2023.03.29 12:42 MshipQ Flemish Revolution's new cost can be slightly exploited in the upcoming April patch
So, as we know, Flemish's cost is being updated so it has a starting price of 200 food and 150 gold, with an additional cost of 10 food and 5 gold per villager you currently have.
The problem is, Flemsh's cost is calculated at the moment that you click the button, not at the moment the research is finished.
So any villagers you produce in the few seconds it takes Flemish to research are essentially free.
This is not a major issue, as you can only produce as many vills in one moment as you have Town centres. But it is still a bit of an oversight in the implementation, in my opinion.
Here's a video where I queue 50 vills from 50 TCs, then trigger Flemish at the right moment so I pay the cost as if I have 0 vills but end up with 50 Flemish Militia.

2023.03.29 12:42 Lukey19962 Aborting Conveyancer & Fees? [UK]
Hi all, I appointed a solicitor firm for selling my house in January. The house sold via modern method of auction on the 17th of January. The house is a renovation property, therefore cash sale with no chains either side.
We're now in April almost 4 months of being sold, the solicitor fobs me off on the phone and says they'll phone me back. They never do, they're only just doing my ID checks (which the conveyancer hasn't verified 2 weeks later) now, after ringing them up and pushing them to do their job.
Now I have absolutely no trust in them, and they come across a wholly incompetent, so I want to move company. I requested what the fees to abort their services would be yesterday, to which I was told someone would ring me back before closing, they didn't. I've paid the file opening fee, back in February, they received the searches but no one had even looked at them, at the end of March.
Any advice or good conveyancers to use in Leicester area?

2023.03.29 12:42 HenneBakedHam A bit of a comp
Good morning/afternoon to all you saucer drinkers out there. So the 2nd annual RSK Convention is this September in Manchester. They're still trying to sell tickets, and need to sell more; if they don't sell enough by the end of April, the event will have to be cancelled. I just wanted to spread the word and also have a bit of a giveaway. From now until 10am GMT+1 (5am EST) tomorrow the 24th of March, if you comment on this post with your favorite (or favourite? IDK how you Brits spell shit) RSK related quote you'll be in for a chance for a free ticket to the convention.
the RSK convention website:
https://www.timeryderproductions.co.uk/rsk Things to note: - In order for me to be able to pay for your ticket, you'll have to provide me with your First and Last name as well as an email address. If you're hesitant to share that info with a stranger on reddit, I understand but unfortunately you would be disqualified.... from the comp. -The way I'll choose a winner will be somewhat low tech. I will sort the comments with the oldest at the top, assign them numbers (just the main comments, not the replies to said comments) , hop on google and type in "random number picker" then use the widget thing that pops up to select the winning number. I'll then contact you via chat and we'll proceed from there. -One entry per user, please. If you have more than one comment/quote, only the oldest of your comments will receive a number. -If the chosen winner doesn't respond to my chat within 24 hours, I'll choose a new random number and contact that person.
I think that's about it. I'm hoping I haven't made a huge pain in the ass for myself, but I had a genuinely great time last year and hope to do it again. Alrite, see ya 'n that.

2023.03.29 12:42 KingLamzo Currently, how long does it take from Haneda to Tokyo Station?
I'll arrive in Japan end of April around 5pm and I have a train to catch for Kanazawa.
I was wondering considering I've completed the Visit Japan Web thing, how quickly can I get to Tokyo Station from landing at Haneda.
If someone went through Haneda recently, feedback would be super appreciated.
Bonus question: can you pick up JR Pass during or after the activation date?

2023.03.29 12:42 MadBullBen Spare tyres been outside for a few years safe to use?
Hi everyone, I've had some spare tyres sat outside for around 3 years they were new when stored and they're practically new with the vast majority of tread still useable, they are pirelli angle gt tyres so they are really decent, I thought I had stored them inside but obviously not...oops
I live in the UK so we don't really get a lot of extreme weather fortunately, how safe would these be to use? They still look undamaged with no obvious signs of degradation from being outside.
I don't want them to just get thrown out if they are still perfectly useable.

2023.03.29 12:40 Itchy-Bread Recently diagnosed with warts
Hey guys I’m a 21 year old (M),
Last year around April I had a partner which me and her were active (11-12 months ago), anyway we split up few months after.
Few weeks ago I begun to notice skin tags by accident as I looked down there accidentally, after some research I came across HPV, so I decided to go to the doctor. And as I expected, he said genital warts. But he didn’t really give me any clarity and almost rushed through my questions. He brushed it off like it’s a normal cold flu that will go away.
I’m traumatized and in shock and he wouldn’t even answer much of my questions, hoping I could find answers to this thing I have please.
- Will my immune system eventually kill this virus off?
- If I get vaccinated, once I get rid of them which he said I will eventually, does that mean I will re-infect my future partner?
- Will I forever carry this infection and always infect people?
Is my sexual life gone? I don’t plan on having any relationships for the next 4-5 years at minimum. Will I have to disclose this? Even after a vaccination?
I will go to a specialized sexual clinic soon, but for now if I can get any sort of clarity so I can sleep :(
If someone could help me out, because I’m truly lost and confused and really need help.

2023.03.29 12:39 maiziedaze Latuda and sleep
I’ve been off seroquel for 2 months now and on latuda (I also take lithium). I take my latuda around 745 each night about 45-60 mins after dinner (I found this cuts terrible nausea in the am). I think all is well with it BUT every night (except for 2 instances) I wake up 2-5 times. I hit snooze in the am a couple times, but feel overall rested during the day. I’m pretty over waking up so much, though. Anyone else have this issue? Anyone have a solution? I see my psych at the end of April. I might message her beforehand.

2023.03.29 12:37 BRAVO_Eight Radar and Satellite image of the Violent supercell that struck Punjab region in both India and Pakistan and dropped a photogenic Tornado. source :- https://twitter.com/indiametsky/status/1639265551271821315
March 23 & 24 Report:- from my personal memories ,I have been using my skymet live prediction website link
https://www.skymetweather.com/lightning-and-thunderstorm-across-india-live-status/ to keep a track on ongoing thunder activities. unfortunately didn't take screenshot due to some issues with the website (not showing clouds ) but heavy lightning activities , a straight-line squall activity on doppler and reports of Lemon to Tennis ball sized hails in nearby state of Haryana indicated that something was going sus in Punjab either on 23 or 24th. Also It's my personal assumption but i thought that after the earthquake of March 21st , something serious would take shape in that region's map. people will call "earthquake weather" a myth but i do believe in it to an extent , since i experienced this myself thrice before hand. anyways back on the topic , but my search on 25th showed a violent tornadic activity has occurred in Bakainwala/Bukainwala village in Fazilka district, Punjab state, India. and that same storm also spawned a lesser known Tornado in the Pakistan side of Punjab. Tornadoes are not so uncommon in Punjab. 1 or 2happens each year but these are some funnel clouds/dangly cloud bits too close to ground or photogenic landspouts. what happened this time was a rare supercell which was fueled by a Western disturbance bringing a cold front down in Punjab and at the same time a hot air current was brought from the Thar desert in the form of a loo, which led to a cold front storm line along the Punjab-Haryana region and then a series of violent storms called Kalbaisakhis were formed. Kalbaisakhis are usual pre monsoon squall storms similar to derechos that happen in India in the summer pre monsoonal months of March-June. in unusual cases they often grow a lot stronger and give birth to supercell thunderstorms. in India , supercells are extremely rare and only happens either in Bengal storm alley ( West Bengal , Assam, Bihar and Odisha in India and neighboring country Bangladesh) or in the Punjab plains where hot air mass ( from Deccan plateau / Thar Desert ) meet cold air mass (from Himalayas/Western disturbances ) . For a Supercell type thunderstorm to happen in Punjab is extremely rare because unlike Bengal storm alley, it's far away from the sea and moisture from pre monsoonal sea breezes are the reason chances of severe weather occurring is higher in Bengal storm alley.

About Ledgerscope Services Ltd We have about a dozen employees and could be defined as a scale-up, but in attitude and dynamism we feel much more like a start-up.
Ledgerscope aims to transform accounting data, both in terms of the literal sense of changing it from one style to another, but also in the way that businesses think about the data and how third-party developers can make use it in their own apps.
To date we have launched three SaaS products, and our newest service is in beta with customers. We are constantly improving the capability of our main product, but have also got our eyes on a bigger prize which is a service aimed at the fintech sector that will transform how small businesses manage their finances. Whilst novel, this service is a logical extension of many of the software capabilities we have already demonstrated, so with the right team we are well placed to take this to market rapidly.
We're a small and close team. We encourage independent working and using your initiative. We've been a remote team since Day One, and we try to avoid hierarchies. You'll be encouraged to question why we do things the way we do them, as we strive to make our systems as elegant as possible. We automate everything we can (including a full CI pipeline), so you won't find yourself doing boring repetitive tasks. Our software stack is .NET (specifically C#) and Azure. We make heavy use of the platform to reduce the amount of work that we have to do. Communication is primarily via IM and video calls, primarily using MS tools such as Teams.
We provide developers with the kit, software tools, and access to learning materials that they need to be productive and stay sharp.
We've been in business since April 2010. We're profitable, with cash in the bank and no debt. The business has been bootstrapped so we are not encumbered by any obligations to funders.

We promise that we'll carefully consider every application we get, if you follow these application instructions carefully.
With your application, please include the following:
Under a heading, a project I have worked on, please tell us about a project that you've worked on, including when you did it, what you tried, what you achieved, what you liked about it (and maybe what you didn't like about it), and what you learned. 2023.03.29 12:33 USSBurritoTruck Canon Connections: Picard 3x06 - The Bounty
- The episode title refers to the Commander Kruge’s B’Rel-class Bird-of-Prey, which Kirk and friends rechristined the HMS Bounty after commendering it in “Star Trek: The Search for Spock” and “Star Trek: The Voyage Home”.
- There is also a second season ENT episode titled “Bounty”.
- The crew of the USS Titan A is dropping signal buoys to throw pursuers off the scent. We see some of those pursuing ships:
- USS Trumbull NCC-72370 - Duderstadt-class; named for “Star Trek: The Motion Picture” visual effects director, Douglas Trumbull
- USS Yorktown NCC-97422 - Echelon-class; the first ship of this class we’ve seen; SS Yorktown was Gene Roddenberry’s proposed original name for the ship that would be trekking the stars; there was a USS Yorktown disabled by the Whale Probe in “Star Trek: The Voyage Home”; Tuvok’s father was said implied to have served aboard a Yorktown at the same time he was assigned to the USS Excelsior; a USS Yorktown NCC-20045 was listed on displays in “The Measure of a Man” and “Whispers”; in the Kelvin timeline, Starbase Yorktown was introduced in “Star Trek Beyond”
- USS Mestral NCC-42027 - Excelsior II-class; named for a Vulcan explorer who perished when his survey ship crashed to Earth in 1957
- At various points in the episode Frontier Day is stated to be 72 hours away, and less that 48 hours away, which means this episode would be taking place April 13 and 14, 2401.
- We see one of the Changelings aboard the Shrike execute another for speaking against Vadic, which would indicate that they’re well past the cultural taboo against Changelings harming one another, established in “The Die is Cast”.
- Doctor Crusher’s scans of Not David Marcus indicate that he has Irumodic Syndrome, a neurological condition that an alternate future version of Admiral Picard had developed in “All Good Things…” but which the Captain Picard of 2370 did not have any indication of beyond a small structural defect on his brain which might develop into Irumodic Syndrome later in life.
- In season one of this series, it was vaguely implied that Irumodic Syndrome had developed, and Picard’s gallivanting could very well exacerbate it, but this is the first episode of the series where the condition is actually named again as opposed to gestured at, and it is confirmed that it is what killed his original body.
- ”And we retaliated with a Starfleet made virus.” The morphogenic virus used to infect the Founders was engineered by Section 31. This episode Worf states Section 31 is a “Critical division of Starfleet intelligence.”.
- After the away team beams aboard Daystrom Station, two Echelon-class ships arrive:
- USS Sternbach NCC-92943; named for Rick Sternbach, production designer for “Star Trek: The Motion Picture”, TNG, DS9, and VOY
- USS Cole NCC-97621; possibly named for Lee Cole, graphic on “Star Trek: Phase II”, “Star Trek: The Motion Picture”, and “Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan”
- Daystrom Station has a bunch of familiar items in storage. According to Worf it is *”Many of Section 31’s most nefarious table scraps.” Including:
- A thalaron radiation device, like the one Shinzon used to assassinate the Romulan senate in “Star Trek Nemesis”
- Xindi Kemocite containers, from “The Shipment”
- A Genesis device, similar to the one seen in “Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan”
- The remains of Captain James T. Kirk, or at least the part of him that lived on in the Nexus and abandoned Paradise to aid Picard in “Star Trek Generations”; according to text on display, his body was retrieved by something called ”Project Phoenix”; in “The Perfect Mate” Riker comms the bridge to inform them he’ll be in the holodeck after he turns down Kamala’s advances
- A Borg vinculum, from “Infinite Regress”
- A genetically modified tribble; this is the first time we’ve seen the underside of a tribble
- A D’Arsay archive from “Masks”? An entire archive seems like it would be far too large considering, but the image on the display is shows just that
- The android bodies developed to contain the consciousness of the Arretans in “Return to Tomorrow”
- The rotating android duplication platform from "What Are Little Girls Made Of?"
- Riker’s image in his file seems to have been taken from around 2373, around the events of “Star Trek: First Contact”, which would mean it’s 28 years old at this point.
- Daystrom Android M-5-10 generates a holographic projection of a crow, in an attempt to communicate with Riker. In “Birthright, Part I” Data began to dream, of Doctor Noonian Soong forging a crow, and eventually telling him that ”[He] is the bird.”
- When Riker claims that the crow is familiar, Raffi replies, “Yeah, right, like from my nightmares,” playing on the fact that it originated in Data’s dreams.
- Daystrom Android M-5-10 generates a holographic Moriarty, played by Daniel Davis, though this is not the same Moriarty whom Geordi accidentally caused to develop self-awareness in “Elementary, My Dear Data”, but a facsimile.
- The Fleet Museum was first mentioned in “Relics”
- Among the ships at the Fleet Museum we see:
- USS Enterprise A - refit Constitution-class; ”I’m definitely a Constitution-class man.” Showrunner Terry Matalas has claimed the same thing of himself on social media
- HMS Bounty - B'Rel-class Bird-of-Prey
- K’t’inga-class battlecruiser
- refit NX-class; first appearance of this iteration of the NX-class on screen, though a young Jean-Luc Picard had a model of the ship in “Hide and Seek”
- Miranda-class
- Nebula-class; this one specifically has the more triangular shaped modular pod introduced in “Redemption II”
- USS Voyager - Intrepid-class; apparently the registry information has been scrubbed from the underside of the saucer
- Excelsior-class
- Akira-class
- USS New Jersey NCC-1975 - Constitution-class; showrunner Terry Matalas was born in New Jersey in 1975; in “Relics” Picard told Scotty there was a Constitution-class ship at the fleet museum
- Constellation-class
- Romulan Bird-of-Prey; looks to be the digital model used in “Stardust City Rag”
- USS Defiant NCC-75633 - Defiant-class; formally the USS Sao Paulo
- Sabre-class
- A second Akira-class
- It’s Geordi La Forge! From TNG! Geordi is played by Levar Burton.
- Alandra La Forge is played by Mica Burton, Levar Burton’s daughter.
- ”Every ship in this fleet is now fully integrated, which means they talk to each other.” In “Supernova, Part 1” Starfleet ships communicating autonomously caused a disaster as the Vau N’Akat living construct used that integration to override ship functions and have them destroy one another while sending out a distress call to lure more ships into the trap.
- Triggered by the sense memory of hearing “Pop Goes the Weasel” Riker flashes back to “Encounter at Farpoint” and his first encounter with Data aboard the holodeck. In “Shades of Grey” we also got to see several Riker flashbacks.
- The musical notation for “Pop Goes the Weasel” is featured in the closing credits.
- It’s Daystrom Android M-5-10! From this episode! Played by Brent Spiner!
- Daystrom Android M-5-10 is apparently a hybrid of android and synthetic construction, created by Altan Inigo Soong, played by Brent Spiner.
- Daystrom Android M-5-10 contains the personalities of Lal, B-4, Lore, Frank Hollander, A.I. Soong, and Data.
- A.I. Soong claims that the Daystrom Android M-5-10 has “the wisdom, and the true human aesthetic of age.” “Inheritance” established that Data’s systems were already programmed to replicate the appearance of aging.
- The disassembled B-4 is also on Daystrom Station, apparently having been relocated since we last saw it in “Remembrance”.
- You can tell B-4 was a prototype because his pelvis is as smooth as a Ken doll, whereas Data was “Fully functional, and programmed in multiple techniques.”
- “I thought Data died. Twice.” Three times if you want to count “Time’s Arrow, Part II”, “Star Trek Nemesis” and “Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 2”. Yet here he is again, his consciousness integrated into Daystrom Android M-5-10. In “Bar Association” it’s revealed that Rom gave himself an infection by performing too much self Oo-mox.
- Geordi denies his help to Picard and the Titan A. In “Maps and Legends” when Zhaban suggested Picard contact Riker, Worf, and Geordi, Picard claimed, “They would do it in a heartbeat, and that's precisely why I cannot ask them. They would put themselves at risk out of loyalty to me, and I do not want to have to go through that again.”
- The Klingon cloaking device is modeled off the design featured in the “Klingon Bird-of-Prey Owner’s Workshop Manual” published in 2012. It is distinctly different from the one Quark and Rom stole from the IKS Rotarran in “The Emperor’s New Cloak”.
- Seven states “If I’m correct, we’ll have to decloak in order to beam them up.” This specific cloaking device was active while Scotty beamed spock aboard the Bounty so Kirk could go on a date and Kirk after the date, while he beamed Uhura off the USS Enterprise CVN-65, Chekov out of an interrogation room, and while he beamed Doctor Taylor up from the park while she was making a scene, all in “Star Trek: The Voyage Home”.
- While Picard, Geordi, and Worf are questioning Daystrom Android M-5-10 exhibits Lore’s characteristic tick, as well as B-4’s simpler affect.
- Daystrom Android M-5-10 reveals that the weapon the Changelings stole and covered up with the theft of the portal weapon, is the human remains of Jean-Luc Picard, whose body died in “Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 2”. In “Mugato, Gumato” we see one mugato stroke its horn while watching

Got pushed back into the april round though with no explanation...anyone who applied in previous years - is this normal? does uoft hate ib? applied for life sci at st.george btw

Frankly, the subreddit is dead. I have been removing spam and repost bots from the sub, but I believe I have not posted anything in a long time. I will start posting some arts and memes in the following days in hope of revitalising the sub, and I would like to selfishly ask you to do that as well.
Remember that April 1st is the Day of the Bird Up so that is something you can prepare for.
Thank you,
