Hi everyone,
I never play online because I don't have friends that game irl. Recently, I decided to change by posting on Trophies to get some multiplayer trophies and had a great experience meeting and playing with a fellow Redditor. Even though she was from the US, we made it work and got the plat. I'd like to repeat that positive experience, but also just looking for people to game & chill, talk to about gaming, get hyped about upcoming games and so on.
About me: I was a PC gamer my whole life (started in the late 90s) until this generation when the prices of GPUs went crazy before COVID. I bought a series X instead, then got gifted a PS5 by my girlfriend during the pandemic. So I play on both. I also still play on 360/PS3 sometimes. I like RPGs, action-aventure games, shooters, card games, horror games, experimental indie games, rogue-like games, strategy/management games. I am not interested in most Battle Royal games. If you have the GG app, I can add you so you see my whole library. Irl, I'm a scientist. I play evenings/nights (UK).
Here are some games I'd like to play with you:
-Hunt: Showdown on Xbox. I don't have the game yet and I'd like to find someone to play with to commit to the purchase. The ideal would be if you don't have the game yet and you're interested in it or you just bought the game and you're a beginner.
-Chivalry 2 on PS or Xbox. Same situation as Hunt: showdown.
-Aliens: Fireteam Elite on PS. Same situation as Hunt: Showdown.
-Ghost of Tsushima on PS. I never played the MP modes and I'd like to complete all MP trophies. Ideally you already finished the game and didn't try the online yet.
-Salt and Sacrifice on PS. This game is underwhelming in solo. It seems to be designed around coop, since you have to go on hunts over and over again to farm the material necessary for your build. I want to complete the game, I am lvl 50 right now.
-Fallout 76 on PS or Xbox. I tried that game on release on PC and it was a mess and kinda boring in solo. I'd like to start fresh now that the game has been fixed (?) years later on PS or Xbox, with a focus on achievements/trophies.
-Redfall on Xbox. Finished the game and started NG+. It is a bit boring in solo to go through it again, I'd like to complete all achievements. Looking for people in a similar situation.
-Lost planet 2 on Xbox (the 360 version works on Series). The game seems very fun in coop, played a few missions only, in solo.
-Demon's Souls remake on PS. While not exactly a coop game, there are some online components to the game. I'd like to get the plat while playing some sections together and doing the tendency events. I already finished the game, waiting to start NG+.
-Resident Evil 5 remaster on Xbox. I revisited the game (originally played it on PS3) after playing RE4 remake and it should be a really fun coop experience.
-Dying Light 2 on PS. Kinda disappointed in this game. Bought it after Dead Island 2 for some more Zombie fun, but it has many issues. Anyway I'd like to finish it, like I do with all my purchases. In coop it must be better.
-Dead Island definitive edition on Xbox. I want to revisit this game (originally played on PC) after completing Dead Island 2. WHO DO YOU VOODO B****.

Hey, I've been aimlessly rifling through the Strategy section of the Nintendo eShop, and after seeing every manner of cooking game and [insert operation] tycoon, I've decided to outsource my search to Reddit.
Just finishing up replaying Wizard of Legend on Switch (really fun game, great co-op experience) and I'm looking for a different, compelling strategy game. Several games on the store that I've enjoyed are Slay the Spire, Monster Train, Hades, Into the Breach, and Inscryption (not all played on Switch). I still have yet to beat One Step from Eden, and I do like the game, but man does that game kick my butt. My brain is too slow 🤷‍♂️
I really appreciate flexibility in games like Monster Train that allow you to heavily alter strategy. When you get to the end of a whacky run in games like that, it makes you go, "Damn, I'm a genius." And I'm not a smart guy, so I think I just enjoy this alien feeling.
Was wondering if anyone has had any particularly fun experiences with games like these—I.E. compelling strategy games? I've been looking at Wildfrost but it looks a little simple for the price (I'm almost compelled to repurchase Monster Train instead) and Cult of the Lamb, but I've heard the latter is also a bit simple (unsure if true) and is similarly priced. Feeling like I will probably either get Wildfrost or nothing, but I'd like to hear if you've played any cool strategy games that are flying under my radar!
Edit: I decided to get Wildfrost after enjoying the demo. I appreciate the input! Side note: the aesthetic of this game reminds me of Card Wars from Adventure Time (which also had a weirdly good mobile game back in the day)

Hi everyone,
I never play online because I don't have friends that game irl. Recently, I decided to change by posting on Trophies to get some multiplayer trophies and had a great experience meeting and playing with a fellow Redditor. Even though she was from the US, we made it work and got the plat. I'd like to repeat that positive experience, but also just looking for people to talk to about gaming, get hyped about upcoming games and so on (can be just texting on Reddit private messaging system for instance).
About me: I was a PC gamer my whole life (started in the late 90s) until this generation when the prices of GPUs went crazy before COVID. I bought a series X instead, then got gifted a PS5 by my girlfriend during the pandemic. So I play on both. I also still play on 360/PS3 sometimes. I like RPGs, action-aventure games, card games, horror games, experimental indie games, rogue-like games, strategy/management games. I am not interested in Battle Royal games.
