ever since i can remember i have had an ache in my chest. maybe it was my dad or maybe it's just apart of who i am. i thought maybe this was my year, and it was for awhile but i just ended up here again. in my bed at 2am writing to strangers instead of those in my life. i've never had a moment of peace. maybe i'm exaggerating. sometimes with the right people i'll forget about it all only to go back to that house i can't quite call home. it gets better sometimes and worse others but i think it's especially bad this time around and i'm not sure why. i don't know, maybe i'm the problem? that would explain why this shroud of shit follows me everywhere. i want to be happy, i really do. i know i used to just feed my depression and anxiety cause it was all i knew but now i'm really trying. i clean my room everyday, i shower, i brush my teeth but i don't do my homework, i still haven't gotten my license, i cancel interviews almost every time. i take care of myself but i do nothing for me. my birthday is in ten days and i have no plans. id love to do something but money is tight and people are busy. i've been in therapy on and off my whole life and it's helped somewhat it's probably my fault for not being completely honest. it's just too scary to let someone know me like that. how can she know why i do the things i do when i, myself, couldn't tell you? i think i've been close to happiness. maybe i almost got there before my state made me illegal. i cant even enjoy my teen years because i'm always at the doctor or worrying about my medicine being taken away. + i have to heal from my childhood. except, i'm also addicted to drugs and am only hurting myself more. i don't think i've ever admitted that out loud. i keep considering relapsing back into my eating disorder because i miss the sense of control. everything is just so messy nowadays. people have always told me they admired how chill & go with the flow i am but it's probably because i just do not care about my life and what happens in it. i love my best friend & girlfriend but i am much too sad to be anything for them. i sincerely hope i can make things better for myself but maybe this is just who i am and will ever be. i miss my mom.

The Australian has reported Ms Higgins and her partner David Sharaz planned with journalist Lisa Wilkinson and her producer Angus Llewellyn to recruit friendly politicians to pursue their case, naming Mr Albanese, Finance Minister Katy Gallagher and Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek as potential allies.

Wilkinson? The one who couldn't stop talking about this case but didn't mention anything about any of the named Labor members.
Also apparently it requires 3 Labor members to 'pursue the case' and not say the prosecutor who was in fact pursuing the case.
Oh and its from the Australian so pretty clear its a lie we know that, but it then gets reported on by the ABC. Why? When there are 100's of other political topics to cover today they chose this one.

In text messages between the couple, published by The Australian, Mr Sharaz claims that Mr Albanese gave him his number and offered to fly to Canberra to meet Ms Higgins and that Senator Gallagher was "really invested", with Ms Higgins suggesting they "feed everything" to the senator so that she could grill the government at senate estimates.

Two word quotes. Why bother even quoting if you're going to cut away so much. Worse its then surrounded by the journalists framing...
These are text messages, surely they aren't that long you couldn't have put the whole text message in right? If not maybe a paragraph?

The ABC has not seen the text message conversations, which came from material produced during the investigation of Bruce Lehrmann over Ms Higgins' claim.

So who the fuck are you quoting then?
They could have taken the opportunity here to point out how dubious these claims are from the Australian given how little material its made from, but alas, all Australian journalists work for Murdoch in some fashion.
So did they ask Mr Sharaz or Ms Higgins about these claims? From reading the article it doesn't look like they or anyone has. In fact Sharaz isn't even mentioned after the texts paragraph, Higgins is only mentioned in regards to the case. There isn't even a 'we asked them but they haven't responded at time of writing'...
If we accept the dubious notion that Albanese did give them his number, for the purposes of pursuing the case then wouldn't any texts from Mr Sharaz to Albo likewise come up in the investigation? These texts supposedly did.

Mr Albanese flatly denied coordinating with Ms Higgins to The Australian, and told reporters he had full confidence Senator Gallagher had acted appropriately.
While it is commonplace for journalists to discuss issues of policy with politicians, the concern in this case is whether politicians weaponised a potentially criminal matter for political gain.

Uh, yeah the coalition & media partners have definately weaponised this criminal matter for political gain, seems like the ABC didn't want to be left out.

"I think there are a lot of questions that need to be answered," Mr Dutton said.
"The prime minister obviously has to front up and provide a true factual explanation of what's going on here because there are differing accounts."

Oh Dutton... please never change... because its destroying all popularity of your party!
I suppose we should analyse this, well its pretty clear there's a very flawed 'account' by the Australian that if the account were true it would be easily referable to the NACC, no signs that's happening. Even though:

The opposition has also challenged the government's decision to settle a compensation claim by Ms Higgins, without her former bosses Michaelia Cash and Linda Reynolds being able to participate.
Senator Reynolds said she would consider referring that issue to the National Anti-Corruption Commission when it begins operating next month.

They clearly know the NACC exists.
But the biggest WTF from this article is:

Independent MP Dai Le said she was not satisfied with the government's answers so far.
"This is politics, right, and the opposition, now the government, will be always looking for things to use as a weapon against the government of the day," Ms Le said.

What the fuck does she have to do with any of this?
As if to imply only Labor has been doing this... When from the outset the LNP & media have done their utmost to try and destroy Higgins.

Smoked for 3 hours at 180 degrees till 120 degrees then slapped on the million degree propane grill to get the char and to 135 degrees. Didn’t get picture of the meat in the tacos cause it was so good we just didn’t think about it. But this is my new favorite way to make steak tacos. Last Sunday about 5 pm, I went by the market/swap meet that sets up at the Tahoma Vista shopping center at E 72nd & Portland Ave on weekend afternoon/evening. This is the strip mall with Big Lots and Grocery Outlet. It was huge with lots of vendors, all kinds of fun snacks (elotes, fruit sundae things) and Mexican food. Someone was grilling smoky chicken. I stopped at a stand advertising genuine Oaxacan style dishes ("The Real Tlayuda!" said the sign) and got something called a Picadita, omg so delicious. They took a lump of fresh masa, flattened it out into a 10" tortilla, and cooked it on a griddle. Topped with shredded chicken and string cheese, and crumbled cotija and lots of shredded lettuce. The tortilla was so good, hot and fluffy but crispy around the edges. Highly recommend checking this place out, folks are selling vegetables as well, from Yakima by the looks of them, all looked ripe and good.

On the 8th and 9th of June 2013 aka, The Queen's Birthday long weekend. Triple J held another all time Hottest 100 celebrating the music that came out between 1993 and 2012. The years that the Hottest 100 was running it's yearly countdown. What came of it was an incredible stretch of iconic banger after iconic banger spread across two days. 100-51 on Saturday and 50-1 on Sunday. It even gave voters a redemptive moment in finally giving tracks like Naive,Hallejulah, Banquet, Around The World and Sweet Disposition the countdown placements they deserved but never got in their respective years.

What memories to associate with this countdown. I remember I was a couple of weeks out from my trial HSC exams and I was half studying but couldn't really pay attention due to how good the countdown was.

I've recently been trying to eat more healthily. I've been gluten-free for years, I'm just now also trying to focus on upping my consumption of traditionally healthy foods, i.e. fruits & veggies.
I bought a bunch of fruit and ate a couple pieces of it with a meal (apple, orange, pear), then felt sick. All of the food was certified GF (and was stuff that I'd eaten before safely) besides the fruit.
While looking at the labeling on the fruit bags, I saw that the fruit claimed to be coated in food-grade wax. After some searching on the net about this topic, I haven't been able to find much other than that there are apparently some wheat wax coatings used in the food industry.
Has anyone else heard of/run into this being a potential problem or had bad experiences with it?
