You can’t survive without a car in most places in America
2023.06.10 03:53 whendovescry2022 You can’t survive without a car in most places in America
I reflect on my life and feel so much disappointment. It’s crazy how one event can detour and destroy your life like a car breaking down. Especially in areas with NO public transportation or unreliable public transportation. I bought older car cash with settlement money from car accident I was passenger of I used the entire 4k to buy a used car. I was so happy to own a car it was 2006 ford I bought at the end of 2017. My previous car I bought in cash was on its last leg. If I ever lost my housing at least I have my car. (Grew up in poverty and been homeless during childhood ) Well the transmission went out on January 2019. The tow truck driver of well known towing company in my area that picked up my car said he could fix my car for lower price because all the repair shops quoted me $3k to fix I couldn’t come up with that money. He said he would fix it for $800. He ended up being scammer that disappeared with my car never fixed it and stole my money I had to borrow. The police didn’t consider it stolen and said that’s civil case despite him being known criminal in other states. I eventually track my car down. In meantime, I lost my job, I had to drop out of college for nursing (it was 2 hour commute) and my health declined ended up on social security . I couldn’t come up with $3k so I ended up selling the car for junk. I couldn’t afford to keep a car paying insurance and the taxes . Fast forward years later , still no car and feel I am not ever getting out of this. Struggling with my health but tired of being so poor living on $920 per month . I tried making money online and side hustles it seems fruitless. The current inflation is making it worse. Remote jobs are non existent or scams. Any job I can get with physical location I need a car. But to get a car I need the money. It’s a constant loop I see no solution for. No I have no one to help me or let me use or borrow car. I live in the middle of nowhere, no where I can walk to or bike to in order to work (don’t even own a bike). So rural there’s no Ubers available can’t afford it even it was. No there are no charities, churches, or other things to help. The people I live with is not option to help either. Can’t join the military because my bad health.
If you have car and have no support system do whatever you can to keep it. Because once it’s gone you are screwed if you live in area with no public transportation, unreliable public transportation, or rural areas. Your life shouldn’t be destroyed over a car. To think I was so close to finishing college and now I never will finish and left with student loan debt. After fighting all my life to get out of poverty, I’m never getting out. Life feels like where some of us are always at a lost no matter how hard you work or fight to get out of it. If you live somewhere with Public transportation consider yourself lucky.

2023.06.10 01:28 JustAnotherTRALol I just finished Persona 3 for the first time. Here are my thoughts on what I'd like for Reloaded.
Hello everybody, hope you're all doing well. Today I finished Persona 3 for the
first time. Not in celebration of Reloaded being 'announced'
(or, rather, leaked on Instagram); it's entirely coincidental. In fact I crossed the 100 hour threshold when I first was notified of the trailer's leakage on Twitter.
(Learning that the game I just poured 115 hours into is soon going to be (presumably) obsolete is certainly a feeling!) As Persona 3 is therefore pretty fresh in my mind, and I have no nostalgia or years-long cemented ideas about what makes it work or what doesn't, and as I also have absolutely firm idea about the content in P3P or P3:FES (I have only played the basic vanilla version, although know some vague stuff about content in FES and Portable), I figured I might have an interesting perspective on the whole Reloaded business that your average Persona 3 fan might not have (given I have only just become one as of... today). I'm sure I'm not alone, but I imagine there aren't
too many people out there who played & finished Persona 3 for the first time this month.
Please understand this is only my personal opinion and I am only intending to present this as my personal opinion. If you have disagreements, or want to share your own opinions, then I fully invite you to do so!
- Tartarus needs a rework. I imagine this is something everybody agrees on. The Metaverse from Persona 5 feels largely like a better Tartarus to me, so I have faith that if they touch up Tartarus to make it better they can do it, but to be honest I'm still not entirely fond of the Metaverse in Persona 5 either. It worked well as a complement to the Palaces but if Persona 5 were just the Metaverse it would attract a lot more criticism I'm sure. Frankly the very concept of 'grind through ~210 randomly generated floors that are more or less monotonous corridors full of repeating enemies with nothing interesting to do' seems fundamentally flawed, so I don't really have a suggestion on how to fix it, which is a shame. All I know is Tartarus is a problem that hopefully the game designers will address. I have multiple friends who I would not recommend Persona 3 to simply because I know they'd abhor Tartarus, and I can't pretend I enjoyed every single floor (especially when grinding it for hours only to get Hama'd and lose all progress and do it again).
- Please give more to do in the evenings. From my understanding both P3P and P3FES improved on this, by adding an arcade or moving the Devil Arcana social link to the evening etc, but in the vanilla game the lack of activities to do in the evening is fairly dire. As a new player who went in blind, it took me a while to fully accept that there was literally nothing let for me to do in the timeslot with months of game left. From then on it always felt like I was 'wasting' time. I'm sure there are all sorts of things they can think of to fill the time slot in though.
- Making romance social links optional would be nice. It's not exactly going to change the whole game, but I'd appreciate platonic options with the girls as opposed to being forced into a romantic option. Of course, this would have gameplay ramifications - in Persona 3, social links can reverse, and my understanding is that going out with a girl past ~rank 5 while also going out with another girl past ~rank 5 will negatively impact that social link and make it reverse, so the fact all female social links are romantic in nature does actually have an effect on gameplay. To that I'd suggest that a platonic option would not cause jealousy in other girls like a romantic route does, and that way it gives more agency to the player as they can effectively choose a 'difficulty' option as it were, but if they kept the jealousy mechanic in I don't think it'd be too weird.
- More Social Links with SEES would be great. Again, to my understanding Persona 3 Portable lets you play as a female main character, and in doing so allows you to substitute several social links with other options, so you can have a Junpei social link and an Akihiko social link and so on, while depriving you of the male MC alternatives. This was a pretty good solution, allowing social links with them while maintaining the balance of the arcana, but personally, coming from vanilla Persona 3, I don't like the idea of splitting the social link options up like that. I think a major strength of Persona 3 is the cast of SEES and their dynamic, and I'd love to spend time with Akihiko or Junpei without being railroaded from other options. How they'd accomodate for this I'm not sure - I'd suggest inventing new arcana but that would have so many ramifications for the game it's not even funny - but either way, if there's truly no female MC option like in Portable, I'd still really want a way to social link Akihiko or Junpei as Makoto somehow. By that same token, I would like an Aegis social link (which I believe FES and Portable both have), and I'd also like a Ken Social Link (which I believe neither have) and a Koromaru Social Link (which might seem absurd but, to that I say, very well.)
- Allow the option to manually control party members. Like in Persona 4 and Persona 5, I'd like you to be able to manually control your party members and choose their exact moves. This would be a major convenience for so many reasons and would have saved me from dying so many times. (Seriously, I set you on Healing/Support because I want healing, Yukari, please stop casting Wind Break Yukari, I need Diarahan.) That said, I do feel like the inability to manually control your party members is kind of part of the identity of Persona 3, and is a small part of what sets it apart from the later modernsonas. You might disagree and call me silly for latching onto archaic mechanics, but I don't see why more options is a bad thing. It would be nice if, when starting a new save, you were presented the option for manually taking over party members or leaving it to the AI like in the original game. I doubt many people would actually choose the older style if given the option, but I'd like it.
- Optionally remove reversing Social Links. Social Link reversals make a lot of sense, and I really like the idea of reversing or even breaking Social Links, and kind of wish the later installments followed suit now that I've seen them. With that said, the fact they can choose to no longer like you because you spent ~50 days not talking to them seems a little fast - Fuuka never ended up forgiving me in my playthrough. I'm worried that Reloaded might try to modernise the game to modern sensibilities and choose to axe social link reversals altogether, to align it more with the later installments - to that I say, please just make it an option instead of removing it for everyone.
- Animations need to be (optionally) faster. My plathrough of vanilla Persona 3, according to the game, was 115 hours. This does not count the amount of times I died, lost all my progress, and had to try again. Out of those many hours, I wonder just how many was waiting for a battle animation to play out, or an all out attack finish, etc. Don't get me wrong, it was very stylish for 2006, and I'm sure Reloaded will make it all the more stylish - but an option to make them go by faster would be great. Faster battles would be way more engaging in my opinion, but it would be stupid to say they need to be faster mandatorily or something.
- More streamlined user interface. To read the notes from Tartarus, you need to navigate to the main menu, then System, and then Dictionary. I know we're outright told this, but it's still a little cumbersome. If I go to the Velvet Room and figure out I want to dismiss a Persona, I need to leave the Velvet Room, open the main menu, dismiss a persona, then return to the Velvet Room. There are face buttons not used when hovering over a Persona in the Velvet Room - why not let me dismiss them from there? The Battle UI was fine enough, and though I lament the loss of the gun cylinder style as apparent in the trailer, I broadly welcome the fact everything seems to be dedicated to buttons now, which will hopefully drastically speed up the pace of the game.
- Maybe different voice recordings? I imagine this one's going to be exceptionally controversial, so I'm sorry if this upsets anyone. Please understand I do not mean disrespect to any of these professionals or their work, and do in fact respect it greatly. With that said, some of the performances (not to name names) felt distinctly off and underwhelming. I feel it would be a sore misopportunity to reuse the same voice lines. I wouldn't mind a change in cast, but perhaps the problem was not the actors/actress' abilities but lack of direction (as often accompanies JRPG dubs). If that is the case, maybe better direction/experience would be enough to improve it, I don't know. I'm extraordinarily ignorant on the goings on of Persona 3, so maybe the voice talent already changed for subsequent games. Whatever the case, I'd like them to be rerecorded please.
- Accessible fast travel would be a blessing. The map might not be large by a long shot (although a bigger map with more to do would be excellent!) but that doesn't change the fact that going from school to Naganaki Shrine back to school is a bit of a commute. It only takes one or two minutes, but given it's something I found myself doing every single day before doing Social Links, that time added up a great deal. (It didn't help that I only discovered the guy in class that gives you a map when you talk to him very late in the game). Letting you simply press a button or two and teleport anywhere at your leisure would really help things. By that same token, choosing which side of Iwatodai Station to teleport to would be nice - not a gamechanger by any means, but it's small quality of life touches that really make a remake feel that much nicer.
- Let us hang out with SEES more! As said above, I think one of the great strengths of Persona 3 is the cast of characters and the group dynamic. With that said, it felt like whenever I entered the Dorm, there was nothing to do... because there was nothing to do. I could talk to everyone, but they only had 2 or 3 lines that would only change every week or so. I would not mind losing out on some evenings for more scripted events where we hang out, or let us waste our time playing games or going out. Maybe I can invite people to Chagall Café with me, or have somebody accompany me Karaoking, etc. I haven't got around to playing Persona 5: Royal yet, but knowing the stuff they added for activities with the Phantom Thieves has made me very interested in repurchasing the game just for that, and the same goes with SEES - letting the group dynamic really feel like a group would be super great. I want more mandatory events where we talk, more dialogue, and optional ways to spend time in the evenings with everyone too. Spoilers ahead! Also, it would help flesh out Shinjiro. Spending more time with him through group dynamics would make his fate more emotional in my opinion - although, having even stronger bonds with everyone, the same goes for the ending as a whole.
- Please remove the second cycle limit for a certain event. Spoilers ahead! In Persona 3, on the 'second cycle' (essentially New Game+), you can fight Elizabeth, the Velvet Room attendant, as the ultimate battle at the top floor of Monad. As someone who ended up grinding my entire party to Level 99 in anticipation of the final boss, and found myself underwhelmed by a lack of challenge (which I suppose I should have seen coming!), I really would have liked being able to face this optional boss in my original playthrough instead of being railroaded into what basically amounted to a whole other playthrough (albeit likely much more brief). This is just a nitpick, I know... still, Monad felt very strange to me, given it existed yet seemed much tougher than anything in the story, and with the only reward from getting to the top of it being something entirely superfluous by the time you get there (1 million yen is a lot of money, but you already have millions when you're at that point, and have no need for more.) In retrospect it feels entirely purposeless without Elizabeth being there, yet in the original playthrough, she is not.
- Please give better skill inheritance with manual skill selection. Once again, to my understanding, I believe Persona 3 FES might have improved on this. Whatever the case, building Personas with good skills is really hard to do in vanilla Persona 3 without spending ages going back and forth from the fusion menu to inspecting the result and seeing if the game has rolled the dice to allow you to get what you want. Seriously, getting a Succubus with Mabufudyne for an Elizabeth quest took maybe 30 minutes of pressing circle and x over and over again until the result finally popped up. (Although, if I'm honest, at that point a rhythm had developed and I backed out of the Succubus with Mabufudyne... we've all done it.) Given we have a sort of pseudo-agency in selecting skills by retrying over and over again in the first place, genuinely what is the point in not giving us full agency? Of course I'm not saying we should be able to choose any skills from the personas to be fused; it still needs to meet the rules of skill inheritance, but giving us more control and selecting a specific skill or two to inherit rather than leaving it to chance would really make for a more convenient time. I firmly believe the only thing that not giving us manual choice does is waste our time.
- More frequent save options. Losing progress sucks in any game. It's true that being able to save every 5 seconds kind of erodes the feeling of difficulty in a game as it artificially reduces the punishment of failure, but Tartarus is structured such that, if you are particularly grindy or unlucky, you could go an entire hour or more between save points (or, so it feels, anyway.) Dying at that point is no fun at all, and in a game where instant death is a real possibility from Hama and Mudo skills, and when there are some enemy compositions that have both Hama and Mudo while you are unlikely to have a Persona that is able to nullify both at once at that stage... the two do not mix terrifically well. (This mixes even worse with the fact your fellow party members are uncontrollable, but it seems from the little footage shown they are manually controllable in Reloaded.) Giving more save options in Tartarus would be great. Perhaps they could make it so you can save every few floors, or they add a new 'save room' as a randomly generated structure to each floor in Tartarus that you need to find, or at least some other way to make saving a bit more frequent. Additionally, the way Persona 3's elevators back to Floor 1 could do with a quality of life improvement too - when you reach a Guardian Floor, you can teleport back to 1F and everybody restores full HP and SP, and then you can go to the clock to save and then return to the elevator back to the Guardian floor. My question is: what does this journey actually add? It takes a lot of extra time to go to a screen, wait for a new environment to load, then move, then save, then return and repeat the loading again. Why not just let people save and restore full HP and SP on these floors automatically instead of demanding a journey down for that? Additionally, to my knowledge, you can only save outside of Tartarus by going to the Dorm, which means, if you're at school, you need to first finish your afternoon time slot somehow to save. This isn't the end of the world, but being able to simply manually save at any time while outside of Tartarus just feels sensible to me. It's not exactly like going to that contract to save is particularly immersively diegetic, is it, so why restrict saving to just there?
- Maybe context-sensitive pleas for Tartarus? I'm not sure how to easily word this gripe. Essentially, pretty much every week, especially before a Full Moon, the SEES members will ask you to go to Tartarus. They'll often say they want to get stronger, or they're scared the next enemy will be too tough, and stuff like that. I'd like it if these messages only occurred if the game recognises that you are too weak/roughly strong enough to beat that respective boss, and have not fully explored Tartarus as far as you can so far, and I'd like it if they gave a more affirmative 'we're strong enough' line if you're firmly overlevelled for the next encounter and have fully explored Tartarus to the best of your ability. I found myself being way too strong for each encounter because I was always overprepared, and this was in part because I wanted to desperately avoid the soft-locking issue I could anticipate in a time-based game like this, but also because I felt constantly pressured by the NPCs in the game to get stronger even when it was unnecessary. You might consider this a very small nitpick, and you'd be right! But it would alleviate a certain level of anxiety from certain types of cautious gamers like myself, and would make spending your time doing social links or who knows what else more enjoyable. I grinded for a good hour or two before every full moon, and, frankly, with how easy all those encounters are, I think they were all total wastes of time. If the dialogue in the game reflected that we were firmly strong enough, maybe I wouldn't have done that. Hell, Akihiko and Yukari were asking to get even stronger when they were already Level 99 towards the end of the game.
- A way to skip Shuffle Time? Maybe there already is a way to skip Shuffle Time that I never found out about, in which case I will feel very silly. However, Shuffle Time is often times a waste of time - maybe none of the options are anything you want, or at least nothing worth it - given (to my knowledge) it's guaranteed to happen after every All Out Attack and every time you finish the final blow, it's bound to occur a lot, and a fair deal of the time I felt that Shuffle Time was something I'd actually prefer to avoid rather than take part of. If you could just press square or start or whatever to skip it, that'd be great. (I'm aware you can just skip the shuffling animation itself, but I mean a way to skip the mechanic altogether. Maybe even an option to opt-out of Shuffle Times even happening.) And if it turns out that was always an option and I'm just stupid, then a more clear indication that that's an option would likewise be appreciated.
- Simply additional content. More locations, more shops, more events, more dialogue, more days, more weapons... I don't really mind. It's a good game, but having just played Persona 3, my first thought after the game ended was 'I wish I bought Persona 3 FES instead, because I want to do more.' The base game, I believe, doesn't have social link epilogues, which FES does, so I feel like even there I haven't had the full experience. Now of course, if it had The Answer and other FES-exclusive content, that would be wonderful, but assuming it doesn't - I'd still super appreciate more new content just generally. I wouldn't even mind if they padded out the length of the game by a whole other month just to let some more scripted events or dialogue or social links happen. Sure, making the game end on a different month would be changing the story a little... but from where I am, being a newbie to the game who just finished it today, I don't think I'd mind that if it let me enjoy and experience the world and characters some more. I'd see it as an enhancement, and whatever happens - the originals will always be there, and no changes or additions will take away the marvellous impact and legacy that Persona 3 had, has, and always will continue to have regardless of what Reload does or does not do.
Well, that's just about everything I think I'd want from Reloaded. I really hope it's a lot of fun. Having just played Persona 3 myself, I doubt I'll get it any time soon personally unless it has The Answer or a really large amount of exclusive content... but honestly, even on the day of playing the original, I'm genuinely kind of interested in it already.
What do you think? What do you want to see out of Reloaded? Do you think anything I suggested would be bad for the game or is just nitpicky? Do you agree with everything on the list and have additional ideas? Do you just want to share your own thoughts? Thanks for reading and have a great day everyone.
(P.S., if you're wondering what my impressions of Persona 3 are now that I've completed it for the first time, I liked it.) submitted by

2023.06.10 00:55 AceUptown E36 M3 - No crank
My 1995 M3 stopped cranking about a week after wrapping up a timing chain job. 10/94 build date, EWS I.
It push starts, doesn’t jump start. Runs great.
Done/verified/ruled out so far:
•Replaced Starter •Replaced Alternator (it was faulty) •Replaced Battery •Verified all grounds •Fuel pump primes •OBC works, can’t be fuse 31 •Attempted OBC code entry
Only time it cranked after the issue started is after I stalled. I cranked it straight from pos. 3 (run) and it cranked like it was low on juice, but started nevertheless.
Another detail is last time I tried cranking it and left it in pos 3, I’ve heard repeated clicks from above the pedals. Did not sound like the starter as it would be closer to the middle of the car. Sounded like a relay engaging and disengaging. Which relays are located there?

2023.06.09 18:26 Professional_Disk131 Tinka Drills 98 Meters At 8.8% Zinc Including 36 Meters At 19.0% Zinc At Ayawilca And Provides Exploration Update (TSXV:TK)(BVL:TK)(OTCQB:TKRFF)
| https://preview.redd.it/13ojjx1iq05b1.png?width=413&format=png&auto=webp&s=206488888b91ac7f9bcc2c3d61b995cc70ee58d5 Vancouver, Canada – Tinka Resources Limited (" Tinka" or the " Company") ( TSXV & BVL: TK) ( OTCQB: TKRFF) is pleased to announce results for five recent drill holes from the Ayawilca Project and to provide an update on the Company’s exploration activities. All five drill holes were resource confirmation holes from West Ayawilca, and all intersected strong zinc mineralization. The Company has now successfully completed its 11,000-metre drill program at Ayawilca which commenced midway through 2022. Two drill rigs were demobilized during May 2023 and independent mining consultants have now been engaged to complete an updated mineral resource estimate. The 2022-23 drill program has significantly improved the geological model of the mineralized zinc bodies at West and South Ayawilca and improved the confidence in the continuity of mineralization. One exploration hole at South Ayawilca has results pending. The next steps for the project include an updated resource estimate to be announced during Q3 2023 and the continuation of low impact exploration. Key Highlights – Drill hole results from West Ayawilca: Hole A23-216 - 97.9 metres at 8.8% zinc and 16 g/t silver from 197.90 metres depth, including
- 35.8 metres at 19.0% zinc and 35 g/t silver from 260.0 metres depth, including
- 13.5 metres at 25.3% zinc and 44 g/t silver from 265.5 metres depth.
Hole A23-217 - 71.9 metres at 5.5% zinc and 8 g/t silver from 186.1 metres depth, including
- 45.8 metres at 6.4% zinc and 10 g/t silver from 210.4 metres depth, including
- 4.85 metres at 15.2% zinc and 23 g/t silver from 210.4 metres depth.
Hole A23-213 - 30.4 metres at 6.0% zinc from 180.0 metres depth, including
- 1.2 metres at 37.2% zinc from 207.3 metres depth, and
- 30.5 metres at 5.1% zinc from 260.0 metres depth.
Hole A22-211 - 38.15 metres at 6.3% zinc, 1.1% lead and 28 g/t silver from 151.0 metres depth, including
- 6.6 metres at 9.2% zinc, 5.2% lead and 81 g/t silver from 182.55 metres depth.
Hole A22-214 - 13.1 metres at 3.7% zinc from 243.9 metres depth
True thicknesses of these intercepts are estimated to be at least 75% of the downhole thicknesses. Dr. Graham Carman, Tinka’s President and CEO, stated: "The 2022-23 drill program has been one of the most successful drill programs since Tinka began exploring at Ayawilca. The latest results highlight the quality of the zinc mineralization at Ayawilca in terms of both grade and thickness and provide strong confidence in the geological resource." "We have confirmed at West Ayawilca that two pipe-like sulphide bodies hosted by brecciated limestones extend through the 100-200-metre-thick limestones and are connected by massive sulphides at the base. At South Ayawilca, very high-grade massive sulphide zinc mineralization is concentrated in a folded limestone at shallower depth - this discovery has the potential to be a ‘starter mine’ which could provide early payback." "Our contention that Ayawilca is one of the best zinc exploration and development projects in the Americas has been reinforced by the recent drill program. I wish to thank our staff, our stakeholders at the project and our drilling contractor for their hard work which has enabled this drill program to be successfully completed. We now look forward to the mineral resource update for the Ayawilca Zinc Zone and Tin Zone deposits, which will be released during Q3 2023. In the meantime, low impact exploration is continuing at Ayawilca and at our nearby Silvia copper-gold project." Discussion - Geology of the Zinc Zone Deposits at Ayawilca A total of 11,115 metres were drilled in 33 holes at Ayawilca during the 2022-23 drill program (see Figure 1). Around 90% of the drill holes were focused at West and South Ayawilca for resource confirmation and definition purposes. Two holes were also drilled at Central Ayawilca for the dual purposes of exploration and a hydrological study. The 2022-23 drill program has considerably improved our understanding of the geology of the Ayawilca Zinc Zone and improved the confidence in the geometry of the mineralized bodies at West and South. Two of the most important conclusions from the drilling include: - At West Ayawilca, two pipe-like zinc sulphide bodies hosted by brecciated limestones extend through the 100- to 200-metre-thick limestone sequence along a northwest-southeast trend and are connected by massive sulphide mineralization at the base of the limestone;
- At South Ayawilca, very high-grade massive sulphide zinc mineralization is concentrated within a tightly folded limestone at relatively shallow depth - this discovery has the potential to be a ‘starter mine’ which could provide early payback of capital.
West Ayawilca The footprint of the zinc mineralization hosted by limestones at West Ayawilca covers an area of approximately 700 metres by 300 metres projected to surface (see Figure 1). Drilling in 2022-23 focused on defining the geometry of two pipe-like breccia bodies which host continuous, semi-massive sulphide (SMS) mineralization within the limestone. The breccia bodies have surface dimensions of between 100 to 200 metres and are elongated along a northwest-southeast direction. Zinc mineralization extends over a vertical thickness of between 100 to 150 metres through the entire brecciated limestone sequence up to the overlying sandstones. The breccia bodies are connected by massive sulphide (MS) zinc mineralization at the base of the limestone. Zinc sulphide (as sphalerite) is the dominant economic mineralization. Silver and lead (as silver sulphosalts and galena) is typically more common around the edges of the zinc bodies and in carbonate-rich veins. Iron sulphides are common including pyrite, marcasite, and pyrrhotite. Carbonate (siderite, an Fe-rich variety) is the dominant gangue mineral. The new interpretation of the geology at West Ayawilca is the result of a redesigned drill program in 2022-23 which targeted the northwest-southeast trend rather than the late-stage east-west trending veins which outcrop. All 13 holes at West Ayawilca in the 2022-23 program were drilled on an east-west orientation (mostly angled to the west) in contrast to previous holes which were mostly orientated north-south. The improvement in vertical continuity of the mineralization is positive for the project, as it will likely lead to more cost-effective mining with less dilution. The brecciation of the limestones is interpreted to have occurred as result of karst dissolution and collapse of the limestones, possibly during the early stages of hydrothermal activity. The mineralization is focused within the hinge of a major anticline fold immediately adjacent to the Colquipucro Fault (see cross sections, Figure 2). A longitudinal section showing the geometry of the zinc mineralization along the northwest-southeast trend is shown in Figure 3. Photographs of the typical massive sulphide zinc mineralization and the semi-massive sulphide breccia mineralization at West Ayawilca is shown in Figure 4. South Ayawilca The highest-grade area of zinc mineralization at the project is located at South Ayawilca. Massive sulphide (MS) mineralization has been identified over an area (projected to surface) of approximately 400 metres by 200 metres elongated in a northeast-southwest direction (see Figures 1 and 3). Very high-grade massive sulphide zinc mineralization is focused in the hinge zone of an anticline fold structure. Drill results including cross sections from South Ayawilca can be reviewed in the following disclosures – see news release January 9th 2023; and news release March 6th 2023. Update on Exploration Activities at Ayawilca Tinka’s geologists have recently sampled manganese-altered outcrops at Ayawilca which are interpreted to be surface expressions of the Silver Zone discovery ( see news release May 2nd 2023). The results of this sampling, together with the final drill hole at South Ayawilca, will be announced as soon as assays become available and interpreted. Other news: Tinka recently received approval for the extension of the environmental permit (EIAsd) at Ayawilca for a period of three more years until May 2026. The modified and extended EIAsd has combined the two previous individual permits at Ayawilca and Colquipucro into one large permit which also incorporates several undrilled exploration targets as well as potential future mine components. The successful approval of the EIAsd is an important milestone for the project, as it will allow the Company to continue with its exploration and development plans into the medium term. Table 1. Summary of drill hole results in this release https://preview.redd.it/6vzj2aukq05b1.png?width=1675&format=png&auto=webp&s=bf8d8212ec7fa6b527fb318b4441969a8ec0eb31 * Hole A23-219 at Central Ayawilca was primarily a hydrological hole drilled for the purposes of understanding the underground aquifer. This hole intersected minor zinc and tin mineralization, which will be incorporated into the updated resource estimate. Note on sampling and assaying Drill holes are diamond HQ size core holes with recoveries generally above 80% and often close to 100%. The drill core is marked up, logged, and photographed on site. The cores are cut in half at the Company’s core storage facility, with half-cores stored as a future reference. Half-core was bagged on average over 1 to 2 metre composite intervals and sent to SGS laboratory in Lima for assay in batches. Standards and blanks were inserted by Tinka into each batch prior to departure from the core storage facilities. At the laboratory samples are dried, crushed to 100% passing 2mm, then 500 grams pulverized for multi-element analysis by ICPMS using multi-acid digestion. Samples assaying over 1% zinc, lead, or copper and over 100 g/t silver were re-assayed using precise ore-grade AAS techniques. Samples within massive sulphide zones were also assayed for tin using fusion and AAS finish. Figure 1. 2023.06.09 18:24 Professional_Disk131 Tinka Drills 98 Meters At 8.8% Zinc Including 36 Meters At 19.0% Zinc At Ayawilca And Provides Exploration Update (TSXV:TK)(BVL:TK)(OTCQB:TKRFF)
| https://preview.redd.it/0vyuotnjp05b1.png?width=413&format=png&auto=webp&s=521c739472ed5476daa88dcc85f8b702a2d01419 Vancouver, Canada – Tinka Resources Limited (" Tinka" or the " Company") ( TSXV & BVL: TK) ( OTCQB: TKRFF) is pleased to announce results for five recent drill holes from the Ayawilca Project and to provide an update on the Company’s exploration activities.
True thicknesses of these intercepts are estimated to be at least 75% of the downhole thicknesses. Dr. Graham Carman, Tinka’s President and CEO, stated: "The 2022-23 drill program has been one of the most successful drill programs since Tinka began exploring at Ayawilca. The latest results highlight the quality of the zinc mineralization at Ayawilca in terms of both grade and thickness and provide strong confidence in the geological resource." "We have confirmed at West Ayawilca that two pipe-like sulphide bodies hosted by brecciated limestones extend through the 100-200-metre-thick limestones and are connected by massive sulphides at the base. At South Ayawilca, very high-grade massive sulphide zinc mineralization is concentrated in a folded limestone at shallower depth - this discovery has the potential to be a ‘starter mine’ which could provide early payback." "Our contention that Ayawilca is one of the best zinc exploration and development projects in the Americas has been reinforced by the recent drill program. I wish to thank our staff, our stakeholders at the project and our drilling contractor for their hard work which has enabled this drill program to be successfully completed. We now look forward to the mineral resource update for the Ayawilca Zinc Zone and Tin Zone deposits, which will be released during Q3 2023. In the meantime, low impact exploration is continuing at Ayawilca and at our nearby Silvia copper-gold project." Discussion - Geology of the Zinc Zone Deposits at Ayawilca A total of 11,115 metres were drilled in 33 holes at Ayawilca during the 2022-23 drill program (see Figure 1). Around 90% of the drill holes were focused at West and South Ayawilca for resource confirmation and definition purposes. Two holes were also drilled at Central Ayawilca for the dual purposes of exploration and a hydrological study. The 2022-23 drill program has considerably improved our understanding of the geology of the Ayawilca Zinc Zone and improved the confidence in the geometry of the mineralized bodies at West and South. Two of the most important conclusions from the drilling include: - At West Ayawilca, two pipe-like zinc sulphide bodies hosted by brecciated limestones extend through the 100- to 200-metre-thick limestone sequence along a northwest-southeast trend and are connected by massive sulphide mineralization at the base of the limestone;
Table 1. Figure 1. 2023.06.09 15:12 VMSstudio Bike won't start. Relay seems to be fine. Help me troubleshoot. More info in the post.
Hey everyone, Got an R1 2006. Love the bike. Keeping it for its sentimental value. Recently got an issue where it just won't start at all. Here are the steps I've already gone through.
Ignition on, everything lights up fine. Push the start button, everything dies: instrument clustedash turns off completely.
- Battery fully charged and checked the killswitch, etc, it's all lined up for the bike to start.
- Starter Relay clicks. Thought it's the issue, but checked with a multimeter, if I disconnect the high current circuit, and hit the start button the click is there and the connection between the terminals is established.
- Tried jumping the starter relay terminals with a wrench. Sparks fly for a second, clustedash turns off. No cranks are heard.
- I also tried to see resistance from the starter side of the relay to the ground of the bike (frame). There's 0ohm resistance. Is this ok? I'm not familiar with how starters are wired up and what their dying/dead symptoms are.
Wires get hot when I use the starter button or try to jump it. Fuzes on the relay seem to be there too. No cranking is heard and the dash turns off. Is it normal for the dash to turn off like this if the starter motor is dead? It almost feels like there's a short in the circuit so when I hit the start button the positive connects to the ground somewhere on the way to the starter.
Would appreciate the help! Thanks

2023.06.08 21:38 gigi2498 2014 Ford Focus SE - No Start
About 2 months ago my car randomly wouldn’t start. Wouldn’t even attempt to turn over, all lights would come on on the dash for accessory mode, but made no attempt to start.
Thought maybe it was that dang negative terminal which I had previously had issues with corrosion so dealt with that, but it persisted randomly.
Moved on to testing battery/startealternator just in case even though no clicking cause you never know. All fine!
Then thought electrical, maybe a short in a fuse or relay. Tested them all, and all good there!
Went to YouTube and google, learned about neutral safety switch. Next time it didn’t start I shifted to neutral and it started right up! Thought ok maybe it’s that, let’s test it again next time.
Did that and didn’t work! Then when shifting back and forth between park and neutral I noticed on the dash PRNDLE that it wasn’t showing I was shifting. Tested to make sure it was actually shifting (attempting to move car in neutral vs park) and it was actually shifting, computer just didn’t know!
Googled that issue and… TCM. Now my focus is at 132k miles and I thought I was out of warranty at 100k. I was not looking forward to that bill for replacing!
Ended up here on ford focus subreddit and found that the warranty was extended further for the TCM! Only drawback is the back orders on the part, but hell at least it’s covered.
Got my car into ford this week, they took 2 days to recreate the problem/diagnose (I never had any engine light/codes pop up at all during the issues). And they came back with what I suspected that it is the TCM.
Got my loaner ford escape today and we shall see how long it takes to get my TCM.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences here and for the updates on the dang ford focus/fiesta transmission probs. I love my focus it’s a great car outside of the damn transmission issues. Has kept me moving for 7 years now, hoping to get a few more out of it!

2023.06.08 16:06 GoStockGo Tinka Drills 98 Meters At 8.8% Zinc Including 36 Meters At 19.0% Zinc At Ayawilca And Provides Exploration Update (TSXV:TK)(BVL:TK)(OTCQB:TKRFF)
| https://preview.redd.it/yzoo151qus4b1.png?width=457&format=png&auto=webp&s=39da80e92346d67ee0281e50383830d60193df98 Vancouver, Canada – Tinka Resources Limited (" Tinka" or the " Company") ( TSXV & BVL: TK) ( OTCQB: TKRFF) is pleased to announce results for five recent drill holes from the Ayawilca Project and to provide an update on the Company’s exploration activities.
True thicknesses of these intercepts are estimated to be at least 75% of the downhole thicknesses. Dr. Graham Carman, Tinka’s President and CEO, stated: "The 2022-23 drill program has been one of the most successful drill programs since Tinka began exploring at Ayawilca. The latest results highlight the quality of the zinc mineralization at Ayawilca in terms of both grade and thickness and provide strong confidence in the geological resource." "We have confirmed at West Ayawilca that two pipe-like sulphide bodies hosted by brecciated limestones extend through the 100-200-metre-thick limestones and are connected by massive sulphides at the base. At South Ayawilca, very high-grade massive sulphide zinc mineralization is concentrated in a folded limestone at shallower depth - this discovery has the potential to be a ‘starter mine’ which could provide early payback." "Our contention that Ayawilca is one of the best zinc exploration and development projects in the Americas has been reinforced by the recent drill program. I wish to thank our staff, our stakeholders at the project and our drilling contractor for their hard work which has enabled this drill program to be successfully completed. We now look forward to the mineral resource update for the Ayawilca Zinc Zone and Tin Zone deposits, which will be released during Q3 2023. In the meantime, low impact exploration is continuing at Ayawilca and at our nearby Silvia copper-gold project." Discussion - Geology of the Zinc Zone Deposits at Ayawilca A total of 11,115 metres were drilled in 33 holes at Ayawilca during the 2022-23 drill program (see Figure 1). Around 90% of the drill holes were focused at West and South Ayawilca for resource confirmation and definition purposes. Two holes were also drilled at Central Ayawilca for the dual purposes of exploration and a hydrological study. The 2022-23 drill program has considerably improved our understanding of the geology of the Ayawilca Zinc Zone and improved the confidence in the geometry of the mineralized bodies at West and South. Two of the most important conclusions from the drilling include: - At West Ayawilca, two pipe-like zinc sulphide bodies hosted by brecciated limestones extend through the 100- to 200-metre-thick limestone sequence along a northwest-southeast trend and are connected by massive sulphide mineralization at the base of the limestone;
Table 1. Figure 1. As the title suggests, I replaced the battery and starter on my 2006 Ford Taurus. Shortly after (maybe about a day or two) a message saying " check charging system" appeared on the dashboard. A couple of days after it has completly stopped and is stalling when trying to turn on the ignition. Any help will be much appreciated!

2023.06.07 16:30 khoafraelich789 THE UNFINISHED BUSINESS DRIVING A ‘STUBBORN’ INDY 500 RETURNEE
| https://preview.redd.it/7jxyl7oyh63b1.png?width=2048&format=png&auto=webp&s=245c7be6ece16ffbeb98c221c2255c96d6117728 Even though she tries to make an Indianapolis 500 return happen every year, after 10 years away you may have been forgiven for assuming Katherine Legge wouldn’t get another chance at the race. But the driver who has driven everything from a Formula 1 car (with Minardi) to Formula E, NASCAR and the DeltaWing design that started life as an IndyCar concept and became a Le Mans racer has never, ever given up on the goal of getting back to the Brickyard. And most importantly of all, she should get the chance in a competitive car this time with the Rahal Letterman Lanigan team. “If I’d been honest with myself, I probably would have thought, OK, you haven’t got that many good years left in you racing-wise,” the 42-year-old tells The Race in an exclusive interview. “So if it’s not going to happen in the next sort of three or four years then it’s not going to happen. But I didn’t think of it like that, right? “I just kept trying, I’m stubborn, and there’s no give up in me. “So, I’m still fit, I’m still race-ready, it’s not like I’ve not been racing, I just haven’t been in an open-wheel car, and I will have a lot of time [to test]. “So I think that it’s going to be great, honestly. “I was joking with [team co-owner] Bobby [Rahal], I had an opportunity to drive the F1 car back in 2006 and for a few years after that I was thinking I was going to make it to F1. So I said, ‘I’m pretty sure that dream is dead!’ “But I still think that I’ve got a certain amount to achieve and this year things seem to be turning around for me a little bit in that.” Legge’s diverse CV makes it extremely difficult to say with absolute certainty how good she is as a driver relative to her peers. But there’s no doubt there’s unfinished business when it comes to the 500. LEGGE’S CV 2014-2023 – IMSA, second in GT class in 2018 2021 – WEC – three races with IronLynx, finished eighth in class in all three 2018 – NASCAR Xfinity – four races with JD Motorsport, best finish 14th at Road America 2014 – Formula E – two races with Amlin Aguri, best finish 15th 2013 – 26th in the Indy 500 2012 – 26th in IndyCar, best finish ninth – Lotus-Dragon Racing 2010 – 18th in DTM 2009 – 18th in DTM 2008 – 19th in DTM 2007 – 15th in Champ Car – Dale Coyne Racing 2006 – 16th in Champ Car – PKV Racing 2005 – 3rd in Toyota Atlantic Championship – Polestar Her 2012 debut was as part of the laughable Lotus-Dragon programme, in a season where Lotus was far behind Chevrolet and Honda and would leave the championship at the end of the year. Lotus and Dragon split before that – so Legge did get a Chevrolet engine for the 500 and beyond, as did team-mate Sebastien Bourdais, but it was put in the car in the week before the race! The 2013 attempt with Schmidt Peterson was in machinery that managed a top-10 with Simon Pagenaud that year, but Legge had no testing in the lead up to her second attempt. “I think I’ve never really – in IndyCar at least – been in great equipment,” Legge adds. “So I think a lot of people kind of wrote me off because of that. But Bobby obviously hasn’t thankfully.” You may also like... Asked about the trade-off between being so passionate about contesting the event again versus wanting to get the machinery she feels she can win the race in, Legge adds: “There’s always a part of you that wants to do it and you think, ‘OK, I can make the difference’. But there’s different levels of opportunity, isn’t there? “Like there’s the absolute worst, which happened to me in 2012 with Dragon in all honesty, we had the Lotus engine and we had to make the switch [to a Chevrolet engine] during race week, we had no testing, never been to Indy before and it was just a big nightmare. “And then there’s the next year with Schmidt where I had a great car but no running on the lead-up to it but still was massively grateful for that opportunity. “I think if you have a good car that’s most of the battle, but everything else means a lot as well. So I wasn’t going to do it if it wasn’t in a good team, I would say, because the team makes the difference. “You can have a mediocre driver do well in a good car but a good driver can’t make a mediocre car shine. Like, if you put [Scott] Dixon in that Dragon Lotus he wasn’t going to win it either way, it just depends on the situation and I kept fighting for a good situation. “Honestly, this is a dream situation. Rahal has made so many – upgrades, shall I say – in the last year since they did Indy before, and they’ve got a different philosophy now and they’ve got on board a bunch of people. “They were a great team before and now they’ve got this kind of Arrow [McLaren] F1 work ethic, they think we’re going to really shine at this year’s 500. “It feels like everybody’s pulling in the right direction there so I’m hoping that this is as good an opportunity that we would ever get honestly.” Like with Legge, there’s a bit of uncertainty around what to expect from Rahal in 2023. That might sound bizarre given the team won this race in 2020 with Takuma Sato and had a very good chance to follow that up in 2021 before a wheel came off after Graham Rahal’s pitstop. But in 2022, the team was not at the races. Amid management changes and pursuing a set-up idea down a rabbit warren, the whole year was a huge backwards step and RLL wasn’t its competitive self. However, it’s added a host of personnel including ex-Red Bull and McLaren engineer Stefano Sordo as technical director, and there’s positivity the team can find the light at the end of the tunnel even if the Thermal test at the start of this year brought a few issues with two of its cars. With Legge and the Rahal team you get the feeling that there’s something to prove. You may also like... Legge’s extremely determined, whether that’s to shut a few onlookers up about whether she has earned this chance based on her results in other series – you can hardly make a proper judgement on her previous Indy 500 outings! – or perhaps to prove to herself that she is in fact as good as she thinks she is and earn the vindication. Whatever the reasoning, it’s a great opportunity. And what shouldn’t be ignored for those who are unsure as to why Legge got this seat is that it is one with sponsorship that Bobby Rahal could have pretty much given to hundreds of drivers. It’s not insignificant that he has trusted Legge with this chance. Given that Legge hasn’t driven a single-seater since feeling out the Formula 3 car W Series was testing before it started in 2019, a series Legge eventually decided not to enter or visibly support despite getting a place on the grid, and the last time she’d raced a single-seater was in Formula E when the cars weren’t much quicker than Formula Fords back in 2014, Indy will be a big challenge. Driving the DeltaWing – which she said was one of the closest things to the IndyCar – or the LMP2 car used in the European Le Mans Series is about as close as recent experience allows. Legge also broke her leg and her wrist in a 2020 ELMS testing crash, which all but ended that year of racing. IMSA has been Legge’s home since 2014, with 2018 being the peak when she helped Meyer Shank to second place in the GTD class. 2022 was a part-year and the second in a Porsche, but she is excited about a return to Honda/Acura this year and took fourth in class in an NSX GT3 at Daytona last month. It’s so hard to judge a driver from GT results given the car is being shared, but Legge’s best lap at Daytona was only 0.2s off that of team-mate Mario Farnbacher, a two-time GTD-class champion in IMSA. Unfortunately, heading into Turn 1 at Indy at 240mph is a different challenge – but luckily not one totally alien to Legge. Legge won’t get any race outings to prepare, but will have a test at Texas and a two-day test at Indianapolis itself before the four days of collective testing in the lead-up to qualifying, and significant time in HPD’s simulator in Indiana has also been arranged to help the transition. As you would expect in line with anyone going back to ovals, Legge also altered her training some time ago to work more on the upper body, to get it ready for the rigours and g-forces of the Brickyard. Legge will certainly be a popular starter in 2023, 10 years after her last go at the Indy 500, and the fact she’s got this opportunity after that decade should be inspiration to other drivers out there who might think their dream career chances are gone for good. 2023.06.07 04:01 Pristine_Whereas_552 2006 r6 problems pls help
So I bought a 2006 r6 for $1,000, I thought it was too good to be true as the only problems I had been told about it was the battery and the right handlebar, Well I ordered the new handlebars, As well as got a new battery for it, the dashboard now lights up and I can hear the fuel pump upon turning the key. There are 2 codes popping up, 11 and 12. Everytime I press the ignition switch I just hear a click coming from the starter relay, so I cleaned that out, as well as the ignition switch. The codes went away along with the check engine light but now i don’t even get a clicking noise from the relay when I press the ignition switch, I am beyond confused tbh as I have only ever worked on my dirtbikes and I’m kinda just trying to learn my bike and fix it myself rather than take it to a shop. Any knowledge or info would help please

2023.06.06 22:06 Rx2003 1987 e150 crank no start-no spark or no fuel? (In-line 6 engine)
TL;DR is in bold My daughter's 1987 Ford E150 (4.9l straight six) has a crank no start condition. Not sure how many miles, but this thing is old. It all started when her battery had a parasitic drain and she kept needing a jump start. I noticed that her fuel pump was making crazy noises and was running for 30-60 minutes AFTER turning the vehicle completely off. She has two fuel pumps, one in the tank near the back bumper and one on the van's frame on drivers side. The one on the frame was the culprit making noise. So I tracked the issue to what I believed was a bad relay and after just bumping into it, the issue stopped. So at this point I think the relay was stuck in the on position and bumping it must have unstuck it. So replaced the relay. Immediately after that, whenever you turn the key to the on position, the relay would click on-off-on-off super fast, making a buzzing noise from the relay. I read this could be caused by a bad ground so I made my own ground and hooked it to the relay. Sure enough, it seemed like the problem was solved whenever the new ground was connected to the relay. Unfortunately at some point during this process, the van decided it WONT START AT ALL anymore.
The relay is working properly and I can hear the frame fuel pump turning on and off when the key is on and off, and the fuel lines near the engine shake a little when it's on, so it seems like it's working properly. But the van still wont start. The van wont even try to start now, it cranks just fine, but there is little to no indication of combustion happening. So I sprayed starter fluid in the intake a few times and still nothing. Not even a little bit. It just cranks over and over with no rumbling/ combustion sounds. I felt like this means it is not getting spark, otherwise if it was just short on fuel the starter fluid would have caused it to at least make some rumbling and combustion sounds. Am I right? So I took out the three spark plugs furthest from the front bumper and they are extremely black and had a lot of carbon sooty stuff on them. They seemed to be gapped correctly. I tested them against the block and they still sparked!!! So now I am stumped. I replaced those three plugs with new ones and plan to replace the others, but now I have no idea if this is spark or fuel related. Halp!

2023.06.06 07:09 Still_Needleworker11 Your dragon girlfriend meets you mother [F4F] [Wholesome] [Reverse comfort] [Hugging]
Context: Your mother sets up a meeting with your new Dragon girlfriend. The two bond and talk over some tea. shenanigans ensue.
Tags: [F4F] [Wholesome] [Reverse comfort] [Hugging]
Usage: You may tweak or record this script.
Monetization: All forms of monetization are OK with me! YouTube, Patreon, etc. I would appreciate being able to listen to the recording, if possible. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Note: I might mess up with the brackets on witch point of view it's suppose to be, in my defense; this was written when I had one of my insomniac spells. If I can, I'll adjust the mistakes.
[Scene opens up at a little tea shop]
***
[SFX: Door opening and bell ringing]
[The owner greets cyndir]
"Oh, right. I'm suppose to say something...um, I am here for a party of two?"
[The owner looks at the reservation book and askes for her name]
"It would be under Cyndir. The other party is-"
[The owner interrupts and say that they see her name her]
"Oh, um...wonderful. So, I guess you lead the way?"
[She nods and leads her to a table]
[SFX: Footsteps]
"*Inner monologue* Man, for such a tiny place, it sure seems very fancy. I mean, why even meet here?"
[She leads her to the table in question]
"Oh...thank you."
[SFX: Chair moving]
"Now, let's see what they got on this menu."
[She looks over the menu]
"*Inner monologue* Okay, we got some desserts, classic. For food we got...we got...Wait a minute, There's only Scones and cucumber sandwiches. Darn it, I'm in a tea shop."
[SFX: Head slamming on the table]
"*Moan* Why did she have to set a meeting place at such a lame location?"
[She lifts up her head]
"Okay cyndir, just relax. You can always eat later."
[SFX: Stomach growling]
"Shut it you!"
[Pause]
"Okay, I'll just try to enjoy my time with her then get back to the base for a nice...juicy...piece of meat."
[She starts to droll a little]
"Pull yourself together Cyndir. Just make a first impression then be on your way."
[SFX: Finger tapping on table]
"*Fidgeting* What's taking her so long. I mean, I have heard of being fashionably late. But this is ridiculous."
[Pause]
"Maybe I'm the one who a little too early..."
[She comes in and sits down]
"Oh, Um...I...I...It's nice to meet you. You must be the Vice Captain's mother."
[She looks at you but doesn't speak]
"*Inner monologue* Man, and I thought my mom was intimidating. I can just feel her staring daggers at me."
[Cyndir clears her trout]
"Anyways, I think we got off on the wrong foot. Let's start over shall we. My name is Cyndir and I-"
[She mentions that your her son's pupil]
"Why, yes. I am a trainee, or in your description a pupil of the Vice Captain. It may seem like there was a little miscommunication between the two of us."
[She mentions the misunderstanding specifically]
"Yeah, well. In my defense you do look young enough to be his girlfriend."
[She mentions her age]
"Woah! That's even older than my mom."
[She raises an eyebrow]
"Um...sorry. It's just...you got to admit. I'm probably not the first one who made this mistake before."
[She sighs as she agrees with you]
"I'm glad I'm not the only one who made that mistake at least."
[Pause]
"So anyways, is there any reason you decided to meet at this kind of place?"
[You ask what does she mean?]
"Well for starters, a tea shop? Really? I mean, don't get me wrong; I like a good cup of tea as much as the next girl...but doesn't this place seem a little too girly?"
[You facepalms]
"What? I mean, yeah. I can be a bit of a tomboy, but even I can admit that this place reeks girly. I mean, look at this. What even is this?"
[You say it's a doily]
"Doily? What does it even do?"
[You try to hold your composure.]
"Since I feel like were getting off topic, I figure just address the elephant in the room. I'm not sure what your son described our relationship is specifically. So, I'll do it for him."
[She raises an eyebrow]
"I mean, you probably heard about your son's previous girlfriend. Less said about her the better."
[She says she knows]
"Well, that's at least a little of a relief. Anyways, I want you to know that he has been nothing short of a gentleman whenever were around together."
[Pause]
"Okay, so I may of tried to be more flirtatious around him. Seeing him blush like that, it just makes my heart flutter."
[She raises an eyebrow]
"*Looking down* Truth be told. He...he was the only one who believed in me."
[She asks cyndir to elaborate]
"Well, for starters; I was the youngest of six in my family. Kind of picking on the youngest was a staple in my home. He however, didn't view me as weak. He only fought with me when he felt like I would be a threat to the people he serves."
[She mentions the first time you two met]
"Okay, so I was the one who started the initial fight. I still didn't understand why he laughed at the face of a dragon."
[She mentioned the captain]
"Wait, what about the captain?"
[She mentions how he was one of the demon lord generals]
"Woah. You mean the Demon lord?! The same one who has been causing chaos around the land? That demon lord? The captain was one of the generals?!"
[She nods]
"Welp, I guess that explains why he wasn't phased by a dragon. When a general of the demon army is your boss; everything else seems like a cakewalk."
[She asked if she is up for a little training]
"Training? With you? Forgive my rudeness, but aren't you a little too old to be training?"
[The room went silent]
"Uh, did I say something I shouldn't have?"
[Everyone around the tea shop is staring at her in utter shock]
"Um...why is everyone here looking at me as if they seen a ghost?"
[She asks cyndir politely to step outside]
"Uh-oh. I know where this is going? *Sigh* Fine, I'll humor you."
[The two of you step outside]
[SFX: Door opening and closing]
"Look, I'm sorry if I have offended-"
[She askes her to choose a weapon]
"Really? You want me to...ok then."
[SFX: Sword sound]
"Let's try this out."
[She grabs a bow and a single arrow]
"A bow and arrow huh? I've been around too many weird people to misjudge your choice of weapon. What's the catch?"
[She explains the catch]
"So, your wiling for me to escape, and if I escape or block the arrow; your forgive my little faux pas. Do I dare ask what happens if I fail?"
[Pause]
"This won't kill me at least, right?"
[She nods]
"Okay then. Prepare yourself."
[She says you should run]
"Run? Why should I run? I'm a-"
[SFX: Swooshing sound]
[A test arrow narrowly misses cynidir. A warning of what's to come]
"All right, I'm going."
[SFX: Transforming]
"For the record though, I'm only running just to humor you for the time being."
[She flies away]
"*Inner monologue* I should be prepared, there's no knowing when and if she'll attack me. Lucky for me, I'm really high up right now."
[She fires her shot]
"I just need to prepare myself for when she does attack."
[Cyndir gets hit by the arrow, unknown to her]
"I just need to keep flying away...It shouldn't be too hard to get away from-why's my body feeling heavy? Why am I dropping in altitude? Why can't I feel my wings? What's happening? I...I feel so numb right now."
[She starts to fall to the ground]
"I got...to cushion the blow...or else...I'll really be in...trouble."
[SFX: Slamming the ground]
"Ugh. My...body. It feels like it weighs a ton. What did she do to me?"
[She says what she did]
"Is...is this permanent?"
[She shakes her head]
"Well, at least I go that going for me."
[She says what she requires of cyndir]
"Huh? So, if I can get up and face you...before this wears off, you'll accept me as his girlfriend?"
[She nods]
"Well, if that's the case..."
[Cyndir struggles a little]
"*Inner monologue* I got to face her, if I don't then all that training would be for nothing. The Captain's training, the vice-captain. I can not-no, I will not let them down."
[Cyndir struggles to lift up the blade but barely lifts it up to the vice captain's mother]
"Draw...your...weapon."
[She smirks]
"I said; Draw...Your...weapon."
[She knocks the sword from Cyndir's hand all while smiling]
"Does...does this mean you won't accept me as your son's-"
[She embraces cyndir and hugs her tightly]
"Woah. Didn't see that coming."
[She hugs cynidr and tell her she has her blessing]
"Wait, does this mean that..."
[She nods as cyndir starts to tear up]
"I...um...*Clears throat* I'll be sure to relay the message to your son."
[She carries cyindir back to the tea shop]
"Oh, you...your pretty strong huh? I mean, I think it's starting to wear off, so I think I can walk on my-"
[SFX: bone cracking]
"...maybe not. I take it that what the arrow was full with also numbed my nerve system too."
[She askes why]
"Well, because I can feel all the pain coming back."
[You can hear her moan in agony over her hand]
"Could...could I use you as a crutch on the way back."
[She nods]
"Thanks, I'll repay your kindness somehow."
[Cyndir whimpers away as it fades to black]
[To be continued...?]
Side note: I'll be sure to adjust a few things later...in the meantime, I will be taking a little break on cyndir the Dragon girl. (Not forever, I assure you) It will make sense later when I write another scripts for her. In the meantime, enjoy her previous scripts.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 (Royal)
Part 7 (Captain)
Part 7.5 Part 8 Part 9 Part 10 (Cyndir's Mom)
Part 11 Part 12 Part 13 And this is part 14, I realize I made a mistake copying some of the parts. I'll be sure to fix the other's later. This list for the links however is correct. Have a lovely day/night.

2023.06.05 20:24 jimbobbypaul Ranking the Top 131 FBS Programs of the Last 40 Years: 81. Tulsa
Main hub thread with the full 131 rankings Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tulsa has the smallest enrollment of any FBS school with just 2,728 undergraduate students according to USNews. That’s only slightly more than my high school.
They’ve managed to do very well for themselves though, as they escaped the bottom 50 on this list and are even a top 20 Group of 5 program on here. I’m not sure where all the fans come from, but they had an average attendance of ~20,000 fans per game in 2022, about 5x the size of their total enrollment.

- 219-256-1 record
- 5 conference titles
- 8-6 bowl record
- 2 consensus All-Americans
- 33 NFL players drafted
Tulsa has 6 double-digit win seasons in the last 32 years, with 5 in the last 15. That success, despite 11 seasons with 3 or less wins, puts them all the way up to #81 on the list. Their 8 bowl wins is the most of any team so far, and 5 conference titles is up there as well. If we look at total history, Tulsa’s actually had major historical success, winning 35 conference titles with a 643-526-28 all-time record. All-time draft greats include NFL Hall of Fame WRs Steven Largent and Drew Pearson (undrafted), and QB Gus Frerotte. Consensus AAs were OL Jerry Ostroski in 1991 and LB Zaven Collins in 2020. Zaven was a freak athlete at 6’5 260 lbs, racking up 4 sacks, 4 TFL, 4 INTs, and 2 defensive TDs in just 8 games. He ranked 2nd in the nation in interception return yards, as a LB, in just 8 games!
Top 5 Seasons
Worst Season: 2001 (1-10 overall, 0-8 WAC) The good news? They beat Indiana State 51-0 in the opener. The bad news? That was their last win for the next 17 games. Tulsa continued their decade-long struggle, having not had a winning season in 10 years. All losses were by 10+ points, including 10-26 to 2-9 UTEP and 27-63 to 3-9 San Jose State in front of a San Jose crowd of just 6,873. To add insult to injury, Tulsa got little brother’d hard by #3 Oklahoma toward the end of the season, losing 0-58 in Norman. The game was available on PPV, which I hope no Tulsa fan paid for. QBs Josh Blankenship and Tyler Gooch split snaps, with Blankenship having the slightly higher passer rating and Gooch being the better runner. Blankenship’s dad, Bill Blankenship, would go on to become Tulsa’s head coach from 2011-14. Gooch took over full time in 2002 and had a much better season than either of them did in 2001, throwing 17 TD to 8 INT. There weren’t many other great players on the roster. OT Kevin Shaffer was drafted in the 7th round after the season and went on to start 93 games for the Falcons/Browns/Bears.
5. 2016 (10-3 overall, 6-2 American) 2016 Tulsa scored on everyone, and let everyone score on them. The offense was RIDICULOUS. Outside of a 3-48 loss to Ohio State (I guess they didn’t score on everyone), they averaged 45.8 PPG, best in the country in 2016. They became the first team in NCAA history to have a 3000+ yard passer, two 1000+ yard rushers, and two 1000+ yard receivers. QB Dane Evans threw for 3348 yards 32 TD 12 INT in his senior season, finishing as Tulsa’s all-time leading passer with 11,680 yards and 84 TD, and between Russell Wilson and Geno Smith as the 39th all-time leading passer in the NCAA. RB D’Angelo Brewer ran for 1435 yards and 7 TD on 5.4 YPC, while RB James Flanders went for 1629 yards and 18 TD on 6.3 YPC. The top receivers were Keevan Lucas (81 catches for 1180 yards and 15 TD) and Joshua Atkinson (78 catches for 1058 yards and 8 TD). Even 4 out of 5 offensive linemen made 1st/2nd team all-conference! Nobody made it on the defensive side, as they gave up 29.8 PPG as a team.
4. 2012 (11-3 overall, 7-1 Conference USA) After failing to produce a conference championship team with talented 3-year starting QB GJ Kinne, they did it immediately in 2012 with the less productive but steady QB Cody Green. After an opening 23-38 loss to Iowa State, they went on a 7 game win streak with wins over bowl teams Fresno State and Rice. They had a chance to catch a reeling John L Smith-led Arkansas team to get to 8-1 and become ranked, but couldn’t score in the 4th to fall 15-19. After a 41-7 win over Houston, 2 weeks later OT Brian DeShane proposed to his girlfriend before the UCF game, and the team was so inspired they fought to a 23-21 win. A loss to SMU in the final week of the regular season was meaningless for championship aspirations, as Tulsa had already clinched a spot in the C-USA title game. Up against UCF in a rematch, Tulsa tied the game 27-27 on a 54 yard punt return for TD with just 5:04 left, and won 33-27 on a walkoff rushing TD in OT, claiming their first conference title since 2005. They outdid themselves in the bowl, avenging a season-opening loss to Iowa State, this time scoring 24 straight to win 31-17.
Green was steady, with 2592 passing yards and 17 TD 11 INT. The main offense came from the run game, which you might have to double take reading these stats. Alex Singleton, the 6’0 265 lb power back, ran for 800 yards and 24(!!) TD on just 4.0 YPC. Trey Watts, who weighed 75 pounds less, ran for 1108 yards and just 3 TD on 6.0 YPC. The third option was Ja’Terian Douglas, who had 936 rushing yards and 7 TD on a team-high 6.8 YPC. Hilariously, Singleton and Douglas either didn’t want to catch passes or couldn’t, combining for 4 catches for 17 yards. Watts had 34 for 343. WR Keyarris Garrett led the team with 845 receiving yards, and after an up-and-down career, would go on to lead the NCAA in receiving yards 3 years later with 1588. On defense, DL Jared St. John led C-USA with 11.5 sacks, and Deaundre Brown was 3rd in the conference with 17 total TFL.
3. 2010 (10-3 overall, 6-2 Conference USA) Todd Graham produced some damn good offenses at Tulsa. This was his 3rd season in 4 years averaging 40+ PPG, ranking 6th in the country with 41.4. GJ Kinne, the current Texas State coach, had a great year in his 2nd season as a starter, earning 1st Team All-CUSA with 3650 passing yards 31 TD 10 INT, and leading the team in rushing with 561 yards with 7 TD. An opening loss to East Carolina was heartbreaking, the Hurricanes up 49-45 with seconds left, decided to call a timeout to defend a hail mary…? It backfired, as East Carolina drew up a play and scored to walk off 51-49. A few weeks later they were 3-3, with a disappointing 1-2 conference record. Hoping to compete for the C-USA title, they were now 2 games behind SMU and didn’t hold the tiebreaker. Still, Tulsa continued to fight. In South Bend facing first year head coach Brian Kelly and Notre Dame, Tulsa somehow held a 28-27 lead in the 4th quarter. Irish QB Tommy Rees drove to the Tulsa 20 in position for a game winning FG, but threw an interception in the end zone to seal a Tulsa win. That’d be a momentum shifter, winning out the rest of the year with wins over 6-5 UTEP, 8-3 Southern Miss, and #24 Hawaii in the bowl 62-35. The Canes took Hawaii’s #24 spot in the final AP Poll.
2. 2008 (11-3 overall, 7-1 Conference USA) Tulsa’s had some really good offenses. But 2008 was on another level. It seemed like every offense in Oklahoma was going nuclear in 2008, as OU led the nation in PPG, Tulsa finished 2nd, and Oklahoma State 9th. This team averaged a whopping 47.2 PPG, good for 1st overall most years. Similar to the GJ Kinne → Cody Green transition, Tulsa lost all-time leading passer Paul Smith only to become even better as a team with new QB David Johnson. The difference this time though, was Johnson was MUCH better than Green, so there was no dropoff from Smith → Johnson.
Armed with HC Todd Graham and OC Gus Malzahn, Tulsa’s offense was the best in the country through 8 games, going 8-0 averaging 55.6(!!!) PPG. #19 Tulsa went to Arkansas with the BCS in their sights, but the offense fell flat in the 2nd half, scoring just 3 points in a 23-30 loss, ending any BCS bowl hopes. After winning 2 of the last 3 games, Tulsa entered the C-USA championship game at 10-2 facing 8-4 East Carolina. 7(!!!) turnovers from Tulsa ensured a loss, but they did all they could, losing 24-27. Johnson had his worst game of the season by far with 1 TD 5 INT. The year did end on a high, with a 45-13 thrashing of #23 Ball State.
David Johnson ranked 2nd in the nation in passer rating, throwing for 4059 yards 46 TD 18 INT with 10.1 YPA. RB Tarrion Adams ran for 1500+ yards and 14 TD, while WR Brennan Marion went for 1112 receiving yards on just 43 catches, for 25.9 yards per catch, leading the nation for the 2nd straight year. The previous year Marrion was even better, getting 39 catches for 1244 yards and 11 TD for an ABSURD 31.9 yards per catch, setting the NCAA record. He also holds the career record with 28.7 yards per catch.
1. 1991 (10-2 overall, Independent) This would be Tulsa’s last great season for over a decade. In the early 1990’s, Tulsa dropped health/PE as a major, which over 50% of football players had. This made it hard to attract recruits to an already selective school, and an aging Skelly Stadium, down to its bones, also made it tough to get recruits to sign. Skelly Field is still going strong after 93 years today. But back to 1991—Tulsa was LEGIT. In week 2, Tulsa beat in-state foe Oklahoma State 13-7. After a 17-23 loss to Kansas, Tulsa hosted #15 Texas A&M in front of 30,000 fans. Down 28-10 at halftime, Tulsa rallied back with a late TD to win it 35-34 for their biggest win in over 20 years. They even went toe-to-toe with the national champions that year, Miami (FL), falling 10-34. Afterwards Tulsa was perfect, beating Louisville 40-0, and San Diego State in the bowl 28-17, finishing 10-2 overall with a #21 final ranking. This team turned out to be pretty stacked for such a small school, with 7 NFL Draft selections over the next 3 years, including 2nd round LB and 10-year Detroit Lion Tracy Scroggins, and QB Gus Frerotte. Frerotte was just a backup in ‘91, to starter TJ Rubley. Rubley finished his senior season as Tulsa’s all time leading passer. He was a 3rd string QB for the Packers in 1995, and audibled out of a QB sneak in a 24-24 game with Minnesota to try and throw a pass, only to throw an interception and lose 27-24. He was cut after the game by Mike Holmgren and never played in the NFL again.
5th Quarter
Why has Tulsa been so successful even with such a small enrollment? Do you agree with them being this high? Who was the best QB out of Paul Smith, David Johnson, GJ Kinne, and Dane Evans? Who’s been the best Tulsa player overall in the past 10-20 years? Is it Zaven Collins or someone else?
