The walls were lined with metal panels and pipes, stretching out into the depths of the building. There were some consoles built into the wall, buttons with blinking lights, and transparent glass windows looking out at the limitless barren desert beyond.
After a brisk five-minute walk, he arrived at his workplace and quickly changed into his work clothes. Once he was dressed appropriately, he checked in at the factory to begin his shift.
In the factory, people, and machines intermingled in a chaotic overlap. Thick gray clouds of smoke and dust enveloped the workers in a thick haze, while sparks flew from the ancient machinery like fireflies in the night sky.

The audience response is strong, with the A CinemaScore falling below the first film's A+ but bouncing back from the B+'s earned by Doctor Strange 2 and Thor: Love and Thunder, which ranked among the worst for the MCU. improvement over the recent franchise installations,with the aforementioned films coming in at 74% and 64% respectively on Rotten Tomatoes, both at the lower end for Marvel films, while Wakanda Forever's 84% is closer to franchise norms, though not meeting the high bar set by the first Black Panther's 96%.
The sequel opened to $150 million internationally, which Disney reports is 4% ahead of the first film when comparing like for likes at current exchange rates. Overall, the global cume comes to $330 million. Can it become the year's third film to make it past $1 billion worldwide despite China and Russia, which made up around $124 million of the first film's $682 million international box office, being out of play? It may be tough, but it's not impossible. Legging out past $500 million is plausible on the domestic front (that would be a multiplier of at least 2.7), and another $500 million abroad would be a drop of around $58 million from the original after excluding the two MIA markets. It'd be another story if audiences didn't love the film,but the positive reception suggests that Wakanda Forever will outperform the legs on this year's earlier MCU titles (Multiverse of Madness and Love and Thunder had multipliers of 2.2 and 2.3 respectively).
As for the rest of the box office, there's little to get excited about, with nothing else grossing above $10 million as Hollywood shied away from releasing anything significant not just this weekend but also over the previous two weekends. When Black Panther opened in 2018, there was no counterprogramming that opened the same weekend, but Peter Rabbit and Fifty Shades Freed were in their second weekends and took second and third with $17.5 million and $17.3 million respectively. That weekend had an overall cume of $287 million compared to $208 million this weekend Take away the $22 million gap between the two Black Panther films and there's still a $57 million gap between the two weekends. The difference may not feel that large when a mega blockbuster is propping up the grosses,but the contrast is harsher when the mid-level films are the entire box office as we saw in recent months.
Luther: The Fallen Sun, which is the biggest grosser of the rough post-summer, pre-Wakanda Forever season, came in second with just $8.6 million. Despite the blockbuster competition that arrived in its fourth weekend, the numbers didn't totally collapse, dropping 53 % for a cume of $151 million. Worldwide it is at $352 million, which isn't a great cume as the grosses start to wind down considering its $200 million budget. Still, it's the biggest of any film since Thor: Love and Thunder, though Wakanda Forever will overtake it any day now.

The newer dog boxes are selling for the same price as the older homes.
The older homes are still in good condition, good quality finish.
Newer homes are further for local services

We pretty much eliminated our savings through purchasing our house and having to do some urgent work to it. I haven't even touched the credit debt yet, although thankfully a large proportion is 0% until the end of the yeastart of next (but obviously the plan is to be paying off big chunks of it each month).
I have tried to group DDs around each pay date and eliminate any unnecessary spending. Is there anything else I can do?

17 month old spayed female dog, with severe anxiety and reactivity. She is on a combination of 4 medications that do not sedate her, just calm her down / take the edge off a bit for context regarding her anxiety.
After my last post and all of your kind comments, I figured there was still more work to do (although I'm running out of ideas on my end). She is scared to go outside, scared of her triggers, scared of other dogs on leash, even scared to potty. We have now overcome her fear of potty by giving her a stuffed plushie to carry on potty walks.
I realise one thing we have never done for her consistently is decompression walks. Not for lack of trying, she just throws a tantrum every time she is out and pulls on the leash to go back home, and hits me with her muzzle repeatedly. Even the most patient person will get the hint after a large Leerburg metal muzzle hits you in the shins with force, every minute for 30 minutes, which is a behaviour she does only on these walks, not if muzzled in any other context (vet, car, around strangers etc).
Today I gave her the plushie for the potty portion of the walk, took her to a deserted park at 4 AM, put her muzzle on and let her sniff for the duration of the way there and back - about 55 minutes. It takes 20 minutes to reach the park, 15 minutes at the park, and 20 minutes back. She scavenges so muzzle is a must. We saw no other dogs or scary things. I let her lead the walk on a 10 foot line - she could run, pull, weave, sniff, scratch etc.
I thought the walk went well until we came home (as well as it could) and she began to have zoomies (AT 5 AM), barking loud enough that the neighbours could hear, growling, trying to bite me etc after I took her muzzle off to give her medication. I even tried bribing her with real meat during this time and she would settle for a second and then go back to this behaviour. She had peed and pooped so that was not the issue. We live in a split level right now so we have neighbours, who are well within their rights to complain and suggest we get evicted.
Is there something I did wrong? I thought a decompression walk would help calm her but it just made her more aroused and over threshold even though it was pitch black, no dogs or scary things around.

OK, so my Jake turns 10 in a couple of months and he is getting increasingly cranky. It's not directed at people but the other dogs in the house which includes 2 Saints, 3 pit mixes ( not mine), and a Border Collie mix. Jake is the oldest in the house and been my velcro buddy. It seems he has no patients for the other dogs. Not over food or water ( I open feed) but seemingly me. As I move around the property I always have a train behind me with Jake in the lead and if another dog gets near me he goes nuts growling and barking until I pet him. The pack configuration has not changed in over a year and this behaviour only started a couple weeks ago.... Thoughts?

Last night i realized that everywhere my husband and i move to we have a problem with dogs barking. It's always one property that has problem dogs who bark and trigger my husband mostly. I also suffer from ptsd, so does my husband, and i am starting to think it's us that creates the problem in some way... last year we had the worst situation with very loud dogs barking accross the street and coming straight into our bedroom window (houses are so close together these days where we are). We moved and things were fine for a month and then it started up again.
I know it might sound stupid to others, but maybe people here will understand what I'm trying to say. I do believe that our thoughts create our reality and i have eliminated many many stresses in my life by simply changing the way i think about things.

I got a 2007 Toyota Sequoia for <7k that has no frame rust and 250k miles. It feels solid, has saved me thousands in car shipping, catruck rentals and furniture costs.
But now, I'm in California with insane fuel prices, a 50mi 1-way commute and 2 gas guzzlers. I refuse to give up the Lexus RC, so I was considering something to replace the Sequoia or get a 3rd car.
I don't qualify for the 4k used EV tax credit, but my girlfriend does and I don't mind having her buy it.

Where do I even start?
I feel deeply ashamed everyday, deeply guilty. I want to do things to progress and enjoy my life but I genuinely feel disabled (not physically), I just can't do anything.
When I say disabled, what I mean is that while I can do minimal things to be a "functioning" person like wake up on time and go to work but the entire time I feel completely hopeless and out of it, I can't do things that matter to me or things that I need to do. I can barely even do anything that is supposed to be leisure because I'm locked in my head and can barely derive joy from things. The only times I feel like I can enjoy things now is if I'm smoking weed. I feel as though I'm not completely immersed in my life. I'm constantly tired, guess I can thank my sleep schedule for that but every time I try to fix it, I get decent sleep for a couple days and inevitably fuck it up because of my impulses to stay up late. I always feel more alive and slightly better at night. I don't know why but my impulses just have such a strong hold on me that I cannot resist them whatsoever. Do I enjoy feeling like a zombie everyday? I just feel fucking depressed, it's probably all my bad habits making me think this way.
Maybe I don't have the right structure for my days? I'm currently conscripted which makes me just feel bad in general because I always thought it's a waste of time, and now I know that to be a fact. I could never get used to the structure of school and honestly the army feels the same way, just much more boring and depressing, I don't feel connected to even a single person in my base. Add the fact that smoking weed is highly illegal especially in the army (without a medical permit) and if I get caught it can put a stain on my civilian life later on, not like I can see that far forward, so I say fuck it anyway.
Then I have my dad who looms over me and it makes me so fucking anxious and filled with dread. It's not like he is constantly fighting me nowadays. He always asks me if I'm doing productive things but I fail everyday. I feel like I have to lie to him, it's what I always did. I live with him and help clean the house but sometimes I fall short even in house chores. I have a hard time not lying to him about everyday small things because when I'm truthful, he doesn't understand me and doesn't really care to listen. If I lie, I feel a little relief short term and then it all explodes anyway.
He told me that I'd never survive without him all alone, that I'm incapable of doing anything myself. It's all true and I hate it. I hate relying on him but I don't have a choice right now, still I'd like to pull my own weight somehow. Even if I could go live by myself or with roommates, or with my mom, I'd never be able to make it work and it won't fix shit. He constantly says he loves me and tries to get close but it's such a big cognitive dissonance because in my childhood and teenage years I absolutely despised and resented him, he treated my mom like shit and would often break stuff in angry rampages, hit me, verbally abuse my mom and me like it's nothing, scream at us for what felt like almost every day, etc., I thought about just ending it all pretty early on but not seriously, I don't think those thoughts even registered in my brain correctly. This is such a shit thing to say, but I don't love him and wish I could function on my own so I wouldn't need to interact with him.
Sometimes he asks me if I see him as my pet dog (as in he thinks I degrade him in my mind or don't think much of him) or if I would care if he dies. If I'm being completely honest with myself, I'd love to never see him again. I don't feel any love for him, I'm sorry. Today I'm gonna go back home and tell him that everything is fine like usual, like everyday. If I tell him the truth he would not get through it because he always tells me that I am everything he has. How the fuck am I supposed to react? I feel like a parasite in his home, yet he tries to comfort me and say that he supports me while ignoring all the years of pain he so comfortably inflicted on me and my mom.
I don't know how to deal with anything, the only coping mechanisms I've learned are things like reckless behaviour, overeating, smoking weed, forms of escapism, daydreaming, spending too much...
Today I had some suicidal thoughts that kind of led to me making this thread, I quickly snapped out of it like I usually do thankfully but it led me to think a bit. If I can just make all my problems disappear by simply taking the right pills and never wake again, then are they even problems in the first place? Maybe life isn't all I thought it was supposed to be and the actual answer is that life is just endless pain. I don't want to slog through it anymore like a helpless piece of garbage. Even if I get my shit together, get a degree, get a well paying job, strengthen bonds with my friends and find people I could call family for real, make sure I don't treat my kids like my dad treated me, in the very end it doesn't matter because I just don't see how I can get out of this hole. There's just never a way out. Even when I feel like I'm starting to make progress I always fall back down further and it's harder to try again.
I'm so fucking confused. I wish I could find a way in life because sometimes there's moments that I feel are worth experiencing but it's not worth going through the agony my head puts me in. I want to cry but can't. I want share this with someone who actually cares but the friends who do genuinely care for me probably don't want hear my sob story, everyone has their troubles, what makes my problems worth listening to? Guess I'll throw this into the void that is Reddit and hope someone can share some kind words or advice.
I want to find a solution or die, I admit I'm incapable of doing it myself.

I feel deeply ashamed everyday, deeply guilty. I want to do things to progress and enjoy my life but I genuinely feel disabled (not physically), I just can't do anything.
When I say disabled, what I mean is that while I can do minimal things to be a "functioning" person like wake up on time and go to work but the entire time I feel completely hopeless and out of it, I can't do things that matter to me or things that I need to do. I can barely even do anything that is supposed to be leisure because I'm locked in my head and can barely derive joy from things. The only times I feel like I can enjoy things now is if I'm smoking weed. I feel as though I'm not completely immersed in my life. I'm constantly tired, guess I can thank my sleep schedule for that but every time I try to fix it, I get decent sleep for a couple days and inevitably fuck it up because of my impulses to stay up late. I always feel more alive and slightly better at night. I don't know why but my impulses just have such a strong hold on me that I cannot resist them whatsoever. Do I enjoy feeling like a zombie everyday? I just feel fucking depressed, it's probably all my bad habits making me think this way.
Maybe I don't have the right structure for my days? I'm currently conscripted which makes me just feel bad in general because I always thought it's a waste of time, and now I know that to be a fact. I could never get used to the structure of school and honestly the army feels the same way, just much more boring and depressing, I don't feel connected to even a single person in my base. Add the fact that smoking weed is highly illegal especially in the army (without a medical permit) and if I get caught it can put a stain on my civilian life later on, not like I can see that far forward, so I say fuck it anyway.
Then I have my dad who looms over me and it makes me so fucking anxious and filled with dread. It's not like he is constantly fighting me nowadays. He always asks me if I'm doing productive things but I fail everyday. I feel like I have to lie to him, it's what I always did. I live with him and help clean the house but sometimes I fall short even in house chores. I have a hard time not lying to him about everyday small things because when I'm truthful, he doesn't understand me and doesn't really care to listen. If I lie, I feel a little relief short term and then it all explodes anyway.
He told me that I'd never survive without him all alone, that I'm incapable of doing anything myself. It's all true and I hate it. I hate relying on him but I don't have a choice right now, still I'd like to pull my own weight somehow. Even if I could go live by myself or with roommates, or with my mom, I'd never be able to make it work and it won't fix shit. He constantly says he loves me and tries to get close but it's such a big cognitive dissonance because in my childhood and teenage years I absolutely despised and resented him, he treated my mom like shit and would often break stuff in angry rampages, hit me, verbally abuse my mom and me like it's nothing, scream at us for what felt like almost every day, etc., I thought about just ending it all pretty early on but not seriously, I don't think those thoughts even registered in my brain correctly. This is such a shit thing to say, but I don't love him and wish I could function on my own so I wouldn't need to interact with him.
Sometimes he asks me if I see him as my pet dog (as in he thinks I degrade him in my mind or don't think much of him) or if I would care if he dies.
