2023.06.08 11:24 Captaincardbord Xbox One controller loses connection to wireless stick midgame and can't reconnect to it afterward
Hi, I played Elden Ring with some friends and the controller loses its connection spontaneously and refuses to connect back to it. One piece of info I have is that the stick was unusually hot because it sits on the back of the blowout fan and we already played for some time so, I perhaps broke something which is the only guess I have.
The adapter still shows up in the device manager and starts blinking when pressing the button and the controller still works on its own when connected to my cable. Also couldn't connect both when using the stick on my laptop and trying to pair them there (perhaps some local problem?)
I tried several bugfixes:
- Wireless adapter for Windows sleep settings
- Delete the driver, restart, and connect them anew
- Airplane settings
- different USB slots
- update controller software with the accessory software(they were up to date)
- using normal batteries instead of the battery pack
The only thing I can think of is that I fried it not sure what other fixes I can try. So I'm open to suggestions :)

2023.06.08 10:53 BatWolf985 [PS4] Help?
I'm new to duping in DS3, I learned it existed in Elden Ring and C** Dungeon in Bloodborne, but this was after beating the entire series. I'm on my newest and want to make myself OP but I don't know what to do or how to do it. I dont have much but I can hunt and mule if you'd like. I mostly just want souls/embers/shards/etc.

2023.06.08 10:52 3amTacobell Internet connection gets REAL slow with Elden Ring?
My internet is fine, fast and stable. I can play every other game perfectly fine- i can play Souls games without issues, watch Youtube without issues, up- and download files without issues. Until Elden Ring starts. It takes the game ~3 tries 2 minutes each to connect to the game's server. After that, online play is not possible due to constant disconnects or general connection issues. Uploading or downloading safefiles takes over 5 minutes. Only in this game, and no other. Am i the only one having issues there?

2023.06.08 10:48 josefjson A critique of Clozer's Syndra in LCK (LSB vs DK)
Listen, I know I'm not a pro player in LCK, (I'm silver), but seriously Clozer's Syndra build vs Dplus was so weird. This is not meant as hate on Clozer. I like him and he's by far the best player in his team. I've seen this kind of item path before, it usually doesn't go well for the Syndra and I wonder why they do it?
Runes
Primaries: First Strike, Perfect Timing, Biscuit Delivery.
These rune make sense to me considering this is a pro game. You will easily be able to proc FS against Annie. Stopwatch is super meta in pro play since if used correctly it can turn a teamfight. Biscuits don't seem necessary if you instead go for Manaflow Band and again you will be able to hit Annie with abilities, why else go FS in the first place?
Secondaries: Second Wind, Overgrowth.
Ok, this doesn't make sense to me. Like, how is this going to really help a Syndra? You are playing vs ANNIE, not Xerath, Viktor or Lux which could poke you. Is it because of Tibbers? Could someone explain these runes on a SYNDRA vs ANNIE lane?
Quickly, I'll mention that ShowMaker chose Manaflow Band and Scorch as secondaries which honestly make more sense to me.
Items
Ok, this is where it gets really weird to me.
Starters: Corrupting Pot
He already has Biscuits, and now he needs even more Mana/Health vs Annie? Personally, I hate not having the extra dmg on AA + extra AP from Doran's Ring for farming so maybe I'm a bit biased.
1st recall @ 04:03: Doran's Ring, Boots, Control Ward.
Wait, now he needs even more Mana regen this early in the game? Also this delays his item so much. Forget fighting over Rift Herald/Dragon or even Scuttle Crab at this point.
2nd Recall @ 6:30: Mercury's Treads
Ok, what?! Why is he buying T2 boots first in an Annie lane where you can't dodge any stuns? They even have a Vi jgl. More delay for his dmg. How is he going to get ANY gold from FS with this item path?? ShowMaker buys just Ionian Boots of Lucidity which makes perfect sense as he has to dodge skill shots in his lane.
3rd Recall @ 10:54: Lost Chapter, Amplifying Tome
Lost Chapter is absurd gold value right now so it's a good buy on Syndra but why didn't he just build that right away then?
4th Recall @ around 12:15 (they were showing a replay): Fiendish Codex
This is where the enemy team comp comes into play. They have one tank, Sion. Is it really necessary to build Liandrys against one tank when you sacrifice so much burst against the other 4 champions? Syndra is a BURST MAGE. After he has delayed his mythic this much, Liandry's starts to make more sense but it still makes him largely useless against most of the enemy team.
Death @ 15:15: Liandry's Anguish
At this point ShowMaker has already had his Hextech Rocketbelt (same cost) for about 50 seconds and has already used it twice vs champions even though he was DOWN 200 IN GOLD.
After this Clozer builds Void Staff which I guess makes sense if you've already built Liandry's, but now you really won't deal any damage for the rest of the game. LSB lose the game and Syndra deals 10k dmg in 30 min.
In the LPL and MSI, Knight always goes Sorcerer's Boots and Luden's and he has a crazy WR on Syndra.
What do you guys think?

SEPIC design, based on TI Webbench When Q1 is a CSD19534Q5A (100V, 10A continuous drain at Ta=25degC, https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/csd19534q5a.pdf), the circuit works. However, when it was replaced with a BSC340N08NS3 (80V, 7A continuous drain at Ta=25degC, https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/BSC340N08NS3G_rev2.6.pdf), the node on the second inductor side of the coupling capacitor is hardly excited, and fails to bootstrap the converter. As can be seen in the second set of traces, there is insufficient "kick" happening... which means it won't conduct through D2 and build up the output voltage. But what I'm particularly puzzled by is the apparent direction of the waveform when the FET is first turned on (see orange Trigger markers). In the working circuit, the blue trace dips below ground as the FET side of the coupling capacitor drops from Vin to ground, and when the FET is turned off, the blue trace spikes back up (before ringing). In the failing circuit, the blue trace spikes up when the FET is turned on, when I expect it to drop. Moreover, when the FET is turned off, the blue trace dips down. This is opposite of what I would expect. I am not sure what to make of this. The only thing I can think of is that somehow the coupled inductors result in charging up and raising the voltage at the coupling capacitor more than the FET can lower it toward GND. I'm not sure what to look for or how to measure things to explain the behavior. Any ideas on how I can identify the factors that make the circuit fail with the "inferior" FET? TIA. Working circuit - Yellow - FET gate. Blue - coupling capacitor node at second inductor, 5V/div. Failing circuit - note blue trace at 500mV/div. submitted by toybuilder to AskElectronics [link] [comments] |
2023.06.08 10:35 Warufu124 I have custom-made a pair of "Berek's Respite" as my engagement rings, granting me a +1 wife limit.
I am the OP from
this post Despite encountering numerous challenges along the way, I managed to overcome each one and ultimately achieved the goals I initially set out to accomplish.
I drew a design sketch of the ring and submitted it to the goblin craftsman. We discussed the necessary adjustments for the manufacturing process, and in the end, we managed to recreate the appearance of the ring as closely as possible. With the ring completed, I proposed and gained a wife.
Here is the finished ring and the progress images that the goblin craftsman sent me during the process.
https://imgur.com/a/AaFGktE My original plan was to earn enough currency ahead of the league start and purchase two Berek's Respites, laying the groundwork for the upcoming proposal.
However, she didn't choose an Ignite build as her league starter, and another friend happened to find three Berek's Respites on the ground on the first day.
So I had to abandon the original plan and focus on discussing the crafting of the ring with the craftman. I also considered finding a way to steal circumference of the ring while she was asleep.
In the end, when I presented the ring to her, she was pleasantly surprised and accepted my proposal.
I'm truly grateful for the skillful ring artisan, even though he claimed to be a goblin and looked like a bull can punch my shit out of me. His craftsmanship was even more exquisite than that of Rog. Without his assistance, I wouldn't have been able to complete my plan.
Please allow me to promote his page here to express my gratitude towards him.

2023.06.08 10:29 DuckPicMaster Those of you who are defending Diablo IV’s microtransactions, I’m assuming you were angry that Elden Ring didn’t have any?
Because if Diablo IV microtransactions are a good thing, then surely you must have been angry that Elden Ring didn’t have any?
If you weren’t- it seems you’re just trying to justify a series you like.

2023.06.08 10:27 Educational-Tea602 Major Plot Oversight
Essentially, the plot after completing the Great Sky Island is to look around for Zelda, discover that the one you've been following is a fraud, search for the fifth sage (you do not know their name at this point), find Mineru and build her a body, as then get told by her to go to the Great Deku Tree to find the Master Sword. Alternatively, rather than completing the main storyline, you can complete other quests, namely Impa and the Geoglyphs and then, The Dragon's Tears, and throught completing it , it reveals Zelda's location to Link, and that she cannot be the one you see in the Regional Phenomena quest. Despite this, even if you complete The Dragon's Tears first, Link will tell the leader of the village that the whereabouts of Zelda is unknown. Additionally, he will be lured in to the trap set by Phantom Ganon, even though he knows it's not Zelda. Once again, we already know who the Fifth Sage is and where she is (Mineru's spirit is in the Purah Pad, and yes I know, you do need to follow the quest to build her body and allow her to communicate with you, but my point still stands). She then directs you to go to the Great Deku Tree after telling her you do not know where the Master Sword is, even though you know it's in the sky, on Zelda's head. Some dialogue or even quests just don't make sense if you complete the quests in this order, even though Nintendo has clearly allowed it, and this also includes the whole Reported Princess Sightings quest. Another strange side effect is Impa not returning to Kakariko until after the Find the Fifth Sage quest has been completed - she just disappears until then.I know this has been mentioned before and that it has spoilt the plot for some people, but I just wanted to add that it causes Link to completely lie . It seems strange that Nintendo would overlook something so significant.

2023.06.08 10:07 Wallboy19 Lancool 216 - ARGB/PWM Headers direct to Mobo
Hi, I'm new to this whole ARGB stuff, as this stuff didn't exist in my last build that was almost 9 years ago now.
I'm curious if it's possible to simply plug the PWM/ARGB headers on the front two fans directly into the mobo, as opposed to going through the included fan controller? The same with the rear fan for that matter.
The idea being to have separate control over the front and rear fans, and also having less cables in general.
Also, what is the point of that extra RGB controller thing (
https://lian-li.com/product/lan216-1/) you can add to the case, when from what I understand ARGB can be directly controlled by the mobo?
From what I understand, it allows for separate outer ring color control. But I thought the whole purpose of ARGB is that you have control over every single LED. So wouldn't that be controllable through the motherboard anyway?
Thanks!

2023.06.08 09:49 ReddSquall The secret of the Donquixote Family
I had a theory years ago that D stood for Donquixote, while that could still be the case, recently chapter 1085 made me look at it in a different way.
I think the Donquixote family much like the Nefertari family at the very least are secretly members of the D clan, even if that name ends up standing up for Dawn/Don, a grin, a rising sun, a half moon, Davy, or something else entirely.
For those of you who don't know the book "Don Quijote de la Mancha", which is where Oda took the name from, here's the full wikepedia link:
Don Quixote - Wikipedia :
The plot revolves around the adventures of a noble (hidalgo)) from La Mancha named Alonso Quixano, who reads so many chivalric romances that he loses his mind and decides to become a knight-errant (caballero andante) to revive chivalry and serve his nation, under the name Don) Quixote de la Mancha.
I'll rehash the points that made me think D stands for Donquixote from my previous theory, I think they connections would still be big hints that the Donquixote are secretly D members:
Gan Fall is a character that is clearly inspired by Donquixote de la Mancha when he's first introduced. His enemy is Enel, someone who very much like the Celestial Dragons thinks he is literally a god. The Ds are called "God's Natural Enemy".
Donquixote de la Mancha is famously known for his fight against windmills thinking they are giants. Luffy's home village is Foosha Village which literally means Windmill village, it was introduced in chapter 1 of One Piece.
People with D in their name are shown to die smiling. We have seen the last moments of two characters who share the name of Donquixote, that's Donquixote Corazon and Donquixote Homing. Both of them died at the hands of Donquixote Doflamingo, and they both died smiling.
We are introduced to another Celestial Dragon that is also named Donquixote and that's Donquixote Mjosgard. We didn't know his full name at first, and knowing how good Oda is at coming up with names and world building it always struck me that he would reuse the same name. Even if D. doesn't end up meaning Donquixote there's definitely more to the Donquixote name.
The Celestial Dragon Roswald remarks on how crazy the Donquixote family is, much like what is said of the Ds. In particular I saw a lot of resemblance between how Mjosgard Donquixote saved Shirahoshi from becoming a slave and how Luffy saved Camie and Hatchan from becoming slaves, obviously the similarity was intentional but what I found interesting is how it was perceived as crazy behaviour by their respective peers.
Their encounters are magnified by Don Quixote's imagination into chivalrous quests. Don Quixote's tendency to intervene violently in matters irrelevant to himself, and his habit of not paying debts,
The quote is from wikipedia. It doesn't just tie back to the last paragraph but it also reminded me of how Luffy and Ace have a habit of not running away from restaurants.
Several of the characters named Donquixote in One Piece have gone against the World Goverment in some way or another, particularly against the Celestial Dragons who call themselves gods.
One of the most famous quotes from the story of Donquixote de la Mancha is:
When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams — this may be madness. Too much sanity may be madness — and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!"
Props to
u/Baumguy21 for making this connection in my original theory.
I think the Donquixote family sharing D in their name would also play into One Piece's theme of there being good and bad guys in any group. In Smokers words:
Don't ever think there's any perfect society made by humans! If you think that you'll overlook the enemy! Don't be fooled by appearances!
It could also explain why Rosinante wanted to hide Law after he learned of his true name. It wasn't because he naturally hated D members as a former Celestial Dragon, it's because there could be some sort of connection as to why his father decided to leave "heaven".
On the other hand it is also possible the Donquixote family is entirely oblivious that their ancestors secretly had the name D. Just like Sabo became a D., it could have stopped being passed down at some point by the Donquixote family.
At the very least I think Mjosgard, Rosinante and Homing have inherited the will of D.
TL;DR: I think the Donquixote family are secretly D members. There are certain similarities with the protagonist of Donquixote de la Mancha, smiling deaths, and other hints that make me think so.
