, but the launch is decent and I love these clones. It's nothing too special though.
8 Racer, I wish this thing was smooth, the airtime is good, but the jackhammering is not very fun.
7 The Bat, I'm glad they rethemed this to the bat. It's very fun and you feel the speed and G's on this ride. I always love walking over to it because it's like a walk through the woods, and the view from the lift is pretty good.
6 Flight of Fear, I love the launch into the dark. The actual ride is getting pretty rough but it's just a lap bar so it's very easy to take. If you're riding with someone, make sure to watch that you don't smack them, or shoulder check them like I did to my girlfriend recently.
5 The Beast, this ride is so cool. Perfect theme, even if it is minimal, and it's so scenic just going through the woods. The way it interacts with the hills and tunnels makes me so happy. The final tunnel on the helix sounds like a screech and it's so cool. Unforgettable night ride on this thing. It's like no other.
4 Orion, not the giga we wanted, or even a giga, but it's what we got. There are a couple good parts but to me Orion is just a worse, taller Diamondback. Drop is great though.
3 Banshee, if only this ride didn't have the vest restraints, this might be my favorite inverted roller coaster, maybe even best in the park. Banshee is so forceful and a really good ride to bring someone new to roller coasters on. It's getting a little shaky but the good is much greater than the bad. I just can't get over how tight the vests get on me, and I'm 140 lbs.
2 Diamondback, even after 14 years, this ride still kicks. The drop in the back row is insane and if you lift your legs up a little to get some extra room, you get so much floater airtime. Not crazy intense but it's pretty smooth and so much fun. Better version than Orion.
1Mystic Timbers, so aggressive with a great restraint. So much airtime and incredibly smooth. I haven't met one person who got off this disappointed. I love this ride, even with the shed being a little disappointing.
Overall, this park is fantastic, and the ride lineup is top tier. I am so glad to call this my home park and I can't wait to see what they do next. I'm close to calling it the best park in Ohio, but the top rides just don't quite match up to Cedar Point's Maverick, Steel Vengeance, Millenium Force.

From the East Liverpool Historical Society:
"The body of a nude young woman was discovered along State St. in the East End in 1944, and neither she nor her slayer were ever identified.
An 18-year-old River Rd. youth found the corpse June 5 around 7:30 am., wrapped in two green blankets and unclothed except for a torn pink slip around her shoulders.
Sam Winters, a high school football player, was on his way home from Crucible Steel Co, at Midland where he worked overnight. He had left a bus at Mulberry St and was walking along State St. when he noticed a pair of bare feet extending from blankets.
He ran to a nearby site and telephoned police.
Apparently strangled, the victim lay on her back in a cluster of weeds about eight feet from the roadway. The blankets were secured to the body with a seemingly little-used clothesline.
The woman was between 25 and 30, with dark brown hair and brown eyes, about 5 foot 6 and weighing around 125 pounds.
County Coroner Arnold Devon reported no marks on the body other than a discoloration on the left shoulder at the base of the neck The body was still warm when found, and Devon estimated the time of death around 5 a.m.
Sheriff George Hayes made plaster casts of tire tracks in the cinder road for possible future identification of the auto used to transport the body. All city police were called to duty in a hunt for clues and visits to restaurants and taverns to locate someone who would recognize the victim.
The following day - Sunday -- an East End man hunting for canvas to build his children a play tent, rummaged through trash at Columbian Park where a carnival had played the previous week. He came across a torn dress and another dress and skirt with rips.
It was discovered that the dead woman resembled one of the five girls in a picture of the Sheesley Carnival's "Gay New Yorkers revue. Sheriff Hayes traveled to Lima where the carnival was playing, but telegramed city police, "Girl in question was on show last night."
Meanwhile, the body was interred at Spring Grove Cemetery after a brief service at the Dawson Funeral Home where some 1,500 viewed the victim out of curiousity or in hopes of recognizing her.
Later the funeral home officials barred anyone from visitation other than out-of-towners sent by police.
Dozens of calls were received from relatives seeking a missing relative or friend, and from law agencies asking a description.
Her fingerprints were sent to the FBI at Washington in hopes that she made have worked in a war industry and identity could be made. But Director J. Edgar Hoover notified Police Chief Hugh McDermott there was no match.
More clues turned up. A St. George St. man putting away his car at 4:10 a.m. saw a driver switch off the lights of his auto as he pulled onto State St. at the railroad underpass. He was positive the license was not a blue and white Ohio tag.
OTHER LEADS died out. A woman who had quarreled with her husband in a hotel at midweek and disappeared from the show was found at her home in North Carolina.
Benwood, W. Va., police were looking for a missing woman with a leg scar. A Shadyside Ave. girl who had not been seen since Friday night in a Wellsville tavern did not match the body description of "Miss X.
Cincinnati police thought she may be a missing 20-year-old girl, but she had false teeth and the slain woman's were natural.
Today, the only known traces of the victim exist within a Spring Grove Cemetery plot, on police and funeral home records and in yellowing newspaper accounts."

Can someone contact the local coroner's office or Sheriff and ask them to put this woman into NAMUS? I did some digging but couldn't find any contact info that was concrete and for sure, only stuff that was outdated. There are entries on NAMUS and the DN much older than this case, and just because this woman has gone unidentified for 79 years doesn't mean she doesn't deserve to have her name back.

It’s clear at this point that Gray and Donald both possess the same ability of being able to predict the opponent’s moves much earlier than any other fighter based on subtle cues like a twitch, body position, psychological state or position of center of gravity. However Gray’s physical weakness compared to Donald might very well turn out to be his advantage. How you ask?
Donald has not had the need to invent unusual and novel offensive moves and techniques like Gray has had to, to compensate for his physical limitations. Donald could read his opponent’s moves and counter with vicious conventional offensive moves. But since his offensive moves are conventional, Gray will likely be able to read them as usual and it will be very hard for Donald to land hits. Gray’s movements on the other hand are so unusual that Gray himself wouldn’t be able to predict his own moves if he were fighting a clone, and likewise neither would Donald. So Gray will be able to land hits.
So Gray’s physical weakness will end up being the ace up his sleeve. Would also be a poetic substantiation of the series title.

I have incredibly detailed and strange dreams almost nightly but I wrote this one down and wanted to share. It was also a musical so that was interesting lol. Sorry for the formatting, I wrote it all down half asleep as soon as I woke up.
Large parking lot like building has stores during the day like Japan open air market for clothes etc beautiful jewelry etc
As the sun goes down it turns more alt and punk the clothes get more alternative and there’s sex stores and piercing stores
Dark skin girl and white girl are friends and have a fun time there
Both girls get deep into the alt culture and eventually get famous
Dark skin girl gets famous and eventually gets the most tongue piercings record
White girl gets famous somehow basically for being hot
Weird moments of flashbacks to eerie moments on the streets
Dark skin girl running around trying to find the parking structure
When she’s there she’s happy and with friends and famous
She sings a song, light hearted about how happy she is, there’s an ensamble singing of all the people that hang out in the parking lot shop building
She goes to one of the sex shops and it’s kinda in an attic and has intense sex with the Asian guy
She’s the poster child for a piercing shop since she has the most tongue piercings and stands outside so people can walk by and make out with her
The Asian guy walks past and makes out with her intensely and people walk by like um y’all good
Flashback for dark skinned girl and she’s running through the streets scared, running through alleyways and construction. People on the street are wearing shirts that say things like you’re almost there get out etc. She happens upon a crashed cop car and she runs up to help. The cop says he crashed because someone stabbed him with a heroin needle while he was stopped at a light and dosed him. The girl starts to back away slowly and she feels the world getting dark and real around her. The cop says he stopped doing that shit when he was a kid and has been clean for 30 years. The girl backs away more and starts to run away, still looking for the parking structure. She finds it and everything is different, not happy. Run down. Ugly. She sees her white friend and Asian guy that she’s kinda dating now. She’s relieved but she asks what’s going on and they tell her she’s been doing heroin for the last year. She finally remembers the first time she tried it and realizes she’s been basically living in a dream this whole time. White girl doses her again and she passes out.
Asian guy is mad at white girl but she convinces him to keep lying to her and keep dosing her in secret. Hes being manipulated by her through emotional means as well as the fact that she buys him sex toys and sex merch etc. He’s a sex addict. She basically runs the underground drug sex mall at this point and he can’t really say no to her because she can ruin his life.
He continues to dose dark skinned girl and she continues thinking she has an amazing life being famous and hot and has everything she ever wanted
Meanwhile white girl is doing meth. She’s aware of everything that’s happening and is running the show. There really are shops and she helps run them. The shops also sell drugs and sex and she’s the kingpin and the pimp. We don’t know how it got to this point as we’ve been following dark skin girl the whole time. She has flashbacks too when she was like dark skin girl, happy and famous. There’s magazine covers showing white girl curvy and sexy she has thick hips and big boobs and a full face.
Asian guy comes to white girl a week or so later and tells her he won’t manipulate and secretly give drugs to dark skin girl anymore. White girl goes into a song about how she has everything he wants and she knows what he wants. She gives him cool shirts and sexy posters. Shirts with sexy girls on them. And he thinks for a moment but ultimately tells her no. Then the building grows shelves that are sky scraper heights and he’s trapped in them she’s still singing and her people that follow her start pushing stuff off the shelves at him all sex related merch and she’s singing about how he can’t escape she has everything he wants she gave him dark skinned girl to fuck however he wants.
Dark skinned girl hasn’t been dosed in a while and she’s starting to see reality again. She’s running through the parking lot market as it turns to more and more disturbing scenes. She ends up in a stairwell and is met with Asian guy and white girl arguing. She’s starting to understand and spirals down figuratively and literally. She ends up at the bottom of the stairs. We’ve never seen this area before. It’s dark and gross and looks like a torture chamber or cell or gross solitary confinement. White girl tells Asian guy see what you did. She’s miserable now. They say nothing and leave.
White girl is walking around the city and sees a park. She walks towards it and remembers for a moment her life before meth. She sees herself on the swings, decrepit and skinny and sad. We find out she’s anorexic here. In all her previous appearances she’s curvy and beautiful and full of color and life. The self she sees is in a white dress that is way too big for her and her face is skinny and her hair is dull. She’s sad that she’ll never be skinny and beautiful. She never eats but it’s not enough. She’s not beautiful. She sees herself doing meth for the first time. And how easy her life becomes. She’s able to never eat and be the beautiful girl she wants to be. She’s able to be a go getter and do all the things she’s always wanted to do. She does a million tasks at once and is good at every one of them. She turns around and does meth right there in the park.
Dark skin girl is in the stairwell but coming to. Asian guy is gone. She realizes where she is and remembers when she came her with her mom as a kid. They were shopping, they were poor. The girl sees a crystal dish ware set and asks her mom if they can have it. Her mom is shaking and nervous and almost says something before an old man worker comes over and asks if they want it wrapped up. The mom almost says something again and the old man secretly signals to the mom that it’ll be on the house, free. The mom says yes and they take the set home.
Dark skin girl physically climbs the stairs to get out of the dark gross place and once she’s not below the ground in a basement anymore, she’s sees the sunlight. It’s blinding and painful so she puts her hands over her eyes to shield some of the light. She sees the sun rising. It’s beautiful and she feels proud for getting out of the basement. She sees the natural beauty of the world for the first time since the old man gave them the dish set. She falls to her knees.
Then I woke up.
I don’t do drugs, I live a normal healthy life, but I have incredibly detailed and dramatic dreams like this almost daily. Thoughts? Lol
