2016 Nissan Sentra Issue
2023.06.05 04:58 OV_XENO 2016 Nissan Sentra Issue
Hello, I have a 2016 Nissan Sentra SR, I've been having a problem with it recently. It feels like my car is slipping and recovers but eventually does it again, this happens now and then. The weird thing is I had my transmission replaced only a couple of months ago, now what it does is completely lose power and will not allow any gas to it, and the battery and check engine light come on, yet it does not store a code. I'm at a loss for what it is and I've taken it back to the mechanics' shop who did my transmission twice and it still hasn't been fixed. What can it be? I really need the help as I just want to drive my car.

I've recently became in need of a new car. There seems to be many of these for sale. Which one is best and more reliable? Which ones tear up most and you wouldn't buy? Some people say jeep compasses are terrible, are they? Which of these cars have you had the least issues from? Please help!!

2023.06.05 04:18 TruthWilling9327 Seeking Guidance on Restoring Instrument Cluster Backlight Illumination After Aftermarket Stereo Installation in a 2001 Nissan Sentra GXE
While installing an aftermarket stereo in my 2001 Nissan Sentra GXE, I made a crucial oversight. Instead of using an aftermarket adapter kit, which would have made the wiring process easier, I decided to splice the wires directly. This decision has led to the current issue I'm dealing with - the backlight illumination for my instrument cluster isn't working.
I've found two wires associated with the instrument cluster illumination: a yellow/red wire for backlight illumination and a red/yellow wire for backlight illumination dimming. When I turn on the headlights, both these wires are receiving power, but the illumination for the instrument cluster still doesn't work.
I'm at a loss on how to connect the illumination and dimmer wires to the aftermarket stereo or another circuit that activates with the headlights. Could you guide me on how to properly wire these to restore the illumination of my instrument cluster? Or perhaps suggest an alternative solution to this issue?
EDIT: I only have one wire on the aftermarket radio that has backlight illumination labeled

2023.06.05 03:21 Puzzleheaded_Long547 Update on wifi/internet reliability in Puerto Escondido? Last visited in summer 2017.
I visited Puerto about 6 years ago and absolutely loved it, but the internet wasn't reliable enough to work from. Has the internet/data reliability improved? I've heard some people have Starlink now, how fast/reliable is it -- is it popular among rental properties and small businesses (cafe/coffee shops)?
I have a remote full time job, and I can't work if the wifi goes down. My internet at home is around 50mbps down / 4mbps up (not blazing fast, but reliable). My dream is to spend part of the year in PE and work from there, but I haven't wanted to risk getting there and the internet/data going out for a couple of days.
If anyone has personal experience with this, please share - thanks!

2023.06.05 02:08 RadGuySometimes Please help Nissan Maxima 2017
I have a 2017 maxima (54,000 miles) and have never had any issues always maintain the car with oil changes.
I do need break pads.
Today the AEB and VDC light went on. Then went off. Then went on again along with the check engine light.
What could this be?
I know the car does have some recalls. Could that be it?
The lights came on after I was pulling out of a parking lot and the tires almost spun out on their own. I wasn’t going fast or anything. Thinking this has something to do with it.
Any help is appreciated. I can’t take it to Nissan until Tuesday.

2023.06.05 02:04 LankyAbrocoma6783 Good Fun Car to Buy?
I am a recent college graduate who is considering getting a different car once my finances will allow me to do so. I currently have a 1995 Civic LX 4-door, which I inherited back in 2017 when I first got my license. It only had 60k miles on it at the time and was in absolutely mint condition. I've loved this car and it surprisingly still turns heads everywhere I take it. Six years later and it now has 183k miles on it and is starting to show its age. It's an automatic and the acceleration is very underwhelming (11 seconds 0-60 on a good day 😂). It's also starting to have some annoying problems that keep nickel and diming me (electrical problems with headlights/brake lights, occasional fluid leaks) and I'm concerned it may start to become unreliable in a few years.
I'm looking to get a car that's fun to drive, must be a manual transmission, preferably rear-wheel drive, though I'd be open to front-wheel drive, no AWD though, and preferably small and light weight. I'm ok with 2 or 4 doors, although I'm leaning towards 2 doors. Rear seats would be nice too, but not a requirement. Also must be reliable enough to be a daily driver. I live in Southern Arizona and it rarely, if ever, gets snowy or icy, and it doesn't rain much either, so weather won't be an issue. Ideally I'd want something with a 0-60 time of under 7 seconds. I also prefer Japanese cars.
So far I've looked at the early Lexus IS 300 (which is really hard to find in good shape and with a manual transmission), and the Subaru BRZ, which I'm kind of leaning towards.
My budget would be roughly $15,000 max, but I'd be willing to look at something cheaper if it checks all the boxes.
Any other advice on what I should get would be very appreciated. I'm sure there are lots of other options I haven't thought of.

2023.06.04 22:18 SteveTheBluesman Most reliable new BMW and Audi coupe/sedan models?
Will be in the market soon. I love the look, feel and power of some of the German models, but am concerned with reliability and maintenance costs. (I think the S5 coupe is a classic design.)
I have been a Honda guy for a long time, coming out of a 2017 Civic EX-T Coupe with a Ktuner, but all that really interests me with their new offerings is the TLX Type S.
Daily driver, 8-10k miles per year, do my own maintenance. Value looks, power, features and reliability are my keys. $50-$60k budget.
Thoughts?

2023.06.04 18:51 Three50z Reliable lift
I’m looking to get a ready lift 7inch lift for my 2017 Silverado. Was looking for what else I’d need to make it a reliable lift, I don’t want to blow my drive shaft all the time. I’m also putting 35s on it and I’m wondering what gearing I should put in my differential so I have better acceleration

We recently purchased a Xuv 700 and already owns a Suzuki Ciaz 2017. As both of them are pretty Big sized cars we are thinking of selling the Ciaz and buying a small sized car costing around 7-8 lakhs for daily use as you know the conditions of delhi's roads traffic. What do you guys suggest should we keep the Ciaz or Sell it and Buy a small car and what car do you recommend in this price range with best driving experience and reliability.

2023.06.04 16:01 xenontrimun109 2018 Mazda 3 GS, 105K miles, $10K USD. Reliable for another 100k?
Posted on
whatcarshouldibuy but figured should post here too.
1 owner, no reported accidents, service records go from 2017-2023. It is the 2.0L 4cyl engine. No oil change was recorded until the 50k miles mark, then oil change happens roughly every 10k mile. Every year the car was rustproof. It is a manual transmission and was assembled in Japan. Being sold by a Mazda dealership as a certified pre owned. Looking for a car that's sporty and roomy yet reliable.
Please let me know if this is a good buy! It would be my first time buying a Mazda.
