Major pro: i JUST (as in, first day is tomorrow) started a job as an hourly supervisor, 40 hours guaranteed at $28/hr. lots of potential for OT after my training period which i think is 90 days.

I’m finding sending second class is faster than Tracked 48 lately. Tracked 48 is taking longer than 48 hours upto four days sometimes and a lot of second class is being delivered the next day surprisingly. It’s like first class service for the price of second class.

Turns out that owners wife returned the deposit to the man that paid for the room (and paid the deposit). Though the room was "officially" in ML's name, she didn't pay for the room, so she had no right to the deposit.
ML calls me back, and I tell her the news. She does not take this news well.

UB: Yes the room is in your name, but the man that was with you paid for the room, and paid the deposit, therefore it is his deposit.
ML: The guy who checked me in last night said I could get the deposit!
UB: I said no such thing.

UB: You can come up, but I do not have any deposit from YOU, therefore I will not return any money to YOU. If you think that you are entitled to the money, then you need to get in touch with the man you were with, as he has the money.

I am a CS major and wanted to try something besides coding for my second internship, which I do sort of regret, but not completely. I am doing sales which seems to have potential to make good money. The thing is, I feel like I am able to get along with people talking to them, and I know talking is a big part of sales, but I have never had a girlfriend.
I have attracted attractive women in the past, but I just made a tinder account an hour ago and I have two matches and 9 likes.
None of them will be attractive.
I feel like to be good in sales you have to be able to attract people. Does this mean I should focus on programming instead?

I just have a hard time grasping why anyone would want to be with me. Nobody is with me, and I don't blame them. I feel like the only time a guy would want to date me is if he couldn't find anyone else. There's beautiful big women, and I didn't inherit any good traits. I'm lazy, depressed and full of anxiety. I constantly compare myself to my mom and beautiful sister. Since men want them, men treat them like gold and celebrities. I have tons of stories, guys pointing, guys gawking... married men, single men and men in committed relationships act really creepy.
I do online dating, and these men don't actually want me they just tell me everything to get laid. I get invited to their house, of course I don't take up the offer. It's so unsafe. Then they come with the insults when I reject them. Not that I care, it's just the principle of it. Men, family and friends treat me differently. I once thought this man was coming up to talk to me, but he was asking me about my mom. Telling me how beautiful she was, I remember the two times a man came up to me. But it was when I was thinner. But they get that many men coming up to them every hour.
They get faster service in stores, people help them more. My sister was constantly late to work, took hour breaks and the men in the office laughed about it. She's pretty. If I were to do that, I would've been fired. People are surprised we are related. Don't get me started on my friends, that's a whole other subject of it's own. My sister modeled, if you wanted to find someone who looked like her you'd have to look in models. Not someone average. I don't know how I got the bad genes. She gets doctors, bandmates, football players. She's married to one now. He's an amazing man. I grew up being told to look a certain way otherwise men would look at me and be worried to take me on a date because I eat more and would cost more money. And it looks like I don't take care of myself. I've never had a man focus on me, he's always looking and smiling at other women. But it's something you have to deal with being obese right? Haha.
I've tried going for men around my size, but they are so judgemental or they act like they settled for a big woman cause they are big. Are men genuinely attracted to big women? Besides thinking they make up for it with their personality? Cause I haven't seen it. I've been called beautiful by men before, but it always follows up with them trying to get laid.
I see beautiful women on tik tok and men doting over them, some are married.. some are in committed relationships leaving creepy ass comments. Makes me leary to even get into a relationship, these guys girlfriends are gorgeous. I've had one bf, he would stare at other women while we were out. I don't even think he looked at me. Blamed it on his ADHD, I also have ADHD but honestly didn't give a shit about other men. I'm bad with my money, I still live at home. I'm 26 and don't have my life together. But my friends are still at home as well, it's a difficult time where everything is becoming not affordable.
It's crazy how easy life is when you are attractive. It's night and day, I get to see it when I'm with them. My mom gets noticed multiple times a day, men stare.

You ever seen posts like "no credit check, buy here pay here, owner finance, rent to own, lease to own, creative finance, seller finance, no banks, bad credit score we approve, and many more" - well so in general all of that is called SELLER FINANCING or OWNER FINANCING.
Basically my marketplaces is focusing on those seller financing deals and lets people browse and find what they looking for.

Why I built it? - shit, i could get deep into details here but whatever I simply could not qualify to buy investment property using traditional mortgage because, I've been self employed and showed little income, so no tax returns that would qualify me for loan.
Then I remembered that in Real Estate they always say "you don't need a lot of money", so I was like let me do a research about this cuz everyone says it but doesn't actually show anything, so that is when I found SELLER FINANCING STRATEGY.
I was like oh this is nice, that this strategy is actually real.
Then I stumbled onto a problem with search - I tried zillow, loopnet, realtor, and more - they have seller financing deals but I needed to search by keywords.
Then I went on facebook and found A LOT OF GROUPS, with like 50k members, I was like oh wow I hit a goldmine.
I tried to find some deals there but it's just not it you know, so many people jump on one deal, and you can't filter by states, cities, bedrooms, and so on. Then I thought oh i gotta connect with sellers so they can send me deals, it works but they forget about you.
This is when it hit me though, I went on google and typed "seller finance marketplace" and nothing.
I was like how bro?
Then me as serial entrepreneur that failed more than succeeded said "I will make this marketplace just so I could get leads."
I started to design and research more and more and I got to the point where I added Businesses & Transport to the website, because it made sense.
Then google, insta, fb started to show me targetted ads about seller financing.
Niiiiiiiice, I followed some people that mainly do seller financing such as Pace Morby and Codie Sanchez but there are much more, these 2 are the biggest influencers in seller financing, Pace buys RE and Codie buys businesses.
They also sell courses on how to buy RE or Business using seller financing, Pace Morby 10-12k and Codie 8k.
So recently I told myself that I will add educational resources to the platform so people can watch it and read it and understand how to buy or sell. I will create a community/forum where people can partner up, then we already have the marketplace where you can search for deals, then I'm adding some services such as "full concierge", "sell us your home", "help with funding", and some other things. Full concierge is when a beginner or a busy investors asks us to find something for them and we do it, we negotiate, structure the deal, and close it for the client.

1. Teams are joining “better” conferences not necessarily because it’s better for the student-athletes, but for media exposure and more money.
-USC and UCLA are joining the Big Ten. In my opinion, this makes no sense. It’s not better for the student athletes in terms of familiarity by being unable to play schools within a few hours of them by a bus ride. The athletes have to spend extra hours on a plane for all of their away games that could be spent studying or resting, and will have to play in a time zone that is at least two or three hours ahead of them while being at least 1,000 miles away from their school. Texas and Oklahoma are joining the SEC. In my opinion, it is not as outrageous as the USC & UCLA situation because the SEC schools are closer in distance to those schools, but those schools are also joining the best college football conference mostly for the money and media exposure. And more schools do want to follow in their footsteps- there are rumors that California and Arizona want to join the Big 12 from Pac-12, as well as seven ACC schools looking to cancel their media contract with ESPN, which runs through 2035-36. The Pac-12, Big 12 and ACC could likely dissolve.
2. College athletes are getting the perks of being a professional athlete through NIL (Name, Image, Likeness). This means that college athletes are now allowed to endorse products for a profit.
-The perks of being a professional athlete are earned- by proving you can compete with the best by performing at the highest level. Only 1,696 people every year can have the perks of being a professional football player- and every single one has earned it through their talent. Choosing where to attend college is a big decision that should not be taken lightly for any high school senior. When they’re presented with an opportunity to make millions at a college, they will be easily swayed by the financial distractions rather than what is best for them. High school senior football players will now choose colleges based on where they can get the most money and media attention, rather than where they can get the best education and what colleges are good for their major or career path. This is in case that dream of playing the NFL doesn’t work out. And realistically, the dream will most likely not work out, so it’s best to have a Plan B in case Plan A fails.
3. College football players are now being treated like NFL players by the NCAA. There is a HUGE difference between what's expected as a STUDENT compared to being an EMPLOYEE, since they are as different as night and day.
-Talent- The NFL is completely different than college football in almost every way- because every NFL roster consists of those in the top 0.1% of American football players on Earth, while NCAA Division 1 football consists of the top 2.9% of high school American football players. These men are between the ages of 22 and 40. In college, the men are between the ages of 18 and 23.
-Playbooks/Schemes- College playbooks are usually curated to fit the needs of their Heisman-caliber quarterback or running back. In the NFL, playbooks and schemes require a greater time studying the playbook as well as film. In the NFL, having a star quarterback or running back isn’t enough to make a team nationally recognized- there needs to be talent from all 11 players, offense, and defense. Plus, there are always new schemes being installed in playbooks- and they are usually complex, so you will most likely be doing something wrong, even when you think you know what you’re doing.
-Lifestyle- Succeeding as an NFL player requires hard work and discipline on a whole different level than a college football player. One must know going in that they are getting paid millions of dollars to perform on the field. Dieting, working out, studying the playbook, avoiding posting inappropriate things on social media, maintaining a strong attitude and work ethic, and conducting yourself both on and off the field is what determines your success at the highest level. Also, the speed of the game in NFL is much faster paced than it is in college football. These players will injure you if you are not ready. And even if you are ready, you will most likely suffer a serious injury that will affect your body for the rest of your life.
-In the NFL, there is absolutely no room for silly mistakes when you have millions of fans watching you- whether fans are sitting in the stadium or on the couch at home. Fans are counting are you to make a difference to their favorite team, and if you don’t, you are not only looked down upon to your team, but the fans as well.
4. It is ruining the tradition of college football.
-There will be a 12-team playoff system in NCAA football coming within the next few years, which sounds similar to the NFL, only the NFL has 14 team playoffs and not 12.
-For about a century, college football had bowl games instead of playoffs. Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl- these bowl games may still exist, but will not be as exciting as they may have lower-ranked teams competing while the best teams go into the playoffs. It’s also possible that these bowl games will be no more.
-We may no longer see rivalries such as USC-Stanford, UCLA-Cal Berkeley, Texas-Texas Tech, and Oklahoma-Oklahoma State, all of which have been played almost every year since the 1930’s.

So, yes I am a long time holder of lot's of shares, and many DRS'd. Also some in TFSA's and RRSP's that cannot easily be DRS'd without penalty, meaning at a loss.
Anyways I have recently bought a small amount of GME to trade and make some cash as prices fluctuate to increase my overall holdings. (yes bad I know)
So as earnings were due after market Wednesday, and price was going up, I threw a sell order way out of the money in case things got really spicy. As far as I can see looking at historical data (yahoo) they didn't with the day high being $26.55.
So how did my order get filled during regular trading hours (before 4 pm EDT) above $28?
Dark market? or Internal fill? Any ideas? I have screenshots if mods want proof.

I write this in hopes that the VA and LSGS close these loopholes, and that the diligence of verification of these sources is maintained by other veterans in addition to requesting methods to consider how to better verify VA contracted organizations. This post isn't about how efficient LSGS or any other contractor for the VA is, but rather the Information security issues that are present. Below is my experience and how I attempted to deal with this information security nightmare.
Imagine this, an unknown company contacts you asking for personal information, includes a clickable (and possibly infected) link, and has the leverage of ruining a months-long process by not quickly engaging them. Even with the diligence of attempting to confirm the credibility of this company, it has such a flimsy connection to the VA that the VA cannot immediately verify its affiliation, and calling this company's hotline results in hour-long wait times which confirm they know little more than what could have been stolen in prior events such as this exposure in 2006 which included millions of veterans.
This isn't a far cry from the VA randomly calling asking me to present my last four, date of birth and other information that might also be required to access my bank and other secured services, but at least I can call the main VA line with that person's extension or ask the VA to send a secure message to confirm the validity of their credentials via the VA messaging system.
I received a text message from an unknown number identifying themselves as Loyal Healthcare asking if I would be available for an exam regarding my claim in late April. I called the VA asking who, exactly, loyal healthcare was to the VA. It took them nearly 30 minutes to identify LSGS as a possible company contracted for my exam but refused to identify any outsourcing that they might have done. Because it directly affected my claim I had to make an immediate response declaring my willingness to engage.
Nearly two weeks later I received an email from lsgs.loyalhealthcare.com asking me to register. I called the VA again and one worker said they believed LSGS was a contractor with the VA assigned to do the exam but were unable to confirm that this was who was contacting me.
I did end up calling LSGS which I finally had a number for, but I want to note here that I am not anti-immigration. In fact, my mother was an immigrant and I am a minority, but when I called LSGS and the operator had a strong Nigerian accent, it was not a confidence-inspiring experience. If the infrastructure were more secure elsewhere in the system this wouldn't have been concerning.
I had to rely on an AP news release to confirm they even were contracted with the VA in the first place, and faith that the website, utilizing Godaddy's private registration feature (whois info), was firstly at least somewhat legitimate and second that it wasn't a doppelganger of an official source. Even after registering with the sketchy site that only includes a login portal as its landing page the information after this barrier is so sparse that it inspires zero confidence in its legitimacy.
The way that LSGS contacts, registers, and interacts with you is ripe and ready for scammers to slip their sticky fingers in between. It is a mandatory engagement in which the VA doesn't clearly declare what exact parties are engaged or how to interact with them. The registration process is obscure and the website is little more than a web portal and database call upon registration with obscured credentials. Their hotline is easily imitable as it requests more information than it will eventually provide or engage with.
Other than the VA phonebook including a contact number for LSGS, but could be easily not verified because not all veterans are going to go through the IS procedures and protocols I went through, there doesn't seem to be a good way to ensure this party is affiliated at all. And anyone who is looking to actually ensure the validity and security before establishing a relationship with LSGS will fall flat on their face.
I will be surprised if scams tied to this method of C&P contracting haven't already popped up. I'd go further to say that these scams must be thriving.
Please let me know if you found better ways to verify these kinds of contractors.

A little bit of background: I am a former civilian mariner sitting at the rank of OSV AB. I have traveled to several different countries and have spent a good chunk of time at sea and have lived a very transient lifestyle but recently I am wanting to settle down. Before that I have about 15 years of amateur computer repair experience starting in 2008 and I have been fixing PCs for my friends since. I absolutely love any type of technology and it is my dream to enter the IT field as it is my passion to help others and work with computers in a professional manner to better advance my dream career. Even a remote helpdesk job would be a dream come true for me and I relish at the oppertunity to obtain one. I do not charge others for repairing or building their PCs as I love doing it and I have built up a reputation for myself as the go to guy for tech. I also have soundboard ops experience DJing for local events since 2014 and am curently employed as a soundboard operator at a local radio station.
Recently I was employed as a civilian Mariner aboard a corporate fleet in the Gulf of Mexico and the Carribean but I left that behind about a year ago to go back to college to get an IT associate's degree. I estimate I have sent about somewhere around 571 applications and have only gotten one phone call back which I believe to be a scam because they never scheduled the phone interview they promised and have ignored my followup email.
I live in a very remote, rural ,and isolated coastal community in the deep southern US If that matters. As a matter of fact ,we are an island connected to a wetland by a canal bridge. There aren't a lot of IT options here and the main industries here are Seafood and Maritime work so getting hired by reference is out if the question as almost nobody here works in IT. There is one guy at the radio station that does and he took my resume but it's been 2 months. Is this typical for this field? He's always stressed and swamped with work so I don't know why they just wouldn't hire an extra guy to help out. I'd rather not go back to the boats but I will if I have to because right now I'm only making 7.25 an hour for my efforts in the studio and it's honestly really quite depressing and starting to physically affect my health. Should I just keep going on or should I go back out to sea? I'd make lots more money but I really have my heart set on IT.

I’m in product and have sold my soul to corporate tech America the last 8 years.
I’ve been afraid to build something on my own but given the insane wave of hate hitting the LGBTQ community I am now confident if I don’t do SOMETHING then I’ll never forgive myself.
I have a strong idea for an app. I know how to build the tech but I need to hire someone in design to help me with some assets for a pitch deck/kickstarter. I have money to help get that off the ground but will need to raise money to get enough for the app build.
High level idea (and I don’t care if you try to run with it because I want SOMEONE to build it even if it’s not me) is an app that easily coordinates our buying behaviors to prevent a penny being spent at any place that funds hate.
There’s a lot of tech to figure out how to alert you that you’re at a place of hate and also identify places you’ve purchased from. There’s been sort of apps to try to do this but are not executing it the way or targeting it the way I know I can.
We have seen when bigots organize against LGBTQ it’s effective. We need to be the organized majority and I have a vision on how we can do that.
I’m not looking for charity. I have money to pay for this initial set of mock ups and assets (I think I need to see what people charge for this because I’ve never paid for this in my own I’ve always hired headcount at some company.)
