To start, I'm in NY. My child has had a horrible year of KINDERGARTEN. Yes, kindergarten. First few weeks of school,my son was getting punched by one particular student, kicked, cursed at and bullied. I advocated to no end, constant calls to the principal, the nurse, attempts at communication with the teacher to no avail. Generally he'd be deemed a liar essentially, or they'd claim "the cameras didn't catch it" or no staff member witnessed it. 2 DASA forms later, both determined unfounded, a handful of meetings with staff, calls to the superintendent's office and a mass amount of confusion,poor communication - they treated my son like a head case for being triggered by these same 3-4 students that continued to harass him through out the year. I've kept him home on some occasions until they'd come up with a new plan or resolution and he'd return and we'd see what happens only to have the process repeat and continue. By the end of January, they FINALLY removed the primary instigator from his class after charging across the classroom to slap my child across the face (this happened TWICE the same exact way only a week apart from each other). By this point, ky child had some mild aggression towards said students but the school took this as a point to send my son into the psychologist's office, the social worker, principal here there every where, every day without telling me. When I found out the severity, I threw a fit. Finally got someone from superintendent's office to call me back, she heard me out and seemed to take my case seriously. She arranged a meeting immediately. She scolded all staff members present for their poor communication and made clear of what was expected. Changes were directed to be made. I felt confident that maybe they'd finally do right by my child to give the safe, positive environment and education they deserve. Things seemed to improve, my child had more positive things to say about school (as they refused to talk about it for the whole year because they never wanted to even go). About a month or so after this meeting, brings us to about a week ago, my child discloses to me they are still going to the psychologist's several times a day every day and this conversation was prompted by a very invasive phone call from this "doctor" questioning my personal life. My child said she had been probing them about personal information too. Because of the excessive nature of these "earned breaks" out of class as my child's "reward" for good behavior, I called the superintendent to inform her that the staff had not followed her direction for the new plan. She lashes out at me and is wildly inappropriate with me. At this point, I write a letter via email to the principal (who I literally speak to at least 2 times a week this ENTIRE year since noone else communicates with me or calls me back), I inform him to discontinue all intersctions, sessions, groups etc with this woman (also worth noting, no my child has no diagnoses, no BIP, no IEP, no official mental disorders or disabilities as per the pediatrician and an evaluation by a licensed therapist as per the psychologist's recommendation-which i knew was bs but to appease and do the right thing, I had it done anyway). My child comes home that day and he didn't get sent to her office, they sent HER to my child's class to sit with them???!!!? At this point, I'm livid and have lost all patience and am now deficit in trust with these people. My child goes to school the next day, as I try to figure out what to do, calling education lawyers left and right with no success.
Here's where it goes from horrible to absolutely insanely ridiculously terrifying. I notice a small bruise on my child's outer forearm. I ask about it, they tell me the teacher grabbed their arm too hard "squeezed" like this my child gripped with white knuckles and teeth gritting. I'm horrified. Livid. Can't wrap my head around it but honestly in my heart, not entirely surprised.. this sad excuse for a teacher has been dismissive, neglectful, refuses to take accountability or responsibility, passive aggressive and nasty attitude anytime she had to dare waste her time talking to me, which has been one of the largest issues this year. This woman does not tell me what's happening ever. And always addressing literally any single issue with my child. For example, my child saying "butt" was deemed inappropriate language from her on a daily sheet report and only once i called and demanded what she was referring she said such language was "butt" ... Give me a break. She sends my child out to these other staff members whenever she doesn't want to deal seemingly because of my complaints about her poor practices. NOW, once my child tells me this, we go to the precinct to get it at least reported and documented and first thing the next morning, we go to the pediatrician. She documented as well and had to hear my child's account of what happened which she also documented. I took pictures the night of, the next morning and in the doctor's office. I kept my child home, of course and the principal contacts me. I tell him what I had been told from my child, and he says he'll address the teacher about it. She blatantly denies it. My child said they said "ow" to which she said "sorry" so she acknowledged she hurt them, and never informed me. Within 24 hours of my reporting her injuring my child, CPS knocks on my door with a wild accusation against me in hand. I explain to the investigator what has transpired and showed my child's arm, she documented that and with all the information I gave her and the things she confirmed with me, it became quite obvious the school made this allegation. She acknowledged that the more info she was getting from me, the more the picture was becoming clear of what was going on. I continue to tey to contact an education lawyer but I don't know what to do. None will call me back although the one that did I absolutely can not afford $5k retainer and $500/hr. Does anyone have any advice of what I can do or any resources? I've been collecting documents and also have yet to get my child's records which they also have refused to give me. I have a formal letter written for these records now that I'm submitting Monday. I have dates of incidents roughly not all of them, I have some phone calls recorded, held on to hand written noted given by the teacher, etc. Any advice would be absolutely appreciated!! The merge is a really cool concept! I think it’s a creative way to keep the series fresh and interesting, but the more I’ve thought about it, the more I realize that there are some pretty wild implications that the merge points toward.
So most people know that the departed realm is basically the “afterlife” of Ninjago, where people go where they die. All the deceased people in the departed realm are part of the wider world after the merge, and now essentially existing among the living. When you think about this, no one can really die. Once someone’s physical body passes away, they can just come back as a ghost and be a part of the world without any consequences.
Moving on, if the underworld is also merged, then anyone who has ever been banished there is just free to leave and wander the rest of the world. This would also apply to the cursed realm if it hadn’t been destroyed.
If feel like the merge could really mess with the logistics of the world. Is anyone else bothered by this weird little concept? I’m sure they’re going to explore this to some degree in the future of Dragons Rising, but I think it’s sort of a tricky situation to write yourself out of. I hope the writers have a good explanation for how things like the afterlife work post-merge.

I know Porygon is a pretty rare Pokemon, but back when it had a community day a few years ago, I snagged a bunch of their shinies. My long term goal is to complete a Pogo stamp shiny dex. I have hundreds of shinies (from Pokemon Go and main line games all caught by me), but not much in the mythical or legendary department. This is going to be such an odd request. But I have a video idea in mind and I need Lanathir of the Wild's voicelines from the mouth of mordremoth boss fight. Let me give you some context behind this whole thing. One day I was listening to the heart of thorns battle themes and I ended up on the mouth of mordremoth boss theme.
And an utter gem of a comment was waiting for me in the YouTube comments section. The person basically said "Lol can you imagine Lanarthir using this track as a backing theme while he spits bars and raps about defeating mordremoth to give the players instructions."
I thought this was a brilliant idea. So I searched for his voice lines in my web browser and on YouTube. I found nothing. I thought it was no big deal since I could just go and do dragon stand myself and record the lines. And then I figured out thats impossible.
People, we have gotten so powerful over the years, that deadeyes renagades and harbingers obliterated the mouth of mordremoth in one go.
He was down in 1 phase and I didn't get to record a single voiceline. I wasn't salty btw. This was actually really funny to witness. Especially the player who screamed "ONE BURN BABY! LETS GOOOOOO!!" In all caps.
But I'm fresh out of luck when it comes to recording the lines myself. And I'm not sure I can manage to get a full dedicated group who not only needs to be able to beat dragonstand in the time limit, so we can face the mouth.. BUT ALSO needs to gimp themselves juuust enough, so that we can draw the fight out and hear all of the voice lines.
I debated asking if people could kill the boss slower in map chat. But lets be honest, if I came across someone asking to kill the mouth of mordremoth slower, my reaction would be "That is the oddest line I've heard from a twitch streamer ever.." Then I would go back to nuking mordy.
So yeah. If anyone has the voice lines as a MP3 a .wav file format or a link to a YouTube archive that has them, please send me there. I'm out of ideas for getting them myself at this point.

A lot of what I'm typing is likely influenced by nostalgia, and it's also more of a rant that's been on my mind for the past few minutes. When you're born around the time of a video game's release, and you have older siblings who play it in front of you, I imagine it's really hard to separate those good memories from honest criticism. From my childish confusion about the main character not being named Zelda to the terrifying ReDeads and Dead Hands to the not-so-secret story progression of becoming a brave adult, Ocarina of Time has simultaneously given me the warm fuzzy feels and also scarred me.
I just went through the Ocarina of Time soundtrack - which also includes shorter tunes like "Open Treasure Box" and "Item Catch". I was looking for specific songs to put in a "Mysterious" music playlist to help me concentrate on writing - specifically my Legend of Zelda fanfic, ha. Somber, calming video game music, with all its minimalism and repeating themes, is like Adderall to my brain. No lyrics, no same rhythm between each song, and unless it's a high-energy tune, nothing that'll make me dance. I'll still hum along if I can.
Going through the list of songs on a Youtube playlist, it's mostly in chronological order. I picked out the ones that sounded the most like crawling through a dark, somewhat scary cave or at least had the "dread but chill" vibe. Skip the first two, "Deku Tree," skip to "Inside the Deku Tree," twenty-three songs later, we're at "Dodongo's Cavern," and then to "Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly." Cool - most of these are dungeons, which makes sense. I got further down the list, and with the exception of the ocarina songs, there are not many upbeat songs to skip. Granted, in the game, you still have to go to some places with peppy music, like the Gerudo Valley or the windmill. The fact I always come back to when I listen to the soundtrack, and, relating back to the "progression to adult life," there are a lot more challenges (dungeons) as Adult Link.
I'm not much of a theory video person in general - I won't seek out several different theories about something I like, but I do like learning new things about a story that I may have originally missed. It's why I'll go back and play games over and over, no matter how much they might have been difficult to beat. I once watched a video - which I'm sure so many of you are familiar with since it has over 2.8 million views - about the subtext of Ocarina of Time and why it is the saddest Zelda game. That video describes so much of what was part of the story that I could never have consciously realized, and partially why it affected me to the extent that it did (the other part being that I grew up with that game). I won't spoil it here since it's a fantastic analysis that's about thirty minutes long, but I'll put a link below for those who are curious. It's called "OCARINA OF TIME - A Masterclass In Subtext."
Going back to the playlist, it was easy enough to get distracted by the masterful, big-bad organist playing his own theme. But then I listened to "Final Battle Against Ganon." This is definitely where the nostalgia kicks in. What I haven't felt so much in other games, but mostly Breath of the Wild (don't get on me about Tears of the Kingdom, I haven't played it), is the impending sense of doom when going through the last dungeon to face The Big Bad Guy, and then facing a different, more terrifying version of said Bad Guy. I love the darkness of the final fight - how I could only see Ganon's face when the sky flashed with lightning, how the battlefield is littered with debris, surrounded by fire, even how the music emulates a choir singing - not with loud and bright high notes, but low, almost mournful tones.
A lot of what I've said relates to the music itself. I suppose music has a way of triggering that nostalgia - the way I felt while playing those scenes, certainly. The story, while maybe not immediately obvious to a child, has more to it than just a hero saving the world. You lost before you had the chance to face the evil head-on, but you have friends from childhood to adulthood helping you defeat this evil in the ways only they could. You are not alone, even if it feels like it.
I love The Legend of Zelda series. I will play any story that relates to a fantasy hero saving the day. But Ocarina of Time will, for me, stand above the others.

I've been a customer for probably 3 years. I have enjoyed a lot of their products -- mostly hair and skin care, some cleaning. The vitamins and supplements are pure shit (I'm an athlete and the claims alone are fucking wild). Anyway, with inflation they changed their shipping cost and policies. The shipping is completely ridiculous now.
My credit card was compromised so I had to cancel it about a month ago. Around the time I got the new card it was time for my monthly order. I tried to put my new card in and it just loaded forever and timed out several times. So I gave up and just kinda decided to see what would happen. I kinda just wanted to be done with it since it's become expensive and I want to try different products. I thought the situation would work itself out. Many people have said that instead of going through all the trouble of canceling...since it's a pain in the ass...to just cancel your card for call you credit card company to do a charge back.
Wellllll...these fuckers decided to send me a back up order and tell me that I owe them money. I tracked the package and for days it just said the label was created so I thought maybe they were waiting for me to call. Now the shipment is in transit. I really don't feel like dealing with these people and their shtick. Can they do this? Can I refuse/return the package? It just seems so predatory that it makes me want to be petty. Never dreamed they'd go to this length.
