for some reason even though the butterfly stretch is super easy for me i have really, really bad turnout (ballet instructor said it meant it was a strength thing but i can't even pancake) and so my T stops have always been bad. for this reason i wanted to stay with 9 1/2 but i've always wondered if 9 3/4 would feel better. 9 1/2 has always felt "small" but that could just be the feeling of 7ft rocker, the only other blades i had were too large (jackson mk2) so i don't have a comparison

i was going to try to get to everglides but it's such a long journey and i can't get details sorted. there's a skate shop in canada that would be good (Moir's) but the blades i think i'm going to get are cheaper here in england by a good amount. i'm scared to go to pattern 99s because i heard they don't help your spins unless you already have good spins so i was going to go with (rev) phantoms. i was going to do revs because of my height (and covid, what up) adding extra weight and because of a R knee injury, and so i don't have to adjust to different catch foots since i already use coro ace lites

i don't know who did this to my blades- coronation aces already have a small rocker profile i believe but the tail end of my skates are just gone and the rocker is diminished... and yeah some of my drag pick on both sides was taken off... why would they massacre my sweet boys lol

2023.06.05 04:41 Available_Option3912 How would I include this on my resume + Am I too late?

Hey there reddit!
I am trying to apply for a Business development representative (BDSDR) job in the USA (I am a citizen).
My questions are:
1) On my current resume, for some of the companies I previously applied to, I did not mention the company I was working for (Ie: I tried to apply to Google in October, but didn't mention that I worked for my current company for around 4 months). The reason why I did this was because, originally, I didn't think I was going to stay (I was hired as a BDR at this company as soon as I turned 18, was trained during the summer, before heading to college in D.C). I had to leave college because of my father's health condition and went back to work effective January of 2022.
A) What would I do here? Should I still apply to these companies? What would happen if I were to apply to one of these companies and they were to note that my current resume is different (not mentioning prior experience) to my previous resume?
B) Would I have a chance to explain to the company (via phone call or email) the reason i didn't mention my prior work experience after they, lets say, reject my application because they think I am lying (would that make a difference, post rejection)? How about if were to (or should) mention it to a recruiter during an interview, assuming they didn't notice the change (how would they react)?
2) I used to work on a large family YouTube channel centered in the Middle East. I had worked there for 2 years. In those 2 years, I had grown it from 1.6 million subs to 3.4 million subs and by 100 million views. I had decided to resign due to ethical issues and, with that, they are unwilling to provide verification of my work. Notably, I wasn't paid a salary and they are centered in Jordan.
A) How would I go about including this information on either my resume or in an interview? Should I? I am worried that I might include this info and then, when verification time comes around, I will be flagged for not being able to verify my experience!
B) I did apply to a few companies with this on my prior resumes. With that in mind, What would happen here? Will I ever be asked questions about why I didn't include this on my current resume, be seen as suspicious, or be required to have this experience verified?
3) I was speaking to a recruiter Thursday morning when she gave me an email that prompted me to include my resume so that she can submit it to a company. I wasn't able to submit it Thursday or throughout the weekend due to a family emergency. I still need to make edits (the information gathered from this post) and then plan to post it on Monday morning.
A) Do you think I still have a chance of being taken seriously or having the recruiter understand why I was late to submit my resume? What should I say or do?
4) Assuming I don't include my picture (or job title near my name), does this look like a good resume template for someone interested in a BDR tech job on the West coast? How about any BDR job (not tech) in the U.S?

2023.06.05 04:41 askwhatyouwishtoknow Unsure what to do in my unique situation 30, roughly 3.2mm NW 1.5mm liquid, bad/little to no job prospects.

Sorry in advance for the long post. I'm rambling a bit but trying to give you a bit of insight to what is going on in my head and why I am avoiding sticking to the plan most people here and on other fire or bogglehead forums use.

Background

I have done some entrepreneurial stuff and have gotten very lucky but for the most part I have little to no real transferable job experiences. I cashed out some of my riskier investments to move to a more stable portfolio but regretting it a bit. I feel there's no real place I want to put my money for long term growth and due to my age I don't have faith in the 4% rule to support me until I die. Really even if I lowered it to 3% the problem is I worry about going through an era of stock price stagnation like many other countries have seen. I gravitate heavily towards cash flowing capital assets.
I don't really have any real job prospects or any type of skills that could get me a 9-5 career with potential for growth. If I did, I would just get a regular job throw everything in VTI and call it a day. I wont get social security at the moment because I never paid into it. Everything ive paid in taxes is considered passive income.
I would look to reeducate myself or do further education but honestly I think the influx of money at this age hurt my work ethic and desire to work. I also simply just don't know what I would enjoy doing for a living or what I enjoy doing in general. I have a bachelors in economics but a low GPA because my mind was on other things during school, which hurts the chance of me getting some sort of further degree.
I was thinking about buying some commercial real estate for the cashflow but im in a HCOL area (suburb of NYC) and not a whole lot you can buy even if I had access to the whole amount so if I bought in another area id be relying on a property manager. Also id be heavily tied to one area and who knows what the real estate market there would be like in 30 or 40 years. Side note I don't like REITs for the most part because of their leverage and would most likely just own mine debt free and treat it like a bond that pays a coupon but has an underlying value that keeps pace with inflation.

Net worth

I have about 1.5mm in cash sitting in a money market account, another 800k in crypto Id probably not touch for tax and philosophical reasons. I also have about 1.2mm split between some QOZ funds which I cant really touch for 10 years but unless the fund goes belly up during a construction phase, I should start to receive distributions in a couple years (one of the funds I'm in for 400k is already distributing at about 4% a year). However roughly 400k is owed in taxes on this money in 2027.
If I'm lucky the 1.2mm in OZ funds will appreciate (original estimations are 2x-2.5x in 10 years tax free due to OZ law) but with the current commercial RE market ill be happy if there's no loss of capital across the funds I invested in. I also have about 100k in another real estate bridge loan fund which pays 8% and about 200k equity in a tiny primary residence worth about 500k that id probably just rent out if I upgraded at some point. Sitting on a 3% 30 year fixed mortgage so no reason to pay it off.

Cost of living

With the money market and some other of my investments im probably making around 80k-100k post tax but losing principal in real terms due to inflation. So trying not to use that much money earned.
In general I actually use very little money and have a low cost lifestyle. I mostly spend my money on games and collectibles. I probably only spend $50,000 a year and that includes my mortgage payment but I'm a bit of a hermit and would like to have the ability to spend 100k-120k a year without worrying about eating into principal if at some point I start to travel and see the world more. Anything I didn't spend id just reinvest.
Its also not 100% necessary but at some point id like to upgrade my house because I really only bought it as a starter home while I figured things out. I would probably wait until I saw how my OZ funds panned out until I did that though.
I'm wondering if maybe I just bite the bullet and DCA into VTI over a year or so and try to get a crap job paying very little in the mean time to max out a ROTH while I figure things out. I worry about asset prices if we see a recession or market pullback so if interest rates go up again, maybe DCA at a slower pace?
What would you do if you were in my situation? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Just looking for some sort of guidance or path forward.

I’ve been riding off and on for about 3 years now and I just started back. I’ve noticed that with my zone 2 training it’s quite difficult to keep my heart rate from climbing quickly. As soon as I start to pedal I’m at 150bpm and a bit more effort I quickly jump to 170bpm, all out and it’s not uncommon for my bpm to hit 200. Now I’ve been trying to keep my cadence between 85-95 and I it seems like I spin out quite easy and I feel like I am barely moving.
My question is has anyone experience having this high a BPM and should I drastically lower my cadence to try and bring my heart rate down to meet that zone 2.

2023.06.05 04:36 GawenStarTeller I feel like the fact that Paladins straight up doesn't launch on x64 bit clients for Windows 11 might be a huge issue for retaining potential new players intrigued by the game.

So, I don't know whether this is a problem that's been experienced by all users who attempt to play Paladins in x64 on Windows 11, but it definitely seems to be an issue that I've seen pop up on this subreddit occasionally. There was even a post on Paladins a while ago that was along the lines of "I'm installing the game, ask me any question about Paladins and I'll answer it as if I've been playing it since release", and later they revealed in the comment section that Paladins was unable to start correctly for what I'm assuming is the reason I'm mentioning here. And that doesn't really provide a very good first impression.
At the start of this year, I purchased a new PC that was significantly better than my last one for gaming, installed with Windows 11 as its operating system, and I was puzzled to learn that it wouldn't load past the EasyAntiCheat screen when launched. After doing some research, I learned that this was because Paladins just refuses to launch on some x64 clients, and that changing it to launch at x32 will fix the problem. Apparently there are also ways that you can still run it at x64, but I never really looked into that due to the solution I already found being sufficient to me.
My point here being... how many players might be out there that install Paladins, attempt to launch it, find that it won't for some reason, and then just give up because they assume the game is simply broken? Most people would probably look for a solution, but I imagine that there are some people that just wouldn't bother, because why try playing a game that won't work? I don't know, it just feels like it might be something that's a priority to fix. Or have it launch on x32 by default on Windows 11 OS's or something.

2023.06.05 04:35 GawenStarTeller I feel like the fact that Paladins straight up doesn't launch on x64 bit clients for Windows 11 might be a huge issue for retaining potential new players intrigued by the game.

So, I don't know whether this is a problem that's been experienced by all users who attempt to play Paladins in x64 on Windows 11, but it definitely seems to be an issue that I've seen pop up on this subreddit occasionally. There was even a post on Paladins a while ago that was along the lines of "I'm installing the game, ask me any question about Paladins and I'll answer it as if I've been playing it since release", and later they revealed in the comment section that Paladins was unable to start correctly for what I'm assuming is the reason I'm mentioning here. And that doesn't really provide a very good first impression.
At the start of this year, I purchased a new PC that was significantly better than my last one for gaming, installed with Windows 11 as its operating system, and I was puzzled to learn that it wouldn't load past the EasyAntiCheat screen when launched. After doing some research, I learned that this was because Paladins just refuses to launch on some x64 clients, and that changing it to launch at x32 will fix the problem. Apparently there are also ways that you can still run it at x64, but I never really looked into that due to the solution I already found being sufficient to me.
My point here being... how many players might be out there that install Paladins, attempt to launch it, find that it won't for some reason, and then just give up because they assume the game is simply broken? Most people would probably look for a solution, but I imagine that there are some people that just wouldn't bother, because why try playing a game that won't work? I don't know, it just feels like it might be something that's a priority to fix. Or have it launch on x32 by default on Windows 11 OS's or something.

2023.06.05 04:34 ForceOfWar First time SF player Modern Control Experience. Very Detailed hi

TLDR: Modern is NOT good. I am have been playing almost 18 hours in training mode and 3 in battle hub. Don’t waste your time with them new or old players unless you just play for fun on weekends.
Disclaimer: I am maining Manon so this whole opinion may only apply to her
Moveset:
Damage is not good and her tools to get in like the heavy kick, the leaping jump kick and the drive rush low punch you see all the pros using as their combo starter like Justin Wong and IDOM is gone. Yes. You new street fighter player who want’s to get better… YOU can’t use the most essential buttons for your main that will help you compete.
You cant do low punch or heavy kick from neutral.… NO LOW punch your best frame move. The leaping kick move you see justin using all the time, basically missing all the moves Justin is constantly using. The main combo Idom and Justin use starts with the drive rush into low punch. I imagine they are using all of those moves because they are the best for either gettin in or controlling space or have better frames like the low punch.
Auto Combos:
I barely use the auto combo because it burns your meter and is not that optimal for damage I rather do a command grab to get medals. None of the auto combos give medals and two of them are do easy to do by yourself literally just like 3 buttons there is no point to the auto combo.
Auto combo three is the only decent one it leads into level 3 super art which is a decent finisher combo if you can get a hit confirm. It’s true that two button command grabs are really good because it’s not just easy but fast nit the problem is Manon barely has tools to get in and use these buttons because her best footsie and rush in tools are gone.
You have to strictly rely on opponent whiffing or suicide jump, or suicide drive rush with a non optimal like a heavy punch, feint or medium punch… but trust me against all good players will mash you and stuff you right away.
The only time I get in really is when I am already decently close and I condition all match with a medium punch after a drive rush but it pushes you back… thats not what you want. Eventually you can mix up the rush into a command grab. I have to heavily rely on the drive attack in order to get in and that is not good you are doing random drive impact attacks and you get punished 80% of the time.
I am not good by any means this is my first street fighter game I have been playing it for only 3 days. So everyone I played against in battle hub were platinum players. I lost like 50 matches straight and every player was using a 10 yearold character with the same move-set and probably played the beta for 2 months and who knows how many years. No one daring to use someone new I find that funny. Stay in comfort zone in a non ranked match?
I am using a brand new character and yes I am a brand new player but I clearly realize she is missing so many great tools its like half the manon it’s a horrible start for any new street fighter player.
Conclusion:
I don’t recommend modern for anyone who is going to play for a while… maybe modern is good on some characters like luke probably that’s who it was built for. If you are an experienced player you have zero reason to be using modern controls her classic moves are not that hard except her specials and maybe the manage dore command grab kind of tore my thumb up on classic its a backwards half circle. On a stick it’s probably nothing.
The specials on a stick might be easy too I have no idea but double backwards half circle after a combo is so inconsistent for me I decided to go with modern just so I have a consistent finisher. I am pretty disappointed over all I had no idea I would lose so many key moves.
If you think “oh you are bad” that’s why it’s not helping you then why would modern controls help a good player? I played 5 matches against iron players and absolutely smoked them. I checked their profile and they played mostly world tour and ranked… NO TRAINING ROOM. I am losing against experienced players these people have already mastered every single combo and move of their character on day 2. It’s not normal at all. Either the characters have the same move sets as older games or these people have been playing the beta.
I Digress, anyway There is literally NO reason to use modern for anyone but a casual who is just passing through or plays on weekends with buds.
You get some easier buttons on subpar moves and a free lvl 3 special… for 20% less damage and losing 6 major critical moves some that are basics that really complete her moveset. I am a new player but I atleast understand this most basic principle. You have no excuse to play modern Manon and don’t do what I did and gimp yourself.
I wish I could go back in time and go to classic for manon but my muscle memory is shot after 20 hours in training but I am worried im in too deep. To throw away all that training to re train my brain to classic feels bad I don’t think I have it in me.
Sucks.
