I recently came to a somewhat complex point in the scriptures of the Tripartite treatise in which the author narrates the emergence of the three powers through the Logos (Sophia Achamoth).
1-Powers of Matter (Imitation) 2-Animic Powers/Soul (Remembrance/Resemblance) 3-Spiritual Powers (Images)
Are these powers what they actually appear? Such as "angels", "demons", "elemental spirits" or do they represent more cosmic principles/force of nature than hordes of angels and demons?
Not forgetting spiritual powers, the Tripartite Treatise also mentions them as images of the Aeons, residing in the Aeon of Images (8th Heaven, below the Pleroma along with Logos/Sophia Achamoth), however, it is not explicit whether the spiritual powers would be just "divine sparks" without individuality( such as those that were introduced into humans as the myth describes) or would really be powers endowed with individuality such as the powers described in the matter(Devil and his servants/demons/archons) and soul(Demiurge and his servants/angels/archons).
I believe that many here have not yet delved into the Valentinian writings and may not be able to give feedback or insight into the real meaning of these three powers described, if they are literally hordes of beings or if they are just "opposing forces of nature/cosmic" with no individuality.

The armor of God represents the defense we must take in our spiritual lives. The Bible tells us that we are fighting a war against Satan, who seeks to destroy us. Therefore, we must take action and put on God's armor. As Christians, it is important for us to understand the severity of this battle.

You have free will to choose to be good or evil. God allows you to choose even if he knows what you will choose. If he doesn't allow evil people to exist he cannot give free will to man or he cannot let man be created. If we are not created by God he cannot save his lost sheep born into a world of good and evil where the ground is cured and weeds grow amongst the wheat.

I'm typically performing gigs on lyra but everyone once in a while I book lollipop gigs. I've been renting from friends of friends for those but just booked a 5+ recurrence gig that needs lollipop.... Any recommendations on which to buy, or how to get one used in Los Angeles?

Apologies for the heated title. So I bought this game on sale after seeing a glowing review of it. I'm aware this game takes things slowly, it's not something like diablo or dark souls where combat is core to things - playing "cheap" is intended and there's no shame in running away, outwitting foes is more reliable than trying to overpowering them.
I've made my 150 initial silver, got some equipment, gone to Berg and joined the faction after some cursory online research about the pros and cons of them, which portrayed it as a central "generalist" faction that is beginner-friendly. I've got a Recurve Bow, an iron mace I slapped some teeth on, and a shield. Didn't find any armors more protective than cloth yet (I'm at like 11 phys resistance).
The core problem I'm having is... I can't win fights. I kick and use the mace's high impact to drain foes' white bars. I drop my backpack and dodge roll out of attacks and to block them with my shield, trying to switch between offense and defense as appropiate. I bought the health upgrade from the starting town, yet every hit taken chews through a large chunk of it - while my hits don't do nearly as much. I can find ways to usually wiggle down single foes and kill them via knocking them down with the kick, but as soon as two weak foes are involved, I need to slow down real hard to not get wiped immediately and even then seem to have bad odds of coming out ontop. If any of them isn't paticularly weak, or if it's 3+ foes... good night.
I've survived the beginner quest to get the round shield mushroom only by sprinting in and stealing it after being forced to flee from the fight against their boss and accidentally distracting it. I've had to fight two hyenas once after getting a little lost and barely lived. I fought against two hyenas and died. I fought against two bandits and died. I tried to get mana, went into the conflux path of that blue faction I joined, found a red troglodyte and died. I tried exploring under a windmill, found a sick cave with a trio of odd purple glowy things, downed some potions to prepare to a fight, tried to run away with the loot when one of them had a better ranged attack than I could hope to have, failed, and died. I got a quest to kill 3 warlords in a certain location, died on the way there to three bandits, woke up in a cave by some weird friendly Immaculate that had more loot than I'd be able to get myself, went out, picked a fight with two glowy things in Berg's forests (partially out of frustration as I just wanted to figure out how you do combat) that had healing, barely picked one off, ran away, lived. Then I tried to find a safe spot with butterflies (that's how that works, right?), found some weird sword horse (I couldn't get a good look due to night time) and died.
Gep's saved my sorry ass thrice now and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. So... I've got some questions.

• What am I doing wrong?
• How often are you supposed to use consumables? I've been trying to spend some of them on bigger-looking fights, but healing potions seem to cost more than I can make from whatever I'd fight with them, and every fight seems lethal. Am I not supposed to fight anything but the easiest fights without prebuffing and traps? (I haven't tried traps yet)
• Is this a wiki game? I've refrained from looking up things yet since it seems Outward is a game that prioritizes immersion and figuring things out yourself, but I don't have the money to just buy every recipie I come across in hopes they're both useful and made from things I can actually access. Am I supposed to look these up? I've noticed the purple glowy things I died to came up in the tutorial where you're supposed to try magic out on them, which kinda implies normal weapons don't work well? But no NPC could teach me about them, so I have no idea wether this is true or if there's any paticular strategy I should take to not get killed. How do you like, figure things out without dying?
• I have a good 250 silver to my name now, saving up to buy the house for 500 so I have a place I can actually store my stuff in as my backpack is getting very full. Or are you supposed to buy that bigger backpack instead and just lug your entire net worth around all the time? I know to convert money to gold ingots to save weight.
• That quest to kill 3 warlords in the beginning area. Is that not appropiate for new characters? With how much I've been dying to smallfry, I don't think I'm anywhere near ready to face three "warlords", even if conveniently seperated, especially if they have more smallfry around. I haven't walked over and tried, though.

I really want to enjoy this game. Please help :c
