2023.06.10 16:03 b_jm Problems with Chevy Silverado 1500 LT windows
For months all of my windows roll down but not up except for my driver side window and I’m not sure what the main issue is. The driver side window is the only one that rolls up. I’ve checked the known fuses in the fuse box and they were good. Everything else I’ve read says that It could be the master switch going bad which causes a bunch of problems elsewhere. Has anyone had the same issue or know what the main problem could be?

2023.06.10 06:37 lilrobwey engine power reduced
14 silverado keeps going into limp mode & exhaust gets really loud and engine shakes a bit accompanied by the traction control light. my check engine lights been on for a while reading for catalyst efficiency below threshold both bank 1 & 2. i replaced all 4 o2 sensors & the light stayed on with the same codes. i think my catalytic converts are just super clogged and not letting air get though. i don’t have the extra money to spend on a full replacement right now so would cutting them off myself & having pipes welded in place fix the problem? or am i complete wrong & it’s not the cats at all? any ideas/feedback/suggestions greatly appreciated

2023.06.10 02:09 GunnerGunner0 04 chevy malibu got a P0446 code. Looking for part but idk what autozones picture is showing me.
| Lately ive been having performance issues for like 4 days now ive been having to press the pedal more down and ill notice sometimes at the light while idling the rpm gauge will hesitate every once in a while. This morning it finally threw a P0446 code im at 150k miles and it does suggest checking out the EVAP system components at these miles. Im a little confused because the picture on autozones replacement part is different from my EVAP vent solenoid. What are the chances its the vent solenoid and not the purge valve or gas cap? submitted by GunnerGunner0 to MechanicAdvice [link] [comments] |

2023.06.09 21:57 Forsaken_Good7372 Car Help
I own a 2015 Chevy Sonic LTZ 1.4 Liter engine and I have it paid off and have replaced the coolant system and the PCV Valve. I keep hearing negative things about these cars but mine runs really well! It does have a check engine light on which I think is the O2 Sensor due to the code. My question is should I sell my car or keep it till the wheels fall off?

2023.06.09 21:05 Ok-Volume-9688 2002 Silverado 1500 ABS trouble codes
| These codes popped up on my truck. ABS dash light will come on every once and a while if I go over a bump hard but don’t usually stay on. I’ve noticed every once in a while (once a month) I can feel the ABS do something really funky and not let me push down the brake pedal, usually at slows speeds. What parts do I need for this? Is it safe to drive on until I can get the parts in? submitted by Ok-Volume-9688 to MechanicAdvice [link] [comments] |

2023.06.09 14:26 szhamilton Question about Electrical Issues (2017, 4x4 LT Crew Cab) - What to tell mechanic
Hi, all,
I drive a 2017 4x4 LT Crew Cab. I've had it for 5 years or so. About year or so into owning it (and exclusively during summer months), I'd have these very weird short circuits, primarily at low speeds and only when turning or backing into/pulling out of a parking space. The display would black out, the power steering would lock up, and the whole electrical system would hiccup for a moment before turning back on.
A few times when driving at highway speeds when I'd flip the blinker, the display would black out. Power steering wouldn't cut out (thankfully -- or, at least, I couldn't tell if the power steering cut out).
I took it into the dealer's service center (it was under an extended warranty at the time) and they couldn't replicate the problem (of course). This happened a couple of times. Fast forward a couple of years (May 2021) and the truck got particularly cantankerous on a longer trip. Managed to get there & back, and immediately dropped it off at different mechanic. They took a look, again couldn't replicate the problem, replaced the battery and tightened the battery point connections.
No problems from May 2021 to now (including a couple of longer trips in Summer 2022). We got a hot spell in April, and when waiting in car line to pick up my kids, there was a very brief hiccup in the electric, but it didn't repeat. A few weeks later, we took another long trip (this time with family in tow) on Memorial Day weekend, and when we were there, the truck got real pissy getting into/out of a parking lot. Didn't want to risk a longer trip with my wife & kids, so I rented a car, had the truck transported back to my house, and made an appointment with another mechanic. I've been driving the truck since we got back (10 or so days) and have had no issues with it at all.
I've seen a lot posts on forums about issues related to the ground connections, both in the wheel well and under the dash on the driver's side. I've also read that this is a problem that other drivers of Chevy/GMC trucks/truck-frame SUVs from about 2012-2019 have had. I've heard stories of the soundproofing getting in the way and causing shorts, of the connections getting jostled loose, of it just being poor design in these model years, and so on.
I'm reaching out to you all to see fi any of you have had similar issues with your Silverados, and if so, if you were able to identify the root cause and fix it (either temporarily, as happened in May 2021 when the mechanics merely "tightened the connections", or more permanently.)
I'm not confident that the mechanics will be able to replicate the problem (in fact, I'm sure that they won't; it typically only seems to happen when it's hot (it's not right now) and when the truck has been running for an hour or more. As such, I'd like to equip them with as much intel as I can.
Thanks in advance, Silveradoans!

2023.06.09 06:07 keepermovin69 P0175 and P0172
I have a 2013 Chevy Silverado LT with about 160k miles. Check engine light came on, and I used my obd2 scanner to find p0172 and p0175 codes (system too rich). I viewed live data at idle and while it was being driven and the long term fuel trim from both banks was -30% at idle and while coasting, but went up to single digits when accelerating or at highway speed. Short term fuel trim for both banks was single digits (normal). I changed the air filter and checked for air intake blockages and that didn’t change anything. Spark plugs were all replaced about 6 months ago. O2 sensors are reading at normal voltages according to my scanner. MAF sensor was taken out and blown off with some canned air.
Not sure what’s causing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

2023.06.09 05:58 RalphiegoBoom What are some of your experiences with the newer custom trim Silverado‘s with the four-cylinder?
I am in the process of getting a truck for the house as well as my growing family… I had a Colorado a couple years back and absolutely loved it, but with a newborn I found the truck to be very small and cramped. Now I am revisiting the idea of a family truck, and lo and behold the current model year Silverado‘s have the same blue I had on my Colorado, which I loved!
My local dealers are having some pretty good deals on the Custom trim with the four-cylinder engine, it has a surprisingly impressive towing capacity, which I don’t really plan on towing much, but good to have… I’m a little taken back with the four-cylinder engine on a truck with this size. Would love to get some input on it.
My nephew, who is a mechanic at Chevy advised me against it as he says a lot have come in for repairs. What are some of your personal experiences?
