How can I buy this bundle.... Its seems to have disappeared from the store. I want to play a war simulator, which includes exploding heads, gratuitous violence, a system that rewards the player for going on "Kill streaks" and endless "execution models" dressed as a spartan. Good evening all. I'll soon be beginning an undergraduate degree in planetary science after pursuing mathematics, computer science and geology at A-Level. I'd be very content with a career in earth/planetary science but I am curious if I have the option to branch out into the entirety of the astronomical field.
Naturally, planetary science will have some elements of astronomy but mainly relegated to terrestrial planets and the solar system. Despite my lack of a physics background beyond high school, I believe my mathematics and computer science studies will still be useful. I assume the degree itself will involve a significant study in physics regardless. Of course I can pursue a lot of self-studying by books, lectures, etc. but it depends if these are considered by universities.
I used to have a pretty large interest in space as a child and it would be quite nice to see if it could come to fruition. With this sort of degree not being offered by many universities there is not too much information online on how graduates proceed. This is overall just a hypothetical to weigh up my options before starting the degree and see if it would be possible to broaden my career prospects. If not, no problem and thanks for the advice.

Let's get something absolutely 100% clear... The team at Dorman, whether it's Ed, the secretaries, or anybody else DO NOT work for you. They work for me and the rest of the board. If you have a problem with how things are being handled in the community you will be respectful in dealing with anybody you communicate with. They will convey your concerns to me and the rest of the board and we will handle it.
If you have concerns about how things are currently being handled you should have joined the board during the countless position requests over the past 5-6 years. If you had you would have been aware of just how poorly the boards were handling the finances and concerns of the community. I called into my first meeting in May, and by August the existing board members quit.
To enlighten you a bit since you didn't seem to care about even calling into a board meeting, let me fill you in, Cliff's Notes style... Those annual raises each year we've been having, yeah, those simply offset the costs of doing business. They did nothing to plus up the savings account needed to fund all the various things the HOA is responsible for. So anytime they spent money on tree replacments, sprinkler system upgrades, road crack repair, and multiple iterations of speed bumps, anything; all of that was out of savings without any money going back in. So yeah, this years raise was more than usual becuase the savings is currently at about 25% of what it should be to cover our obligations (based on a Reserve Study that was performed in March).
For the snow specifically since that's your concern - When the landscaper came out the first time at the end of December, when the snow was 2" deep and plowed/shoveled, $1700. When they came out earlier this month when the snow was drifted 2" in spots and little to none in other spots, $1000. So yes, to try to save money we've changed their thresholds and how they will perform the work. Don't expect to see them until it's 3". They will then come out and plow with the truck and clear the sidewalks with an ATV and salt the common areas like the mailboxes and sidewalk ramps at the intersections. If the 3/4" we recieved this morning is too much for you I'd suggest you sell the house and move to AZ.
There have been a ton of things that the previous boards were neglecting, like the lawns and weeds. We've had 2 landscape companies quit over the past 4 years becuse of the boards or other factors. This year we are starting with a 3rd. It's my intention with the new landscaper to try to resolve those things when the weather turns in the spring. What you're about to read is largely unverified. But that doesn't mean it's not true. It's the type of UFO information that would typically be deeply buried, then carefully studied and compartmentalized by a small faction within the intelligence community, as suits any sensitive black operation. As such, straightforward corroboration is difficult at best. But UFO Magazine has the advantage of more than a decade's worth of collected bits of information and broad-based facts on which to construct some fair extrapolations. Drawn from a range of sources, the following incident reflects upon one of the blackest of American covert operations that deal directly with the UFO phenomenon.
Recruitment and Background
They recruited him when he was fresh from a not-too-harrowing assignment in the Middle East. This was one area of the globe, at least, where the CIA had little trouble justifying its existence. Having some military background, Sedge Masters wasn't too surprised when he was called back for another briefing about the new foreign technology assignment overseen from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. What he'd heard at the first briefing didn't exactly fire his professional instincts. The task sounded less than challenging. He was assured that more information would be coming his way, and that much of it would change his mind about the degree of intrigue his new assignment would hold.
Induction into the Program
Clearances intact, Masters arrived on the base in short order. He was issued a security badge and escorted by an airman to an unmarked building. Once inside, he was escorted by the airman into a room where his security badge was taken from him and a different one given to him in its place. A different airman with a uniform that Masters had not seen before, armed with an M-16 and a sidearm, escorted him into a private room. That man left, and in less than two minutes, another armed and uniformed man entered. He said nothing: Masters was used to this routine. When the soldier had positioned himself in front of the door, Masters turned around to a table on which lay a thick packet of papers. One more glance at the impassive soldier, and Masters began to read.
Introduction Letter
The letter on top carried a number on the first page, but no date or letterhead. "Dear Mr. Masters," it began, "Consider this a deeper introduction to your present assignment. As you were told in last week's special briefing, you were selected for the program less for your wide intelligence background and technical skills than for the results of your psychological profile, both the one you took when you first joined the agency and the one administered earlier this year..."
Pre-WWII Sightings and Post-War Investigations
During the years preceding World War II, informal contacts made by Americans touring in Europe - tasked to do so by then-attorney William Donovan (who was later the head of the OSS in World War II) - revealed that there had been a number of sightings of unusual aerial phenomena and craft over European skies, particularly in the vicinity of German military facilities. The rush of events focused the attention of the military and the OSS on other matters of more pressing concern, although it had been resolved to look into these reports again at the war's conclusion.
The Roswell Incident
Before there could be a full assessment of the implications of these events, in July 1947, two crafts were recovered from the desert near the Roswell Army Air Corps bomber base. One of the crafts was a deltoid wing "lifting body" which had suffered a rupture to the crew compartment and some impact distortion, but which was otherwise intact. The other craft had completely disintegrated either before or upon impact.
Hypotheses and Discoveries
Although there were working hypotheses that these crafts were either (1) secret Soviet surveillance craft designed to spy upon the many advanced technical and military facilities in that region, (2) crafts from some "other dimension" the details of which were and remain unspecified by the proponents of this hypothesis, or (3) crafts from our own future exploring the past through an unknown temporal travel mechanism, it soon became clear that these crafts were from some planet or solar system other than our own, as they were occupied by two kinds of beings which clearly were not of earthly origin.
Extraterrestrial Evidence
The occupants of the deltoid craft were largely intact after the crash. When the special recovery team established for this purpose located the crash, two of the occupants of the deltoid craft were still alive, although one was badly injured and would later die upon being taken to the Roswell Air Corps base. The other survivor was alive and remained so for almost 30 days after the crash. It was able to walk and seemed to understand that it was a captive among intelligent beings like itself. All efforts at communication with the survivor were inconclusive and largely unsuccessful. The three other occupants were dead when the recovery team found them. The general appearance of these creatures was as reported in the recently published, somewhat fanciful 'investigative' books on the subject which have received a certain amount of popular acceptance and which resulted in the recent 50th-anniversary celebration of this event. (Popular attention to this event remains strong.)
Second Craft and Biological Robots
The occupants of the second craft were not found for several more days, as their bodies had been ejected in what appeared to be safety pods similar in purpose to those later employed in such high-performance aircraft as the B-58 Hustler and XB-70 supersonic bombers. These creatures were longer in dimension than the ones of the deltoid craft, and their bodies were dispersed over a much wider area due to the disintegration of their craft. All were dead when found, with their bodies much deteriorated from prolonged exposure to the elements and some having been partially eaten by coyotes and other creatures, all of the latter of which were found dead near the alien corpses.
Analysis of the animal remains and the alien bodies led to the conclusion that the animals died from poisoning caused by ingestion of chemicals in the alien flesh. It appeared that the second group of aliens could not survive if exposed to the Earth's atmosphere. The need to remove all evidence of the event from the two crash sites limited the amount of crash reconstruction which could be accomplished by the recovery team, with the consequence that it has never been made clear what exactly caused the crash.
Cover-Up and Suppression
Unfortunately, the large number of civilian and military personnel who witnessed physical evidence at the crash sites and back at the Roswell base created a significant security hazard which was dealt with by intimidation and bribery of the witnesses to the extent that those means proved effective. Until unofficial investigators, journalists, writers, and others began renewing investigation of the subject in the early 1980s, these techniques were largely successful in keeping the truth of the Roswell event from the public, as well as its ominous implications.
Alien Autopsies and 'Biological Robots'
The autopsies on the bodies of the creatures showed that they were of very light build and clearly not from this planet. The simplicity of their brain structures and non-communication in the face of stalwart efforts by researchers led investigators at the time to conclude that they were not the original designers and builders of the craft involved in the incident. Rather, it seemed that they were 'biological robots,' designed and bred for the purpose of undertaking such dangerous missions as flying through the atmosphere of an alien world. The survivor finally died when its body accumulated toxic waste products from its metabolism. There were no apparent excretory system or sexual organs. Consistent with this 'biological robot' hypothesis was the complete absence of any galley or food stores aboard the craft. Of course, the possibility of there being a 'mother ship' from which these craft came was also considered, as was the less likely possibility that these small craft could themselves attain transluminal speeds.
The Alien Technology
The propulsion system of the craft, of obvious priority interest to our group, was indeterminate for long after its recovery. While still subject to the laws of physics (as we imperfectly understand them), the craft's workings went far beyond our technological grasp at that time. Unfamiliar, nearly magical technology was displayed, devices that we now know as integrated circuits, fiber optics, supertenuous fibers and metals, and an unfathomable power source and drive mechanism, as well as other technology which it is not necessary to discuss in this document.
Implications and The Zodiac
The military implications of the presence of these craft in our atmosphere and the possibility that they may have established friendly communications with our Cold War enemies were obvious and unsettling. The discovery of these craft led to an equally unsettling reexamination of the European intelligence reports referred to above, as well as the postwar investigation by Gen. Jimmy Doolittle of the "ghost rockets" of Norway (see appendix C, attached, top secret report of Gen. James Doolittle). The President was made aware of these developments and ordered the formation of a special group of prominent scientists, Cabinet, military and intelligence officers.
The popular literature bandies about the name of "Majestic 12" or "MJ-12" for this special, secret task force formed by the President. Other names by which it has been identified in the public mind through disinformation programs are "Project Saucer" and "Aquarius." While it is possible that any one or more of these was the name of the group at one time, for most of its existence the code name for the group and the extensive program which it spawned has been and still is "Zodiac," with each of its operational subdivisions known by the name of a different zodiacal sign, including Aquarius.
The Decline of Government Involvement in Zodiac
As the years passed, the operational involvement of high government officials in Zodiac waned to a certain degree, especially with the conclusion of the Eisenhower Administration, although most presidents were still kept informed of key overview facts as they came to light. However, it fell to the Agency's supervisors of Zodiac to determine who else in the government should have access to this very closely-held and highly compartmentalized information, to the point that, like the heads of military intelligence before World War II, they sometimes decided not to share information with certain presidents, including Nixon and Ford.

Agency Control and Alien Craft Recovery

I've never been more tired and beyond frustrated! For the past hour, I've rephrased and rephrased again! The AI gives me something I don't want or will deny me or think the image/description is NSFW. It will block the image through their filters. It tells me that trying to circumvent the filter violates their crumby community content guidelines but I don't see a way to. THREE WORDS "APPEAL IMAGE BUTTON!"
There is absolutely nothing wrong with an adult woman consoling a boy "NON-SEXUALLY" I might add. She's being motherly in the image and both are original characters for a story. Dear Redditors,
I wanted to share a frustrating issue I've been facing with my Windows operating system and the spell checker on my Windows 10 TODOIST app. While I have set the language of the rest of my system to English, my TODOIST stubbornly sticks to the inherited English language, making it impossible to use the spell check for Spanish words.
It's quite annoying when you're trying to stay organized and productive in your native language, but the spell checker keeps flagging every Spanish word as incorrect. Despite all my efforts to change the language settings, the TODOIST app insists on inheriting the operating system language.
I've explored various settings within the app and on my Windows system, but I haven't found a satisfactory solution yet. It seems that the spell checker in the TODOIST is directly tied to the operating system's language, limiting its functionality and usability for non-English speakers, could this be an Electron Platform Thingy?

I am proud to announce, after a year in development, the creation of the Thaumcraft Neverhood Community and its associated modpack/server. Not a day has gone by in the panoply of subreddits and many modding communities without sorrow over the passing of Thaumcraft's time. Gone are the days of public and permanent dedicated Thaumcraft servers, spent are those hidden communities, drowned are the decrepit servers and ruins are all that remain of such a golden age of Minecraft modding.
Until now.
It has been *quite* some time since a dedicated public Thaumcraft server has lifted its flag, and it is with incredible pride that I announce its resurgence. Enter: The Thaumcraft Neverhood.
You see, Thaumcraft's creator, Azanor, spent years recreating over and over Thaumcraft's wonderful system and engine, and while the particulars changed with each version, the essentials remained the same; Essentia, Marvels, Madness. Being the ultimate magic mod with no easy competition and with a depth to chew on for years alone, Thaumcraft nurtured an addon scene of quality content and magnificently crafted environments that inspired people for decades. But Minecraft changed, over and over, and with each version, Azanor had to work harder and harder, rebuilding from the ground up ad nauseum until finally it was too much, leaving his latest version, Thaumcraft 6, unfinished and lacking in his previous creations. It would then sit there, forever untouched as Azanor retreated to his own personal demiplane. Other teams have attempted to pick up the reigns with his permission, but developer hell, small crafting budgets, and other issues have kept those groups and completion of the translation in limbo for years. Even then, it would be merely recreating an unfinished version, devoid of the fullness of the experience (though I have nothing but respect for those brave communities and modders that try).
Therefore, being a general consensus of multiple communities of the fullness and total content/inclusion/addon-scene, this modpack aims to be the **perfect** Thaumcraft experience, within the 1.7.10 version ruleset of Thaumcraft 4. Accompanying Thaumcraft and a number of the highest quality works-together addon mods, are additional dimensions, each selected for excellence and thoroughness of development, a perfect time machine to that era. For such a magnificent magical system deserves an equally magnificent set of places to explore and things to do, no?
What I have here is the alpha for such a magnificent endeavor, painfully coded and blood spilt to ensure compatibility with everything. Well, most everything. I need a team of alpha testers to break this mod over its knees. Crash it, break it, boil it. Fill the Aether with seas of flux, create a calculator using only golems, see how many ender pearls a rift wand can store before it explodes. In short, I need tests, experimentation, and feedback, SO much delightful feedback. I've gone as far as I can with 1 person, and before I go public with a stable launch of a forever server, I need to anneal it to the public's inspection as I'm aiming for perfection here, not "merely good enough to load."

Somewhat recently I posted about how I was integrating my animus without even realizing it by using Maynard James Keenan as a role model and consciously trying to be like him in my own way. A few days ago I was talking about this with a good friend and they said something that made me think back onto my own life and realized I’ve been integrating my animus my entire life, not just these last 4 years.
This friend had some developmental stunting from both trauma and fame in early adulthood ( and who will remain completely anonymous for obvious reasons and yes consent was given for me to post this). For most of their adulthood they have been in a state of anima possession and everything that that entails. Always attracted to a certain type of partner: basically women who embody all the classic modern beauty standards, who dumb themselves down to not intimidate men, and who mainly have Cinderella complexes looking for a partner to basically care for them and save them.
If you know anything about tarot archetypes, this person has been having quite the tower (the crumbling of one’s foundation and toppling of belief systems and/or identity) experience lately and I helped him realize he had already integrated these traits and played them out by discussing Jungian theory over the years as the tower in his life fell. Once he understood what he was doing and why, the complex and anima possession no longer had nearly as quite the hold on his mind and soul. Then he said something that blew me away: that as he matures, he now views me as his anima as he would like to be more like me but in his own ways; a striking contrast against everything I knew of him for our entire relationship.
I never thought of the anima/animus as something malleable before but as I thought back I realized I was doing the same as I moved to different stages of development.
I want to spare you my life story, but let’s just say that as a teenager I had very overbearing and helicoptery parents. If you look at Erikson’s stages of human development, teenagers are usually tasked with the task of identity vs role confusion. In order to complete said task one must start exploring the world around them and break free of their family identity. This is usually where hormones come in and we discover love interests. However, I was denied this and stuck in the previous stage. I’ve been told that ladies never reveal their age, but let’s just say I was a teenager in the late 90’s. My animus back then was basically the archetype of teenage heart throbs (JTT, Taylor Hanson, Nick Carter, Justin, all those guys lol). Some of the traits I integrated back then were a desire for “cuteness”, fashion senses, flirtatiousness, ditziness, and a type of Cinderella complex of my own.
As I moved onto university campus and was allowed to explore the world around me, my romantic interests grew to be attracted to the whole rock star archetype and Jim Morrison was the embodiment of my animus. I began partying, my taste in music changed, my fashion changed, I developed a female version of a a Don Juan complex and became promiscuous, became more narcissistic, and I became more self centered as I dove into the depths of a heroin addiction.
When I finally had a solidified sense of my identity and no longer in role confusion, I moved into the next stage of Development: Erikson’s stage of intimacy vs isolation. My taste in men changed again and this time the archetype of my affection was along the lines of drunken romantic/indie poet folk singer and guys like Connor Oberst and Elliot Smith became the embodiment of my animus. I continued to do heroin but to numb not party, my taste in music and art changed, my fashion sense changed, I became overly focused in expression of emotions, and became more artistic, among other traits. I stayed in this young adult stage until well into my 30’s as a late bloomer.
In my mid 30’s I finally found maturity and moved into the middle adult stage generativity vs stagnation after a tower experience of my own. This is when I found Tool and decided that out of everyone on this planet, I wanted to be more like Maynard in terms of values, views, beliefs, walking the walk not just talking the talk, integrity, and respect.
Maybe something has been written about this before, but I was wondering if anyone has had similar experiences throughout their lifespan development? Someone commented on my other post that integration happen regardless of consciously doing individuation and that is so so true. It’s going to happen if we want it or not.

Tears of the Kingdom added a coordinate system to the map, allowing us to measure the world of Hyrule with actual numbers in a way we couldn't in Breath of the Wild. This data is not exhaustive, so take everything with a grain of salt, but I pulled all my values direct from the map screen in the game. I tagged this as a Spoiler because I will be talking a bit about the final area of the game as well as an area you you visit during the Rito Village questline. You're safe otherwise.
First, a few givens: - As far as I can tell, Vertical Units (VU) and Horizontal Units (HU) are not equal to one another, and are in fact based on the amount of space Link occupies. So one VU is about Link's height, and one HU is about one pace of Link moving at his normal speed. Use your favorite Link height and multiply it by the VU for the real-life equivalent measurement. - 0 VU is Sea Level, just like real life.
The highest point on the surface of Hyrule, perhaps unsurprisingly, seems to be the summit of Death Mountain, measuring at 896 VU. The actual sign marking the summit is on the southwest promontory of the rim at 890 VU. The northwest, northeast, and southeast promontories are all the exact same height, and in fact the tops of them appear to all share the same model if you look at them on the map. Only the southwest one is different, perhaps because they put the sign there.
The lowest point on the surface of Hyrule that I was able to find was a stretch of Tanagar Canyon below the Tebantha Great Bridge, which came in at -99 VU. I didn't explore a lot in here because it's a pain to traverse the canyon, so this is the one I'm least confident in.
The highest point in all of Hyrule is the stone archway at the top of Valor Island in the sky above Mt. Lanayru, at 2630 VU. It takes around 40 seconds in real time at a full swan dive to get from the arch to the ocean below.
The lowest point in all of Hyrule is Gloom's Origin, at -2472 VU. If you want to be super technical, it's probably -2473 or -2474, because I didn't want to replay the entire army sequence to get into Gloom's Origin proper to take measurements. I know it can't descend much past that though.
Now for what I really wanted this data for: just how much verticality is there in the game's big climb, the Wind Temple Approach, and the big drop, from Hyrule Castle Chasm to Ganondorf.
The apex of the Wind Temple climbing sequence is actually above the Stormwind Ark itself, with that epic bounce above the blizzard and into the eye of the storm. I measured the top of that jump at 2288 VU. Now, the Rising Islands start at the top of Hebra Peak (738 VU), but the climb starts when Tulin joins you on a platform further down the slope (540 VU). So to reach the Wind Temple Link ascends a total of 1748 VU.
For the descent, I chose the spot along the rim of Hyrule Castle Chasm nearest to the First Gatehouse, where Link went early on into his search for Zelda. That sits at 107 VU, so the total distance Link travels below Hyrule is a dizzying 2578 VU. For reference, if we assume Link is 5'2, that would be the equivalent of climbing Mt. Everest about 45% of the way from bottom to top - more than 2 miles!
Anyway, I hope this was in some way interesting to you.

TLDR: what if the The Flintstones and The Jetsons exist in the same world at the same time, but separated not by time, but rather a caste system that similar in nature to Brave New World. I've had this notion since I read Brave New World when I was 11 and ChatGPT has helped me flush out the idea, anyone who wishes to expand upon this is welcome.
The Flintstones and The Jetsons exist in the same world, with The Flintstones representing a lower caste living in a reservation-like environment while The Jetsons represent a higher caste living in a technologically advanced society: 1. Socioeconomic Divide: In both The Flintstones and The Jetsons, there is a clear socioeconomic divide. The Flintstones depict a primitive Stone Age society where the characters live in modest stone houses and rely on animals for technology. On the other hand, The Jetsons portray a futuristic world where the characters reside in elaborate skyscrapers and enjoy advanced technology. This stark contrast in living conditions suggests a significant disparity between the two groups. 2. Limited Mobility: The Flintstones are depicted as being geographically confined to the Stone Age setting, often referred to as Bedrock. Similarly, The Flintstones' society resembles a lower caste living in a simpler, less technologically advanced state, while The Jetsons represent a higher caste enjoying the benefits of futuristic advancements. This parallel suggests that both shows explore the concept of caste systems, albeit in a less explicitly dystopian manner than in Brave New World.
