My mom died last August. She had colon cancer, and we knew she didn't have a long time, but her death still came suddenly - it felt like we should have had just a little longer. One more birthday. One more Christmas. As the first year anniversary of her death comes closer, I'm struggling and confused about what I'm feeling. Sometimes, I wonder if I'm forcing myself to be sad because it feels like if I'm not, I'm losing her even more. Like holding onto the grief keeps her a little bit closer.
This week, my dad told me he signed up for a dating service and is meeting a woman for coffee next week. I should be happy for him, because I know he's been lonely, but it hurts a little to think about my mom being left farther and farther behind us.
Right around the time that my mom died, I also had a building related disaster that forced my small business to close for a time. We reopened in January, and people still keep coming up to me and offering sympathy for what a difficult time I've been through - but they're talking about the business, which compared to the loss of my mom feels like nothing. The business was fixable. My mom is gone forever. I don't care about the goddamn business. I want people to ask me about my mom, to offer sympathy for her loss, but very few people ever bring her up anymore. It feels like I have to keep my grief hidden, because it will just be uncomfortable for other people. I guess that's why I'm here. I need someplace to spill out my sadness and my messy thoughts where I know I won't be judged and might be understood.

She broke up with me 7 months ago. We have been going backwards and forwards for 6 and a half of those months. The break up was my fault and she did not know what she wanted and there was a lot of mixed signalling. In the end she admitted that she “can’t do it anymore”. She started texting me multiple times after which made me go crazy again and then it started to annoy me so I told her to leave me alone or get back together with me.
We are now on day 16 with only a happy birthday text sent from her to me. I want her back. I can’t cope with this. I cry plenty of times each day. I’m so broken. I love her so much and I am sad. She’s currently away on holiday but I am so so desperate to text her. I love her with all my heart but I know if I text her right now my heart will probably break even further. I am so lost and crushed and painfully sad. She is my soulmate and I don’t want to let go of her ☹️
I saw a sunset last night and cried for 15 mins uncontrollably just because I thought of her beauty. I just wish after the pains of mix signalling that it wears off and she comes back to me 😢

Is it possible that Sun & Moon could be William Afton?
We have a return of Gregory, Micheal & Cassidy but there is little known about William. Since he "died" in FNAF 6 and what is left is just a virus, could the Jekyll and Hyde character represent his actual spirit returning like the others.
The bi-polar broken parts of him where he did actually want to keep kids safe and for them to have fun vs the dark part of him that became obsessed with remnant.
If we go with the theory about him loving the Freddy bear show when he was little and that the balloon boy arcade is in his room, could his story be represented there? Since he was little he was happy and sunny but then when he kept getting hurt but the environment around him it caused his illness to surface more and more till it was just the moon or Hyde version of himself that he was afraid of.
A possible connection could be seen in Help Wanted with the virus version of the golden rabbit where he has his normal happy dancing self vs the dark shadow version just watching you.
Also, in Help Wanted and as Nightmare Balloon Boy purple seems to be penetrating the normal colors of his red and blue look. His eyes have purple eyelids in Help Wanted and Nightmare Balloon Boy's strips have purple in instead of their normal colors.
Just a thought.

Dr Ramani on YouTube constantly shares her frustration that whenever she reads relationship advice, people always provide sweeping advice that is not relevant to toxic relationships. I remember reading an article that claimed it was a red flag if someone says their ex was the problem. What?!
One example I keep seeing is that people need to accept responsibility for their role in the failure of their relationships.
This is simply not true with highly toxic partners. I will give proof based on my 12 different relationships with a coteacher.
I have been teaching for years. And I’ve had many different teachers that I had to team up with and teach a class together.
Some co-teaching relationships were great, some were okay. Overall, i was happy in all of them. Except one.
She was never satisfied. She held me to standards she didn’t follow herself. The principal had to get involved multiple times. Initially, she was able to gaslight him and make it seem like I was the problem.
It was frustrating because everyone seemed to love her. But she was very antagonistic with me.
Eventually, everyone caught on to her. She became upset when she didn’t receive the dean’s position. She burned all bridges and quit the next year.
My point? She reminded me of my narcissistic ex wife. I take no responsibility for the failure in that co-teaching relationship. And i take none in my marriage, except that I didn’t leave sooner.
If you have 12 successful relationships with every educator. And one epic fail. Who is the outlier there?
Similarly, my ex wife and her family is notorious for failed relationships.

I am 27 years old and I have been dealing with anxiety disorder since the end of 2021, and the period between the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 was particularly challenging for me. During that time, I often experienced anxiety attacks at night, although I didn't have them during the day. There was only one instance when I had an anxiety attack in the morning right after waking up.
In 2022, I decided to seek therapy to help me cope with my anxiety disorder. The therapy sessions proved to be quite helpful as they made me realize that anxiety disorders are common and that I'm not alone in experiencing them. At the beginning, I primarily struggled with health anxiety, but over time, I also started experiencing symptoms of harm OCD. I constantly had distressing images in my mind, depicting me hurting my loved ones. These intrusive thoughts intensified my anxiety, making it even more challenging to cope with.
In April 2022, I made the decision to switch jobs, and fortunately, the new job aligned perfectly with what I had always wanted. Despite the job change, I continued to experience anxiety attacks, but they were not as severe as before. Working from home provided me with flexibility, which contributed to my overall happiness. Throughout most of 2022, I was in a positive state of mind, even though intrusive thoughts were still present. I had become better at ignoring them and not letting them consume me.
In May 2023, I decided to pursue my graduate degree and enrolled in a Master's program. Initially, joining the program proved to be quite hectic for me as I had to attend early morning classes and then go to work. However, despite the challenges, I felt genuinely happy about this new chapter in my life. I attended classes regularly for the first two weeks, but then one day, I experienced a brief anxiety attack during class. I managed to regain control and handle it discreetly, but since then, I have struggled to attend classes. Even the thought of going to class now triggers anxiety attacks, making it difficult for me to overcome this hurdle.
How can I overcome this? Any suggestions?

Backstory is IMPORTANT here. Been together 4 years. He’s a recovering alcoholic (over 60 days sober now). He had lied to me about nearly everything you could imagine for the first 1-2, going on 3ish years. Boyfriend has cheated on everyone he’s been with. I’ve specifically caught him taking to another girl where he told me they were just friends, and they were heavily flirting, he was talking crap about me etc that led to a breakup. This was maybe 2 years ago. Got back together and have been on and off. Nearly each time he was talking to other people.
Fast forward to February, we broke up again He was looking for apartments behind my back without me, on dating apps talking to other people etc.
End of March/beginning of April he chose to get sober again (he’s tried before but that’s a whole other story). He apologized up and down saying he’s going to be different and sober and he’s so sorry for all the pain he’s caused etc. He was super sweet all the time and such.
Fast forward to now, it’s been 2 months since I’ve moved back in, and he almost compliments me, NEVER tells me he loves me first, never makes me feel good about me, asks how I’m doing, doesn’t seem to care in anything I’m interested in or passionate about.
Anyways… a girl he was friends with about 15-20 years ago (according to him, but it seems like there was way more there) messaged him out of the blue to “catch up”
To me, catching up would be maybe an hour or two conversation about what you do for work now, if you have kids, pets, if you’re happy and successful but instead these are what I believe to be red flags that she is fishing for more or he is trying to keep her on a hook until he gets rid of me etc.

• the conversation first spanned a full 24 hours of back and forth
• It has now spanned 6 days, every day talking, not including today because I’m not sure yet if they’ve spoken today so today could be 7 (again to me, catching up would be a short conversation… not continuously talking for day)
• She sent him multiple pictures of herself, one that she zoomed out of to clearly show her bust (in a tank top, not nude) (why would you do that if you’re just catching up?)
• She asked him for pictures of himself (why does that matter if you’re just “catching up?”
• She asked him his relationship status, and then continued to go on a rant about her terrible relationships etc (it seemed like she was fishing to be felt bad for and get attention)
• She was quite flirty saying things like “well come on over and eat some (food) and you can play that song you wrote me (apparently he wrote her a song years ago… he said it was a song about her, not FOR HER, she thinks differently)
• If he doesn’t answer her right away, she says things like “sorry if I’m bothering you, I’ll only message if you message me…. And then an hour later when he doesn’t say anything, she messages again asking him something or whatever.
• She like tells him everything she’s doing as she’s doing it, and she asks him the same constantly

These are just some examples. I’m well aware that my past with him has caused me significant trauma, but I genuinely don’t feel like I’m overreacting in being upset that he’s talking to her.
But to me, with the things she was asking, and the time it has gone on daily, it seems way more to me than catching up.
He said, “well I’m not doing anything wrong” and he doesn’t see why I’m upset at all. I told him I’m very uncomfortable by this and he said “well if she continues and goes any further, I’ll tell her no and we can only be friends”. HE ISNT FLIRTING BACK, he is just continuing talking to her normally.
If roles were reversed and if if my by had trust issues and pointed all of the things out that were bothering him with a conversation I was having with someone, I’d end communication with the “friend” in a heartbeat. No questions asked. But instead, boyfriend says I’m being over sensitive and overreacting.
Would you be worried too? Should I be worried? Do I have grounds to be upset?
I don't want it to come off as him being terrible and not doing anything right. He pays for all the rent for example, which I'm super thankful for.

SaaS is always a target of credit card fraud. If you are processing payments with Stripe for your business most likely you had already had to deal with this task. Actually it's not a one time tasks, it's a recurring taks you or your billing department has to keep a close eye and take action.
For our business we have been using Stripe for the past 8+ years to process the recurring payments for the subscriptions (I have no affiliation with them). It works well and they keep improving the service, however they are also not perfect. In the early years of our business I was in charge of taking care of payments and catch fraudulent activity and prevent them an keep this activity as minimal as possible. In 2016 Stripe introduced Radar to help us businesses fight against fraud and provide input to their systems so they can learn and act based on the millions of feedback. I was part of the Radar beta program and over the years I've spent countless hours playing with it and settung up rules to prevent fraud activity.
If you are using Stripe and you are tired of fighting against credit card fraud hopefully this post can help you. For us implementing donzens of rules helped to reduce credit card fraud by 98%.
Quick introduction to Radar With Radar rules you can allow, block or review payments. Broader rules let us process payments more easily but also allow more fraudulent activity. I like to have some strict rules in place - which you can review and change anytime. Let's start! When card country and IP address country don't match it is a huge red flag, especially when they are thousands of miles away. Example: card issues in Austria but the IP signup is coming from Nepal. You add the following block rule: Block if :card_country: = 'AT' AND :ip_country:= 'NP' Block if :card_country: = 'FR' AND :ip_country: = 'GB' A more simple approach is to allow only when the locations match Block if :card_country: = 'GE' AND :ip_country:!= 'GE' 👆that rule will allow German cards only when the IP is also from Germany You can add as many as you want based on previous activity you have seen on your account. Blocking dispoable emails is a must have. Scammers often use free email providers to generate these. By reviewing previous activity you can easily find these. Example: Block if :email_domain: = 'shadymail . com' Block if :email_domain: = 'yahoo . fr' You should limit declines. Banks try to do their best declining weird activity, but they are not perfect. So you can limit them and drastically decrease their chances of succeeding: Block if :declines_per_customer_hourly: = 5
The rule above will block any further attempts if the user tried to make a payment with a card 5x in an hour. Most of the legit payments are processed immediately at first attempt, so more attempts are more likely to be associated with fraud. This next is a relatively new Rule but super awesome. Preventing card testing. You know these folks have many card and they test them one by one untile they succeed. This rule help you to fight against this activity: Block if :card_count_for_billing_address_daily:> 3 More strict rule: Block if :card_count_for_billing_address_hourly:> 2
There are like a hundred rules in the Radar documentation, you can even combine them meaning the number of rules you can create is limitless. And they keep adding new rules to the system you can test. Some good tips: 1. Always ask for a CVC check 2. Always test a rule (test button) before setting it live. This way you can get ann estimate of the impact of the rule. If it blocks too many legit payments you might need to consider not implementing that rule and try to come up with something else. 3. Always review blocked payments and see if you need to change anything. These Radar rules above are just the tip of the iceberg, there are endless combination of them you can test and use. With their help at Kinsta we were able to significantly reduce fraud!
