Cornell university pa program prerequisites

In April, I attended a banquet/meet the firms event at a university I was not a student at (was a guest of a professor) and met a recruiter there. I wasn’t an accounting major and am in an MBA program, but am set to graduate in December 2023.
Fast-forward to May 20th, I get a call from the recruiter for an interview the next day. Interview was just with the recruiter and she asked all the general questions I saw online. She said she would give me the results in a week. After some weeks I get another call saying it was an excellent interview and would forward her recommendation to HR and to send in my resume and transcripts.
Today, I got an email from HR to discuss my position.
This is my very first time interviewing for any professional job! I’ve only worked in customer service and food industry previously. So I’m very confused and have been reading this subreddit for info, but I’m still lost.
Where am I in this process? What do you think is my next step?

When I got the first email, I wanted to cry. I just took my first dose of Dupixent a week ago, and I’m already seeing some improvement. My insurance “covered” it, and by that I mean they covered about $1500 of the $3800 balance and wanted me to pay the rest. Fortunately I was able to get the copay card, and I finally felt relieved that I could rely on this med, at least for the next 6 months.
But seeing this? It felt like the universe was playing a big joke on me. My deductible is $1900, and with the copay card it’s already met and I’ve only had this insurance for a month. There’s no way I could possibly pay that entire deductible in one fell swoop, which is what I would have had to do if I didn’t have the copay card. These accumulator laws are so ridiculous and greedy. Insurance companies would literally get whatever you’d pay twice over, since they “can’t accept” any payments that aren’t directly from you towards your deductible.
I almost couldn’t believe my eyes reading the second email. I have to admit, when I think of drug manufacturers, I think of a big room of greedy business men scheming to see what’s the most diabolical way they can bleed their customers dry while also humiliating them. But the Dupixent people are so cool for this debit card program. I don’t even know if my plan will be affected by this, but the fact that I was already given a backup plan just in case is really reassuring.

It's a crazy time these days, isn't it? I'm normally not the best at meeting people, and can often feel a bit lonely, so I thought I'd return to see if I could meet someone on here. :)

A bit about me, I'm a 34-year-old software developer from Copenhagen. I'm an extrovert, so I love being with people, although I struggle a bit with making it happen sometimes due to being on the autism spectrum. It's my impression that people tend to like me, though, so I'm sure you would, too.
I enjoy being creative in my free time. I've done a lot of different types of creative projects over the years; programming, lots of things for our comedic revue at university (like writing songs, being on stage, making videos, ...), building electronics, cooking, mathematics. It's pretty fun to produce something you can show to people, you know? :)
I quite enjoy learning, and spend a lot of time reading (and listening to) books, often non-fiction ones. :) Recently I've started getting into more fiction, and have also gotten myself an e-reader, so my reading pace has really gone up. I just got started on "Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow" by Gabrielle Zevin, and am quite enjoying it so far!
In addition to learning, I also really enjoy teaching and helping other people. I spent a lot of time at university being a TA, and do a lot of training of our new hires at work. Talking to people gives me energy, you know, and it helps me do that with a purpose. :)
Musicals and theatre in general tend to interest me, and I'm trying to slowly catch up to all the great shows I haven't seen yet.
I'm big of physical affection, love me a hug and a cuddle; the warmth of closeness. Sometimes just being in the same room with someone, doing our own things. Going on walks together. Cooking together. Talking during the day on chat, then cuddling up in the evening after we're done.

I have been at my employer for almost 2 years. I started out as a Distribution Associate with over 3 years of Forklift, Inventory Control and warehouse operations. I had applied for a Warehouse Lead at a different facility a few months after starting but was overlooked. They had offered the position to 3 others before finally giving the position to the Lead at my current facility. That person is now a Supervisor at that facility. I had also interviewed for other corporate positions before what happened next. About a year ago, they offered me a Lead position at that same facility where my Lead went but we couldn't come to an agreement on the pay. Two days later, I was contacted by Corporate HR about how my position had been eliminated and had a choice to take a settlement or move to the production side. I chose to go to production because I was under the impression they were eliminating positions by seniority and I wasn't the lowest on seniority, nor had I been applying anywhere.
After a couple months in production, I held a position that was within 40 cents of what they had offered me for the Lead position at the other facility. I found myself in an uncomfortable situation (employee safety) in that department which led me to bid out to an entry position. I had turned in that uncomfortable situation to the employer's ethics hotline. Since then, I have not been interviewed for any positions that I have applied for. I have a bachelor's degree in Business - IT Management from WGU, as well as an AA in emphasis in Programming from University of Phoenix.
Should I stay with the employer or move on?

So to make a long story short, I failed organic chemistry I last semester. The original plan was that I would pass it and take organic chemistry II over the summer in person at a community college, but since I did not manage to get credit for organic chemistry I, I was not able to register for that class. As a result, I decided to take both organic chemistry classes online this summer through my 4-year university. However, as I am about to get ready to take my first exam for organic chemistry I, I realize that the questions on the practice exam are all multiple-choice and extremely easy, way easier than what I had to do last semester. I am starting to get worried about medical schools will see that I ended up taking the easy way out of completing these essential prerequisites and thus will not give me a chance. Is there any chance a high MCAT score (like a 520 or above) will balance out this conundrum, or have my chances of getting into medical school significantly decreased now?

Hi askphilosophy! I joined the other day to make this post, but it needed to be reformulated as an actual question so this is attempt #2. Apologies in advance as I am an absolutely amateur dilettante w/t this topic in every sense.
Type theory relates to logic as a nice exploitation of what is known as the Curry-Howard isomorphism - that proofs are programs, and in particular that to find a term inhabiting a program's type, ie a resulting output, amounts to a proof of the inherent proposition of the program. Various type theories have been explored with their various internal languages - for example dependent type theory corresponds to intuitionistic logic, which can be strengthened to classical logic using so-called decidable types. I understand this is the world of ideal entities or universal Truth, like "Socrates is a man".
Similarly, modal type theories correspond to modal logic, and have often been used to allow programs to deal with real world affairs. For example, linear types like P ⊸ Q use the exponential or !-modality. I understand this can be applied to resource-limited statements like "fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering" (you may or may not still be in "fear" once you reach "suffering").
Modal logic often starts with systems like S4, and includes the K axiom □ (P → Q) → □ P → □ Q (the ability to take a function or implication in context from P to Q, and a P in that context, and get to a Q in that context). Montague investigated the semantic interpretation of modal type theory as intensional or possible-world logic, in which for example "a fish walks" is a sense of "fish walk". The dependent version of this (ie where the type Q depends on the given P) is now accessible by computation here using a non-idempotent version of the flat modality of spatial type theory.
The connection to Deleuze seems to me to start by noticing that the intensional statement "a fish walks" is an event, as well as a becoming-ambulatory of the fish. However my understanding of virtuality is that it is a real mode of existence, unlike possibility which is a mode of non-existence or unreality. Since virtuality relies on concepts of differential relations and singularities, I thought that some kind of differential modality might be enought to support a virtual ontology.
In fact, it is interesting that spatial type theory appears here in the category theoretic treatment of modality (Lambek's name is often appended to Curry's and Howard's). The flat modality was introduced in order to convert ∞-groupoid interpretations of homotopy type theory, which essentially treat propositions like points and proofs like paths, into proper topological spaces. In the mathematics of category theory, modalities can be represented as "right adjoints" and combined using an adjunction operation. Starting from the flat modality, which is already so similar to intensional logic, one can reconstruct the logic of classical physics, as the so-called synthetic differential geometry, by adjoining a single modality - the "infinitesimal modality".
So my question is, do you think Deleuze's conceptualisations of the event and of difference support symbolic treatment in this way in terms of modalities? Instinctually, I could imagine that a modality that produces "pure" atemporal occasions ("a fish walks"), might compose with one that produces pure relations such as in which dy and dx may both vanish (behind a lock in the computational context?) but dy/dx remains meaningful.

I'm typically looking for early career swe roles. I have been applying to internships now and have made around 200 applications with no luck. I need some advice on how to improve my resume.

But I’m curious about which universities have a well recognised/ prestigious English/ English Literature undergraduate programs…

Hi there, I am currently in my summer going into my junior year. I feel like I am so behind, just because my entire freshman year I did not do anything to help my application at all. In my sophomore year, I started getting jobs to hopefully help my social skills/resume by selecting jobs that show I can interact with all types of people, (1 at an elderly care home and 1 working as a paraeducator K-12 during the summer and an ITS desk job during the school year). I pretty much have 10 shadowing and 0 volunteering hours though, but am planning to start within the coming weeks and continue on during my junior school year.
One of my goals this year is to get tutoring job during my school year (the program at my school is super lenient and allows you to choose hours) and somehow showcase my piano skills onto my resume (I've started at the age of 4, but stopped at around 18), maybe by volunteering or something to show dental schools I am also physically gifted with my hands.
My GPA trend starting from freshman year has been 3.23 to 3.48 now. My sGPA is only a 3.1, but Just got organic chemistry out of the way (ended with a B- in I and B in II) so hopefully my GPA trends up from here.
I am in some clubs, but not any that I am super involved in or can get a position on e-board for. The clubs at my university don't really seem to spark my interest, as they're rather cliquey and would much rather spend my time working at one of my jobs or volunteering. Would it be a red flag to not have any clubs on my application, and instead substituting them for these jobs?
My aim was to at least apply right after I graduate in 2025, but I'm not too sure if Im able to fulfill my hours AND be able to study DAT by then. I'm fairly confident in my abilities to double down my next two years, but just not sure so if anyone has some encouraging words I'd be glad to hear it!
With all of this in mind, I plan to take a gap year as I want my application to be as strong as possible when I apply. I'm just a bit confused on how it works and need some explanation on what my timeline should look like when taking this gap year. To my understanding, if I graduate May 2025, send in my application June 2026, does this mean I don't start schooling until August 2027?

Hey guys,
I've been asked by a University to conduct a theatre based workshop session on their orientation week to help get the students out of their shell and creatively engaged.
I have a couple of games and exercises in mind but what would you suggest I add to my workshop as a must do activity?
Ive been told that there will be between 60-100 students. So I'm currently wondering whether to do one big workshop or decide to divide them in half and do 2 different sessions. I would assume I need to spend at minimum - 2 hours with them in the case that I divide them. Or 3 hours if I do all together.
The students are not in a theatre program. The goal is to just get them out of their shells a little bit and get some creative engagement going.

Hi guys. I have just finished my bachelor's in electronics and communication from India. I want to work in mixed signal and motor controller design.
I currently have offers from TU Delft for their degree in Systems and Control and University of Sheffield for their degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
University of Sheffield has modules specifically on advanced signal processing and motor control. Otoh TU Delft is focused purely on control theory. I'm currently trying to choose between Sheffield and Delft. Which one should I go for?

I'm going into my first year of university next year and I'm trying to finish my course selections at the moment but I'm torn on what language I want to start taking with the goal of turning it into a minor. I want to learn French because I live in Canada and plan on working in government or the military for at least a while. But I also really want to learn Russian or Mandarin and I feel that since ill be in university I should take advantage of the high-quality language education and use it to learn one of the more complicated languages like Mandarin or Russian.
I'm a native English speaker with very limited knowledge of other languages at the moment but I would ideally like to learn as many as I can due to the nature of the work I want to go into and just for personal enjoyment. I do think that since I know English it would be much easier to learn French and Spanish without top-tier education like a university program.
I've read a few posts on here and a lot of them say to do what you love and I think I would probably love to learn Russian or Mandarin the most. Which language do you think would be the best to learn for a job like in international relations? and is it worth it to take French in university even though I might be able to learn it on my own time? I have two elective options at the moment so I could take both French and Russian or Mandarin but I'm not sure if that is even realistic to learn two wholly different languages simultaneously

I am a student currently on an F-1 visa. I graduated with an MS in Data Science in May 2023 and will be starting an MS in Statistics in August 2023. In the meanwhile, I plan to fly back to my home country for vacation.
I have all the legal documents required:

1. An F1 visa valid til July 2026
2. A valid passport till August 2026
3. A "Change in Education Level" I-20
4. Letter of Admission and Funding from the University department along with family funding documents.

I am looking for possible issues and questions I might face while re-entering the United States in August about 12 days before the start of my program.
Could you please help me with the probable situations I might face at the border?
Also, can the people who were rejected entry or re-entry on an F1 visa share their experience?
