I honestly don’t know what to make of this rn and I’m freaking out a little bit. Any advice is much appreciated. My mom and I were talking and she brought this up, she said remember Christopher? and started talking about a party she threw one year for Thanksgiving where people from AA brought a bunch of different dishes and that was the most crowded our house ever was, other than my sister’s funeral. I couldn’t recall. My mom says that Christopher was the babysitter for AA meetings, and she said I really really hated him but she didn’t know why.
My mom says Christopher came to the Thanksgiving party and that he apparently did something that really upset me (she said I was hysterical but everything was so busy with the party so she couldn’t deal with me and she sent me to my room) and said she never knew what he did that night, why I hated him, or why I would repeatedly say he was a child molester when my mom would bring him up. I don’t remember any of this. Didn’t remember his name or that my mom had invited him to the party, didn’t remember the party and I didn’t remember whatever negative interaction that occurred between Christopher and I. I have zero recollection of any of this. All I remember is a sick feeling of disgust, that he had long, curly brown hair and “he’s a child molester” is what my mom says I would always say to her? When she just brought this up today she admitted she had no idea what I meant when I would say he was a child molester but that I repeatedly said that about him when she brought him up (and ig somehow never wondered why? whatever, not important).
My brain is screaming… can someone please help me make sense of this? I would have been newly 10 years old when this occurred, 6 months prior to this I was being groomed and abused physically and sexually by my foster dad and i know victims of past sexual trauma are more likely to be victimized again but I didn’t think it applied to me in that way. I just want to preface this by saying that I know very little about psychology and the DSM-5 outside of my own issues and struggles with what I believe it to be CPTSD after many years and types of abuse that I’m not going to go into. I’ve had a grand total of 2 therapy sessions and haven’t been diagnosed with anything at the moment. Feel free to correct me if anything I say here is wrong.
I find there to be several large glaring problems with the concept of personality disorders.

• Calling them personality disorders is a term that’s almost bound to engender shame. Its labelling your whole personality as the trauma reactions you’ve learned as coping/survival mechanisms and other remnants of the abuse. It’s failing to see that people have personalities underneath all of their trauma, but even more importantly that these personalities CAN be unveiled over time, as is shown time and time again. Healing is possible. Labelling someone with a personality disorder is completely giving up hope of them ever changing and reversing their negative thought patterns. I can imagine it feels like being marked as a specimen in a test tube for further analysis, not understood as someone who’s deeply wounded and needs time and resources to heal.

Moreover, even if it doesn’t cause shame internally, there’s no doubt that it’s a socially shameful label to have. I’ve seen many people on here talk about how mentioning that you have NPD, ASPD, or similar disorders is enough for others to assume you’re abusive and a danger to society.

• The idea of people fitting neatly into boxes of all encompassing “personality” disorders is almost laughable. Everyone’s experiences are different, and while there are bound to be similarities in how trauma affects people, I don’t see how its possible to neatly categorise them into 10/12 bins. Does anyone actually fit into one of these categories? Based on my own experience, I can see myself having PPD. Im constantly nervous that people are going to harm me physically or emotionally, even those I should trust most. However, I could also believe I have NPD. From a young age I had delusions of grandeur, and would frequently tell myself that I was better than everyone else around me. Sometimes my empathy disappears completely. But I also seem to nearly every symptom of OCPD. I could probably draw similar parallels between myself and nearly every personality disorder there is. Maybe I’m the exception? But I feel like most people don’t magically fall seamlessly into one of these categories.
  
• Let’s say everyone did fit neatly into these boxes, somehow. What tangible benefit would it even hold? It’s not like sticking a deeply socially-shamed label on yourself is going to help anything. In an ideal world I could see it being useful for finding a support community, specialised therapist, or easily explain to others what you’re struggling with, but I’m doubtful any of this actually happens.

I (21m) have been dating my girlfriend(20f) for 1 and a half years. We actually dated for a little over a year when we were 14. it was my first love and it was one of the best times of my entire life, but when it ended it ended very toxicly. when we broke up she definetly started a “hoe” phase and i would frequently hear about it from friends etc..I never ended up dating anyone else but she had a few boyfriends and was a frequent party girl. We ended up crossing paths after highschool and caught up again and ever since we’ve been together again she’s been amazing and i almost never question anything about her loyalty to me. a couple days ago i caught her in a lie about a guy who i heard a story about my girlfriend and him doing things at a party. when she lied it set me off and i ended up checking her phone. i found so many things that made me sick to my stomach even tho most things i feel like i’m not allowed to be mad at but it honestly takes a toll on me and i feel like every time i look at her now that’s all i can think of and it disgust/angers me and i get mad at myself for feeling that way towards her. any advice?

Hi Guys, This is a long one so get your popcorn... I (23F) and my boyfriend (23M) have been together for 5 months now. He has been a great partner with the exception of a few spats we've gotten into. He's gentle, kind, and very loving towards me and i am not ashamed to admit that im very in love with him. Though when he is upset with me, he has a very difficult time taking responsibility for his actions/words. Yesterday day we were "netflix party-ing" a show and texting each other with thoughts, since we dont live together, when he suddenly stopped replying. I messaged him asking if we were going to continue watching the show and recieved no answer. I decided that he mustve not noticed his phone go off with the message. It had been 45 mins since the text with no reply so i called. The call goes normally and he informs me that he was, in fact, still watching the show and he didnt see my messages. I jokingly mention how I now have to catch up (something i dont mind at all) and tell him to text me as im about to start doing my night routine. **we always text before we go to bed and send "goodnight" texts whether or not we were on the phone prior** I leave my phone in my room and go take a showedo everything i need to do for the evening. this took me about 30 mins. I return and noticed he had never answered. Concerned, i called again. This time the conversation was anything but normal: he responded very angrily. Im paraphrasing, ofc, but the jist of it was: Me: Hey whats wrong? everything okay? Him: my god you didnt even give me the chance to f***text you back bro give me two f**** minutes yo. youre so f**** annoying. You always do this. You always have to have some sort of F******* issue bro. Me: oh....okay? goodnight i guess? Him: *Hangs up* I texted him and asked him what his problem was to which he responds and immediately deflects and starts saying i am overreacting. He then stops answering completely. The last message sent from me was at about 10:45pm It's important to note something here, I have very severe anxiety and had recently weened off my mediciation (with doctor's supervision). I havent been feeling myself these last couple days, something i believe is the result of getting off the meds. but to make a long story short, i am in a very heightened state of anxiety. My boyfriend not only knows this, but has been helping me through some of my panic attacks. Like anyone else, I have always had my insecurities in our relationship, usually revolving around the fact that im always anxious/annoying and it irritates him. This phone call confirmed it. The messages after the phone call ranged from me asking what was wrong to fully panicking that we were going to break up. This led to a very very severe anxiety attack. Hyperventilating, crying, shaking. I ran into the shower, hoping the warm water would calm me, so i ended up on the floor of my shower, water washing over me, while taking deep breathes. At around 3am i dragged myself to bed and fell asleep. I know to some this may sound like an overreaction, but not being on medication has really made it difficult to control my emotions, specifically my anxiety. I have intense abandonment issues and an anxious attachment style. What he said was literally my worst nightmare coming true. This morning, i recieve a text message from him asking me what had happened last night. Confused, angry, and hurt - i told him what had went on and proceeded to tell him never to speak to me again. He tells me he has no recollection of this conversation and that he only remembers the first phone call. I asked him how that could be so when I recieved 2 text messages from him after the second and last phone call. He doubles down on not remembering. Throughout this entire day, he seems irritated that i can't let this go. He refuses to take any accountability for it, though has said "sorry" to (i believe) just shut me up. I love my boyfriend but his words hurt me very deeply and his lack of care today has only made it 10 times worse. I dont know whats going on or what i should do. Please, any advice would be helpful.

My mom and I were talking and she brought this up, she said remember Christopher? and started talking about a party she threw one year for Thanksgiving where people from AA brought a bunch of different dishes and that was the most crowded our house ever was, other than my sister’s funeral. I couldn’t recall. My mom says that Christopher was the babysitter for AA meetings, and she said I really really hated him but she didn’t know why.
My mom says Christopher came to the Thanksgiving party and that he apparently did something that really upset me (she said I was hysterical but everything was so busy with the party so she couldn’t deal with me and she sent me to my room) and said she never knew what he did that night, why I hated him, or why I would repeatedly say he was a child molester when my mom would bring him up. I don’t remember any of this. Didn’t remember his name or that my mom had invited him to the party, didn’t remember the party and I didn’t remember whatever negative interaction that occurred between Christopher and I. I have zero recollection of any of this. All I remember is a sick feeling of disgust, that he had long, curly brown hair and “he’s a child molester” is what my mom says I would always say to her? When she just brought this up today she admitted she had no idea what I meant when I would say he was a child molester but that I repeatedly said that about him when she brought him up (and ig somehow never wondered why? whatever, not important).
My brain is screaming… can someone please help me make sense of this? I would have been newly 10 years old when this occurred, 6 months prior to this I was being groomed and abused physically and sexually by my foster dad and i know victims of past sexual trauma are more likely to be victimized again but I didn’t think it applied to me in that way. Was wo dering if people in here know about how "easy" it would be for me to make money to buy spells and and gear. I see u have to level a craft to 80 to get 5 trusts and im cool with that playing a lone is kinda ideal since i dont wanna spend half of my time getting a party together. How long of a time commitment is that?
Is catseye gunna be around for a while? Is the community helpful if i was to need actual players completing some of the tougher fights?
What are some of the roadblocks i would encounter given my situation above? Is there an ideal job in this meta to play? I remember playing retail and the trust wouldnt dps enough at a certain point. I kinda wanna play rdm or blue since they can kinda "solo" atleast thats how i remember it.

I came out of a long depression about 2 years ago. Since then, everything seems to be going much better, except for my romantic and sexual relationships. In fact, since my early twenties (I'm 28 now) and the start of my depression, I haven't had a relationship that went beyond friendship with another girl. Obviously, this prevents me from feeling fully fulfilled. I've tried dating apps, but they're not for me. And in real life, I literally don't know how to approach a girl I'd like to meet at a party, for example. It's as if I don't have the ability (or the courage?) to engage in this type of discussion as soon as I don't know the person. Yet I don't consider myself ugly or uninteresting, but the self-deprecation I inflicted on myself during my depression is still effective, albeit to a lesser degree. Have any of you ever experienced this continuity of depression beyond the depression itself? It's as if, in the end, you never really come out of it. I'd like to live totally, but I just can't.

On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced a price hike for API calls that poses a serious threat to our favorite third-party mobile apps, depriving users of the awesome features that can't be found in the official mobile app. Third-party mobile apps affected include Apollo to Reddit is Fun, Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user or don't use any of those apps, this change is a hindrance on other ways we customize Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the old.reddit.com desktop interface.
And this issue isn't limited to users alone. Many of our dedicated moderators rely on external tools to keep our community on-target and free from spam on a daily basis. The removal of these tools will make moderation on this subreddit near impossible.

On June 12th, our subreddit, along with many others, will go dark to make a statement against this policy. Some may return after 48 hours, but others may continue to remain dark if Reddit doesn't address the issue.

The city is Hearth Keep, the Capital City of the Diocese of Arcia, and as such is full of government buildings, shops, a guild hall, a museum, and more. The city has a dock and port into the Great Sea and has lots of import and export. The current situation in world is that the Guild Master has trapped a Chimera in the arena, and is looking for adventurers to deal with it. There are jobs to take, houses to buy, exploration to be done, so go wild!
There are server rules, and you will need to agree to them before joining the Server. 1) LGBTQIA+ - We are an inclusive of anyone regardless of their identity or preference. If you cannot be inclusive, you will not fit well with the group. 2) Fade To Black - This is a full city, it's not impossible to have relationships between PCs or even NPCs. However, we require that any "intimate acts" be a fade to black. You're free to do what you like in private messages, but not in server. We also do not allow explicit descriptions of your character, as there is a clothing optional hot spring in the city, so keep it PG13. 3) Socialize - The city will not run if nobody is socializing, so it is up to the players to chat amongst each other, or to chat with members of the city. Surprise test: send your message to me with "I can read" to make sure you've read the rules. 4) RL Comes First - Sometimes people (myself included) have RL issues to attend to. We understand that, we ask that you ooc excuse yourself, or remove yourself from the scene if at all possible to avoid people waiting around. 5) Respect and Boundaries - We use a red card and yellow card system, so please make sure you keep an eye out. If a player's actions are toeing the line of another's comfort ooc, they may react with a yellow card. And if a player's actions make another uncomfortable or takes player agency away and they react with a red card, that means the post is a problem ooc. Please follow the rules regarding this and respect your fellow Players. 6) Main Character Syndrome - I'm sorry to say, you are not the main character. There is no main character, and you'll need to work together or you'll be left in the dust or ignored by PCs. Make your character at least somewhat approachable, or it'll be a very boring time. 7) Rule Breaking - Depending on the severity of the rule breaking, you may get a warning, 1 of 3 strikes, or immediately ejected from the game. If it's a legitimate accident, we understand. But if a player is deliberately hostile or not respecting other players, it can lead to a strike or an immediate ban if serious enough. Please be kind.

Not even a full week. The temptation was there by Day 3. By Day 6 I had the return filed and shipping label printed. I'll be shipping the headset back to Amazon on Monday.
I hate this headset. You name any aspect of it and (barring a single exception) chances are it's got a problem.

• Is it tighter than some of Turtle Beach's previous headsets? Sure. The problem is that in my case it's actually too tight. Like, to the point that it's physically painful if I wear it for more than a couple of hours. I can wear headets from some other companies all day without any issues, so that's for sure not a universal problem. And if it helps put things into perspective, I'm not even a large person or someone with a big head. I'm only 5'5".
  
• On the topic of tightness, the headset has been awful to wear with glasses. Most headsets have a band that allows me to wear my glasses without noticing any issues The Stealth Pro squeezes the arms of them and causes me to feel like my glasses are in a constant state of being about to fall off.
  
• The customizable audio settings? Yeah, those are neat. Too bad they disable themselves every single time I turn the headset off and won't reenable until I reconnect the headset to the mobile app. Whether or not that takes a lot of time doesn't matter, having to do it on a constant basis is extremely annoying.
  
• The bluetooth adapter for my Xbox? Less reliable than what my nearly decade old Stealth 420X has. The Stealth 420X will connect to its bluetooth adapter from roughly twenty feet away no problem. I can even do it through walls. This headset? Sometimes it won't connect unless I'm standing a foot away from the adapter. The maximum range before it becomes unstable while connected is a few few shorter than the Stealth 420X, too.
  
• My Stealth 420X has an annoying issue where sometimes my sound will cut out and be replaced by a loud buzzing noise. That started about four years into owning it. This headset had the same issue develop on Day 4.
  
• The mic settings are a mess. I don't even know what to say beyond that other than no other headset I've owned has been even remotely as bad with voice chat.
  
• I can barely even notice the noise cancellation. Definitely not as good as what I've experienced with other brands, that's for sure.
  
• The headset coming with two rechargable batteries is just about the only positive thing I can say about it. If my Stealth 420X battery dies, that's it. Time to recharge it for a while. If the battery for this headset dies, I'm affected for ten seconds tops. This is the one feature I hope Turtle Beach continues to use.
  

Overall, my complaints about this headset are severe enough that I may never buy a Turtle Beach product again. If I somehow change my mind, it definitely won't be a newer model since the reviews on any retailer's website are clearly biased.
