I will be blunt: im a veteran player from season 3 and i had a long pause of LoL and seeing the game right now i gotta say this: its a complete shitshow.
Arcanes? Multiverse (?) ? The end of the summoners ( us the players) yet the champions still mention us ?
What the hell happened ? I loved the lore but since they made a big retcon, i ask someone who has time to explain to me in summary what is going on?
Also, why is riot not doing nothing to entice player to get hooked on the lore? The 3 things i always see in the clients frontpage is : new skins, gamepass ( copying fortnite), and e-sport. Never a news about the lore.

Location: Australia, Pricing in AUD Greetings, fellow PC enthusiasts! I am crafting a gaming rig with the aim of achieving a seamless 1440p gaming experience, preferably at 144fps. My sights are not set on 4K gaming currently. Alongside gaming, I frequently use Unity for some side game development as a hobby, and my build should be up to the task for this as well. My allocated budget is AUD 5,500, of which AUD 4,920 has already been accounted for. While I would rather keep my spending capped at AUD 5,000, I am willing to stretch it a little further if there's a convincing performance justification. Cooling has been a point of contention in my build strategy. I am inclined towards air cooling, mainly due to its low maintenance and straightforward installation. I've read that Intel's i9 processors tend to run significantly hotter than their i7 counterparts, making them less suitable for air cooling. If this is true, then an i9 seems like a problematic choice for me. Beyond this, I am seeking a build that doesn't require regular tweaking for thermals or any such issue post-assembly. Furthermore, I find myself questioning if an AMD CPU might be a better fit for my needs, but I'm frankly lost amidst the sea of varying online advice. I'm hoping the experienced members of this sub can provide clear and concise guidance. When people ask if I've read their recommendation, or the book they wrote yet, and I say "not yet," I always feel a little bad. But here's why I haven't yet:
My TBR pile has books A, B, C, D, E, F, and your book.
After finishing book D, I've by this time made two bookstore visits and purchased books G, H, I, and J.
I add those to the TBR pile, and after finishing book D, I realize that I really want to read book J, because it's super relevant to my life right now. So I read book J next.
Then I go back to my TBR and start reading book E. Next is book F. So I still haven't gotten to your book. But it's not because I don't want to, it's because I have other books ahead of it, and have discovered new books that have moved up the queue for personal reasons.

I just started this colony and noticed that none of the colonists seem to even know each other.

Like many (most?) of you, I find Scriptnotes episode 403 to be one of the better craft lectures out there. But there's one thing Craig Mazin says on the podcast that continues to baffle me. He says (emphasis mine):

Screenplays without arguments feel empty and pointless. You will probably get some version of the following note: What is this about? ... Why should this movie exist? What is the point of all this? Now, it’s really important to note you probably don’t want to start with an argument. That’s a weird way to begin a script. Usually we think of an idea...

He defines "idea" as story idea or concept, e.g. "A fish has to find another fish who is somewhere in the ocean."
Anyway, I'm not in disagreement with this, I really just don't understand. Why is it weird to begin creating a screenplay with an argument as opposed to a story idea? Aren't story ideas naturally reliant on theme?
Anyway, if any of you nerds out there have thoughts, opinions, etc. about this, I'd be interested in hearing them.

These changes will negatively affect users, moderators, 3rd-party developers, and researchers.
Many subreddits, /guitarix included, will be protesting these changes by participating in a blackout, starting on June 12th, and lasting for 48h. I may consider further protests or actions after that date. The goal is to collectively open a dialogue with Reddit and reverse or prevent some of these changes.
During the blackout period, guitarix will be set to private. That means it will be inaccessible to all users.
This blackout will cause a temporary inconvenience to this community, but I believe that the potential long-term impacts far outweigh the short-term disruptions. And therefore, this subreddit will stand together with the other communities and moderators to send a clear message that these changes are not acceptable.
I encourage you, as users of Reddit, to reach out and let Reddit know your thoughts and how these changes will affect you.

TL; DR: can the quality and range of high-end sound systems be replicated for small (100 pax) venues at a lower cost?
Testing my understanding of Sound systems here - I've been traveling and loving the concept of listening rooms - small (max 100 pax), sound proofed venues with intimate setups around the DJ booth. Sound quality is always impeccable and Void seems to be the standard.
Are these setups only replicable with bespoke, top tier sound systems? Looking at the cost of those systems, is it not possible to replicate the audio quality and range with a series of speakers and crossovers across the audible range? E.g. A series of bass bins covering 20-300 Hz, and so on for 300 - 4 kHz, 4 - 20 kHz...
I have 2x Yamaha DBR 10s and 2x Alto TX212S which cost me less than $2'000. Any of the systems in the title cost in excess of $80'000 from what I've scouted - but for these 100 pax venues, could a scaled up or out version of what I have, or the more premium products not produce the same high-end quality and range?
Or is there something fundamental about these systems I don't understand about they work in contrast?

Does anyone else feel like their fawn trauma response makes them give off overly approachable vibes? I've been working at a museum for over a year now; it's community focused and free to enter. We get all sorts of visitors, including a lot of unhoused people, kids, tourists, etc. Because of this, it's not unusual for incidents to occur (e.g., verbal altercations, sexual harassment, etc.)
In the past year, I've been involved in nearly 4 times as many security incidents as my coworkers, ranging from inappropriate comments about my appearance to unsolicited physical contact. I've also been on the receiving end (or witnessed) some truly weird situations, such as people asking invasive questions about my spirituality, trying to recruit me to join their MLM or church, and so much trauma dumping. (Yesterday, a woman told me a detailed story about how her whole family was murdered and if she ever sees the guy who did it, she'll run him over. Situations like this happen to me so often, I barely even registered it as weird until I told my partner about it that evening.)
I am very aggressive in setting boundaries at work, but often, that doesn't solve the issue. I've been told that I'm extremely approachable, and I suspect that I just give off a vibe that draws people to me. Sometimes, this can be really great: I've had amazing conversations with visitors and establish rapport super quickly. But other times, I wish I could turn it off.

I recently left my previous job of 2.5 years as BDC in a car dealership for this position. The large dealership I worked for recently shut down their e-commerce division which includes 3 massive layoffs, and then changed my commission structure and I haven’t had a base raise since starting. This put me in a financial hardship since my income was heavily based on that original commission structure thus leading me explore other options. I had many hesitations about this recruiting offer, wasn’t too interested in what a recruiter does and couldn’t see another path to pivot to once being a recruiter, but the base pay made me feel more secured than my old job. I’m almost 2 months in and I fucking despise it. I dread going to work, I dread waking up knowing I have to go to work, I’m exceeding expectations but most time I just sit at my desk repeating “this is so stupid” or feel like banging my head on my desk. I hate sourcing and looking over peoples resume, I secretly hope my interviews don’t show up, people lie on their resumes, these companies we recruit for usually pass over most candidates. It just feels like such a waste of fucking time. This job just isn’t for me. I’m 38F, single mom of 4, ex husband is fighting child support and refuses to help me in anyway. The onset depression that I feel coming on that this job is causing is not helping me with being a good/healthy mom for my kids. Thing is…as I go back to indeed or LinkedIn, I realize how much I hate sales and just reading job descriptions for things I’m qualified for makes me even more depressed! I started in retail/sales while in college working part time but never finished school. Tried going back to finish my nursing degree about 6 years ago and that’s when I had to leave my ex and couldn’t finish. 3 semesters left and couldn’t finish. Having to work full time to pay bills doesn’t allow me to go to school for nursing but man I can’t do another 30 years working in this field, but I’m not qualified for any other jobs that pay enough to raise a family of 5. I’m burnt out and hopeless at this point. I’m not interested in tech or coding or anything involved with sitting at a computer all day. I have a ton of science credits (if they’re still valid) thought of maybe going back to school to be a science teacher… but am I too old to start a career in education? Don’t really know what else I could do or where to go from here 😩

Hey all- wondering what the best way to track my factors with the recommended "Little/Moderate/A Lot" breakdown for each. I know enhancing this particular feature is in the works to be made more complex soon, but in the meantime I wanted to know the best way to structure my inputs.
For something like alcohol, should I be choosing only one of these factors for a given day or time frame? I.e. If I drink a lot of alcohol one night, I would mark "A Lot" during that 6pm-12am timeslot, and nothing else.
OR should I also be marking the "Moderate" and "Little" factors to in the event I drink "A Lot"? Considering that if I am drinking "A Lot" then in order to get there I have to drink a little and then a moderate amount first.
I am currently 6 months into this app choosing one or the other every day, and I'm worried my data isn't as useful as it could be, since as I understand it the app is only looking at one of these factors at a time, and I may be missing out on insights on what my overall consumption is doing to my mood and symptom score. Should I go back and add the lower volume factors to my past entries to maximize accuracy?
Appreciate any help or experience you can provide here- hoping that the new updates to factors here render this point irrelevant!
