Hey guys, I'm a teenager from England who has just left school and I'm finding it extremely difficult to find work. The pressure that comes with finding a job is huge, especially when you come from a poor family like I do.
I'm constantly worried about not being able to provide for myself and my family. The thought of not being able to help my mum with paying rent is painful.
I've been applying for jobs everywhere but haven't had much luck. I feel like I'm constantly getting rejected and it's really taking a toll on my mental health.
I know that I'm not the only one in this situatian, but it doesn't make it any easier. Does anyone have any advice for me? How did you manage to find work?
I'm also worried about the future. What if I can't find a job and end up struggling my entire life? It's a scary thought but it's a very real possibility.
I just feel lost and don't know what to do. If anyone has any advice or words of encouragement, I would really appreciate it.

Although this has been ongoing for some time, it cropped up again this week. I bought a tablet to use for reading some PDFs. My eyesight is starting to go as I am nearing 50 and its easier to read a screen 10 inches as opposed to 6. Upon opening the tablet it had a pile of useless apps and required you to be signed in to google to pretty much do anything. I was struggling to just use it in a file transfer and decided I am going to return it at this point.

Perhaps I am expecting too much, or perhaps too little. When I had my blackberry playbook it functioned a lot more like a regular PC. I want my tablet to be a touch screen pc more than a phone, this is a me issue I am sure, but also the complete need for everyone to be in your business. Need to login to outlook to turn on your post win 7 PC, need a google or apple account to use your phone/tablet. Need to sign into your smart tv to get it to run better. Don't mind us activating your camera and mic because we need to know what you are doing at all times.
I was once an early adopter but find tech way to intrusive now. I don't want or need google to check whats in my fridge and order it for me. I don't need Toyota to send me a notification that after 5,000 miles my hybrid van needs a service (and keeps reminding me) despite it using synthetic oil that can get 10,000.
Am I old man yelling at clouds is does anyone else have this issue or other tech concerns? Is my lack of trust from seeing how often it fails a me problem or is it real. I have been super pissed about this lately and want to see an answer that isn't "you are using the internet to post this you hypocrite"

I'm in a great career type job, and have been at this place for nearly 20 years. I've never felt the urge to leave so much as now. Obviously if I'm posting here I'm regarded as successful, looked up to, and am tagged as a great leader who gets things done. I'm actually trusted and respected, and since I have a high need for agreeableness, people like me.
So here's the thing - in my head I know exactly how much I can give to my job, and I stick to this. But within the last 6 months, because of stuff I have no control over, but objected to before during and after, I now cover for 4 full-time jobs; I'm overwhelmed and overworked.
And it's not so much that I'm not delivering on them. My core problem is that I don't have the time/space, within the overall amount of energy I give to my job, to properly focus on any one job. So it's constant anxiety over what I'm not able to do/give energy and attention to.
So I'm ready to walk. Has anyone been in a similar circumstance, or can share something related about why you've left your corporate job?
(I feel like there's some intj tie-in here, where my ability to execute on a task has fundamentally been compromised, and if known requirements are not in place, let some other sucker do the work)

Hey guys I need some advice pretty bad. My new wife wants to end things. She made this decision a few months ago and said that she has been struggling in the relationship for a while now. She still loves me and cares for me but doesn't want to be with me:
1 doesn't feel like I can make the right decisions for the family, 2 does feel like a partner and more like she's my kid. 3. She wants to be independent and be by herself for a while.
I am younger than her but more mature than she is. When I meet her she still lived with her parents and didn't have goals in life outside of enterpenureship. I'm thinking that she never grew up from her college years and lacks major life experiences. I pay for everything, do all the cooking, cleaning, home care, and manage the finances because she doesn't want to do it or is EXTREMLY slow at completing simple task.
Originally I just wanted her to leave. Now I still want her to leave but think the separation would help her grow TF up. Should I leave this door open for her or just end it so I'm not opening my heart up to more damage? Also we still love each other, never had no marriage marriage issues, I've already begun separating assets.

She used to be my coworker, we got closer until we became best friends , she’s the sweetest person I’ve ever met , showed me a lot of love that i never had from anyone, boosted my confidence, taught me how to love and appreciate myself more , i literally found a soulmate in her . She decided to quit her job and from that moment i told her that i don’t think that our friendship will remain the same since we used to work together and had to see each other everyday, she got upset and told me she will make effort to stay in touch and to call me and update me everyday . And since the day she quit i was the only one who’s doing the effort to meet and she never picked up the phone and always giving me excuses that she’s busy . Usually i don’t do effort with people to stay in touch but i don’t wanna give up on her she trusts me a lot , she will get hurt but it’s hurting me too . Hey guys, after searching for a long time this is my final resort before either letting it be or purging my mods folder... I have a bunch of mods but one of them (possibly a stand alone mod, I set it up forever ago) makes it so when my sim completes their lifetime want it just immediately gives them a new one. I remember wanting this feature at some point but now I'm playing generationally and it's annoying me haha. If anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate it!

I want to make some sweet egg white protein oats for dinner (I like dessert type foods for dinner sometimes). I eat most of my calories at the end of the day so I want it to be a huge portion. Can you guys give me tips on how I can improve this recipe? I haven't tried it yet, but this is what I have so far, for chocolate strawberry protein oats:
Oat Bran: 80g, 310cal
2 Large Whole Eggs: ~160 cal
Psyllium Husk: 15g, 54cal
1 Carton Egg Whites: 454g, 250cal
Cacao Powder: 15g, 60cal
Garden of Life Protein + Greens Vanilla Protein Powder: 34g, 125cal
1 Bag FullGreen Riced Broccoli and Cauliflower (added for extra volume): 35cal
Vanilla Almond Milk: 480ml/2 cups, 60cal
Strawberries: 311g, 100cal
Vanilla Extract: 12g, 35cal
Stevia, Monkfruit, and Erythritol sweeteners to taste
Pinch of salt
Process:

1. Chop strawberries and mix in a pan with oat bran, riced cauliflower, almond milk, and salt, and bring to a boil on the stove. Mix in psyllium husk.
   
2. Whisk egg whites together in a separate bowl with whole eggs, cacao powder, protein powder, sweetener, and vanilla extract.
   
3. Add egg white mixture to hot oats and stir for a few minutes
   
4. Pour into a big bowl and let cool
   

Any tips to refine/improve this recipe and process to make it are appreciated! I've never made protein oats before, so this is just a recipe plan so far.

Hey Reddit community, I wanted to share something that has been bothering me lately. I have been feeling really down and depressed because I am earning much less than my friends. It seems like everyone I know is making more money than me, and it's starting to weigh heavily on me.
I am currently working at operations job that pays me enough to get by, (INR 8.5 Lakhs per annum) but it's nowhere near what my friends are earning. They all have high-paying jobs and seem to be living their best lives, while I am struggling to keep up. I feel like I am falling behind in life and that I will never be able to catch up.
It's not just about the money, though. It's also about the lifestyle that comes with it. My friends are able to travel, buy nice things, and enjoy their hobbies without worrying about the cost. Meanwhile, I am constantly stressed about money and can't seem to enjoy anything without feeling guilty.
I know that I shouldn't compare myself to others, but it's hard not to when it feels like everyone around me is doing so much better. I feel like a failure and that I am not living up to my potential.
Has anyone else gone through something like this? How did you deal with it? I could really use some advice and support right now. Thanks for listening.

Background: I grew up part time between Mexico City and Santa Fe, New Mexico. My family only spoke Spanish at home, and it is my first language. I'm currently living in northern New Mexico.
For my composition II class, I am being asked to write about the importance of place in the bilingual children's book Las Acequias de Juan. It's one of those books that has two versions of the same paragraph side by side, one in English and one in Spanish.
I was struck by the very regional sound that both versions of the text have. Neither language originates in the Mora Valley (where the book takes place, here in NM), but they both have a very local flavor to them the way they are used in the book. The English version still contains Spanish phrases woven in. And the Spanish, I don't know how to explain it - the way the grammar is used is different than what would have been "grammatically correct" in my Mexico City middle school classroom, and yet it is exactly the way people speak here in New Mexico. Some of the words themselves have been transformed, not quite into Spanglish. Imagine a word where Spanish is the base, but it's wearing Native American clothing, and then a little English hat. That probably doesn't make sense, but basically it's a blend between cultures that generates this regional Spanish. It feels familiar, warm, melodic to me.
A word that came to mind to describe the character of this regional Spanish was "folksy". Would that sound disrespectful? I find these linguistic differences beautiful and fascinating, but I have sometimes gotten in trouble. Sometimes pointing out differences in the way people speak Spanish in different places can be fraught. Saying something is different is often interpreted as saying something is wrong or worse-than. I feel like "folksy" may come off as demeaning which is the farthest thing from my intentions.

Alright so for the past month or 2 i’ve seen a lot of talk on how Snax has fell off, or at least hasn’t been as good as their past years, then Friday I stumbled upon a ent that had posted a list for tourists or people looking for solid bud, and Snax was on the list, so I decided to comment my 2 cents and even got a dm from a manager from Snax for 10% off my order, went ahead and headed down to Boulder yesterday to check out the store front. Here’s a couple things I have to share ab my experience.
First off, I grabbed 2 eighths, both from Snax grow, Melroze and some SFV that looked liked they had been stocked prior to me walking in, for $40 Im not only impressed, Im insanely surprised due to the fact of all the talk they get against their brand, I smoked a 2 grammer wood, and when I say that was the smoothest wood I’ve ever smoked, and i’m most certainly not the biggest wood smoker, the Melroze broke down super sticky leaving my fingers coated like I just trimmed, has a nice candy/sweet nose on it, all clumped up together sticking to itself after breaking it down, smoked really smooth and flavors didnt get overwhelming from the wood, I had picked up 2 eighths from The Center 2 weeks ago of their in house bud and definitely some solid flavors, for the same price but I had came during happy hr, so I am very pleased with Snax selection, I also got to smell more of their flavs that had been grabbed at more and I really wasn’t disappointed nose wise on all their selection.
Now my shopping experience, I am pretty frequently at Eclipse or Maikoh, so I’m pretty in tune when it comes to getting a solid budtender thats not cash grabbing me, and I will say I definitely was surprised with the guy that helped me at Snax, not only were both the budtenders helpful, they knew how to keep a convo flowing which I was very happy with bc I’ve been to plenty of dispos where it is damn near a one way street for the convo.
All in all i’m very impressed with Snax, and I know every person is different, but I think if you haven’t given them a shot or maybe its been a while, I think you go check the flavs and you’ll def find some fueg coming from the Snax team!

Well as the title says we are 5 people and need one more, so you see we can have a proper team of six perfect for raids. You should be able to speak Hindi because not everyone can communicate in english. We do raids every sat night starting from 11pm because everyone is available at that time. And lastly some of us don't know the mechanics of a lot of raids including me, but once we get the hang of it would be much easier, for example the first time we did the RON raid it took us 7 hours xD only one guy knew the raid but after that 2hrs. I know I am asking for a lot here but I don't just wanna lie and make people join by saying we know every raid mechanic and waste their time, but I promise you we will get there in time. It's been awhile since I dated (10+ yrs), and by reading profiles I have noticed some women say they don't want endless texting and would rather just meet right away to test chemistry. 24M, 5.7 in,120 lbs. Average smoker ( probably like 1 or 2 a day) , smokes weed (been off of it for a month now). I'm running LANCache to serve my two OS installs on my gaming PC (Pop_OS! & Win10) and from tomorrow on my coming Steam Deck.
LANCache runs on a Synology DS220+ in a Ubuntu Server VM: lancache-dns & monolithic in docker, steam-lancache-prefill directly.
Installed everything via documentations, and everything seems to run fine. Prefilled it via steam-lancache-prefill and it shows 96GB in ./lancache .
Setup my FritzBox Router to give out the IP of the VM as DNS. Is being shown correctly on all clients.
None of my Steam clients download from the LANCache Server directly, nor cache there. However works with eg Epic Games Launcher

ipconfig /flushdns nslookup steam.cache.lancache.netnslookup lancache.steamcontent.com 

Show my LANCache VMs IP.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\logs\content_log.txt file from Steam doesn't show my LANCache IP but Steam IPs.
nload doesn't show Steam client hitting the cache at all, however Epic Games Launcher does.

Steps I've taken so far:
Loaded a game that was already in LANCache via prefill completely on a client, uninstalled, then load it again to rule out a "defective" prefill. Both times only directly from the Internet. nload newer showed Steam hitting the cache.
Steam, Settings, Downloads, "Clear Download Cache".
Completely uninstalled Steam and reinstalled it.
Nothing seems to work :/.
The steam client somehow seems to circumvent the LANCache Server completely, and I don't understand why...
