So I’m a total newbie to MJ and got a request from my kids that I can’t fulfill. The essential elements are (1) Spider-Man (in full costume), and (2) a Keeshond (type of dog seen here).
I’d like to be able to craft prompts of them doing various things (hugging, playing, etc) in various styles (cartoon, movie poster, etc.)
Problem is, I can’t get both a full-costume Spider-Man and a Keeshond in the same picture. It always draws Spider-Man without his mask (even when prompted for a mask) and never actually draws a Keeshond (always another kind of dog, even though it can do keeshonds by themselves). Sometimes Spider-Man has a dog head. It’s a mess and I’m sure it’s my fault.

While the theory that the Glitchtrap virus is actually Mimic1 is gaining a lot of traction, and understandably so, I personally am not completely sold on the idea yet. Of course, the next two books and Ruin could confirm it, but I want to list my reasons here before that happens:

• Why would Fazbear Entertainment send the Mimic circuit board to Silver Parasol Games, steal it back after it starts causing problems, and then use it again for the Storyteller without expecting anything to go wrong?
  
• Fazbear Entertainment scanned old circuit boards to “recreate performances and personalities from the past in an instant,” so that “the programmers wouldn’t have to program any of the pathfinding for themselves." That means that whatever is on the circuit boards they scanned has information about the animatronics’ movements in FNAF1, FNAF2, FNAF3, and some of FNAF4 and Sister Location. The Mimic was discontinued in 1985. It seems more likely that they scanned circuit boards from surviving animatronics that were there to witness the games. These could be any animatronics for most of the games, like spare endos and such, but the only animatronic in FNAF3 is Springtrap, meaning they must have scanned his circuit boards.
  
• Why would the Mimic solely take the form of a Spring Bonnie costume that he never would have seen? If he saw the MCI and wanted to mimic it, he would take the form of the springlock suit William used to lure the kids.
  
• Mimic chooses to represent himself as a tiger in both The Storyteller and Tiger Rock, and is shown to switch costumes regularly in the epilogues. Why would he become so insistent on repeatedly using Spring Bonnie as his avatar?
  
• Vanessa has not shown up once yet in the Tales books, despite being Glitchtrap’s first follower. She is the one who adds Glitchtrap to the Funtime Service, and she is told that she’s needed at the Pizzaplex afterward, so the idea that some other team would coincidentally also use the same Glitchtrap program for the Storyteller with no malicious intent seems a bit far-fetched to me. This suggests to me that rather than the Mimic1 program throughout the Pizzaplex being what Vanessa is working for, it’s a convenient tool that Glitchtrap will be able to latch onto once Vanessa enters the picture.
  
• In Curse of Dreadbear, Glitchtrap represents himself as a purple tombstone and dances next to the FNAF4 house. Why would the Mimic do this? Even if it was an attempt of his to represent William, how would he know that William is dead, and how would he know where William lived?

There are…so many things that happen between 1988 and 1994 in one discipline of figure skating it is near comical. With Soviet domination of ice dance near assured during this era, the focus shifts from who will win to instead question how fast the Soviet dynasty can fall apart. The answer? Well…I guess you’ll have to see.
With Bestemianova/Bukin and Wilson/McCall opting to go to the pro ranks after their Olympic medals in 1988, Klimova/Ponomarenko seemed the de facto leaders of ice dance. Natalia Dubova now not only coached Klimova/Ponomarenko but also a married couple making their international debut in Maya Usova/Alexander Zhulin. The new rink situation pit the 2 couples against each other as each aimed to become the top couple in the world.
No one could deny Klimova/Ponomarenko in 1989 though. Skating to “Mack the Knife,” Klimova/Ponomarenko skated to victory with a more humorous and friendly free dance to expand their horizons. According to the media of the time though, this new styling for them wasn’t as beloved as their previous work. However, no one could deny their technical ability as they took the ice.
Their countrymates Usova/Zhulin nabbed the silver medal with a free dance skated to dramatic classical music. Usova/Zhulin were a team that felt like they encapsulated everything Dubova had ever aimed to bring to the ice. They floated across the ice in ways that only Klimova/Ponomarenko could sometimes achieve. They also had brilliant matching lines that Dubova liked to emphasize through her choreography. They tended to skate in a hold that had Usova in front with Zhulin wrapped behind her, consistently close together. Their gentle, lyrical skating made them a quick favorite for fans of the sport.
The Duchesnays improved from 8th at the Olympics to grab the bronze in 1989 on home ice in Paris. The Duchesnays were…the best way to describe them is that they’re the proto-French ice dance team. Their free dance was set to an instrumental version of Eleanor Rigby, and told the story of dreams and reality, where Isabelle represented dreams constantly being brought down to Paul’s reality. The Christopher Dean choreographed program was…noticeably easier in difficulty compared with the Soviets, featuring less holds overall and more lifts that took Isabelle off the ice. However, their eccentric concepts made them another crowd favorite in these years.
In 1989, Dubova also put together another Soviet team to compete against her top 2 skaters. Evgeni Platov, a 3-time World Junior champion, had just placed fifth in the world with his former partner before their split. Oksana Grishuk, coming off a World Junior title herself, moved from Natalia Linichuk’s school to pair with Platov after she split from her partner. The 2 began skating together in the summer of 1989, making Dubova the sole coach of the top 3 Soviet teams. What could possibly go wrong?
The 1990 season saw all 3 Soviet teams compete for the podium alongside the Duchesnays and, surprisingly, an American team who slipped up to 4th: Susan Wynne/Joseph Druar. For Wynne/Druar, it was the highest place finish for an American team since Blumberg/Seibert were still skating. Their free dance to “Hit the Road Jack” was a tribute to tap dance. Their style was distinctly North American, similar in style to that of Wilson/McCall, in that the woman appeared stronger on ice rather than the dainty appearance of women like Marina Klimova and Maya Usova (think Madi Hubbell compared with Gabi Papadakis for a more recent example). This style, wherein the woman was an equal on ice to her partner, was not popular with the judges of the time, so acted more as a precursor to the North American style than as a legitimate podium threat.
Klimova/Ponomarenko earned a second World title in 1990 skating to “My Fair Lady,” now fully bought into the idea of the one concept free dance but still maintaining the classical switching of rhythms within that one concept, marrying the traditions of ice dance with the post-Torvill/Dean landscape. Best described by the commentary of the time, Klimova/Ponomarenko were technically unmatched by their peers, even as their free featured less holds than had been their norm. However, their prowess still took the cake as they walked away with a second title.
The Duchesnays improved on their 1989 placement by earning silver in 1990. Skating to their first iteration of “Missing,” Isabelle and Paul truly embraced the avant garde. Dean gave his now girlfriend and her brother choreography that was simpler and easier to perform but striking in its repeated poses and lifts to make an unbreakable impression on the audience and judges, earning them first in the free dance. On a more…aesthetic note, this is the first time in my write up that I’ve seen a dress that looks like the skirt was shredded, which is just a fine precursor to the horrors of costuming to come.
Usova/Zhulin grabbed the bronze with a sophisticated tango to Piazzolla selections (naturally). Usova/Zhulin improved on their lyrical style to incorporate more speed and sharpness to their movements, which drew more attention to their matching body lines. However, the tango was far easier than their free dance the previous year, featuring more side by side skating rather than close holds. And in their senior debut as a pair, Grishuk/Platov earned 5th place with a free dance using music from “Zorba the Greek” (I truly wish I was joking). But regardless of the odd music choice, Grishuk/Platov were known for their skating skills, arguably the strongest of the next 8 years. While this free dance certainly didn’t show that off, the promise of the senior pair was apparent from the moment they stepped on the ice.
All good training rinks must carry with it insane amounts of drama though, for this is ice dance. And stuffing the top Soviet teams under one coach was bound to implode at some point. It was during this time that Dubova started to favor Usova/Zhulin for the Olympic gold in Albertville 1992. And with it, better program ideas. This came to a head when Klimova/Ponomarenko slipped to a silver medal in 1991, behind the Duchesnays. And that’s truly where the bubble burst.
The Duchesnays had an interesting season, debuting their Reflections FD which was actually a program originally meant for Torvill/Dean’s professional career before being scrapped and given to the Duchesnays…which should tell you all a lot about both Dean and the insanity that was this FD, where Isabelle and Paul were made to look like mirror images of each other. The free dance received a lukewarm reception, causing them to scrap the FD for the amateur ranks and instead opt for a second iteration of their “Missing” FD, aptly titled Missing II. Outrage from fans on behalf of Klimova/Ponomarenko was apparent, as the Duchesnays’ repeated lifts and tricks were inherently easier than the skating that Klimova/Ponomarenko were doing. But the lack of Dubova faith and the judges’ love of Christopher Dean worked in the Duchesnays’ favor.
Klimova/Ponomarenko skated to “Lawrence of Arabia,” entering the free dance in a surprising 3rd place after the original dance (OD), which had by now supplanted the OSP. After being behind Usova/Zhulin in the compulsories and behind both the Duchesnays and Usova/Zhulin in the OD, Klimova/Ponomarenko needed near perfect scores to retain their title. They would not get it. The pair attempted to expand their horizons even further with a more dramatic piece of music; Klimova/Ponomarenko put more emphasis on their lifts, which were vastly improved. But some media felt that they had lost their inherent qualities that identified them in favor of trying to prove their range. This would become a major sticking point in the Olympic year.
Usova/Zhulin meanwhile earned bronze at these Worlds, elegantly skating to “Variations” from Andrew Lloyd Webber. The couple’s lyrical and emotional interpretation entranced the audience in watching the leaders after the OD. Of course, Usova/Zhulin couldn’t hang onto their lead in the end, which really should’ve acted as effective foreshadowing of not only their competitive careers but also what was happening behind the scenes with their rinkmates Grishuk/Platov, who had placed 4th in the same event.
The summer of 1991 was absolute ice dance chaos. In a span of a few short months, all of this happened at once:
· Klimova finds out Dubova is giving preferential treatment to Usova/Zhulin. She cries in front of a Russian sports journalist.
· Andrei Bukin goes to Tarasova, begging her to take on Klimova/Ponomarenko so that they aren’t shut out of a gold. Tarasova agrees, and Klimova/Ponomarenko flee Dubova.
· Christopher Dean gets married to Isabelle Duchesnay and vows to choreograph them to Olympic glory (they later divorce in ’93)
· Alexander Zhulin, 28, begins his infamous affair with Oksana Grishuk, 19, putting a strain on the Usova/Zhulin partnership on and off ice. The affair becomes Grishuk’s fault in the media.
· The Soviet Union falls, leaving the Soviet skaters without a country to represent for a year
And those are just the heavy hitters boys and girls! Truly, an offseason to remember.
Tarasova took on Klimova/Ponomarenko and attempted to steer them toward gold amid heavy competition from Dean’s Duchesnays and Dubova’s Usova/Zhulin. A strong polka OD had Klimova/Ponomarenko in a comfortable lead going into the free dance, where they performed a lyrical and transcendent program to “Air” by Bach. The pair looked statuesque as they floated over the ice. Granted, the program had about as much substance as your average show program. But man if the couple didn’t make it look good. It was a return to form in a lot of ways for the pair, returning to their more classical roots but now with the experience of having done more dramatic works and being able to incorporate that emotion back into a lyrical program. Tarasova had her second Olympic gold medal winning team in the span of 2 Olympics, adding to her already storied career in ice dance (having led a pair to an Olympic medal in 4 of the 5 competed events at this point).
The Duchesnays settled for silver in a home Olympics in Albertville. Their free dance was set to the music of “West Side Story,” with the pair portraying the sibling duo of Tony and Maria (thank God). In a lot of ways, it was a call back to Dean’s past World title winning free dances based around Broadway musicals. And the choreography was meant to call to mind the intricate choreography of the musical, including some of the first instances of the reverse lifts naturally. However, the easier skating choreography caught up to the Duchesnays and their free program placement suffered for it. Hard to consider it a skating program if most of the dance was spent in the air or side by side.
Usova/Zhulin entered the ’92 Olympics incredibly strained. This was only exacerbated when Zhulin gave Grishuk his wedding ring for her to wear during the compulsories, to which Usova understandably lost her cool. With that in the back of their minds, it’s truly a wonder that they pulled through for a bronze medal. Their “Four Seasons” free dance was meant to tell the stories of two statues coming to life. Which seems apt for a couple whose chemistry had about as much warmth as two statues. Grishuk/Platov earned 4th place with a more modern free dance. It’s…very 80s, I don’t know how to describe it. But it was obvious that their partnership was finally flourishing in a way that their promise had predicted. Which is naturally the perfect time for more insanity to come between them.
After a Soviet podium sweep at Worlds, the summer of ’92 saw Zhulin and Grishuk’s affair escalate during the show season. Everything really hit the fan when Usova caught Zhulin and Grishuk at a restaurant together and “saw Grishuk sipping a margherita at a bar, came up behind her, grabbed her hair and smashed her head against the counter.” And although Usova later apologized, Dubova had had enough and expelled Grishuk from her camp for getting involved with Zhulin. While Grishuk headed back to Moscow, Dubova attempted to pair Platov with a young Tatiana Navka, who would’ve been around 17 and representing Belarus following the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Ultimately though, Grishuk returned to former coach Natalia Linichuk and Platov followed, restoring their partnership before the 92-93 season.
The Soviets, now officially representing the newly reformed country of Russia, maintained their absolute stranglehold on the discipline. With Klimova/Ponomarenko retiring to focus on the pro circuit and starting a family as well as the Duchesnays’ retirement, all medalists slid up the rankings, with Usova/Zhulin finally earning their gold medal on the backs of a sultry blues free dance that kept the audience spellbound and where they pretended that they were into each other for 4 minutes.
As if to contrast the gold medalists, Grishuk/Platov skated to a more violent blues, which is admittedly one of my guilty pleasure skates. The free dance told the story of toxic lovers, even incorporating choreography where it looked like Platov was choking Grishuk. Their skating earned them their first medal at Worlds, a silver. And they also started to find that their strength was in the dramatic, even if they don’t go back to it for several years. It is at this time that the media picks up on the former Grishuk/Zhulin affair, but only mentions it during Grishuk/Platov’s programs.
Inter-country politics began early when Alla Shekhovtsova advocated to the judges for Anjelika Krylova and her former partner Vladmir Fedorov, coached by Linichuk, to be sent to Worlds in 93, threatening their judging careers if they put their competitors Elena Kustarova/Oleg Ovsiannikov in front. Naturally. Krylova/Fedorov were sent by one judge’s vote and earned a bronze at Worlds. Krylova was known for her amazing leg line, but this free dance doesn’t really do them justice on that end. After Krylova/Fedorov earned a medal in their debut, American and Canadian media started to become frustrated with lack of results from their ice dancers, insinuating that their lack of results was strictly because of the flag next to their names. In the ‘94 offseason, Krylova/Fedorov would break up and Ovsiannikov would be lured by Linichuk to pair with Krylova.
A little further down the standings, Susanna Rahkamo/Petri Kokko dazzled with a free dance to Valse Triste. The fourth place finishers were crowd favorites known primarily for their slow, methodical, lyrical dances. An innovative couple, their choreography featured harder lifts as well as well placed switching in height. However, their programs were often not as technically difficult as the Russians even as the passion on ice touched the audience.
In the 1993 offseason, a change was made to the rules for professional skaters, stating that those who took money from doing shows could still compete at the amateur ranks. The news was huge, allowing many of the skaters who had been held to professional competitions to compete again for an Olympic title. The biggest name to return to the ice, of course, were Torvill/Dean. Just about 10 years after their win in Sarajevo, Torvill/Dean were determined to earn another Olympic gold. But in the 10-year interval, a lot had changed about ice dance.
After Dubova refused to allow RusFed to see Usova/Zhulin’s programs ahead of the Olympic season, Russia silently started to get behind Grishuk/Platov. On top of that, Usova found out about Zhulin’s affair with a 19-year-old Navka around the Olympics. Navka’s then-partner found out and beat Navka for the affair, before Usova and Zhulin’s mothers started beating each other. So, Maya Usova was distracted to say the very least.
The competition also disallowed classical music for the free dance that year, instead opting to go more modern to appeal more to the audience. Torvill/Dean publicly worried about whether their routines would be suited to more modern music.
With all that happening, the Grishuk/Platov, Usova/Zhulin, Torvill/Dean showdown started in full swing at the European championships, when Usova/Zhulin won the compulsories, Torvill/Dean won the OD, and Grishuk/Platov won the free dance. It was the closest ice dance competition in history at that point and left many wondering who would ultimately take home the Olympic gold, even as Torvill/Dean came home with the European title.
The event lived up to the hype. The first compulsory, the Starlight Waltz, was won by Usova/Zhulin before Grishuk/Platov won the blues compulsory (which is absolutely gorgeous by the way, please watch it) and began to build their reputation as the best compulsory skaters of their generation. Torvill/Dean, unfortunately, looked a bit like their age in the compulsories that Olympics, coming up third in both. However, their rhumba OD was sensational and encapsulated the best of them, including their obvious chemistry on the ice. The original dance placed first in the segment, with Usova/Zhulin in second and Grishuk/Platov in third. The final placements would come down to the free dance.
Torvill/Dean would perform a free dance to “Let’s Face the Music,” which read a bit like a greatest hits free dance, incorporating choreography from some of their more famous programs. While the program did feature closed holds when skating, there was also a ton of lifts and tricks incorporated into the choreography, which seemed controversial among the judges. Usova/Zhulin competed with a free dance based on circus acts. A more humorous routine than their past entries, the free incorporated technical difficulty effectively but was a tad bland, which is truly a feat given what the program was supposed to be emulating. At Worlds that year, Rahkamo/Kokko earned a long-awaited bronze after 8 senior seasons at Worlds. A French couple, Sophia Moniotte/Pascal Lavanchy earned the silver. And so ended an overwhelming era of ice dance. But as skaters like Shae-Lynn Bourne/Victor Kraatz, Tatiana Navka, Margarita Drobiazko/Povilas Vanagas, and Elizabeth Punsalan/Jerod Swallow waited in the wings while Canadian and American media lamented the lack of variety at the top, only 1 thing could be stated for certain: the chaos that is ice dance was sure to continue far past 1994.

So I’m following the list below, and I realized I have no de ionized water. Is any other variation fine? What’s the purpose of de-ionized? Could distilled or tap work in the mixture? Thanks

• Add 100g Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark (powdered) to a 1L Borosilicate glass mason jar (clip-top).
• In a separate borosilicate glass (Pyrex) measuring jug measure 750ml of water (I use de-ionized water), add the lye (I use around 40g) to 750ml de-ionised water slowly as a violent chemical reaction occurs and creates a high pH solution and high temperature. We need a pH of 12 or above to break down the cell walls of the bark and release the molecule into the base, so keep adding the lye in small increments and stirring until dissolved or the desired pH is reached (the mixture should turn clear when fully dissolved). Remember to use a stainless steel spoon here so it doesn't get dissolved into your mixture. Allow to cool to room temperature before adding to the powdered bark.
• Mix your cooled-down (room-temp) lye water into the powdered bark (I like to feel the outside of the jug with my hand but you can use a thermometer also). Be careful not to splash it on you and always wear gloves, eye protection and even a face mask to help prevent harmful fumes from being inhaled. Mix until the bark is fully saturated and no dried bark is floating on the top. Take your time with this part and make sure it's done correctly.
• Once you are happy that your base is fully saturated, add your solvent on top. Mix (don't shake) softly for about 10 minutes and let sit for 30 minutes. We are just making sure that every bit of the base has been in contact with the solvent to rip away that molecule. Repeat this process 7/8 times to ensure the solvent has extracted the DMT molecule into it. I like to use the rubber seal on the mason jar during mixing but I remove it during the 30-minute separation periods between mixes to prevent pressure build-up and a possible explosion. Don't worry about emulsions because vibration can help remove them, also I use my glass stirring rod to mix the soup and it does wonders to help separate the layers if they don't do so automatically.
• When you are happy that your solvent has dissolved enough DMT, siphon the solvent layer off into an 8x8 Pyrex dish, put the lid on and let it freeze for 12 hours MINIMUM! -Don't worry about leaving a thin layer of solvent in the mason jar as it gets difficult to siphon without sucking any base into the pipette. You can rest your pipette on the lip of the jar for more stability while siphoning. We will add more solvent on top to start what's called the 2nd pull (you can reuse the solvent from the 1st pull once you bring it back to room temp before adding it back into your base). Once you do this just repeat the mixing and siphon process and it's recommended to do this 3 times (3 pulls) overall but you can do it as many times as you want. You can reuse solvent as many times as you want also, so please don't waste it as it is crucial to the process because it is where the DMT molecules are suspended until the freeze precipitation crystallises them.

I really don’t want to be a nagging wife because I know how much my husband loves golfing… but.. this is his 4th Saturday in a row going and I’m honestly starting to get fed up. I’m so pissed that I’m having a hard time even finishing typing/posting this. I’m running on maybe 1 hour of sleep because he doesn’t wake up with our newborn (she’s 5 weeks old) and I don’t care that he doesn’t wake up with her because he just doesn’t take care of her right if I’m being honest… his version of taking care of her is holding her for a minute and then propping her bottle up with a blanket. In which I have to stop and pick her up and feed her because he’s too damn lazy. We had to get help with rent last month from a church and running low on money and here he is spending 50-60$ going golfing every weekend. I’m just irritated. My cars been broke down for weeks. He knows I’m stuck at home with 4 kids(ages 16,14,10, and newborn) and can’t go anywhere… which is strange because last summer when my car was working he barely went golfing. He’s technically not even supposed to be driving his truck—- he got caught driving without insurance and his license is suspended until February.. he only has driving privileges to and from work. He doesn’t care. He doesn’t care about that— he doesn’t care if I’m mad that he goes golfing. He doesn’t care we’re stuck here. He just straight does not give a shit. I’m thinking he likes golf more than he likes us! I’m even starting to get thoughts he’s cheating on me with someone either at his work or at the golf course, idk!
For the past 4 days he’s been complaining of not being able to poop and have a hemorrhoid which has severely killed my sex drive… like.. I don’t mind he has that— things happen ya know and I like he feels comfortable enough to tell me— problem is— I don’t think he actually has a hemorrhoid I think it’s just an excuse to laze around or whatever… but he’s totally fine to go golfing though— makes tons of sense!
At the same time I don’t want him to stay home just because I have to stay home… if he only went every once in a while I wouldn’t be mad… but it’s like I said 4th weekend in a row and now I’m just irritated I guess…

I was just playing a mission in Revelation where you have to get a book for Sofia is being held up in costums. On my way to get said book I killed 10 innocent guards. Why? Because it was the most conventient way to 100 % the mission, which requires you to not get seen.
I also think back to the mission in Odyssey, where you are staging a coup in Mykonos. The game makes you jump through lots of hoops to weaken the enemy, but just like in (most of) the other games, you play a demi-god who could slaughter every soldier in Mykonos and on the mainland, so it all seems kinda pointless.
I often find myself wanting to be more a clever infiltrator than a brutal murder machine.
I really appreciate the few actions games out there that give some value to human life and punishes you a bit if you murder people without cause. Deus Ex and Dishonored are the most well known examples, though they are both kinda simple.
What I would like to see in AC is something like in Vampire the Masquarade: Bloodlines and Alpha Protocol, where instead of having a kill counter like in Dishonored, killing certain people can piss off certain characters. It is not a binary morality meter, but you get consequences that make narrative sense.
Imagine that Suleiman asks you to meet you in Topkapi palace, but he doesn't give you an official invite, so you have to sneak in. If you muder all the palace guards, he can hardly blame you, as he asked you to risk your life by breaking in clandestinely, but he would be a lot happier if you did not kill anyone and might be more helpful in the future.
Sometimes a character might appreciate it if you kill more people than you strictly need to, and so you'd have to decide if their approval is worth needless slaughter.
Of course, for this to work, you'd need a better stealth system than what most of the AC games have, where non lethal stealth is a viable option.

ever since i can possibly remember i have always been the smart kid. i consistently ranked top 1 in my school for 3 years in a row, but being a nerd nobody really liked me or hungout with me, so when covid hit and everything went online, my life was bleak to say the least. i watched countless instagram stories of my friends hanging out with each other, going to the movies, going on camping trips, etc. i convinced myself that they didnt invite me out because i was too fat or that i was ugly, and so from 2021-2022 i fell balls deep into an ed that consumed my whole life. i stopped studying as a result, and my gcse grades turned out to be so disappointing (7-9s) that i cried myself to sleep for months, convinced that i would never get into med school. i had gained such a massive ego about my “smartness” that i made the absolutely insane decision to take 5 a levels just to prove that i was better and smarter than anyone else. the first month of school was an absolute trainwreck, i drowned myself in studying to make myself feel better about never getting invited out. that first semester i relapsed back into bulimia and hid it perfectly for 6 months. i studied for up to 14 hours a day. i was burntout, tired, and stressed all the time, but i still felt like i wasnt trying hard enough, school was the only thing i could fall back on, it was the only thing i was ever good at. i NEEDED to be smart because without it i was nothing. 5 a levels is an insane workload but i had deluded myself into thinking i could accomplish anything. and so when i got 70s and 80s i felt like killing myself because it wasnt a 90. if i didnt get the highest in my class i was a failure. i didnt want to lose to people who had a social life, i had to be better than them, i had to be smarter than them. now im 16, just finished sitting my AS levels, my anger and fomo fueled studying has brought me to get good grades but beyond that i have gained nothing. i have no friends, no prospects.

• Reddit's leadership is gaslighting the entire platform
• Most Admins (employees) that really cared are fired or left the company
• Extreme amount of abuse in berghain subreddits over 10+ months
• Extreme amount of slander and lies perpetuated and never properly punished
• Many sockpuppet and alt accounts pretending to be real
• 80+ verified instances of abuse, harassment and false reports
• The online "community" has been taken over by people who repeatedly abused and never admitted anything
• Admins never fully read the case and instead punished the victims

Discrediting is what they did since day one, especially the "you need help / you're in a manic episode" etc, it's disgusting. Just read the post.)

Browsing Reddit these days you can see the writing on the wall: mass subreddit protests, 3rd party reddit apps shutting down, loveletters to Reddit Admins… Reddit's CEO just had an "AMA" and in classic corporate style no real answers were given. He doubled down on his lies, attempted to gaslight the entire platform, caught copy-pasting from prepared answers, gave the same generic answers he gave many years ago, mods complaining about Reddit never responding to them. The post by the Apollo developer makes it very clear that Reddit is a very dishonest and greedy corporation.
The most common sentiment: Reddit does not respond. blind moderators' requests for accessibility features have been ignored for 3+ years. Countless moderators see how messages to modsupport lead to a void. No response, no result, no action. No word, at best some canned copypasta. Yet it's the only "official channel" to get your request heard, if it's about anything more complex than their Basic "native mod tools".
Reddit Incorporated pretends to "care" but they only care about money and anything that brings it to them - views, engagement, metrics, ads. Reddit's greedy strategy which tries to squeeze all "value" before the big IPO cash out is in clear contrast with its core model - the unpaid labor of thousands of Mods (volunteers).
Reddit is a Californian company and its culture is largely shaped by its head, it's CEO. Do's and Dont's "trickle down" from there, affecting employees' actions and decisions such as those that Reddit Admins (paid employees) take, especially in complex cases - the more greedy a company is, the less it cares, other than What Generates More Profit.
Former Admins and older mods both say that there used to be many Admin employees that cared about responding and being there. By now most are fired or have quit. Some saw the writing on the wall a long time ago. New Admins are made sure to be more compliant with the real face of Reddit before being hired, as their actions have shown. Recent example: they tried to populate new German subreddits with fake accounts / bots, using AI Translation from English to German to generate "activity".
The anonymous nature of Reddit makes it highly prone to misinformation and disinformation, something that the platform's heads have repeatedly done themselves:
In 2005, Reddit's creators help seed Reddit with numerous fake accounts to make Reddit seem more populated than it actually was.
Literally the first "major event" in its timeline, how the whole thing started.
Its creators sold Reddit to the global conglomerate Conde Nast already back in 2006. One month later, Aaron Swartz was already complaining about work becoming too corporate. This all goes back to the very beginning.
Without a doubt, Reddit's leadership shows clear signs of narcissistic abuse. There is a lot to be said about narcissistic abuse and capitalism - what "trickles down" are all the nasty byproducts of ego, greed and ignorance. Not only to internal employees, but to the broader culture of the platform.

What does any of this have to do with berghain?

There has been an extreme amount of narcissistic abuse that took place in the three Berghain subreddits (2 public and 1 private, the rest made last year), private messages, modmails, chats, false reports and so on.
This case grew far beyond just "reddit sub ownership/rivalry/whatever" - it became coordinated, scaled, directed abuse and harassment in pure bad faith. There have been extreme amounts of effort in silencing and burying the truth. Something extremely unbecoming of whoever claims to be "The Berghain Community".
Some users saw all this as just a game that they could "stir up" in any direction., joking about it in private subs (below that there was a reply saying "oh no it was a huge headache dealing with this guy" by that sub's owner).
berghain and the few people who supported it have been under an extreme amount of abuse, slander, harassment, bullying and platform manipulation over 10 entire months. The gang of abusive trolls (Bad Actors, BA for short) started with 2 members but quickly grew much larger. They allege to be "The Berghain Community" and kept discrediting everyone else in abusive and slanderous ways. Any attempt to bring the abuse itself to light and make it stop was met with never ending gaslighting: "you're crazy, paranoid, troll, insane, delusional, nobody cares, you need professional help". The comments below this post will no doubt be dismissing in similar ways - they especially now count on "many months have passed" - oddly they tried saying the same a while ago but later once exposed, immediately changed their efforts and words and had to twist reality again instead of admitting anything. Of course there were some specific users who kept gaslighting way more than others - but even when caught red handed they never admitted anything, their responses simply shifted, finding a new detail to twist reality, constantly inflating everything, making it difficult to summarize to any mediating group.
The ever growing group of BA kept denying any coordination between then, saying "it's all natural, we don't know each other". They are all regular guests of the same nightclub open for more than 30 hours every single weekend. There is way too much evidence of actions that wouldn't take place if it was just strangers on the internet. There have been countless instances where BAs kept "playing dumb" when they thought that their coordination was not known but evidence exists that proves their guilt.
When faced with endless bad faith, there must be mediation to bring sanity and peace. On Reddit, the employees that mediate complex cases are called Reddit Admins. They were repeatedly approached in full transparency and asked to make decisive actions to make the abuse entirely stop, which was happening both directly and indirectly through various creative means, timings, spaces in order to avoid "clear rule breakage", making it hard for anyone to directly "punish" it.
Around August, Admins responded "Use the report system to build a case". This was objected because the report system is extremely limited: it reviews single pieces of content, ad-hoc, hard to link to each other, especially in complex cases. Admins insisted in the same answer, they were approached again and copy-pasted the same response.
(Note: an "Actual Admin" once said that the Report System is apparently operated by different teams than "Actual Admins", such as Safety / AEO, which are likely more decoupled from Reddit HQ..)
Over the next 8 months, the report system was legitimately used: there are more than 80 verified instances of abuse, all willingly committed by Bad Actors. Some huge threads even counted as only 1 or 2 instances, despite going on for entire weeks. The harassers kept refuting everything, claiming "it's all false reports by an obsessed troll" since the very beginning. They only have 1 minor example to show which is deliberately framed as "false report" by overgeneralising, oversimplifying and omitting important context off - methods they have continuously used to twist reality.
The Bad Actors have primarily been reported for HARASSMENT (70+ instances) and REPORT ABUSE (10+ instances). They have deliberately submitted more than 10 False Reports clearly aimed to ban and silence whoever tried to bring the truth to light. The main target of the Bad Actors has been user "Agitated_Whereas8966" (AG) who has been wrongly suspended 3 times.

Also, here is a small number of mostly confirmed Harassment reports only up to September '22 , about 25 out of 70+.

What happened with Reddit Admins?

Despite mountains of evidence that proves the guilt of the Bad Actors, Reddit Admins have been consistently silent, distant, making barely any actions, some of it entirely arbitrarily as they later proved through their absolute nonsense response around March, and even though Bad Actors kept committing abuse and new evidence coming to surface, in the end Admins kept punishing the victims and supporting the abusers.
AG was first wrongly suspended on September as a result of mass-false-reports made in retaliation by Bad Actors, right after their "founder and leader" was legitimately suspended for EXTREME HARASSMENT and Ban Evasion. AG's suspension was quickly reverted as it was the result of automation: mass-false-reports triggered some code.
AG was then again wrongly suspended on December after having sustained reams of abuse for months:

• first by 3 specific users who became temporary berghain mods for less than 3 weeks. They first presented themselves in "good will", as in "we're on your side, we believe you" while at the same time never actually admitting what was really happening e.g. carefully speaking with indirect language when referring to specific events or strategically ignoring them, making numerous contradictory actions and statements, sweet-talking to AG to make him say certain statements which were twisted and used against him, saying many times to AG "you're paranoid, no one is against you" and the very next days turning extremely hostile… these temp mods all got more than 15 legitimate infractions for Harassment by the Report System and all got multiple 3/7 days bans from the entire platform.
  
• Admins opened a "mediation channel" within the mod team and these temp mods continued the same: extreme harassment and bullying, absurd self-contradictory statements, walls of text of lying to admins, all with the aim of taking over the subreddit and silencing anyone who would reveal their abusive actions. Admins gave a very short response that contextually didn't make sense - as if they barely read anything - but amounted to "we are taking no action goodbye".
  
• Right after that, in an abusive public post these temp mods had already created to slander AG (the allegations in screenshot are pure nonsense: A) rules: they were posted by that same user, without consensus, 1 hour after he joined as mod, just 2 weeks before that post. It was planned. B) post removals: only a few and entirely justified. The mods kept bullying AG for 6 whole hours just to keep a post titled "is BH +18 or +21?" up, which attracted random answers like "we were 15 and we got in" etc… reddit is anonymous. C) banner: they consistently kept wanting to "copy the official website content, style, banner" etc in obvious bad faith, while ignoring any topics that would actually help the subreddit and community. D) description: they were asked many times to discuss and contribute on a community description and/or communications but they strategically ignored the topic, while being hell-bent on nonsense like keeping "is BH +18 or +21" posts up and abusing "democratic majority" to impose nonsense… E) Overall these mods tried their BEST to provoke negative reactions in order to reframe them to do harm and silence, supposedly "unfit to mod".)
  

A new random account popped up that made very directed attacks against AG and berghain, kept making ridiculous claims and shifting all blame to the victims. This account was operated by the core group of Bad Actors, who are currently very active in another specific subreddit, but they constantly declined revealing who they are. They did that in order to commit extreme abuse while avoiding any infractions to their main accounts. And despite that account consistently committing extreme gaslighting over 2 entire weeks, reports kept returning negative and were only actioned in the very end… But some days after that, absurdly, AG was the one who got suspended. It took 1.5 months to get reinstated. In the meantime, Bad Actors kept trolling and violating berghain in many ways and literally twisted all of the above "temp mods" events as "comically their alliance broke very quickly and the troll alleged 'harassment'" - they wrote that the very "reason of existence" post of their subreddit no less.
Late January, AG made a public post briefly summarizing what has been happening all along, asking the bad actors to finally admit their wrongdoing and bring an end to all of this. The responses below were: "You're crazy, insane, you need professional help" etc. The worst one was an extremely contradictory comment by a sockpuppet account - attempting to describe what this account did unavoidably turns someone into looking like this… but here's the short version:

• 1) this account was previously used to post the entirely opposite opinion and the accurate version of events on August
• 2) it was its First post on the BH subs and highly specific about a complex topic
• 3) it was accused of being an alt of the berghain mod, on purpose
• 4) that August post was used to spread further nonsense slander in the private subreddit (especially the "several other alt accounts tried to reply" part is 100% false, didn't happen. The entire "disingenious experience" was made up.
• 5) they deleted the August post and removed the account from Pushshift to erase all tracks of being found
• 6) the user in screenshots who made all these false allegations was caught lying redhanded in modmail
• 7) just some days later, the sockpuppet account suddenly becomes active again and posts about being in Klubnacht and "having a great time" to prove legitimacy of account…

(Also in the topic of sockpuppet accounts, it is assumed that one of the mods in the specific rival sub was such an account that pretended to be real/separate and was used several times to "saintify" the main perpetrator in public comments, became their mod, the account likely remained inactive for 6+ months. When their sub was under risk/review they removed the account from mod, oddly stickied some triggering "suicide" post in its profile to repel any admins and called it a day. Interestingly the Bad Actors have called the recruitment of the temp mods in berghain as "done only to provide legitimacy to the subreddit"… while they had many alt accounts as mods that never did any mod action.)
Given all above, that January comment is complete nonsense: it implied AG is insane ("don’t know why you keep posting about this"), made ridiculous statements and repeated BA's abusive narrative ("your drama caused the death of the subreddit"), used vocabulary of the main perpetrator ("the new one was born") and entirely contradicted both this sockpuppet account and its owner, as well as the position itself ("this nonsense essentially ended the moment that subreddit was created"). And there are more condemning details, omitted due to size.
Question is: Why did the Bad Actors have to go through all this effort through alt accounts if they were right that they're supposedly "innocent" and "they were trolled by someone who made false reports"?
In February, Bad Actors kept sending messages to Admins with their false narrative, doubling down on abuse. They kept denying all wrongdoing, shifting ALL blame to AG as "insane obsessed troll", claiming the main perpetrator's suspension was "inappropriate" and blatantly lying: saying "he didn't know that ban evasion was against the rules" however the ringleader had already committed both Ban Evasion and Harassment with 3 alt accounts during Aug-Sep, before SENDING THIS to the moderator. What makes it even worse is that all Harassment he kept doing through his 3 alt accounts were of exactly the same type that got him banned from berghain in the first place: gaslighting and abusing AG. "Ban Evasion" can be tolerable if the user simply makes normal contributions but he literally kept doing the exact same extremely abusive actions, non-stop. He even posted this abomination right after he got suspended in September… everyone else's fault except his. More Context about that whole part can be found here.
The extremely absurd result: The main perpetrator got reinstated and AG got again wrongly suspended.
In his "I'm Back" post, the perpetrator avoided mentioning harassment - yet the reports that brought his suspension were for Harassment - it's very obvious by reading the threads linked above (More Context), specifically extreme sealioning and gaslighting.

The New Admin

Mid-February, a New Admin (hired end of '22) approached berghain with a message that claimed to "provide help" through something called "Community Builder Program" - that program's "help" is entirely simplistic and useless, as if targeting complete newbies to Reddit to help them with the most Basic platform features. Absolutely zero relevance to such a complex case - other than a calculated insult. He even sent this "builder" message twice, he also confirmed it was not automated.
The Admin claimed ignorance and asked "What are your issues?" - a very extensive summary was given, and additional messages as abusive events kept happening on the subreddits, a small example of indirect abuse being the rival sub adding a rule of "No Sealioning - whoever knows, knows", which is one of the abuse methods they consistently used, never admitted and never apologised about.
The Admin responded after 10 days with something short that barely made any sense at all. As if the Admin was responding by taking into account only the context given by the Bad Actors, Not the context given by AG. The admin's most absurd statement : "We see no evidence of them "manipulating" Safety or other people at reddit, the actions taken check out." This was the only response ever given by Admins currently employed by Reddit.
It is very evident that Admins only reviewed a small part of the case files, reports, content, even their own admin actions… and so on. Admins have only handled this case ad-hoc, in separate tickets as their workflow goes, Never consistently as "one case", despite being asked to do so countless times when the case was much smaller.
Over the next 2 months, at least 20 additional messages were sent to this specific admin's channel (and more to modsupport): a combination of existing evidence they overlooked, new evidence by new events but also new evidence by older events, such as the main perpetrator's abusive False Reports he did back around September, but were only found out and counter-reported in April.
That latest proof was the strongest of all - the main Bad Actor got AGAIN suspended for the #1 reason he kept shifting blame to others: False Reports in bad faith. BA's response: creation of a new account with the same name and an extremely abusive User Flair, visible to his entire community over a whole week, shifting blame to the "Obsessed Troll" yet again. And posts filled with lies in modsupport asking for his reinstatement.
The admins blindly reinstated the Bad Actor and made an incredibly violent action to entirely silence AG. From that point on, it's been obvious: the Admins are engineering actions to condemn and silence AG, also condemning the subreddit in favor of another one which was made in clear bad faith and competition, with its "birthpost" foundation being an extremely abusive post. The online Community is entirely controlled by the bad actors and apparently Admins will never look at the case again.

All in All

This is all still a short summary, about 30% of all that happened. Many parts that warrant another post of this size (e.g. temp mods) are already quickly skimmed over.
It is expected that this post will be falsely reported and removed, despite telling the truth. Due to size, this post does not even delve to the problematics of the subs' subject matter itself: berghain forums on Reddit.
The abusers' main narrative is "an obsessed troll destroyed the original subreddit, attacked people left and right, claims to be harassed by anyone who doesn't like, knows how to ban other accounts by manipulating the report system and is trying to destroy our small music subreddit with false reports". Pure, absolute nonsense. Their subreddit was literally built on abuse, slander and bad faith competition. The main perpetrator kept "advertising" his subreddit, bragging about "its success" and alleging that the victim of his countless abusive actions is "jealous of my sub's success". All about a sub that claims to be "The Berghain Community". They never admitted anything, only kept doubling down on abuse and gaslighting. Admins never properly reviewed the facts and never gave justice to the case.
Reddit is a capitalistic profit-driven platform. Reddit is NOT a safe space. Admins simply do not care, especially for small subs with complex cases. There is literally no support avenue for anything complex. There are many close supporters of Admins who will still claim "admins never take sides, they're never biased, they only follow protocol"… despite clear evidence to the contrary.
Admins were asked countless times to be open for a sincere dialogue - they never responded.
Other specific owners of private subs were asked many times to engage in sincere dialogue - they only responded at a certain time, under certain conditions, with a set agenda, in clear bad faith, derailed the "dialogue" on purpose and used the derailment itself to further incite slander and harassment in private subreddits.
Justice will prevail.

After reading Newsday’s reporting on a school security mishap at the high school I went to, I found myself extremely disappointed with their handling. The fact that non-students entered the students with weapons, not telling parents about the weapons, and suspending a student for the rest of the year after he was threatened by the intruders for trying to keep himself alive is profoundly disgusting. Conducting a hearing without a Spanish translator for a parent who has ESL, and the fact that the state education department had to intervene in the suspension matter is concerning to say the least. Although a security contractor was fired, more should be done in transparency. This should be a priority to make those to use the school system feel safe, including the students and employees. Scapegoating a student for this failure does not solve the problem, and only raises questions in the districts ability to handle situations and take ownership of this situation. Administrators who run one of the top school districts in the country should know how to handle these situations with professionalism and ownership, not blame. This is a slap in the face to the students, teachers and employees who work in the district, in addition the parents. Shame on GNPS administrators.

Critical role is an enigma. In the tabletop RPG (TTRPG) community, “the bigger they are, the harder they fall” is a fact of life. TTRPGs are a very lucrative industry, and the demand for new games, books, and shows provides plenty of opportunities for bad actors. From Satine Phoneix to Adam “forced robo orgasm” Koebel, it’s normal for this week’s darling to become next week's pariah (almost always for good reason). By that logic CR’s meteoric rise and near decade-long reign means we’re due to find out Mercer binds the souls of orphans to his dice. Until that day, while CR hasn’t stirred up drama, it’s played a (Critical) Role in several tales. Critical Role is basically the NBA of ttrpgs, and a lot of people try their damndest to get a piece of the pie.

In that vein, three people have most famously wrecked their own careers trying to cash in on CR. The first two are well known, namely the dragonborn sorcerer Orion “I want to do four things” Acaba, and former Talks Machina host (current full-time piece of shit) Brian W. Foster. However, in the background, a third career was also ended by Critical Role, or more specifically the influencer's obsession with it. This is the tale of FreckledHobo, the TikToker who tried to harpoon the white whale of Critical Role, and ended up being dragged under the water.
Welcome... to Critical Role
As they put it, Critical Role is “a bunch of nerdy-ass voice actors” who “sit around and play Dungeons and Dragons”, but they are truly so much more.
Started in 2016 by a group of some of the most iconic voice actors in anime, video games, and just general nerd media, the group's in-game chemistry, dedication to roleplaying, and just fun atmosphere took them from a subsidiary of Geek and Sundry to an empire. They have their own TV show, partnerships with major ttrpg companies including the publisher of D&D, Wizards of the Coast, and their own upcoming set of games. And from what we can tell, it couldn’t have happened to a better group of people. As a company and as a cast, CR has a long history of supporting various charities. Anecdotes from fans depict them as nothing but kind, friendly people. Don’t get me wrong, there are critiques to be levied against them about their rather aggressive fanbase and the fact their all-white party is now playing in a SWANA-inspired continent written by a white man, but it’s more things you find out over time than are warned about. When the only hobby drama that actually involves them is about playing a crappy corporate oneshot or ones where they sound like the victims you know they’ve done well.
This is all to emphasize that Critical Role is big and nearly blemish free, so any attempt to come at them best come correct, or you risk dealing with a massive company and an incredibly rabid fanbase. FreckledHobo was not correct.
Who is Freckled Hobo, and what is tiktok?
Katie Ford (aka Freckled Hobo) is technically still an influencer on the video-sharing app TikTok. TikTok is known for two things generally: The diversity/strangeness of its content, and its incredibly detailed algorithm. By interacting with a handful of videos it’s able to create a feed not only specific to your tastes but also sets you up to connect with like-minded people. This leads to incredibly tight-knit communities connected by their passions, which are generally known as ___tok, such as cooktok, booktok, kinktok, or the one we’ll be looking at here, D&Dtok. While this is appealing because it allows influencers to find and build networks with other influencers, it also means drama can never be contained to one part of the community. If anything goes down, the entire community of influencers, and the millions of collective followers, will know every detail in less than 24 hours. This means you’re one good video from skyrocketing to fame, and one bad video from complete collapse.
Freckledhobo belonged to D&Dtok. She rose to stardom by making content about her experiences playing D&D, doing skits to lip-synced audio, having immaculate makeup and cosplay, and generally being a bubbly, fun personality. It’s not an overstatement to say she was the biggest ttrpg influencer on the app, with over 1.2 million followers at the time of the drama. Through her own actual play on Twitch Dragons and dreaming, she was already well on her way to becoming a star of the ttrpg world in her own right. At least, until she decided her rise wasn't happening fast enough.
Aside: TikTok
As you’d expect, much of what transpired with this event happened on TikTok. TikTok’s horrible search algorithm, ease of purging videos, and Freckledhobos own efforts to drown out the controversy and flood her feed have made it impossible to find much of the initial creator response or to even find the video that kicked this off. It’s led to a situation that pretty much looks like that scene in south park, as you can find a ton of videos in response to what she said, but you can’t actually find the videos they’re referring to. This unfortunately means a lot of this will be “just take my word for it”. Instead of just linking random clips I’m able to find, below are three best collections of content from the event

The Claim
In late June 2021, Freckledhobo published a TikTok, but there was no silly audio, no cosplay, and no jokes. It was her, sitting in front of (we guess) her house, and on the verge of tears (I would link it but the video itself seems to have been scrubbed too thoroughly for me to find). With a sigh, she began to explain how she believed that Opal, the human warlock with silvery hair played by Aimee Carrero in the recently released Exandria Unlimited, was a stolen copy of her own character, Opal, also a human warlock with silvery hair in the aforementioned actually play.
Over a series of videos, she detailed her evidence for the claim. The full transcripts are in the document above, but it boils down to her belief that the D&D creator community is incredibly small and with her million tiktok followers, she must be big enough for her and Opal to be known about. The actual play itself has a whopping 500 followers, and this event was actually the first time I at least had heard about FreckledHobo. She cited her playlist of Opal cosplays as the method by which Carero discovered her character, seemingly pulling it from her TikToks. On the right of the photo here is Opal's character art. She laid out what she felt must be done. She had reached out to Critical Role's legal team and threatened legal action because (*check notes*) someone was playing a similar character to her. She was, however, amicable. She was willing to “settle” for something she felt would be beneficial to both of them: a guest cast role on Critical Role.
As I write this out, I need to specify that this was not a joke misconstrued by a defensive fanbase. She was not attempting to start some light ribbing she was hoping to use to build up a rapport. She seemed to fully believe her character had been stolen, and that she was providing a respectful compromise.
She would eventually say she was given an “ultimatum” from CR’s legal team and “chose to walk away”, and end this by plugging her current actual play, where Opal would be given a “makeover to look like more of an individual”. There are various videos interspersed and after this, but these are the key ones to understand what’s going on. It should also be noted that throughout this entire event, CR never put out any statements, meaning she’s the only source we have for any conversation.
Putting the Critical in Critical fail
Of course, nobody supported her, especially when she stated what she wanted in compensation. The connections between her character and Aimee’s Opal were, to say the least, light. The concept of a gem aestheticized character wasn’t exactly groundbreaking, and there was evidence that Carero had started working on the character before Freckledhobo. The only strength to her claim was the fact that the profile art for the two characters was similar, both dark-skinned women with silvery hair. However, this is where the problems started not only for FreckledHobo, but her entire actual play cast. As it was the crux of the evidence, people began to question why Opal's profile, and the profiles for much of her cast, left their artists uncredited. It would eventually be discovered that not only Opals but all of their primary artwork, including work used for merchandise, was either traced over or directly ripped from the internet without crediting the artists. Her justification was, in short “they wouldn’t be online if they cared about compensation or credit”.
At the same time another creator CertifiableNerd, someone who had played with FreckledHobo previously came forward saying Freckledhobo was rude in the campaigns she’d played with them, forcing specific character classes and alignment, lying about paying players, forcing players to purchase/make cosplays of characters for games that weren’t even off the ground, and guilting someone for not playing a session when they had a family emergency because they’d be “disappointing fans”. She also would privately claim she had played D&D with Matthew Mercer and Marisha Ray, two founding members of Critical Role, and that they said she was not “special” enough to even play a guest role on CR. I’m more writing about this because it transpired than because it had an effect because none of these details were levied when most people spoke about this. Opal was more than enough to sink this ship.
You see, Freckledhobo had made her fame within the modern niche of D&D players, which is predominantly made up of artists, POC or active allies, and Critical Role fans. Accusing a POC Critical role cast member (who had already been dealing with a lot of issues as a first-time player) of theft, accusing the community of reverse racism, and stealing art was a perfect storm of things to piss them off. It didn’t help that her response was all of this was to release a TikTok saying she expected her “fellow nerds” to have her back while she attempted to bully the Keanu Reeves of D&D into giving her a guest spot. Her entire following turned against her, and her DM promptly quit, ending her own actual play. Other creators either spoke out against her or shut her out, putting her out of favor with the algorithm. In the span of 10 days, Freckledhobo went from an influencer darling on her way to at worst whatever the modern equivalent of Attack the Show is to a toxic personality that most of the community wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole.
To get an idea of how badly she’d poisoned the well, a year later when it turned out she and several others had been invited to participate in the same event, the other creators had to release public apologies and still faced heavy scrutiny for months after.
Post campaign wrapup
I often struggle writing the endings of these things because I like to write about large-scale events liable to have ripple effects for years to come. That is not true for FreckledHobo. FreckledHobo's career is dead and will stay dead. You see, the goal of TikTok is to translate your fame to a field that will actually pay your bills, and she pretty much shut down that path entirely. In retrospect, if she hadn’t fucked up her trajectory, she would probably have had that guest cast role a year later or had them on her show. Connie Chang and Haley Whipjack, TikTok influencers whose combined follow count is a third of Frecklehobo’s, now play pretty frequently with D&D juggernauts like Travis McElroy and Brennan Lee Mulligan. Hell, it wouldn’t surprise me if she would have gotten herself a cameo in Honor among Thieves the recent D&D movie.
Instead, she is the only example I’ve ever seen of cancel culture being successful.
It has now been 2 years since this all happened, and if you didn’t look closely, you’d think things are fine. She’s even grown from 1.2 to 1.6 million followers! However, followers are to TikTok what views are to modern Twitter: they don’t mean anything. Views are the stronger metric of regular success on the site, and her videos don’t even crack 10,000, less than 1% of her total following. She attempted to re-enter the public eye through further controversy a-la a very anti-semitic goblin cosplay a year later, but it wasn’t enough to bring her back to the heights she once reached. She’s stepped away from D&D, now only doing cosplays that are absolutely D&D characters. She says she’s focusing on an acting career which must be going great as sometime between the fiasco and now, she started an onlyfans(NSFW Link). That announcement, which is pinned to the top of her feed for maximum coverage and has her shaking her ass in a bikini, has 200k views(NSFW Link). The pinned video next to it, of her (fully clothed) in horror makeup from her heyday, has 90 million.

Well if you’re browsing this subreddit then much like me, you were alone this weekend and I’m sure you’d like to change that as much as me. I won’t lie, I am going through a rough part of my life right now. It’s difficult for me to find the energy for anything at the moment and I’m just really seeking affection in general, anything that will give me a push. I don’t want to be that person who brings everyone down but I could really use someone to talk to right now. I’d really like to find someone who’s similar to me so much to the point that we do everything together and talk about everything while not having to pretend to be interested. I want someone with whom we can mutually spew our emotions onto and have those feelings reciprocated. Not an emotional punching bag, but an emotional teddy bear to hug and cuddle until everything feels better as many times as we need. There’s people who I’m sure have told you the same, they’ll be there no matter how many times you need the support, no matter how many times the insecurities and bad thoughts come back but they don’t mean it. I will be the exception, I’m not so ignorant to think some nice words and tales of relating to you will magically forever heal whatever ails you then get mad when you seek the same support again. Mental ailments are rarely temporary and I don’t care about someone because they’re perfect, caring about someone means being there no matter how many times they need you to be. It doesn’t feel like a chore, it doesn’t get old, and it never will.

A relationship is difficult for me right now, it’s been nearly half a year since I got out of my last relationship and the reasons for it ending are partially responsible for how I’ve been feeling and why it’s so hard for me to seek the comfort I so desperately crave. I will tell you about it but for the sake of not treating the entirety of the internet as my therapist, it’ll be in private. I really need the comfort of intimacy and the warmth of someone who cares. I'm not going to feel better if I just sulk and don’t move on. This is my attempt to get better, I’ll admit I’m not great right now and I don’t expect you to be either. If we can help each other heal, then I’d be more than happy :) A relationship isn’t just being there for when someone’s at their best. Even if a relationship is hard at the moment, I do want a life partner and I don’t want to be alone. Things aren’t going to get easier without you so I don’t want to hesitate. I view my other as an equal, I don’t like categorizing us into specific roles. We take care of each other and treat each other how we like to be treated, whatever that is, it's as simple as that. I don't care if you're "successful" or not, living simple lives with our days filled with love is the ultimate measure of success to me.

On the Surface:
As you can tell I can be rather… stoic but that’s largely due to my current stressors, I truthfully am goofy and fun loving but I just can’t find it in me right now. I want to return to that but without someone to light up my world it’s been difficult to just have fun and enjoy stuff. I’m definitely more introverted, you won’t catch me at any parties or really outside at all. I definitely prefer being home though the occasional outing is not out of the question and one day I’d like to travel to other countries because I think that kind of perspective is important.

The Core of My Being:
I like being a spectator to it all and if we bear witness to humanity burning or its miraculous recovery, I want to watch it with you. I enjoy watching humanity advance, less so when it devolves but I want to watch it to the end nonetheless. I’m both a realist and someone who lives with my head in the clouds dreaming of scenarios or worlds that don’t exist. I’m saying that I enjoy a good narrative and can suspend my disbelief to enjoy something but you won’t catch me refusing vaccines or ignoring blatant facts for the sake of some pseudo science or witch doctor’s remedy. I’m an atheist but I do not rule out existence after death, not because I’m agnostic but because due to the nature of potentially infinite time at some point after how many googol years with a googol amount of 0s after that, something’s bound to replicate your consciousness perfectly at some point. It’s actually a really fascinating topic I like talking about. If infinite time and infinite possibilities exist, does non existence exist? Though that’s an awfully existentially dreadful thought process considering the ramifications of infinite existence and infinite possibilities during said infinite existence. I would say I’m confidently left leaning and I don’t think I could truly get along with anyone right leaning, at least America’s definition of right leaning. Left and right seems to have just become; do people deserve to suffer or do they deserve to live good lives? Being political is not something I expected to become but how can you not be when crimes against human rights are being passed on a daily basis and at the end of the day, everything’s political. Oftentimes I imagine the perfect moment as relaxing with my significant other playing games or cuddling in a cold room under blankets.
I value that special someone above all of the existential thoughts, the bad of the world, the good of the world, they practically become my world. So many worries wash away when I’m with them. I don’t know if that’s the defense mechanism my brain created to not feel bad 24/7 but if it is, I’m currently without it.

Insecurities:
I talk of philosophy and politics here but really I spend most of my time just playing games, watching stuff, and trying to not be sleep deprived. I’m also nowhere near as well spoken, heck sometimes I feel like my speech is broken. I won’t claim to be something I’m not, I sit at home while I complain about the world doing nothing about it wishing I had someone here with me. I’m not noble nor do I really want to be, I have morals I uphold but much like most other hypocrites I acknowledge that my comfortable life is built on the suffering of others without doing anything about it. Why? My sleep problems? Am I depressed? Is that why I have no energy to do anything? Do I just think nothing I could do could help? I can’t nail it down myself, maybe it’s a mix of everything, maybe I’m just a bad person. I have always told myself that if I had wealth I would help people but if I get that kind of wealth will I just become a wealth hoarder who tries to justify my riches as something I earned rather than something given to me through incredibly lucky circumstances? If I do help people is it because I’m a good person or out of guilt? Will I die alone? I feel like I drive everyone away with my clinginess, I get paranoid often and need reassurance often. It’s something I want to work on, something I’ve been trying to work on. Hearing that someone cares about me just never gets old. I value self awareness even if it’s painful.

Socializing:
I’m definitely a socially anxious/awkward mess, especially around strangers. I do feel a large amount of anxiety in public, people can’t tell by looking at my face since I kind of go stone faced in an attempt to block everything out but yeah you’ll notice that if we go out in public. Growing up my pediatrician said I was probably autistic, never got a formal diagnosis so that’s just great. But yeah that explains why I can’t make eye contact with people, I kinda just stare at the ground and avoid their gaze at all costs. A lot of these social struggles go away to a great degree once I know you for a bit but yeah I apologize for how terrible I am at socializing at first. Don’t let my social struggles fool you though, I love cuddling and being close with my person.

I am a heterosexual male, though I’m not very masculine like at all. I may even be a bit feminine sometimes. Not that I believe any activity or manner of acting belongs to a gender but I don’t know how else to describe it. I’m definitely super affectionate and love it when my partner is too. I am open to dating demi people but I do have a libido so I don't think asexual would work out.

As stated before, I do spend a lot of my time playing video games. It’s been hard lately with me having no energy but I really do want to play more games and have a good time playing them with you! I primarily play on PC though I do have a switch. I’m primarily into platform fighters, roguelikes, open world, survival, and sandbox games. As for single player story games, I enjoy watching them through twitch or youtube but for the most part I don’t play them myself. I’d watch you play them though!

Whatever you want to play I’ll give it a shot! I will say that League bores me to death but I’ll play it for you :) I try to avoid MMOs, not because I don’t like them but because of how addicted I can get to them. I enjoy learning games in-depth so MMOs can be a fast track to addiction.
I recently got Kerbal Space Program 2 and ehhh not really worth it right now but hopefully later it will be? I’m super excited for Tears of the Kingdom! In the far off future I’m excited for Rivals of Aether 2 which is a platform fighter releasing in 2024, let me know of your most anticipated releases and I’ll see if I could play them with you!
Also I never got into FPS games but I could totally see myself playing like CoD with you or Escape From Tarkov. Any FPS really, I’m down.
I am a fan of Pokemon but with how things have been lately I don’t know how long that will last. Pixelmon is a common Pokemon mod I play for Minecraft if you want to play that! Also if I say I want to play something with you I mean it but there are often times when no matter how much I want to I'm just drained and can do little more than lay in bed so please don't think I'm making an excuse.

I really enjoy keeping up with the latest advances in pretty much everything, it could be biology, technology, astronomy, anything! I love seeing progression and I love talking about it! Really I could go on and on about what I’m obsessing about that day. I particularly love technology, ask me for my laptop specs I dare you. When I was little I always wanted to be a scientist of any kind but then insomnia and fear of college stuff hit me like a truck aaaand that’s the end of that dream.

Heck Demon Slayer could be my top 3 out of season 2’s animation alone. I don’t watch slice of life often or romance but I would with you!

I’m not going to go on and on about the tiniest little things when the main ones are covered but I’ll watch pretty much any show with you and anything really. I like random youtube videos that explain some kind of lore or mystery, sometimes mini documentaries too.
As for food I looove sushi and I’m a sucker for fast food. Okay and candy, definitely candy.
I used to play tennis but haven’t really had the opportunity nor friends to play it with and I’m way too socially anxious to seek it out. Also I will say that when we move to something like discord I type waaaay more casually. I’m not going to expect long paragraphs back and forth like we’re writing English papers for each other, I do enjoy long conversations but seriously don’t worry about having to put the utmost effort into every response, I just like making good first impressions I guess.

I’m 5’8 (172cm), 128 pounds (58kg), with curly brown hair and blue eyes. I like keeping my hair long in the winter and cutting it in the summer. I’m pretty slim in general so if you’re looking for someone large, that’s not me. I don’t work out but my work is pretty physical so at least I’m not totally inactive. I don’t have the urge to work out or gain muscle but I do want to maintain my slim figure so if I start losing control of that I’ll work out. I like to keep my face shaved because I don’t think I look good with a beard/mustache so if you’re into those I apologize. I have an average amount of body hair? I’d prefer to be completely shaved but it’s easy to lose motivation with that battle, if you prefer shaved then I’d have no problem complying. Having physical preferences makes me feel shallow, if I could make myself not have them I would but unfortunately that’s now how that works. I don’t care if you’re shorter or taller than me and I don’t care if you weigh more or less than me. All I ask is that you’re slim-average weight. I would never ask for someone to be something I’m not. I don’t care about tattoos or piercings.

Expectations of You:
I am not looking for someone “exciting” or someone to “keep me on my toes” I’m not looking for someone to cater to my every whim or anything like that. I don’t care if you’re “boring” or if you aren’t “successful”. I know it’s a common thing for people to not want a “boring” relationship and to seek something argumentative or something with constant challenges but I just want to be with you. During the exciting times, the boring times, and everything in-between, all of it will be great with you! Maybe we do argue sometimes or maybe there will be challenges but that will never be something I purposefully seek out and I don’t want that to be something you seek out either. I will not play tricks on you and I will not play mind games, I expect the same from you. We all have personal measures of success we may or may not have lived up to but what I care about most is our commitment to each other. If we have each other we can get through tough times, near the ends of our lives I want us to look back and feel that this life together was worth more than anything. That’s not saying I want us to be haphazard, I don’t want us to make poor decisions for the sake of yolo and I want us to always be rational, especially with each other. I want you to be someone I can trust to make decisions and weigh the options with a level head, I’ll try my best to live up to the same for you. Most of all I want empathy, understanding, someone to feel the utmost comfort and trust in.

Living Situation:
Currently my life is pretty relaxed, I work 3 times a week as a night shift stocker. I currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my roommate but we’re looking to move into someplace larger by the end of the year if everything works out. The internet is weirdly great for Ohio too like I have fiber and later this year we’re supposed to be getting dedicated fiber so that’s neat. I’m not attached to Ohio so the ultimate goal living location wise is probably moving to a country that won’t send you into a lifetime of dealing with the repercussions from one medical emergency.

Well you made it, I was thinking that finding someone I’d be willing to put a lifetime of effort into at least required this much effort. If I think of anything more I’ll update the post. Also about timezones, it really doesn’t matter where in the world you are. I don’t have a sleep schedule and I have most of the week off from work so it really doesn’t matter.
I request that in your response you do put effort into it, it doesn’t have to be anywhere near as long as this but at least enough so I know that you read this and enough about you so I know why you saw potential compatibility. The Main Goal:
Well if you’re browsing this subreddit then much like me, you were alone this weekend and I’m sure you’d like to change that as much as me. I won’t lie, I am going through a rough part of my life right now. It’s difficult for me to find the energy for anything at the moment and I’m just really seeking affection in general, anything that will give me a push. I don’t want to be that person who brings everyone down but I could really use someone to talk to right now. I’d really like to find someone who’s similar to me so much to the point that we do everything together and talk about everything while not having to pretend to be interested. I want someone with whom we can mutually spew our emotions onto and have those feelings reciprocated. Not an emotional punching bag, but an emotional teddy bear to hug and cuddle until everything feels better as many times as we need. There’s people who I’m sure have told you the same, they’ll be there no matter how many times you need the support, no matter how many times the insecurities and bad thoughts come back but they don’t mean it. I will be the exception, I’m not so ignorant to think some nice words and tales of relating to you will magically forever heal whatever ails you then get mad when you seek the same support again. Mental ailments are rarely temporary and I don’t care about someone because they’re perfect, caring about someone means being there no matter how many times they need you to be. It doesn’t feel like a chore, it doesn’t get old, and it never will.

A relationship is difficult for me right now, it’s been nearly half a year since I got out of my last relationship and the reasons for it ending are partially responsible for how I’ve been feeling and why it’s so hard for me to seek the comfort I so desperately crave. I will tell you about it but for the sake of not treating the entirety of the internet as my therapist, it’ll be in private. I really need the comfort of intimacy and the warmth of someone who cares. I'm not going to feel better if I just sulk and don’t move on. This is my attempt to get better, I’ll admit I’m not great right now and I don’t expect you to be either. If we can help each other heal, then I’d be more than happy :) A relationship isn’t just being there for when someone’s at their best. Even if a relationship is hard at the moment, I do want a life partner and I don’t want to be alone. Things aren’t going to get easier without you so I don’t want to hesitate. I view my other as an equal, I don’t like categorizing us into specific roles. We take care of each other and treat each other how we like to be treated, whatever that is, it's as simple as that. I don't care if you're "successful" or not, living simple lives with our days filled with love is the ultimate measure of success to me.

On the Surface:
As you can tell I can be rather… stoic but that’s largely due to my current stressors, I truthfully am goofy and fun loving but I just can’t find it in me right now. I want to return to that but without someone to light up my world it’s been difficult to just have fun and enjoy stuff. I’m definitely more introverted, you won’t catch me at any parties or really outside at all. I definitely prefer being home though the occasional outing is not out of the question and one day I’d like to travel to other countries because I think that kind of perspective is important.

The Core of My Being:
I like being a spectator to it all and if we bear witness to humanity burning or its miraculous recovery, I want to watch it with you. I enjoy watching humanity advance, less so when it devolves but I want to watch it to the end nonetheless. I’m both a realist and someone who lives with my head in the clouds dreaming of scenarios or worlds that don’t exist. I’m saying that I enjoy a good narrative and can suspend my disbelief to enjoy something but you won’t catch me refusing vaccines or ignoring blatant facts for the sake of some pseudo science or witch doctor’s remedy. I’m an atheist but I do not rule out existence after death, not because I’m agnostic but because due to the nature of potentially infinite time at some point after how many googol years with a googol amount of 0s after that, something’s bound to replicate your consciousness perfectly at some point. It’s actually a really fascinating topic I like talking about. If infinite time and infinite possibilities exist, does non existence exist? Though that’s an awfully existentially dreadful thought process considering the ramifications of infinite existence and infinite possibilities during said infinite existence. I would say I’m confidently left leaning and I don’t think I could truly get along with anyone right leaning, at least America’s definition of right leaning. Left and right seems to have just become; do people deserve to suffer or do they deserve to live good lives? Being political is not something I expected to become but how can you not be when crimes against human rights are being passed on a daily basis and at the end of the day, everything’s political. Oftentimes I imagine the perfect moment as relaxing with my significant other playing games or cuddling in a cold room under blankets.
I value that special someone above all of the existential thoughts, the bad of the world, the good of the world, they practically become my world. So many worries wash away when I’m with them. I don’t know if that’s the defense mechanism my brain created to not feel bad 24/7 but if it is, I’m currently without it.

Insecurities:
I talk of philosophy and politics here but really I spend most of my time just playing games, watching stuff, and trying to not be sleep deprived. I’m also nowhere near as well spoken, heck sometimes I feel like my speech is broken. I won’t claim to be something I’m not, I sit at home while I complain about the world doing nothing about it wishing I had someone here with me. I’m not noble nor do I really want to be, I have morals I uphold but much like most other hypocrites I acknowledge that my comfortable life is built on the suffering of others without doing anything about it. Why? My sleep problems? Am I depressed? Is that why I have no energy to do anything? Do I just think nothing I could do could help? I can’t nail it down myself, maybe it’s a mix of everything, maybe I’m just a bad person. I have always told myself that if I had wealth I would help people but if I get that kind of wealth will I just become a wealth hoarder who tries to justify my riches as something I earned rather than something given to me through incredibly lucky circumstances? If I do help people is it because I’m a good person or out of guilt? Will I die alone? I feel like I drive everyone away with my clinginess, I get paranoid often and need reassurance often. It’s something I want to work on, something I’ve been trying to work on. Hearing that someone cares about me just never gets old. I value self awareness even if it’s painful.

Socializing:
I’m definitely a socially anxious/awkward mess, especially around strangers. I do feel a large amount of anxiety in public, people can’t tell by looking at my face since I kind of go stone faced in an attempt to block everything out but yeah you’ll notice that if we go out in public. Growing up my pediatrician said I was probably autistic, never got a formal diagnosis so that’s just great. But yeah that explains why I can’t make eye contact with people, I kinda just stare at the ground and avoid their gaze at all costs. A lot of these social struggles go away to a great degree once I know you for a bit but yeah I apologize for how terrible I am at socializing at first. Don’t let my social struggles fool you though, I love cuddling and being close with my person.

Sexuality:
I am a heterosexual male, though I’m not very masculine like at all. I may even be a bit feminine sometimes. Not that I believe any activity or manner of acting belongs to a gender but I don’t know how else to describe it. I’m definitely super affectionate and love it when my partner is too. I am open to dating demi people but I do have a libido so I don't think asexual would work out.

I primarily play on PC though I do have a switch. I’m primarily into platform fighters, roguelikes, open world, survival, and sandbox games. As for single player story games, I enjoy watching them through twitch or youtube but for the most part I don’t play them myself. I’d watch you play them though!

FYI, this is a story COLLECTION. Lots of standalones technically. So, you can basically start to read at any chapter, no pre-read of the other chapters needed technically (other than maybe getting better descriptions of characters than: Adam Vir=human, Krill=antlike alien, Sunny=tall alien, Conn=telepathic alien). Adam leaned his head against the bars.
His stomach growled horribly and his head ached. It was almost like having a really bad hangover, except without the memories of having fun or doing stupid shit the night before. Instead, he was suspended in a cage high in the air, watching as the ugly ass Prodigum galumphed around the room preparing it for his next 'guests'.
He would have used a more normal word to describe how the creature moved, except for this thing was nasty, like Jaba the Hutt level ugly. Sort of made him feel like Han Solo, though he supposed that was supposed to make Sunny princess Leia. The only problem is they didn't have a Luke Skywalker or an R2D2 to come and rescue them.
He sighed as his stomach groaned.
He glanced over at the other cages, making a face at the bleached white skeleton which hung in one, and at the two humans sitting in the other.
They looked horrific.
His stomach growled again.
"Don't worry."
His cage neighbor said,
”You get used to it after a while."
"What?”
"The hunger.”
"Do they not feed you?"
The other human shook their head,
"No, that's how it works here. They put us in these cages and then use us for entertainment while we slowly starve to death, and then, once we are dead, they feed on our decomposing corpses."
The commander made a face,
"Shit, that is really, really disgusting."
She shrugged,
"You don't seem so worried."
He held up his hands,
"I can start crying if that would make you more convinced, but otherwise I don't see much use in freaking out."
"I suppose that is a good way to do things. Who knows, the clients might actually like you, and they might bother to feed you longer."
"How do you make the clients like you?"
She waved a hand,
"Ignore what the Prodigum said, they know a good singer when they hear one."
She patted her throat,
"That's why I'm not going to last long."
"Tone def?"
"No, I'm actually a voice coach, but due to extenuating circumstances, I'm not supposed to be singing for my own health."
"Oh, I'm sorry."
He groaned and leaned back against the cage,
"I'm gone in that case."
She leaned up against the cage,
"Why, you tone def too?"
"Not hardly. I can carry a tune, but I'm not a solo act. I'm sort of just average."
"For fear of sounding too much like a voice coach. Most people are only average because they weren't trained to be good. It's all about breath control, then anyone can be pretty good."
"Well then I'll just have to-"
He was cut off in that moment as the lights over his head began to flash. He looked towards the door and watched as the doors were thrown open. The Prodigum opened his huge, ugly arms wide as his guests entered the room.
Adam stood inside his cage to get a better look, displeased when he watched more of the Prodigum, Burg and a couple of Tesraki coming in. He thought he even saw an Iotin or two somewhere in there, or was that a Gromm? They filtered into the room as the 'slaves' were dragged onto the floor.
He pressed up against the bars as he saw Sunny being dragged onto the floor.
Both sets of her hands, her feet and her neck had all been chained together. She could barely move, though she was still being forced to carry a tray of drinks.
"Welcome my friends, welcome please come in, we have something new for you today and-"
His voice was mostly drowned out by the intervening voices.
He tried leaning closer to hear, and was only able to tell what was going on when the Prodigum turned towards him and held out a hand,
"Behold, the long reaching arm of my empire."
There was a sudden muttering around the room as so many impressed clients recognized Adam.
He made a point of flipping them all the bird and spitting out the bars towards one of the Burg, who leaped away with a hiss. He laughed,
"And there's more where that came from assholes."
The Prodigum gurgled in amusement, the little breathing tubes on the side of its neck opening and closing with a wet sort of slapping noise. The commander grimaced,
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, commander.”
He motioned with one hand towards Sunny, and at that moment he watched as a group of others moved forward, grabbing her by the chains and throwing her to the floor.
She choked against the chain around her neck.
"SUNNY!"
"This really is simple, commander. Behave or she dies. These are the rules. You sing, and when we want the song changed, we will throw something at you. Don't do what we want and your friend here gets it."
He grinned, his floppy bulbous cheeks dangling down towards the ground, as the little face tentacles wriggled about in the air,
"Now, get to work."
He glanced over at Sunny, his first instinct to tell the guy to screw off, but when he looked over at Sunny, and saw her pinned against the ground. Well, he knew he couldn't do anything. He licked his dry lips and took a deep breath.
Perhaps his first song shouldn't have been an adlipped ditty that began with the line.
”Suck a dick.”
Sung with great gusto and feeling, and definitely shouldn't have been followed up with the line.
”You big ugly cock sucker.”
He was stopped a moment later when some random object was launched at his head.
He fell back against the cage, suddenly alerted by Sunny's cries of pain.
He turned over to see the Prodigum pressing his hand spike into her back.
He grimaced,
"Alright, alright! Stop, just let me think of a song ok?”
Off in the other cage, the two other humans were chuckling to themselves,
"Nice On that last line. I really enjoyed the use of vibrato, you know especially on the cocksucker part. Try to get a deeper breath next time though"
"You gonna teach me to sing before we all die?”
The crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back against the bars,
"I'm going to try and keep you alive for as long as I can. For your sake and for your friend down there. I am also hoping, that since you are the commander, you have some sort of panic transponder on you, and that helping you will help me survive long enough to get out of here."
"Fair."
"Hurry up human! I don't have all day!”
Close to panic he began to sing the only thing he could think of in the moment.
The ABC song.
Yeah, sure it wasn't one of his greatest moments, but he was under pressure.
That didn't go over so well, and he had to duck out of the way as a can came soaring up towards his head.
The party was almost in full swing now.
At a time like this, he had to go back to his roots. When he was a kid, his mother had always been a fan of music from the late 20th and early 21st centuries. He had carried her love onto his adult life, so that's all he could think of on such short notice.
He went for a little Journey to start off with though he knew he wasn't nearly good enough to do any of the songs justice.
Unfortunately he did not have a nine octave range to work with.

You know how they say, don’t stop believing!
He honestly couldn't help throwing in a few songs with lines like:
“I hate everything about you”, assuming that the context would be enough that he wouldn't get something chucked at his head, but apparently he wasn't fooling anyone.
Across from him, the Vocal coach was leaning against her bars, prompting him with comments when she could be heard over the conversation from below.

"Shoulders back, try breathing from your belly and not your chest, make it deeper, open your mouth a little more. Try using an O and not an A on that line next time."
They were somewhere in between Sweet Dreams and Boulevard of Broken Dreams when his voice began to falter. The coach insisted that he needed to breathe better to last longer.
But he was so tired.
His voice was beginning to crack and he was growing light headed.
Below him on the floor he caught eyes with Sunny who was being dragged behind the Prodigum.

He was dying. Did he even remember what songs were? He was pretty sure he didn't even listen to some of these, but songs he heard when he was a kid were mostly sustaining him. Most of the songs he knew he wouldn't be able to pull off.

He was ninety percent sure if any of these long dead artists could hear him singing from rock n' roll heaven whey were getting to rock and roll him straight into hell for his egregious sins.
The sound of Silence.
He broke into a coughing fit.
Something hit him through the bars and he tried to control his breathing, as he choked back into life.
What now?
Disney songs?
Um hold on? Which ones?
He was going to die here, singing Let It Go in the voice impression of a dying toad, and that would be his legacy.
Heaven or hell, whichever, it was going to be awkward.
He barely noticed when the doors were opened again and people began to trickle out. He only noticed when the vocal coach yelled his name, and he looked up from his state of misery finally allowed to break into a horrendous coughing fit.
"That was pretty good for someone who doesn't sing, but I think we can work on your breathing and your technique, otherwise you are going to destroy yourself. Plus, if you keep singing rock songs we are going to have to teach you how to use distortion properly."
He groaned, falling onto his side one hand clutched onto one of the bars as the cage gently swayed back and forth.
Beneath him, Sunny looked up with an expression of worry, though she was dragged away and out of the room before he could do or say anything.
He held his hand out, but she vanished out the door.
This was a really shit day.
Krill had been right when he had complained that the commander needed a panic button.
Honestly, he hadn't thought he would be kidnapped again, but it turns out he was pretty wrong about that.
He wondered where the rest of the crew was, and what they were thinking.
Where did they assume he and Sunny had gone.
Did they even know something was off?
He was so thirsty.
He was definitely expecting to die here.
Because he had no good plans this time.
"You know why they like humans singing so much right?"
He groggily turned his head to the side where the vocal coach was sitting, her hands clasped in her lap before her.
He shook his head.
"It can affect the emotion of the Prodigum. I know it sounds weird, but I have been watching. The better the singing is, the better it works. Happy songs make them happy, angry songs piss them off etc. etc. Even more so than humans."
"And?"
She shrugged,
"I don't know, just an interesting thought…"
He rested his head back on the cage floor.
Sure, being a siren was kind of cool, but being a siren in a cage very much was not cool.

(Link also above this text). I have no affiliations to the author; just thought I’d share some of the great stories you might enjoy a lot!
Obviously, I have Charlie’s permission to post this and for the people already knowing the stories, or starting to read them: If you follow the link and check out the story you will see some differences. I made some small (non-artistic) changes, mainly correcting writing mistakes, pronoun correction and some small additional info here and there of things which were not thought of/forgotten or even were added/changed in later stories (like the “USS->UNSC” prefix of Stabby, Chalar=/->Sunny etc). As well as some "biggemajor" changes in descriptions and info’s for the same stringency/continuity reason. That can be explained by the story collection being, well a story collection at the start with many standalone-stories just starring the same people, but later on it gets more to a stringent storyline with backstories and throwbacks. (For example Adam Vir has some HEAVY scars over his body, following his bones, which were not really talked about up till half the collection, where it says it covers his whole body and you find out via backflash that he had them the whole time and how he got them, they just weren't mentioned before. However, I would think a doctor would at least see these scars before that, especially since he gets analyzed, treated and goes shirtless/in T-shirts in some stories). So TLDR: Writing and some descriptions are slightly changed, with full OK from the author, since he himself did not bother to correct these things before.

How can I have my account deleted and all the data related to it including the domain, after Twitter has suspended it and also decide to pretend I can't control my information my content my data. They have suspended my account without any reference to any rule broken with a practical example of what that account has done.
There are several questions that raise. Who is behind Twitter, just automated censorship system and should I file a report to Authorities to make clear that there is a Human Rights violation if not multiple ones after what they did?
-Suspension without any justification (they need to show what was broken and how!) otherwise I can too switch something off forever just becuase I don't like it.
-Removal of user rights over their own personal content, of which Twitter becomes propietary after suspension: this is pure madness and break of GDPR and human rights.
