So, took a family trip to Omaha to celebrate my son’s 16th birthday. We had a lovely evening at the Twisted Fork restaurant in the Old Market area, enjoyed ice cream at Ted & Wally’s and rounded up the night playing games at the Hollywood Pinball & Arcade. When we arrived at our car that was parked in a garage nearby, we found that the 2 driver’s side windows had been smashed. Nothing was taken as there was nothing of value. After about 10 minutes of attempting to clean glass off the seats and being on hold with the police department, a security guard came up and said that he had witnessed it on his monitors and filed a report already. According to the video, a group of kids walked through the garage just 5 minutes after we parked and randomly bashed several other car windows also. So, we now have no choice but to go home early, missing the things the other 2 days we were planning to spend here, including a trip to the zoo. The money we would have spent on the trip will now go to repairs and then some. Tomorrow we look forward to finding a place to vacuum the glass out of the car and a 4 hour drive with 2 missing windows. Should be fun.

Is this kind of thing passable for a police report? The wording on the QPS page for property damage reports specifically states the incident needs to be intentional. Its clear though that it was an accident, but just careless.

Hello, I was recently scammed on carousell around 23rd - 28th May. The tldr is the person sold me a digital product, refused to give me the proof of ownership ( of which we had disagreements with after the sales, and he claims to have some sort of sentimental value of it) on 23rd May. Having the proof of ownership of that product allows him to retrieve the product back despite selling it to me, of which he did after 5days,hence 23rd-28th May. I already suspected he might retrieve it back at this point hence I made a report early.
The police report was made on 23rd (Report was initially not filed as a scam), and I have hard evidence of him taking the product back after he sold it to me (I have evidence of him selling it again to another carousell user and their conversation).
I have also been updating the IO of my case quite frequently, sending him whatever information I have, updates of it becoming a scam etc. But progress of the investigation has been quite slow and the IO only told me it was under review last week.
I just want to know if anyone made a report of a similar case and how long does the investigation usually take. From my friend's recount, the IO of his case managed to freeze the bank account of the perpetuator within 3days, yet in this case it has been quite awhile and nothing has been done, considering I already have pretty hard evidence of it.
If anyone in the force is able to give any advice it would be great! Sorry for the large block of text

I got home from work and checked the mail to find a letter from the post office. in it, they tell me that a carrier delivered a package to my apartment on accident and that I need to return it or they will encourage the customer to file a police report. I haven't had any packages delivered in months and have no knowledge of this package. I'm honestly just stunned. I filed a complaint and plan to go to my local USPS on Monday. what can I do about this?

To keep it short, we are in the U.S where my uncle was hit by another driver. His car was damaged from the side and the other woman had severe damage to the front of her car. The woman ended up being taken away in an ambulance. There was no dash cam or witnesses, so the police officer at the scene just reported it as “no fault determined” and cited that both parties had said the other hit them.
The kicker here is my uncle didn’t have insurance at the time. However, this was the only month out of his entire driving career that he didn’t have insurance.
Now they’ve sent collections after my uncle. My question is what is the next move from here? Should he pay up or should he ignore collections?

"The body of a nude young woman was discovered along State St. in the East End in 1944, and neither she nor her slayer were ever identified.
An 18-year-old River Rd. youth found the corpse June 5 around 7:30 am., wrapped in two green blankets and unclothed except for a torn pink slip around her shoulders.
Sam Winters, a high school football player, was on his way home from Crucible Steel Co, at Midland where he worked overnight. He had left a bus at Mulberry St and was walking along State St. when he noticed a pair of bare feet extending from blankets.
He ran to a nearby site and telephoned police.
Apparently strangled, the victim lay on her back in a cluster of weeds about eight feet from the roadway. The blankets were secured to the body with a seemingly little-used clothesline.
The woman was between 25 and 30, with dark brown hair and brown eyes, about 5 foot 6 and weighing around 125 pounds.
County Coroner Arnold Devon reported no marks on the body other than a discoloration on the left shoulder at the base of the neck The body was still warm when found, and Devon estimated the time of death around 5 a.m.
Sheriff George Hayes made plaster casts of tire tracks in the cinder road for possible future identification of the auto used to transport the body. All city police were called to duty in a hunt for clues and visits to restaurants and taverns to locate someone who would recognize the victim.
The following day - Sunday -- an East End man hunting for canvas to build his children a play tent, rummaged through trash at Columbian Park where a carnival had played the previous week. He came across a torn dress and another dress and skirt with rips.
It was discovered that the dead woman resembled one of the five girls in a picture of the Sheesley Carnival's "Gay New Yorkers revue. Sheriff Hayes traveled to Lima where the carnival was playing, but telegramed city police, "Girl in question was on show last night."
Meanwhile, the body was interred at Spring Grove Cemetery after a brief service at the Dawson Funeral Home where some 1,500 viewed the victim out of curiousity or in hopes of recognizing her.
Later the funeral home officials barred anyone from visitation other than out-of-towners sent by police.
Dozens of calls were received from relatives seeking a missing relative or friend, and from law agencies asking a description.
Her fingerprints were sent to the FBI at Washington in hopes that she made have worked in a war industry and identity could be made. But Director J. Edgar Hoover notified Police Chief Hugh McDermott there was no match.
More clues turned up. A St. George St. man putting away his car at 4:10 a.m. saw a driver switch off the lights of his auto as he pulled onto State St. at the railroad underpass. He was positive the license was not a blue and white Ohio tag.
OTHER LEADS died out. A woman who had quarreled with her husband in a hotel at midweek and disappeared from the show was found at her home in North Carolina.
Benwood, W. Va., police were looking for a missing woman with a leg scar. A Shadyside Ave. girl who had not been seen since Friday night in a Wellsville tavern did not match the body description of "Miss X.
Cincinnati police thought she may be a missing 20-year-old girl, but she had false teeth and the slain woman's were natural.
Today, the only known traces of the victim exist within a Spring Grove Cemetery plot, on police and funeral home records and in yellowing newspaper accounts."

Can someone contact the local coroner's office or Sheriff and ask them to put this woman into NAMUS? I did some digging but couldn't find any contact info that was concrete and for sure, only stuff that was outdated. There are entries on NAMUS and the DN much older than this case, and just because this woman has gone unidentified for 79 years doesn't mean she doesn't deserve to have her name back.

TLDR; My phone account was hacked in 2018 and my online accounts were compromised. Next, My “family” illegally had me arrested to steal my online business right from under me. They continue to track my projects (e-commerce) and whereabouts. Also, My ex was an ex-cult member and I suspect there’s a correlation here as I haven’t gotten employment since. Hello, I've read online that when I sell a product through Amazon I have to pay taxes for the item on the state it was sold to (I'm aware amazon charges the customer for the taxes, but I have to make the payments to the state). At first I thought I had to register to my state and make all payments to my state no matter what state I sold to but I was wrong.
Question is how do you guys manage to do this? I find it quite a hassle to register to almost every state where amazon sells my products and they require me to report every month for those taxes even if I didnt sell any inventory to that state. Is there any software or app that makes it easier?
I heard of taxjar and it's useful but I still have to register to every state (which I'm trying to avoid to do myself because it's a hassle). They also charge like $50 for each tax payment autofiling. If you multiply that by every state where I sell its a lot.
So any advice from you guys? Thanks in advance!
