2023.06.09 17:37 imamazonworthy Lost weight everywhere except tummy

Hello, recently I started a new diet my nutrition to help control my insulin resistance and immune issues, it's really great and I actually feel great. I did not expect to lose weight since starting this diet and I lost a lot.
The issue is my stomach is still the same size, I currently look like I'm far along in a pregnancy.
Is anyone in a similar situation or knows what to do.
As many as you know doctors are really no help when it comes to pcos and endometriosis and dismiss things easliy.
Some additional info: this diet was especially made for my issues including my sensory issues with food. I know some people say that maby dairy is making me bloated, but i'm severly lactose intolerent and have to avoid dairy. So i really don't think the diet is causing this.

2023.06.09 17:37 Boobinabox Anyone else start their Christmas shopping?

I'm nearly finished. I grabbed white elephant gifts, stocking stuffers, & a couple small gifts for my husband on clearance last Dec. I used a gift card I earned from an in-person survey to get all my FIL/MIL gifts (practically free!).
My husband's gifts are all bought except for one more gift and a $20 steam gift card. I already have cards I'm using for faraway family, so I'll just need to get a couple gift cards for them. Everything is wrapped up in a gift closet and organized. My friends think I'm crazy, but I just enjoy the spirit of Christmas year-round by wrapping gifts as I buy them and saving lots of money!

2023.06.09 17:33 Dili8opk Sara Loves Public Anal,Potro De Bilbao Sara Diamante,Bang Bros

We ran into Italian hottie Sara Diamanté in the streets of Spain. This chick has a perfectly fit body and is down for almost anything. Once meeting our friend, Potro de Bilbao, She instantly asked him to fuck her in the ass. This chick can take dick like a champ. She loves getting fucked. We moved over to a slightly more secluded area for the fun to begin. First, she gagged on his cock in several different ways. From there, she begged for her asshole to be stretched. And that’s exactly what Potro did. he penetrated her asshole in multiple different positions making it gape several times. Finally once she took all the dick her tight ass could swallow, it was time for a huge load all over her glasses."

2023.06.09 17:21 the_Pinball I am on day 3 and have had intense cravings, so asked ChatGPT to give me a motivational speech as a gym bro...

This was its response
"Listen up, bros and broettes! I'm about to drop some knowledge bombs that'll make you think twice before grabbing that drink. So grab your protein shakes and get ready to flex those mental muscles, because I'm here to give you some serious gains in life by telling you why you should never touch alcohol again. Let's go!
  1. Alcohol sabotages your fitness gains: You know how hard you work in the gym, grinding out those reps and pushing your limits to sculpt that jacked physique? Well, alcohol is like a sneaky little goblin that comes in and wrecks all your progress. It slows down protein synthesis, lowers testosterone levels, and messes with your sleep patterns. Say goodbye to those gains, bro!
  2. Alcohol is empty calories: You want to get shredded, right? Well, alcohol is the enemy of gains when it comes to nutrition. It's packed with empty calories that do nothing but add layers of unwanted flab to your body. Instead of fueling your muscles with the nutrients they need, you're basically pouring liquid fat down your throat. Not cool, bro!
  3. Alcohol messes with your focus: You know that mind-muscle connection you strive for during your workouts? Alcohol throws a grenade right into the middle of that. It impairs your cognitive function, slows down your reaction time, and messes with your coordination. Good luck trying to nail that deadlift PR when you can barely stand up straight!
  4. Alcohol wrecks your recovery: Recovery is key, bros! Your muscles need time to repair and grow stronger after intense workouts. But alcohol disrupts that process by inhibiting protein synthesis and increasing inflammation. It's like throwing a wrench in the gears of your recovery machine. You'll be stuck in a perpetual state of soreness and stagnation.
  5. Alcohol kills your motivation: You want to be a beast in the gym, right? Well, alcohol is the ultimate motivation killer. It zaps your energy, messes with your sleep quality, and makes you feel like garbage the next day. You'll be more likely to skip workouts, make poor food choices, and generally fall off the fitness wagon. Is that six-pack worth sacrificing for a few hours of buzz?
Now, I'm not saying you can never have fun or celebrate with your bros, but if you're serious about your fitness goals, it's time to ditch the booze. Trust me, the gains you'll make in the gym and in life will far outweigh any temporary pleasure alcohol may bring. So put down that drink, grab a dumbbell, and let's get swole together! Stay fit, stay strong, and stay alcohol-free, bros!"
Weirdly, this was very effective. I am not a gym rat or a bro but I feel I could be now. I played around with some other prompts to give me reminders of why I shouldn't drink, super useful tool I never considered for managing cravings!

2023.06.09 17:13 thejubilee Bugs that aren't crickets

Hi! We recently got a new bearded dragon friend. My son does most of the feeding and has been having trouble with crickets (and having a lot of them die as well). We've tried black fly larvae and some other sort of worm-like animal I can't remember the name of, but they seem really small compared to even the small crickets we got originally.
I want to make sure our friend gets all his nutrition, but I am really not sure what the best options we can try for protein. There are so many online resources but they don't always agree and rarely include concerns like price etc.
Is there a type of bug we should consider purchasing for our friend that is fairly inexpensive for the amount he gets to eat, other than crickets? Ideally something slightly hardier too?

2023.06.09 17:12 DaLeAtaB What is the Howey test. Why the SEC is evaluating cryptocurrencies by 1940s standards

What is the Howey test. Why the SEC is evaluating cryptocurrencies by 1940s standards

the Howey test

Chief US exchange regulator equates cryptocurrencies with securities according to Howey test criteria list . Which were developed in the middle of the last century and uses this as one of the main arguments

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), , is actively increasing pressure on the cryptocurrency industry. The main U.S. exchange regulator has already filed lawsuits against two major cryptocurrency exchanges. The agency is making a number of allegations against both exchanges. And the main one is the recognition of a number of cryptocurrency assets. Which are traded on the platforms as unregistered securities, falling under the competence of the regulator.
In the lawsuits, the SEC highlighted a list of crypto-assets on both exchanges, which collectively includes 19 coins. And several of them, including Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Polygon (MATIC), Filecoin (FIL), Sandbox (SAND), Decentraland (MANA), Algorand (ALGO), Axie Infinity (AXS), are listed in the charges for both venues.
According to the documents, they all fall under several of the agency’s designated criteria in one way or another. That’s pre-sale or fundraising. As well as promises to improve the project through continuous business development and marketing, the use of social networks to demonstrate the capabilities and benefits of the project.
The SEC uses the criteria of the so-called Howey test. This test, created by a 1946 Supreme Court decision. Which was related to the Florida citrus plantation deals. And is the basis of the SEC’s securities control authority. Which are considered “investment contracts.” And do not fall under familiar categories such as stocks and bonds.
Although the concept originated in the middle of the last century. But the SEC still applies it to actual assets, including cryptocurrencies. Because the U.S. has yet to develop a unified regulatory approach to crypto-assets. And it may be the one that ultimately forms the basis for cryptocurrency regulation.

Florida citrus plantations equated to cryptocurrencies

The Securities Act of 1933 lists financial instruments. Which fall within the definition of a security. And therefore within the scope of SEC regulation. They are stocks, bonds, bills of exchange, security-based swaps and more than a dozen other instruments. The document also cites the term “investment contract,” which arose as a result of a court decision related to the Howey test.
At the time, the SEC sued the W.J. Howey Company and Howey-in-the-Hills Service for selling citrus plantation lots in Florida to the public along with a service contract. Which gave Howey-in-the-Hills the right to lease and own the plots. Howey, with the necessary experience and equipment, remained responsible for growing, harvesting and marketing. The purchasers of the plots received a share of the profits.
Based on this arrangement, the commission accused Howey of offering and selling unregistered securities in violation of the Securities Act. The case went all the way to the Supreme Court. The judge concluded that these transactions clearly belonged to investment contracts under the Act. And introduced the very criteria that became known as the Howey test.

It includes four key elements that must be met to be considered a securities transaction.

  1. investment of money. This can be any type of capital, such as cash, checks or current cryptocurrencies.
  2. Joint venture. This means that the investor’s income is tied to the success of the entire venture. Not just the success of its individual investments.
  3. a reasonable expectation of return. This means that investors must have a reasonable expectation of profit, either through their own efforts or the efforts of others.
  4. Profits derived from the efforts of others. This means that investors must rely on the efforts of a promoter or third party to make a profit.
The Howey test is still used to this day by the SEC to determine whether certain financial products are securities. Some examples of assets and transactions that have been found to be securities under the Howey test. Also include initial coin offerings (“ICO”), tokenized assets, and investment contracts.

New guide to applying the Howey test to cryptocurrencies

The SEC has issued guidance on applying the Howey test to cryptocurrencies and other blockchain-based assets. The SEC has stated that many cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets are securities. Because they meet the four elements of the Hoey test.
One high-profile example is the case of the failed Telegram messenger ICO. That’s when Pavel Durov was able to raise a record $1.7 billion on the sale of Gram tokens to qualified investors. In 2019, the SEC filed a lawsuit against Telegram. And in doing so, claiming that Gram tokens are securities. Also that Telegram violated the law by conducting an unregistered sale of assets. In the complaint, the SEC also cited the Howey test. And argued that Gram tokens meet all four criteria of the test.
Another high-profile example is the case surrounding Ripple’s XRP token. In December 2020, the SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple. In doing so, claiming that XRP is a security and that Ripple violated securities laws by conducting the initial sale of the tokens. And in its complaint, the SEC again cited the Howey test.

How projects try to bypass the Howey citrus test

Focusing on the U.S. market, crypto businesses are forced to consider the Howey test. Now some projects are calling their assets a governance token. Which is used to vote the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) created under the project. However, such tokens are also traded on cryptocurrency exchanges. And are valued in the billions of dollars, so it remains to be seen. How regulators will behave towards them in the future.
Many projects offer their tokens only outside the US. In doing so, they restrict U.S. users from trading or participating in token giveaways (airdrops). Some blockchain services reach an agreement with the SEC. In doing so, they often pay significant fines if their asset is found to be a security.
Our experts note that Coinbase, meanwhile, intends to defend its position. It filed a countersuit against the SEC. In doing so, intending to obtain clear rules from the regulator for dealing with crypto-assets. The platform has openly stated that it has no plans to delist tokens. Which the SEC considers to be securities and wind down staking services. According to Coinbase, the company has more than $5 billion on its balance sheet to maintain operations. And to pay legal fees.

2023.06.09 17:02 sleepysp23 Attempting weight loss: 5’6”, 22 y.o., ~196 lbs

So obviously as the title states I’m looking for weight loss advice. My body holds 200lbs pretty well but I’d love to feel and look better. I’m not distraught over how I look most of the time but still know that if I don’t lose it now it’ll just get harder.
I started a couple of weeks ago, but this week is the only week I’ve been consistently running. I run 10 minutes per day and am working on running the entire time with no walking (I did a 5k last year and want to do another and beat my time…). I’ve gotten to where I can run the entire 10 minutes and even did 15 straight yesterday! I’m making sure I keep a steady pace and got my first ever sense of runner’s high yesterday. I have running shoes and feel really good about my progress for the first time in years. I’ve always been terrible about staying enthused and motivated about working out but it feels really good right now.
As for nutrition, I’m trying to drink a ton of water and am adding protein shakes and healthier foods to my diet. It’s hard since I am living with my parents right now and while we are all wanting to lose weight, denying good, home-cooked food isn’t exactly something I am thrilled about or want to do. We’ve all started eating somewhat better but I’ve considered going vegetarian (not strictly) when I move in a month to aid in health and weight loss.
Does anyone have any advice? I’m worried about moving into a new university and being scared to run on campus or not being able to afford healthy foods. My target goal weight is 150 which is probably not very obtainable but that’s what I was when I was an athlete at 18 with my same height.
tl;dr: Any advice for weight loss for someone who is trying to run and eat better while not breaking the bank?

2023.06.09 16:55 lilblusky Question

My brother who is 16 got hired at chick fil a 4 months ago and they have only trained him on nuggets and dishes and that’s all. The dish washer is broke so he does dishes for 7 hours a days. They don’t train him on anything else and if he is scheduled to leave at 10:30pm he doesn’t leave until 11:30 and is usually the only person there. He applied to be front worker but put him in the back. Is this usually how it is everywhere. And they love playing the Saturday are mandatory statement. All for $10hr. They don’t seem to be the friendliest team.

2023.06.09 16:49 c-hinze57 How would you feel about us joining the Reddit Blackout?

Hello ChickFilA,
I'm sure that most of you are aware that with the recent changes that reddit has announced, third-party reddit apps will be shutting down July 1. In response many subs will be going private June 12-14 in protest, including many of the default subs, as can be seen in ModCoord.
I've been a mod here since this sub had <2k members, and today it has 108k. We're ranked in the top 1% of all subreddits by size alone, and a recent post on this sub was seen by over 350k people. I'm one of the few active moderators here, and do all of my moderating through Apollo for iOS, because let's face it, the official app is sub-par. I, personally, would like this sub to join the blackout and protest these changes, but want to put it up to a vote by all of you.

2023.06.09 16:44 Chupaca_braj My son is going to be blown away the first time he tries apple juice that isn’t watered down.

Not really a tip, but we water his apple juice down about 90/10. Mainly because there’s no nutritional value, but also because apple juice is expensive as hell!
I’d love to see his face when he gets pure AJ for the first time. I imagine clouds will part as he looks to the sky and warm light shines upon his face. Lol.

2023.06.09 16:40 tfti2255 I (M26) met a girl (23F) at church, just being really friendly or into me?

I will preface this by normally being 99% sure this girl would be into me but whenever something like school, work or church is involved I get a bit skittish because I would have to see them every week after lol. Because she's a regular member of our church, I'm really unsure of whether she's just being really welcoming so I feel comfortable because I mentioned i'm newer to the city and that I didn't have too many good friends. Another factor is that we are both minorities (Korean) and one of my friends said its possible that's another reason why she's also being really friendly as there aren't too many who live around us. I've also not dated anyone since the end of college because I've been moving around a lot, which really contributes to my nervousness and uncertainty about the situation.
I've been going to this smaller church for a few weeks and apparently she's a regular member for years but had been out since this past Sunday. There was a barbeque happening afterwards until around 7 and while everyone was eating and playing volleyball and such, we sat out and just talked for a few hours with her and another one of her friends. Seemed like the vibes were good so I asked her for her socials. She mentioned she went to a local gym so I dmed her the next day asking her for details and it was just a short conversation, but then she ended up double texting me around nighttime about a topic we talked about during the bbq. I gave her my number and we've been talking every day since, anywhere from 2-4 hours a day. The conversations at night would always be me saying for her to let me know about something, such as if she were gonna be free the next day and she has been messaging me first around midday and just leading it into a conversation, where we would text intermittently while at work then nonstop around dinner til we both sleep. We met in person yesterday to gym together, then ended up walking to a couple cafes for a few hours just talking until I had to leave for another scheduled dinner. We were supposed to have a dinner today because I'm flying out of state until next week but she ended up having to reschedule for next week which was a huge bummer for me.
While that all sounds great, there's a few things making me apprehensive. For one, I just started attending the church just a few weeks ago. I didn't intend on going just to meet women, but the situation just sort of turned out and I really don't wanna look like the dude who just strolled in to "pick up chicks" and leave. I've been told a lot have the looks of a fuckboy which really doesn't help which is why I'm being cautious and it's a good community that I don't wanna start off on the wrong foot. Because of that, I would really want to be 100% sure before I start actively pursuing this, as I tend to get consumed kinda quickly by crushes and I wouldn't want myself to go through that for someone I misinterpreted feelings from. I also threw out some flirting fishing lines, like when mentioning upcoming movies or shows how I would love to watch them but didn't have anyone to watch with or when talking about drinking or smoking how it would be nicer to smoke with someone else but never really get the response I'm used to lol. She also brought up a her exes a couple times in passing which I felt normally wasn't an amazing sign (nothing crazy, just how we bumped into him at church and a couple funny stories).
However, I can't ignore how it feels like we're literally texting nonstop past 7 or 8 and she instantly replies and our conversations are deep and meaningful. We're both fit and fairly attractive mid 20s Koreans. Our meeting on Wednesday in person was a 1-on-1 at the gym where we saw a couple of our church friends but she insisted that we just work out with each other and didn't mind being seen working out together like that, and the cafes afterwards really felt like a mini-date though neither of us said it was and I was too nervous to go for a hand hold or anything like that because at that point I've known her for literally 3 days. She asks me about things normally I would associate with probing a relationship, like our astrology compatibility/mbti types etc, and has asked about my height (even though we've hung out in person twice by then lol).
What do you think of the situation, and also how would you proceed? Remember that we've known each other since literally just this sunday, and I don't wanna make it look like a hit and run at church but at the same time if there is something there then I don't want to just let it fizzle out because at this point in my life I'm hoping to settle down with someone.
