TLDR- In a moment of unresolved anger, I sent an anonymous nasty email to an ex friend (who did objectively bad things to me and those around me). However it’s been 3 years since said person did the shitty things, so now I feel bad that I reminded them about how they never apologized for their shitty behavior. Should I write an apology or just let it go?
Backstory- This ex-friend and I used to be really close. We met through our event management work almost a decade ago and since they were my junior, I took them under my wing and helped train them. I introduced them to my professional network and close friends in the industry. However, ex-friend ended up plagiarizing their portfolio from a few of my friends that I introduced them to, and then took the education I taught them for free and began to sell it as courses. Then the extra shitty stuff happened. During the 2020 BLM protests, it came out that they used the N word regularly and threatened to call the police on innocent POC. They took no accountability for this and instead deactivated all their socials. By this time, I was done with this person because of what they did to my friends, but the racism was the final straw. I wrote a really strong worded message to them, basically laying out their actions and the lack of accountability, but I never sent it. 2020 was a tough time for my mental health and I couldn’t deal with everything else that was happening.
Fast forward to 2023. This person is now quietly back in the industry, making sure to avoid the people they burned. They’re back to their same tricks with blatant lies on their website. I was already having a crap day but having this info sent to me, that this person is back doing the same bs, that really got me. So I took that email I never sent back in 2020 and sent it anonymously to them. It felt really good in that moment, but it honestly just feels like a sad grudge I am still holding over this person and the personal betrayal I feel from them. I’m working on releasing this anger, and clearly this wasn’t a productive way to deal with it.
This is the meanest thing I’ve ever done and I feel bad about it now. Should I wrote an apology? Or should I just let it go?

Intro/Summary:
I've found myself in a very fortunate position: I have a much higher salary than I anticipated when graduating (due to switching to a more lucrative career path), and with the increasing interest rates it seems to now be a no brainer to pay off my student loan in full ASAP. All considered scenarios seem to come out on top (see bottom of post for detail), with a rough 10-12 year wait until I make back the money with the saving of not making any more monthly repayments.
Simple question: Shall I do it? Thanks in advance for your time and opinions!
Context:

• Graduated 2017
• Plan 2, Loan balance of £66,360.86
• As far as I understand it, interest rate is RPI + 3% with a current cap of 7.1%. RPI announced at March applies from September onwards.
• Salary £73k base, market rate for my current role is around £85k so there's some room for immediate growth (with a job change)
• Average salary increase since starting work has been 18% (albeit that includes a career switch to a more lucrative career path, starting base at graduation was £27.5k)
• Enough money in a S&S ISA to pay off student loan in full today
• I rent and don't own any property
• Current annual repayments of around £4k

What i've considered so far:

• I've read the wiki page
• I've looked at how the interest rate is calculated
• Will I need the money soon? - No: I have money in a LISA for when I want to buy a house, I'm still pretty young, I don't plan on having a big, expensive wedding or children in the next 5 years. My dad is on the older side (some of the ISA money could be for a care home were he to fall ill and require care), but it's not an immediate pressure yet, but would be if i were making this decision in 10 years.
• Moving abroad to EU (which I will be doing 100% certain in the next 3 years) doesn't impact the repayment threshold too much.
• Overpayments without paying off in full today would just delay any benefits as i'd still be making the full annual repayments, just for a shorter time period.
• Used all the recommended calculators, ending up on this one.
• Using the repayment calculator i've done a few scenarios:

1. Conservative (3% salary growth, 3% interest rate from 2025) - Pay off loan in 2042 with total repayments of £96.6k, discounted to today would be £67.2k (>£66.3k current loan value)
2. Realistic (IMO) (7% salary growth, 6.9% interest now, 7.1% till 2026 then taper down to 5% at 2030) - Pay off loan in 2038 with total repayments of £112k, discounted to £81.4k (>£66.3k current loan value)
3. High salary, low interest (10% salary growth, 3% interest rate from 2025) - Pay off loan in 2034 with total repayments of £87.8k, discounted to today would be £69.2k (>£66.3k current loan value)
4. Low salary, high interest (3% salary growth, 6.9% interest rate from 2025) - Pay off loan in 2047 with total repayments of £137.2k, discounted to today would be £84.3k (>£66.3k current loan value)

We're going to be rolling out revised R3 and R4 wording shortly. The intent was to move away from a difficult-to-enforce rule 4 on downvoting content, and shift emphasis to post and comment quality.
/AustralianPolitics is a discussion forum, and it says as much in the sidebar, when describing the point of the community. A discussion involves conversing on a matter to facilitate an exchange of ideas. Rule 3 therefore can be seen as a means to help hold the sub to a slightly higher than average standard.
As a result, we generally frown on comments that are clearly low effort. This is, of course, subjective but the litmus test I use is; is the user actually trying to engage in the topic? Or are they just saying stuff so they can be seen to be saying stuff.
Right now the standout Rule 3 is of course, people commenting in threads about articles they have not and will not read.
There are some misconceptions so ahead of launch I wanted to clarify a few points via an imaginary Q&A type session:
Insisting on quality means every post is an essay
It actually doesn't, and this is why we go to lengths to inform users who suggest this that the emphasis is on quality not quantity. A one sentence comment can be R3 compliant, and a 2 paragraph comment can be pure soapboxing and in breach of R3.
It's trying to determine what we can and can't think as users
Again, no it's not. People are allowed to be wrong (note: I said people, so Nazis don't get this leeway). We don't have Group Think or Correct Thinking enabled. With minor exceptions, like the Higgins/Lehrmann matter, we let you have an incredibly wide range of topics on the table and views across the spectrum. Where we don't, it's because of wider and often site-wide factors that compel us to limit the conversation rather than allow it.
It's not what you think about a topic. It's how you engage with it.
Every person that's accused us of political bias or curating viewpoints has done so because their low effort comment got removed and they ignored the removal message to instead think it's censorship on their beliefs.
It ends up removing more left-leaning comments than right
Perhaps, but not by design. Auspol is probably 80%+ left leaning. In a perfectly statistically represented sample of 10 removed complaints, 8 would be left and 2, right. This is proportional to subreddit representation, and not out of any particular allegiance to any party or parties.
It stifles the sub
I would challenge any assumptions around this, by stating that without it the sub would have massive quality issues and as a result, significantly more Rule 1 issues as people got more frustrated with lazy posters.

I cannot stress enough that we don't have any desire to control (or even much of a care) what you believe. We do expect that you put an effort in around engagement and conversation. It's not about wordcount - though my favourite thing is seeing people have an automod-removed comment repost it with "adding more words so it doesn't get removed", like that'll fool us - it's about the ability of a post or comment to facilitate a discussion beyond itself.
The rules will be shared in a day or two, but ahead of them, opening the floor to commentary on Rule 3.

Been evaluating DMARC recently, and I couldn't find much information to help guide me when comparing options. So I tried to write down my thoughts in a way I would have found useful. I hope someone on here gets a bit of value out of it.
A few observations is that there is a huge disparity between bottom range vendors and top range vendors in terms of price, and that there is a corresponding disparity in terms of tool functionality and Trust-center maturity. Top tier vendors offer some cool functions, but the increase in price was hardly worth it.
Common DMARC vendor problems
Common problems among nearly all DMARC vendors we spoke to (with 1 exception) was that they all had a hard time giving us a fixed quote, claiming that they needed to run a PoC/Trial to analyze our volumes before being able to quote us. A few would provide gross estimates for us. I got a bit grossed out, because it felt like the sales reps we met with were trying to gauge how much money they'd be leaving on the table.
Bottom Tier DMARC vendor problems
The bottom tier were sketchy in terms of where support is located, where data is processed (issue especially if we collect Forensic reports) and had a difficult time answering questions on the robustness and maturity of their organizational/technical controls for whatever certifications they held. They also provided low-usability UI:s and underwhelming project management features.
One of the vendors even suggested we spin up 2 instances of their platform to manage active/inactive domains separately. I assume sales person was either a) incompetent or b) thought we had just jumped off the bus from Jokkmokk or c) the tool was horrendous.
Another consideration was that these vendors were mostly in start-up mode, and really pushed their logo-slides, indicating to me that they are desperately accumulating corporate value to become attractive acquisition targets. God forbid they'd be purchased by like DarkTrace or something.
I did a bit of quick and dirty math, and couldn't see how they were running sustainable business models. When they described their headcounts and I looked at the revenue generated with an average across their entire "we have this many customers" slide. Especially since a few of the logos these guys said were 'customers' are actually using their freemium/trial to monitor (checked with contacts at company's who were part of the logo-slides.).
These vendors cost next to nothing, but introduce a level of risk I was not happy with.
Top Tier DMARC Vendor problems
3 of the vendors we looked at fit into this category, and the prices were absolutely outrageous. As in +30x higher prices. Than the other vendors. 2 of these were more forthcoming about price estimates, and the last one did the thing where the sales rep was really shady about the pricing so we finally had enough (I found their price list through google dorks and nearly puked).
However, the 2 vendors who were more forthcoming about their prices advised us that there is a mandatory Managed Service tacked onto the DMARC tool. The managed service sounded nice (bi-weekly/monthly project calls with a consultant from their side, effectively brining our time investment down by from ~6-8h / week to ~1-4h / week, which is helpful due to backlog). But we would be unable to unsubscribe from the managed service even after achieving p=reject and just monitoring.
The vendor who's prices nearly made me puke literally had 1 unique selling point compared to peers. The ability to generate DKIM keys through their console. Helpful, sure. But it absolutely does not merit a 2x higher price than the other 2 Top Tiers. The issue I have here is that this was the vendor pushed by Microsoft, and it really got under my skin that the sales rep almost took it for granted that the business was theirs because of the recommendation by MSFT. It made me wonder how many deals these guys get for outrageous price points by buyers who don't know any better.
These vendors cost a bunch, but offer the level of risk I am OK with introducing
What did we end up doing?
One of the vendors who didn't fit into either Top Tier or Low Tier fulfilled our criteria;

1. Mature trust-center backed by good contracts, DPA:s ISO-certs and SOC-II etc. Sales rep and Engineer could speak towards various elements and were happy to make introductions to their CISO:s direct reports for more information.
2. Price point was in-between Top tier & Bottom Tier.
3. Price transparency and Predictability (They could provide prices based on # active domains + number of employees, irrespective of email volumes & sending services)
4. Managed service portion could be removed upon renewal (once every 12 months) and the price effectively goes down by 50%.
5. The sales rep was slightly less sleazy, but maybe that was because their licensing model was simpler? He was also transparent when we asked about recent negative feedback about their support.
6. UI is decent & Integrated project management section so that tasks created in other sections of the console are populated into the project management time-line and assigned to an owner.

Notes;

1. I don't want to break any policy here. So won't post a link to the price-list I found via dorks. I found it on a publicly facing governmental digital market place, published by one of the vendor's partners. Example:
   1. 3-10 Domains + <5 Sending Services scales from £17.5K / year up to 3-10 Domains + <27 Sending services for £100K / Year. And god help you if you have +50 domains.
2. Don't want to mention which vendor we went with in the end. But we got 25 Domains + Unlimited volume + unlimited sending services for ~ €12K / year.
   1. As a comparison this is 10x the price of the Low-tier vendors, and 35% of the price of the most expensive vendor (when accounting for our number of sending sources, email volume and domains)
   2. Year 1 we added on Manage Services to help with our backlog, which we plan on cutting away once p=reject can be safely activated (expected time frame ~6 months -- Which realistically means ~8 months). At this point our annual bill goes down from €18K to €12K / Year.
3. A key consideration that I found tricky before finding the vendor we went with, was trying to forecast expected email volumes since the company is planning on entering new markets, with big marketing pushes. We could have woken up one day and gotten a "true-up" call with up-to a 6x license price increase if our outbound volumes exceeded 2.5million emails. (I don't see that happening anytime soon, but I'd hate to forget about this as the company grows).
4. Getting approval for the spend was done together with marketing, and we split it 50/50. We basically asked our CMO-lite what would happen if their marketing emails went to junk-folders or were rejected outright because one of their marketing services was unaccounted for.
   1. Convo went something like:
      1. "What's your worst-case projection for this initiative?"
      2. "It's x% of target"
      3. "Okey, does that worst-case projection account for if your email marketing ends up in junk folders?"
      4. "Ye... erhh.. end up in junk folders...?"
      5. (Marketing now has a vested interest in being open about the crap they use/want to get, and CMO-lite has raised this twice with her team so far).

soooooooo, everyone who told me that being abused/assaulted would make me "great at spotting red flags" owes me 20 bucks.
i met someone back in 2020 over the web, and when they moved to my country, we became a couple, because i felt like we got along and i wanted to support them. they knew about my assault, and all my baggage, and supported me.
... except that's not the whole truth. the truth is, they fell for me first, and for two years, pursued me. i turned them down because i was scared of committing, after what i'd been through. but they kept pushing. so eventually i caved--they had nobody in this country! i didn't want them to be alone!
we ended up together, they maybe lovebombed the shit out of me in hindsight, and then it all came crashing down.
there were other red flags. twice, they'd physically assaulted their friends. at least twice that i know of. they had a laundry list of "cruel" past partners/friends. they had multiple mental illnesses that they were not getting therapy or medication for.
but for a few months, they loved me. or at least acted like it. we had sex and i only broke down crying once because the sight of blood triggered me. after everything, that was pretty incredible. they doted on me, and hugged me, and wrote me letters about how they wanted to marry me someday.
then things got weird. they started talking about other women--specifically one they met at work, who made sexual propositions towards them at least twice. these two moved in together almost immediately (my ex's housing situation was unstable and i live far away, so it logistically made sense), and began spending all their time together. they literally became just like her, in some ways.
i got jealous--especially when my ex would tell me shit like "haha so-and-so wants to get high and make out with me!" or gush about their other "workplace crushes." i have trauma from being cheated on, and i made this apparent, but they found it "hot" that i got possessive, so they... ignored my discomfort. for their own pleasure.
sounds familiar, huh? i'm not saying it's as bad as my assault was. but having my boundaries pressed on for the sake of THAT just feels so... gross.
and i let them get off on my fucking trauma responses, because hey, their life was hard.
the worst part is that we didnt even break up then. we broke up because their new roommate--the one who'd made passes at them (and me, once!)--hated me, and verbally abused me in a spontaneous confrontation while i was alone. this included misgendering me, accusing me of faking a rape flashback when i spent the night at their house, and more. it happened for hours, in the middle of the night. my family thought i'd gone missing--it was fucking traumatic.
my ex also... accused my being a bit needier than usual (gee wonder why! whatever could have triggered me!) of being abusive/controlling their behaviour, and... somehow... their roommate insisted this had given my ex dissociative identity disorder, and they now had an "alter" that was "protecting me" from them. i was a bit needy and sometimes demanding around the end of our relationship, but like...
i'm not stupid. i know that isn't how that works. maybe it was just an excuse to explain away all the texts between the two of them showing my ex being so excited to break up with me. some were even from when my ex and i were out together!
anyways. not the point. they dumped me--because even after all this mstreatment, i couldnt leave.
and it just... feels a lot like the relationship where i was assaulted. both of them just... dumped their trauma on me, used me to get off (even when it fucking hurt me), and then left when i started showing symptoms they didn't like and/or they could replace me with someone new.
i want to tell them off. but i know that's just because when i'm not angry, i start thinking about me. i start thinking about how in every romantic relationship i've been in, i just do double-duty as a therapist and a fucking fleshlight. i'm just something to use and then abandon for something better. i feel like i'm less than a person.
i hate them for making me feel like this, but i hate myself because it's becoming a pattern. please, someone help me. tell me it gets better. someone tell me i'm not replaceable and i'm not doomed to be abused by everyone. i just need to hear it from somebody.

When i was a born most of my family didn't want me cause I was a girl and my dad wasn't even there in the hospital. I was always yelled at and physically abused by them and even other relatives until we moved to Australia. I was still hit on in Australia but very less because its illegal here. I was however Verbally and emotionally abused often told that i should not exist and should just you know end things.
I had to even look after my younger brother who is 5 years younger than me when I was 8 years old. He was loved amd trusted by my parents. He could do no wrong in their eyes. If he ever did something wrong he would blame it on me and my parents would always say your his older sister it was your responsibility your mistake. I could even go our with friends because I had to look after him until I was 16 years old. I couldn't go out with my friends in high school because who will look after him whilst my parents worked. I couldn't even hang out with them when my brother was in high school. Whilst my brother got to go out with friends and do whatever he wanted and got what he wanted.
It was not only that I did not have any toys or phone, I only got things that I needed. My brother got everything he wanted and even love from my parent. He belonged in the family, he was wanted in the family. My parents would often say if anything went wrong that it was my fault. They would say that I shouldn't exist. I bottled everything up. Because of this I still go through severe depression.
My parents recently asked why I don't talk to my brother or them. I normally say I am busy but then all my bottled emotions burst and said everything about they treated me. That I only existed for them when they needed me to look after him or blame me when anything went wrong. They said I should be grateful and that I am in my life where I am because of them. They sent me to school, gave me food, gave me things I needed like books and pens to get the education I needed. That I should be grateful to them and my brother agreed with them. Then my mum comes and says that if she was such a horrible parent and made me feel like that then she was sorry and to forgive her. I said nothing.
But I don't think I can forgive her or my dad or my brother. I will never have that relationship I wanted and it's too late to say sorry because it doesn't fix the damage. It doesn't get rid of the pain.

Hi guys, we all know teaching is full on but I strive to have a balance and set clear boundaries between work and home life. I really try hard to leave work at work. I also plan well and get most of my marking done during work hours. However recently we had exams and the management team only gave us 5 working days after the exams ending and our marks had to be entered into the master spreadsheet. I questioned this as I felt it was not enough time and they told me that we had two weekends also. I feel strongly that management should not plan the schedule to include weekends. If we want to work on weekends it is a choice but they shouldn’t be planning their timelines by counting these days. If they felt we needed 9 days then this should be 9 ‘working’ days. What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

What's the plan?

On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
What can you do?

1. Complain. Message the mods of reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
2. Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join us at our sister sub at ModCoord - but please don't pester mods you don't know by simply spamming their modmail.
3. Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!

taiwan mod response: We're very supportive of joining this effort and the community here seems to be as well judging from the threads we've had on it so we're joining it.
Our perspective is that in general many subreddit mods spend their labor to making Reddit a better place (not always of course lol but in general), and do it without compensation, and without recognition for the daily amount of spam, harassment, and extremely rude people they deal with. taiwan itself has grown like crazy in terms of size and member growth (when I joined we'd be lucky to get 50 new members a day, now it's 10 times that daily easily).
As the size of subreddit has grown the complexity of moderating has not really scaled properly with it. taiwan isn't a default sub but we get a lot of attention due to the widespread attention from the geopolitical situation and being a travel hub. Use of 3rd party apps is therefore basically a given here. The healthy 3rd party app ecosystem is precisely what makes Reddit so awesome.
And threatening access to this will affect many. Reddit also puts out new features which has not really helped us either (modding through the official app is unfun to say the least). Now some people reading this might not care about the situation, we just hope you understand us more.

I (26m) just found out that the love of my life married someone else a few months ago.
I met the love of my life when I was in college about 6 years ago. When I first saw her, I literally looked up and thanked god. To make a long story short, we had a great relationship for 2 years. I knew a couple of weeks in that I loved her and wanted to marry her.
The relationship ended in part due to me developing post concussion syndrome, which affected my ability to feel emotions and make decisions. However, I didn’t know at the time that I had post-concussion syndrome, and wouldn’t realize until a few months after the breakup, when I developed 24/7 migraines. I still have 24/7 daily migraines today. It’s been about 4.5 years of chronic pain. I’ve had to battle for everything in my life since then - getting to a point where I could work full time, depression caused by the pain, getting into grad school, and now working full time again. Every day is hell, and I don’t enjoy life, but I fight on.
She’s the primary reason I’ve been able to survive this disability and still succeed to some extent. I tried a couple times to reconnect, and for the most part she was never interested. But I never told her how I feel. That I still love her. That I still dream of her. I had this fantasy that I could win her back if only I could get better. If only I could get back to where I was. I’ve fought so hard and I finally felt like I’m close to a place where there could be some hope of me being ‘good enough’ to take my last and final shot at reconnecting.
So I checked her Facebook to see how she’s doing. Well, great apparently, because she’s married.
I used to be proud of myself for getting to where I am despite my disability. Now I’ve realized that I failed myself. I play video games. I have few friends. I am lonely and in pain and just try to pass the time to get through the day. My fantasy of reconnecting was my motivation for fighting to succeed through my disability. And I never even told her her how I feel.
I think tonight is the either (1) the motivation I need to look at myself objectively, not through the eyes of a victim suffering from a disability and improve myself or (2) the night I really just give up. Maybe tonight is the night I learn how to fight for myself, not others.

Sooo why the fuck.. am i leaving a friends house… I go to the gas station like 5 mins away from my house and it was this boy (prolly like 17, 18) and his pretty white pit bull INSIDE the station… i walk up but was about to walk away cuz im scared of big dogs… so i walk back to my car and the boy is like “nahh u ok.. hes good” so i go in…the dog is cool, smells me and keeps movin…thenn a man walks up behind me to go in and the dog GOES OFF… like crazy… The boy ended up holding the dog by the skin of his neck cuz he doesnt have a collar for him.. He looked so defeated… so does “RED” (his dogs name).
So me.. i remember i have hella extra dog stuff.. i tell him wait 5-10 mins while i run home to grab some things… I go home get a collar that i bought that was wayy too big for one of my babies, a leash, dog food, dog treats, bottled water and dog bowls & take it back to the gas station.. Along with a lil money for the boy..
To my surprise he didnt leave.. he took it and thanked me… put the collar on Red and the dog drank the water like he was so thirsty… he thanked me again and i left feelin full.. it felt good that i could help
Now im here sad cuz i wish i could help MORE….. like i know i cant… i am far from rich… Im just here trying to get it for myself… This made me realize why ppl get tired, and depressed, although their life doesnt seem bad from the outside..TO ME

Note: I am a 16 year old female and live in Australia.
I will basically just note down the main points, feel free to ask questions in the comments.

• My interview lasted 5 minutes. The assistant restaurant manager asked me very simple questions (describe your self in 3 words, what school do you go to, what year are you in, whats your favourite and least favourite subject and why, why do you want to work at mcdonald’s, and whats your availability). I wore all black clothing.
  
• I got the acceptance email the same day (I done the interview at 4pm and I got accepted at 9pm)
  
• My orientation lasted around 2.5 hours and we just did online modules which took around 1.5 hours for me to complete. I also filled out documents about my personal information (address, number, TFN etc) I wore all black and so did the other people. I got paid for the orientation.
  
• My first training week was on fries, I got 2 training shifts then one actual shift. I got trained for dining & fries during this week.
  
• My second training week was on front counter, I got 2 training shifts for front counter then one actual shift at the end of the week.
  
• My third training week was on drive thru. I got 2 training shifts for drive thru and one actual shift at the end of the week. All training shifts were paid for.
  
• My drive thru trainer told me that after training we will only get shifts on fries for a few months, then we will only get shifts on front counter for a few months, then we will get drive thru shifts for a few months.
  

Additional notes:

• A very common question they would ask you is “why do you want to work at mcdonald’s” so I recommend preparing an answer for that beforehand.
  
• You don’t need to worry too much about your interview, theres a lot of turnover in fast food restaurants so they usually hire 10-15 people a month. In my case, they hired 6 people in the same week.
  
• I recommend checking out Stephen Patula on youtube because he has a lot of videos of himself working at mcdonald’s so you can see what kind of tasks they do, how to make and prepare the food and kind of what it’s like to work in the fast food industry.
  
• I was worried about learning the register and the menu so I kind of familiarised myself with the different menus (breakfast, lunch, happy meals, dinner boxes, mccafe menu etc) and what foods go in each menu. This helped me when learning the register.
  
• Fries is the easiest station to learn. Front counter might seem stressful in the beginning because you’re learning a lot of tasks at once but the more you do it the easier it gets. Honestly front counter is really fun for me now. Drive thru is probably the easiest station for me now.
  
• Drive thru person does the cashier job using a headset. At my restaurant, they also prepare (not cook) the hotcakes and wipe the walls when its not busy. Drive thru person will also occasionally help out on front counter and bring might bring the orders to the cars in the waiting area.
  
• When I first started I thought I wasn’t gonna last there because it was a bit stressful multitasking but I promise it gets easier. If you’re new you’re allowed to make mistakes! my trainer said it took her 2-3 months to learn the register and she is now a trainer so if you’re struggling do not worry, you will get it eventually.
  
• My trainer said once you get used to everything and you’re good at every station you were trained in you can ask them to train you on McCafe if that’s something that interests you.
  
• The most important thing to remember for your interview is to be confident, sit up straight, use hand gestures and don’t touch your hair or face. If you’re nervous it’s okay, just try your best and don’t overthink the negative stuff.
  
• I got paid for every shift (including training & orientation)
  
• The floors are wet so you must have non slip shoes. In terms of what to wear to your interview/orientation, I just wore a black button up and black pants, for orientation I wore a black long sleeve and black pants.
  
• If you plan on working long term (6 months+) it’s probably a good idea to make good friends there. Personally the crew members make every shift worth it! to make friends you just have to make an effort of talking to the team. In my store everyone gets along so well and they mess around a bit even near the managers (joking around, singing, casually chatting etc) You just have to make an effort to make friends.

A lot of players have expressed concerns about the new perk "Made for This" being too strong, and I think this is more caused by an issue that has became more and more noticeable as new perks are introduced.
Speed effects stack with each other and It's an issue.
This mechanic not only makes those perks exploitable but also hinders the creation process of new perks due to combinations making the game unplayable for M1 killers.
Speed has always been one of the strongest effects in the game, this is why the higher the speed boost the harder it is to get/keep, but having them stack makes those limitation pretty irrelevant because of how strong is the result and how similar a lot of activation conditions are.
I think it's time to change that and finally remove the ability to stack speed.
My idea for this is simple, make only the highest speed boost apply at a time.
Meaning if you have both 3% and 5% speed boosts you'll only have 5% apply, same thing with exhaustion perks if you happen to use sprint burst with those 2 speed boosts you'll run at 150% and then go back at 105% once SB ends.
This should solve the issue of exploiting speed perks and allow for easier and more proper balance of perks related to speed while making the life of regular M1 killers easier
Of course perks like PWYF are an exception to this, they should stack with themselves since it is the intended purpose of the perk BUT they shouldn't stack with others either.

A similar topic I wanna talk about is bloodlust.
This mechanic was first introduced to counter infinites, but I think a lot of issues came with it along the way:
- A lot of the maps / tiles /chaining tiles aren't getting as much attention as the should and properly addressed because bloodlust is acting as a band aid fix.
-BL is also the reason the stackable speed hasn't been really looked on by devs since it counters it to some extent (again a band-aid).
-BL is a big reason as to why under powered M1 killers aren't looked at properly because guess what? It's also a band aid to not have to worry about them too much.
- BL is rewarding new/bad players for playing poorly.
Just like I said earlier speed is one of the strongest effects in the game, rewarding bad plays with it is just overly counter productive.
A consensus in this community is that the game tends to be more killer sided the lower the MMR and more survivor sided the higher the MMR. Meaning that new killer players are getting an overly strong effect for doing the wrong things essentially giving both and unfair advantage and also greatly hindering their learning curve.
We also have the issue of some killers not actually looping anymore instead of going for mind games or using their power in a smart way, they will just hold W until they get the hit, but on top of that it creates a boring gameplay was there basically is no real interaction between survivor and killer and is just a "holding w" competition.

Of course, not all BL is bad for the game BL1 is perfectly balanced IMO it gives a little help in the struggling moments without being overly powerful and winning you chases for free.
Devs have announced that they intend on properly balance maps, and once they finally decide to remove stackable speed it should be time for BL (at least 2 and 3) to go. And for D tier killers to finally get the balance changes they deserve.
Because for now it's hindering the balancing of the game by acting like a band aid for most major issues killers have to deal with.
I really wanna hear your thoughts about all of this.
I might have forgotten to mention some arguments because I'm writing this in a hurry.
Also english isn't my main language so there might be lots of typos and parts hard to understand.

I just finished the book and honestly, I went in with not super high expectations. I do enjoy a good ol' retelling of a classic fairytale but sometimes they can get a bit boring and overdone. But hoh boy not this one!! Maren and Ramsay are a delight!!!
I thought that this would feature your typical harmless mermaids but boy was I ecstatic to see that Maren wasn't a mermaid; she's a siren. She tears at flesh and muscle and consumes organs and all that good stuff and Ramsay is enthralled. I love it when a man gets hot for a woman who could kill him lmao. Now this is an enemies to lovers I can get behind.
I'm always concerned about whether or not there's a power imbalance when I go into a dark romance . I know that's one of the major tropes that is present in most dark romances and that's what drives their relationship forward but I prefer reading the twisted tales with partners who actually have equal footing. It makes the character interactions much juicier in my opinion and allows for a true bond of trust to form between two characters much more naturally. That said, Ramsay revealing he and most of his crew are vampires and Maren gaining a portion of her syren strength back after her sister died did really level out any potential power imbalances and I actually whispered to myself, "Wow they really are equals." And they both find that hot as hell.
I also like that it's a story about revenge and learning to let go of that all consuming rage and controlling it in order to properly fuel your decisions. I think one of the loveliest scenes (now don't judge me for this) is when Ramsay gently coaxes Maren into cutting him up and slashing at his flesh in order to release the rage she has pent up inside of her due to his leaving her after feeding on her for the first time and not returning, as well as mercy killing her sister. The moment after she realizes what she let her rage do to the man she was gaining affection for and was wholeheartedly trying to protect her instead of abusing her like the prince, she breaks down and wonders if she can even continue living off that rage for the rest of her life. And when Ramsay returns to her, she delicately touches his face, apologizes, and asks if it hurts. I just thought it was a beautiful, vulnerable moment for her since she no longer had her rage to shield herself behind.
The spicy scenes were plentiful after about halfway through and they're quite well written. Not the most explicit I've read but definitely on the more explicit side if you're not used to reading with extra spice.
The story itself actually runs a lot longer than I expected; about 100+ more pages than I'm used to in most romance books I've read recently, but it didn't feel like it was dragging. Karina Halle did an amazing job with the world building and the flow of the story felt easy to follow without getting lost in its environment.
Definitely be careful if you have an issue with heavy gore, violence, and abuse. The author did a lovely thing and listed a bunch of trigger warnings in the beginning of the book so you're prepared for what the story contains and none of the content shocked me because she took care to list those tws before you even start.
I can probably rate this a 4.5/5. It's not quite perfect because I wish we could have gotten a bit more closure over what happened to the rest of Maren's family but I'm glad the book ended the way it did. I enjoyed it very much and intend on buying a physical copy for my library!

Its like any other day in the violent streets in Yeongdeungpo. The Union is growing at a notoriously fast rate, and it's suddenly popped on Charles radar. He orders Gun to go and take care of it, and just in case he needs help(lol), he brings Goo.

The Monster Duo orders chicken and sits and waits for it to arrive.
Meanwhile Teddy comes and brings it out. "Here's your chick-!"
He stops in his tracks almost instantly. Being a fighting maniac himself, he can almost instantly recognize strong people by their aura. And the aura that these men were radiating were off the charts.
He goes back and tells Gerard, "Hey, those two guys out there... do you know them?"
Gerard takes a look and says "No. they look like businessmen. Where are they from?"
"Don't know" Teddy states. "They're giving me really, REALLY bad vibes."
Gun and Goo discuss the objective. "The Union is a multifaceted organization that has taken control over all of Yeongdeungpo. They have schools like Ganghak, Yoosun, Daehyon, and Hyongshin under their control, along with their respective leaders." Gun states.
"Sort of like the 4 major crews? What a bunch of copycats."
"Be alert. Apparently all of the schools were united together and they all work under one man: Donald Na.
"He sounds strong."
"We'll have to go see for ourselves."
Gun and Goo leave Tteokbokki Chicken and start their venture to look for the Union. Gerard and Teddy overhear their conversation. "They're going after the Union?!?!? Are they crazy?!?" Teddy tells Gerard.
"They must have some ulterior motive for taken them down. Even so, just the two of them?" Gerards responds. "I've got a bad feeling about this. We should tell the gang."

Back at Eunjang, Rowan and Alex are sparring again, with Ben spectating. Gray is stuydiing with Eugene when suddenly gets a text.
Eugene states, "Some guys are here to destroy the Union?"
Ben and Alex eyes widen once they figure it out. Gray stops studying and listens. They all agree to meet with Teddy and Gerard.
Outside of Eunjang, They all meet up and talk about it. Teddy describes the two as tall, has glassses on, one is blonde and the other has black hair. Ben looks behind him and says "Is it those two?"
Surely enough, Gun and Goo are making their way to Hyongshin. Gun tells Goo "We should thank Kouji for sending us the coordinates of the schools. This makes things easy."
As they approach the front door, Hyoengshin students are flooding the streets. Grape sees them and says "who the fuck are y-"
Gun kicks him through the front door and he shatters through it. As he struggles to breathe, the rest of the students start rushing him.
Forrest is upsatirs and he hears all the commotion going on he rushes downstairs and witnesses something diabolical.
Gun runs through the students like play dough, swatting his arm back and forth and sends the students flying all over the place. He grabs a student and launches him at Forrest.
Forrest gets up and enraged, throws a wild punch at Gun.
Gun catches his fist and glares at him. "This school is too weak." he clenches his fist harder. "WAY too weak."
Forrest looks into his eyes and realizes with horror there's nothing there. Just pure, black malice.
I.... need to let the others know...about this monster. He thinks to himself.
Gun pulls Forrest towards him and hits him with a body shot that sends him flying up into the second floor of the building. He blasts through it, bleeding and unconscious.
"Sheesh! that's gotta hurt!" Goo exclaims.
"...That takes care of Hyongshin." Gun says. Next up is Yoosun."
As the duo departs, Eunjang watches in horror at the massacre they just witnessed.
Alex turns at Ben. "Ben.... what do we do?"
Bens face is shadowed with fear. "...What can we do?"
Ben hasn't seen anything like this before. Even when he was going against Donald Na, the difference in abilities and power wasnt this big.

They go to Yoosun. word has gotten around how Gun and Goo have arrived on the scene. Jimmy talks with Donald on the phone.
"I heard there's these two men running around wrecking everything."
"Yes. they've already got Forrest."
"Hmm. Interesting. it seems like even after all this time, we still have ants running around tying to capitalize on the castle. Stay on guard."

Donald talks with Kingsley. "Could they be from Mapo?" Kingsley says.
"No. Changhuis too prideful to go against our agreement like this. It has to be some outside source."
"Gather every executive and have them meet me at Yeoinaru."
"Understood."

Gun and Goo barge into Yoosun and starts no-diffing everyone without any problems. Jimmy comes along and attempts to sneak attack Gun.
Goo intercepts and throws a rock at him, which leaves a scar on his face.
Jimmy says, "I've heard about you guys. Guys who think they are the shit. Just wait... Ill crush you into a pulp!"
Jimmy charges at Goo and starts hitting him. Goo laughs and take everything he has with a smile on his face. "You're a feisty one, aren't ya?!?
Jimmy is baffled why none of his attacks are even fazing him. Is he like Wolf? No....even stronger. Much much stronger.
Goo then trips Jimmy and slams his knee into his face. As Jimmy attemps to get up, Goo appears behind him and chops the back of his neck.
As Jimmy loses consciousness he thinks to himself, Could Jake or Donald.....even beat these two.?
"Well that was annoying. But Yoosuns down!"
"So that just leaves Ganghak and Dahyeon... those guys are the stronger parts of the Union. Wolf Keum and Jake Ji."
"This is taking too long. I wanna watch "The Adventures of JoonGoo the swordfighter!" "There's gotta be an easier way to do this."
"If we go straight to the Union's office, we should find Donald Na. It's in Yeoinaru. Wolf and Jake would probably be there too, since word spread fast."
"Alright. let's go there."
So the two head for Donald Na.

At the office, Jake, Wolf and the Mok-Ha Duo are with Donald, discussing orders.
"They really took down Jimmy and Forrest." Wolf states. "That means they're no pushovers."
"Right." Jake says. "It's been a while since we had any sort of challenge. This could be interesting."
"ARGH, WHO CARES?!?! Dongha shouts. LETS JUST BEAT THEM TO DEATH ALREADY!"
"Quiet."

Donalds voice made everybody pipe down.

There's knocking on the door. Kingsley opens it, and to their surprise, its Eunjang.
"What are you doing here?" Donald asks.
Ben speaks up. "We know about the men who've been causing damage to all of Yeongdeungpo."
"They're really strong. Not even you could handle them by yourself."
"So why are you helping us then?"
Gray speaks up. "Chances are they're here to take over as some sort of new dictatorship. We just want to protect Eunjang."
"Hmm....Alright, White Mamba. Think of this as a temporary alliance of the Union and Eunjang."
So the Union and Eunjang work together to attempt to stop Gun and Goo."
Attempt.
While that got settled, There's a loud BOOM outside the building. Ruckus continues until a fodder comes flying through the door.

"Hey."
As the steam settles, two men with glasses come out of the frame.
Gun locates him and says, "You must be Donald Na."
Donald glares at Gun and says. "....This is quite the mess you've made. Do you really think you guys can handle the consequences?"
Gun smiles and takes off his glasses. "Well let's find out."

Meanwhile, Goo and Wolf are just getting started.
"What's up with your hair? are you a mushroom or something?"
Wolf says nothing.
1...2....3.
He socks Goo in the face.
He grabs him and attempts to take him into the abyss.
FACE! FACE! FACE!

After enough punches, Goo's glasses break. he kicks Wolf off him.
"This is so fucking irritating." "Who said you could break my glasses?"
All of a sudden, Goo sees a chair leg sitting around. He eerily walks toward it.
Gerard and Gray and Alex go and help Wolf, who starts to feel the danger.
But it didn't matter how many people helped Wolf.

Goo, bleeding and smiling, says to him,
"I think you need to be taught a lesson."
In about 3 seconds, he instantly dismantles Wolf blitzing him in angles that he couldn't comprehend. He turns around and does the same to Alex and Gerard. Gray realizes that he can't analyze Goo at all, and it's too late before Goo appears above him and kills him with one blow.

Meanwhile, Ben, Jake, Teddy, all attack Gun at the same time, which does nothing. Gun then Aikido flips all of them at once, sending them to the air. Jake gets up and starts fighting Gun, who isn't impressed by his skills at all. Teddy then grabs Gun from behind and him and Jake attempt to hold him still while Ben charges up a superpunch. Gun leans down and does a capoeira kick counter, then proceeds to twist his body and simultaneously take out everyone.
He appears before Donald.
"Looks like no one can save you know. You run a good crew, but it's time for you to go."
Donald attempts to attack Gun using a throat punch, and Gun uses Kyokushin-style strike to instantly crush Donald. He dies.
Gun and Goo meet up in the middle.
"They had a good crew." Gun said. "In any other circumstance, I would've taken them in and trained them."
"Eh, whatever." "Goo says." "Let's Go!"

And so Gun and Goo leave the dismantled Union.
