Sure there is. When the US backed nazi regime is committing atrocities against your people attacking is a perfectly legitimate option and at that time the only one. To Preface, I am a PharmD I generally do my due diligence. I practice in community pharmacy and often see wildly inappropriate prescribing and treatment by the likes of np/pa/etc but it still upsets when that is all my family can see and they are mismanaged...a few weeks ago we had a destination wedding around the gulf coast and most of my family resides in the mid west. 3-4 days into the travel many of us were afflicted by you common pressure changes and "foreign" allergens...well we all went home and ended up with varying degrees of sinusitis. For many of us it was obviously self limiting. My mother decided to see her "pcp" who decided she needed a zpak and medrol dose pack...a week later she presented to her local urgent care....was diagnosed with sinusitis and orbital cellulitis....she was given pred (she's on tremfya for derm conditions), pse, benzonatate and DOXY...I asked her why she was put on doxy for the conditions and not augmentin and all she could say was the NP she saw was young...there was zero explanation and didn't want her to call me during the differential and diagnosis....but why on earth would you not just use Augmentin IF you thought there was orbital cellulitis and instead choose doxy?....why are these mid levels masquerading around just googling conditions and failing...maybe I'm wrong from the start but I feel like a more effective course of treatment was available....but maybe the diagnosis was wrong...all I know is my mother was freaked out, offered no explanation and declined the ability to "phone a friend"....she will likely be fine, the orbital cellulitis is likely not as diagnosed and she probably does just have an untreated sinus infection,...but still.

I used to live in Carrboro back in 2012-2013ish while my wife was in grad school at UNC and I loved it. We could walk/ride everywhere and there were fun evening spots everywhere. I did the P-ride every Saturday morning and the cycling just outside town was awesome.
My wife finished grad school and we moved to Asheville for work, and was honestly expecting a Carrboro-like experience, but found loads of stupid people, poor infrastructure and way too many IPAs. We still made it fun, the breweries, nightlife and mountain biking were enough for us to put up with the bad stuff, but now that we’ve got kids (3yo and 15mo) I don’t really want to raise them here.
I found a job just west of Carrboro/Chapel Hill and I’m considering taking it and moving back to Carrboro. I know the schools are good, but I’m a bit concerned that I’m going to end up in a similar spot, fondly remembering how fun a spot is without thinking about how kid friendly it is. All of my friends that I had when I lived in Carrboro have moved on, so I’d be basically starting over.
So what’s it like having kids in Carrboro? Good community? What’s the daycare setup like? Anyone here in a similar spot with little kids, how do you like it?

I'm tentatively planning a solo bike tour from south central PA to the Hopkinsville KY area for the first week in October. Was looking for some routing suggestions.
Strava seems to like to go directly west using the c&o and gap trails to Columbus and Cincinnati and then south. I was also looking at possibly picking up the trans america trail down near the BR Parkway and taking that across Kentucky because I thought it would have better infrastructure for cyclists.
Would the extra miles/climbing going south be worth it for the view and possible ease of places to stay? Or would you just go west through Ohio?
I'm new to the touring game but I'm a strong cyclist if that matters.
Edit to add: I am planning on a 100 miles a day. That's what I feel I can do comfortably.

Setting the Stage

Important Games:

• Sept 6th: #7 Georgia avenged last years loss to #11 Clemson, 13-7.
• Sept 25: #8 Penn St defeats #2 Nebraska 27-24.
• Oct 9th: #3 Penn St lost at #4 Alabama, 21-42
• Nov 20th: SMU tied Arkansas in its final game of the season, 17-17.
• November 26th: #2 Penn St defeated #5 Pitt (9-1), 19-10

As the last unbeaten in college football, SEC champ #1 Georgia, controlled their path to win a 2nd consensus national title in 3 years. Just win the Sugar bowl and there is no argument who is #1. Penn State was #2 in both polls and accepted a bid to the Sugar creating a de facto national title game vs the Dawgs. #3 Nebraska and #4 SMU were essentially boxed out of the title race. Penn St beat Nebraska in the regular season (thanks in part due a controversial call), meaning that the Polls would almost certainly go with Penn St #1 if both teams won their bowl games. As for SMU, despite having a 0 in the loss column, it was unlikely they would leapfrog the Nittany Lions in the polls as well. I don't have this sourced, but looking at each team's resumes, it appears the pollsters valued Penn State's strength of schedule, which included ranked wins over Pitt, Nebraska and West Virginia, whereas SMU only beat 1 ranked team all season and tied the other. Additionally, if both teams won their bowl, Penn States' win over #1 Georgia would only further separate each team's resumes.

The Bowls

The Cotton Bowl #4 SMU vs #6 Pittsburgh (Jan 1st 1:30PM EST)
As mentioned above, SMU's title hopes were slim, but as we all know, voters can be fickle. At a minimum, they would likely need to route, Pitt, have the Huskers lose to LSU and have Penn St beat Georgia in a sloppy game. Coincidentally, SMU found themselves in a sloppy game of their own. Neither team scored in the first half. Pitt went up 3-0 early in the 3rd, but SMU countered with an early 4th quarter TD. Pitt drove deep into SMU territory late, but QB Dan Marino threw a game sealing interception in the end zone.
Orange Bowl #3 Nebraska vs #13 LSU (Jan 1st, 8PM EST)
The Huskers found themselves in a similar situation to SMU. There hopes were arguably slimmer given PSU beat them head to head. But maybe, just maybe a route of LSU would make the voters forget that. Once again, like SMU, they didn't get the style points they needed. The Huskers trailed for much of the game, and were down 17-7 in the 3rd, but rallied with 2 TDs to take a 21-17 lead. They hold on for a 21-20 victory.
Sugar Bowl #1 Georgia vs #2 Penn st (Jan 1, 8pm est)
The stage was set for a highly anticipated showdown of #1 vs #2. Georgia was led by Heisman trophy winner, Herschel Walker, and Penn St by future NFL qb, Todd Blackledge. Penn St led 7-3 after the 1st then raced to a 20-3 lead in the 2nd before Georgia stopped the bleeding with a TD to make it 20-10 PSU at the half. Georgia started with the ball in the 3rd and double dipped with another TD to cut it to 17-20. Penn St went up 10 with a 47 yard passing TD in the 4th. Georgia would again cut it to one score with a late 4th quarter TD, however, Penn St ran out the clock on the ensuing possession to hold on for a 27-23 win. After 15 years with the program, Joe Pa had was on the precipice of his first national title.

The final polls did have a mild surprise in hand, but the drama was limited to SMU jumping Nebraska for #2. Penn St was a clear cut #1 in both polls. Although Husker fans are still salty about that regular season game this day, you can't deny how impressive this Nittany Lions team was. They finished with wins over the #3, #4, and #9 teams in the final Polls en route to coach Joe Paterno delivering the program it's first national title.
Final note: Bear Bryant would retire at the end of the 82 season. His final game was a 21-15 Liberty Bowl win over Illinois on December 29th. He would pass away less than a month later due to a heart attack at the age of 69. In his 25 years, he won or shared 6 national titles as the Tide's head coach and 323 overall career wins as a coach.

OKAY, LEMME JUST TURN DOwn the gain. Ah, there we go:
Hi all, I started a thread about wanting to get back in the industry a week or two back, read all the replies (and didn't say anything back, sorry) and had a good long think. What I think is that I'd like to try to spin up my own operation. I've got a lot more resources now than when I was working full time in the industry, so I wanna build out a decent kit to test the waters and seek out weekend gigs.
What's the minimum setup needed to hang out your own shingle in a big city? I'm planning on a budget of around 10 grand in addition to things I already have lying around, operating mainly in west LA and providing a PA for wedding DJs and bands, with probably a small assortment of LED pars for wall lights and a couple Source4s, maybe a few intellistage sections and some pipe and drape. I was leaning toward some QSC tops and subs, and some K10s or 12s for duty as wedges or satellites as the situation demands.
Things I've already got from past endeavors, a garage studio and being a gear hoarder:
Decent supply of XLR, 20 or so mid-low tier mics (58s, 57s, a 52a and some sennheiser equivalents, some cheaper stuff for backups), two Eon 615s, an x32 Producer, an S32 stagebox (ethercon is in a wall so I'd need to get more), one 100' 16x8 copper snake. Oh, and also three smaller and less-capable analog desks, one hopelessly obsolete - Yamaha MG10XU, a little 6-channel Mackie I can't remember the name of, and a CFX16 - dig out your archaeological tools for that one, it's from the late 90s.
I know how to set up and operate all the gear listed and also have basic familiarity with video walls, video switching, and video cameras.
I can double my available budget if I save for another six months but I feel like if I buy any more gear I'll hit the limit of what I can pack into and out of a van by myself, and while I could go higher-end than QSC I'm not really familiar with manufacturers outside of them and JBL.
Known costs:
Storage - ground-level storage at local places will float between $70-120 a month for the amount of space I'd need. Everything in my "already have" list lives at home, but it's cramped and nothing else can get added unless I throw out furniture or family. I won't do the latter and the latter won't let me get rid of the former so that's a no-go.
Goals:
Pull in $500-1000 a night, two or three nights a month. If demand skyrockets then in a year or two go back into the industry full-time, but as my own boss this time.
Things I do not know:
Advertising/bidding/keeping clients. I'm decent at customer service service and getting people to sign on the dotted line for the boss but that doesn't translate directly to doing it for yourself. How do you do this? Do I just start spamming craigslist? There are a couple other companies doing that so I assume/hope it works.
Unknown costs, like do I need some kind of liability insurance, incorporation as an LLC or some kind of DBA announcement in a newspaper?
Maintenance, how much extra wear and tear is this going to put on my vehicle and how often will I need to replace an amp unit or a cone, assuming I hit my goal of one or two busy nights a month and I'm not treating the equipment badly?
Answers or guesses as to the above would be welcome.
Ideally I'd like to start my own horrendously evil megacorp, topple PSAV, and reign for a thousand years of darkness but I'll settle for a mildly profitable hobby operation that lets me keep my hand in the game for a while longer. Am I going into this with the right ideas?
Thousand years of darkness aside, how do I avoid screwing over other techs if I end up needing to hire the occasional freelancer?

I live in the Northeast and I was watching the first episode of Season 13 and saw the guy from Marykand competing... Maryland is definitely not northeast. In terms of food, culture, people, etc. Just No. I wouldn't place Maryland in the northeast. Of the 4 regions, it's easily south. Northeast to me is ME, NH, VT, CT, RI, MA, NY, NJ, PA, and maybe Delaware but more iffy. Never in a million years am I putting Maryland in the Northeast. Is this just me? Am I crazy? Like I just don't understand what they were thinking, maybe like even the numbers of states in each region but, that just doesn't work with how regions work.
Side note: what about Alaska and Hawaii? Are they West or just nonexistent?

Sup folks. As a new fan of Tupac Shakur I've grown obsessed with learning everything about his future plans before he died. Here is the fruits of my research if there is anything I missed or got wrong please tell me below.
Albums

• One Nation: The most famous and heartbreaking of Tupac's Lost albums this novel concept was to squash the various beefs between West and East coast rappers before it boiled over. So Tupac got a bunch of artists together or planned to collaborate with Bone Thugs N Harmony, Scarface, Asu, Questlove, NAS, Outkast, Buckshot, Capitol LS, Smif-N-Wessun, Greg Nice, Melle Mel, Numskull, Daz Dillinger, and E-40. Obviously had this been completed this could have completely changed rap history and was about 60% complete with the rest slated to be recorded at Drudown Studios before Tupac's death.
• Ghetto Starz: The most recent title for the planned Outlawz Immortalz album apparently only 10% complete. Judging from the final tracklist, it would have been a bunch of songs Tupac already wrote but with the intent to have the Outlawz collaborate their own verses being the first mixtape album. Other then that it appears that this was the future of his music career as according to surviving members they planned several collaborations. Interestingly, other potential album names were Komradez, and Amerikkkaz.
• 2pacX: Not much is known about this album other then it seemed to be Tupac's planned final album before he slowed down his musical output. Other then that all we know it was that it was supposed to be "clean" and have songs similar in character to "Brenda's Got A Baby" and "Can U Get Away."
• Thug Life Volume II & III: Tupac already had Volume II close to completion before he died and was originally supposed to be a separate album all together aka one on its own. One side was peace and another side was war aka disses. However, apparently Thug Life was supposed to be a trilogy.

Films

• Live 2 Tell: This movie is often said by news outlets to be Tupac's only screenplay but as we see below this is not the case maybe its the sole one where a three act structure can be delineated but to tell you the truth the other films on this list, I am just hypothesizing the plot since there is usually only two, three, or even one pages at best. Basically the movie is about a man who grows up in violence, joins a gang, and then gets out of prison with a need to make amends for his past misdeeds. Almost seems semi-autobiographal.
• All The Way!!!: Not much to say about this film other then the all star cast he had planned for it. Apparently, Tupac wanted Will Smith (who he amusedly refers to as the kid from fresh prince) as a co star, along with Jada Plinket Smith.
• 32 Bottles 2 Ghetto Heaven: Judging from the first two pages this was going to be the African American answer to Larry Clark's Kids (1999) a lot of dark imagery and subject matter described in the first few pages and OST. Appeared to depict an average life in an American ghetto.
• Brother's Keeper: Seems to have a female college protagonist. Maybe a romance?
• Frank & Jesse: Opening reminds me of the Blues Brothers, sorta gives me Guy Ritchie vibes.
• Nothing Gold: Appears to be a family drama without sentimentality.
• Fragile: Nothing much to say since we only have a soundtrack.
• 1999: Okay this is interesting apparently this is AH where in 1999 a uprising occurs where a revolutionary leads gangsters to take over America.
• Kilo & Marley: Nothing but a page but if I were to hypothesize this is a drama similar to the Next Generation storyline from The Wire.
• Kindred Spirits: Kindred Spirits along with the films below were apparently supposed to be a femme fatale style thriller like Shiri (1997).
• A Man's World: Nothing but a title.
• Mercy Sweet: Nothing but a title.

Business Plans

• Powamekka Cafe: A soul food restaurant for cool people in his own words, currently open in New York.
• Euthanasia: This is rather interesting. Tupac's personal production company where he intended to make his own music and cultivate talent independently. However he also intended to use it as a mutual aid platform and give back to the black community by funding daycares, and community centers to help single mothers and kids. Or in his words "Panther Power." He also had plans for his own fashion line made by independent black manufacturers.
• 24/7: Tupac's film company where he planned to make his own movies along with John Singleton who apparently wanted to do a lifetime of films together such as Baby Boy (2001). Notably, Tupac disparages the filmography of Eddie Murphy and Spike Lee as dishonest and wanted to make real films like Francis Ford Coppola, praising Quentin Tarantino as the type of movies he wished to make.
• Makaveli Records: Tupac's record label, he intended to sign the Outlaws and publish his own music with the help of Quincy Jones. Particularly, he intended to release his unreleased songs here.

I apologize that this may be a long post but I want to paint the full picture here. I became a single mom of 2 under 4 last year. My divorce is about to be finalized (I currently live in a state where you have to be separated for a year to file) and im trying to figure out what to do.
I moved to the east coast 4 years ago to follow my ex in the military. I have absolutely no family here. I now work full time after being a SAHM for two years. I had to get my own place because the rooms I was renting the house is being sold. I am now barely making it by financially. My kids dad doesn’t pay child support other than daycare because we have 50/50 custody, every other week.
My issue is all the debt I have racked up over the years of being the only one with good credit in our relationship. And unfortunately they’re all in my name. I pay over 1k a month to loans and credit cards. In the next month or two my ex will be leaving the service, meaning we will lose all military based daycare and insurance. This means we now have to pay more out of pocket and he wants me to help. I will not be able to afford it.
My dilemma now is what to do. I have the option to move back home with my mom to the west coast and she wouldn’t charge me rent and help with the kids. Then maybe I can save money and pay off my debts. But my hesitation is that the job I’m currently at is paying for my school so I can finish my bachelors degree. Fully paid. If I leave, I give up that. I’ve looked into transferring to another location as they are for the most part country wide but the west coast has significantly less options due to only having 7 locations state wide. If I even found a position to transfer to I would be commuting at least an hour to work because I live in a smaller town.
But if I stay here I feel like I won’t make it long financially. My savings are depleting. The kids dad also wants to leave the state so if he leaves I will get child support but I’ll be with the kids full time here with no support at all plus paying for daycare for two kids would basically take up all he gives me.
I don’t know what to do. Should I move for the support and give up the free school?
I’ve also thought about moving to a state closer to my family that has more locations for me to transfer too but even though they’d be closer it would still be 5-7 hour drive and I’d have to find daycare for the kids.
I’m just at a loss and so stressed out. I feel like if I give up school I’ll never be able to make a better salary but I also cannot afford to be here on my own for long.
What would you do? It feels like a year after becoming a single mom I’m more stressed than I was when we first split up.
I also only have 1.5 months to decide because once he gets out we either have to enroll the kids in a full time daycare or move.
Any advice welcome.
