Using a build guide...and bonus skill points.

2023.06.05 05:27 AmoHeals Using a build guide...and bonus skill points.

Hello fellow Diablo-ers!
I'm suing a build-guide that is helpful to me in how putting skill points affects my levelling progression. On my brand new Diablo 4 character, I received a bonus skill point early on...I think from a side quest or a dungeon?)
My question is: where do I put that point? I know there aren't any hard rules of what I do with this skill point but I'd like to know what most people think. Should I go back and add a point to an armor spell or a basic spell?
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

2023.06.05 05:24 SulkingSally68 Anyone else on here preorder either a physical copy from best buy?

Specifically either in-store pickup or locker pickup (locker myself)
Doesn't matter if it's Xbox ver. or Ps5.. What I'm needing info on particularly is:
A: If you have your reciept in your emails, go ahead and check and see if it's updated the movement part, where it says it's almost done on the preorder item above the game.
B: If it doesn't like mine has, and is continuing to show release date not available still would like to know as well.
Basically it should have been showing something as to elude that it was on the way to the particular store I purchased from, but it is showing nothing at all. They have already took and zeroed out all my gift cards, I had preordered that title, as well as armored core 6 and aliens dark decent, all 3 for ps5, and obviously the two other then that one aren't out yet.
But the diablo 4 physical edition was said when it was preordered that it would have a locker pickup date of the 5th, have an additional update that it was supposedly to the 6th now, but still no movement.
anyone else here experiencing the same with their physical copies? would help to allieviate my stress cause I hate depending on stores to get their shit together on time these days, would rather digital, but decided on physical for ps5 for some reason.
in the interrim I still am able to continue to play it since early access on pc. but I want to play it on the couch as soon as possible :(

2023.06.05 05:21 ValorQuest Valor Quest RPG

Valor Quest is an RPG for the web browser that I'm making - an open-ended, persistent game you can play at your leisure. If you've played games like Ultima Online, Torn, or MUDs, you'll feel right at home. Many of the item aspects are reminders of early Diablo games. Gameplay resembles a hybrid between pure text games and popular graphical action RPGs.
Play here: https://valorquest.net
Signup is fast and free. More info:
Slavery is a staple in human history and it's no different here. Choose a faction: slaver or abolitionist. Either way, do you think you can earn enough Valor to change the world? It may just be possible...
Exploration: Navigate with a smooth graphical interface and convenient map viewport. Discover new areas, negotiate dangers, and progress in your quest for Valor.
Character development: Create and customize your player, choosing which skills and stats to invest in as you level up. Each of your stats controls different aspects of your gameplay, and specializing will make sense as you play.
Combat: Configure your setup and do battle with monsters and players alike. Battles feature instant autocalc results with battle reports detailing every move.
Items: Find, buy, equip or trade weapons and armor, which come with a wide variety of properties and effects. Manage your inventory and customize your equipment your way for any occasion.
Puzzle-solving: Some mild puzzle elements are present with some tricky dungeons and map areas. More intensively, playing Valor Quest is a process where you will grow more powerful as you figure out how all the game systems work.
Social interaction: Chat with NPC's to gather useful information or gossip, send messages to other players, and coordinate attacks and other activities. Engage in PvP battles or form alliances. Choosing to be a slaver might seem like the path of least resistance, but at what cost? Engage in the social and physical mechanics of buying, owning, and managing your slaves, or vow to destroy all those who do! The choice is yours. For Valor!

2023.06.05 04:34 Talik1978 Evaluating Lethal Hits

More than a few people are touting the prevalence of Lethal Hits on the new 10th edition models, so I thought I would offer some side by side comparisons, to put some hard numbers on how many wounds Lethal hits adds. Rather than go by weapon, I am going by roll. For this, I will be assuming a 3+ to hit.
3+ to hit, 6+ to wound
Without Lethal hits? 2/18 (4 wounds per 36 attacks).
With Lethal hits? 1/4 (9 wounds per 36 attacks)
The best scenario, it makes those chip shots more likely to wound. You'll get 5 extra wounds for every 36 attacks you roll.
3+ to hit, 5+ to wound
Without LH? 2/9 (8 wounds per 36 attacks).
With Lethal hits? 1/3 (12 wounds per 36 attacks)
4 more hits out of 36 attack rolls on this one.
3+ to hit, 4+ to wound
Without LH? 1/3 (12 wounds per 36 attacks)
With Lethal hits? 5/12 (15 wounds per 37 attacks)
3 extra hits for every 36 rolls here.
3+ to hit, 3+ to wound
Without LH? 4/9 (16 wounds per 36 attacks)
With Lethal Hits? 1/2 (18 wounds per 36 attacks)
With this profile, you net an extra 2 wounds per 36 dice rolled.
3+ to hit, 2+ to wound
Without LH? 5/9 (20 wounds per 36 attacks)
With Lethal Hits? 7/12 (21 wounds per 36 attacks)
And on this final profile, you net 1 extra wound for every 36 attacks rolled.
As shown above, Lethal hits has the greatest benefit when using weapons with low wound chance. Bolters against tanks, and all that. It is almost identical to a flat +1 to wound, in terms of overall wounds per attack rolled. Such attacks have little ability to penetrate armor saves, however, so you'll give a lot of it back on the armor save.
Overall, if you are matching weapons to appropriate targets, you can expect 1 additional wound for every 12 dice rolled with a Lethal hits weapon(3+/4+).
That is a positive buff, but it's not as massive as many people are making it out to be.

2023.06.05 04:14 East_Article3819 [Clan Recruitment] Come join the Knights In Pyjamas

In a realm where whimsy intertwines with valor, a band of unconventional knights emerges, donning a peculiar yet endearing attire: pyjamas. Clad in cozy fabrics adorned with patterns of stars, moons, and fantastical creatures, they defy tradition with their unorthodox choice. Their helmets are replaced by comically oversized nightcaps, enhancing their lighthearted spirit. The knights' chest plates are embellished with embroidered slippers, symbolic of their quest for comfort and joy. Armed not with swords but with fluffy pillows, they wage battles with laughter and mirth. As they engage in spirited pillow fights, their pyjamas swish and twirl, creating a surreal spectacle that reminds all that true heroism can be found even in the most unexpected of forms.
Rise and shine, brave souls! Today is another adventure yet again to a land where valiant knights don their armor of comfort—the Knights in Pyjamas!
This clan is primarily of the PvE nature and for the social aspects of the game, though all other ways of playing the game are welcome. All are welcome to join the clan in Diablo IV!!! Hope to see you all soon!
PS: Pyjamas/Pajamas are the same thing, I just found using a "y" was fancier.

2023.06.05 03:37 questionhavei Diablo 4: A Refreshing Experience vs. Modern Game

I have been playing mostly modern mobile games/gacha games like Summoners War Chronicles, and I recently had the chance to dive into the world of Diablo 4 (D4), and let me tell you, it's been an absolute game-changer. Playing D4 was like a breath of fresh air, and it made me gain a newfound respect for Blizzard. On the other hand, SWC feels like a sell-out and a total scam at this point. Let me break it down for you:
First things first, in D4, you pay once and get the complete game experience. No more worries about being nickel-and-dimed for every little feature or item. It's a refreshing change from SWC, where they constantly push you to spend money on in-game purchases. I mean, seriously, who wants to keep shelling out cash just to progress in a game?
But it doesn't stop there. SWC implements all sorts of pay-to-progress mechanics that make it feel like a never-ending money pit. Imagine you're playing D4, and you encounter a challenging boss or a difficult quest that you can't overcome due to your character being too weak. In SWC, they would gladly offer you a solution: spend some real cash to boost your power and continue your journey. It's frustrating and takes away from the joy of playing a game. In fact, they do this on purpose so you are more willing to spend $. (Look up science research on memorizing easy number and long numbers, the group that had to memorize long numbers ended up shelling out and chose the easy way out, just as how SWC it makes it difficult/painful/frustrating, so that people will be more willing to $)
And let's not forget the arbitrary limitations in SWC. They restrict your gameplay by imposing limits on stamina usage. Want to keep playing or progressing after consuming all your stamina/ticket? Well, you guessed it, they conveniently offer you the option to purchase more stamina using their in-game currency ($). In SWC, once you exhaust your daily stamina, you're stuck and can't progress further unless you open your wallet to replenish it. It's a clear attempt to squeeze more money out of players. Just like SWC's stamina mechanic, imagine if D4 restricted the number of times you could cast a spell within a specific timeframe/limit scenario quest/events by stamina/ticket. It would diminish the overall enjoyment of the game and resemble the frustrating limitations found in SWC.
All of these experiences have made me realize just how toxic and ridiculous Com2Us/other modern gaming companies are (I keep seeing in chat scam2us and I now really understand why). On the other hand, I've gained a newfound respect for Blizzard and their dedication to creating a healthier and more player-friendly game with D4. Despite the criticism they faced with Diablo Immortal, they've shown that they genuinely care about the well-being of their players.
So, here's a shoutout to Blizzard for delivering an incredible gaming experience with Diablo 4. And I don't think I want to ever play gacha game again, it's just so toxic and mentally draining. Thank you Bliz for reminding us that not all game developers are solely driven by greed. Let's hope other companies take note and prioritize the happiness and satisfaction of their players.
TL;DR: Diablo 4 (D4) offers a complete game experience without constant purchases, while modern games like Summoners War Chronicles (SWC) feels like a money-driven scam. Modern games usually includes pay-to-progress mechanics and arbitrary limitations like stamina usage, while D4 prioritizes player enjoyment. Blizzard deserves recognition for creating a healthier gaming environment.

There Should Absolutely Be an Achievement for This Feat!
Finally managed to max the essence mastery of my 6th and final class in Diablo Immortal today. Saved Monk for last specifically because I know it's my least favorite OpenWorld farm class. No rewards, badges, emblems, cosmetics, materials, crests, anything. Even a lame congratulatory message in-game would feel better than what you get... Which is absolutely nothing. This is hundreds, if not a thousand hours of commitment to the game, and it's core principle of grinding. I love the game, and won't stop playing-- but I also feel this has to be an obvious oversight in development. Use common sense and listen to the player base more than you do, please. Let me eat my dam cake! How many players do you think have accomplished this feat?! Speak up if you have, or know people who have please! DiabloImmortal U/PezRadar

2023.06.05 02:22 1000mlPeter What am I supposed to do with unused gear?

I’m level 24 and have been dismantling everything I get. I haven’t upgraded any gear at all, since I’m always swapping out for slightly better stuff. I’ve also never bought an item from the weapons shop or armor.
I’m assuming I should just hoard crafting materials for end game? I’m new to Diablo so not sure what to do. Should I start trying to sell it instead?

2023.06.05 01:33 F4NT4SYF00TB4LLF4N Pretty Disappointed In Diablo 4 so far...

Really did not see myself feeling this way. I started playing Diablo with D2 back 20+ years ago and obviously was a huge fan of the Diablo franchise.
I'm nearly done with the D4 campaign (lvl 42ish), and the game is already feeling like a chore. Maybe I am doing something wrong.
COMBAT - feels extremely sluggish. I spam 1 resource generator, hitting one target, like 4-5 times before I can use 1 resource spender that doesn't even one shot. The other abilities are long CDs, and an ultimate. What I am just having a hard time believing is that Diablo Immortals combat FELT better than this...
THE OPEN WORLD - was something I was actually very excited for. Statues to find, zones to "free/unlock" etc. I was spending time doing these and the side quests when I realized how BORING it is with all the running. I have not felt this way since New World basically showed us how bad leveling can be. I quickly realized this is basically all a waste of time until you minimally get a mount (act 4), and beat the campaign, unlock world tier 3. Basically you need to push through the campaign, before you can actually play the game.
THE CAMPAIGN - Again just SO much running. It doesn't feel "Epic" to me. I have never been a huge lore guy, but I'm having a hard time even getting invested, it just feels so shallow. Again, reminds me of New World...
I had a small 30min window to play today and couldn't be bothered to log in. The combat feels slow and sluggish, the running in the world is super boring, what normally can distract you from this in other games are life skills you constantly level up, or the ability to grind out local side quests and/or just AOE groups of mobs. This game has zero of that. The side quests often have you running multiple minutes or zones away, you can't really AOE groups of mobs, and have no life skills where you feel progression.
Basically, I see zero point to NOT just speed run the campaign (MSQ) and unlock world tier 3, and actually start getting good gear. Just feeling let down, like so much lost potential here idk... How can a mobile Diablo game have better feeling combat than this? It even has WASD which I'm shocked D4 doesn't have as an option....
What am I doing wrong? Yes I realize this isn't an MMO, but it's trying to copy some of the same aspects of an MMO, but feels more like the WORST of ARPG and MMO combined.
Aside from the graphics and the art style... This just feels like an inferior game (gameplay) to its predecessors (including Diablo Immoral)....
What am I missing?

2023.06.05 01:33 Professional-Log9528 RHS penetration specs broke?

Ok so I’ve been noticing something weird going on involving vehicle combat. I find it extremely difficult to penetrate any armor even with tanks and hellfires. Like I couldn’t even penetrate a BMP with 3 hellfires straight on it. I’m not sure if this is a bug or if it’s intentional but it’s worth noting that I DO have advanced vehicle damage by ace on.

2023.06.05 01:23 rancid4skin Fresh Prince of Hells Lair (openAI prompt)

Now, this is a story all about how My life got flipped, turned upside down And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there I'll tell you how I became the Lord of Hell's lair
In the world of Diablo, born and raised Slaying demons was how I spent most of my days Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin' all cool And huntin' down loot in the depths of the school
When a couple of demons, they were up to no good Started wreaking havoc in my neighborhood I got in one little fight and my mom got scared She said, "You're movin' with Tyrael and angels up there"
I begged and pleaded with her day after day But she packed my potions and sent me on my way She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my scroll I put my helm on and said, "I might as well roll"
I entered Tristram, it was pretty rare No sign of my mom, no family to share But I slayed all the demons, that's how it goes I unlocked my powers and defeated my foes
I gathered a party, we fought side by side We battled through dungeons, with nothing to hide We traveled through forests and climbed up a peak Fighting bosses and monsters, week after week
I faced Diablo himself, the Lord of Terror With my friends by my side, I showed no error We fought with all our might, our spirits aligned And banished Diablo back, to the depths confined
Now I'm the hero, the savior of the land With a righteous weapon and armor that's grand So if you're ever in Sanctuary, don't despair Just look for the Nephalem, the Prince of Hell's lair!

2023.06.05 01:11 WaleXdraK Shell not penetrating Armor even with higher penetration.

Hello i have a little problem here, recently i started playing WoT again, currently levelling a STUG III G (armed with the 7,5 cm PAK 42L/70 canon) so in the last few game i ran into a LOT of problems when it come to damaging enemies, even when aiming for weak spot at close range and using high penetration shell, that gun is already pretty damn good with basic shell when it come to armor penetration but with the PZGR 40L it go up to 194/174 mm, even then a lot of tanks give me problems, and i am not talking about bouncing but the shell not even penetrating on straight shot. As an example i recently engaged a A43 BP heavy tank at about 130/150 meter, several shot later and none pierced its armor, no bounce either, the thing is that the A43 BP got an armor up to 152 at it’s thickest point and my shell should have easily landed and damage it, that problem happen even against light tank and at that point i really don’t understand what happening. Anyone got an explaination for me?
