My Grandpa has been with his lady for 13 years. He was completely alienated from us when they started dating. Moved to a different state with her and never calls or visits. Not sure if that’s his own doing or with her influence. Haven’t seen or talked to him since 2010, but I’ve always been a “grandpa’s girl” and we had an excellent relationship. I lived with him as a child.
Fast forward to this past October. I get a phone call from his lady. She tells me that my grandpa has developed dementia and it’s progressed greatly over the last year. Then, she tells me that they got married the day before so that she can make medical decisions for him. Then, she tells me that she’s trying to get his financials in order as well. She says that my grandpa owns several properties and that he wants me to have a specific one when he passes. Okay, cool. I ask if I can talk to him on the phone, she says that he has social anxiety and doesn’t like talking to people. She also mentions that she would appreciate if I didn’t mention my grandpa’s health or finances to my father (his son)..
A few weeks later, my grandma calls me (my grandpa’s ex-wife who he is still very close with after the divorce). She tells me that she is very concerned with this woman marrying my grandpa. They used to have monthly phone calls, but she hasn’t been able to reach my Grandpa in a long time and that she thinks his cell phone was taken from him by his current lady. She tells me that they had a conversation in early 2022 and my grandfather had told her he never planned to re-marry and that he wanted all of his money (600,000) and properties to go to me (his only grandkid) when he passed. My grandma wasn’t sure if his actual will reflected this or not.
600k & multiple properties is obviously much more than just the single property that his lady told me I would be getting. I didn’t mind because I think even just a single property is gracious enough and I like staying out of conflict, especially when family and money is involved. My grandma urges me to contact a lawyer and look into this situation but I didn’t want to. Not worth it.
Fast forward to today, I see the property that the lady claimed my grandpa wanted me to have has been listed for sale. And she has blocked me on Facebook.
My question… Is there any legal stuff in place that would prevent a person with dementia from being taken advantage of and having their will changed by a new spouse? I wish I had more solid information instead of “he says, she says” but it’s hard when I can’t get in contact with my grandpa directly. Any additional advice or insight is welcome.

Hey guys, today marks the day when I made my first sale, and my father and grandfather approached me discussing company ownership.
Some background, over the past 2 years, I started a company based off of a weather prediction model, occasionally asking for advice from my father and grandfather (on how to run a company and for various introductions). Today I made my first sale to an insurance company willing to buy a year’s worth of forecasts, and they came to me saying they want 33% ownership each.
I fully admit I doubt I could have started the company or it would’ve been significantly more difficult, so is this a reasonable amount considering I pitched, invented and built the model myself and they gave advice and connections? Thanks guys!

I am an American of Taiwanese descent and will be going on a business trip to China. When prompted to fill out family information They are asking for the nationality of my parents and extended family. However when filing out that section Taiwan is not on the list, which I would assume I would fill in that option with China. Is that a correct option to chose?
Political reservations aside, I would like to make sure that this would be the correct selection because I do not want to be rejected by the consulate for misinformation and amend my application, which would lead to another visit.
Any thoughts or experience around this would be helpful!

I know all the “ideal” lifestyle changes I should make after RPL to potentially better my chances but it’s such an annoying balancing act.
For one, I’m sad and I’m tired. I want to have a couple glasses of wine at night and drink coffee during the day.
For two, I have a 2.5 year old. She was a first cycle baby. Before her I went out almost every weekend and was probably drinking 10-15 drinks a week.
For three, I’m stressing about trying to eat perfectly, avoiding alcohol and caffeine, squeezing more exercise into my busy schedule, and finding/taking all the right supplements. Oh and of course… I’m also supposed to reduce stress.
I want to enjoy life but even on the days where I say screw it and throw caution to the wind, I feel guilty. You really can’t win.

Hello thanks for reading.
My topload washer hasn't been going into the spin cycle. I just the diagnostic and got these codes:
rror F7E7 = washer sensor thinks washer was unable to reach target spin speed. Error F7E5 = washer shifter fault. Error F5E1 = washer lid switch fault rror F7E1 = washer inner tub speed sensor fault.
I also ran the test thing where it goes through all the cycles briefly. Everything seemed to go smoothly and the washer did spin up during the spin part of the test, so it's able to spin, just not wanting to for whatever reason.
I'm trying to DIY it and hoping someone can advise me on where to start and what to look for. I feel good about swapping about any parts but not sure which parts to check first or how to tell if they have a problem or not.

This situation has been bothering me for a while and I have no idea how to handle it. I apologise in advance for this post being all over the place.
So I have this friend which I am really close to. Our friendship is great, but my problem is in regards to her romantic/sexual relationships and her attitude towards them. Before you say anything, yes I know her relationships are none of my business, but please read to the end to understand my concern.
My friend is the type of person to always have a boyfriend or at least a guy she talks with. She is almost never not talking with at least one guy. If you ever ask her if she has a boyfriend she will always say yes, even if she is single at that time. From pre-k to today, she was rarely not in a relationship or at the very least talking with a guy.
She had both good and bad relationships, but most of the time she is the one to break it off.
Here’s the thing; even if she is in a relationship, she will still talk with other guys (some of them being exes). She claims she never does “situationships” and expects her partner to only talk with her during their talking stage and relationship stage. However, she never does the same in return. She claims that she tells them this condition from the start. I don't know if they tell her to do the same or not, but what I do know is if they ask her to stop talking with other guy/s or to block them she always finds excuses or tells them they are just friends. She is always uncomfortable with her partner keeping in touch with any exes, yet her best friend is her ex. She is always very keen to get into a relationship, but once she gets into one she starts talking/seeing other boys. She also never deletes her dating profiles. Again, she resents this exact behaviour from any of her partners. If the relationship ends (she almost always is the one to break up with them) there are always two ways this situation goes: 1) She moves on, but still keeps in touch with her ex. 2) She moves on, but her ex partner also moves on and gets into another relationship. She notices and becomes very depressed and desperately wants that person back. Once she has him back though, the cycle repeats ( She is always very keen to get into a relationship, but once she gets into one she starts talking/seeing other boys. She also never deletes her dating profiles. Again, she resents this exact behaviour from any of her partners.). If they don't get back together, she simply moves on to the next one, but of course, while still talking with others simultaneously. If I question any of these behaviours she finds excuses or pretends she didn’t hear me.
The weirdest part is, if she sees another person (not necessarily her partner) displaying any of the same behaviours she ostracises them - she claims these people to be cheaters or something much worse.
Also, she claims about herself to be very loyal in relationships, and preaches that communication is key.
I know she lacks self-awareness, but when I try to help her it goes one of two ways: 1) She gets defensive and finds excuses about her actions and she claims her situation is different than another person’s, even though from an outside perspective it’s not at all. 2) She understands and seems to be sorry for her actions, but doesn't change her behaviour and, in my opinion, quickly gets over her feeling of brief sadness. And we are right back where we started.
I remember her dating two guys at the same time, none of them knowing about each other. She told me on one of her dates that one of them genuinely asked her if she is speaking with any other guys besides him and she lied to him and said no. Then the guy held her phone because he wanted to see if she will get a notification from another guy. She said she prayed she didn’t get anything, and she said it was a miracle that she didn’t get any notifications or messages. The guy seemed to believe her. Right after that guy left, the other one came to pick her up for a date. It hasn’t even been 5 minutes before the first left and the other one came.
From my experience with other IRL and online friends, none of them behave or think in this manner. I genuinely haven’t seen this behaviour anywhere and it’s really confusing. I know it is none of my business and this shouldn’t affect me, but sometimes I really do feel bad for these guys. They have no clue what’s going on behind their backs.
When she sometimes asks me for relationship advice, I’m confused how to respond, because it seems to me that she doesn’t understand, or doesn’t want to understand, that these actions are not right.
I was a believer in karma before, but when I meet people like this, my belief is gone. People like this only prove that you can betray people behind their backs and not be punished for it, and also these people not finding out about it. I also thought you can feel a person’s vibe, but since these kind of people continue to gain the trust of so many others, and these others not even having a bad feeling about this person, only to end up having the same fate.
And if you ask me why am I still friends with this person it’s because she behaves like this only in her relationships, not in her friendships.
This whole thing is really upsetting to witness and I would gladly appreciate an outside opinion.
How can I handle this situation?

About a year and a half ago the wife and I moved from a HCOL to a L/M town and bought a small starter home. We planned on living here for a few years then buying a bigger house once the market/interest rates cooled off. We plan to keep this house as a rental.
Current stats.
Income: 80k
House: ~$330k, $210k owed on mortgage
Savings: $50k
401k: $145k
Investments: $120k
We have no debt other than our mortgage, which is $1500 a month. I pay an extra $1000 per month into principal currently and my question is: If I plan to keep this as a rental, should I just pay the minimum, or should I keep paying extra into the principal? I had previously owned my home in the HCOL and had always put extra into the principal, but it was never a plan to keep that house as a rental. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
