Collage aged boy is looking for an older DOM for a long-term relationship.
2023.06.08 09:49 SharpMouthedCollage aged boy is looking for an older DOM for a long-term relationship.
I'm a young sub looking to grow in the kink lifestyle and gain more experience as a sub. I aim to find someone who wants an extended long-term kink-BDSM-based relationship with a young guy. I can offer the following; conform, good serving boy, companionship, and someone to spend time with after a long tiring work day. Basically, I want to offer my dad, a boy, to pleasure himself when the time suits him. I also want to be transformed into a sissy in that perfect feminine boy for my daddy. The relationship that best suits me at that moment is a 24/7 one, and it'll be best if I move to my dad's at any moment. I don't have problems with punishment. My dad will get complete control and ownership rights over me as his boy toy; I just want to find someone to belong to. I'm very submissive, so my papa wouldn't have problems with obedience. I intend to find someone to care for him as his slave boy, and both of us have this emotionally based master-slave relationship - I want one of that stuff that several years may pass, and I'm still my dada's boy. I'm based in Texas. I'm looking for potential daddies across the state and in the South as a whole. I want a Latino-macho dude, White or Black daddy in his 40-50 with a belly and the intent to own a long-term slave sissy-boy. I don't have a problem with humiliation; my daddy will use me as he wants. PS; Dog training, cigarettes, hot iron, chains, beating, extreme BDSM, face spitting, cages, isolation, kidnapping, poppers, diapers, adult baby, pet taming, slave exhaustion, blindfolds, SM masks, latex, leather events. Drop one if you think you match my daddy.
2023.06.08 09:45 TyTy_TigerHi, my name is Ty-Ty (Tiger), and I need your help.
My dad rescued me and my little brother (Charles), 7 years ago. We were found under dense ivy, with many broken bones, only 3 weeks old. He heard our faint cries and climbed a fence to rescue us. We joined a family of 6 cats, each of us had been rescued over 14 years. Circumstances change, and our dad has had his own health and employment issues. Where he was once able to take us to vets, and pay the kind lady for everything we needed, to recover, to be fit, to be happy, healthy and strong. He can no longer support, the ongoing bills my recovery needs. We had a beautiful home but needed to move to somewhere smaller. Daddy is a property professional, and we moved to a part finished development in the hills. Watching the birds and golf-course people, from our terrace was fun, until one-day people came into our sanctuary, uninvited, when Daddy was out. I’m still scared of people, and they came into our home with large dogs, that chased me. I jumped onto an adjoining roof, but the dogs continued to chase me. In blind terror - I fell from a great height, onto the hard concrete below. My Daddy came home to find me. At first he thought I was dead, but I’m a little fighter. I felt his hand gently stroke me, his tears, as he said, my beautiful little boy, it is ok, if you want to go, be at peace, go to heaven – I will always love you. I decided to stay, and as daddy held my paw, I squeezed his hand, to let him know. I’m lucky not to have any broken bones, but I landed on my head, and that is no longer the way it used to be. At first, daddy told the vet to anything I needed to be out of pain, distress or discomfort. I heard the vet tell him, I could recover, and live a life free of pain and distress, but it would take a longtime, and I would be here for a while. That was 5 weeks ago, and my daddy visits me, and plays with me, everyday, to help stimulate my recovery. I can now shuffle across the floor, grab things with my paws, and I am planning on going four legged vertical soon. But, I heard him talking with the kind lady vet. He has run out of money, my medicines, xrays, operations and continuous care, are apparently very expensive. I know daddy too, has other bills to pay for his problems, with his health. I am therefore, asking you to help my daddy, support me. The big bills are behind us, but I am going to be here for another 2 months. I need medicines every day to keep me pain free, my brain stable and other drugs to regulate my recovery. The kind lady vet has said I can stay here for free, but the drugs are too expensive, and they must be paid for every week, in advance. My daddy cannot afford them. https://www.gofundme.com/please-help-little-tyty-tiger
2023.06.08 09:40 back_from_exile28Running my first organized campaign after running homebrew a few times, would love to hear any suggestions for improvement of the first few session plan
The players consist of a fet weaveknight, a half elf cleric and a human warrior (it has flavor and uniqueness I swear). They are all a part of the adventurer guild called "the silver fox". The guild is gigantic: it has outposts in most of the world's cities, has lots of ties to the upper echelons, and has enough resources to employ a bloated "army" of willing adventurers, that are sent to deal with a variety of missions that can range from overseeing diplomatic events, to finding missing persons, or even just an ordinary beat-up of local thugs. The guild's bounties are divided to four tiers: initiates (simple thug work, an easy neat paycheck), adepts (slightly more complicated and risky gigs, require a bit of experience and skill but pays fairly), veterans (extremely important and delicate works, the reward will probably allow one to live comfortably for a few years) and grandmasters (near-apocalyptic event, the payment will set you up for life but failure may result in an entire village's disintegration). The party starts off as initiates in their local region, they are presented with the following bounties: Clearing the route a local merchant supply chain: the local merchants are being constantly raided by a gang of orcs. The players can kill the orcs or try to persuade them into leaving the life of crime, which may lead to them meeting the orcs as legit business owners in the future. Returning a magical amulet: OK so this is where I delve heavily into homebrew: a magical amulet passed down for generations was stolen by a petty wizard/necromancer that wants to extract the spell power inside of it. The party needs to delve in to the wizards overly-simplistic yet realistic crypt to stop him. When defeated, the wizard will leave a few magical items and cantrips for the players that fit their backstory+abilities. Escorting a tavern owner: this bounty serves to create a bit of intrigue and politics: a local businessman bought a tavern in a neighboring city but the last owner just mysteriously vanished just before the purchase was made, leading many in the city to believe that something foul is afoot and threatened the tavern owner. The party is tasked with escorting the tavern owner to his estate, due to a fear that he may be ambushed and killed. Before heading out they will be met by a mysterious stranger that warns them from interfering. He will offer them half of what the guild pays them if they won't intervene, and double that amount if they kill the tavern owner themselves. If the players help assassinate the tavern owner they will be introduced to a group of vigilantes who will also provide them will missions, although they're on the more violent side of things. If the party escorts the tavern owner and protects him from the ambush he will successfully open his business, and will provide the party with rumors to possible side quests. This is the general idea of what I have planned, I'm also working on "random" encounters for the players while they are traveling in the overworld, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
2023.06.08 09:36 Old-Zookeepergame866Gun and Goo take a stroll in Weak Hero
Its like any other day in the violent streets in Yeongdeungpo. The Union is growing at a notoriously fast rate, and it's suddenly popped on Charles radar. He orders Gun to go and take care of it, and just in case he needs help(lol), he brings Goo. "This is so boring" Goo says. "Lets stop by that chicken place first!" The Monster Duo orders chicken and sits and waits for it to arrive. Meanwhile Teddy comes and brings it out. "Here's your chick-!" He stops in his tracks almost instantly. Being a fighting maniac himself, he can almost instantly recognize strong people by their aura. And the aura that these men were radiating were off the charts. He goes back and tells Gerard, "Hey, those two guys out there... do you know them?" Gerard takes a look and says "No. they look like businessmen. Where are they from?" "Don't know" Teddy states. "They're giving me really, REALLY bad vibes." Gun and Goo discuss the objective. "The Union is a multifaceted organization that has taken control over all of Yeongdeungpo. They have schools like Ganghak, Yoosun, Daehyon, and Hyongshin under their control, along with their respective leaders." Gun states. "Sort of like the 4 major crews? What a bunch of copycats." "Be alert. Apparently all of the schools were united together and they all work under one man: Donald Na. "He sounds strong." "We'll have to go see for ourselves." Gun and Goo leave Tteokbokki Chicken and start their venture to look for the Union. Gerard and Teddy overhear their conversation. "They're going after the Union?!?!? Are they crazy?!?" Teddy tells Gerard. "They must have some ulterior motive for taken them down. Even so, just the two of them?" Gerards responds. "I've got a bad feeling about this. We should tell the gang." Back at Eunjang, Rowan and Alex are sparring again, with Ben spectating. Gray is stuydiing with Eugene when suddenly gets a text. Eugene states, "Some guys are here to destroy the Union?" Ben and Alex eyes widen once they figure it out. Gray stops studying and listens. They all agree to meet with Teddy and Gerard. Outside of Eunjang, They all meet up and talk about it. Teddy describes the two as tall, has glassses on, one is blonde and the other has black hair. Ben looks behind him and says "Is it those two?" Surely enough, Gun and Goo are making their way to Hyongshin. Gun tells Goo "We should thank Kouji for sending us the coordinates of the schools. This makes things easy." As they approach the front door, Hyoengshin students are flooding the streets. Grape sees them and says "who the fuck are y-" Gun kicks him through the front door and he shatters through it. As he struggles to breathe, the rest of the students start rushing him. Forrest is upsatirs and he hears all the commotion going on he rushes downstairs and witnesses something diabolical. Gun runs through the students like play dough, swatting his arm back and forth and sends the students flying all over the place. He grabs a student and launches him at Forrest. Forrest gets up and enraged, throws a wild punch at Gun. Gun catches his fist and glares at him. "This school is too weak." he clenches his fist harder. "WAY too weak." Forrest looks into his eyes and realizes with horror there's nothing there. Just pure, black malice. I.... need to let the others know...about this monster. He thinks to himself. Gun pulls Forrest towards him and hits him with a body shot that sends him flying up into the second floor of the building. He blasts through it, bleeding and unconscious. "Sheesh! that's gotta hurt!" Goo exclaims. "...That takes care of Hyongshin." Gun says. Next up is Yoosun." As the duo departs, Eunjang watches in horror at the massacre they just witnessed. Alex turns at Ben. "Ben.... what do we do?" Bens face is shadowed with fear. "...What can we do?" Ben hasn't seen anything like this before. Even when he was going against Donald Na, the difference in abilities and power wasnt this big. They go to Yoosun. word has gotten around how Gun and Goo have arrived on the scene. Jimmy talks with Donald on the phone. "I heard there's these two men running around wrecking everything." "Yes. they've already got Forrest." "Hmm. Interesting. it seems like even after all this time, we still have ants running around tying to capitalize on the castle. Stay on guard." Donald talks with Kingsley. "Could they be from Mapo?" Kingsley says. "No. Changhuis too prideful to go against our agreement like this. It has to be some outside source." "Gather every executive and have them meet me at Yeoinaru." "Understood." Gun and Goo barge into Yoosun and starts no-diffing everyone without any problems. Jimmy comes along and attempts to sneak attack Gun. Goo intercepts and throws a rock at him, which leaves a scar on his face. Jimmy says, "I've heard about you guys. Guys who think they are the shit. Just wait... Ill crush you into a pulp!" Jimmy charges at Goo and starts hitting him. Goo laughs and take everything he has with a smile on his face. "You're a feisty one, aren't ya?!? Jimmy is baffled why none of his attacks are even fazing him. Is he like Wolf? No....even stronger. Much much stronger. Goo then trips Jimmy and slams his knee into his face. As Jimmy attemps to get up, Goo appears behind him and chops the back of his neck. As Jimmy loses consciousness he thinks to himself, Could Jake or Donald.....even beat these two.? "Well that was annoying. But Yoosuns down!" "So that just leaves Ganghak and Dahyeon... those guys are the stronger parts of the Union. Wolf Keum and Jake Ji." "This is taking too long. I wanna watch "The Adventures of JoonGoo the swordfighter!" "There's gotta be an easier way to do this." "If we go straight to the Union's office, we should find Donald Na. It's in Yeoinaru. Wolf and Jake would probably be there too, since word spread fast." "Alright. let's go there." So the two head for Donald Na. At the office, Jake, Wolf and the Mok-Ha Duo are with Donald, discussing orders. "They really took down Jimmy and Forrest." Wolf states. "That means they're no pushovers." "Right." Jake says. "It's been a while since we had any sort of challenge. This could be interesting." "ARGH, WHO CARES?!?! Dongha shouts. LETS JUST BEAT THEM TO DEATH ALREADY!" "Quiet." Donalds voice made everybody pipe down. There's knocking on the door. Kingsley opens it, and to their surprise, its Eunjang. "What are you doing here?" Donald asks. Ben speaks up. "We know about the men who've been causing damage to all of Yeongdeungpo." "They're really strong. Not even you could handle them by yourself." "So why are you helping us then?" Gray speaks up. "Chances are they're here to take over as some sort of new dictatorship. We just want to protect Eunjang." "Hmm....Alright, White Mamba. Think of this as a temporary alliance of the Union and Eunjang." So the Union and Eunjang work together to attempt to stop Gun and Goo." Attempt. While that got settled, There's a loud BOOM outside the building. Ruckus continues until a fodder comes flying through the door. "Hey." As the steam settles, two men with glasses come out of the frame. Gun locates him and says, "You must be Donald Na." Donald glares at Gun and says. "....This is quite the mess you've made. Do you really think you guys can handle the consequences?" Gun smiles and takes off his glasses. "Well let's find out." Meanwhile, Goo and Wolf are just getting started. "What's up with your hair? are you a mushroom or something?" Wolf says nothing. 1...2....3. He socks Goo in the face. He grabs him and attempts to take him into the abyss. FACE! FACE! FACE! After enough punches, Goo's glasses break. he kicks Wolf off him. "This is so fucking irritating." "Who said you could break my glasses?" All of a sudden, Goo sees a chair leg sitting around. He eerily walks toward it. Gerard and Gray and Alex go and help Wolf, who starts to feel the danger. But it didn't matter how many people helped Wolf. Goo, bleeding and smiling, says to him, "I think you need to be taught a lesson." In about 3 seconds, he instantly dismantles Wolf blitzing him in angles that he couldn't comprehend. He turns around and does the same to Alex and Gerard. Gray realizes that he can't analyze Goo at all, and it's too late before Goo appears above him and kills him with one blow. Meanwhile, Ben, Jake, Teddy, all attack Gun at the same time, which does nothing. Gun then Aikido flips all of them at once, sending them to the air. Jake gets up and starts fighting Gun, who isn't impressed by his skills at all. Teddy then grabs Gun from behind and him and Jake attempt to hold him still while Ben charges up a superpunch. Gun leans down and does a capoeira kick counter, then proceeds to twist his body and simultaneously take out everyone. He appears before Donald. "Looks like no one can save you know. You run a good crew, but it's time for you to go." Donald attempts to attack Gun using a throat punch, and Gun uses Kyokushin-style strike to instantly crush Donald. He dies. Gun and Goo meet up in the middle. "They had a good crew." Gun said. "In any other circumstance, I would've taken them in and trained them." "Eh, whatever." "Goo says." "Let's Go!" And so Gun and Goo leave the dismantled Union. THE END \
2023.06.08 09:35 Harbinger85Album Review: X-Raided - A Prayer in Hell
A Prayer in Hell: X-Raided’s highly-anticipated Strange Music debut is an incredible, haunting masterpiece Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) “It was once said, no tree can grow tall enough to reach heaven, unless its roots are deep enough to reach Hell.” X-Raided has been an underground king for over 30 years, releasing classics like Psycho Active, Xorcist, Unforgiven Vol 1, and Nefarious, the majority of which were recorded during his well-documented incarceration. After nearly a quarter of a century behind bars, X’s prayer was finally granted and he was released early on parole in 2018 and went straight to work, dropping There is a Storm (2018) and California Dreamin’ (2020). In May of 2022 it was announced X had signed to Strange Music, the home of legendary rapper Tech N9ne, setting fan anticipation and expectations at all-time highs. From the moment the ominous lines of the intro begins, X grabs you and pulls you into the surreal, hellish landscape that serves as the setting for the album. “A Prayer in Hell” is a dark, fantastical refrain that showcases X’s incredible lyricism and unrelenting delivery as he describes his nefarious origin story. “He only behaves when ensnared in his cell, beware the evil he’s prepared to unveil, if he’s ever released from the place where he’s held, no escape, there’s not even a prayer in hell”. On “Return of the Living Dead”, X likens himself to a “demonic angel” and tells how he lost himself and ultimately “became a dragonslayer in hell”. Next, X writes some “Life Sentences”, an introspective track that paints a despairing portrait of prison and street life over an atmospheric beat “Hard to change from demon to angel, when you spent the majority of your life learnin’ to scheme and finagle, when its glorified”. On “To Whom it May Concern”, X tells of the self-destructive and suicidal feelings that torment him as a result of his life of sin. Here the album switches gears and begins a string of features with some legendary rappers. X stole the show with his feature on “Still Right Here” from Tech N9ne’s album, so Neena arrives to return the favor on the pulsating single “Stratus Fear”. Here the two rappers have some fun exchanging a string of tongue-twisting and mind-bending verses. Next, Ras Kass and X take on “Any Challenger”, a boastful, energetic banger. ”James Taylor, Carole King” is the mantra on the infectious “Legendary”, where X is joined by labelmate King Iso who delivers another signature highlight verse. Playboi Prada and Bleezy add some mayhem on “Knoccin’”, a street anthem with a beat that could have been produced by Michael Myers himself. The second half of the album starts with “No1 is Safe”, another slammin’ single that X obliterates with his implaccable flow. The beat for “Celebration” is so laid back it could feel right at home on a Wiz Khalifa or Berner album. A-Wax adds a nice verse and hook to this smooth track. X-Raided takes it back to the 70’s with “Blaxploitation” a funky track where X puts himself in the starring role as a Shaft-like character. “Villains in the Streets” is another standout anthem with a strong feature from Yowda. The album reaches its zenith with “Parasitic”, where X describes the dangers of gang mentality over an absolute banger of a beat. "I got you participating in genocide and you did it with pride.” “That was then, this is now” the rapper declares as we transition to “The Bridge”, an old-school summer-time jam that has X reflecting over his childhood days. Joey Cool delivers an inspired guest verse. On “Ka-el” X dons the red cape and describes how he discovered his own powers: “It wasnt until I came down to earth that I realized, I was gifted, everything changed, my perspective shifted.” “This is not a song, this is a poem” X states on “Many Apologies”, the final track of the album . “Seconds, minutes, hours, days” he repeats on the hook, reflective of the album cover that shows X sitting in a room with several clocks on the walls, an analogy for the despair he felt at never knowing when or if he would ever be released from prison. A Prayer in Hell is an exceptional piece of art that is not only X-Raided’s best album yet, but one of the best albums of the year. The production is diverse and top notch, creating a chilling atmosphere that mirrors the intense storytelling and introspection found within each track. Moreover, the album's guest features are carefully curated and perfectly complement X-Raided's style. Each collaboration brings a unique dynamic, adding depth and variety to the overall sound. It's evident that X-Raided has surrounded himself with artists who share his passion and dedication to the craft, resulting in a cohesive and powerful musical experience. If you’re a fan of raw and authentic hip-hop, then this Prayer is a must listen.
I’ll just start off with this is the first time iv talked about any of this with strangers. I 27 female I guess wasn’t given a good life from the day I was born . Bio mom was in the mental hospital and grandparents just called the cousin to take me . For a year or two I was tossed back and forth. Bio mom tried smothering me she abandoned me and family finding me multiple times left alone for days still in my car seat cover in feces and bleeding rashes . Well my cousin decided to adopt me. Yay right I was young enough I should have never known the truth. Well it turned out she adopted me for the money and later on given to her husband for a wedding gift. From around 2 or 3 till I was a preteen around 9 or 10 years he raped me . At first I was told it was a secret game for daddy’s and daughters. And then I started to refuse. He would beat me, hold guns or knifes to my throat or anywhere on me . Threaten to kill my younger siblings and mom. He even let his friends have fun with me and carve me up . I finally told and he went to prison. My mom changed that day from loving me to hating me for destroying her family . She would call me wh*** and sl** and taught my younger siblings to do the same . I was raised anyone of them could beat me but I better not raise my hand . It was my job to do. All house work while she drank away . By the time I was 14 I was kicked out over 100 times . I would call cps the teachers the bus drivers random people but some how they never listened . Cps failed me . By the time I was 16 I started fight back but then beat me harder. she took me out of school after I turned 16 . I was raised to be a good house wife with no freedom I wasn’t and still struggling to learn how to drive and I hate it . She finally kicked me out at 18 and I thought I was free. Until she got sick and at that age all I saw was omg my moms sick and my younger siblings need me .I thought she couldn’t hurt me now she’s to week. So since I was raised to take care of everybody else I did just that. I got my first job with a family member but when I started working to much she kicked me out again and dropped the biggest bomb she’ll ever. She adopted me only for the money and for a wedding gift for her husband. I destroyed her family and that she wishes he would have just sold me like she wanted. I left devastated. She harassed me until she died a few weeks later. I was so torn up . Do I hate her do I love her. Did she ever love me . Was she lieing or being truthful? I’ll never know . After she died my family decided I was to get married and got rid of me . I was so deep in depression I did what they all said my body went on auto pilot it knew listening would keep me safe. My ex husband refused to let me work and messed up paper work so I still can’t get a job . Refused to teach me how to drive or even help me. He wanted a perfect house wife . I left him the only plus . My depression broke I guess you could say and I got away I’m still struggling to divorce him and trying to get it to where I can drive and get a job . But i don’t know what to do most days . I’m so lost. It was drilled into me my job was to take care of everyone else but myself . One night it was a bad bad hurricane I made myself food before everyone else . She locked me outside and told me I better find somewhere to go and hold on . She didn’t let me back in the house until the next day . Another time I used some money I earned to get me some shampoo . She beat me bad that day and gave it away. But if u met her off the street she was the kindest person to you and would pretend she had a heart of gold but to me she was a demon and I thought for the longest time it was normal I deserved it . I still struggle with it . I don’t do therapy or anything I can’t afford it . I feel worthless most days . I remember having such big dreams and she crushed them . I feel as if I’m a waste of a person . I have anxiety and panic attacks like crazy . I have flash backs where it’s like im a kid again I can feel his skin smell his cologne I can smell the beer off my moms breath . My boyfriend has had to wake me up because I’ll be screaming and crying and just swinging away in my sleep . I can’t stand public places my mother raised us in a bar . She would broadcast what her husband did to me to get sympathy. Everyone knew what happened to me by him even if I never met them why because my mom wanted things from them free. She used what he did as a cash making story . It was horrible it’s hard to be in stores or anywhere alone I fight panic attack’s constantly it’s suffocating

My sims were having a nice date tonight the last one before I had planned their engagement. I know how sims can be sometimes so my sims are typically isolated and I like to keep it that way. lol. That’s besides the point. They were having a nice date and Agnes decided to come over and beat the boyfriend with a purse. I’ve been playing the sims for years and of course I know of her but man is she relentless. I know she must have a complete mischief level and all because she’s an elder. But I just really would like someone to knock her on her crumplebottom. If you’re reading this Agnes watch your back 🤣🤣🤣
2023.06.08 09:26 OtaraMilclubthe most logical conclusion is that we may be at the end of the long-running manipulation and set to rocket higher in silver prices. Let me present the facts and leave it to you to decide for yourself.
A set of readily-verifiable facts have combined to point to a stunning conclusion, namely, that thanks largely to enough people doing the right thing, that the federal commodities regulator, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, may have also finally done the right thing when it comes to the decades-old COMEX silver price manipulation. If my assessment is correct, the most logical conclusion is that we may be at the end of the long-running manipulation and set to rocket higher in silver prices. Let me present the facts and leave it to you to decide for yourself. A bit over two years ago, on March 5, 2021, I wrote an article in which I solicited public support in writing to the CFTC and to elected representatives concerning a letter I wrote to the agency about an issue I advanced for decades – the concentrated short position in COMEX silver futures (which I consistently maintained as a key to the manipulation). While there were many naysayers who countered that writing to the Commission was a waste of time, even more observers took the time to write in. Thanks to all who took the time to write in. https://silverseek.com/article/time-act Fortunately, I took my own advice and also wrote to my elected officials and lucked out when through my local congressman and an extremely-competent staffer who diligently-followed up with the agency, received, two months later, an official response that shocked me. After always arguing with every single point, I raised with the CFTC about the concentrated short position in COMEX silver futures, its response this time indicated that it had shared my concerns with two of its critical divisions, Enforcement and Market Oversight. https://silverseek.com/article/cftcs-response If you take the time to read all the references and facts contained in the above two articles, I’m sure you will conclude that I have presented the case objectively to this point. But what’s this business about mission accomplished and the end of the long-running COMEX silver manipulation being at hand? It has to do with another easily-verifiable set of facts since the date of the Commission’s response (May 3, 2021) – the unprecedented decline in the concentrated short position in COMEX silver futures to this time, particularly concerning the commercial-only component of what I always considered at the core of the manipulation. Thinking back on it, I was always intrigued by the way the Commission concluded its response to me in May 2021, namely, informing me that it could not offer further comment on what it might or might not do regarding the information I provided. This was the farthest cry possible from how it always treated my past complaints about the excessively-large concentrated short position in COMEX silver futures. But how could I possibly know whether the Commission was sincere in its response or whether it was just blowing smoke to bury the matter at hand? Then, it dawned on me – it wasn’t words that would indicate whether the Commission was sincere or not – it was its actions; specifically, what would the concentrated short position actually do following its response? At this point, the record is quite compelling that there may have been strong action associated with the Commission’s words. From the high-point of 65,262 contracts (326 million oz) on Feb 2, 2021 for the 4 largest COMEX shorts (which prompted me to write and encourage others to do the same in the first place), the short position of the 4 largest shorts has fallen to 36,478 contracts (183 million oz) as of the most recent COT report (May 30), and when adjusted to reflect the commercial-only component of this position, the concentrated position is down around close to 27,500 contracts (138 million oz), down close to a stunning 60% from Feb 2, 2021. As I’ve been reporting recently (to subscribers), for the first time ever, on the recent $6 silver price rally from early March to the beginning of May, the 4 big commercial shorts on the COMEX failed to increase their concentrated short position, as they always had in the past. I took this to strongly suggest that they would not do so on the next silver rally, whenever that rally commenced. Now, that I’ve had a chance to think about the Commission’s response of May 3, 2021 and measure that response against the actual record of the sharp reduction in the concentrated short position since then, I can’t help but see the connection even stronger and I feel more assured that the days of concentrated short selling containing silver prices may be behind us. It now seems to me that back in April-May of 2021, as the Commission was preparing to respond to my letter of March 5, it not only concluded that I was correct about the concentrated short position in COMEX silver futures being responsible for manipulating prices, it then informed the big commercial shorts to, essentially, knock it off. Realistically speaking, had the Commission simply ordered the then-big silver shorts to cover their short positions immediately, all heck would have ensued, sending prices to the heavens. It would also have demonstrated that the Commission was negligent for decades. Instead, the Commission, most likely, gave the big commercial shorts some time (say two years) to work down their concentrated short positions. Can I certify that such a time-sensitive directive was given to the big COMEX silver shorts two years ago? Of course not, as how could I possibly be privy to such a directive? But I’ll be darned, that in hindsight, if all the facts don’t fit better than the glove in OJ’s trial. Then why the question mark on the mission being accomplished? Because despite everything I’ve alleged (or speculated about) to this point being as real as rain and easily verified by the actual record; whether we are actually at the end of the silver manipulation is dependent on whether the former big commercials shorts add aggressively to new short positions on the next silver price rally. If they do add aggressively to shorts, that would suggest I am incorrect in what I have just written. In that case, there should be ample time to adjust my thinking and positioning, because a decent rally would have already occurred. If they don’t add aggressively to such short positions, then that rally should prove epic and we won’t have to sit around and wonder any longer about the silver manipulation. I can’t rule out the possibility of a continued selloff, perhaps a sharp one, in the immediate period ahead; but neither is such a selloff guaranteed. Should we get yet another deliberate price rig to the downside, that will only enhance the prospects for the coming eventual rally being one for the ages. 2023.06.08 09:23 Djh1982Why the Council of Trent Rejected Sola Fide(note: this post was REMOVED from r/TrueChristian)
During a recent post I was in the comments on TrueChristian doing my thing defending the Catholic position regarding the council of Trent. I thought my exchange with one user would be informative enough in it’s own right to be the subject of it’s own post. This is by NO MEANS exhaustive in it’s content. My intent is only for it to serve as a starting point for those who wish to be more informed about the statements made by this council. This post was removed from TrueChristian and I do not know why although I have messaged the moderators over there. So here it is yet again. A user writes:
And there are huge problems with catholic theology including their non-acceptance of the 5 solas.
Yes, we do reject many of Luther’s ideas. (Note: this person then goes on to cite certain portions of Trent)
Canon 9. If anyone says that the sinner is justified by faith alone, meaning that nothing else is required to cooperate in order to obtain the grace of justification, and that it is not in any way necessary that he be prepared and disposed by the action of his own will, let him be anathema.
This is supported by [James 2:24] and [Romans 2:13]. It is also an indictment of Luther’s position that prior to salvation man does not have Free Will. Luther writes in his “On The Bondage Of Will”(1525): ”For if man has lost his freedom, and is forced to serve sin, and cannot will good, what conclusion can more justly be drawn concerning him, than that he sins and wills evil necessarily?" Martin Luther BW pg. 149 This is heretical because Moses says: [Deuteronomy 30:19] “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live “ The Catholic Church’s teaching at Trent was that Moses was not inviting them to do that which they could not do(i.e; obey God) by means of their will, which meant that their will was truly free. The wording about needing to be ”prepared” beforehand is a reference to the Council of Orange[529AD] which said that God provides “stimulating graces” which prepares the will for cooperation with justification, freeing it so that man may then choose to do what is good. Luther did not only assert that man is justified by faith alone, he also denied these “stimulating” graces talked about at the Council of Orange—hence why he denied Free Will. A denial of these preparatory graces was, to the council of Trent, a denial of Our Lord’s own testimony: [John 3:8] ”The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” As extra reading, St.Thomas Aquinas cites these verses to established these “stimulating” graces[1 Cor 12: 4-12]. If you didn’t know that before reading canon 9 you would be lost at this point. Now why was the Council of Orange teaching about “stimulating” graces in the first place? See Pelagianism: https://www.britannica.com/topic/heresy As well as this article on the Council of Orange: https://www.britannica.com/topic/councils-of-Orange
Canon 14. If anyone says that man is absolved from his sins and justified because he firmly believes that he is absolved and justified, or that no one is truly justified except him who believes himself justified, and that by this faith alone absolution and justification are effected, let him be anathema.
Trent included canon#14 because the scriptures teach that the apostles(and by extension their successors) are the ”ministers of reconciliation”[2 Cor.5:18]. They exercise their apostolic authority to forgive sins through the administration of the sacraments of baptism[Acts 22:12] and sacramental confession[John 20:23]. One may not unilaterally declare that on account of the fact that they “believe” that one has obtained the remission of sins. It is not “through faith alone” that one has the remission of sins, but rather through the authority of Christ, which he has invested in His Church.
Canon 24. If anyone says that justice received is not preserved and also not increased before God through good works, but that those works are merely fruits and signs of justification obtained, not the cause of its increase, let him be anathema.
This is being taught because it is supported by [2 Corinthians 3:18] which says: “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[note: ‘to contemplate’ is a ‘good work’] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory,[aka: Justice is increasing] which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” The reformers denied that your justification can increase AFTER you have been saved. The above passage clearly denies that idea so yes, they rejected sola fide. They had no choice.
Canon 30. If anyone say that after the reception of the grace of justification the guilt is so remitted and the debt of eternal punishment so blotted out ... that no debt of temporal punishment remains to be discharged ... before the gates of heaven can be opened, let him be anathema.
Temporal punishment for sin was not expiated by the atonement, that’s why we are all going to grow old and die someday. Natural death is a “temporary” punishment, or curse, which was placed on Adam and Eve. Each sin has a temporal punishment associated with it, and man’s need to atone for his sin is supported in various sways across several passages: [1 Peter 4:8] “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. See also: [Colossians 1:24] “Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.” And: [Matthew 5:26] “Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.” [1 Tim.2:13-15] “For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. 15 Nevertheless she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.” Furthermore, we see this evidence in the OT as well. David repents of his sin and acknowledges his sin merited death[2 Samuel 12:5]. Then Nathan says, “The Lord also has taken away your sin; you shall not die” [12:13]. But this did not negate punishment: “Nevertheless, because by this deed you have utterly scorned the Lord, the child that is born to you shall die” [12:14]. IN CONCLUSION I hope you have enjoyed this brief explanation of why the Council of Trent said what it said with respect to the Luther’s heretical ideas.

Football fans around the world are still reeling from Argentina's triumph in the 2022 World Cup. The celebrations were not limited to Russia as Buenos Aires gave them a heroes' welcome upon their return home. Argentina's bid for the 2022 World Cup
Argentina's bid for the 2022 World Cup was one that had been in the works for several years. The country has a rich footballing history, having produced some of the most talented players to grace the sport. Winning their third World Cup title would be an achievement of monumental proportions. The team had undergone significant changes since their last appearance at the tournament in Russia four years ago. New faces were introduced into the squad, and there was increased emphasis on youth development and player fitness. Despite these changes, Argentina remained among the favorites to lift the trophy due to their quality attacking options led by Lionel Messi. The team also boasted a solid defence that could keep out even the toughest opponents. Argentina's success in previous tournaments only added fuel to their ambition as they went all-out with preparations for this year's edition. In many ways, it felt like destiny awaited them - especially considering how close they came in Brazil back in 2014 when Germany lifted it instead. As such, expectations were high going into Qatar 2022 and fans eagerly anticipated seeing if Argentina would finally succeed after so much waiting and anticipation.
Messi and Argentina's chances
Lionel Messi is undoubtedly one of the best footballers in history. However, he has not yet won a World Cup with Argentina. Messi and his teammates have come close to winning the trophy on several occasions, but they have always fallen short in the final stages. Argentina's chances in the 2022 World Cup are as good as any other top team in the tournament. With players like Messi, Aguero, Dybala and Lo Celso on their side, they have a formidable squad capable of beating anyone on their day. Messi will be determined to win the trophy this time around after coming so close in previous years. He will be motivated by his desire to bring glory to his country and cement his legacy as one of the greatest players ever. However, it's worth noting that football is a team sport and individual brilliance alone cannot guarantee success. The entire Argentinean squad needs to perform at their best if they want to lift the coveted trophy. While Messi is undoubtedly an asset for Argentina's chances at winning 2022 World Cup, it will take more than just him for them to achieve victory over stiff competition from other countries' teams competing for hesgoals viewership worldwide!
FIFA's decision
After months of anticipation and speculation, FIFA has finally announced its decision regarding the host country for the 2022 World Cup. As expected, Argentina's bid was one of the top contenders for hosting this event, thanks in no small part to Lionel Messi's incredible talent on the field. Despite facing stiff competition from other countries such as Qatar and Australia, Argentina managed to secure a spot as one of the finalists. While many hoped that Messi would be able to lead his team to victory on home soil, ultimately it was not meant to be. In a surprising twist, FIFA ultimately decided to award hosting rights for the 2022 World Cup to Qatar instead. Many fans have expressed disappointment at this decision, feeling that it is unfair given some of the controversies surrounding Qatar's bid. Regardless of how fans feel about FIFA's decision or whether they agree with it or not, there is no denying that excitement continues to build around this highly anticipated soccer event. With only a few years left until kickoff time comes around once again; all eyes will surely be fixed firmly upon what promises itself as an exciting tournament ahead!
The celebrations in Buenos Aires
The streets of Buenos Aires were filled with cheers and passionate fans as Lionel Messi and the Argentina national team returned home after winning the 2022 World Cup trophy. The celebrations quickly turned into a massive party, with locals singing, dancing, and waving flags in honor of their beloved team. Fans gathered at key locations throughout the city to catch a glimpse of their heroes, who paraded on an open-top bus through the streets. Messi was undoubtedly the star attraction, receiving rapturous applause wherever he went. From his famous dribbling skills to his leadership qualities on and off the pitch, Messi has always been an inspiration for young footballers in Argentina. The festivities continued long into the night as people danced until dawn. Many local bars stayed open late so that fans could watch highlights from all seven games leading up to Argentina's historic victory. It was truly a night to remember for everyone involved. Not only did this win bring joy to millions of Argentinians around the world but it also brought hope for future generations of talented footballers looking up at Messi as an example and role model. This moment will be remembered by all forever - one that defines not just Argentinean soccer but also how sports can unite people regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs.
Conclusion
Lionel Messi and the Argentine national football team have been given a hero's welcome in Buenos Aires as they celebrate their bid for the 2022 World Cup. Despite being one of the favorites to win the tournament, Argentina will face stiff competition from other top teams around the world. Regardless of whether or not they ultimately emerge victorious, there is no denying that Messi and his teammates are true heroes in their home country. Their hard work, dedication, and unwavering spirit have inspired millions of people all across Argentina to believe in themselves and their dreams. As fans eagerly await the start of this year's World Cup season, it is clear that Messi and Argentina will continue to be major players on the global stage. With their incredible talent and unshakable determination, there is no doubt that they will continue to inspire future generations of footballers both at home and abroad.

2023.06.08 09:02 WyrmInkRosemary the Lore Bard, the Chef
I just want to talk about my little chef Rosemary, and my experience playing and roleplaying a bard. I'll go over build and spells by memory then my playstyle with her. Love Grows where Rosemary Goes. Tabaxi (MPMM) 10 Lore Bard. 8 STR / 14 DEX / 15 CON / 10 INT / 12 WIS / 18 CHA Background: Custom (Brewers Supplies, another Toolkit), and 2 Skills Level 4 Chef Feat Level 8 Telekinetic Feat Spells 1: Healing Word, Hideous Laughter, Dissonant Whispers 2: Mirror Image, Shatter, Web, Invisibility 3: Hypnotic Pattern, Dispell, Create Food, Counterspell* 4: Polymorph, Freedom of Movement 5: Animate Objects, Cure Mass Wounds, Holy Weapon* Do firstly playing a bard feels somewhat difficult, because I'm always in the back, out of danger. I rarely feel like I'm contributing to the fight, my turns are spent harrasing enemies with my words, psychically pushing them, or restricting movement of enemies. In the morning I give people snacks. That give very minor benefits of temp HP. I do my best to keep allies alive by using Cutting Words to make enemies miss, and transform myself or allies into T Rex, Crabs, or Gorillas to keep them alive. I keep a low profile, appear small, fragile, not a target as my teammates take hefty beatings. I rely on them to carry me. I pick them up if they go down, and end any charms on them. So combat wise, there isn't much glory in being a bard. This bard does not do big damage, but she sustains her allies. She's been a lot of fun to play though. I've been enjoying being the chef, describing what we're cooking. Chapter V
Two Kinslayers
"Has anything changed?" The man, if he could thought of as a man, was covered in black robes. He refused to wear anything else, murmuring in his foreign language at every word, move or sound of others. "Is he any better?" As good as us, Lews Therin said. He's a killer, like I am. Shut up. Alanna and Verin both inspected him. Looking up, Rand noticed Mat, Aviendha and the Maidens of the Spear were all terrified of him. The Aiel women did their best to hide it, but he still saw it in their faces. "Moriñgotho." the man said. "Moriñgotho enutúlie." The word "Moriñgotho" was the one he kept repeating all the time. "He is..." Verin said bewildered, staring at him still. "He is...fine. There is nothing wrong about him. His body is completely healthy. No scars, no wound...he is completely fine." Alanna touched his head. "Light! It's the opposite. His body is stronger than any of us. He is in better shape than anyone I've ever seen." "Eru apseni. Ilúvatar, apseni. " "He is stronger. Taller. Healthier than anyone I had ever seen." Rand nodded, looking down at the man. He was still shaking and murmuring. He was not looking at any of them or anything at all. His grey eyes were completely absent. Rand barely needed to even lean to touch the man - even when sitting, his head and shoulders were close to Rand's. Rand removed his thick black hair, in his hand feeling it very smooth, looking at his ears. "Pointy? He has pointy ears?" "Yes." Verin said, looking at the other one. "I don't understand it either." His ears were not slightly pointed: rather both ears were noticeably longer than of any ordinary man. Not abnormaly so, but noticeably. "Maybe he was just born that way." "If he was born at all." Mat added. The Aes Sedai looked at him, visibly irritated, with Alanna biting her lip. "And why exactly are you questioning that?" "Why? Oh, I have no idea. Maybe because he fell from the bloody sky?" "Cauthon!" "Stop!" That was all Rand needed to say to convince them. Shutting up an Aes Sedai or Mat was an impossible task sometimes. "Moriñgotho." the man continued. "Moriñgotho." "Is he speaking real words or is he just...stuttering?" Like you, maybe? Lews Therin chuckled. Verin did not answer immediately. She kept listening to him for a while. "Those are real words. But..." "But what?" "I don't know what language it is, Rand." she said bluntly. "And I don't think anyone in the world does." "Moriñgotho. Moriñgotho." "That word he is repeating." Aviendha said. "Maybe it is his name?" Rand looked at the man again. He was repeating that word all the time, yes - but he did so with terror. It seemed like he said it always as quickly as possible, just to end it. "No. It's not a name. Not his at least." "How do you know?" "I do." Aviendha and the Maidens rumbled about "wetlanders" when he said that. He placed the hand on his shoulder, slightly shaking him. "Listen to me..." "Moriñgotho. Moriñgotho." he said. "Morikotto. Morkotho?" He looked at them once, as if waiting to be corrected, but then continued... "Moringotto. Moriñgotho." He's lost his mind, Rand thought. Is he a channeler? And yet somehow, Rand doubted that was the case. "What do we do with him?" Mat asked. "He needs help." "And what do you want us to do, Cauthon?" "Heal him." Verin scoffed. "From what? Have you heard what we said? There is nothing wrong with him." "Light, woman, he is mad! Rumbling the same thing over and over again!" "Morkotho. Moriñgotho. Morgotto? Morikotto." "You can Heal him, can't you?" Alanna was frustrated with Mat's tone, but she felt Rand's answer to that. Just try if you dare. She bit her lip. "One Power can heal all wounds of the body, Cauthon. All except death itself. That is true. But no one, not even in the Age of Legends, was ever able to heal any mental illness or insanity itself. That is impossible. At most the Compulsion can be reversed, but that is all." Mat looked at him. "Rand?" Rand just shook his head. Lews Therin remembered some type of Healing of the mind, but... It came from him, not the Creator. You are still mad, though. Mat kept looking back at the man. "We can't just leave him." "And what will we do, Mat?" Rand asked him, almost deciding to turn back. "We cannot help everyone." Curse me, but we cannot. Davram Bashere looked at the man, then at Rand again. "With all due respect, Lord Dragon, everyone saw him fall from the sky. Not only that, but people have said they saw a bright falling star moments before he fell." "And you think he is that star?" Of all people, Rand never expected Bashere to be superstituos. "If the possibilities are that narrow?" he shrugged. "I honestly do." Rand clicked his tongue. And they say male channelers are mad. "Rand al'Thor." Aviendha said. "No one is lying here. We all saw the star falling." "Suppose you are all right." He played with buttons on his sleeve. "Let us say there was a star that fell and he was there when it did. Doesn't mean at all he needs to be that star." Alanna felt frustrated, Rand returning that emotion. "Rand, look at him!" Mat pointed at the man. "Does he look like an ordinary man to you? And we are all telling you - he fell from the sky!" "If you do not trust us," Aviendha said. "ask the others in the city." "The Pattern, Rand." Verin said. "Whoever or whatever he is, the Pattern brought him here." "And how do you know that?" "How?" Verin scratched her chin. "Well, I am just an Aes Sedai, after all. However, I seem to remember people do not often fall from the sky." Sky was filled with fire and ash, then. Lews Therin seemed to have gotten quite talkative at the moment. When I killed her. He started weeping. I killed my Ilyena. "Moriñgotho." "I cannot take care of him." "Who said so?" Alanna commented. "Honestly, you would be the worst person for that, al'Thor." Rand bit his tongue before answering back. If I don't want her being proud, I must be humble too. "We will take care of him." Verin said. "We can..." Rand cut her off with one short glance. "Mat?" "Yes?" "You will take care of him." Cauthon reached his chest. "What?" "Since you are so eager to help him. And you found him first." He nodded. "So...I need to go find the princess and take care of this poor man. You want me to clean your toilet too?" Alanna felt like an injustice was done to her when Rand let that pass. "He is safe with you too." "This is absurd!" Verin said. "Rand al'Thor, we need him with us! Whatever he is saying must be properly translated." "Fingolfin..." The man said, with a voice that was almost breaking. "Hanno! Hanno, apseni!" "He is going where I said he is going - as far away from Aes Sedai as possible." He did not consider them deserving of even a look. "He is going with the Band of the Red Hand. I will not argue about this." Even Sulin scoffed. "Rand al'Thor, don't you dare be that stupid!" Davram Bashere just looked to the side during this argument. Insulting superiors was something only the Aiel considered acceptable, as it seemed. Rand continued with his own. "He goes with Matrim, Aes Sedai. My decision is final." "If you do this, the White Tower will not be on good terms with you anymore. And you need us, Rand al'Thor." They all stopped as the man stood up from his seat. Standing now almost a head taller than Rand, he gave a glance to each of them. Those grey eyes were deeper and older than the sea itself and the face, again, more timeless than the face of the Aes Sedai. He looked down on them all, then fixing his sight on Rand. He stared long enough for Lews Therin to start rumbling...and then go silent without any interferrence of Rand. The man walked up to the window, looking over the city. Rand slowly approached him from behind, and the man turned back to him. "Here." he said abruptly. Rand narrowed his eyes. "What?" "Here." The man pointed towards the bottom, then to himself. "Here. Stay?" he said, again waiting to be corrected. "Here. Stay here." "What, you want me to stay here?" The man started nodding, but when Rand pointed at himself, he shook it, then placing a hand on his chest. "No...you want to stay here?" The man nodded. "Náto." "I suppose that means yes." Rand said. "Very well. Do you want their help?" Rand pointed towards the Aes Sedai and tried to explains with his hands as best as possible. The man slowly came to understand it. "No." "No?" "No know?" He shook his head. "No! Lá sí. Now not." "Not now? You do not want their help at the moment? In this place or at the moment?" "Náto." "But maybe later?" "Náto." "Alright then." Rand said, offering his hand for a shake. "You may stay." Alanna felt like she will scream. The man looked at Rand's hand for a bit before eventually taking it and slowly shaking it. Light, he has a strong shake! he admitted. "Bashere?" "My lord." "Find some servants to help our friend. Get him a home or a room." "At command, lord." he clasped, leaving the room to look for some servants. When Rand turned, he saw them all staring at him, confused and frustrated, all except Verin. He had no intention to explain himself, not even to Aviendha and Mat. Verin, however, was staring at the man. "He just learned to speak the Common Tongue fluently...within minutes?" Mat scratched his hand. "Uh...Verin Sedai, he simply babbled a few words." "That he never heard before or understood." Verin looked towards Rand, expecting him to change his mind. "He is not a rat you can experiment on." Rand said. "He said he doesn't want your help now. He will ask for it later." She pursed her lips and closed her eyes. "Rand, please! He is important, whoever he is. We can help him..." "He will ask for it when he needs it." Rand did not raise his voice and went to leave. "Mat, you come with me. You others can stay or go." The women all wanted to burn him as it seemed, but he could not care less about it anymore. The room he led them to was Mat's temporary place while he was still in Caemlyn. Rand was not going to change his plans, despite the man's appearance. "Nice place." Rand said. "Not as warm as the Two Rivers, however." "It is cozy, yes." Mat took a seat on his bed. "But I must admit I miss the Two Rivers." Tam's gentle voice. The baaing of sheep. What did I do to deserve this? "Make haste slowly, Mat.” He started striding up and down. He never looked in Mat’s direction. He could feel sweat slicking his face, and his jaw was tight. "He has to see it coming. Everything depends on it.” Mat started taking his boots off. "I know,” he said sourly. "I helped make the bloody plan, remember?” That was a thing Mat would always say. He missed those days when the two of them, along with Perrin, would just live and rejoice. He found it, at he very least, good he met other people and loved other people after that. That was not encouraging, but it was comforting. He started thinking of Aviendha then. Mat always had a way with women, he thought. How do you know you’re in love with a woman, Mat? he almost asked, but then brushed it off. Mat already had enough of burden on his own shoulders. Rand did not want to place his own upon him too. And...something pulled those words away from him. He still did not stop his striding, and he dropped it in as if it fit what he had been saying. "I’ll finish Sammael, Mat. I promised that; I owe it to the dead. But where are the others? I need to finish them all. One at a time, though.” That was all he could do. What did I do to deserve this? "There are Dragonsworn in Murandy, Mat. In Altara, too. Men sworn to me. Once Illian is mine, Altara and Murandy will drop like ripe plums. I’ll make contact with the Dragonsworn in Tarabon - and in Arad Doman - and if the Whitecloaks try to keep me out of Amadicia, I’ll crush them. The Prophet has Ghealdan primed, and Amadicia almost, so I hear." The Prophet. An old word. From an age long forgotten. Even Lews Therin mocked it from time to time. Men who heard voices in their heads, he would often say. So I am a prophet too, am I? "Can you imagine Masema as the Prophet?" Unimportant question. "Saldaea will come to me; Bashere is sure of it. All the Borderlands will come. They have to! I am going to do it, Mat. Every land united before the Last Battle. I’m going to do it!” He hadn't noticed his voice had taken on a feverish tone. "Sure, Rand.” Mat said slowly, depositing his other boot beside the first. “But one thing at a time, right?” One thing at a time. There was a game like that. His voice started breaking. The game my children liked to play. I killed them. I killed them and my Ilyena. Rand sighed. "No man should have another man’s voice in his head." he muttered. How long has Lews Therin been in there? Rand did not remember when was the first time he heard him. It seemed to him that it happened when Lanfear met him in Tear. That seemed to have triggered Lews Therin to come out. Since then, the Kinslayer just started speaking louder and louder. Very rarely did he say meaningful things. Just babbling about his wife and children, and friends long gone. From time to time, he would speak of creatures of old, or "Angels of Heaven" as he called them, begging them or the Creator for forgiveness. But otherwise, he was just babbling. He's like us. Lews Therin said then. &He's like me. He killed.* Who? Those who were his family. No. Who are you talking about? I killed my Ilyena. He sighed again. You are mad. Like Sammael was. "He can be gulled, Mat - Sammael always thinks in straight lines - but is there any opening he can slip through? If there’s any mistake, thousands will die. Tens of thousands. Hundreds will anyway, but I don’t want it to be thousands.” he said that more to himself than to Mat. Not even to Lews Therin - himself. "But, what about him?" Mat asked, expecting Rand to know. "You really don't think he's a big thing?" "Maybe." Rand said. "Maybe the Pattern or the Creator himself sent him as help or temptation." Then he narrowed his eyes. "Or maybe the Dark One himself sent him here. Maybe he is even one of the Forsaken." Lews Therin did not agree, however. "You see it makes sense, right Mat?" Mat looked down at his boots. "Yes...I think I know what you mean. But...Light, what if he is an ally? You can't refuse help, you know?" Lews Therin scoffed and, honestly, Rand would have too. He has been refusing "help" ever since killing Rahvin. "Don't worry about him, Mat. He is my burden now. What you need to do is stick to the plan." "But, there is something off about this, Rand..." "Don't worry about it." He insisted. "Just stick to the plan." "That is all?" Mat expected something more. What is it? "That is all you have to say?" "Yes. That's all." He opened the door, not even looking back. "Sleep, Mat. You'll need good rest tonight." Rand closed the door, continuing his way through the red corridor that was covered in light of only few torches. He made some light himself, weaving Fire and Air together. The Maidens were, at the moment, absent, and had left him alone there. Two hundred and five. That is how many people had died when he fought Rahvin excluding Aviendha and Mat and who, unlike them, stayed dead. And Mangin...He was hanged this morning. I watched it. That was all he could do for him. The young Aiel was much like Mat, and had a great respect for Rand, wanting to protect his honor. He cursed Aiel honor three times when that happened. Aiel customs, Aiel culture and all of it. And he cursed Andoran stupidity, Andoran pride and Andoran carelessness. Lews Therin instead behaved practically and cursed them both. Wetlander, Andoran, Aiel...it's all the same. Bands of babbling idiots, both talking of honor, when they can't even agree what that word means. How many more needed to die because of such pathetic views of honor? The Forsaken also wanted honor - honor and glory. Demandred, Sammael and Lanfear wanted it most of all. Did it make it any better? Lews Therin seemed to actually wonder about that. He wondered again. He hated it. Hard as stone. I must be hard. Light, I must. The man can stay for now. If he is an ally, good. If he is an enemy, good - he knows how to handle him quickly. As easy as Rahvin. He extinguished the lights, allowing sound and smell to lead him instead. He woke up the next day, still feeling tired.

2023.06.08 08:16 OK-Digi-1501"The Oasis" - A Panam Palmer side mission (fanfic)
"The Oasis" - A Panam Palmer side mission, by Pat Merz Original Characters and Worldbuilding by CDPR. Chapter 1 The rust-colored sun dipped below the horizon, its golden light filtering through the dusty atmosphere of the Badlands. Panam Palmer stood atop the crumbling highway overpass, scavenged binoculars pressed to her eyes as she surveyed the desolate landscape. Nothing but sand and scrap metal as far as the eye could see. But Panam knew better than to let her guard down. Dangers lurked out in those wastes, vicious creatures and ruthless raiders alike. Panam sighed, lowering the binoculars. They'd been stranded out here for nearly a week now, the nomad clan's vehicles giving out one by one in the unforgiving heat. Food and water were running low, and tempers were starting to fray. But Panam couldn't give up hope. She was the clan's de facto leader, and they were counting on her to get them out of this mess. "See anything?" Her friend Fina had climbed up to join her, shielding her eyes against the dying sun. Panam shook her head. "Just more of the same. But the storms will pass eventually. We just have to hold on a little longer." Fina nudged her with an elbow. "When have you ever given up on us?" Panam smiled, a surge of warmth and determination flowing through her. She'd do whatever it took to keep her clan safe. The Badlands could try their worst, but they'd never break her. Not as long as she had her family by her side. "C'mon," she said, slinging an arm around Fina's shoulders. "Let's get some rest. We'll be back on the road before you know it." The wasteland stretched endlessly before them, harsh and unforgiving. But Panam gazed out at the ruins of the old world with hope in her heart. Their journey wasn't over yet. The road ahead was long, but they'd travel it together. The next morning, Panam woke as the sun peeked over the horizon, bathing their makeshift camp in a golden glow. She stretched her arms above her head and got to her feet, ready to face the day. Her younger cousins, K and J, were still asleep, curled up under a ragged blanket. Panam ruffled their hair affectionately, and they blinked awake, yawning. "Time to get up," she said. "We've got a long drive ahead of us." K groaned. "Do we have to? I'm still tired." "The sooner we get moving, the sooner we'll find more food and water," Panam replied. "Now come on. Pack up your things so we can get on the road." Her cousins grumbled but did as they were told. Panam smiled, pride swelling in her chest. She'd raised them since they were babies, and though the life of a nomad wasn't easy, they'd grown into capable, resourceful kids. They were her responsibility, and she'd do whatever it took to guide them to a better future. While K and J broke down their camp, Panam went to check on their vehicles. Their collection of cars and motorcycles was their most valuable possession, and constant maintenance was crucial. She inspected each one, tightening loose parts and refilling empty gas tanks. Everything looked ready for the long journey ahead. By the time she finished, the rest of the clan had woken up and packed their gear. Panam climbed into the driver's seat of the lead car, her usual spot. The others followed suit, cramming into the remaining vehicles. "All right, let's move out!" Panam called over the roar of engines. They set off into the wasteland, kicking up clouds of dust behind them. The road ahead was uncertain, but as long as they had each other, the clan would survive. Panam smiled as she gripped the steering wheel, following the twisting path through the ruins. Their journey was just beginning. The sun beat down mercilessly on the dusty Badlands as Panam guided their convoy down a crumbling highway. Beside her in the passenger seat was Fina, her closest friend and confidante. Fina fiddled with the radio, trying to find a station that wasn't static. "Any luck?" Panam asked. Fina sighed. "Nothing but white noise." She leaned back in her seat, brushing a loose strand of hair from her eyes. "The heat's making my head pound. How much further till we stop?" "A few more hours at least," Panam said. "But don't worry, I saw some ruins in the distance that should give us good shelter for the night." Fina nodded gratefully. "You're too good to us, you know that?" Panam just laughed. "What else are friends for?" Behind them trailed two more cars and a motorcycle. In one of the cars was K, monitoring their vehicles and supplies with a careful eye. He'd been a nomad his whole life, and there was no one Panam trusted more to keep their convoy running. Bringing up the rear was J, kicking up dust on his bike. J was the clan's scout, constantly scanning the horizon for any signs of danger. But he was also the life of the party, quick with a joke or playful insult to lighten the mood. The four of them made a good team, each contributing their own skills and strengths to the group. And together, Panam knew they could survive anything the Badlands threw at them. "There!" Fina said, pointing at a crumbling building up ahead. "That looks perfect." Panam grinned. "Then that's our stop for the night!" She steered their convoy off the highway toward the ruins, ready to set up camp. The day had been long, but they were used to hardship. As long as they had each other, they'd make it through. The ruins loomed before them, crumbling concrete and rusted metal jutting into the orange sky. Panam pulled up to the largest intact structure, what might have once been a warehouse, and killed the engine. "Everyone out!" she called. "Time to make camp." They spilled from their vehicles, weary from hours of driving but moving with purpose. There was work to be done. K popped the hood of their truck and began checking fluids and connections, ensuring their vehicles would start again in the morning. J jogged the perimeter of the ruins, scouting for anything useful or anything dangerous. Fina joined Panam in hauling gear from the cars, setting up tents and a firepit. The sun was nearly set, its light fading fast. They had to work quickly. "I'll get the fire started," Fina said. "See if J's found anything we can burn." Panam nodded and continued unpacking. Her hands were calloused from years of hard labor, her fingers nimble and sure. They all had skills like these, honed by necessity. Out here, you adapted fast or you died. By the time full dark had fallen, they had everything set up. A fire crackled, casting flickering shadows over the ruins. K had fixed a busted hose in one of the cars and was cleaning his tools. J emerged from the darkness, his arms full of old wooden crates. "All clear," he reported, dumping the wood by the fire. "No sign of anything nearby." "Good." Panam slid down next to the fire with a sigh. The day had been long, but they'd made good progress. She looked at her friends, their faces lit by the dancing flames, and felt a surge of affection for them. Whatever came at them next, they'd face it together. They always had. The next morning dawned pale and chill. Panam woke as the sun crested over the horizon, its weak light filtering through the tent fabric. She emerged to find K already up, frying synth-eggs over the fire. "Morning," he said with a nod. "You're up early." Panam yawned and scratched the back of her neck. "Everything okay?" "Just restless." He shrugged. "Figured I'd get breakfast started." Panam studied him, noticing the tension in his shoulders. She knew him too well to miss the signs of worry. "What is it?" K hesitated. "It's probably nothing." "Come on. Spill." He sighed. "Tracks. Big ones. About a hundred yards out, heading west. Looked like reaver bots, maybe six or seven of them." Panam's heart skipped a beat. Reaver bots were bad news—heavily armed killing machines left over from the last war. If they were active again, it could spell trouble. "You're sure?" "Pretty sure. But like I said, they were headed away from us. Might've just been passing through." Panam mulled this over. They'd have to be extra vigilant now, in case the reavers doubled back. But no need to worry the others just yet. "Keep an eye out," she said. "We'll stay on guard. But let's not panic unless we have a reason to." K nodded. "Right. No sense borrowing trouble." "Exactly." Panam gave him a grateful smile. "Thanks for letting me know. I'm glad I can count on you." "Always," he said. "We look out for each other, right?" "Damn straight." Panam squeezed his shoulder, feeling the solid weight of muscle and chrome beneath. However tough the road ahead might be, they'd face it together. They always had. Panam gazed out at the rust-colored dunes stretching to the horizon, her keen eyes searching for any signs of movement. Somewhere out there lurked danger in the form of reaver bots, but for now, the wasteland appeared empty. Still, she remained on high alert as she guided her truck down the worn dirt road. The rest of the Aldecaldos followed close behind in their own vehicles, Fina riding shotgun next to her and the others packed in with supplies they'd scavenged from an old fuel depot. "See anything?" Fina asked, scanning the horizon with a pair of battered binoculars. Her fingers tightened around the grip, tension evident in her posture. "Not yet." Panam kept her hands steady on the wheel. "But we're not out of the woods. Stay sharp." Fina nodded and resumed her vigil. A few moments later, J's voice crackled over the CB radio. "So, uh, did we make a wrong turn or what? I don't remember the road taking this long last time." Panam sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. Leave it to J to complain when lives were on the line. "We're taking a different route back for safety. Now pipe down, will you?" "Copy that," J grumbled. "Geez, just trying to make conversation." K's voice came through a second later, calm and reassuring. "Sit tight back there. Panam's got it under control." "If you say so," J said. "My ass is numb, that's all I'm saying." "Your ass will be numb and lifeless if you don't shut up," Fina cut in, her tone brooking no argument. J wisely stayed silent after that. Panam bit back a smile, grateful as always for her friends' support. No matter what dangers they faced in this harsh world, they faced them together—and that was what really mattered. The wasteland stretched before them, holding unknown terrors, but Panam gripped the wheel tightly and drove on. The Aldecaldos would make it through. They always had. --------- (Please let me know if you wanna read more or if this totally sucks >:- )
2023.06.08 08:08 _disneyphile_My nondenominational megachurch pastor father is visiting tomorrow for a week. After 3 years of beating around the bush, I think I’ll tell him the truth point blank that I no longer believe, with rules.
He has to know by now. I haven’t posted on social media about anything religious, any bible verses, or that I’ve been to church in 3 years. But he comes to visit me every year and every year he asks me about my walk and says something like “we all have an appointment in heaven and you need to make sure you and your kids are there to make the appointment” 2 years ago that statement lost all meaning as I no longer believe in heaven or hell or an afterlife. There is no appointment. I decided that this year if he asks (which I know he will) I’m going to say flat out that I don’t call myself a Christian anymore. But before that, I have rules. We can talk about it, but we will not fight about it. I will shut it down if it turns into a fight (I came from a childhood of hostility). And there will be zero proselytizing to me or my children. I’m interested to see how it goes. He lives far away and rarely talks to me anyway, so if he cuts himself off it wouldn’t be a big shock. I think I know more about the actual history of the bible now and have watched enough anti-apologists that I have rebuttals to all of his points. I’m ready to just get it over with and be out of the exchristian closet.
