I've lost something i love the most. My friends saw that. They were the first-hand witnesses of how much i loved it. Nung magkakaklase pa kami, nakita nila pano ako sumaya dahil duon. Yung laman ng gc namin, bukambibig ko yun. Alam nila kung gaanong napakaimportante sa akin iyon. Ilang years na, simula nung magstart kaming magshs hanggang sa ngayong college kami. Lagi ko bukambibig at nakita nila gaano ako kapassionate magpour out ng love sa bagay na yon. Sometimes they are even reminded of me by the things na connected duon.
Alam kong hindi nila ako responsibilidad kamustahin at lahat kami mentally unstable at andaming problema sa buhay pero sana kahit simpleng "kumusta ka?". Sana kahit konting comfort. Andaming nagmsg sa akin non, pero sa kanila lang ako umiyak talaga. Pero mas nakakuha pa ako ng confort sa mga taong hindi ko naman madalas makausap at nakita lang ang mga ig stories/tweets ko. Pero medyo naiintindihan ko rin naman kasi pansin ko sa grupong ito, di talaga sila marunong magexpress ng emotions at awkward talaga sila. At aminado rin naman silang awkward silang magcomfort. Medyo nagexpect lang ako na sa lahat ng taong nakakausap ko, sa lahat ng taong nakaalam ng balita, sila yung unang magccomfort at magiging safe space ko magrant kung gaano ako nasasaktan dahil sa lahat, sila talaga nakakita kung paano ako napasaya, napangiti nung nawala sa akin. At ilang years nila akong nawitness na ganun. Pero kasi sa lahat, parang sa kanila pa ako hindi nakaramdam na safe mag rant kasi magccause lang ng awkwardness.
Same thing nung may pinakamasayang nangyari sa akin na connected sa bagay na iyon. Isa sila sa una kong sinendan kasi gusto ko ishare yung pinakamasaya at magandang nangyari sa araw ko pero sineen lang ako, kung di pa ako nagfollow up msg, di nila ako marereplyan. Mas sinamahan pa ko maggalak ng mga taong nakakita ng mga ig stories ko. Pag sila naman may sinesend sa gc, inexpress ko talaga na masaya ako for them. Pero pag sila nagsshare sa gc, kahit late ko na nabasa, i really try my best to share their same feeling.
Don't get me wrong, genuine talaga silang friend group. At supportive din talaga sila. Pero may mga bagay na di talaga kami click. Nageexpect lang ako na since nga matagal na kami magkakasama, maggets namin ang isa't isa kapag nagshare kami ng happy or sad moments.
Nagguilty ako kasi sila andali nilang sabihin na itong grupo na 'to ang home at safe space nila. Pero para sa akin kasi, nag aalangan pa akong sabihin na safe space sila. Nagguilty ako kasi winawallpaper pa nila ang mga group photos namin pero hindi ko magawa yun. Mahal ko mga kaibigan ko na 'to as in at sobrang grateful ako sa buhay nila pero di ko alam bakit nararamdaman ko to sa kanila.

I am an infrequent editor. Had an account but can't recover it as I'm primarily mobile and am apparently too blind to find the reset password or forgot password button. I digress. Not important to the issue. Was planning on a small edit to a page about my hometown because it was clearly a mistake, and was greeted with the "Your IP address or range has been blocked. Reason: abuse" I turned off my VPN and went to wifi and I was given the same message but the reason changed to "We think you are a web hosting service" changed to my cellular and got the same message but switched to "Vandalism/talk page abuse."
I understand IP addresses are not always static at one address forever. Or even long term. But I am unable to even make a new account. I have never made inappropriate edits nor have I ever even posted anything but new source data on a talk page. I used my dad's phone as we share a home now and his wifi and cellular data both had similar blocks but for different time periods before block is over. I can't appeal it thru the main appeal Talk page, as all 19 IP addresses I have immediate access to are blocked for 5+ different reasons (not even including both my VPN providers I turned off)
What is happening? Nearly every block is from 1 Wiki admin; Favonian(sp). I get blocking IPs for a month or a week but every IP range in my city and at least 2 neighboring cities gives a block message and no way to make a new account or get my old one back. What the hell is the deal?

So long story short, met my SO as a teenager and have spent half my life with him. House, kids, stable economy etc. everything is great in that aspect. But there hasn’t been any passion or feelings past 10 years. Have been thinking of trying someone else on the side for many years but always the guilt holding me back. Last year it just happened when I met a man online in my position exactly and we talked about 7 months before we met even tho we live less than 1 hour drive away from each other.
So first meeting he just picked me up in his car one night when I was alone and we drove around just talking for hours, felt so natural even tho I thought it was gonna be super awkward. We talked a bit about how things would be settled if we decided to cheat and both agreed on “no feelings or a second partner as a double life, just sex”. He dropped me off at my place again and gave me the best hug I’ve probably ever felt (plus he smelled so good I was 1 sec away from inviting him in).
Since then it’s been 8 months and we’ve hooked up several times. Sometimes hotel, sometimes just in the back of the car. He even agreed last month to come to my house when my SO was away for work in another city even tho he early said that we won’t come home to each other. I got really sick a few months ago and had to go to the hospital with ambulance and ended up really on the edge of not making it. When I had the strength to get on my phone again he was genuine worried and was a really good support during recovery. After that we started to talk a bit more about deeper things and around that point I noticed how I started to develop feelings.. I’ve been too afraid to say anything about it since we agreed on not catching feelings. I’m afraid he’ll “break up” if I say anything, because rn I just wanna meet him and be around him as much as possible even if it means I’m hurting in between for having feelings for him. But I’m also afraid it will go too far that it makes me breaking completely..
I’d never let my feelings ruin his relationship and get in between his family tho. And I’d never ask him to leave his SO because I’m not sure I could leave my family despite this messy situation.
Anyone else in similar situations? How do you handle it? I can’t stop thinking about him and fantasizing about us doing normal couple things instead of sneaking around, and it’s killing me slowly 😅

She came from the USA, and used to have a southern accent....now she's talking in an Australian accent.
I thought it was just a joke at first, but here we are like a week later and she's still talking in a way over exaggerated Australian accent.
I'd understand if you were a child and more susceptible to your environment, but this is a full grown 30 year old woman who's spent all 30 years of her life in the same small southern US town.
Aussie slang, sure I understand picking up on that. But a whole fuckin accent and dialect change?! I feel like that's something that takes yearrrrsss to pick up and have an effect.
Do you just pick up an accent after living in Australia for a certain amount of time? Is she faking it?
Just seems really fuckin weird, like she's trying to fake it, it's exaggerated and just a really weird scenario all together and idk what to make of it 😂

Excuse my typing and grammar. I’m still in shock over getting thrown by a minivan.
I was riding home from work on my Meepo Shuffle S near East Carolina University. I was on the side walk going 12 mph, the same speed as a bike (the reason being is the sidewalk has bumps and cracks so I’m forced to ride that speed). I come up on an intersection (not a traffic light intersection but one where the side streets have a stop sign). The side walk has a clear blind person indicator for the street crossing but there is no crosswalk. Anyways there is a large hill that obstructs vehicles from seeing pedestrians and vice versa. I’m at the street crossing now on the road when a minivan come to the stop sign, does not stop, and she turns right into me. I go flying, luckily I’m not seriously injured and instead got off with scrapes and burns. Police arrive and after a while of ems taking my vitals the officer only approach me twice during the whole investigation and then I get handed with a citation. My board is completely broken and to get a new one of the same model is over $600 on Amazon. All I want is my board reimbursed and this citation thrown out. Officers told me that since my board is a personal item then most likely her insurance won’t cover it. To understand I use my board for everything. Getting groceries, going to work, and going to classes are all done on my board. What can I do in this situation? I will try to link a picture with the citation report. And to clarify she ran a stop while I was already on the road crossing.

So I'm in my early 40s... debt free with mortgage and cars paid off. I work in a factory,make decent money and the wife is a teacher.
My mother lives alone, her house been paid off for decades but shes 70, overweight, and is a bad diabetic. I have to go there after work each day and draw her insulin, shop for her, pay her bills and taxes, mow her property, on and on. Shes becoming more and more bed ridden and its getting harder to deal with her needs since I'm not getting any younger myself and have to drive across town every time she needs something.
Its really time for a nursing home or figure out how to move her in with me to take care of her more easily. The problem is I don't have the room in my house and the bathroom is upstairs which she isn't capable of climbing at the moment. Also I know she doesn't want to go to a nursing home so that's the last resort.
I'm thinking I need to sell her house and use the money as a down payment on a bigger house that we all could live in and be able to take care of her in, it would be another mortgage that I will have to pay off, but at least we could have her under the same roof to give her better care. I could also rent my current house so that would help pay bills at a new place, along with her social security income... Those 2 things could supplement me and the wife's incomes and the new mortgage/bills.
The problem is she keeps telling me she cant sell her house because her friend once told her the state is going to take it from her past medical bills when she had breast and skin cancers removed and the bills I guess were never paid but shes 70 on medicare I believe.... I had to enroll her in extra help to cover her insulin but that's all I know, all her past bills that were acquired when my father was still alive I'm not sure of. The whole medical system dealing with her medicare is hard enough for me to try to understand, everyday it seems she has a stack of new medical literature packets in the mail - I don't know how they expect an elderly person to understand any of it.

I remember reading somewhere that as long as she didn't die within a 5yr window after selling her house they couldn't come after it as an asset of hers to cover past medical bills. Any ideas,thoughts, or suggestions where to go from here?

I’ll make this shirt and sweet. I was in the process of becoming an officer in the army, but I got hurt early in training. Ended up making matters worse by pushing through the pain and was discharged with nerve damage in my ankle. I needed the military to work, I was taking baby steps to become the person I knew I could be… to gain independence, adventure, travel, and take on responsibility. I had genuine passion for it.
I’ve been home for 8 months now and I sorta just been floating around. I managed to get a job I actually love (campus public safety). It does offer free tuition for under grad and grad school, although the pay isn’t enough for me to move out. I have a bachelors in criminal Justice and have decided not to pursue law enforcement anytime soon. My ankle limits me from manual labor, so I’m keeping my options open. I just don’t know what to do anymore.

Mostly looking for opinions on whether it’s fair to be a bit peeved at my current situation
I work at a bowling alley bar where the lanes all have a server. For the most part it’s a fun gig, but the clientele tends to be more conservative with how much they wanna tip after having to pay $120/hour to bowl with 4 people, so a night where you average $15-17% is VERY GOOD while a 12% night tends to be the norm.
We tip out based on sales, 3% to food runners, 2% to bussers, and 4% to the bar. In theory this should be fine, but it really feels like the servers are taking on most of the risk while everyone else gets a tip no matter what. Also, what can happen sometimes is that you either leave with a pathetic amount or get dangerously close to making nothing on a weekend. Last night I had a single table tip me $85 on $250 which was awesome, buuuuut the following 5 tables gave me a whopping $14 total on $400 in sales.
Think I’d be justified in trying to rally for a restructuring of the tipout system? Or should I just keep my head down and look for something else?

I work at a bowling alley bar where the lanes all have a server. For the most part it’s a fun gig, but the clientele tends to be more conservative with how much they wanna tip after having to pay $120/hour to bowl with 4 people, so a night where you average $15-17% is VERY GOOD while a 12% night tends to be the norm.
We tip out based on sales, 3% to food runners, 2% to bussers, and 4% to the bar. In theory this should be fine, but it really feels like the servers are taking on most of the risk while everyone else gets a tip no matter what. Also, what can happen sometimes is that you either leave with a pathetic amount or get dangerously close to making nothing on a weekend. I feel my height has actually made my psyche irreparably worse forever. To be honest I can deal with people taking jabs because I'm not soft and have other things going for me, but thinking about shit like this really does fuck up how you think about human nature. Just by observing people you can mostly tell how they're treated and by consequence how they act, we are at core just animals.
I first saw all the goofy ass MGTOW shit at 12, and since I've always watched too much YouTube I watched it quite a lot. It's pretty bad to be fed defeatist content just when you begin puberty and liking girls, and I feel it really did destroy my ability to have genuine and strong emotions / connections. Now I feel that I got to see the end of an era, where "pills" and such were vocabulary of a small community of internet gremlins. It worries me that it's getting more popular and that being a shallow dickhead is becoming more acceptable for both men and women. This could all just be that I was too young to realise how widespread it was, however.
Height of course is central to all of this discourse, and I've felt insecure about it for a good few years now. Since I was a desperate wee lad I would try to stretch and such to get taller. I've went to the gym since I was 12 so eating more has just made me the final boss of the manlets. It's funny, people either compliment me for my physique or beat me down for my height - maybe that could be workout motivation for some of you. Alas, my youthful efforts were in vein and I'm the shortest in my family at 5'6 (my other siblings have different, taller dads). Probably doesn't help that my parents were already old (40s and 50s) when I was born. I don't think I'll ever beat the "insecurity", considering how in modern society it is basically an 100% objective advantage. I will say that the "environment hunter gatherer advantage" cope is a turbo giga cope and you are coping hard rn if you say that (this is the most autistic sentence I have ever concocted but it's true).
I just don't get the point of trying at shit anymore. I get good grades, play some instruments, learned Spanish and recently benched 250lbs, but it's all just distractions from the complete lack of normal human emotion I feel. I can pretend I do to have a social life and talk to girls (which I think I find easier since I just tell them what they want to hear), but I go home and just want to fucking die fr. I think that's the most brutal thing, that once you come to places like here it's insanely difficult to escape.
I think I'm going to finally try and quit YouTube and beating off while I'm at it (generic self-improvement stuff), and just generally be productive in the Summer. I don't want to piss my life away just because I'm a lost 16 year old. I probably sound really edgy and childish, but I guess the vent tag is there for anybody. And if anyone is feeling lost and like they want to just end it, stay strong, I get it.

Please if you love doing a PhD don’t read (I’m happy for you). I’m in the 4th year of my PhD program and I’m finally (almost) done with my tests and have finished 2 paper drafts out of 5 that I need for my dissertation. I’ve done so many time consuming tests that we didn’t even use, so much time wasted… But looks like the finish line is getting closer(?). Throughout these 4 years my advisor would always gossip about how people who go to industry are stupid and low level people, so, I always told him what I thought he likes to hear “I love academia, I love research” blah blah. The truth is, I don’t even like my major let alone doing a PhD but I’m only doing this because I wanted so desperately to leave my home country. Towards the end of the third year I realized I want nothing to do with academia, the constant stress, heavy physical labor in lab, expectations of not having a life and staying in the lab the whole day and night and not expecting money (!) and so on. I just can NOT do this any longer than I have to. I was so stressed about switching to industry (I don’t know why I thought it’s so hard to do) I was even scammed by a company that “helps PhD graduates to transition to industry” (leading to months of depression). I eventually accepted a job offer in industry but when I slightly mentioned that I may look for jobs at some point and I may need him to be a reference, my advisor flipped and got mad and said “you’re not going anywhere any time soon!” So I had to lie and say I’ll stay and do whatever he wants. Which then he changed his tune saying “oh you’ll definitely graduate soon.” my advisor thinks I’m in love with academia and even offered me an instructor job for after PhD (instructor job plus full time research but they’re not paying me for that!!). Now I’m stressed and panicking every single day because I don’t want him to find out before I defend. I don’t even know how I’m going to say I’m leaving. He’s going to kill me cause he always mentions all the AMAZING research we’re gonna do together.
