Techstream is also just "available" on the internet. What's the software called?
Ford/ Mazda-Ford collab cars have great 3rd party dev support. FORscan. Does GM have such software too? If not what's the best generic windows software. Or Android. Or iOS/MacOS. What's the best auto parts OBDII tool (2-way) that will give me every feature for the most affordable price?
I'm asking here because my car is a 2023 and also an EUV. Info may have changed...

One of my favorite things about Mr. King is that he has a genuinely interesting voice when writing as himself. I am the sort to read all the notes before and after each story, and I will buy a new copy of a book I have if it has a new introduction by the author.
My personal favorite thing I've read was a pamphlet in a Ramones anthology I bought once. He discusses how much he loves the band and why. He talks about how one of the best moments of his life was singing Rockaway Beach with the band of writers he's in. He also tells a story about a dinner with Joey Ramone that made me love both of them more than I already did. I later bought a tribute album of Ramones covers simply because the back said he had written the liner notes, and it was once again an incredibly touching love letter.
For any other fans of his work what are some of your favorite things you've read of his that weren't a story? I'd love to hear other's weigh in.

So, to start things out, I am running a Pirate Themed campaign and am basing most of my ship-combat off the play-test Of Ships and The Sea UA that was released several years ago.
Broadly speaking, I like these rules because they give the Ship it's own turn to do stuff on (assuming crew positions have been filled) which means the PCs get to spend their turns doing PC stuff instead of sinking Actions/BAs to operate the ship.
Things have been chugging along quite nicely, and the party has just spent several weeks reclaiming an old derelict into a small sloop (1 mast, 8 bunks, 2 small ballista mounted on the deck) and I feel confident running both over-sea travel and most encounters using the UA listed above. My problem is that, in my world, the larger warships are supposed to have Cannons (most of the pirates also have flint locks and muskets as well, but their mechanics are pretty well covered).
In the upcoming session, the party is sailing to a nearby Lighthouse to parlay with an important NPC , hopefully to get information and resources. I am planning on having the baddies attack with the goal of destroying the lighthouse (it's lamp is magically ensuring that BBEG can't gain full strength).
This is supposed to be a climactic battle as the PCs have finally figured out who's on whose side and my ideal outcome (for narrative reasons) would be to destroy the Lighthouse and drive off the PCs.
I am looking for help with how to operate these ship cannons in a way that feels powerful without being overwhelming.
RAW, the ships have targeted attacks with Ballista (3d10 on hit) or Mangonels (5d10 on hit), and I'd be fine just slapping 'Cannon' flavor on the Mangonels for if the ship wants to target something specific.
However, I want to include a 'Broadside' mechanic where the ship opens up and fires all it's cannons (with the goal being structural dmg to the Lighthouse as well as effing up any PCs that are in the way)
My off-the-cuff idea was to make it force a DEX save to halve dmg and have it target everyone at once (including the Building), and then also assign some arbitrary number of HP to the Lighthouse that get's whittled down by these attacks, but I'm not sure how much damage I should actually be dealing on these attacks.
Party is 5x Lvl4 at this time (+ 1 ArchDruid NPC), so they're still relatively squishy (25-35HP) so if they fail their saves and I roll well on damage, 5d10 could wipe most of the party at once.
Any help balancing this would be much appreciated.

My 21’ Scat Pack Charger has been at the dealer for about a month now. At 35k miles it started knocking while driving down the interstate and they’re swapping the motor. It’s covered under warranty so I’m good. The question is, will I get any sort of extended warranty on this new motor? If not I can’t keep it. I’m not driving this thing for another 35k miles just for the new motor to grenade itself right after I run out of warranty miles.

Ok so the title kind of says it all. We had a heated argument because I told her racism is institutional and it has a financial impact on racial people. I mentioned articles and stats. She kind of went on saying things like "even if you're racial you can get out of poverty and make it". I told her I'm tired of those successful stories of racial people who made it because that's just a way for racist people to cover up racism and statistically speaking, yes some people make it but I'm not talking about "making it financially " but the unfair chances people havr due to race. She kept going with how her father is successful even though he is Indian and I told her I was super triggered and didn't want to keep going with this conversation. She told me racism existed 50 years ago but that intolerance doesn't exist anymore. I am myself not white and I found thar highly offensive as I was talking about my experience as a minority. It got into a heated fight and now she wants to talk and have a discussion but I don't really know what to say ? Like she said we can disagree and stay friends but on such a matter I'm not sure I'm okay to agree to disagree you know ? I don't really know how to approach this conversation. I want to educate her on the matter but is it even possible? I prepared a list of articles but I feel like people like her just refuse to get educated on the matter ? We have been friends for 10 years and I don't want to cut the friendship if it's salvageable but I have no idea how to salvage it ? I had no idea what her political opinions were until last week as we never really talked about it.

So first they come to your door and they talk to you about God or whatever. I don't care what name they give it. You start going they start convincing you that hey we're different we're real. And after you're there for a while they start pressuring you into becoming a witness. (First-hand experience) but then when you become a witness you are held accountable to duties of a witness. But before that they gaslight you and believing it's healthy for you to distance yourself from all of your other friends by insinuating that because they're not a witness that they're going to corrupt you in some even small way. So you've left your friends behind you've joined this group and now if you don't do the work that they ask you to do for free also while asking you to give them money they will push you away turn their backs on you and leave you with no one unless you come back and repent.
If you get rid of the god aspect then it's just a free slave labor cult. And I'm happy to call a cult because of religion or not if leaving the group means you're disbanded from everyone you cared about then they didn't actually care about you. And no gaslight you into saying we do care about you it's tough love turning around on you. If you turn your back on God then you turn your back on us. But this is nothing but manipulation tactics used for centuries through every form of governmental power dictatorship communist it doesn't matter. The point is it's manipulation simple as that. And yes I've had my time with witnesses and there are witnesses that I care for deeply because the people on the lower level the followers they're so far in that they don't even realize that they've been gasless so much. It's literally a psychological form of Stockholm syndrome but it's being manufactured and used. I've had too many crazy lying manipulative ex-girlfriends to not see through all this but when you're raised in it it's not really your fault.
So while I bash this cult I am not bashing the people in it for the most part most of them are just good people trying to find a happy lifestyle. But the big people that set up the conventions their headquarters that make up all the rules they make all their Flyers and media. They are the crooked Fox that are lying to everyone and taking your money using your labor telling you it's to spread the word but it's just a filter pockets constantly. Like eventually something's going to get exposed much like the Dugger I forget with that organization was called, I can only imagine how much abuse is going on with everything having to be so gas lit and secretive. You know you're basically taught in most religions that you don't speak up against your religious authorities to fully trust in them. This leaves a lot of room for abuse and manipulation. And as long as these kinds of religious groups exist, the more peaceful true religions that keeps himself are made to look worse every time a religion goes down and makes it all look bad.
I think in reality this is a bit of a rant that I've been bouncing around with for a very long time. But watching that Dugger documentary and talking with my wife who came from a very conservative Christian Church it is scary the breath of this kind of abuse how badly it's widespread and how covered up it always is.

Hey guys, Im sorry if there are similar posts to this one but I didn't find exactly what I wanted.
I am looking for a course recommendation, being a senior backend engineer with 10 years of experience and coming from PHP I would like to transition to GO. I did find some really highly rated courses on udemy from professor Trevor Sawler but these courses also cover a lot of 'basic' parts like general web app development, css/js, databases etc.
So is there someone with similar experience who already had experience/background with backend knowledge, which materials did you use that did not focus too much on broader concepts and was mostly golang focused?
